Another day another job but no complaints came from Valo, he finally had the time rest with the past couple days off. But now that he was well rested it was time to get back on the grind he had heard word of another job that he wasted no time to grab. This one with a clear objective to achieve, get in find the tourists and get out. But this one wasn't as easy the location would make this a lot more difficult. It was in the Forsaken Region probably one of the more dangerous lands in the Clover Kingdom. Known for bandit attacks, snow storms, wolves, while still recovering from the Diamond War. It was doing it's best to make a recovery, but considering all the negatives surrounding this land it made sense that it was taking awhile. Despite all that Valo wasn't new to this land, a number of years ago when he was still running around with his gang he was brought here a few times both willingly and unwillingly. He didn't a lot of history here, but he knew the lands well. Even more reason why he took the job, plus Valo shies away from no challenge.
Valo was well dressed for the weather here, but of course he had to add his own personal style to it. He had just bought a lot of new stuff when he visited the Royal Capitol for the first time. The one he most happy about what his new green mantis cloak, instead of being short and ugly like usual. He got a much longer and heavier one to combat against this weather. The length reached his ankles, and the top collar had a fur hood now attached just in case Valo wanted to slip his hood on for intense wind and snow. Underneath his brand new cloak was a heavy over sized black sweater with grey combat pants to match. His boots were heavier as well, still flexible combat boots but the needed reinforcement for traveling in the snow he got black to match his sweater. This time he was absent of any jewelry though, he didn't want to risk losing any of his precious accessories in the forest, especially in a snow storm. But of course he looked well kept as per usual, what he did add to his wardrobe was a pair of green and black goggles that he would use to protect his eyes from the snow. He bought he another pair of all black ones, for his partner Fell just in case he needed one. He was confident Fell would dress well for the weather considering the mission briefing.
Valo was walking through the nearby town, most the town's folk at least in this part of town were bandits, felons, and some other wanted men. Some started to grill Valo who was obviously a magic knight. Valo met their gaze with his own, his was a bit more sly and confident though. They knew better than to attack him, and Valo knew they wouldn't attempt anything. His cocky grin only further proved that thought. He turned his head slightly to face Fell though, whom he would assume be nearby him.
"Oi Fell. Where you think we should go find some info first? I'm thinking the inn is gonna have more info than these bums out here?" he asked Fell pointing to the inn close by with his thumb.
Fell was a huge fan of the cold, one may not ever truly realize it, especially living in the royal capital where it was quite nice right now. But out here Fell felt nice. Ever since he had learned to control his lightning element and learned to circulate it he could heat up his body which made snowball fights sound all the more appealing. He hadn't actually had the ability to throw a snowball at anyone though, with a lack of friends it was rather hard to actually do so without risking throwing it at someone he would then have to fight. Nonetheless it was just to say Fell had grown to like the snow. It wasn't the first time he was around here, having traveled around Fell had gone into the Forsaken region a handful of times. And if there was one thing Fell was great at it was remembering locations, but he let Valo lead. It was clear that out of the two Valo was much more leader material, after all he was more blunt and open while Fell liked to stick to himself a little more. In the end it was better off if Valo did the talking.
Fell did decide that while he could heat up his body, in the end his skin did still need protected. Fell graciously accepted Valo’s gift of goggles, something he personally didn't even think about bringing. Along with those Fell had grabbed a new cloak himself that was similar to Valo’s, though it was red and trimmed in a gold lining and of course had the Lions symbol on the back as well as on top of the hood that Fell could pull over his head, and currently had it such to keep his stares away from the general populous. It was the first thing Fell had spent much money on as he thought it had simply looked cool and decided he wanted something that looked more than what he normally had on. Though there were a couple of thug looking individuals that met the stares of Valo, then Fell. All they would see was lightning crackle in the boys eyes and between that and Valo’s confidence they would quickly look away. Fell finished his outfit with normal albeit thicker black shirt and pants, and supplemented his normal shoes with black snow boots. He had come prepared much like Valo even if he did wonder how heated he could keep his body.
