[attr="class","zavenreescroll"] The bandits soon found the place where Hinota and Zaven once were camping and their leader, Mason had already begun to examine the leftovers of the campsite. He looked over the decayed area with a smirk on his face, the tent was in tatters, a firepit once set up for warmth and to help with cooking was reduced to molded old sticks. Good, whatever had done this was already on the move, inside of their territory there was nothing that couldn’t be seen. He laughed for a moment until one of the men called over to him, with a higher pitched voice than normal. What he wanted to show was the decaying remains of an Owlbear that was dead long before the decay had set in… [break][break]
“Good...Just the amount of power that I have been looking for.” Mason said before grabbing his grimoire and casting a spell...the tracks of the two Golden Dawn mages...led over to a tree before the tracks disappeared on foot. “They took to the skies, send out the birds…”He said as the other bandits all whooped and hollered before giving off a signal, a whistle...then another, then another...it went on for miles as the large vultures were released into the air to try and find the two mages. [break][break]
[break][break]
Zaven was woozy during the ride, the wound had healed up enough that he did not feel exceptionally weak anymore but he felt out of stamina. He would point out a place near the edge of a deeper forest, ”There...I’ve been here once before to investigate an old ruin. We can take refuge there and think up how we are going to train. This is not a discussion.” He added the last part knowing that she would most likely offer resistance considering how everything has gone so far. If she would land then Zaven would slowly wait for her to step off before leaning against a pillar of an old ruin. ”Alright Hinota...if you can please get the supplies out, we are going to make camp here for the night...also if you could, I might take another dose of your healing magic. He would say as he felt the inside of his ruined shirt, it still felt warm and damp. Most likely he had some sort of curse on him that would not be healed unless properly treated by a higher tier healing mage, but he was going to live with it...He just needed something to eat to regain some stamina. ”What do you eat...would you be alright with fruits if I went out and gathered some?” He would ask, it was almost in jest considering his pitiful sight, but as the Golden Dawn captain looked up in the sky he saw some buzzards passing by overhead, it would have been more normal...but there were about twenty...and they all began to circle their position. [break][break]
”Hinota...I know this is confusing and I know my accusations and questions earlier make no sense, but I have no reason to lie to you, moreover...I am alive and am not going to be turning you into your family or anyone else. I am going to help you get better with your current healing spells and teach you some tricks to help with whatever may have happened back there. This place is remote enough to where we cannot get into trouble for any damages that may occur, and I will do my absolute best to not overly affect the wildlife in the area so that they do not attack me...for whatever reason.” He would say with a soft smile on his face, if Hinota looked she would see that the Golden Dawn captain was pale as a sheet of paper, and it did not seem that he was going to just let her walk away either. The stubborn man.

Hinota continued to fly silently towards who knew where? She knew for a fact it wasn't towards home as he had told her to go in a different direction, she wished that the man on the back of the broom wouldn't be so damned stubborn but she guessed that was one of the reasons he was the captain of one of the most elite squads. Problem she had it was that same tenacity that would likely one day get him killed, she knew she wasn't strong enough to heal the wound he had in the middle of his chest and was pretty sure Zaven was well aware of that too but still he was refusing to go see a mage who could actually undo whatever he was going through. She turned her vision back to Zaven as he spoke about where he wanted her to land them, she honestly felt as if this was a bad idea but what was she going to do? Defy him? She had no clue where she was since this was her first time in the Forsaken Region of the Clover Kingdom so would just have to listen to his directions for now. She really wished she had decided to put a map in with the supplies but again, they were in the middle of nowhere so she would have had the same issue regardless. She really did hate being in a situation such as this and so would need to learn sensory at some point to actually make maps, it would also help if she ever ended up over one of the borders for some gods forsaken reason. It was more likely high ranking mages would be sent near the borders but she wouldn't always be at the bottom of the food chain so knew she needed to start preparing for things to come. Gods, now she realised she was thinking like her father, it wasn't a bad thing but she'd rather not dwell on him if she could help it that's for sure.
She landed in the spot that he had indicated letting him get off first before getting off herself and helping him to be more comfortable "You've taken me near ruins where we could possibly be ambushed? This does not seem like a wise idea at all." she muttered, she sighed at the last part of his comment as they both knew she didn't know this area, between that and how she wouldn't leave someone hurt due to her frame of mind she was pretty much trapped their for training she really didn't want to do thanks to the accusations he had put forward in regards to her.
She blinked as he stated how she wanted her to get the supplies and to heal him more, the problem was she only had one set of hands and she was just given two different requests so she just stood for a short second deciding which was more important at that time. She decided that the supplies could wait just in case something else would go wrong on this training trip from hell, besides she was a healer first and foremost so that always took precedent in her mind. Her grimoire again floated beside her glowing with a whitish-baby pink hue as her eyes seemed to brighten more to a spring green just as she closed her eyes. Taking a slow deep breath she moved her hands to her chest and clasped them together almost as if she was praying, the glow of her eyes now so bright they could be seen through her eyelids, soon enough she started to release the breath that she had taken in just as slowly and the air around them both started to smell like strawberry-mango as she released a miasma from her mouth. She started to feel the calming, warming effects around herself and knew it may feel different for Zaven as he was actually hurt and under the effects of a curse.
