In this world, Magic is Everything. All people, all races, are granted with the power to perform mystical and magical feats via grimories, mystical tomes granted to each and every child on their 15th birthday. Those blessed by the mana can have their names written down in legend.

The sky in the Carrion Kingdom felt different to the sky in the Clover Kingdom. Perhaps it was just different all together. Yugo lay on the pavement in an alley and sighed as he looked upward. He had thankfully avoided major injury or broken bones, but his entire body was sore and he could feel the bruises forming and the cuts stinging. He groaned as he stood up and got himself as good to go as he could without healing magic. He cursed himself for the luck he was having. He had decided to leave the estate and take a midnight walk, thinking the kingdoms interior well guarded like it was in Clover. He had forgotten that unlike the inner city of clovers main foothold, there were many magic knight squads headquartered. But here in the Carrion Kingdom, only so much could be done with their own singular power structure. He wondered if this was part of the training as well, he wouldnt put it past Lady Lydia to arrange for him to be attacked as a test of some sorts. But even if she didn’t he highly doubted she wasn’t having him watched. The young Mage assumed she would know of it soon enough either way.
He had been all out of his normal step and pace ever sense he had that first encounter with the Daemon alongside Ardere. He paused in his return walk, now slowly getting to be 5 am, the agreed upon meeting time. He touched his chest and felt the scar that remained, an oddity that should have been fully healed by Arderes intense magic but… it had lingered. It was still raw and angry and every so often Yugo would awake in the dead of night still feeling himself trapped in that moment of milliseconds before the blade bit into his skin and flesh. Thankfully… he had not heard the voice or seen the stranger he did when the first Crystal was shattered. He hadnt told anyone of it. He was terrified to. He knew what ever it was was the enemy and as such he worried the rest of the Knights would do what must be done. He wasn’t scared of death… he was scared of being seen as a traitor forever ruining his families legacy.
He arrived to the estate after nearly an hour of walking. He was hungry, and tired having been unable to sleep. Which was the entire point of his walk. Though he didn’t blame the kingdom for that. His insomnia had only grown worse after the daemon. He would make his way through the house, taking careful steps to not cause any messes or knock anything over. By the time he reached the training grounds he looked harried and bothered. He bowed deeply, seeing that Lady Lydia wasn’t the only person there. Perhaps another student? Perhaps simply a family member and he had disturbed their meeting. “Lady Ravencrest.” he had arrived on time, as the bells in town struck 5 am, the start of the day.
"Thank you for inviting me over. I didn't know you owned all this area, too."
The pleasant background hum of everyday life followed the sound mage as she strolled through Carrion Kingdom. Lydia had invited her over for a visit, and needless to say, Suna was impressed. Her mentor had been showing her around and introducing her to several of her generals. They were all seasoned and polished warriors, people she would not definitely want to face against in battle. It was not surprising how powerful and commanding Lydia was here, in her own domain. She has yet to see everything, but from what she has seen, it was a formidable kingdom in its own right.
But then they turned towards the training grounds. Surprisingly, it was not empty, even in this early hour. Suna glanced curiously at the stranger. "Your new student?" She asked Lydia, clear eyes swiftly appraising him. He looked a little beat up, but nothing that looked too serious. He was a polite one, bowing respectfully towards them despite his harried state.
This must be her mentor's new trainee. Or what she assumed, anyways. Of course the fastest light mage in Clover Kingdom was sure to garner the attention of many willing trainees, though from the looks of his Magic Knight mantle, he was not from the same fiery-spirited squad as Lydia. Interesting. She did not think that the Crimson Lion took apprentices from other squads. But then again, Lydia had taken her, a nobody, under her wing, so who knew? Nonetheless, Lydia seemed to be expecting him.
"May I?" She asked, slender fingers reached out towards him. Accarezzevole. If he would allow it, she would hum softly and her sound would flow out, surrounding the male and attempting to heal his wounds. It would be a gentle and lulling sensation, like the barest whisper of a butterfly's descent. If he showed any sign of resistance, she would retract her magic back into herself, quietly watching and waiting to see exactly what Lydia intended to do with him.

[attr="class","florencetext"] Some might have found it strange that Lydia had told the other glass mage to stay for training the same day that the vice-captains student was to visit her kingdom. However, to Lydia, it was a simple solution as she could just help Suna help train Yugo and with the gap being less as large it was far less likely the kid would end up dying. The light mage, of course, might have forgotten to mention that to the both of them but it wouldn't be that big of a problem right. Of course, the two female mages had some time to kill before Yugo was to meet Lydia for his train. At which time the head of the Ravencrest family would show Suna around the kingdom well just the capital city as they didn't have enough time to explore the whole kingdom. The blue-haired mage seemed taken aback at just how much land Lydia now owned. Not that the light mage could blame her after all it wasn't common for the royal family to give someone their own kingdom even more so to upgrade a whole family to lesser royalty. [break][break] In fact, the Ravencrest was the only family in history to have it happen to them so far. Lydia of course would never brag about that which was something she couldn't say for all of those in her family. Yes the royal family was very generous when they gave me my own land among other things. You should see the hot springs not too far from the capital. Perhaps we can go sometime? It wasn't long after that Yugo would show up at the training grounds which lead to Suna asking if he was a new student. No I agreed to train him this one time but I never agreed to take him on as a student. [break][break] You're the only student I've had past or present. Oh and Yugo I told you that you could just call me Lydia. The vice-captain would then give the two younger mages to introduce themselves to each other before she spoke up again. So Suna seeing as you're already here I was wondering if you'd like to help me train Yugo? Assuming that the blue-haired mage agreed Lydia would speak up again. I want you to spar against him please don't hold back as well. Seeing as we both have healing magic he shouldn't die.

