[attr="class","Enlilscroll"]The raven-haired noble continued to listen and quirked an eyebrow at her words it was easy to see that he wasn't buying what she was selling. "Are you sure about that? I mean, he took his own father's head clean off his shoulders and smirked when he did it before threatening his mother." he said, he knew that he had removed the tongue of a servant but that didn't add to the point he was attempting to make. "Family means little to him and right now he likely sees you, Kea and Leonard, as his enemies as you didn't follow him into the dark underbelly of the criminal underworld." he said pouring water over his hands once more to clean them. He hated how dried blood made his skin feel, in honesty, he hated how any sort of blood felt on his body. He shook his head when she brought up the squads and how that would be enough.
"Your uncle was a member of the Crimson Lions, it didn't stop him." he knew that she was trying to believe that there was still some good in her cousin, he knew that he was likely ripping away that belief but he didn't believe that she was as naive as Amaya was. "The magic knights can help them while they are inside the squad headquarters but outside of it, especially when they are alone, they don't have that protection. What happened on your estate proved that." he looked up at her "I believe you are a smart woman Miss Vermilion, I also believe you are speaking words to reassure yourself that your loved ones will be spared his wrath, however, I like to think you can see the situation for what it really is as much as you may not wish to admit it" he said calmly.
"Then those pieces must be special to you, please take care of them." he said thinking about what she said about the little jewellery that she would wear. He was a gemologist and jeweller so it always made him happy when someone thought of his pieces in such a way and loved the look of the owner that cherished it. He believed any within his craft felt the same way, then again, he believed any true craft person would be that way. His was just a hobby as he had little time for it to be anything more, then again, he wasn't sure if his father would even let him attempt to make it anything more. He practised his craft by making gifts for those within his circle or even mending and/or cleaning pieces that they or some idiot servant managed to break or were unable to keep clean.
"Well, thanks to Taiyo's actions it's something that no one in your family has to worry about any longer." he said with a shrug watching the bats fly towards them. "Also, politics are just as required as your barbaric methods if not more so." he said watching as she fought the bats. "It is politics that can start and end wars. That raises and reduces taxes. There are other things but we would be here all day and I have more important things to do." he said watching as she quickly and effortlessly ripped the bats apart "The same could be said for any animal, but no, they'll be buried that way if they don't fertilize the crops an animal gets a meal and so their death's have meaning in a number of ways." It was as simple as that to him.
"If this was a magic knight mission or even a mission you, yourself had taken from the witch herself then I would be more inclined to reason with you, but, since neither statement is correct and this is in fact my task I will request you respect my wishes to bury them." he said his tone showing he wouldn't back down from this. He knew the witch would prefer his methods over hers. He had already started carefully removing the eyes, as like every other bat before the ones he had now been given he checked carefully for flaws and impurities before placing them into the jar. Once done he used a tool from his side pouch and dug a hole for the bats and covered them up before washing his hands and the tool itself placing the tool and the jar into his pouch before standing up. "I'm ready to go now Miss Vermilion." he said moving out of the cage in the general direction that the firebird was said to be in without another word.
Leonora watched him closely as she sighed " whatever you say." She said finding her way would have been much easier and not so messy. She shaked her head as she folded her arm tossing her head back to push some of her bangs out of the way. She watched him burry the batts and clean himself and his tools as well as secure their loot. She was glad they got the eyes that were requested of them both. Now was the time to get the rest of ingredients, which meant to fight a fire bird to retrieve its feathers from it.
[break][break] She did find it ironic for the fact she was most likely going to be fighting the firebird for its feathers, She had feather magic with a fire aesthetic to it. She in terms of mockery is a human that is much like a firebird. She enjoyed birds and their feathers along with the way they tend to be, free, always moving. the moment they can fly they are off to do whatever they want without the restrictions of family keeping them bound. they get to roam and be free of everything in the sky. They were perfect in her mind but then again they were just animals.

She closed her eyes as she followed him towards their next destination. [break][break]

[attr="class","Enlilscroll"]He turned his eyes to look at her as he placed the jar of bat eyes that they had just collected safely away into the satchel he carried the tools of his craft. The last thing he wanted was for the ingredients to get damaged and then have to kill additional bats. He hated the way they cried, the tearing of flesh and bone as she pulled them apart, the feeling of the blood on his hands as he had to take the eyes out, the fact he had to take the eyes out and most of all he disliked the company he had at present. The sooner that this job was over the sooner he and his would-be stalker could part ways and he could hopefully not see her again. It was just so odd that out of the three trips he had taken of late she was there.
This unnerved him to no end. He moved away from the graves and brought out a map stopping he unfolded it and looked at the map before looking at anything that was recognisable around them that was on the map, he noticed something similar and used that to move in the direction they were needing to go. He remained completely quiet as he walked but stopped the moment he started to see burning trees knowing they were where they needed to be. "Ever Flame trees." he said placing the map away. "It would seem we have arrived at our destination, I have no idea whereabouts within these trees we may find what we are looking for, also, I am wary about entering the confines of those trees, the oxygen would be limited, the heat would be unbearable and the chances of being injured would be high." he said looking at her wondering if she had a plan for their current predicament.
Leonora watched him closely as she could tell he was sick to his stoumach of her methods of handling this task. he had a fair point but again he wasn't the one having to commit the murder of the creatures. she didn't like these jobs but they were necessary. It isnt something she was going out to do on her time off for the fun of it. She was doing this on a request of a fellow witch. It was simple as that. But then again it wasn't enlil ending these creatures lives. It was by her hands and her willingness to take on that fault. She sighed looking away as he began to lead the way.
[break][break] She walked after him as she watched the scenary change to a grove of blazing trees " Ever flame trees." She spoke knowing exactly what was needed as she lifted up her index and middle finger of her left hand forming three white flame lit feathers in between them as she sent the three feathers into a tree at seemingly random allowing her flames to interact with the flames of the tree before hearing a loud kaw of a bird before the flames roared up into a form of a fiery bird "like I thought." She said with a smirk watching two birds rise up in anger "They don't like other flames in their territory. "She said [break][break]
