The damage from the tornado was unprecedented. Carts were upturned, doors were torn from their hinges, and discarded belongings were strewn all over Nairn. The light, tepid rain had been sprinkling over the church's efforts to corral the impoverished. David was one of the few who had heeded Nairn's cries for assistance. When David arrived, he discovered that the number of individuals who had passed away was relatively low. The deacons were devoted to their sacred duties, offering prayers for the departed. The conveyance of government funding through the church, in exchange for citizens' assistance, was a significant boon for everyone present in Nairn. Whether or not they were here for genuinely earnest reasons, if they did their part, they would be paid. A local aristocrat oversaw the rebuilding efforts, and David didn't want to stir the man out of his diligence. It would be counter-productive and pointless to lodge any and every possible query that David personally had through him. David watched as administrative efforts and the church's guidance slowly mended the town's many hardships.
The survivors were given rationed unspoiled food, and freshwater was provided to them. The clergy blanketed and clothed those in need. Nairn's city guards were surprisingly efficient architects. Their zeal shined even through the less-than-ideal conditions they worked in. David walked through the crowds profoundly sympathetic to their plight. "It is quite a spectacle to witness the effects of Mother Nature's wrath on Nairn's structures. The aftermath is truly impressive to see up close." He interacted with the public to gather their feedback and assess their general satisfaction with the assistance they had received thus far. It was rare to find anyone less than happy with how the state managed these factors outside its influence. David, who was compiling notes for a report, had summarised his notary efforts towards pointing out that the allocated funding was excessively ample. He wrote that " The people of Clover in Nairn are in high spirits." Hesitantly, he proceeded to inscribe "Despite the weather. " He tucked his pencil back into the top pocket of his cloak after a thoughtful nibble. David felt that despite all the efforts made by the church and the crown, there was still room for further improvement.

"Aw you want us to stop here instead of getting to the captial!" Called Saeka in annoyance to David walking beside him. She wanted to get to the capital so she could tend to her real objective. She needed to hunt someone or something down. Her need to strike out and shed blood was getting harder and harder by the second. As much as she was wanting to stay in the cart and not tend to this. It did seem her escort had a much bigger heart then she thought as she walked next to him.
[break][break]
Did she seem rude? Absolutely. However, She didn't care, She was a spoiled brat when it came down to how she acted. She wanted to do what she wanted without any restraint. She wanted to paint the world in red and go on hunts every second of the day. However she knew that was not possible and would cause a lot of issue for her family. They understood her and took her in as one of their own. They never treated her differently, they never tossed her to the cold like her birth family. No, She was loyal to the family that accepted the sweet pretty little psycho that she was. It was that and well she had a walking reminder of a big brother with a dark secret with what can happen if she doesn't maintain her need to kill. She hasn't seen what his dark secret was like first hand, but she has heard the stories of it. She heard all about it. Part of her wanted to see that side but another part of her knew it was going to possibly result in guilt and or death and a lot of recovery and reflection in Leggiog. A place she wasn't a frequent visitor of for the past few years, but a place she knew well and shuddered at the thought of it.
[break][break] She calmed herself down having to keep collected " Alright" She said with a smile " Lets assist them in picking up the pieces yea?" she asked sweetly adjusting her cloak into the knapsack on her back, placing it back on the cart. She didn't need anything in it as any weapons she had was hidden on her at all times, along with her grimoire.
