Sol yawned as he walked thru the streets of the Noble Region of Clover, he had left the magic knight squad he had been a part of due to how the members had been treating him and an altercation with another one on a mission which had constantly rubbed him the wrong way. The man had dealt with people giving him bad looks and nasty words and he was getting over that since it had been happening since he gained his magic but when a whole squad made him feel like an outsider he knew that wasent the place for him. Since then he had left and now he was currently just a civilian and was hoping to get into a better magic knight squad that was less judgmental then the Silver Eagles. A recent editon to his person was a katana strapped to his side it was simple but elegant with a solid black sheath and was wrapped with dark blue fabric with a round bronze guard on it that had magic seals etched into it.
The reason for this addition was the fact that Sol had been jabbed by another member on a mission for not having any way to attack and so he had to rely on his ungrateful partner to protect him, it was more then enough to give Sol the motivation to get a weapon just so he had a backup incase he was by himself. “I need to find another squad to join but the question is which one will work since I don’t want to go back to Silver Eagles if I did I could never live it down” he said to himself as he headed towards a park what had a small forest of trees in it. The red eyed civilian glanced around before he would head into the small patch of trees before he found one he had been using before, the tree showed visible signs of being struck with deep gashes in it. Stopping a bit away from it Sol settled into a stance and using his thumb he pushed his blade slightly out of the sheath before he took a deep breath to focus himself and then he stuck, it was fast but a trained mages eyes could see to anyone else they would just hear a click as another gash appeared on the wood but Sol had beads of sweat dripping from his forehead. “This isn’t easy at all but I need to get this speed down if I want to catch enemies off guard” he muttered to himself as he wiped the sweat away.

The Noble Region. Valo's eye twitched just being around this place he was so uncomfortable. The Green Mantis knight was either out on the field completing missions, fighting through dungeons or training back at the Green Mantis base in the Forsaken Region. He rarely ever had reason to come to the Noble Region and he often tried to avoid it when he could. But with his new friend Hinota being from Golden Dawn he was left with no choice when he wanted to pay her a visit.
To him he preferred the freedom in the air when traveling through the Forsaken Region, the mysterious aura, the unknown that could happen. The history that it had and also told, the Green Mantis base was next to a giant demon skull to the fire mage there was nothing cooler then that. But this place all it had was fancy castles and buildings, with fancy people and stuck up personalities. This place just wasn't his vibe at all, he wanted to leave but his spirit Agneya insisted they stayed a little bit to walk around the town and it's parks. Agneya was young in terms of spirit age, while she has quite a bit she hasn't seen a lot.
The pair was walking through a park at her request. "Ooooohhhh the trees here are so much nicer than the ones back home." she said flying towards one admiring it. Valo rolled his eyes in annoyance. "Agneya they're just trees, there is probably no difference between these trees and the ones back at base." he said gesturing towards one. "No no I can tell. The trees back home are much creepier looking not as friendly looking. These trees look friendly."
Valo made a annoyed face and started to walk away leaving the spirit to admire the friendly trees. He noticed something or rather someone from the corner of his eye a tall man positioning himself and drawing his blade to slice a tree. The young man looked to be around Valo's age but he was even taller than Valo who secretly took some pride in his height. Nevertheless he walked over to the young man with his hands in his pockets he wasn't wearing his green mantis mantle today, but he did have the mantis badge clipped on his jacket. He watched the young man's form and saw his speed.
He was quick with the draw most likely only a trained eye would notice the blade, Valo himself wasn't much a swordsman but he knew his way around a sword. "Your good, your fast too. But you could probably be faster." Valo said suddenly from the young man's left side. His approach was casual and calm it was clear the fire mage was no threat to him at all, his clothing was casual as well. There could have been a chance this swordsman may have recognized Valo do to his fame, but Valo doubted it he wasn't really that famous yet at least he thought so. "I can tell your focused. But don't just focus on the sword itself, get me?" the fire mage asked him.
It was clear Valo took an interest in the man's training session, but if he wanted nothing to do with the fire mage. Valo would have no issue leaving and going on about his own business.