Fell loved wandering through these forsaken region cities, it was amazing to him how these people lacking so much magic thought they actually could ever become meaningful thugs. Take the ones in front of him for example, if you combined all the magic between them, you may have equaled a quarter of Valo’s. And there were three of them, it was just humorous to the boy, though he avoided laughing to not cause trouble. Fell listened to his partner who seemed to have a plan and was happy to follow. “Sure, works for me, probably gonna be more stares in there but oh well, more people to scare away hunh.” The boy joked as he poked the boy and sent a slight shock from his finger to the man's cloak. It wasn't strong by any means, merely would be equal to a pinch on the skin, it was nice to say that Fell did see this man as his first friend. And friends joke around right, it was harmless in the end anyway. And who knows maybe it heated him a little in the end, though it would be rather miniscule if anything. "Plus we need some work to do, if you are gonna afford your spending habits".

Valo nodded when Fell agreed with him, but jolted slightly when he felt a slight shock against his skin no more painful than a small pinch. But the surprise is what mostly caught Valo. He laughed and playfully punched Fell against the arm, more of a tap than an actual punch. "Don't tell me you're scared of these wussies now." Valo replied to Fell with a small grin while walking backwards towards the inn. He spun around when he reached the door, and pushed it open hard causing just a little scene. Most people in the inn were now looking at them, it wasn't a lot of people but just enough. But Valo payed it no mind, and turned back towards Fell.
"You may have a point, trying to live an expensive life style isn't cheap you know. Sometimes you just gotta enjoy the finer things in life! Maybe one day you'll understand. Now let me show you how obtain info from guys like this." Valo joked walking towards the bar table. He took a seat at the table leaving an open chair for Fell if he decided to sit. The bartender was an older burly man, as with most of the people hanging around this inn. Valo could tell from one look that no one wanted them there, but if they were able to get the info that they needed they could be in and out quickly.
"Hey were looking for any information involving a lost group of tourists in the hills, know anything about it?" Valo asked the bartender casually. He thought trying a nice and decent casual approach first wouldn't hurt. Valo was cut from the different cloth, but he was patient if only for so long. "Hello anyone home, just asked a question." Valo said when he didn't get a response.
But right after that a rather large individual came to Valo's side. "You two shouldn't be here, you should leave before we make you leave." he said placing his hand on Valo's shoulder. Now the man was pretty well built, from the looks of it the he was physically the most imposing man there. Valo wasn't intimidated not in the slightest, if anything he looked more disappointed. "Welp I tried." he said.
In one swift movement Valo grabbed the thug's arm, with sheer force and momentum he slammed the thugs head on the bar table. Valo still holding onto his arm trapped him in a shoulder lock using both is arms. Valo was in a position where he could easily break his shoulder, the thug was whimpering from the intense pain. Valo held the position with a disappointed look on his face. "You see we just wanted some simple info, now you're bleeding and your arm is about to break." Valo pressed harder causing the thug to shout in intense pain.
Finally someone in the corner stood up and decided to speak and tell them what they needed to know. "We saw some tourists on the left side of the hills, they were on their way up. About three of them two men and a young women. They looked well dressed for the weather, but the snow storm came out of nowhere."
Valo let the antsy thug go, he dropped to the floor clutching his arm. "You see you guys that wasn't so hard now was it! Now we can leave and be on our way." Valo said before turning towards Fell. "You see obtaining info from thugs, easy." Valo said laughing slightly beginning to walk towards the door.

Fell followed the man into the tavern on the way following up the remark with. “I am not scared of people whose magic can fit under my fingernail.” Fell seemed almost different now with Valo, the quiet awkward boy had grown around the man to be more confident and was definitely more outspoken around him now than anyone else, though still quiet around other people as per usual. Following him inside he watched and listened as Valo wandered up to the bar, only muttering loud enough for Valo to hear. “I find shock therapy or shadow manipulation can do the work most of the time.” Fell joked, having never actually tried either, only thinking about it in the future as a possibility.
Fell watched as Valo was unsuccessful in getting the bartender's attention. Fell himself had decided to opt out of sitting. He was well aware of the attitude these people held and how volatile they could be. And felt better off standing, sensing all the magic around them, weak. Standing in a manner he was able to see almost the whole room outside of a single corner behind him where he focused his senses. Fell noticed the bartender ignoring Valo, and noticed the man coming up behind Valo. Fell straightened and began murmuring to the guy “I wouldn…” he got out just before the man began to speak to his partner. Fell trusted his partner and muttered to himself “I warned you”. Just as he finished the man did so too and Fell watched as Valo taught the man a lesson, slamming him face first into the bar and grabbing his arm. It was the usual, listen here asshole, move of someone at a bar.
