Rosa sighed tiredly, her eyes wandering over the landscapes that showed up before her. Instead of the large volcanoes and their heat, and then mountains, coolness and the forests, it all seemed to blur into one as her mind wandered. It was tiring, this, their job. In hindsight, she loved being a magic knight. She loved her kingdom. She loved the essence of magic and learning all about the new elements and spells…She also found herself loving a few people in particular. [break][break]
A part of her was happy that Zaven accepted the apple and turned to look at him when he sat down besides her. They were both tired. His body was surely much better off than hers was, but she did not have his stamina or experience in combat. She was not capable of handling enemies that strong. Rosalia needed more training…Perhaps with Zaven himself or Malcolm or Lydia…if they patched things up. The pink-haired Vice Captain and her were on a strenuous line since the last time they saw each other in Atlantis. Perhaps Rosalia should finally bury the hatchet. They saw their duties and their oath differently, that was all. [break][break]

“Mario sounds sweet…we must definetly stop by then. I could definetly enjoy some pampering. Maybe he could even find a massage for you of some kind…or let me kiss you after I’m all cleaned up.” She let herself chuckle and shake her head. The Blake tended to relax in her arms, she’d noticed as much. It was something she pondered on sometimes. He was a tense individual, much tenser than she ever expected a captain to ever be after meeting Malcolm. [break][break]

When her friend opened up to her after taking a seat beside her, she listened to him carefully. Her ruby eyes regarded his pretty face, his chiselled jaw, his luscious hair…there was a small smudge of soot on his neck that she moved a hand over to remove. She was probably much more of a mess than he was. Gods, she was afraid to look into the mirror… [break][break]

“Well you definitely need to stop regarding yourself as a weapon. You truly do become cold and emotionless sometimes when we fight. It worries me.” Rosalia admitted as she sat back and watched him. Yes, she could remember the Eldritch home and the Hollow Nest like they were yesterday. She’d conquered him both with him, and couldn’t manage without… [break][break]

“You are probably one of the best human beings I know. You’re kind and caring, you’re always ready to help someone in need and you are loyal to a fault. You take things too seriously sometimes. The kingdom is…well, you don’t need to shoulder all of the problems of Clover as if they are your own. We’re allowed to…break some rules.” Her eyes wandered off as her mind slipped off to Malcolm. Sometimes they might even be lucky enough to get off without consequences even. The world was a weird place. Her ruby hues moved back to the man besides her and she placed a hand over one of his, giving it a squeeze. [break][break]

“There is no-one like you and you, sir, need a fucking break just as much as I do. We could let Ardere or Lydia take care of the daemons for once. Taking a break doesn’t make you any less of a man…and letting people into your heart doesn’t either.” She gave him a wink. A part of her wondered if there was a lady in his life already…He’d never mentioned her, and he was still letting her into his bed, so she assumed that all was well in the world of casual sex with your best friend. When Zaven finally agreed to rest a bit, a large grin would cover Rosalia’s slightly chapped lips. She would watch him for a bit before falling into her own thoughts. She hoped the Bulls were well, she hadn’t seen them in nearly two weeks after this monstrous tour of the forsaken region. There were only so many missions her constitution could handle without a short break. Zaven made it better, of course, work had more flavour, success tasted sweeter when he was around. Closing her eyes gently, Rosa relaxed a little, thinking back to the Glaciers. [break][break]
