[attr="class","Enlilscroll"]It had been less than a day after he left home for his last task of the socialite helping season that he found himself as the prey to a deranged huntress that had her sights set squarely on him. It had started off amicably but it had quickly devolved in ways that no one would have ever expected. He noticed very quickly something was off and it was only clarified as she had assaulted him, she had some grand plan to take down her cousin and wanted him to be a pawn in it all. He didn't want anything to do with her or her unhinged family. The way she smirked as had started, her playful tones when he was running and she was hunting him, and how she mocked him while he was in pain made him believe she was a budding sadist. If she wasn't one already.
Eventually, it came to an end. He doubted the day had finished from his arrival in the quarry to where he was allowed to leave, the issue was he was still badly hurting thanks to Leonora and she had made it clear she would escort him home as she didn't want him getting hurt. He wanted to say some smartass comment about that being too late thanks to her but he was concerned that it would just start all over again until she had truly broken him so just thanked her for her kindness. Due to her destroying his broom, he began to walk home, in honesty, she didn't even know if he'd be able to ride a broom given his injuries. He didn't speak the entire time nor did he stop at any point even if he was tired, all that went through his mind was the sooner he was home the sooner he'd be away from his attacker.
He hadn't put his heirlooms back on, partly because he'd not be able to put them on correctly with his damaged arm, the other was specific rituals were done when adorning and unadorned them and he didn't have what he needed there. He was not looking forward to going home as he'd be in trouble for something that wasn't his fault. The bitch that had attacked him knew they held significance within his family but like her laughing stock of a cousin didn't care about anything but what she wanted, what she believed was hers. At this point he just wished the Vermilion family as a whole would be wiped out of existence, it would make everyone's life easier. He, of course, would never voice such sentiments, optics were a thing and though there might be doubts on the Vermilion he doubted without proof he'd be entirely believed.
After quite some time they made it to Babel, it was in the middle of the night so the streets were empty but there were guards patrolling the streets. Though not completely out of the woods he did feel safe enough to speak because he doubted she would try anything where he could gain aid quickly. "You don't need to escort me further Miss Vermilion, I can make my way home from here alone." he said still nursing his arm, even after a full day and a half if not longer's walk he was still feeling the agonizing pain. "I do hope our paths never cross again, but, I will not speak on the events." he hated that the quarry had, had those big gates at the front of it, sure people could have seen if they flew over but it seemed like she had taken the time to make sure her trap would go undisturbed. With those few words, he began to walk down the street.
Leonora had decided given the situation allowing him home was for the best for now. She knew he wasn't fully submissive yet in learning his place but there was a time and place for such things to be allowed for her. She was sure he was going to do his damnest to never come off the estate or interact with the whole world once again. However that wasn't her problem. Playing with her toys too much in one night can use them to break and she wasn't one who like completely broken toys. She adjusted her own broom, walking beside him. She wasn't at all tired, she was still pretty railed up, even if her calm relaxed demeanor did not show her tension. Tonight was a good one for sure. She looked up at the night sky in silent thought. She was different then who she was a magic knight. part of her hated the feeling rushing through her. She shouldn't be the way she truly was without the chains and restraints of the magic knights and their ways. Having this much freedom since the fete really changed her, much to her unknowing and still now she dealt with more hidden changes as she was set forth in her plans to take down taiyo, among other things.
[BReAK][BReAK] She turned her attention back towards him pushing her silent thoughts to the side " Oh, now that is not proper for a butterfly to flutter alone with such injuries.. No, I will ensure you are home safe and sound. "She said calmly as she moved closer in a quick whisper in his ear. " There is plenty of ways for our paths to cross, you can hate me to your dying breath but forever you are my caged butterfly till my plans are seen through, the sooner you accept that, the easier this situation will be." She spoke gently with a subtle threat of absolute hidden behind each word.
[BReAK][BReAK] She knew he didn't want his family to see her as he wanted to be as far from her as possible. No it would be rude not to continue the pursuit and reassurance of him in her plans. He was lucky she didn't kidnap him to her estate, there was even times she nearly got lost in how well it blended in. She folded her arms walking along side him as she shaked her head " I know you won't speak of this just as I know you wish me gone and this never happened." She said in low response for him just to hear. they were not in private, there were people and unwanted ears all around them. She was going to keep her mask on for the time being. "Plus it is rude for a noble such as yourself to suddenly get rid of your escort without some sort of reward for their effort in ensuring your safety." She spoke in soft mockery knowing how this looked to many.
[attr="class","Enlilimage"]❝Even a storm can be calm under the right circumstances.