Taiyo knew of a tornado that hit Nairn. He could simply let them be but he knew that they needed the help. It was another way to get paid so why not head over and earn some money? He wasn’t a mercenary but without the steady stream of income he had as a magic knight then he had to do other things to get that money. While he could steal from others, he would rather get the money himself by earning it. That wasn’t to say he was beyond taking something he really wanted. The real question was why would he do anything to help the same kingdom that casted him out? He didn’t really care for the people of Clover. The people that he cared for the most were not even his allies. Those were the members of his family that chose to stay in Clover like slaves to a system. They were not yet liberated by the freedoms he had but that was something that they had to deal with. While it would be easy to hunt them, they weren’t worth his time. None of them were as strong as his sister and so they were significantly weaker than he was. At least, so he thought. He wasn’t sure what happened during the time they spent apart. [break][break] Taiyo decided to be a Good Samaritan and that took him on a journey to Nairn. Now a guy who focused on moving in the quiet, Taiyo didn’t fly to the location. He decided to walk there while having his face covered by a hooded cloak. He walked slowly until he finally came upon the site. There was lots of debris around which was expected. There were people picking up the pieces and trying to get the place back together. Taiyo sighed and approached, offering his services. [break][break] Now with the drive to help these people, Taiyo started to help pick up the pieces when he noticed two others helping out. He didn’t know who they were or if they knew who he was. Even so, it wouldn’t help to act friendly. They could be valuable in the future so that was a reason as good as any to have small talk with the folks. ”Hey there; real unfortunate what happened to these people, isn’t it?” His eyes and hair were still hidden in the hooded cloak when he looked up at them. Neither of them seemed like magic knights or members of the church but he couldn’t be too careful when it came to people he was unfamiliar with. He couldn’t be too careful even when it came to people he knew well. That was something he knew for a fact. Either way, he still had to interact with others and find out more. If his plans were going to be realized then he needed people to use to get there. He couldn’t do that without actually meeting and watching others. It was a necessary risk. [break][break] He continued to lift up pieces of debris and moved it out of the way. ”Nice of you to give the people a hand when they need it the most.” While this was casual conversation, it would also be a good way to see what kind of people were there. Maybe they would be able to present a lie on who they were and he would be completely wrong. Even though that was a possibility, again, he had to try to interact with others in order to see if they were capable of advancing his plans.

[attr="class","luthorscroll2"] Stats and SP: [break][break] TL;DR: Decide to help out[break] Chats with David and Saeka
Saeka. An enigmatic young woman with many secrets asked him to accompany her to the capital. David's companion frequently tried to conceal or modify her genuine personality. Her rant was executed perfectly. David had some suspicions but didn't fully comprehend her distinct character. At first, it seemed simple for David to take on the responsibility of accompanying her to the capital. David averted his gaze from the town as it worked to salvage itself. Local citizens were picking up the pieces of their fractured lives. Some appeared to have no qualms with approaching a man staring at them. Lost in consideration for their plight, he spoke sagaciously to Saeka. "The hands that help are holier than the lips that pray." They were approached by an unknown individual who had been moving debris. David's chance to share some insightful wisdom with the young woman was interrupted, possibly the only opportunity he had. David promptly responded to the man's question, expressing his sympathy, saying, "It is miserable." David showed his gratitude for the kind words he received from the man by returning the compliment."It's admirable that you're willing to help people when they need it." David had no reason to lie to the stranger and believed the man had good intentions. "Upon seeing the aftermath of the incident, we couldn't help but feel the need to offer our assistance in any way possible. It's disheartening to witness such damage, and we hope to provide some comfort during this difficult time." Insinuating only that the two travellers were no less benevolent. David had yet to determine the most practical way to initiate this charitable project, but he was fully committed to giving it his all.

Saeka sighed shaking her head. She didn't have time helping out with charity. She had a place she needed to be in a few days along with checking in before the family would start wandering where she was or ask why she hadn't reported in. She didn't need to be sent after or sent back for punishment. She was enjoying her travels and the clients she had made over the years. She looked around before calming herself. She had to get her annoyance under wrap. She was a elegant noble woman on the travels back to the capital with her guard. That was what she needed to be. She wasn't about to not be.
