Valo's attacks had hit their mark, but the aura mage seemed slightly surprised by this. For one since his element had evolved he no longer had access to lower rank spells at least right now. That was something he didn't notice until now, but secondly he still expected Sol to have a counter of some sort. "Hmmmm." Valo hummed as he was in thought. The blood rain coming down had now pretty much soaked his hair and clothes but he didn't mind that at all.
Sol was on the offensive again aiming to ensnare Valo in what looked like another restraining spell, it was a good strategy. But Valo had a couple of counters in mind, he just had to decided which one. Valo wasn't going to let Sol get at hit in easily, no he was going to make him earn in through hard work. The aura mage took a deep breath in activating one of his spells and let it out that air through his mouth. Specs of blue flame like aura started to rise from his skin. With a spell coming at him from the front and new golem coming at him from the back, he needed an attack that would solve both problems. The blue sun breathing method not only gave him another boost in his speed, but it also gave him some impressive offensive output. At just the right moment when Sol's restraining spell was about to reach him Valo stomped the ground with his right foot releasing a area explosion of energy but only one meter around him, to avoid unnecessary destruction in the area. He could have made the spell widen to a much larger area, but over the time Valo has learned how important it was to practice restraint.
As for the golem coming behind him, Valo knew of it's exact location thanks to his ki training and completely out sped it. The Aura mage ducked its grab landed an elbow strike releasing another one meter explosion of energy that would be enough to destroy it. Unless Sol had a trick up his sleeve.
"You have really good strategies! But remember the opponent will most likely have ways to counter, you need to be able to counter that counter. Now what is your plan against golems of my own." Valo said with a smile and clap then pressing his knuckles together, summoning three of his Budō golems blue flamed warriors that stood directly in front of Valo. Sol's rain did hamper their speed a little but they were still quite quick. The next moment they started running towards Sol at full speed.
Valo was tempted to keep the offense going but he stopped there for now. The aura mage was incredibly powerful especially when it came to offense, but this didn't mean he was completely absent of defensive strategies. He had to have them to make sure his offensive maneuvers hit their target. In his mind it was just a matter of using that offensive as a defense.
Valo was riding on his large azure colored dragon golem as it flew threw the air. His eyes were closed and a small smile was on his face, he was letting the sun beams hit his face and the wind blow through his hair. He took a deep breath in and let it out, it had been a long time since he felt such peace of mind. Reminding him of his early days as a magic knight, when he was trying to figure out how to get his foot off the ground.
The past few months nearly a year had been nothing but sad news and tragic events, and even more concerns that he had face. But he was not getting through most of them, his magic was coming back though in a new element he was getting more and more of a grasp on it everyday. So much so that he actually felt stronger than he was before. Hinota was getting her memory back and improving her condition more and more. Of course things weren't all rainbows and sunshine, the daemon threat was till very real and other concerns around the world. To say there was an immense amount of pressure on the backs of the royal knights would be selling it short. And Valo never thought he would feeling this kind of pressure, but if he was being honest with himself he was.
His training was getting more and more intense everyday, as he was pushing his body to it's limit trying to prepare for the Daemon threat. Even now as he was hurting, he wouldn't allow himself to slow down. But training today was going to be allot less taxing, he was going to finish mastering his ki sensory while also teaching it too Hinota and a potential new friend Amaya.