Listening to what he asked she couldn't help but quirk an eyebrow "Like everyone else I eat food." she said keeping the spell active for now, she knew it would drain her but she had to get used to holding it for longer than just a few seconds. "You will not be going anywhere in your current condition Captain Zaven, I will get the supplies and will cook us something." she said somewhat coldly, she didn't want to be here and that was abundantly clear, she also didn't want him wandering off to try forage for things when she already had food supplies sorted so he would have additional reasons to keep them out there longer than what was needed. In honesty, she thought about opening the portal right under him and be done with it but she was feeling as if something was off so started looking around. Something wasn't right to the doll-like mage and every fibre of her being was telling her to run but she also felt as if that wasn't going to be a choice either.
She turned her gaze to where Zaven had been looking she bit her bottom lip seeing the twenty or so buzzards, she knew from her books that they weren't predators but they ate the meat of already dead beings and animals much like crows and ravens. "This isn't a good sign is it?" she whispered as she moved back to be by Zaven's side as she knew it would be safer and if needed she could try and defend even though it really wasn't her strong suit at all.
She turned her gaze to look at Zaven once more "No, you're right they do make no sense since I don't know attack spells." she said as calmly as she could "I don't know if you are lying to me but I have been told not to believe anything without proof so without that, I can't fully believe you I'd be a fool to. I am sorry." she closed her eyes for a moment and sighed "Regardless if what you say is true I will turn myself over to the authorities when we return to the royal city, I would be a threat to the kingdom and should be detained or killed, furthermore, I would have done a grave injury to a captain of a magic knight squad." it was as simple as that in her mind she either didn't do it and was scaring her or she did do it and the code of honour meant she had to turn herself over or become a fugitive. The latter really didn't seem to be appealing to her in all honesty. It was all so confusing for her but there was little else she could do than hand herself over and trust the truth would come out and she would be handled appropriately. How Zaven currently looked also worried her but there was no way she could force him to do anything because even in the sorry state he was in he could flatten her like a bug, she rather enjoyed breathing so would need to find a way to make it seem like his idea it would seem.
[attr="class","zavenreescroll"] Hearing her words about the ruins not being a good choice when concerned about an ambush made him sigh. Sure yeah, he was willing to admit he was wrong, but a ruined area had one thing going for it, cover. If they are ambushed, it would be easier to hide and wait for the assailants to come to them or to wait till they pass on through. He was worrying for nothing most likely and this will all be fine but when he was ready to go move out to get some food from the local animals, she quickly snapped at him and told him he would do no such thing. Zaven was many things, but he was not a freeloader, but before he could answer she noticed his gaze looking up as she saw the buzzards as well. When she quickly moved to his side he would look at her calmly and smile that same goofy grin he gave her in the garden where they met. ”whatever happens...I will remain at your side to make sure you are not injured. What kind of man would I be to let someone I brought all the way out here, for something to happen then not guard them.” He coughed a little as he stood tall, even with his injury he was not going to back down. [break][break]
Hinota continued to talk about the issue from before, saying that she couldn’t really believe him without proof. When she was starting to talk about when they got back to the kingdom he felt the air change as he held up a hand. ”Shh...Something is very wrong here.” Zaven said as he reached out with his mana to feel the mana signatures. [break][break]
[break][break]
The bandit gang had found the mana signature of what they were searching for. Their scouts reported that their buzzards had easily found the culprit of the decayed earth earlier. The culprit was two mages that seemed to be inside the ruins just ahead. That place was a den where rogue mages LOVED to gather, but it was because of the cover that the place provided. The presence of the bandits and the massive mana signatures caused the forest to grow quiet. He made sure that the ruins were surrounded. As far as what was known, it was just two mages, with one of them being extremely frail looking and hiding near one that now stood up and was looking around. He might have been a sensory mage, but he was shit if he couldn’t pick them up. So they decided to kill the standing one, because the one that was near him still had a faint signature of what they saw earlier. ”Move out boys...take the one that doesn’t fight alive. Kill the other one. He looks like he is more trouble than our average query.” He said as the others smiled, readying their bows and aiming them at Zaven, there were four bowmen that all released their arrows at the same time. [break][break]
[break][break]
Zaven felt it at the last minute, but 4 arrows pierced him, breaking his mana skin, two hit him in the scar on his chest, and two hit him in the shoulders on his back. ”Fuck! Hinota, stay down, provide healing support now.” He commanded as his azure eyes had begun to shine, his grimoire flowed up to the right side, near elbow level, it flung open as he found that he was unable to access anything higher than senior level magic. ”Don’t freak out, stay cool. You know which direction they came from.” He heard himself inside his head as he took a deep breath. He removed each arrow and deftly threw each of them in a single fluid motion, causing him to bleed heavily from those wounds. He really had lost a lot of blood, but he was not out yet. [break][break]