[break][break] "Hands that help are holier then lips that pray. I do not pray to any god, cause no god worth their salt would allow those down here to suffer if they cared for so."She said gently taking off her laced black gloves, putting them back in her pocket. She reached down in a crouch to pick up the debris as she looked up at an angle at the hooded figure. Something about him was suspicious as she wasn't sure why anyone would wish to hide themselves entirely. Maybe he was this village's deformed cripple that seemed to be of every village. She watched his movements and hands closely making a mental note to herself as she stood back up handing the piece of debris to David, ensuring her clothing didn't get dirty.
[break][break] She felt her curiosity get the best of her before her mind could cage it as she smiled " Why do you hide under that cloak? It is really hot out here?" She asked, Adjusting her own as she tilted her head, crouching down to pick another debris up with the tips of her fingers , giving it to David to remove and dispose of.
[attr="class","luthorscroll"] With his face hidden by the cloak, Taiyo got to work to help out the citizens. He also interacted with the two other people who had decided to help the village out as well. He moved debris from the ground and disposed of it, watching the other two do the same. Now that the work got on its way, he went with the motions of everyone else. He didn’t mind helping out if it was going to ultimately help his cause. Money was always a good way to assist him on his quest and so he was there. While in Clover, he was going to get this done and be on his way. He couldn’t safely travel to the Noble Region and seeing any member of his family that was there was a waste of time as they would either attack him or try to turn him in. At least, that was what he believed they would do and if they did such a thing, could he blame them? After all, he was a threat and one that brought their family down from its natural seat among the higher echelons of society. [break][break] The young leader sparked up conversation, speaking about how unfortunate it was for the people who had to go through the destruction. He also told the other two that it was nice of them to help others out when there was a need. The man spoke first. He called the event that happened to the people of the town miserable. He then called Taiyo admirable for helping out the people in need. He then spoke of how seeing the aftermath compelled him to feel the need of helping out in any way possible. He also spoke of how it was depressing to witness such damage and hoped that they could bring some level of comfort to the people. He sounded like a really nice guy. ”That’s very nice of you, my friend. A person with a heart like yours is honorable. There are too few people with the will to help others or even care for people around them. Even if it feels like people will use your kindness, it is said somewhere that kindness out there will find you in abundance.” [break][break] Taiyo moved some debris over to an area where they were piling up the debris to destroy it with magic or that’s what he believed they would do. When he got back to where the other two were, the girl asked him why he hid under the cloak, asking if it was really hot. He showed a gentle like smile though that would be all they would see. ”No, it isn’t hot at all nor is it cold. I simply like to keep on the move and be on the way without trouble. Many people are quick to judge and assume. Some say I have a scary face. So I tend to keep it hidden to ease people, y’know? Anyway, I am Daggeron Solaris. May I ask your names?”
David endeavoured to maintain his composure amidst his interaction with the individual. His outward demeanour was scrutinised as the residents of Clover were grappling with rumours of civil unrest, and tensions were running high. When Saeka presented David with debris, his brief distraction caused him to fumble and drop it on his toes, resulting in a sharp wave of discomfort. David's countenance contorted with unease as he listened to the sophisticated and polished tone of the cloaked individual. He tried to conceal the physical pain he was experiencing, but resolutely, he persevered with the formalities. Despite the eloquent introduction and blessings bestowed upon him by Daggeron, David needed help to recollect any prior knowledge of House Solaris. Many Magic Knights and criminals often used various aliases and pseudonyms within the Kingdom. David was initially untroubled by the individual but found it difficult to believe that an erudite individual like him would perform such menial tasks. How he responded to Saeka's question was remorseful. David deliberately paused and reflected on his thoughts before answering. The formalities continued, names were exchanged, and assistance was provided. Despite the calamities, David was grateful for the semblance of common morale around Clover, which was more significant than ambivalent, complacent, or sad. The citizens of the Kingdom were generally industrious, which was evident from the civility of the reconstruction process. David responded absentmindedly, introducing himself with a slight hand gesture. "Greetings, my name is David," he said distractedly. The young swordsman was prepared to sleuth for more information. But sensed; while profitable, it was potentially dangerous to do so.