[attr="class","Enlilscroll"]He turned to look at her as she spoke, he knew that she wouldn't make it easy for him to be free of her grasp. He could yell but what good would that do? No one but him had seen that darker side of her, it was true that the Vermilion were under a microscope thanks to Taiyo's actions but she had been cunning up until this point and played within the lines expected of a law-abiding citizen in public. He knew the truth of her personality, the one that she would keep hidden away from everyone even her brother. "I am in Babel, I will be perfectly safe even with my injuries you needn't worry." he would reply to her, it would be clear to her that he was trying to get away from her as quickly as possible "Besides, if I need aid I can call a guard." It was as simple as that for him.
His body instantly tensed up making him wince as she got close so she could whisper into her ear about how their paths would continue to cross and there were plenty of ways to make sure that would be the case. She continued to say that he could hate her until he perished but that he was hers until she deemed it otherwise. That the sooner he understood this fact the easier everything would be. He didn't believe it in the slightest, she was a sadistic psychopath in his mind and she hadn't done anything to prove otherwise. If anything it had done nothing more than solidify that the Vermilion were bad news that should have been avoided at all costs. She could hear the veiled subtle threat behind every word that she spoke, he couldn't help but shudder in fear due to it.
He honestly didn't want her to come to his family's estate it would make things more complicated as she could spin a narrative where she protected him from his would-be attackers thus making her seem like a hero in their eyes. He knew that she wouldn't give chasing him as she now viewed him as her property, something that really didn't sit well with him but if he spoke on it knew no one would believe him. On the journey back he was sure that she would try and divert him somewhere else or just kidnap him outright, to be honest, they were still close enough to the gate that the matter could still possibly happen and that was an unnerving thought. "You are right. I do want you gone. I do want to pretend as if this never happened." he wasn't going to lie to her although he was afraid of her.
"I didn't ask to be escorted, especially not from the same damned sadistic woman that injured me." his voice was hushed like hers, he didn't want to cause a scene but for far different reasons. "How can you abuse me for hours, burn my mode of transportation and still expect to be rewarded?" he would ask in complete and utter astonishment, he still couldn't believe she was being serious about this. He then gave a sigh knowing if he didn't give in on this occasion then she could cause issues due to feeling slighted which would be bad optics for his family causing him further punishment for making his family look like they didn't pay and/or reward impromptu hired help. This was never the case but public perception was a very real thing and if this was made the case it would make it harder to gain the help when he needed it. "Fine, but you get your reward then you leave and never bother me or my family again." she had him over a barrel in this case and they both knew it. With her agreement he would begin to walk home waiting for the storm that would be brewing,
Leonora watched him as she smirked. She is really enjoying the bite of her prey's bark. Even after their encounter, he still had the nerve and balls to speak to her like that. Who did he think he was. Maybe it was his stubborn straight forward logic she enjoyed. She moved closer to him, wrapping her arms securing around his left arm, pulling it close in her grasp, much like lover would when walking together. "Oh Enlil, you are just too good to let go that easily." She spoke softly for him as she took the lead, his arm was her captive. He wasn't about to cause a scene nor was he going to fight back. He was being cocky and a smart ass. He was comfortable and thought he was safe from her once in bable. He honestly had the courage to suddenly speak up against her. Who did he think he was? Maybe if their roles were switched then that was one thing. However, he wasn't strong enough to fight her, nor was he that type of guy. Real shame as he did have a pretty face that was for sure. Now he was like all those in his circle. Sitting and behaving but well taken care or precious porcelain dolls that will just sit on the shelf infront of their boxes, watching the scene fly by them from their shelves up high. She had decided one thing to herself, It was time to ensure the shelf of safety he thought he had was going to break. She was in control and it seemed their first lessons of the night don't stick as well as she assumed. At this point she was sure she could break every bone in his body and he would still refuse to fully submit. While murder was off the table. She was sure even if it was on the table that he would only submit enough to ensure she didn't go that route. No, the obvious threat of his circle and life wasn't the way to go.
[BReAK][BReAK]
She walked them down a side street just a street or two away from his estate. If he thought mouthing off in a public place highly guarded was going to keep him safe from her wraith, he was going to think again. She did attempt to play nice in earnest. She gave him the benefit of the doubt. He could have continued to play along, play the part to appease her just till she left. However that stubborn truthful mouth of his did hurt to hear he wanted nothing to do with her. At least that is what she would think if it matter when he wanted in their relationship. She laced their fingers together while she kept his arm close, ensuring the subtle hostage taking of his arm was enough prompt to allow her to lead him back towards the exit of the town. It would seem that there night together was not about to be over.
