The path Jirou walked was one illuminated by his own foot steps. With each move the footprint he had left would glow, causing a small ball of aura just big enough to look like ghost fire to float up and dissapear into the air as harmless mana. Left behind was no foot print at all, as if a ghost had made their way down the road. Above him and originating from his shoulders, a strip of silken ribbon that floated behind and above his head like the Kami of his homeland often were depicted to be. But none would know the god he was dressed as because it was himself. How he pictured himself as a God would be. Floating directly behind his head was a beautifully made and crafted crystaline stucture. It was made from diamond gemstone that were enchanted with his own aura to shine a soft light around his head and make the glittering gemstones upon his clothing glisten like ice crystals in the air.
His hair was cut short, and dyed to a perfec white. His Emperial Jade eyes were a green neon spot upon the pure white backing of his hair and the top of his head and clothing. a single earing made its way down toward his shoulder, made from perfectly cut wild Gemstones that the himself had found and cut. He had made all the gemstonees, collecting and refining those he already could get to and making certain specialty ones from wild gems he found n his travels. He had a pride in himself that refused to let him wear anything without having contributed to its making somehow. Because even if it was simply picking the right fabric for it to be, he would only be certain it was perfect when his own divine and blessed hands worked upon the items. On the top of his head was a golden and platinum family crest of the Yuiee that was decorated with a gemstone that Jirou had not found. But forged. One made from his own condensed aura and using his Gemstone oddity to enhance its sturdiness, he had turned it into a compressed gemstone that shined a beautiful Royal Purple hue.
His top, was made of the purest white silk, fortified with the special techniques of the Yuiee family as it was spun by their own silk larva. His shoulders were decorated with platinum trimmings that invoked the scales of a dragon, Sapphire gemstones lined the sleeve like raindrops falling upward toward his head. The gemstones made their way down and more appeared just above his waist and continued down until they touched the inky black cloud that drifted beneath him. As he walked it would mix with the aura that came from his footsteps making the already eerie ghost fire like effect more smoky and etherial in appearance. The black smoke quickly dispersed once it flowed and was gave off the brief smell of a gathering lightning storm. He smiled as he made his way toward where he wished to stop off first: the Costume Contest and he was quickly signed up made his way to wait to be called to perform.

The auburn haired woman spotted something, or rather someone, with a rather glittering appearance to her. Didn’t help that the person also had glowing steps along with them. Her curiosity made her stop in her path to a food stall for something small to munch on, and by something small, a candied apple that she could enjoy munching on as she walked around. Her sudden stop made the fox eared headband bounce a little, along with the tail belt. She adjusted the top of her customized yukata inspired dress, and made sure her long sleeves didn’t tangle with her fake tail, or get under her skirt.
She thought for a moment and observed where he was going, noticing it was a costume contest. She tilted her head a hair as she observed the booth for the game, and shrugged her shoulders. There was no harm in joining in on the contest. She glanced down to her geta sandals and made sure the thigh high stockings were in place before she let her feet bring her towards the booth. Others were starting to come up to join as well, and she quickly scribbled her name down on the paper.
Her father had mentioned to her in a recent letter that if she was going to help the family from the outside, she needed to get slightly known and make some connections. A way for connections this go round just happened to be in the form of a contest, which she partially disliked. The plan was simple: get in the contest, attract an eye or two for business with her family, leave contests alone for the rest of the night. Or, if no one came to talk business with her, she could say she tried. Winning wasn’t the ultimate goal, but it could help. In this situation at least.
Taking a deep breath, Ophiuchus walked over to where the other contestants were. She made sure her hair wasn’t behind her ear. The illusion of her being a cat person would possibly be ruined then, and for a contest, it just might not work in her favor then.

As Iji moved over to where the costume contest was going on he saw quite a few people in various costumes and he gave a approving nod,”hmm going to be some decent competition from the looks of it” he muttered to himself as he saw a girl in what looked like clothes from the far east and then the Ravencrest saw Jirou and he wanted to shake his head as he saw how ornate the mans outfit was and he sighed.”seems like your wanting to be the focus of everything here arnt you jirou" he commented as he approached his tone was normal not mocking or mean jsut observant as his own outfit was less gaudy but still fitting for the festival since he looked the part of a marksman and he adjusted his hat as he wondered just how many more people would show up for this contest before they would get it underway, he knew that they had many things going on and with how many were here it likely would take a bit before they started.
He glanced around at the spooky décor that had been put out by the green mantis squad and he had to give them credit they put a good amount of work into this event every year and it showed, it made him glad that even after a change of leadership that dedication was still strong, he moved over to a desk and signed the paper to enter him into the contest as glanced not only and Jirou but at the other woman he saw had decided to join as well in the eastern clothing and he would wait in the same area as them while others got signed up as well.
As the young woman began to walk away from where those who were wishing to take part were greeted she stopped as Hua held her sleeve suddenly. "Hua?" she said her tone showing confusion "Nǚshì, nín de shìlì yīn tóu shā ér shòudào yánzhòng sǔnhài." he said calmly, she hadn't realized she had almost banged into a child that had run out in front of her. Soon enough she felt something being placed around her right wrist. "Dàodǐ shì zěnme huí shì?" she asked as she was about to lift the veil but was stopped "Wǒ huì yǐndǎo nǐ, dàn huì zài wǒmen hǎiguān de xiànzhì fànwéi nèi jìnxíng." he said his voice was respectful, she raised her hand to see a white piece of silk with golden embroidery "Hěn měilì" she commented running her fingers over it delicately "Jīn wǎn jiéshù hòu, rúguǒ nín yuànyì, kěyǐ bǎoliú tā." he said, he did not need such things.
Once it was done she began to walk around, Hua began to explain the games that vendors wanted to have people play and even some of the foods that were on offer. At current nothing was truly interesting to her, Hua had prevented her from colliding with children who came out of nowhere or even adults who seemed not to notice her. Ordinarily, this wouldn't be a problem as she would be able to see but Hua was refusing to allow her to raise her veil, treating her as if she was truly a bride. She understood why he would do this but personally thought it was silly as it was a costume and she wasn't getting married that night. As far as she was aware she wasn't even betrothed at that point as she had yet to see a matchmaker.
Eventually, Hua told her of a costume competition, this was something new to her "Wǒmen kěyǐ qù kàn kàn ma?" she asked her tone showing curiosity, Hua didn't say a word but led her towards the location. He took note that there were already some people there and informed her of such, this didn't bother her in the slightest as they were likely there to take part or like her out of pure curiosity. She remained a little ways away not wanting to interfere with anyone, her head tilted up as she heard Hua whispering something under his breath. She could have inquired and in truth she most likely should have but she knew that tone he had used within his whisper and it meant that the situation was likely going to become complicated and it wasn't something he wanted to really deal with.
