This was his first mission for awhile now. Joseph really wasn't active enough on jobs, but that might be due to the big ones he kept running into. Raque had been one he had blindly run for, but Kikka? The young man had signed up of his own volition. From now on, for at least a bit, it would be nice to not be involved with the matters of deamons. It was easy enough to get to Hage village. While not being the physically strongest of people, he could do something. It was early in the morning, yet there were already citizens working on trying their best to fix the damage done. It was hard to not get lost in the sounds of people working, a gentle breeze passing by, and birds singing. There was a different magic knight coming along, so he had until they arrived to finish whatever thoughts were on the mind. They would be better to finish up as well, for they were unwelcome distractions. With the holiday season over, nothing was distracting him from not noticing how different he felt since a certain point in Kikka, along with a strange sensation at the back of his neck. It wasn't really at a spot his own eyes could exactly reach, and glass was something needlessly expensive, so there was no way he would buy mirrors to try to see if he could even view that spot using them.
~I don't want to bother anyone with a non issue, but it's also starting to really bother me...~ His hands signed these words silently before the mouth exhaled an exasperated sigh. He briefly reached for the back of his neck, though touching such a location in public definitely felt wrong. The hand soon retracted, his braided hair moving with each time a hand rustled near it. The strands glittered in the light, ranging from a deep orange in the shadows all the way up to a glittering pale yellow. While he considered it to be peachy in color, at this moment? The colors blended well with the current sunrise that gifted the sky.

"Ah, Lord Joseph!" Raviel chimed as the Silver Eagle came into view from the Azure Deer's left. "You are up early. I see you're eager to start then. Nevertheless, I hope your night in our hotel royal suite was to your liking." The blonde Shengxiao would add.
Raque was his birthplace. The marine city was where he came from and where his parents had most of their land holdings, including one of the most luxurious inns of the city, right by the seaside. The city was always bustling, always so full of life. It was a city that never stopped, it just kept going day and night. Tourism, sightseeing, beach parties. As far as Raviel was concerned, it wasn't perfect...but it was so damn close. So, when it came to helping the other cities become as excellent as Raque, he would answer the call. Not only because he was his solemn duty as a Magic Knight, but as a citizen and part of the nobility living within the clover Kingdom.
Of course, he couldn't do it alone. This mission in particular required more than a pair of hands due to time constraints. They needed to aid in the reconstruction of some part of Hage village and as much as he could easily lift heavy weights around, there was so much he could do on his own time wise. Considering the somewhat tight schedule having him and his partner out there very early in the morning, teamwork was essential.
The only off thing about the whole ordeal was his teammate. Not that he disliked the guy. It's just that he supposed he would be assigned a teammate from the Silver Eagles. Instead, he was going to deal with the mission with a member of the Azure Deers. More over, this guy felt somewhat familiar to him. Not in the sense of being family, but his mana sure felt very similar to his own and his parent's own as well. Raviel didn't know much about the Azure Deer outside of his name. They didn't really had time to socialize. He had invited him to one of his family's estates not too far from their operational area, (noble or not Raviel didn't settle for mediocrity when it came to his family's hospitality) but the knight had arrived late in the evening, meaning he would only have a little time to settle undisturbed for the night.
"Is something bothering you, Lord Joseph?" He would ask upon hearing a sigh coming from the guy.

Being called 'Lord Joseph' was strange. Such an event wasn't the only unusual thing of the silver eagle, but it certainly added to the list. “Joseph is fine.” While it felt like it wold be rude to decline things, it still felt way too strange to be called lord. How did he enjoy the stay last night? Should he tell Raviel that he typically couldn't taste any of the flavors in the foods or drinks? That the soft bed was as welcoming as a lesser bed? Of course all of these small things were symptoms of a bigger issue. Getting mentally well enough to fully function and put his everything in didn't mean that everything was sunshine. The young man was very good at looking fine though, his natural colors were even perfectly suited for an innocent appearance. Not answering would be more rude than saying things weren't enjoyed though. “It was nice of your family, but the accommodations felt a little pointless. It's quick and easy to get here from my guild base.” The fellow magic knight didn't feel the same 'duty as a noble', as his fathers family had been so common in the first place. Why was he here? The same reason they had become an azure deer, to help the citizens of the country. The pull wasn't connected to duty until after becoming an azure deer, the same thing that gave them the courage to begin on that path.
Soft peach pink eyes looked towards the silver eagle from behind plain glasses. Was it that obvious? Something bothering him? ~So many things.~ was signed, silent words meant to be lost on the other. If they knew he had said that after all, then they might try to dig a bit further. “...Ever since Kikka it felt like my magic changed a bit. The back of my neck also felt a strange sensation since then. I don't know what triggered it, a change in myself, or something else. I don't expect anyone to have any answers to this. It got especially bad around Chisana and you.” How do you find answers when you don't know where to start? Most give up in finding them. While he hadn't given up, he also wasn't expecting to get handed any answers on a silver platter anytime soon. His magic changing wasn't anything new, not that such a thing would be brought up. Instead of waiting for answers, the young adult started heading for the sight of the buildings construction. His steps were silent, but the eyes had a certain focus. It wasn't nearly the amount Cobborn typically had, but this was his first mission since the Kikka mess. He would find it again, their old intense focus and determination. If there was anything the young man wanted, it was to work as a magic knight without anything distracting him.