Fell had learned all about the sort of holds Valo taught him, and even Fell had been in a similar spot. It was no fun, feeling as though the ball of your shoulder was going to pop out of socket and your arm was going to snap in half. Fell also noticed the man clearly had no experience, Fell had learned that in this situation a quick escape was to sweep a leg as Valo had taught. This man clearly did not have the same teacher, and was fucking with the wrong guy.
Fell simply sighed watching around the room as the man spoke up when Valo spoke again. The rooms dynamic had quickly switched upon the interaction and it was clear now they valued their arms more than their dignities. Valo and Fell had gotten their answer and Valo release the man who fell to the ground. Valo had turned and begun leaving the tavern and Fell just bent down and spoke to the man. “I was trying to warn you not to mess with him man, heat the arm it'll feel better in no time. I can't help you with your face though, you were just born ugly.” Fell said as he patted the man's back and stood up following Valo out. Fell was definitely a different man with his new partner, and with the teachings a new man entirely almost. Valo made the follow up comment on how it worked and Fell only addressed his former method. “I mean it works the same way as shock therapy, pain one way or the other. Though we should probably head to where they said.”
The two began to walk to the left side of the hills, Fell in toe with Valo leading. They sauntered their way around hoping to find the family as Fell asked a question. “So just out of curiosity, what would you have done if they all decided to attack? Think we could have taken them all?” Fell asked with a smirk.

As Valo was on his way out, he heard Fell speak to the thug who laid on the floor groaning in pain. He noticed Fell's banter had gone from nonexistent to actually pretty witty. Even made Valo chuckle as he walked out the inn, he spun around and lightly started to jab Fell on his arm. "Look at you with the witty banter! And even helping the poor guy out telling him to apply some heat! Don't be getting to soft on me now." Valo said with a laugh.
But Valo had to think maybe he was getting to soft, before becoming a magic knight he would have definitely just broke his arm for touching him. But being a merciful magic knight especially to some thugs like that was most likely the best way to handle such situations. Valo started to walk on ahead when he heard Fell mention shock therapy could have worked as well, he was most likely right about that. "Alright so next time you interrogate the thugs with your shock therapy. No! Actually better yet let's use some those shadow tricks you got, you mentioned you it last time and I haven't seen yet." Valo said remembering when he first met Fell he mentioned he could mess with people using their shadows. "And we'll see just how fast you can get some info, when we need it." Valo said with a light laugh.
They started to proceed up the snowy hills, the storm for the most part had started to calm down luckily for them. It was just the matter of stepping through all the snow piling up. While the storm wasn't as harsh, it was still snowing quite a bit. Valo grew up in rather warm weather, so cold weather was never his thing especially for long periods of time. Plus he thrived in heat and hot weather considering his magical element so he was never a fan of cold temperature. But this mission had to get done no matter what, so Valo didn't complain about it much. And if got to bad he could always just use his flames to keep warm.
"I would have lit all their asses up! With the both of us they stood no chance!" Valo said in response to Fell's question. Valo was a very confident individual but he also wasn't dumb. He could sense none of the few thugs could use magic, and the ones that did weren't able to beat either him or Fell in a fight. Even if by the off chance he was wrong, sometimes you just have to wing it.
As they went further into the snowy hills, howls from the wolves could heard. The briefing did mention white wolves made the hills their home especially when it snowed. The howls did cause for some concern, not that they posed to much of a threat to Valo or Fell but they could pose a threat to the tourists.
"Fell we should hurry, and keep our senses open for the lost tourists. I get the feeling we could be pretty close-" Valo started to say but he dropped his sentence when he sensed and then saw two white wolves slowing making their way towards the two young magic knights on their right. The wolves were bigger and taller than your typical wolf, overall they looked more vicious and tougher as well. Their extra sharp fangs showed as they snarled making their way closer and closer. But soon after that almost as if the wolves planned it, two more wolves showed up on their left just as dangerous looking. "Welp you get two and I get two looks like." Valo said before dashing towards the white wolves on their right.
