Saeka moved through the crowd, skipping as she did humming to some song in her head. She loved the energy of this fete along with the fact she was out with her big brother Xue. Any outing with a lot of people was entertainment for this tiny trouble makers as large gatherings meant possible accidents that she get to capitalize on and see everyday people do as well as just getting to play innocent and act the part of an excited girly girl that just wanted to see everything there was.

She made it to the petting zoo as she walked in with a smile " Whoa! There is so many Manabeasts. Though they are so cute!" She commented with glee. It wasn't the fact that they were cute it was the fact that while they looked like mostly average animals that these were literal sentient beasts of living mana and could actually cast actual spells without the need of a grimoire or assistance. She have seen instances of strong manabeasts in the wild and the herds some lead or protect. However she often found the domesticating of smaller ones very pathetic, just like this petting Zoo. Thoughts of wrecking havoc was running around in her head, even though she ignored them as she wasn't about to bring attention to herself. She still had that one masked entity to repay the favor of tormenting back to, if she could ever attempt to finding him. She didn't have the slightest clue on who it was or how they moved about without her being able to catch sight of them. If anything they were much more seasoned as a rogue then she was at the moment.

Xue stood beside his younger sister Saeka as they got to the petting zoo area of the Festival, while he normally wasnt one for crowds he knew that if he didnt keep a close eye on his sister it was highly likely that she would cause mischef and then some so he was sticking around to make sure everything went smoothly. While he had his usual disintrested look on his face the dark mages eyes were scanning everything and making sure that nothing escaped his gaze if something was amiss he would catch sight of it, as they got closer to where the mana beasts were Xue noticed that their was quite a bit of variety as far as the beasts went as their were some that that resembled boars and sheep while others appeared more avian like ducks and chickens.at his sisters words Xue gave the barest hint of a smile and nodded.”there are quite a few types but we should keep a look out since these are still beasts even if they are tamed theres always something that can change that” he warned lightly .
Xue knew that while there were many breeds of animals and mana beasts that had been bred specifly to remove the wildness from them with these ones it wasnt the case and the risk of one of them suddenly going wild and causing damage was always a risk hence why the tamers were there at current, Xues ears perked a bit as he suddenly heard the sounds of a child crying and throwing a tantrum and he let out a sigh as he glanced over in the direction of the noise. Sure enough it was a young noble girl who was crying and stomping her feet at the family servant demanding one of the mana beasts for herself and while the man was doing his best to pacify her the rogue honestly didnt not envy the man in the slightest.”seems there are some entitled kids here” he commented to Saeka in a tone low enough that only she would hear it
Saeka watched the Beasts with glee as she peered over to Xue listening to his words " They are so much like us. While they remain in pens destined to being a pet or someone's prey in some game. They have a longing as well to let loose. We enjoy our freedom as citizens but we just wait for the right conditions to be in play before that veil falls just as theirs will regardless of their breeding. A beast is a beast no matter how much you train it. It is who they are even if it never shows to be a threat to anyone. "She spoke in thought resting her chin on the pen fencing She was eye level with two black eyes of a swan watching her back.
[break][break] She lifted her head allowing her eye contact to break as she looked towards where Xue mention. She found the display distasteful as well as annoying. She allowed her big beaming eyes of joy to turn cold as they looked towards Xue listening to his near silent words as she nodded folding her arms on top of the fencing while resting her noes on them as she replied just as quietly to only him " Cause of course big brother, We are in the petting zoo of a spoiled noble girl's father's riches. This is just an attraction to get entertainment to some and to show wealth and a whole ' I love my daughter by spoiling her cause I can't be bothered to give her attention.'" She closed her eyes letting out a sigh before perking back up the next second with a giggle, her eyes once again bright and happy. " However it is. I am so glad I don't have a servant or someone to constantly follow me around." She commented to herself pushing off the fence as she stood up bringing out a hand fan she kept on her for outdoor occasions in the sun fanning herself keeping it infront of her mouth while replying. "I don't envy however has to put up with nobility as servants...can you imagine how embarrassed he must be by the display or how scared he might be if she tells her father or caretaker how she didn't get her way?" she asked in a soft tone.