[BReAK][BReAK]
Whether he liked it or not, she lead him along knowing he couldn't fight her with one arm. He couldn't stop her unless he wanted to bring attention to himself. He was going to submit fully whether to not he wanted to. She been subtle about it with crossing every T and dotting every I, but it did seem she needed to reinforce more with a much more painful take to ensure he knew. His heirlooms were already back with him, but it wouldnt be that hard to get them off his person. No that was too easy and she already threatened their survival once tonight. "I did attempt to play nice. Truly I attempted to give you a benefit of the doubt that the quarry was going to be the only lesson you would need but obviously I was mistaken. If I was you, I would have remained quiet. I would have acted and kept my mouth shut till I left. However your bark came out with its hidden bite. It seems you would need to learn your place in an more aggressive manner." She said in a hush tone resting her head on his shoulder.
[attr="class","Enlilimage"]❝Even a storm can be calm under the right circumstances.
[attr="class","Enlilscroll"]They had passed the city gates and were now inside the city of Babel, he felt safe, there were guards and he was close to home so didn't believe she would do anything stupid. He gave her that much credit at least. He just needed to be quiet a little longer, pretending that he would go along with her insane plot, that he had been broken by her. The issue was that with some of the nonsense, she was spouting he just couldn't, had they not been within the confines of the city he likely would have remained quiet. Had she still had his heirlooms he certainly wouldn't have dared talk back to her after threatening to destroy them within the quarry. He was quite sure that he would be disowned if anything happened to them, then again, he had to wonder if that would have been the worst thing in the world.
If he was some commoner then he would be of no use to her, he also wouldn't have to deal with the constant pressure of keeping up appearances and caring what others thought of him, he wouldn't be used as a tool by his family either. On the flip side of that coin however he would have no security, wouldn't know how he would get shelter or his next meal, he also wouldn't have the ability to get a lot of the gemstones and metals he used for his craft. It honestly seemed as if he was screwed regardless of what he did, it wasn't an enviable position to be in that's for sure. "I am sure there are people superior to myself that would suit your plan better but then you are a limp lioness." he would say coldly, he honestly had enough of it all and wanted it to stop.
He brought up his right arm and bit into the fabric as she not only touched his injured arm but hugged onto it making him let out a muffled cry of pain. He braced himself for the pain that was to come and pulled his arm away from her making him let out a muffled scream into the cloth. To him, it almost felt like his arm was going to be ripped off when in honesty he almost dislocated his arm for a second time. She hadn't released his arm, in fact, he was being escorted towards the gates they had just not long entered. The pain took second place to panic as he knew if she managed to get him outside what happened inside the quarry would be nothing compared to what she now intended to do thanks to him standing up to her.
"Let me go!" he cried out, his voice filled with pain as he hurt himself thrashing trying to prevent her from taking him out of the city. Tears were once again running down his cheeks through pain and fear. He hadn't been overly loud but it had been loud enough to catch the attention of nearby guards. He could feel their mana coming closer through the ripples of the wind but pulled her and himself away from where they would have found them. It was true they could have been of aid but he believed she would have spun the story that she protected him from would-be attackers. This was the same story he was sure she was going to spin to his parents. He didn't want her talking to anyone so that she could make herself out to be the hero after the horrible things she had done to him.
Thanks to the force he had bitten into his clothing again as he screamed out muffling it the best he could as his shoulder once again dislocated. "I... I just want to go home" he sobbed, he didn't want to be hurt anymore. He wanted to be rid of her, he wasn't paying attention to her bullshit speech his mind couldn't focus on it. "Take me home..." he continued to whimper managing to get his arm free of her "I can make sure the reward you want is worthwhile." he didn't know if she'd believe him or not but he had to try something. "I... I'll talk my fa... father into giving up... yo... your la... late cousin Silas's weapon." she said to her hoping it would pique her interest enough that she'd actually agree "Th... they've been reforged re... recently... they... they're stronger... mo...more refined." he was pleading to the spirits for this to work but only time would tell.
Leonora smirked knowing whatever he did, his arm was still going to be very injuried regardless. He may not like this but punishment as due, heading home was a reward, not a priviledge. All she was saying was meant for his training. To see if all he said was just show or if he meant it. She was correct in her assumption. she knew he didn't care for a word of what she spoke. He was going to let his own logic over take his plan to play along.