Fell followed the man, responding to him about the way he was acting in the bar and his idea on getting information. “Too be honest, the shadow one is more for fear and entertainment that information or torture.” Fell thought, the best he could do as far as getting information was probably more reliant on the lightning, though maybe watching a shadow enter your body and cause you immense pain was possible and a solid way to gain information. If Fell could control it enough to manage to do so without killing someone. “And dont worry, Softness is something I was never taught.”
The two had made their way pretty far into the snowy hills when the howls started, the storm itself wasn't too bad, having mostly been the same since they had started up the hill in the first place. Fell himself was perfectly content with the storm at the moment, every once in awhile he would crackle some lightning in his fingers and watch it or play with his shadow and make it dance around, but he sort of just walked behind Valo enjoying the storm somehow and letting him take lead on actually doing the mission. But the howls of the wolves that were mentioned to be possibly found around this area took Fell out of his happy go lucky state and into a much more aware state, making sure the two wouldnt be snuck up on.
Of course just as Valo started talking about how close he thought the pair was to the area the tourists were supposed to be was when the wolves popped out. “Way to jinx it asshole, but as you wish. Have fun with that fire in the snow.” Fell joked with the man, he knew full well Valo would have been capable enough without the magic either way, but would most likely still be fairly easily able to use it anyway. Fell watched as the man dashed off to the two on the right, trusting his partner Fell dropped his stature slightly calming down and relaxing after his state of awareness. Turning to the other two Fell took almost the exact opposite approach of his partner. Instead Fell just murmured “Guess I get you two.” Watching as the wolves looked at Valo for a brief second before seemingly agreeing that they would charge Fell. Who loved the whole interaction.
The two wolves charged at Fell, much faster than any of the simple bandits Fell had fought just yet. But at the same time the boy had Sparred with Valo, and he was quick with his magic so it was in the end a normal sparring session for Fell. The two wolves though sadly had more teamwork than even the bandits had, and the snow storm sort of limited Fell, afterall in the middle of the snowstorm the only shadows were of the creatures and Fell. Nonetheless It didn't stop Fell from waiting for the wolves to get close enough to him to use it anyway. Just inside 15 meters, the wolves would approach in a second. This was when Fell struck. Using his shadow magic he manipulated his own shadow to stab out at the two wolves just as they lunged in the air at him, the two wolves getting hit mid air unable to dodge as they made their move only to realize their mistake. The two wolves taking a shadow stab to the body got put to the ground, quickly trying to recover. But these weren't bandits, and Fell didn't need to show any mercy to the wild beasts. The lightning crackling in his eyes, through his arms and into his hands as he held them out one at each beast. Watching lightning shoot from each hand and directly into the beasts body as they both were volted with the magic. The two wolves went limp quickly, a bead of sweat dropping from Fell’s head. The fight would seem fairly simple to any watcher, but in the end the two spells alone costed over a third of the boys total mana, and it was his limit for such a quick succession of spells.
Fell was happy his wolves seemed to be out rather quickly, laying in the snow for now they seemed out for the count, and Fell looked over to ensure his partners success.

"Haha thats my bad!" Valo shouted back to Fell in response to his comment about Valo jinxing the arrival of the white wolves. He was still in the middle of his dash, towards the white wolves. But in a near instant he activated his spell Flare Accel, his grimoire flashed a red color to show the activation. The trail path he left behind started to to have small embers appears as his speed increased significantly. Having his speed increased was all he deemed necessary for a threat such as this, of course a misstep on his part would lead to dangerous situations. But he was more than confident that this encounter would be a breeze for him and his partner.