[break][break]
The four archer bandits, each were caught in their throats before falling from their trees. The leader sighed unhappily before snapping his fingers. He did not dare step out, but the damage had been done, the first mage was struck, and the other one he called Hinota...good, a dialogue could be started. ”HINOTA! DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS MAN HE IS AN IMPOSTER. WE FOUND A GRAVESITE NEAR YOUR OLD CAMP WITH THE TRUE MAGE BURIED INSIDE OF IT!” The leader used an auditory illusion spell to displace his voice. It would throw Zaven off of his tracks even, meanwhile his men began to get next to the treeline. ”DON’T HEAL THIS MAN! IF YOU DO WE WILL HAVE NO OPTION BUT TO CONSIDER YOU AN ENEMY OF YOUR KINGDOM! PLEASE COME TOWARDS THE SOUND OF MY VOICE AND LET US DISPOSE OF THIS BANDIT IMPERSONATING WHOMEVER WAS SUPPOSED TO BE WITH YOU!” He said as he summoned a grand golem, it looked almost identical to him except it was a monotone grey. It was insurance in case she did not fall for the trick, the Golem could swoop in and steal her away. [break][break]
[break][break]
Zaven heard the voice and used the shadows to conceal him as he dived back down towards Hinota. If this continued there was no telling what would happen, the buzzards lowered near the ruins now. ”Hinota...don’t be fooled by them...it really is me.” He said with confidence, looking into her eyes.

Hinota looked at Zaven as he sighed before looking down holding her sleeves biting her lip, she knew she was right in her assessment and knew this would also provide them cover if they were indeed attacked but worked for them also benefitted their enemies with that same cover from them. She decided however that she would remain quiet on her thoughts on that as she didn't want to frustrate the Golden Dawn captain any further than she already seemed to have done thus far. It had also seemed like she hit a nerve when she told the other that he wouldn't be going hunting or gathering berries, it wasn't because she didn't believe in hunting for food as that was just something done out of necessity and most if not all the animal would be used and what wouldn't be was often returned to the earth from her knowledge to help continue to nurture the land as things moved forward. It wasn't done maliciously or for sport but to allow them to continue living. The young doll-like mage didn't see what had happened earlier and what was needed for surviving on the same level as the animal could have been chased off, its death had done nothing to help them survive nor had it been so badly injured or infirm that it had to be put to rest so to her it was just as bad as murdering a person in cold blood.
"Before you say anything Captain Zaven, I know you want to contribute to us going forward but I have food supplies ready so there is no need to go hunting or gathering. You honestly aren't even in the best condition to do such a thing, so no, you will not be going anywhere and will be staying put..." she said in a somewhat stern tone to the elder male "And since you are refusing to go to the Golden Dawn headquarters where you could get healed properly and have asked me to do basically be your doctor I am telling you to rest and that is final." she said with conviction to her he was just being headstrong and stubborn as it was clear she was nowhere near the strength needed to help heal him from his injuries efficiently, to be honest, she had no idea just how bad his injuries were all she knew was that he had been bleeding and badly.
Hinota looked at him as he spoke to her about being by her side and making sure she didn't get injured "I deserve the pain that comes my way Captain Zaven, suffering begets suffering and I've caused too much today if you're words ring true." she said her voice trembling a little at the thought of causing so much damage to the surroundings and to Zaven himself, to her she had committed a grievous sin and so deserved everything that came her way to atone for it.
"You are a fool Captain Zaven, I am a threat to the nation." it was as simple as that in her mind and would turn herself over as soon as they got back regardless of what he said because she would rather be classed as a criminal than be a traitor and do real harm to people and disgrace her parents in such a manner, this way they could just disown her and be done with it but to known to have birthed a traitor she knew there was no way back from that.
She looked at him as he stood and shushed her before looking down for a moment "I could have told you that and I don't have sensory Captain Zaven." she said quietly knowing that currently, he was stating the obvious thanks to the buzzards circling above them was as huge a red flag as a ninja in a bright orange jumpsuit trying to sneak up on them while saying 'nin nin nin' she said just before Zaven barked an order at her making her take cover instantly, she didn't like how this was going but it wasn't like she could run anywhere, she didn't know this place and she couldn't just leave Zaven behind either
She was surprised when she heard a voice call out her name and looked to the side of the broken wall she was hiding behind. She listened to the words being said to her carefully and assessed them with as clear a mind as she could muster "Liar..." she said simply "Captain Zaven... any knight or loyal citizen of the Clover Kingdom would call this 'our' kingdom not 'your' kingdom, in fact, they would call the kingdom by its name as they would take pride in it. I am not falling for that trick." she said bringing her head back behind the wall her hand moving forward around the wall towards Zaven creating a seal that started red and ended pink before strawberry-scented red and baby pink rose petals would come from it and begin to dance around Zaven as if trapped on a wind current. "Besides, a true magic knight would know a magic knight captain on sight, especially Zaven Blake, captain of the Golden Dawn" she called out not giving two damns about anything at current, she was emotionally drained and was ready to head back to the city now.