For the first time in his life, Yugo felt his inner heart stir as he was now in the presence of a beauty he did not understand. For a moment, the world fell away as he saw her elvish Beauty. But it wasn’t a sexual attraction, it was the attraction that only an artist and a muse could have. For a moment, a very brief moment,Yugo felt his magic explosively change. The rough edges of the magic inside him smoothed away, and he couldn’t help but smile as her magic healing spell rolled over his body. He felt the fear and fatigue leave his body as the damage was undone. But as the magic left his body he shook himself free of the last dregs and bowed deeply once again to both. He was unsure how long he would be able to stand up as Lydias semi student, and it may only be for one day so he aimed to make the most of it.
The elder of the three indicated that they were to spar, and that Yugo would most likely need their healing. He nodded and held his hand over his grimoire, the book leaving its holster and floating infront of him as he let his magic flow through him.

TRAINING STARTS HERE
The grimoire began to glow with an outline like glass, that ebbed and flowed from the very pages as they opened to the fourth page in the grimoire. The mana leaked away from the grimoire as Yugo struggled. It was always hard to use his mana like this, a curse he felt he burdened even though he had no curse upon his body, at least according to the doctors he had visited. The mana swirled like molten glass and flowed infront of his hands before used to create 2 glass magic circles that floated shortly out from Yugos hands, each circle flowed with the energy of Yugos Soul, but it was clear his magic was clouded by something. It was obvious Yugos own mental doubts were making his magic not nearly as pure and clean as it could be.
Yugos face broke into a slight sweat as he concentrated hard, forcing the mana to obey his will. Simple constructs like a ball were easy to create for his magic, but these more advanced shapes were much harder, the circles swirled in its space and began to form a handle made of roughly formed glass. But as the magic formed the hilt of the blade, Yugo collapsed on to his knees in a coughing fit as the glass shattered back into raw mana. He coughed hard and weezed before trying his best to get his magic back under control.
"Yes the royal family was very generous when they gave me my own land among other things. You should see the hot springs not too far from the capital. Perhaps we can go sometime?"
Hot springs? That was not something she often heard about or experienced. In fact, exactly zero times. "That would be lovely." Suna agreed, though she wondered how private—or public—the hot springs would be. She was not exactly the type to flaunt her body, even if her lithe and well-toned frame was nothing to be ashamed about. Why, even at the modelling place, she was bashful at being photographed in a cheerleading outfit. Of course, a certain dark mage had not minded, especially not later on in the privacy of her home. Regardless, that would be something in the future, and she would not mind spending more time with her mentor that did not involve some sort of training. But for now, she turned to the matter at hand.
"No I agreed to train him this one time but I never agreed to take him on as a student."
"Ah, a trial run. I see..." The sound mage absent-mindedly brushed off a stray flower blossom from her sleeve. She had on a dark outfit, somewhat different from her customary blue-hued clothes. It was coupled with a pair of high sturdy boots - essentially, a dark version of her usual dress. It was designed and cut in such a way so that it did not hinder any range of movement from her arms or legs while still offering some sort of style. There was plenty of room for movement, considering that she was conveniently about to be called up into action.
"You're the only student I've had, past or present."
Now that was news to her. However, Lydia had continued on before she could question her more about it. Yugo, was it? Nice and short, just like her own name. There was no time for words though, as she stepped forward and cast her healing spell over the young man. Accarezzevole. It was quick and simple work, nothing complicated such as ruptured organs or missing limbs, which would require a considerably longer timeframe and more energy. Only when she was sure there were no more surface wounds did the blue-haired elf lower her hands and waved off her magic.
"Hello," she smiled warmly at the male mage, dipping her head in response to his deep bow. "My name is Suna. Nice to meet you, Yugo of the Silver Eagles." She would also have asked about how and where he received those wounds, but it looked like the other two were eager to start the training. She nodded at the vice captain's words, though she was not going to go full out right from the beginning until she had gotten a more accurate idea of her sparring partner's strength.
Her would-be opponent's grimoire was already glowing, and hers responded in kind. Cadenza. Blue aura shimmered around the elf, and a lightweight rapier formed in her right hand. Dropping down and bending her knees into a defensive position, Suna waited for the first attack. Clear eyes darted to the spell that the knight was creating, which felt slightly familiar and now she understood why. A glass mage, just like Lydia. It was interesting, however, to see his glass not completely clear and strong like the other mage. It seemed to be slightly cloudy, as if tainted by something.
But regardless of its appearance, Suna waited to see what he would make. The beginnings of a hilt...a sword, perhaps? However, the young man suddenly keeled over coughing, and whatever he created dissipated back into raw mana. Her eyes softened. She remembered what it was like in her early days, when she barely knew how to control her own magic. He seemed fairly young, and she felt for him.
"Here," she tossed her magical sword towards him, so that it hovered in front of Yugo. She formed yet another one in her hand to replace the one she just gave him. "Let's try again." Of course, it was up to him on whether he would take it or not, but if he decided not to take her offered sword, she would nod and wave away the first sword, keeping the second one she summoned.
"Relax..." she said soothingly. "Your magic is you, so don't try to force or fight to control it. Let just a little flow out first, then gently shape it. It'll come with practice." She could see that there were other things that also needed to be worked on before he could reach his potential. Not every weakness was physical or magical—some were matters of the mind and heart, things that take much more time to hone and shape than one's magical powers.

Suna awaited to see what the other's responding moves would be. She was well aware of Lydia watching the whole scene, evaluating both her and the young man. A spar was never just for one person—it was a learning process for both sides. As for the actual fight, she would do her best to push him, though careful not to inflict any damage beyond what she could heal. All in all, she was certain that she would walk away today with another lesson learned, and perhaps a new friend as well.