The wolves started to run towards as well, he had one to the right of him and the other to the left. The wolf on the right was further ahead by quite a bit and once it reached a suitable distance it went in for a pounce. But Valo was just much to quick, he waited till the last second and did a spin avoid the wolf's pounce attack. After spinning Valo landed a strong strike with his elbow against the wolves rib cage, he felt some cracks but he knew while it was hurt it wasn't enough to take it down for good. The wolf slammed against a tree causing more damage, but from the looks of it it still had intentions to fight. Since this all was one swift motion, Valo never lost momentum he continued his dash forward just stay mobile and keep the other wolf on its toes. It wasn't fast enough but the wolf on the left came rushing in with a pounce of it's own, Valo just being faster landed a solid uppercut against the wolves jaw probably breaking something. It landed on the ground in pain, but still trying to attack. Valo sighed
"Well you guys leave me no choice then." Valo raised his leg up and dropped it down fast, performing an axe kick on the wolf silencing it for good. Valo didn't forget about the other wolf though, it wasn't able to run as fast but still made an effort. From the looks of it's face it wasn't going to give up, eyes blind with rage. It started another run towards Valo, which he was most aware of. Deciding to just put the beast out of it's misery Valo just held up his index finger, his grimoire flashed a red and orange color for a brief second. He was going to use a new spell he was working on, something nice and simple not to flashy. His index finger pointed at the beast, in an instant a thin red and orange beam made of fire and heat shot from his finger piercing the white wolf putting it down.
If Valo were to be honest, he would have preferred to not have killed these wolves, but they weren't your average wolves. They were going to continue attacking anything they deemed as food until they couldn't move anymore. The mana in their blood made them vicious and near mindless beasts. Valo turned towards Fell jus to see how he was holding up, and caught him finishing up just about the same time. Valo held out a thumbs up, flashing a big smile to indicate everything was good. But a few moments after that they would hear some shouts.
"Help! Help! We heard some noise! Is there anyone out there!" the shouts were close, but covered by something. Valo started to focus and quickly went up further in the hills following the shouts, he knew his partner would follow. "Keep yelling! Were close by!" Valo shouted back.
"Were over here! Caved in by lots of snow!" they continued to shout. Eventually they would find a huge pile of ice and snow, reaching about eight feet in height. It was clear the shouts were coming from behind all this snow and ice. Valo placed both his hands against the pile of snow. "You guys should stand back!" Valo yelled at the tourists. He was going to melt all the snow and ice to make an entrance and he didn't want them to get burned in the process. After a few moments Valo started to melt the snow with the heat coming from his hands, it only took a few seconds but the entrance to the cave they were trapped in was revealed. It was two men and young women just like the guy said back in the inn.

Fell was happy when he looked over and saw his partner finishing the wolves in the timeframe as he did. The man had definitely done a little more and put more effort considering he was fairly far ahead of Fell, though he had ran into them after all Fell more just waiting for them to get to him. Nonetheless the wolves were now dead and all was good for now. Though it was clearly Valo heard something, and as Fell heard Valo shout back he realized that Valo had heard the people. Lucky enough Valo could hear them, but Fell being further away in the storm didn't have the same opportunity that Valo did to hear them. Fell caught up to the man and followed him as Valo followed the voice and figured out where the group was.
As the duo approached Fell was relieved to know they had found the group of people, but annoyed there was an eight foot block of ice and snow blocking the way. Valo was quick to act though using his fire to melt it all away and Fell joined him. After all Lightning was extremely hot, controlling the lightning just enough that it cloaked his hands but didn't transfer throughout the ice and only crackled over the surface and the two was able to quickly make work of the ice. As the ice disappeared away Fell realized just how warm everything had gotten, the snow storm was still raging outside yet the duo was acting as if it was any other day in the town. This wasnt a problem for the duo, but the group had been trapped here for awhile and would probably be much less fortunate than the two.
Fell could only circulate the lightning through himself to warm him, he couldn't do it to others if it was possible at all. And it definitely wasn't worth the risk. Valo on the other hand could warm his hands up and hold them, or even make a fire of some sort, basically simply do more than Fell could. As the two stepped into the are of the group Fell bowed slightly introducing himself. “I am Fell, this is Valo.” The boy said motioning to his partner. “We were sent to help you.” Fell said with a reassuring smile to the group of people. Looking back seriously at Valo “You should try and warm them up, they are probably freezing, we can head out after. I cant imagine those wolves were the only ones and the quicker we can leave the less likely we are to run into more.” Fell said, he made sure to say the wolves part quiter than the rest so that only Valo could hear not wanting to scare the party.
In the end Fell knew very well the two could take on four more wolves, that wasn't the issue. The issue was making sure the wolves didn't pick off the weak as Fell had learned was the nature of a wolf pack. Pick on the smallest for the easiest catch, in this case it meant not the duo, and the other four probably couldn't handle a wolf all together, let alone two or more. Fell muttered to Valo later as the duo would begin to leave. “Hey, I think if we run into more wolves the best idea would be for you to dash off and try to keep some far away from the people, I can stay back and make sure any stragglers don't get the part. Some of the wolves might target them.”