She honestly had no idea how these idiots believed that they would be able to fool her with such a shoddy plan, it was true that she wasn't any good when it came to fighting due to her beliefs and that she had absolutely no sensory to speak of but her parents had taught her elder brother and herself how to read the tides of battle, how to recognise a spy and deception when it came to the kingdom. "Why are you trying to take me? I'm of no use to you as a weapon, I'm a pacifist healer." she said honestly, she hadn't even thought about the fact they could have taken her for ransom but then that was a dangerous game to do when the family were magic knights.
[attr="class","zavenreescroll"] Hearing her call him a fool stung a bit, because the captain of the Golden Dawn was many things; an adventurer, a strategist, a blunt asshole, and at times...a monster, but a fool...he was not. He sighed when she spoke, rebuking the man that had come to try and deceive his junior, and with that same cocky smile he gave her when the two first met in that garden. He was bleeding still even with her healing, but after a deep breath he picked himself up and gave Hinota a very tacky thumbs up, what was he...some main character in a shonen manga? ”That there is why I know I can put my faith that you will have my back, and why you are not leaving the Golden Dawn. These tools think they are some hot shit for trying to fight an injured mage and one that is still being trained...they have another thing coming. Hinota...I will ask you this since this is so sudden and will sound very odd, but how do you feel now that you see me injured...Knowing that these men are coming to kill me and to take you captive. They just know about what you can do due to what we left behind. I was not a liar, and I am a very cruel man as I know I am planning on keeping you here now without your further consent...even going as far as to threaten to tell your family.” He says as a bandit wielding a spear and net comes forth and tosses the net at Hinota and jabs the spear at Zaven. [break][break]
Zaven catches the heavy net, feeling his mana drain further before catching the spear before grasping hard, snapping the shaft of the weapon before catching the broken part and shoving the spear blade into their attacker. I will buy you time...now would probably be your only chance to escape Hinota...will you take it?” He asked, looking in her direction, his eyes had a familiar look to them, those azure eyes of his seemed innocent, but still worried about her. [break][break]
[break][break]
The bandit leader saw his spearman die like trash before the others began to move into the ruins. They would have to act fast since the girl saw through their little petty trick so easily. ”IF YOU COME OUT TO US NOW WE WILL TEACH YOU ZVERY WILL PHYSICALLY AND MENTALLY TO BE A GOOD LITTLE OBEDIENT GIRL!” The bandit would say as his second in command looked at their leader. ”Sir...that girl is much more valuable to us as a weapon, if we can get her to stop lying and show us with some of these little shits you hired recently...we won’t need manpower to take what we want...we can use her as leverage...after we break her of course. We don’t need to hold her as a ransom. The man said as he saw his leader just smirk, not saying a word. This was becoming a game to him, and the longer it lasted...the better the prize at the end would be. The bandit leader licked his lips.

The doll-like mage had no idea that her words stung the elder male, to her it was illogical for her to be spared if she had almost killed someone as strong as him, more than that she had almost killed a magic knight captain. As she understood it when one wizard king died or stepped down it was from the captains his replacement would be chosen from. It was more than stars that earned you a position, it was also deeds that would help spread your name throughout the kingdom meaning she had almost killed a national hero. She shook her head at the thought of someone like him who has survived the shattering, fought daemons only to be killed by a pacifist who lost control of her magic because she got angry at the death of an owlbear. She had to wonder if she lost control like that at the death of an animal how would she be when people were being hurt and killed around her, to be honest, she still didn't remember any of this but the elder male had yet to lie to her and he gained nothing from playing such a sick joke on her but at the same time she knew her grimoire had no such spells within it so it was still hard for her to believe such things about what happened. She didn't want to hurt anyone, she was happy just healing those who had suffered but if that darkness was in her then it was better for her to pass away now and save everyone what turmoil could be awaiting in the future.
She listened to Zaven's words and tilted her head for a moment as she let them sink in "How do I feel seeing you injured?" she asked herself the first question quietly "How do I feel knowing that they want to kill you?" her voice this time though still quiet seemed to be almost as if she was zoning out "How do I feel knowing that they want to kidnap me?" by this point her mana had started to flare as it had before the whites of her eyes turning black as her forest green eyes once again turned a deep royal purple. Her sweet-smelling miasma once again turning foul, it was easy for Zaven to know that she once again was not the one in control but this time it was almost as if she had locked onto the threat at hand as she walked out from behind the wall she had previously been hiding "Why should I run or hide from cowards like them?" she said her voice dripping with venom that could easily kill within a matter of moments, to her, they were worthless pieces of scum that deserved to be tortured until they begged for death's sweet embrace only to be denied it and tormented more. She was sure that now people like her were often targeted by pathetic and ignorant people like them. "You, I will deal with later, for now, they are the threat." her voice was icy cold, it was like she lacked all forms of empathy.