Sol was about to go for another slash at the tree before he heard a voice call out to him and he blinked before he slid out of his stance and relaxed as he turned to see someone had approached him.glancing at the new person subtly Sol noticed he was tall but not as tall as him and as opposed to Sols ruby red slitted eyes the man had eyes that were a soft blue which was a sharp contrast. The noble also noticed that he had on rather normal clothes and then his eyes caught something important, the badge of a magic knight squad in particular the Green Mantis squad. Sol had never met anyone from that squad so it was a bit of a surprise.”if not the sword is it the motion or perhaps my stance is off?” he asked as he decided to take a small break from sword practice thinking that it might help him to rest for a few minutes before starting up again. Realizing he hadn’t introduced himself Sol bowed slightly to be respectful before he spoke.”I should introduce myself Im Sol Shinryu of the Shinryu family a pleasure to meet you” he said politely.
After introductions were out of the way and they knew each others names Sol decided to voice the question that was on his mind.” So what brings you here to the noble region? From what I remember before I left the Silver Eagles you guys are based out in Hage so it’s a bit of a trip” he asked curiously.while Sol knew that magic knight squads were not bound to a single region but with some it was a surprise when some were here in the region of nobles. In his head Sol was doing his best to recall what he knew of the squad, from what he remembered the Green mantis were not as renowned as the Golden Dawn or Crimson Lions but there were no less formidable in fact it might be worse to face a green mantis since he heard they had rather fearsome fighters with tricky magics and abilitys. ‘I wonder how the function as a whole perhaps asking would give me a clearer picture’ he mused internally, he would ask the question in a bit since bombarding a complete stranger with questions didn’t seem right at this time. Sol also wondered why he was interested in his training but he wouldn’t turn down the chance to get some insight into what he needed to work on and make himself stronger, Not only that it would also give him a chance to make a connection in another magic knight squad which might help in the future.

"The motion of the body." Valo responded to So's first question, gesturing to his tall frame. While Valo wasn't a swordsman that was definitely more of Han's expertise. The fire mage was an excellent physical combatant he just preferred to his use own body as the weapon. He knew his way around most weapons including swords so maybe he could help the young man out a little.
"Your stance is great! Oh you can call me Valo, nice to meet you Sol of the Shinryu family. I don't hail from a particular family it's just me." Valo said with a light chuckle. This is how most interactions went for him, there was lots of noble families in Clover. And even though the fire mage did technically come from one, or what used to be of one. And he was learning more and more about his family thanks to the sudden meeting of his twin sister Aura. But he still preferred to just be known as a commoner, noble families, noble titles all that stuff was to messy for him. He would leave that kind of stuff to his sister.
"The Shinryu...I think Ive heard of that family before. Oh I was visiting a friend of mine. A member of the Golden Dawn." He answered him, then Valo moved in as to whisper something to Sol. "Between you and me I can't stand this noble region. So many people are so uptight and full of themselves around here. Hage is a much cooler place, there's a awesome giant demon skull." he said in a more quiet kind of tone, he was obviously joking but there was some truth to his words. Hinota being the only real person who was born and raised in the noble region that he liked.
"But you left the Silver Eagles? Why is that? Aren't they supposed to be one of the best squads to be in. Kind of odd someone like yourself would just up and leave the place." Valo asked him with genuine interest. Just some quick thoughts flashed in Valo's mind. He wasn't the leader of the Green Mantis at least not yet, but this man could prove to be potential new member. The overall foundation of Green Mantis was changing even it that change was happening rather slowly. There squad strength was becoming more and more respected and feared, rather then them just being looked at as the squad that houses criminals.

As Valo mentioned that it was the motion of his body as he drew that was slowing him down the young noble thought back on his movements and wondered if perhaps he was over extending his slash when he drew and that was what was causing him to lag a bit.”I see ill have to adjust it thank you Valo” he said as he was now able to put a name to the face of the person he just met. Sol nodded as he heard Valo mention that he might have heard of the family and that he had a friend here as well. “the Shinryu are a lesser house but they do have a bit of sway im a bit of an oddball in the family honestly” he explained As the Green Mantis approached and whispered that he truthfully didn’t like this region much due to how most nobles acted while the outer region like hage were more interesting with a demon skull being brought up as an example.
At that Sol chuckled a bit since what he said was rather true nobles tended to act a bit high and mighty he was no exception to that but he tried to get along with people if he could.”That’s rather true about most here but it is the noble region so it does come with the territory not all nobles are bad but it’s a matter of knowing which are which” he explained since he did know he tended to follow the rules and he could be uptight but at the same time he wasn’t against forming bonds and understanding others but there were some limits. As Valo questioned why he would leave the Silver Eagles since they were a very sought after squad and it seemed odd that someone like him would just up and leave Sol sighed a bit before he spoke.”True most nobles would love to be in that squad like I mentioned before im a bit of an odd duck so to speak. Im the only member of my family to have the eyes I have no other member of my family has ever had them” he explained gesturing to his red slitted eyes before he continued.”Its also the fact that one of my magic elements is on the macabre side since its Blood and most nobles don’t like it, they look at me like im a bad luck charm and honestly it’s a bit hard to form bonds in a squad that treats you coldly” he finished.
While the young noble didn’t care what others thought of him now since he had come to terms with himself it was that issue of the squad being cold and cautious of him that had made him leave, if he couldn’t form bonds and have people that could watch his back then why remain there. In Sols mind it was better to leave and try to find a squad that could be better suited for him. “So if I can ask whats Green Mantis like I never got around to looking at the other squads while I was still in one so I don’t know much” he asked.