Fell cared for the group, but stayed silent before leaving, letting Valo do anymore talking. Instead Fell sat down and watched the outside, playing with lightning and his shadow as he let the lightning crackle around and his shadow making different pictures in the snow. It was his entertainment but he also made sure to keep an eye out for the wolves in the area, once the party was warmed up the six would be leaving, and Fell was hard pressed to imagine a trip back down with no wolves.

Valo quickly scanned the cave to make sure there was no lingering threats about, as Fell introduced them. Valo nodded towards the group of tourists upon hearing Fell say his name. But you could tell his attention was still focused on looking around the cave. This distraction did lead Valo to forget about warming the trapped tourists up, they were probably very cold. He noticed their attempts to start a campfire were unsuccessful, the branches of wood I the center of cave was unlit. Valo with a snap of fingers sent a small ember that landed right on top of the wood instantly lighting a campfire that would keep the tourists warm. The three of them ran towards the campfire quickly warming themselves up. "Thank You!" they said finally starting to feel the warmth of fire again.
Valo went to go sit by Fell as they warmed up and waited for the right time to lead back to town. He heard Fell's suggestion and had no complaints with it. "I agree thats a solid plan. If we run into anymore I'll distract as many as I can and lead them away. Their lives come first. Besides I'm sure we could handle a few more wolves while protecting them anyways. We got this." Valo said with reassurance.
Valo watched as Fell messed around with the shadows making different shapes and images. It reminded him of when he would spend time with his old gang in Kikka. Using anything they could find or steal to make the time go by faster. Valo turned towards the tourists after while starting small conversation with them, just to get to know them. Their names were Dana, Thul, and Gustaf. Just three friends who liked to travel and sight see, and ended up in the wrong situation at the wrong time. They were good people though and extremely grateful for Fell and Valo coming to their aid.
They would wait for the snow storm to ease up again, before deciding to move out. Valo eventually stood up when the snow started to slow. "Alright guys it's time to move out. You guys should stick close to Fell stay right behind him, he'll protect you guys no matter what." Valo said patting Fell's shoulder. "I'll be leading in the front, and just so you are aware. If anything does happen we got your backs, all we ask is that you trust us. Deal?" Valo said to the three.
"Deal!" all three said in unison.
After that the group would take off heading back into town.
Fell had heard his partner talking to the people after he created a fire for the trio before coming over to Fell as well. Still lost in his childish manipulation of shadows he almost didn't even hear Valo as he mentioned leaving, only when he heard snow being ruffled around by the boots of the individuals did he come to his senses and realize they were leaving. Fell caught pieces of the words Valo spoke basically just knowing that he was simply supposed to keep the group protected while Valo went ahead, basically just what the duo had discussed before.
Fell watched Valo leave the area and told the trio to wait just a few seconds longer, with the storm slowed down it was more comfortable than ever for the group to make their trek back down the hillside. Now just about 10 meters behind his partner Fell and the trio had began their hike, Fell not bothering to talk to the trio unlike Valo had done, he heard the group talking behind him but never really bothered to turn around and converse with them. After all now he was having to protect people, so there was no fooling around with his magic or making his time pass idling away with something, now he paid full attention to listening and looking for wolves. And he heard it in too long, the storm had just picked up almost as if the wolves had asked for the humans to have a harder time.
Fell heard a howl, and then a growl and snapped around. The snow storm picking up more and more Fell noticed the lack of vision and saw that he couldn't even see Valo anymore. But he sensed him, so he managed to follow him still. “You heard that too?” he yelled towards the mana he knew was his partner. It was this moment Fell heard another, no two much louder growls. “Huddle behind me you three” Fell said as he stopped speaking to the tourists he was protecting, off in the distance he assumed Valo was in about the same boat. Fell stood silently, waiting for the slightest motion or sound to react to. And he noticed it, out of the corner of his eye he saw the motion of a beast flying in the air towards one of the men. The guy himself would be horrified looking at the beast flying towards him, just for his own shadow to fly outwards directly into the beasts underbelly as Fell used his magic in time to stop the beast. Quickly Fell would jump towards the animal, kneeing it in the side sending it to the ground and landing on top, with a quick grab and turn with all the force Fell had he snapped the neck of the beast.