Hearing what the bandit leader said she started to walk forward her every step killing the land she walked on "You will teach me to be a good girl both mentally and physically?" she asked him her voice though sounding sweet held a venomous undertone, she carefully placed each step as she almost glided towards him until that faithful moment they stood eye to eye with the leader only to drop quickly taking his footing from under him, as quickly as she dropped she was on her feet once more but it was more than that as her foot was on his throat and adding pressure slowly. "I have lived my entire life as a good obedient girl. I done everything expected of me and I was still beaten close to death for the one time I followed my own path. I don't need your worthless training." she said with a vicious tone her eyes turning to his second in command "And I am not a weapon, I am a person! a human being and should be treated as such you pathetic excuse of a swine." she growled to the man, he could try to attack her but she would just send the miasma into his mouth while crushing his leaders larex without a second thought. "Give me one reason not to snuff out your lives light after all the pain you have given and I might not kill you." she said it would be clear to Zaven at this point she didn't give to fucks and would kill these people regardless of their pleas or reasons if he didn't find a way to stop her from making a mistake that wouldn't just tarnish her reputation as a person but stain her in a way she wouldn't be able to forgive herself for when she came back to her senses.
Zaven heard her and he did not speak further as the attacks came too fast for him to keep up with as the net was thrown over him and his mana began to drain from him. He was about to say something when he saw her eyes turn again and the miasma turned into a choking cloud that permeated the clothes of all around, seeping into the stone, the earth, the air became a haze as Zaven watched the one bandit that threw the net over him fall down and began to choke. Zaven had activated his mana skin just in time as he still felt the pressure, but this was the best he could do. When she walked out of cover, the bandits tried to move in, but were choked...the only one that stood a chance was their leader...and he stepped forward without mercy as he saw his group falling one by one, then he laughed...a laugh so menacing that it would even strike fear into an owlbear. [break][break]
”Good...you came out and are taking care of my lightwork. The less people I have to share the bounty with...the better. So yes, continue thinking you are in charge of the situation. You will only kill the man you are with...and taking you will be like child’s play.” He said as he began to step forward towards Hinota, pulling out a knife with the very clear intention of harming her, the smile on his face was very menacing...a practiced look from a killer that was enjoying this game. [break][break]
Zaven felt the anger inside of him boiling over, the wound on his chest throbbed with the anger of Hinota being in full swing. He remembered her words, telling him that she would deal with him later, and that they were the enemy. Zaven could not agree with that sentiment more as he breathed in the miasma in gulping breaths...the only way out of this situation was to give in to his own demons. He felt them tugging from the corners of his own psyche. A smile crept along his face as his grimoire exploded with mana. It was enough that even the bandit leader could feel it. The shadows around the area began to bend and pull towards Zaven as a familiar feeling would sweep through those ruins...fear. [break][break]
The shadows would begin to gather around Zaven, his grimoire glowed the same sickly purple it glowed before the Shattering...and after a moment the grimoire exploded open and turned to a new page at the very end of the great tome. ”So...you need an even greater moment of power young one...I have watched you for a great deal of time, and given you strength in your most dire hours of need but this...you can control this situation yet it slipped from your grasp...why is that?” The voice rang out in Zaven’s head as a throbbing pain would rack Zaven’s body, it felt like his head was being split open. ”I...need...I...failed to teach someone that I…” The pain was making him feel confused, he searched his mind and finally remembered…”It left my control the moment I decided to involve my own feelings...PLEASE...do not allow me to fail at this juncture. I must save this woman before me...I must show her that there is something in this world that is...worth striving for…” He pleaded with the voice...but in reality it was only the half truth as the pain shot through him once more. ”LIAR! I SEE INSIDE OF YOUR DEEPEST THOUGHTS! TELL ME WHY YOU DESIRE MY POWER!” It yelled at him as Zaven opened his eyes, a pitch black color now as the net exploded, a shadow behind him that grew to the same size as it took form. ”I...desire...for the world to bow before me.” He said aloud, Zaven’s body became numb to the pain as the shadow entity condensed and its form became solid. Standing at 4 meters tall it wore a solid black cloak of death, and under the hood were two different colored eyes; azure, and purple. The creature outstretched its hand and the Miasma would fall from the area as if being swept from the place by a great wind. Swinging its arms wide, there were cries of pain for a moment, then silence. Then Achilies stood beside Zaven, his grand golem that was as tall as he was. [break][break]
With the ruins silent, Zaven looked at Hinota and the bandit even. Stepping forward, beside her he looked down at her, grasping her shoulder. If she would look up at him, it would be like looking into a mirror for the first time...Hinota would become aware, as the golems followed behind Zaven silently. Zaven looked at the bandit leader and smiled. ”You heard the lady, give her a reason...your comrades...they are all dead...there is no escape from this place.”