His main objective was to escort the young woman to the capital. The authority to give orders kept shifting between them. Their conversations were often brief and superficial. David realised early on that their friendship was artificial and they would likely never meet again. Prayers and thoughts only did so much, and more concerning matters required his attention. It had been a week since David wrote home to his parents. His ink was dry, and his squibbish need for the dry smell of a library made him itchy around the collar. David wasn't satisfied with impatience to define his situation, but he found a feasible synonym for the impertinence he felt. He glanced at Saeka, regretting his task. If she introduced herself, it would be of her own volition. It remained to be seen if she would exhibit politeness. She usually seemed pretty reasonable and a little determined, which was quickly attributed to her youth. Anxiety clouded David's judgement as he cleared town debris. A metaphorical black shadow loomed, disconcerting him. His mind slowed. The poignancy of Saeka's remarks and the impracticality of the number of knives she owned put David on edge. He could be a means to an end, a loose end to tie. He heard ravens crowing, breaking his reverie and the silence. Saw them circling overhead like he was carrion already fermenting in the field. Since acquiring Excalibur, every step he took from his parents' house filled him with regret.

Saeka assisted moving the debris, using only one hand and ensuring nothing got on her clothing. Did she care of the clothing? No she would love to burn some of her clothing. However, she had a part to play and a mask to keep on. Clover wouldn't understand or accept her if it fell. Her family would have more work on their hands. She had managed to contact her mother every day of her travels as while she didn't need to contact for every day, she did out of habit. She was out on her own, she was trying to get to point a to point b with a challenge of having a escort.
[break][break] A smile kept on her face as she listened to his words. toward David along with towards her. she heard David's comment of the situation and could tell he was still unsure about her. Which was fine. Perhaps she shouldn't have ensured him she was capable of somewhat handling herself with her butterknieves, so to speak. However it was also better he didn't get attached to her or her existence. She was curious of what he would think of her if he knew the real her? Would he call her a monster? a Freak? A psychopath? She wasn't sure what he would think of her or if she would feel anything, or more truly feel anything.
[break][break] She focused her thoughts back to the cloaked man next to her " I am Adrenna. Daggeron Solaris? What an interesting name. It sounds much to noble for a wandering traveler like yourself. It sounds more like a name a prince or princess would give to a dragon of a Manabeast that hold cosmic magic. Too much of a holy then though name for one who wishes to not be a target or known. Then again I am not your parents plus my naming of things hasn't been the best, I have a wolf of a Manabeast back home, I often called it fifi cause well I was but a child without knowing cute pet names took away from the monster of a beast he was. I miss him. Honestly if it was I..I wouldnt give such a honorable sounding name a ring as there are bandits and other unsightly figures that might think such a majestic name has loot to behold. 'She spoke already knowing from the name who she was dealing with. The name was something she wasn't buying and that showed from her assumed arrogance of how ridiculous allowing such a name to be known beyond the safety of the capital. She might play the part of a innocent, naive 15 year old of a noble background given her clothes and education. but she wasn't dumb. She was going to find more and see how far she could push Daggeron. Everyone had a breaking point. she was going to see exactly where his was. She found entertainment that was much too easy. [break][break] No she knew exactly from that name who she was dealing with as word gets out quickly in her line of work. She knew the drama going on in the kingdom. it wasn't exactly secret, nor was it handled on any side but the Ravencrest. She thought her family was able to hide their activities and any words of their movements but man the rumors only spoke of the heir of the vermillion house hold, the heiress had no horrible rumors other then just being a ditzy socialite. [break][break] Saeka watched him calmly before looking over a David picking up even more debris giving it to him. She kept a smile and happy demeanor on her face before realizing the assumptions " I am sorry for assuming anything. It was very very rude of me." She spoke "I am still very young and learning of my words holdings truths to my actions. "She spoke sounding earnest and sorry for her words. "I am sure your family has its reasons for such names and while it is not my place to judge it is still something I would not let known outside the Royal capital as the world out here is not safe and allowing others to know you have wealth and power outside places that the magic knights are not very promenade. Though if i am honest, I am nothing but a commoner from the forsaken reign, on a quest to find my father since he is all I possibly have left in this world." She spoke with sadness in her voice looking down at her hands "I know know what his name is and his last job months ago. I hope, I can find him." She said gently. [break][break]