Valo leaned on a nearby tree while talking to Sol, crossing his arms listening to him speak. "Thats true, thats true. It's just odd I noticed some nobles get all angry about the weirdest things." Valo said thinking about some nobles he has met so far. Noble families tended to get all judgmental about families and traditions, things having to remain the same. To him born a commoner it was weird and odd.
Sol then explained he was the only person in his family to red eyes, which made him a sort of odd duckling. In Valo's point of view that wasn't such a big deal, family was family it didn't really matter the color of ones eyes. But for Sol it was deeper than that, he used the magic element of blood which for noble families it was a bit of a taboo. But Valo felt the same way about this, who cares for ones magic element? At the end of the day magic was magic stemming from the individual themselves. But apparently this was a big deal for Sol's family enough for it to treat him coldly and cast him out of the Silver Eagles squad. From the way it sounds the silver eagles squad wasn't really the best squad to be in. "Errr that sounds rough. But that what I mean, nobles get caught up in all the wrong things. None of that stuff should matter at the end of the day."
Sol then asked how the Green Mantis squad was he probably trying to see how it compared to Silver Eagles. "Well as you probably heard Green Mantis is known for recruiting former criminals and thugs. People with a more troubled history that want to reform and do better for Clover. While some see this a deterrent and a negative, it works...it works really well." Valo spoke with a sense of pride, he was proud to be part of Green Mantis and the squad it had potential to become.
"The smartest person I ever knew said this. Green Mantis is the squad for second chances..." he quoted the late Nanami, the little girl that meant the world to him. "There is no senseless judgement there. No stupid noble rules. Just determined people looking for redemption and to prove themselves." Valo stopped himself before he started to sound to preachy, he wasn't the type to preach and give speeches.
Rubbing his chin and thinking for a moment, he would ask Sol a simple question. "Do you wanna go see it?" he asked referring to the Green Mantis base.

Sol nodded at Valos words about how some familys got so strict about the weirdest things to which the blood mage could only shrug since it was a bit hard to explain to someone how rules worked for nobles, sometimes it was rules from the families homeland or perhaps it was set up since the families founding no matter the case it was always complicated. As he finished his explanation of his reasons for leaving the Silver Eagles Valo once again mentioned that was what he meant when he said that nobles got caught up and focused on the wrong things with none of that mattering at the end of the day. “its true it shouldn’t matter but sadly with noble blood it does Iv gotten used to the looks and the words whispered around me but when it comes to being in a squad trust is important and its tough when none of your squadmates trust you enough” he explained
As the Mantis then explained what Green Mantis was like Sol listened with a curios look on his face, while the criminal and troubled people were a bit of a surprise to learn about the blood mage couldn’t deny that giving a second chance was something that sounded like a breath of fresh air, “I don’t think its really negative I mean as far as what I have heard about other squads the Black Bull have the worst reputation no offense to them and all I want is to find a squad where I can get stronger” he said as he thought back to his excursion in kikka. When he was asked if he wanted to see the Green Mantis base Sols was rather stunned at the straightforward question after a moment though he nodded.” I would like that from what you have told me so far you have definitely peaked my interest in the squad” he said with a small smirk
After a few moment Sol decided to ask a question that he had only asked very few people.”Hey Valo by chance were you in Kikka a little while back during the effort to reclaim the town?” he asked wondering if he was one who fought the demons as well. the Blood mage still had some lingering trauma from that day and shadows tended to make him jumpy since he had been submerged in them for god knows how long with beasts just out of sight ready to attack. It was an event that he no doubt would need some therapy for in the future.

