Lex Had been summoned to the theater to help out a distressed director. She didn't have all the information for some reason. But she did know once that she was somewhere to do. Whatever she can to relieve his worries. So that's what she said. She went to the theater to find him pacing. He was a short odd short man that for all the world looked like a stero typical director. She saw people looking at him and they started to crowd around him a little. He was in his own little world though. Lex gave a small sigh as smiled walking over.
Excuees me darling, you seem worried…is there some kind trouble your having?"
She asked but the man shot daggers at her Upstairs, that would pierce right through her. He with out a word would start looking her up and down looking over her features. This was nothing new to her. Men loomed over her body quite often. Though he was doing it like he was It's going to paint a portrait of her rather then the gawking way. She looked down at the man who just gave an ear to ear girn to her which she could already sense was trouble, she just didn't expect the kind or trouble that was heading her way exactly.
" Yes you will be perfect to play the part of Ruilet in my upcoming master piece, now hurry up to wardrobe and get ready."
Lex…. Stood there in disbelief for a woman. She had thought there was some trouble at the theater and that's what had him worried, but it turns out one of his actresses just didn't show up for the main part. While she was familiar with the contents of the play having seen it before she was no actress. If she wanted to be an actress, she could easily do it with her looks. However she went to raise an objection but before she could even say anything two people whisked her away to fitting for a costume. Whether she wanted to do this or not, she was in a nap and would just go along with it for the moment. The true purpose of his job finally came to light. It turns out the main actress to play the part was missing or somthing like that and now she had to fill in the role. She never was really good at acting in this sort of manner, she could do Deception, but theatrical acting wasn't her thing.
It all happened so fast as a took her measurements took off. Most of her clothing and replaced it with a costume, she was amazed at their efficiency. They wasted absolutely no time while someone in there also rushed by giving her a script. She only had but moments to memorize her wines and there are quite a few of them. This would be one area she could excellent. After all, she was rather academic and memorizing information was child's play for her. Now reciting this with the emotional requirement of a scene that would be hard for her. She wasn't exactly the most emotional person on the planet. Sure she knew how to be nice and happy and angry frustrated. It's not as if she didn't know how to use emotion. She just wasn't good at hemming it up like the play would require. Being dramatic as it was. So time went by as quick as it came, and it was time for her to go out and do the show. With the script memorized and her best foot forward. She looked at herself in a mirror just up like a maiden, It was almost funny looking to her, but she was ready as she went out and got ready on the stage.
Jomeo~ Jomeo~ where art my darling Jomeo~"
She spoke from her perch as the play was going through its motions. She felt like she hemmed up that line a little too much, and it was on the verge of not being believed. But it was definitely possible. People didn't immediately boo her off stage. And we're reacting to the play as normal people would. Which was good? The only good thing out of this for her really was the attention she was getting, she did love attention. Though she would hope no one would remember this dreadful performance. She was giving hopefully she would do more good deeds. Then this to really make people forget about this. Lord knows if she ever made it higher in advance that someone wouldn't remember this always seemed to happen.
Aint after who was playing her counterpart wasn't a bad actor though. He certainly wasn't the best actor she's ever seen of this portrayal. Though he at least remembered all of his lines, which was a plus for her, it was less for her to have to worry about. She would probably end up dying on stage if she had improv that he didn't know. For the most part, she was going exactly by the script, What's some minor variations here and there her own mannerisms tending to slip in. But what could be expected? She was no actress after all, and for a last minute performance, she thought she was doing pretty well.
The last act of the play concluded, and all the actresses and actors, including herself, went on in the middle and bowed as people stood up and clapped. A possible show still to say at least. No one was throwing roses, but she didn't expect that her own mediocre performance proving that. She took a bow and gave a smile on a wave and went off stage where the director met with her. He had a big smile on his face as he clapped as she approached.
A wonderful performance you did truly wonderfully, You know if you want to stop this magic night business and perform full time I could fit you in"
This gave her a moment a pause not because She was considering the man's offer because it it sounded dreadful and she would rather Do anything else but that. But despite that She gave them a smile and a small bow. She already almost regretted this job, she didn't like the fact she was already a bit upset that she didn't really have a choice in this matter. She was just whisked away without a word. A Nonle woman being treated in such a manner. However she had to be honest with herself, she was going to do this job anyway. She just disliked not having a choice. However she put all that aside and took a deep internal breath and gave the director a very polite smile.
"Thank you darling, Should I ever finish my job in the magic nights? I will certainly come back and consider your offer, But for now, I have too much to do I wish you the best luck with your place going forward."
She said in the most polite way she could, but also in a way that wouldn't given it out in the conversation quickly heading to the dressing room to gather her things. This certainly wasn't the most fabulous jobs. She's ever been on and one that she would hope she'd never have to repeat. Acting to get some information that was one thing for her, but the say she had stayed straight internally. Well, that was a whole another thing. She was just go ahead it was over and done with.
