[break] Happy Yuletime everyone. At this festive time, we realize that adults have last-minute preparations they must tend to or just want a little time to destress which can be quite the task if a person has one or more excitable children at home. As many of you know my family estate has become an orphanage for those who have lost so much for one reason or another. I say this to show I can understand children at this time have a lot more energy than normal and so I reached out to the captains of the Coral Peacocks and the Azure Deer so that we bring our specialities together to make this special time of year a little more magical and fun. Other squads are doing balls, feasts, snowball fights and the like but some people will find none of this interests them and so we wanted to be more playful in what we are doing. [break][break] We have a booth where you can design your own teddy, create your own magical Christmas cookies and cocoa for Santa, create a thoughtful present for a person you care dearly for, create your own dessert or hot drink, help with magical hide and seek amongst a host of other things. Even if this doesn't fit you, many children are looking for a big brother or sister during these festivities and you may just find a hidden joy in spending time with them. Regardless of what you decide to do when you spend time here with us, we hope you have fun. The pep in Axterian’s step had actually turned into a sort of skip hop as he entered the children’s area. All around him the sights and sounds of music and children’s laughter, laced with the smells of baking cookies, cocoa and more were like pure mana to the young mage, energizing him more than he thought possible. The music permeating the air, that seemed to have no point of origin but instead came from everywhere, seeped into his spirit and escaped through his lips in a bright whistle. Here a there he mad a flourishing bow to the other Knights, winks at the children and even danced with a group of toddlers who found his energy infectious.
After a few turns with the younger children Axterian excused himself as the toddlers continued their dancing and laughing and made his way over to a booth with floating animal parts hovering above children. Another Knight was behind the booth, stitching the animals together with her magic at her patrons’ requests. A mischievous grin spread across his face as he quickly stepped through the crowd and snatched a few parts from the air, winking at the Knight. Axterian choose the parts at random, and held them at arms-length, to present the creation to the now confused children.
“Children of Clover!” he proclaimed, “I present to thee, Merry, Spirit of Yule!”
The animal he had created had the body and head of a bear, a rabbits floppy ears, wings of a butterfly and a duck’s bill. Axterian thought it was adorable, but he could tell from the looks on most of the children that it would take some convincing.
“Are you not impressed?” he asked.
“You put it together wrong!” one little girl said, her tone exasperated as if she was used to explaining to adults things that everyone should know.
“How so” Axterian responded, smiling expectantly.
“Because you used all different parts…” another little boy answered, sounding somewhat unsure.
“But that is exactly what the Spirit of Yule should look like, don’t you think?” Axterian asked the young crowd.
“What do you mean?” the girl who first spoke up asked. She was clearly someone who liked to know things, it made her feel as grown up as she acted.
“What is your favorite part of Yule, any of you?” the young mage asked the crowd again.
“Present!” “Cookies!” “Snow!” “No lessons!” and more answers rang out.
“Exactly little snowflakes! Yule is everything, and even more. So the spirit of Yule looks just like this or…” Axterian tossed the first creation in the air as the Knight caught it with her magic and he pulled more floating stuffed animal pieces from the air this time making a cat with a horses mane, a dragon’s tail, and a kirin’s horn “…like this!”
Axterian turned about to make sure that all the children saw, and was greeted with smiles and looks of wonder “Yule is whatever you make it, it has a magic all its own that no sadness can overcome. So smile and laugh, and whatever you can imagine, that’s the Spirit of Yule!”
Unexpectedly the children cheered, as the first girl who doubted the validity of Merry snatched it from the air, and the timid little boy, eyeing the second creation Axterian made, gasped when Axterian placed him on his head “Take care of him for me” he tasked the boy who bobbed his thanks before taking off running to find his parents.
The remaining children pressed towards the booth, yelling demands for creations directly from their hearts and imaginations, horses with lion paws, lizards with eagle wings, and so much more. Axterian laughed as each child thought of more unusual pairings for their own Merry animal. The smile slipped slightly when he saw the peculiar look on the Magic Knight’s face, and realized he had probably made her task a bit more difficult. He was going to apologize until she began to laugh as heartedly as the children and waved him off.
“I’ve got this underhand, you go spread that special magic to some of the other children!” she told him.