Valo listened as Sol spoke about trust, and having that trust in a squad is important. And it was true, very true. A squad needs to trust each other with their lives if it is going to succeed. Valo learned that as well and still is learning that now, sometimes he considered himself to be solo kind of guy. But he has learned to work well with others throughout his time being a magic knight. But even with that being said, Valo had always sought after strength. He wanted to be strong for as long as he could remember, and that was just his drive, his resolve to keep pushing himself daily. So when Sol stated he wanted to find a squad that would help him get stronger he grinned.
"A squad where you can get stronger?? Oh yea. I think you'll like Green Mantis." Valo said confidently. The whole squad was full of people that wanted to get stronger and they supported each other with that in strange ways. There was no senseless judgment and looking down on each other. But just a healthy sense of competition and camaraderie.
"Agneya! Come on! Were going back home!" Valo suddenly shouted out loud calling out to his fire spirit, Agneya Astra. The small little feisty spirit came zipping to his location and stopped in front of him looking at Sol. "Who are you?" she asked suddenly without proper introduction. Valo rolled his eyes. "This is Sol. Sol this is Agneya my spirit partner, she's got a short a temper and she's kind of rude. So forgive her."
"I don't have a temper, and I'm not rude! I'm just skeptical of every new person that I meet is all." she said crossing her arms and looking Sol up and down. "He seems fine." she added with a pout.
Sol then asked of Valo took part in the Kikka reclamation effort. Which he did. Now that it has been some time, he didn't mind talking about it. He wouldn't go into precise detail about all that happened but he could chat about it. The fire mage looked at Sol for a second before answering. "I was. You were probably there too I assume. We can talk about it, if you want to. But let's get on the way to Hage in the mean time. Massao" His last word was actually the activation of a spell, from is grimoire that was still wrapped around his waist. Blue flames started to spiral around and form a long dragon like creature. It was a golem spell that had many uses for Valo, one of them being transportation. He then hopped on top of the golem with Agneya following. "Shall we?"
Name of Spell: 真っ青 ( Massao / Pitch Blue) Spell Element: Fire Spell Rank: Senior Mana Cost: 30 | 15 Type of Golem: Balanced Applicable Perks: Puppet Master Description: Massao much like Masshiro is a long dragon type golem made purely of Valo's flames. But instead of a pale white color Massao is mostly blue in color and even longer, reaching a maximum height of 9 meters long. It's also able to fly to travel and attack from the air. It's just as aggressive and uses everyone of it's limbs to attack, including it's jaws and tail as well. Each attack from Massao inflicts fire burning damage that can cause minor third degree burns. Massao can be used for transportation following the transportation guidelines for senior ranked golem spells, carrying up to three people and traveling 20 m/s. They fully respond to commands given by it's user through a mana connection and also verbally. This spell also follows the ammo rules for golems, at the senior rank.

Sol smirked a bit when Valo mentioned that he would like Green Mantis, based on what he had learned so far the mage had peaked his interest for sure.”I know getting a first hand look will definitely help me make a choice, im planning on taking the magic knight exams when they happen soon perhaps I can make a good impression on your captain” he suggested, it was then that the elder knight called for his partner to return and she did so very quickly though the moment she bombarded the blood mage with a question he could only blink in surprise at her bluntness.it seemed however that Valo had predicted this and introduced them to which Sol nodded to her but also chuckled a bit at how Agneya pouted “shes Fiery but theres nothing wrong with being a bit cautious of everyone you meet” he said looking down at the spirit before he bowed a bit in greeting”it’s a pleasure to meet you” he said being polite to her before turning his attention back to Valo.
It seemed that Sol was right and the man had been in Kikka just like him but he suggested they talk while they headed towards Hage, as the man summoned a dragon like creature from blue flames Sol had an impressed look on his face. “impressive if this is just for travel I can only wonder what else you can do Valo” he said as he hopped on the dragon with the two as they set off. Once they were in the air Sol would speak more.”You are correct that I was at Kikka as well and its something im not going to ever forget for a long time, I was so weak there I thought I could be of help but all it felt like I was doing was stumbling in the dark with my team with those mana beasts ready just beyond eyesight” he explained as he looked down at his hand for a moment before he balled it into a fist. “ I learned one valuable lesson there though, I learned that Might controls everything and without strength you can’t protect anything let alone yourself and I refuse to allow myself to feel that week ever again” he added as he uncurled his fist and sighed a bit in frustration.
“I haven’t gotten a chance to talk to captain Ardere or captain Zaven about what happened on their end and honestly Id rather not approach Vice Captain Lydia for a long time since I ended up on the wrong end of her in an interrogation room due to her Ego being damaged” he said remembering wanting to head home then getting yanked by the Vice Captain and getting questioned about his loyalty which was an absolute waste of time since he was not a traitor, perhaps he was a bit foolish to challenge her judgement but he was no traitor to the kingdom, ”what happened with you there Valo if its ok to ask?” he questioned his tone was calm and he was ready to drop the subject if it was too much for the man.