[BReAK][BReAK] She didn't expect him to put up a struggle and injure himself more. What was his deal? She knew exactly what his deal was but this was all for her own plans. She moved along with his attempt to thrash and escape her grasp, pulling them from sight of the guards as she moved in unison. "Honestly Enlil, You silly silly boy. I already told you how this is going to go." She said directing his pull towards an side alley as she followed hearing his whimpers and bargaining "Oh? My late cousin's Blades huh? Why on earth would a family like yours hold such valuable treasured heirlooms let alone reforged them to be even better?" She asked curiously moving along side him as she took ahold of his shirt, wrapping her fingers up in it as she softly moved him to a wall " Listen I already told you the terms of this but it seems your not that good at listening Enlil. You are lucky I have allowed our time to be cut very short as I do have things I must see too as well as ensuring your loyalty. What did you think a few guards were going to do when dealing with a former magic knight? I thought they would do better at keeping people like me out of their precious safe cities" She whispered in a hush tone. " No, I will get what I want along with those blades. I will leave a trail of bodies in my awake if I must to see my plans through. I suggest you think very very long and hard about submitting already. You won't be getting rid of me anytime soon or I can make your existence a even worse one..."She stated as she was truly annoyed about his fighting. At this point she was sure that arm was going to be completely useless. She had attempted to help him stabilize it enough but instead of playing along and being good he once again disobeyed. Like as this point she was sure she could make half the kingdom submit before he ever would.
[BReAK][BReAK] She shaked her head " Now you want to go home. Are you going to behave and follow orders or do I need to rip your wings even more. Cause I could go either way." She spoke in her hushed tone. It was getting risky at this point, dealing with this in the city. She could knock him out, carry him home and spin some heroic story. That would be fun, but he might not go along and cause more annoyance for future plans. She couldn't keep him in her hideout. He was too much of a liability and too well know to suddenly disappear without questions and magic knights being sent out to find him. Hell she was sure the magic knights within his own circle would hunt him down. That was too annoying, his resistance was annoying. She lifted a free hand to feel her forehead shaking her head slowly " Just breath...Its fine." She spoke to herself attempting to keep her anger under control. She had a place she needed to be whether she wanted to be or not. She had a limited window for this plan amongst others.
[attr="class","Enlilimage"]❝Even a storm can be calm under the right circumstances.
[attr="class","Enlilscroll"]He knew at this point his left arm was essentially useless due to what had been done to it, even when it eventually got healed it would likely still have phantom pains for a while and still not work as intended. It would make his craft near if not fully impossible until the phantom pain was gone and his harm started working properly. He was surprised that she didn't let go, that she moved with him down another ally. He didn't like the fact that he called her 'boy' when he was calling out his actions. He was a fully grown man and had been for the last few years. He remained completely quiet on the matter, he didn't want to cause any additional pain to himself or give her a reason to attack him more. "Please... let go of my arm. I... I shouldn't touch anyone in such a way other than my betrothed." he informed her with a slight stutter
He heard the question and knew it was a valid one "The blade was found broken in the forsaken region by one of our servants doing an errand, they didn't know who the owner was and brought it back believing that it may have some significant importance to history or that the owner would want the shards back." he said honestly. "I recognised the blade because I saw the statue of Silas in the hall of heroes before that was removed due to things coming to light..." he closed his eyes for a moment "Lydia Ravencrest was its current owner but it seems as if she's vanished into the ether and so my family got in touch with Hania as the Ravencrest would be the legal owners of the blade. He gave permission for the sword to be reforged." his voice was honest on the matter.
"We were allowed to keep the blade as he didn't want the stigma attached to his family. It is understandable as it's unknown if this blade killed any Clover civilians for being quote-unquote Diamond sympathizers" It still made him uneasy to the point of shuddering to say such a sentence, to think that such a highly decorated man had done such vile and heinous things to his own countrymen. He had heard the 'It was sanctioned by the wizard king and crown' and the 'It was a time of war' spiel but it made no difference to the sensibilities of most people. Murder was still a crime. Killing innocent unarmed civilians was still a crime. It didn't matter if they felt sympathy and empathy for the enemy, nor would it matter if they were aiding those who were just as innocent as them during the entire thing.
The war had nothing to do with civilians or the soldiers, it was entirely politics of those in power wanting more even if they had enough and everyone else just getting caught up in it. "We were planning on returning them to the Vermilion, my parents thought that Taiyo may be the best fit as he was growing each and every day but with what happened they are just holding onto it." His family didn't want the blades either to be honest but it wasn't like they were just gonna throw them out or hand them to someone random. It was then things took a turn for the worse and he was gently manoeuvred to the wall and pinned being forced to listen as she spoke. He breathed in through his teeth as he winced, even soft pressures and bumps felt a hell of a lot worse on his left shoulder.