[break][break] "You think she is going to cause trouble?" She asked tilting her head as she closed the fan resting its shut edge on her chin in curious thought watching the girl with her baby pink eyes. [break][break]
Xue listened to his younger sisters words and would nod in agreement before leaning over and whispering.”careful how you speak little sister while most might not see an issue there are those with sharp minds that might see such words as suspicious” he warned knowing that some in the magic knights and even the church might be sharp enough to catch the meaning of the younger girls words and it might spell some issues for them.”i agree though we need to be patient and we do have all the time in the world” he said calmly as he looked out amongst the animals with her. As the young brat a bit off kept yelling and demanding things from her caretaker Xue resisted the urge to facepalm as he heard Saeka making a whispered comment that this was just to show wealth and whole and that most likely the kid was spoiled because the parents didnt want to bother with attention.
“having a servant is handy but also a challenge in its own ways then again I mostly keep to myself at home as you know “ he said knowing that to most of the family he tended to be a bit antisocial since he liked peace and quiet to either hone his craft or train himself further with his various weapons.”I bet he is beyond embarrrased and scared if it where me honestly I would teach the kid some humility but at the end of the day its not my issue” he said with a shrug of his shoulders. As he saw the kid suddenly start to go towards the gates and start grabbing at the locks he felt a small jolt of annoyance before he looked at Saeka.”looks like it might become our problem get ready incase something happens because of the brat” he said his senses on high alert since if the beasts rampaged it would cause an issue for everyone in the area and he would rather not deal with such a thing.
" Oh who cares how I speak? "She asked confused leaning on her heels lacing her fingers behind her back with a smile "I have done nothing wrong for any scolding dear brother. Plus you are boring and missing out on life staying at home. There is so many opportunities to make friends and to have adventures. "She said with a smile as she pouted " servants seem annoying in my opinion always saying this and that. why would i need someone when i got you doing that plenty" She said with a tease watching the child as she sighed shaking her head
[break][break] " Too bad...I was hoping to have fun and find new friends." She spoke with a smile bouncing on the balls of her feet trying to get a better view leaning forward " Oh this is going to be exciting! Lets try to have fun while relaxing yeah?" She asked with a giggle slowly walking towards the girl, eager to see what was to happen. she looked towards the pen seeing it as one of the larger pens watching a few more swans, ducks and geese in it as she was curious why all those were in one pen instead of multiple smaller ones like the rest.

Xue listened to her as she said that she did nothing to deserve being scolded and also mentioned that he was boring for not wanting to be out and about and staying at home,at that the silver haired man sighed and shrugged his eyes still holding a bored look as he glanced at her.”I wasnt meaning to speak as if scolding you sister just offereing helpful advice its not a bad thing to be to careful". Xue went on after a moment “I'm not boring I just dont like dealing with most people I would rather test out a new sword or spear then being at a ball or giant celebration” he stated since he was very selective about when he wanted to deal with people, it also had to do with his seals since he was subdued but even still he could feel annoyance flare up when too many people were around and bugging him hence he normally stayed home and trained or was experimenting with new ingredients.
As Saeka mentioned that they can have some fun while relaxing Xue instantly got a cold shiver in his spine as he watched the child before they suddenly went to the latches on the gates and started to unlock and open them, the animals already riled from the screaming and crying suddenly busted out of the gates, a gang of giant geese and ducks instantly started to rush forward in the direction of Xue and Saeka.”no relaxing we need to run Now before we are trampled” he said as he instantly turned and started to run since while he could use a spell to deal with them he needed more space and time and with them rushing it put not only him but Saeka in a bad situation as well
"Oh I understand completely where you coming from. "She teased "while caution is good, most who would be on there guard is not going to be due to needing to be in this fete. There is no trouble caused. as for you being boring, you are so boring cause you don't want to do anything outside the house. "she pouted before perking up hearing the sound of metal being unlocked before hearing dreaded honks and screaming kids and keepers.
[break][break] "Oh dear.."She spoke before backing up as Xue gave the order for them to start running as they saw the manabeasts stampeding right towards them. " You don't have to tell me twice." She spoke darting after him, attempting her best to keep out of the way of some by standards standing around in shock of the impending stamped. None of her spells was going to be of assistance to her at the moment without giving away anything about herself. Her spells weren't exactly the prettiest to look at, nor were they meant to be seen by anyone not within the underbelly. They weren't subtle and with them being primarily illusions, it wouldn't just be the manabeasts affected, it would also affect the civilians around herself. She climbed on to one of the pen's fences " I will distract them till your ready. " She spoke to Xue running towards the birds stopping on the fence. " Hey you dumb birds! This way!" She called to the manabeasts seeing them immediately stop to turn towards her.