He bowed to her, smiling brightly, and turned to go find another group of children but heard her say in a soft tone
“…Spirit of Yule indeed. I’m going to have to make something for my own brats or I’ll never hear the end of it.”

Freyr moved to the childern activities of Kiten, a festivity held by three different squads, the coral peacocks, the azure deer and the blue rose. Childern were the life blood of anyone's future as without kids, new generations would not be made without kids. yuletide is meant to be a time of family and being together. However, sometimes the future separated families forever and sometimes it is the childern that are left.
Freyr adjusted his cloak as he climbed out of his carriage. While he wasn't one for kids. He had siblings of his own and knew the holidays meant something to him so he felt it should be the same to the childern here.
Moving into the orphanage, he took off his cloak folding it over his arm as an attendant moved over to him
"Good day Lord Alrekr and merry yuletide. Are you here to spend some time with the childern today?" Asked the woman
"Merry yuletide to you as well and yes, I am here to give the seasonal cheer and feel."He replied scanning the scenary, hearing the various childern and adults go about their activities and talk as he made note of one notable male "Well it is good to see a wilhelm here"he said to himself with a chuckle as he sat down in a chair near the cookie making station seeing some childern work excitiedly on the cookies infront of them, one even showing him his hard work.
"That is amazing, the truest work on an artist."he complimented gathering a small group of childern around himself as he slowly worked on a multicolored frosted snowflake.
As more families, and more importantly more children, continued to make their way to the festivities, Axterian continued to make his rounds. The spirit of the season had completely taken over him, and his face was painted with a permanent smile, his amber eyes almost glowing like lamplight with joy. Ever since he was the size and age of the children bounding about he had enjoyed the season and holiday. This particular festivity meant even more to him, because it was his first acting in an official capacity as a Magic Knight. That this first “mission” was focused on raising the spirits of the citizens of the Kingdom only made it all the more enjoyable, and honorable to the young mage.
In the corner of his eye Axterian spotted a flash of bright pale hair and felt a moment of anticipation and dread. He thought it was a member of the Silva family, and immediately his mood changed. The Silva’s and Wilhelm’s were not on the best of terms, even at the most peaceful of times. Axterian did not know everything about why his family and theirs were so often on the opposite side of almost everything, but they were. And Axterian was loyal to his family to a fault, as were most Silvas, so he was fully prepared to have an interaction dripping with veiled condescension and idle threats. Axterian was no scion of the house, still the honor and integrity of House Wilhem rested on his, and every member, shoulders when they were in the public eye.
As he drew closer the growing ire dissipated as he was able to see the hair was much more white than it was Silva silver, and the face he did not recognize. Not that he knew every noble of every House, but he definitely could recognize the Silvas, his family had made sure of it. He was glad that he would not have to banty about false niceties and potentially ruing the energy of the festivities. It was much more fun to simply enjoy the children and let the spirit of Yule take over, than to worry about House politics.
When he was close enough to the other noble, he smiled, taking in the site.
“Well! These cookies look almost too good to eat, and I can’t decided if that is a shame or a good thing” he said jokingly to the crowd of children.

Freyr continued his work helping the childern with their colors and placings on the cookies. Art was a beautiful and unique just like all things.
"The best thing to remember kids, no two creations will ever be the same." He spoke gently creating two of the same cookies "nothing can be made the same twice other then magical means. "He said before noticing movement out of the corner of his eyes soon seeing it was the Wilhelm from earlier.
He listened before chuckling lightly before slowly standing up cleaning off crumbs on his top "Oh if it is not eaten, my poor heart, It just might break more then these cookies. Their joy and happiness of my creations will never be fulfilled unless consumed." he spoke over dramatizing his creations getting a laughter from the childern of his acting skills of being hurt at the thought of his cookies never being eaten.
He directed the childern to see if they can best his creations as he turned towards the Wilhelm "It would really be a shame for my creations not to be eaten." He spoke "After all, this is the generation we will be leaving our world to when our time comes." He spoke in lost thought before getting his mind on track as a soft smile formed on his face as his hand extended out to the azure deer. "Alrekr, Lord Freyr Alrekr Is the name. Wilhelm correct?" He asked as his green eyes stared straight through him glistening in the warmly lit room.
