Watching Cyrus get blasted back by the same creature even after erecting a defensive spell put things into perspective. He gritted his teeth as he shook off all of the damage, his mana skin had been pierced and a small burn mark now decorated his chest, over the scar he held from Hinota. ”What is it with you and training with your juniors that always ends with you being injured?” Zaven did not respond with words, and instead saw Cyrus stand up and give him orders...a surprise from the young Vice Captain for sure as Zaven even could not contain his own smile as Cyrus began to perform the next stage of spiritual awakening. ”Partial...spirit...You took a step further than me this day it seems, good. That only makes me want to become even stronger.” Zaven says as the shadow mana in his body reacts to the newfound mana rising in the area. His own reach for power made him envy Cyrus for a moment as he summoned a golem to fight for him and when the Vice Captain and the creature collided it was like a great cosmic collision as the air popped and a concussive force ripped through the air. It reached Zaven just as he had found his last bit of mana finally ready for activation. When Cyrus fell back to their original position and cast another spell onto him, the sap cloak even made his eyes shine with regal splendor as he released his mana as his Grimoire activated with the magic spell being called upon. ”Rest for a moment my brother, I will finish this. EREBUS COME FORTH!” He called upon the god of shadows, the elemental incarnate of the shadows materialized above them, looking like a great, malevolent force and he pointed at the lightning creature before stating what he wanted done. ”Remove this from the earth GO!” He said as he outstretched his right hand towards the creature that looked like it was powering up for a great blast.

The Elemental Incarnate golem charged forth, bringing up its cloaked arms before the creature as it was finally fired upon, the explosion shook the earth they all stood on for a moment as the lighting was blinding as rays of electric death shot off in different directions as it collided with the golem. Erebus however hurt it was, did not stop its charge and as the creature it was heading towards saw this, it tried to pour more power, but it was too little too late as Erebus engulfed the creature. There was a screech before a thunderous sound broke the air again...Erebus was smoking as it lifted from the location of the creature, the golem had destroyed the creature and took all of its power for its own as if an offering was made. Hraban was inside of Zaven’s head and spoke as the Golem looked toward the Golden Dawn leaders. ”This was a great victory for us, and even more so for you Zaven...you have a new mountain to climb now...a new goal to reach and the problems you have had now can be pushed past…” Zaven cut him off as he felt a great deal of energy leave his body suddenly, it was then that Zaven noticed something, a jolt shot up his body as he looked down at the left side of his body, now a smoldering mess...one of those rays had indeed gotten through and managed to catch him off guard….piercing his mana skin and now leaving him there with a wound that was not unlike his previous curse. He fell to one knee, yet held in his voice as he did not want to yell. He canceled the Erebus summon and breathed heavily as he focused all of his mana to that specific point of his body, trying to shield himself so that he could get to a healer, not even Cyrus’s sap cloak was able to hold back the damaging effects of the spell. He took as much of the healing spell as he could before standing back up.

”Thank you for your help Cyrus, I think that even without the little interruption we just had...today was ultimately a good day to get some training done. Now if you will excuse me, I think I need to find a place to res…” He did not finish as he fell face first into the muddied earth now, the strike the creature had given him had begun to spread through his body, creating electrical burns as it moved up through his body towards that scar, it was up to Cyrus to get him to safety...if he could.