He listened to her every word "No... you didn't cut it short." he said coldly "You only let me out of that forsaken quarry because I played along with your demands! Then instead of letting me go home on my own which I would have managed, you kept me on what you believed to be a tight leash." he was in pain, tired and irritated with her and frustrated by the entire situation. "I hate everything about you. You aren't like your cousin Taiyo... you're worse... far worse" he usually had a filter but he was in too much pain to keep it in check. "And they've let you in because they still believe you are an upstanding member of society not the unhinged sadistic bitch you really are." his voice was low but it was clear to see he was more than a little upset about this.
"Take me home, get your unwarranted gift of gratitude then go away." he said pushing himself up off the wall with enough force that it would have likely made her stumble. He seemed steadfast in his conviction, he did have the qualities of a magic knight even if it didn't look like it. He was in pain, he was scared but he refused to truly submit to her and he knew that his stubbornness would eventually end up with her moving on to an easier target or him ending up dead. It honestly didn't matter to him because either way he would be done with her. With a pain-filled sigh he cradled his dislocated arm holding back tears as he did so and walked towards his family estate he didn't care if she followed or not he just wanted to get healed and be within the safety of his bedroom once more.
"Oh your betrothed Hm? Isn't that adorable. Got to keep up looks for the family. Good for you big man, I suppose. What would she think seeing you like this? I just might stick around, will be a fun game to guess who they are. Might be fun to get to know them as well." She teased. She thought the whole betrothed idea was such a stupid one. she heard good stories of prosperity, but she had heard horror stories of such things where a couple might look fine but the cracks could be seen behind curtains and such harsh chains can be heard amongst cries and yells and breaking of things. She had already set her destiny to her parents. She wasn't going to be promised to anyone who couldn't make her submit. She knew who she wanted in a relationship and was going to keep to it regardless of what they wanted. If they wanted to promise her to someone, they were going to have to fight her for it, but then again it could be seen how that turned out.
[BReAK][BReAK] She listened to his explanation as it did make sense. She never paid any mind to her family or the comings and goings, nor was such weapons ever a thing for the woman. She had an arsenal of weapons within her grimoire, more fit for her style, to be up close and personal interactions in battle. However, they were heirlooms neither the less. yes he was a war criminal and shamed their family even more with the recent gossip of his deeds coming to light. She wasn't all too surprise of his filter letting up. He was tired of playing the part of her toy for the night it seemed. She could feel a tingle of excitement rise in her listening to his words. Oh it seemed he still had a lot of bark within that bite of his. She was going to enjoy herself even more allowing her grip against him get pushed in a surprise burst of energy, getting a slight stumble back.
[BReAK][BReAK] She didn't need to respond, he wasn't about to get her gone just because he offered her some blades, which she could just sell for a pretty penny on the black-market if she felt the want. Then again using them for another thing entirely was on the table as well. She debated an option in her head. She could risk pushing him further, which could cause a lot more attention or the use of magic to alert the guards. however, he was far too injuried to do so. He wanted to be home and thought heading home was going to end this nightmare, what he didn't know, this nightmare was far from over for him, she was going to ensure to edge that fear into his soul and ensure the next chance they get alone, he was going to suffer.
[BReAK][BReAK]
She composed herself as she followed along side him, but slightly behind him , she adjusted her cloak and hair looking more presentable as she felt her satchel behind her. She knew the next part of this plan all thanks to him and his determination to go home and the pathetic reward for the hard worked out scheme.
[attr="class","Enlilimage"]❝Even a storm can be calm under the right circumstances.
[attr="class","Enlilscroll"]He looked at Leonora as if she had lost her mind with the way she was speaking "I would ask if you are alright but I already know you're a few coals short of being able to make a fire." he said sighing "To my knowledge, I am currently not betrothed although my sisters keep making jokes that I'm betrothed to Amaya Ravencrest because we were born on the same day within mere seconds of each other." He truly hated his sisters and their idiotic jokes, to both him and her it was a disgusting thought. He didn't even want to think what that would do for their circle's dynamic or potential fall out if their relationship didn't work out. No, it wasn't something either of them wanted and they would fight tooth and nail to get it annulled on both ends. He did smile with a small blush on his cheeks for a few fleeting seconds.