Axterian smiled as his gaze slipped from the children and their cookies to the man, Freyr as he introduced himself. Quickly the young mage filed away the name Alrekr in the back of his mind. It rang a bell but he was not very familiar with the name. His family was known for its dealings with most of all the trade and merchants in the realm, and Axterian was sure that Freyr’s own house had made their name and rise through their own mercantile dealings.
“Axterian Wilhlem to be exact” the Azure Deer Junior Knight said in confirmation, nodding his head and tipping his hat in acknowledgement and greeting. Axterian’s amber eyes seemed to glow as he took a deeper look at Freyr. He could clearly see the man’s hair was completely different from the silver glint of the Silva’s, but he had to imagine that more than a few people might mistake him for a member of that House, especially as he was also a member of the Silver Eagles. Axterian’s eyes dimmed slightly, the thought darting across his mind that perhaps the Alrekr’s were aligned with the Silva’s. It was only a fleeting thought, but Axterian filed that away as well. He sincerely hoped that this meeting would not turn into a war of words.
He turned his attention back to the children and their cookies, his eyes lighting up again. “I think the children share your sentiments, the cookies were meant to be enjoyed with more than the eyes” he said, laughter coloring his tone as he took in the crumb and icing smeared faces.

Freyr watched the young man silently, keeping a relaxed pasture and thoughtful smile with a gleam in his jade eyes, taking in his various features, making mental notes for his own memories for if he was to run into the lad once again. He folded her left arm under his right as he lifted his right hand under his chin in thought closing his eyes, allowing his head to tilt back and forth in thought, trying to see if anything within his memory would ring any sort of bell, He was drawing a blank.
" Axterian Wilhelm? Hm. The name sounds familiar but I can't quite put my finger on who in the Wilhelm you are related from.." He spoke in earnest/ He knew of the Wilhelm's but never really took to knowing the lineage. Some families can be massive with blood relatives of legitimate connections like his own or the Honoka, but others can have many known bastards much like the Silva.
He opened his eyes allowing his gaze to move towards the frosting cover faces letting out a light chuckle "I remember always enjoying my own mother's cookies, she always had such a way to making them so pretty, often I felt ashamed to eating her creations but she always said that it always warmed her heart and made her keep wanting to bake and make her beautiful creations to just see the smile and mess on my face." He said "Still to this day, she still gets me to eating her creations." he added "even if sweets is not my biggest liking" he commented.
His jade eyes moved back to his fellow magic knight as he folded his arms over one another resting most of his weight on his left hip as he leaned " So tell me Axterian, what plans do you have this Yuletide? I hope part is to spend some time with your family and friends. Perhaps spend it with someone special?" He asked.

((I am moving on as I need to get things and such done for the event))
Freyr smiled watching the event and the childern as it seemed the Wilhelm was thinking about a response. He crouched down to the childern pulling at his shirt trying to get his attention as he looked at the cookies they all made. Seem his mosaic thoughts were really fitting for the childern as he looked at all of them " It is so extrodinary. I hope some day to be just as good as you all are at painting such beautiful works of art. Now promise me one thing when you go to bed tonight."He said gently "you all will share your creations with the other orphans...you will hold dear the wonderful warm memories of this day within each cookie you have made."He said gently
the childern beaming in delight nodded " and maybe someday be a strong as you?"asked one.
"Oh I have no doubt you all will be strong and your magics will shine the brightest for our future kingdom. All you got to do is have faith and keep a smile on your face and in your hearts and if you see any wrong, you stop it by going to the nearest magic knights." He said
"Okay!" The childern laughed with delight wrapping their arms with a large group hug as he didn't stop them. this was a great time for them. it was not his place to stop them.
Once he was allowed free from their grip he stood up. waving good bye to the childern as he turned to leave speaking to one of the caretakers "If you all need anything, By all means reach out to House Alrekr, I will ensure I do all I can in my ability to help out." He spoke "that is my word as a man, and as a silver eagle." He spoke getting a nod and a thanks as he left the orphanage with a light chuckle as he got in the carriage "Well that was fun, now time for business and to get this show over with." Muttered Freyr