As she walked forward it was clear as crystal she cared little for what happened to the man she was there to train with, she was completely calm and seemingly uncaring for the destruction that she herself was creating be it to the landscape or to the enemy themselves. Zaven would know this wasn't normal for the doll-like mage she had always favoured life to the point she refused to even spar when requested to do so, she saw the act of causing pain in any way as a terrible thing and that it would only create more suffering in the world which she had no intention of contributing to. It had also been reported by her once guardian and now tutor Elenor that she had even healed enemies that would willingly do her harm in the past, the spatial mage had gone so far to say that in the time she had known the floral mage she had never seen her once angry or act as an aggressor so she didn't believe it was in her nature to do anything but healing. She had told her captain that she was a prodigy in healing but her parents weren't really wanting her to join a magic knight squad when she had given her reports over the years she had protected the youth. She had reported eventually that the parents were considering allowing her to join the magic knights but were going to be strict on which she could join, in the spatial mages opinion it was wrong as there was no guarantee that she would have been accepted in the ones they would have chosen moreover they had allowed her brother choose his own path.
Hinota paid no attention to the choking men around her, they were no threat to her and she knew it. She moved steadily forward her movements still graceful but each step seemed to have a distinct purpose and reason for happening, the ground that she stood on instantly dying thanks to the poisonous miasma she was releasing. Her calm and emotionless demeanour would have been enough to make anyone back off but that was kind of hard when those who were now trying to cling to their lives were dying around her through a magic she had no real way of controlling. She heard the menacing laugh that the leader was giving out as his own men suffered the horrible fate of suffocating and feeling as if their lungs were filling with fluid amongst other things, she, however, was unphased by the entire situation and kept walking forward until she was stood in front of him "Your laugh is irritating." she finally said "Perhaps I should break that jaw of yours to shut you up, but that wouldn't stop the noise now would it... no, I best just crush your larynx and snuff out your fragile and worthless little light." she continued her tone showed nothing but coldness towards the one she was standing in front of the bandit leader, she was watching every micro movement that the man was doing and knew even now that given how she looked he wouldn't take her seriously but there was nothing more dangerous than underestimating your opponent and that played to her advantage and she knew it.
She listened to him prattle on and rolled her eyes "Are you finished you fool?" she asked crossing her arms as she showed she was getting impatient on this "Let me educate you since you seem to have not passed basic schooling..." she began her tone showing that this was nothing more than a bother to her "A bounty is what you have on your head as you are an outlaw, what I would have on mine if you somehow managed to take me would be a ransom if I must deal with you in my presence at least pretend to be intelligent it's embarrassing." she almost scolded him. She had noticed that he had drawn a knife from his pocket as he walked towards her, she was still unmoving knowing that the miasma would still be affecting him in some regards. "Aww, did I hit a nerve little boy?" she asked as he seemed to walk towards her trying to look as menacing as he could but she just found it amusing as she didn't need to harm him, she could just keep giving him the run around until he finally sur came to the miasma's effect and perished. That seemingly wasn't going to happen as she felt a burst of mana behind her, where it was true she was not in tune with sensory magic still felt that and it drew her attention from the enemy in front of her. She got the tail end of what happened only seeing the forming of the golem that seemingly dissipated her miasma "It seems a greater threat arises." she said nonchalantly as her eyes shifted back to the bandit leader "Right now I believe he would even kill me so he's definitely going to kill you." she said with a small shrug. It was then she felt a warm hand on her shoulder and looked up to the other who began to talk "Seems I was wrong, the only one that is going to die here is you." the way she said this was in a matter of a fact way "The miasma is already in your lungs working away like a deadly poison and no one can run from the darkness, especially their own." she finished awaiting the next move to happen. Come what may it would seem the pair would deal with it but the darkness of the doll-like mage could already feel the control slipping from her as the true side of her was crying out and pleading for this to stop, it was true she wouldn't remember any of this when she took control and it would seem like some nightmarish dream she would even plead that it wasn't true when told but then that was not her problem at the end of the day.