[attr="class","luthorscroll"] As he tended to the work provided, the two who were also there were spoken to. They spoke of the people they were helping and how it was a tragic situation that led to them losing their homes. Taiyo told the man that a heart like his was honorable. He also told the man that his kindness would be repaid in abundance if the saying was right. On the other hand, the girl was rather inquisitive. She wanted to know why he wore a cloak. She had asked if it was because of it being hot but Taiyo assured her that that was not the case. He simply liked to be on the move without trouble. He spoke of how many were quick to judge and assume. He also told them that he had a scary face. He introduced himself under the name Daggeron Solaris and asked the two others to introduce themselves. [break][break] The man spoke up and introduced himself as David. ”Nice to meet you, David. A man with a heart like yours is rather refreshing to see. Though, I’ve met others who would help as well. Some of them would do it out of feeling obligated to do so. To them, this was a chore. You however seem to be doing this out of the kindness of your own heart. I must ask, why help people you do not know? Is it because of that being who you were? Maybe there is a level of trust you want to build and this is a way to show such? Or maybe, you simply wanted to see a reward?” [break][break] Then came the young lady. She introduced herself as Adrenna. She then questioned his name, stating that it sounded like it was a name fit for a noble and not some wanderer. She even said it was a name that a royal would give to their manabeast. She went further to speak of her past manabeast and how her naming of it wasn’t that great so she couldn’t exactly fault his parents. ”That’s the thing, not many know my name. I generally am on the move a lot and any bandits who try to go for me usually realize they’re wasting their time. Making assumptions is generally bad though as they could make a huge mistake. I am not from this place anyway so naming conventions are different. To think that my name sounded like nobility… who’d thought.” [break][break] He got back to work as she spoke again, apologizing for making assumptions on his name. She then explained that she was rude and it was due to her being so young. She then spoke of his family having their reasons for choosing such a name for him. She warned him not to let anyone outside of the Royal Capital know that was his name as it would make others assume that he had wealth and power outside of the places that the magic knights were not prominent in. She then spoke of herself being a commoner from the forsaken region and how she was trying to find her father. ”Well then, I wish you good luck in finding your father. May that bring joy and accomplishment to you. As for you, David, I hope you find success in your endeavors as well.” [break][break] Work was far from over but he continued to assist in getting the debris moved. While tempted to use his magic to disintegrate the debris to nothingness to rid everyone of the relocation, he decided against it. After all, that would practically be revealing himself. The work may seem hard at the start but once he was in the rhythm of things it got easier. Talking to the 2 strangers, David and Adrenna, also seem to have helped with making the time fly by. [break][break] After feeling like he contributed enough, he dusted off his hands and stretched a bit, making sure that he stayed hidden behind the cloak. ”It was nice meeting the both of you. I have done my share to help but now I must be on my way. Again, good luck with finding your father and everything else.” He started moving away. He got his payment and started his journey. His destination was quite a ways away but that didn’t matter to him as he wasn’t scared. He was strong enough to handle the average threat and leave no trace of his opponent. That was a side he kept hidden for all of those years. The pure will of decimating an opponent. It sent a thrill through his spine which was something he felt fully when he faced his father and killed him. It was the thrill that made him feel amazing after he beheaded his father. He should have felt remorseful but he didn’t. His dad lost because of a faulty sword and because he wasn’t strong enough. This was why Taiyo believed very strongly that the strong should lead. [break][break] After a long walk, he ended at a location he called the gateway. Due to the nature of having to now watch over his shoulder, he never walked directly to the estate. He would always be portaled there by Lucia as a safety measure. He expected Lucia to show up to the location soon so he sat and waited. He closed his eyes and took deep breaths. After a few minutes, Lucia opened a portal and walked through. She greeted him and he smiled at her. He stood up and dusted off before walking through the portal which closed as soon as the both of them passed through. He was now safely in his estate. ”Thank you, Lucia.” [break][break]Exit
David took a moment to gather his thoughts, carefully considering all aspects of the man's questions. It felt like a ferocious lion was attacking him. Although the man didn't seem immediately oppressive, Daggeron's words were like sharp knives, poking at every shadow. When asked why he helped the people there, David answered thoughtfully, "Because it's the right thing to do." He smiled and listened attentively to his companion, who persistently and subtly interrogated Daggeron. Despite her questioning, the cloaked man remained adamant that he was not the person Adrenna believed him to be. David bid him farewell when directly addressed, " May your endeavours be just as successful."