[break][break] She was expecting a few of them to turn to her but not the entire flock. " oh uh nice birdies..." She said backing up along the fences some looking around noting the placements of the birds and an odd ducklings straying a bit from the group " This way." She called to the birds. was this the smart tactic? No. However, this was the best way to buy time for everyone even if she is literally having to jump and watch her footing of the birds trying their best to get at her. This was one creature she wasn't about to deal with anymore.
[break][break] She herded the creatures to follow her , picking up a stray swan duckling from nearly getting stomped on by the citizens before climbing back on the fence posts holding the chirping Manabeast duckling close as she worked her way quickly towards Xue, hoping he had a plan set and ready to go as she could feel these birds nipping at her feet , heels and legs, not managing to cause too much damage, unable to get a full hold her her twig like figure. [break][break]

Xue got ready to deal with the birds that had been released once he heard Saeka suddenly call out to them and call them dumb something that for some reason set the birds off and caused them to suddenly turn and start chasing her with great intent, the dark mage took a deep breath before releasing then clapping his hands together. In that moment darkness appeared around his feet and started to cover and coat the rogue forming a scalelike pattern across his body and stopping at his cheeks with another small patch of dark scales across the bridge of his nose making him look rather dragonlike as he would then move forward to help his sister, while the scales protected him they didnt hinder his movement as all as they allowed him to remain very flexable. He quickly moved past her and grabbed two of the giant manabeast ducks by the neck before suddenly pushing them down and restraining them.
After a few moments the two had calmed and the tamers came over and took the two, Xue had been careful not to harm them only restrain their movement but now he needed to get the remainder of the beasts dealt with.”Sister try to restrain them but dont harm them if we do then its on our heads” he called out to her as he rushed over to try and grab a few more of the beasts to stop them from chasing her.
Saeka continued her run as the duckling in her hands chirped in fun delight. "How are you enjoying this!" She asked the duckling. She was enjoying herself but she was hiding it with the annoyance of this event. she and Xue were having to pick up after some noble's bratty kid, who decided to throw a tantrum over these beasts. And she was often the one who most assume should act like that. [break][break] She felt her brother's mana flare as she looked over her shoulder watching his dark magic formed from the ground around him, crawling its way up around him like armor. She was always amazed seeing his armor and abilities. Sometimes, she was jealous that her magic only came to be like illusions, even though such illusions were fitting for who she was. The appearance, her voice, her body language. It all was an illusion to hide the inner beast inside herself. She hated this illusion with a passion, however it was one she accepted as it was the most believable option. She wasn't taken seriously by most until they find a knife in their back and a bored Saeka speaking of their business being done.
[break][break] She moved towards a set of tamers as she whistled "Wake up please, I can't be running the entire time!." She called out getting their attention as she moved to the pen sitting the duckling down "Stay there." She spoke getting out of the way of some ducklings that had followed for the duckling, letting the tamers deal with them as she watched a lone swan twice her size stare down at her as she stared up " Oh dear god." She whispered in surprise of the swans size compared to herself. She side stepped the swan's beak pecking. " Hey!" She called "Dumb bird!" She said getting a Whoop from the swan in response. As it lowered its head, wings up and out as both angerly stared down each other. She pushed up a sleeve keeping low but never breaking sight as it was a stand off between them. [break][break] Taking her time she moved quickly tackling the swan, grappling its neck, holding it's beck shut getting muffled whoops feeling its feet trying its best to push her off. "Stop struggling! I won!" She said to the beast only to feel the beast pull back and up with all its might sending her flying backwards on to her back hitting the ground. [break][break] The tamers managed to get ahold of it, herding it into it's own pen again. as Saeka laid on the ground blinking " Did I just lose a wrestling match to a swan....A damn swan?" she asked in her confused dazed state, She knew she wasn't going to live this down as she pushed herself off the ground in a jump, dusting the grass off herself before sticking her toung out at the birds before heading back over to Xue, pulling some straw from her ponytail and skirt "Can we go home and forget that ever happened brother?" She asked in soft annoyance.