"Marriage is nothing more than a business transaction.." he began continuing to walk "It doesn't matter how I or my future bride feel about it, it would be what our parents decided was best for our families as would have been the case for our own parents." He spoke as if he had fully accepted this part of his life. "The eldest daughter of the Honoka is beautiful and her family aligns well with what my own family does; if I had any say over who I would wish to court it would be her." This was a true thought of his, he just sighed and shook his head showing he knew he shouldn't be thinking about such things, especially around someone as psychotic as her. "perhaps a betrothal would have calmed you and prevented such an imbalance in your life." he said calmly.
She liked to make it seem like he and others like him were spoiled, however, she was truly the one who had been spoiled as her parents had never really told her 'no' and let her get her own way because they couldn't be bothered to discipline her. "Then again, I understand why you feel entitled..." he said stopping to look at her "You. Are. Spoiled." he took a brief pause between each word to emphasise what he was saying "And before you try and say "no I'm not" yes you very much are, you're delusional to believe otherwise. I mean, I want nothing to do with you, yet, you feel as if I am below you, that you have the right to hurt me until I say yes and do as I'm told. Only a self-serving, entitled and spoiled princess would believe such a thing. Tell me something, are you a Silva that dyed their hair red?" he asked her deadpan.
For the rest of the walk home, he remained entirely silent, he took the back roads not wanting to be seen by anyone without his heirlooms on, he didn't even want to imagine the shame and embarrassment that may bring to his family. This brought them passed a few buildings that seemed to be getting completely refurnished. There were signs showing it was being delayed due to sickness in the workforce and would continue at the beginning of the following month, still, it meant there would be two and a half weeks before this part of Babel would see any sort of foot traffic. If uninterrupted then he would continue to his family estate and stop at the gate sighing a little, he was hesitant to enter but knew that he needed to and would do so without a word.
She walked with him listening to his reasons as they might hit the nail on the head but then again maybe to one who wasn't attempting to de-wing a butterfly. She cycle the thoughts in her head for future reference as she watched his body language seeing he didn't like the inside jokes of his sisters tormenting him of being betrothed with Amaya Ravencrest. She would have found that soo off putting. If he was betrothed to Amaya then why the hell did he let Amaya chase her cousin and drag him around on a short leash. It wasn't something she thought to be true as Enlil seemed the type to ensure optics remained intact. So that had to be a lie for sure or if information got out, it would be bad for both.
[BReAK][BReAK] She noticed the change of his body language when he spoke of the eldest Honoka daughter. She seen the girl from time to time around clover. She is a pretty face along with the stunning family feature of the bright gemstone colored eyes. She seen how the girl caught the attention of the room cause you can tell she had family heritage in clover but her heart and homeland was not in clover. Everything else about her was of the Honoka Family of the far east. He did have a good eye for prospect as any guy would kill for one who her purely on her looks if not for her family and personality. The girl was never one Leonora would want to be around but that was neither here nor there but it was good information and a prospect of a future meeting with the girl for Enlil.
[BReAK][BReAK] She could feel her eye twitch in annoyance. He dared to say she was spoiled and then to add salt to the wound he dare utter the question if she was a silver who dyed their hair red. How dare he. She looked around finding them in the back streets. She saw some of the buildings were being refurbished and some construction happening, though it has been a bit due to sickness and labor issues that have halted the construction. This was her chance. She continued her walk with him "I did try playing nice...I gave you plenty of opportunity to do your worse...Now it is my turn."She said grabbing ahold of the back of his garment pulling him into a empty building tossing him inside as she followed.
[BReAK][BReAK] "If you were wanting to go home...we will be delayed as it seemed you don't understand where you will forever belong...You will be safe nowhere from me."She spoke " Not in your bedroom, Not in your home, Not in your circle, Not even in your head. You allowed your bark to hide your bite, But you failed to rip out the throat." She said knowing they wouldn't be disturbed. She only had a slight window to ensure he learned. She might have let him slip once, she was going to ensure he knew his place and where he belong along with where his bite belonged with that bark. Part of her was attempting to keep playing nice but the other half was not having it. It decided to take off the kiddy gloves as she continued her walk towards him.

[attr="class","Enlilscroll"]He knew he was pushing her buttons but everything was logical and from things that he had observed in their few times of interacting, the problem was she didn't really want him to be logical as she said she did. If she did, then there's no way she would have hurt him to the extent that she had inside the quarry and still continued to do so. No, there was another reason she seemed so infatuated with him and where he didn't care he needed to know it so she would just leave him alone. It couldn't be to have him as a pawn, there were easier people to break, nor could it be for him to become her plaything or slave for the same reason. Even to get information seemed like less than a half-truth as she could be able to get that information easier by manipulating another or even going to the black market.