From the ground he saw the second, now dashing towards the girl of the three fell leapt to his feet diving out and pushing the girl out of the way. While she would grow extremely cold in the snow it was better than death by wolf. But Fell took the charge, the wolf meeting his arm as he used it to block the fangs from his chest as the beast pounced and landed on his chest. Fell used his other hand and pushed it into the beast where the heart was, his eyes crackling as lightning flowed into his arm and out into his hand directly into the beast’s heart. The voltage entering the beast as it flowed through, the beast now convulsing on top of the boy Fell was quick to snap a neck again as the best was helpless.
“Everyone alright?” Fell asked, helping up the lady as a little blood seeped through his shirt, shouting for Valo “Valo!?”

Valo walked ahead as they planned, just about ten meters out from the group. He felt secure with the plan and had no complaints. What it did require was that him and Fell trusted each other which Valo did. He trusted Fell to protect the tourists lives with his own. He knew Fell could have a moment again like he did back in their first mission, he was always aware of that. To be honest he didn't really understand it, the reason why was because Fell seemed liked such a good and innocent person. After hanging out with him for a while he didn't get the feeling of someone who just wanted to hurt people. So even if he did snap back into a similar state like he did back in Kikka Valo was sure it would be used for good instead of harm. With thoughts like that he gladly took the lead leaving Fell to defend the group.
Plus it wasn't like he was to far away, and couldn't sense them at all. If things were going to bad back there, Valo would be able to act quickly. The snow started to pick up but it didn't matter cause their was no turning around this time. Valo knew that keeping him in sight was must have been getting harder, so using his right he lit decent size flame in his hand so they would always have a light to follow. He didn't want to risk anyone getting lost in this storm. But after that they would hear a howl, and from Fell's question Valo confirmed he heard it too. Valo was now on guard from anything that would attack, he only had hopped that plan had work to split the danger and protect the tourists. Valo turned toward the group to see if he could spot what was happening, but he heard growls behind them that he had to deal with on his own.
Without wasting any time, he activated a new spell of his that he's been wanting to really test in battle. His grimoire flashed a red and orange color, as smoke started to rise from his hands and glow a feint red. Valo spoke the words of his new spell himself. "Netsu Zōka" meaning Thermal Increase. A spell that Valo was trying to develop in order to increase his already impressive strength to even greater heights while also utilizing a burning effect with his limbs as they make contact with the enemy. At it's current level it wasn't what Valo had in mind for a complete spell or technique but it was still in development and he had to get stronger in order to fully complete it.
Valo turned towards the beasts with a swinging right fist, just at the right time having his fists collide with the wolf's head. Leaving minor burn marks as his fist made contact. But the power behind the strike wasn't enough to completely take the beast, causing a minor annoyance for Valo. But at this time the second beast was rushing in towards Valo right in front of him and the wold he just landed a hit on. Valo applying a decent amount of force into his left leg, activating another spell one that was growing to be one of his signatures. He waited till the beast was just the right distance and kicked his left leg using a wide roundhouse kick. His kick unleashing an arc of red and orange fire that not only hit the wolf still hurt on the ground, killing it but it also hit the beast that was in the middle of a charge causing a direct hit. A trail of fire formed a line of embers in the ground melting the snow instantly. Valo wasted little time knowing he had reconnect with the group, he dashed forward and jumped up high in the air. His first spell still activated his red smoke colored right fist was in the air, Valo bringing it down on the wolf killing it upon impact. His aggression was noticeable with the power behind his movements, he wanted to get back to the group as quickly as possible now that his wolves were completely taken out he could do that.
He ran back towards the group, hearing Fell yell out his name. "I'm alright! I'm alright!" Valo shouted back as he started to come back into view, he saw the group was alright for the most part. Valo walked back closer, his free hand letting out another small ball of fire so everyone could see. With this though Valo noticed Fell's shirt had some light blood seeping through his shirt. "Fell your bleeding. Are you alright?" Valo asked Fell concerned for his injury.