After Daggeron departed, David shifted his attention to Adrenna, sensing that he had voiced his thoughts aloud. "I reckon you scared him off." David's curiosity was satisfied without asking direct questions as he knew things were not as they seemed. He shrugged and resumed absentmindedly moving debris. Encountering Daggeron had been a delightful experience during his journey. After a while, David figured there was no harm in retiring from their work. A majority of the hard labour had been attended to. The citizens were safe. The church had done its part. If there was anything left to do, it was to appreciate the good they had done here. David carefully considered Daggeron's words as if they were causing him to bleed. The answers David gave in response did not reflect any grand ambitions. David found the interaction ostentatious.
Adrenna watched Daggeron closely as the name alone told her more then she wanted to as she handed David another piece of debris. Which it wasn't her place. That name was too out of place to be not fake. As a wanderer, you want a name that seems average at best. No attention drawn to them. Just as her, she seemed of lesser noble by the make and look of her clothing, her name was in that range as well. All about her was just what she wanted others to believe. She was not happy having to feel with who she was. She watched Daggeron finish his work before talking with David and herself only to him decide it was time to leave. She knew his sarcasm and his I don't care attitude. He might be following everyone but he wasn't fooling her. Not in the slightest
[break][break] Once he was out of ear shot she moved closer to David watching the direction the hooded wanderer went "David...please be careful around him or anyone with a name of Solaris. "She said gently crouching down picking up another debris with her index and thumb as she lifted herself back up "I am Saying this because he is much more dangerous and will only bring harm as he makes his travel across clover.." She said gently. I need to tell mother of this development and what I believe I just found. She thought to herself as she kept a soft concern expression on her face as she grabbed ahold of his sleeve, tightening her grip on it slightly focusing on her concern expressions looking up at him. "Promise me, when this trip is done for is that you will be careful of who you associate with. I need to know you will be careful David. I would hate to think what I will feel if anything was to happen to you as you my first real friend." She asked him being concern as he had a heart on his shoulder for accepting to help her and with what happened in arise grande. She knew David was on edge with her empty comments of knives. She had one but it wasn't what he expected as it was a secret between her and one other that gave it to her. She was a rogue and her line of work was no place for him to be part of. He would likely get killed and she either more injuried or punished for bring attention to herself. He was an innocent bystander that had some good traits, a good magic, a nice heart for helping her and her false quest to move along the kingdom to the capital where her target was just waiting for her.
[break][break]
She watched the sun go down as she looked at the debris infront of them. She reached into her bag bringing out her cloak as she wrapped it around her clothing like an apron, picking up even more pieces of debris as she walked towards the piles Dumping off her load, wiping her dirt and mess on the cloak. "There we go." She said with a smile returning to her sweet self as she folded the cloak up , placing another bag around it to not ruin her clothing in her knapsack. "I Do believe it is time for us to retire and continue on our trip." She said " We are so close to the capital." She added in excitement