He continued walking, there was no reason he shouldn't after all, there were guards and he was very close to home, it would seem that Leonora, on the other hand, had other plans as she grabbed the back of his clothing suddenly as she spoke. He bit down on his bottom lip almost breaking the skin not to cry out in pain as the sudden movement had affected his dislocated arm, not that he was sure anyone would be in this area of the city at this late hour. He tried pulling away from her as he was pulled towards a nearby building and thrown inside with little regard, he had stumbled over his footing for a few steps but managed to stabilise himself albeit twisting his ankle making him sit down to keep pressure off it. He really wasn't having the best of times currently.
"What in the god's name's is wrong with you?" he would finally ask looking up at her, he was hurt, tired, hungry and overall irritated about this entire situation. "This is yet another show of just how spoiled and entitled you are, sure, it isn't as conventional as most nobles but it's still there." he said his face showing he had had enough of this. "If you are going to hurt me do it, I honestly don't care at this point... get it all out then leave me alone." Now they were behind closed doors, unless someone walked in and witnessed it themselves there was nothing that could pass his lips. "Hell, if it gets me away from you quicker I'll do it myself." he didn't move, even with her moving towards him. He just wanted to get this over and done with so he could go home, be punished for breaking tradition and get healed.
Leonora was getting more annoyed just as him...he was pressing all the right buttons but the unhinged side of her just wasn't having it. She just needed him to submit. calm down the inner rage just enough to get back on track but no. He was making it even more difficult. He kept jabbing at what she already knew and what she didn't care about. Being called a Silva was an insult to the highest degree. How dare he ever think she would accept that taunt and let him get away with it.
[BReAK][BReAK] He better be lucky she needed him alive for whatever reason she had sitting in her head. he was right, she could choose anyone else and they would break much easier. but no her stubbornness just had to sink its talons into Enlil and keep him close. Why was anyone's guess.
[BReAK][BReAK] "Oh look at that your right where you belong....on the ground Enlil. You still don't get it do you...We are in Babel, the town YOU call home. A place you feel safe enough to talk back. Your not safe from me anywhere...This isn't going to stop any time soon. I won't be accepting just the sword of such a criminal " she replied "No there isn't much your going to offer to make this stop. You will learn to listen as we aren't going to part ways for quiet awhile. " She spoke raising a foot resting it against his shoulder before pushing down quickly putting some of her weight on just that foot folding her hands behind her back, remaining stable in her footing as she looked down at him " Now what is it your going to call me?" she asked deciding to go easy once again while building up. he already showed he was tired and going to bare it so she might as well take the opportunities for the time beings.
[attr="class","Enlilimage"]❝Even a storm can be calm under the right circumstances.
[attr="class","Enlilscroll"]For now, he ignored her checking over his ankle attempting to assess how bad the damage was, the issue was he wasn't a medic nor had he been trained in first aid. He guessed it was something he would have to look into sooner rather than later. He had no idea why she was even bothering with him, he had already proven he wasn't like an average member of his circle. In fact, he was proving he was as stubborn as an ox regardless of if it hurt him. "I'm sitting on the ground of my choice not because I am submitting." he said with an irritated voice not even looking at her. "When you threw me into this building I moved oddly and it hurt my ankle, this is the best way to assess the damage." he was less than happy about the whole situation that much was clear.
He looked up as she continued speaking "Congratulations, you know geography... that makes you somewhat more intelligent than that mockery you call a cousin." he was in pain, tired and irritated "And you are correct I do call this place home..." he said glaring at her, he had enough of her bullshit, he was sick of her attempting to pull the strings to intimidate him "And I am safe here regardless of what you think." He said looking back at his ankle and wincing as it started to throb painfully. 'Why is this psycho obsessed with me? Why is that entire delusional family seemingly obsessed with people in my damned circle?' he thought to himself. He already knew that she wanted to take out Taiyo and he honestly didn't care but he didn't see what it had to do with him, he really didn't want anything to do with it regardless.
"And that sword is all the help I am willing to offer." he said his voice becoming increasingly irritable by the second, just as he finished speaking she had raised her foot and placed it on his dislocated shoulder pushing him back onto the ground. Keeping the foot on the shoulder as he hit the ground she placed some weight on it making him scream out in pain. He didn't have enough time to put the fabric of his other sleeve into his mouth to dampen the noise. "GET YOUR DAMN FOOT OFF MY INJURED SHOULDER YOU DAMNED PSYCHOTIC BITCH!" he screamed out his voice filled with pain, his mana starting to flare around him. It would be clear that he was through trying to be subtle and honestly didn't care if someone saw him in his current condition, he was a victim of a crime and so his family would be more lenient on his slight if not forgive it entirely. The red-headed woman's window was growing slimmer by the second.