The answer came before this day, but that didn't mean it was over. The pink eyed individual had to either find the answer, or work through it. This wasn't the first time something had happened in life that had questions without answers. That was a truth that didn't change no matter what hour it was. Even as he worked on helping rebuild it wouldn't go away. Carrying wood, carrying bricks, and other materials was just some of the tasks involved in helping to rebuild. Listening to others that were working on the same task of rebuilding it was important to learn what had to be done when. It was the first day he used an augur, hammer, an iron trowel, and a number of other tools used in construction. None of his magic would make this any easier, so he had to settle for labor intensive work that took quite a bit of focus, control, and awareness. A lack of focus could lead to getting hurt, and a lack of control could lead to costly errors. The early morning started to slowly creep away from their person as hours caused the dawning colors to give way for a blue days sky. There was something cleansing about this, so of course taking a break didn't occur to him. Breaking stone to make brick, laying mortar between the layers, cutting and using the wood where it was needed. Everything in the construction had its own place in the creation of a building, which was quite the beautiful thing.
This wasn't the first day of construction, but he wanted it to be the last. If it wasn't then he would remain until it was. The mission was to help rebuild, that meant not to do it half hearted. More hours crept by, the heat creeping up with the time of day. Sweat covered his clothes quite a bit at this point. He was from a family of musicians, thus he was far more acquainted with the hard work of research than with anything labor intensive in this way. Research, practice, and carrying and use of musical equipment had been the biggest hard labors involving what he could remember of life. This was just as unresting, only in a way that made the muscles ache everywhere. It was a different ache than the sort you would get for playing an instrument for a dazing amount of hours, or singing until it felt the throat might close, or reading until your entire body felt cramped with pain and ached with thirst and hunger. Every muscle was working, and he wasn't the only one there doing the work either. Teamwork and communication was important, otherwise someone might mess up. This is why there was a foreman keeping everything organized and making sure everyone was on task. The only thing he didn't like about that man was it meant if he told everyone to take a break, it meant everyone.
The young azure deer didn't want to take any breaks, but what could you say to the person that supposedly knew best? So he had some basic foods and water that was taken with him before leaving for the job. If you aren't prepared for everything or anything, then can you say that you were ready? Everything was a day old, but it tasted the same as the food from the fancy resting spot the silver eagle had him rest at the night before. The break was good for the aching stomach, a parched throat, and muscles that had ached. The civilians that were also working on the construction just seemed happy that he was there helping. The break had made starting work after a bit easier. Muscles felt less stretched and tense, the body ached a bit less. Things got completed bit by bit, starting with the base of the building that was designed to hold all the weight. After the base was the ground floor, then the walls after that. Eventually more hours passed of hard labor. Everything wasn't fully completed, but things were getting close. He stayed at an available room for rent at a tavern in town, typically rented temporarily by those who drank too much to get home safely. It didn't cost much yul and was just as comfortable to them as the luxuries handed to him the night before. If anything, all the hard labor from before made the bed more comfortable.
Falling asleep was easy that night and the morning didn't follow up with any pestering mental questions. This mission was really what he had needed after all. It was a wonderful feeling to get everything back on track. This morning started as early for him as the one before had. The other magic knight must have gone home early, because there were certainly no signs of them now. This was only a passing thought on his way towards the construction sight. He worked through the aches that had remained from the day before, just as the man always had when there were aches or pains remaining from other days. It was another day of learning while on the job as well as laborious work. Today felt a bit different, but he pushed passed it. The body started more tired and sore than yesterday, but it was worked along with the mind as roughly as they had the day before. The many strange tools were already far more familiar today than they had been the day before. Bit by bit, by brick and wood, the walls were completed, including windows and doors. It was Josephs first time working on the construction of a door or a window. The glass was made by someone else, others had made the nails. Sometimes he made pins, other times others did. The pale golden dawn colors faded to the bright blue day.
Building the roof Required learning a whole new set of things. Everything was falling into place through the hard work of the group and he played his part in the work to the best of his abilities. The clothes he had worn to work had been fresh for that day, but was already getting soaked through. As more was done, it became harder to move, feel, And think. By the time lunchtime came, construction had been completed. Joseph should have remained a bit more to rest or eat, but instead started back towards the azure deer headquarters. The only pause before than was to admire the finished building. It was a little hard to believe that something that looked so nice and official had been something he had helped build. Cobborn had a feeling he would have done a horrible job without the foreman’s instructions though. With the mission now completed, he had to get back to write the report on it. Fully resting didn't really feel acceptable for himself until everything was finished. The mission may have been done, but he hadn't even gotten back to the base yet. All the exhaustion would just have to be tolerated until absolutely everything had been completed.