[attr="class","zavenreescroll"] The fear in that moment as the bandit leader realized that things had gone horribly wrong, he wanted to beg for his life. He wanted to piss his pants, hell at this point he might even offer his life as a slave just to not die by these two and whatever ungodly thing that was summoned into this world by the man that was “protecting” this young woman. As she spoke he knew it well enough, her miasma had already permeated his lungs...he was going to die there...as a man with a bounty on his head...he had not finished what he set out for in this life...Money, fame, women...all were within his grasp but this bitch and her demonic partner had now ruined it. He was pissed, and as such he decided even in the face of having Zaven there, and hearing her final words to him he was going to kill this fucking bitch. As he took a step though it was all over, Erebus sliced the bandit leader in half as Achillies ran to the man and tore him to shreds without even so much as trying. Just scraps of leather and a blade would be left behind as Zaven turned to Hinota and looked at her. ”Such a beautiful young thing...it is a shame your other half sees this as all a bad dream and not reality. Perhaps…” Zaven said as he was wrapping his arm around her, and pulling her into his arms in an instant. ”That’s better...perhaps you can release the woman and let her know of all the things she did, but I will let you know as well as her when the time comes. You will not be leaving my side...even if I have to hold you there myself.” He would say before finally bending down and nearly pressing his lips to her, only to pull away and a bitter laugh would spread across his face filling the ruins with a grim laughter…Zaven would then turn back at her, the shadows spread over his body like flames for a moment before dying down. [break][break]
”So do you see this little slice of hell...we made this...not just you this time Hinota...and if you are wondering, your Miasma is not doing the trick anymore because well...Zaven here is not in control of his own body...it is quite funny you see because he created me out of necessity...survival and whatnot. I was born at the tower where the old captain of the Coral Peacocks...Silas...I was in that tower at the time of his death, Zaven’s partial death as well...his body now is NOTHING like what it used to be, and better yet...it was easy to gain control because he had an inkling of me as a child...I am the one he calls Erebus, a god myth to you people, but to him...a comforting friend. I slaughtered THOUSANDS of daemon...the living alike. I can see you are still...fresh to this however, don't worry though.” Zaven smiled like a maniac. ”it becomes addicting after a while, the POWER, the feeling of holding life in your claws, that PRIMAL URGE and BLOODLUST!” He shuddered before finally something snapped in his head. ”Seems I have a visitor, I guess I better be going...ta ta for now Hinota.” The shadow possessed Zaven finally kissed Hinota briefly before the Golems, and the shadow possession vanished, leaving Zaven to fall back on his ass, the wound on his chest healed...and the bandits that were surrounding them at one point were dead. However, he felt a coursing bit of energy making his pulse race still, the adrenaline made everything brighter, his senses sharper...he looked at Hinota unsure of what to say, but he remembered everything at that moment as he just took a second to survey his surroundings. [break][break]
”We need to move from here...predators will arrive soon to pick these ones...and I don’t think the miasma is fully gone from the area.” He said as he looked at her once again, he was not ready to finish their training, but he needed to be sure they were not caught out there without any kind of strategy again.

Hinota remained there unmoved by the clear distress that the man who had tried to not only trick her but attack her so she could either be sold to some brothel, collector or weapon. She was clearly apathetic to him as right now it wasn't in her nature to care what happened to those she saw as lesser beings than herself. "Are you going to wet yourself little boy?" she asked eventually in a mocking and condescending tone towards him. "Perhaps this will serve as a lesson in your next life to not judge a doll by their appearance, after all, a pretty smile and fluttering eyes can be the easiest weapons to disarm people." she said tilting her head a little a smug look on her face as the man realised that he was going to die in this forsaken place that even the gods themselves had seemingly forgotten. "Most people turn to crime from my understanding for fame and fortune, but, you can get this by working hard and earning the respect of your peers." she said walking closer to him as if anticipating what was to come and actually allowing him to try and harm her, she knew she had no reason to worry about him or any other thing around her as even now the other would protect her from all that would attempt to harm her. He had heard how the other wanted the world to bow down to I'm but she wasn't going to be among the ants that he could crush, why should she be after all it would be a waste to destroy her expensive clothing any more than they had been. It was a waste in her opinion but was expected she guessed given what she was summoned out there for in the first place.
Before she could even land her foot it was already over, the golem had sliced the bandit leader in half before he was eventually torn to ribbons, she had been close enough that some of the blood had gotten on her clothing and shoes which made her sigh a little in frustration. "Such a messy way to dispose of someone." she said in a somewhat eerily calm tone, she couldn't be angry at anyone other than herself on this occasion since she had attempted to move forward but even if she hadn't she was still getting hit with some of that viscus blood that had come towards the pair. "Thank goodness I decided to pack a wardrobe." she chuckled covering her mouth as if she saw the demise of this man as nothing more than a joke, she could feel her other self clawing to try to get back to the surface but for now that wouldn't do, she would panic and she would be released once more to deal with the aftermath of being covered in whatever she was at current. No, she would have change clothing before allowing the other side to take control of the wheel. Hearing the other now address her she turned around and looked at him "Do I even want to tell you how irritated I am that your doll there ruined one of my outfits." she said before even taking a moment to take in what the other had said to her. After her initial comment of annoyance, she then took the time needed to take in his words fully "I have been raised to treasure my beauty, after all, if my fools of parents had their way then I would already be married and pregnant with their first grandchild instead of being out here in the wilderness with you now wouldn't I." She still hated the fact she was treated as a second class citizen in her family just because of her gender had she been male then she was sure she'd have had all the freedoms her elder brother had and not be punished for the decision she had made that day.