Leonora had watched him sit on the ground checking over his ankle. She could tell from her angle he had rolled or sprang his ankle. He hadn't broke it per say but it was still pretty damaged. She sighed hearing him once again take a blow at her cousin. Was that all he knew? She hated taiyo as much as the next person that been affected. She was sure Amaya or hania had a lecture of how childish he was. All it was doing was reminding her of the source of her inbalance.
[BReAK][BReAK] She narrowed her eyes listening to him speak of being safe in here reguardless of what she thought of it. He still had alot of bark. Here she was giving him chance after chance to come along and be willing but it seemed reguardless of attempting any good nature towards him it was swung back in her face. He still believed that she was just going to let that blade of silas be the only thing she wanted from him in exchange to never see her again. No he didn't see the bigger picture or the true reason. Then again if he did with all that has happened. What would he do? Be willing to help? no he wouldn't. Would he send the magic knights her way? most likely. She could handle most fine and was sure he wasn't going to bring attention. It wasn't him that worried her, it was the damn circle he was around. Some were preseptive to getting information out through emotion and their natural care for eachother. She has seen some of those in his circle around clover, they had a natural air about them that drew people in, a lure to those wanting to be within the circle's graces by any means necessary. She couldnt fault anyone not in that circle some of them hail from very powerful families that run clover, to be in that circle meant to having a possible future hand in running clover in various ways rather in the political sphere, or the magic knights or even within social standings. She seen how their families work from a distance. She seen how strict and how they had to look, to breath, to act in the public eye. She has heard the admitres within the crowd of eyes, she has also heard the disgust within the shadows, yet nothing could bring that circle to its knees. They were protected by the families they come from but they also protect and guide eachother.
[BReAK][BReAK] "Damn Psychotic bitch...What a colorful language you have. Seems you finally lifted that muzzle you kept so tight.."She spoke flaring up her own mana over his as she lifted her foot off his shoulder before wrapping her hand in his shirt in an attempt to lift him off the ground. "I would love more time with you how about we take our play date somewhere else where you can really let loose...You won't have to worry of any interferance, We can let loose and maybe then you will learn your place."She said in a taunting manner "Or I could let you go for now and have our playdate another time...How you handle your next movements will decided our paths."She spoke knowing her choices and the fact her window was narrowing.
[attr="class","Enlilimage"]❝Even a storm can be calm under the right circumstances.
[attr="class","Enlilscroll"]He was relieved as she lifted her foot off his shoulder, ordinarily, he would never speak in an unflattering way. He was a socialite and there were certain things that were expected especially of one from his circle. "I call it as I see it." he said through clenched teeth. He was tired, hungry and in immense pain. He just wanted to go home, get his lecture, his punishment and sleep. At this point, he'd do pretty much anything to get away from her. "I'm tired, hungry and in pain... I'm sorry I'm not holding my tongue for you princess." he almost growled, he knew that he would have had a hard time going against her when he wasn't injured so understood that right now she would have absolutely no chance against her.
What made it worse was that even if the guards did get here in time he believed she would spin a story to make herself look like a hero. That she saw him being dragged in there and chased off his would-be attackers, such a thought made him annoyed but there wouldn't be anything he could do about it. To be honest, if it got him out of this situation he would play along. He swatted her hand away as she attempted to grab the front of his top "Stop trying to touch me!" he was sick and tired of being pulled around like her ragdoll and it was clear as day on his face even in the dim moonlight that was coming through the windows. "As... enticing as that invite sounds I will need to refuse it, I have more important things that need my immediate attention... like watching grass on my estate grow or the paint on a random wall dry." he said starting to stand slowly.
Many socialite circles had scandals, some had even dissolved completely because they couldn't recover face. Optics were very important in their way of life. Luckily those in their circle were kept on a tighter leash than most common house pets and they made sure to look after one another so that even if there were issues it was dealt with quickly and quietly. It was easy to hear that the guards were just outside, he had continued pulsing his mana the entire time like a beacon to show that there was someone in need of aid. "Besides, our time together seems to be nearing its end now." he said limping to the door "Fly away and save yourself or you could stay and be caged... your decision. I'll make sure your 'reward' is sent to the Vermin... I mean Vermilion estate." he said leaving the building allowing himself to be escorted home by the city guards.