Fell was grateful seeing his partner show back up through the snow storm. He had faith in the man of course, but there was always a sense of relief seeing a friend alive especially in this line of work. Fell heard the man's worry and looked down at his arm before moving it upwards. “Yeah I can still move it and such so it's not a big deal, the bleeding will stop eventually. Should probably hurry on down before we attract any more attention, especially with blood being around.” Fell said moving past the man and quickly telling them all to follow behind quickly. The snow storm itself had begun to seem like it was lessening, though in actuality the five people had just moved down more and as they got closer to the town the storm simply seemed to be not nearly as dangerous as before.
Fell was relieved seeing the lights of the town through the snow as they grew closer, knowing the mission would be close to an end once they found the trio a safe resting spot and Fell and Valo could leave off to their lives, which would most likely consist of saving more and more people. Though Fell was happy to do so, albeit he wouldn't mind taking out the bleeding aspect. He knew he needed to at some point probably have it checked out by someone just to make sure he didn't have any deep injuries. But at the moment he had ripped off his shirt and wrapped it around the cut and tying it off to slow down the bleeding and cover up any that still came. Arriving at town he replaced the piece of cloth with another, the area mostly done bleeding but the cloth having been rather bloodied was growing rather nasty. So Fell took his first chance to throw it away.
The boy was happy that the fight was over and he could return back, but yet he was sad. The weather had been nice, and if not for the tourists the boy could have enjoyed the weather and even the fights much more if they were not on a mission at the time. Fell made sure to place a stamp in his memory that he would need to return upon one of these really stormy days and travel through the area. It would be nice and pleasant to walk around and enjoy the feeling, and maybe even get some fights in here or there just because. Something about the difference of snow here and the animals that were evolved to live within intrigued Fell much more than it probably should have, though that's the cause of a Sheltered life he assumed. As the five people actually entered the town and left the hill Fell spoke to his partner, intent as per usual to let the man take the lead.
“We should probably try to get them to the nearest inn and then head on our way, probably best not to attract too much attention especially with them with us and my arm like this. I am sure we can take on a tavern of drunks. I would really rather not have to kill anyone though. I'm not sure how much I would be willing to hold back with my arm in pain.” He would say, mostly muttering only so he could hear and the trio of people wouldn't freak out at any of the words. In all honesty while Fell wasn't complaining about the wound, it had begun to hurt and ache slightly, and while he knew it wasn't lethal by any means, and in the end wasn't unbearable for the boy. Pain was pain and was always unpleasant.

Valo was relieved when Fell said he was alright, and he was more focused on getting back to town than anything else. Valo agreed "Alright don't go bleeding out on me." Valo joked. He trusted Fell to admit if he was hurt real bad, plus he knew it would take more than a few wolves to even really hurt Fell bad. He probably just got the wound going out his way to protect the tourists, it said a lot about his character Valo thought. Fell walked first to push on and finish the mission, Valo smirked as the five continued on.
Valo had used his flames to provide more light for the group, while the snow was clearing for the most part it still didn't hurt to have some extra light around. Eventually they started to see the lights coming from the town. The mission was just about a success and Valo was happy to be out of all that snow and really cold winds. Actually Valo couldn't wait to leave this town and go back to the warmer weather that he was used to. Valo heard Fell's suggestion, but before he could act the three towards saw someone they knew waiting for them. Valo looked a bit confused.
"Huh? They knew someone here the whole time? I probably didn't have to mess up that guys shoulder earlier." Valo chuckled to himself.
"Thank You guys so much!!" The three shouted back to Fell and Valo. Valo waved back in response.
"Welp that takes care of that. Another job finished. We don't even have to go back into that inn and beat up more people huh Fell." Valo said wasting no time to walk out of this place.
Fell was grateful when the group had seemingly seen someone they had known, though was confused why this man had been nowhere in existence when Valo and him had been traveling around looking for information. Nonetheless they had finished their mission now, and even though Valo’s comment had shown some worry, Fell’s bleeding would stop shortly after the three had left the duo. Listening to Valo Fell replied, rather happy they didn't have too. “Yeah, nice to not have to ruin peoples lives. They really just need to get smaller egos, or bigger magic I guess.” Fell said as the two left the inn, maybe they would go find another mission soon, but first Fell felt like getting a little magic used on his arm. After all he didn't wanna risk it scaring at all, he rather liked the skin he had.