"Our soul isn't like yours, it is broken... for... reasons beyond my understanding; we are like two separate people inhabiting one body and for now she isn't ready for the darkness or shadow within this world." she said explaining a few things to him "Death... well, that will never be one of her strong points again for reasons." she smiled it was clear she was hiding things but she wouldn't give the answers that easily, where would be the fun it that, if he really wanted them he would have to chase her and then she may give them but she may not it would all depend on her mood at that point. "This will forever be a nightmare to her as we can not communicate, the soul is not complete after all nor would it be in my best interest to allow her to know this isn't a dream she could either shut down completely or take her own life." she said looking to him "I'm selfish in that regard, I intend to survive as long as I possibly can." She was sure the other could understand the want and need to survive more than most could given what he had been through in his life, she was however caught flat-footed as the other wrapped his arms around her, it wasn't a move she had expected but then this side of the man seemed much more brazen than the other. She actually enjoyed this powerful force close to her and it was seen in her eyes as she looked up to him. "I will release her when I have changed, after all, with her fragile demeanour it would do no good for anyone if she went into another panic being painted in blood and who knows what else now would it." she said with a chuckle shaking her head knowing that this was the truth of the matter she seen her other side as weak, feeble, dependant everything she herself despised. She couldn't help but laugh at the comment of him attempting to keep her there "If I wanted to leave I would, there would be nothing you could do to stop me. Her, on the other hand, is a completely different kettle of fish and that is between the two of you." it was as simple as that to her.
She watched as he got close enough to the point their lips almost touched before he pulled back and laughed over the entire situation which made her eyes roll but she couldn't deny her heart was running faster than it had before and didn't exactly understand why. It surely had to be the other side that was having these types of emotions, she'd rather die than be at the beck and call of some man and she didn't care just how much of a member of the blue roses she seemed in all honesty. "I do see, and, my name isn't Hinota." she said crossing her arms walking away from him to inspect the area, they would have to move yet again it would seem as this place wouldn't be suited for anything for a good long while thanks to what they had done. "Oh, I know the moment you changed that my miasma wasn't affecting you or you wouldn't still be breathing right now." she said moving to get the broom that had carried her here. "With the way, you're bragging anyone would think you were overcompensating for something else." she looked him up and down chuckling "And I doubt your partners have complained about where it matters so I wonder what you are trying to cover up." she jokingly mocked him. "I will never be a primal beast that gives into my bloodlust, they won't see their deaths until it happens." she said moving away with the broom moving to sit side-saddle on it but before she knew it he was beside her again and kissing her, it had caught the woman off guard once more to the point she almost fell of the broom but managed to prevent it being too apparent to the other.
She watched as the darker more primal side of the man left making him fall back as he looked back to her "They will be and no it hasn't because I have yet to drop the miasma I create." she said starting to float up "I'm heading home, enjoy the walk." she said as she started to fly off, her heart was still racing so she wasn't going to fast at the moment as she needed to centre herself and her mana.
[attr="class","zavenreescroll"] Her comments towards how he disposed of the bandit leader were...amusing, of course in that moment he could not help but chuckle at the fact that whoever was in control of Hinota’s body just simply talked at him as if he was some commoner. He was even tempted at one point to actually strike her for this, but it was merely the shadows talking to him, telling him to do such a thing. Fucking beings he could not control were tearing at his mind and using his body like a playground. Her words about Hinota’s family was mildly infuriating, because Zaven knew that even with how it all went down...this woman still cared for her family. The reasoning for the entity inside Hinota taking control, not wanting her to remember it he understood self preservation, and with that in mind he did not stop the being from doing as it wished, even with the back and forth the two shared it still seemed as though there was some rift between the two of them that could not be mended with just simple words or even the actions took to protect her...not that she probably could have wiped out life within a kilometer around her was a different story. [break][break]
The final moment saw her trying to leave without him to go back to the base as she exclaimed that he could not stop her even if he wanted to...so he smirked and the grand Golem Typhon appeared. A new addition to his little stable of shadow golems he intended to use to become stronger and he just ordered the creature to stop her. However, the intended movement was...over-thought in a spectacular sense as the dragon golem raced ahead of the broom wielding woman and swatted at her, hoping to knock her out in a quick, effective movement. Zaven was quick to activate the Final Abyss armor and if it all worked well he would catch Hinota and she would be knocked out. If she was by chance still awake he would move a quick chop to try and knock her out, which would hopefully succeed. [break][break]
Once it was said and done he would retrieve the broom and get to the back of Typhon and have the golem fly them to Sivert Lake...not the most ideal place considering the amount of people around, but as they landed he sent achilles...another shadow golem to pay for a cabin with some Yul...the cabin was even more exclusive and out of the way than most at the lake. Getting Hinota into a room he would close his eyes and redress her, the best he could before burning the bloody clothes that he ruined. He dressed into a simple common outfit, hers would be a sundress...he never once sneaked a peak and once it was all said and done he just sat across from her bed in a chair against the door and waited for her to wake up…”Fuck...this is not ideal...and super fishy…”
