The sea air was salty as Yugo stood on the small row boat being paddled out to the Arena. This year it was a mock pirate battle with rickety wooden paths working around the arenas main area, normally the arena was used for close range combat, using the ever shifting area thanks to the waves to make it harder to keep solid foot work. But this year was even more unique, as the platforms were designed to occasionally rise and fall with magical water spurts. The young Glass mage checked his equipment and knew that his two weapons were ready and prepped. The Glass Crossbow mounted to his wrist responded with ease and didn’t jam when he activated it, he wasn’t used to using it or his electric sword in a sea side enviroment and he was glad the crossbow responded without issue. His electric sword was a one hander and fit on his back with ease. He touched the handle and he felt the magic flow letting him know he was good to go.

The Arena was a strange shape, ever shifting but loosely tied together by magic. The arena measured 30 meters wide at every point, with a large singular unmoving platform in the middle which was 5 meters wide all around.each of the seperate platforms were covered with various walls of different heights to provide cover. The arena would be a challange for Yugo despite his training. He may be a good fighter on solid land, but to run with ease on the floating wooden platforms would not be easy. The arena lead let out a wild clal as the crowd could be heard cheering in the distance. The crowd able to magically watch the fight from a safe distance as he explained the fight to the two opponents. Both were obscured by a sensory spell equal to a archmages, and made them appear as simply cloaked individuals so they could not plan before the fight had officially started. The announcer explained the rules, no touching the water unless using it to attack in some way, ranged attacks were worth 2 points while melee attacks were worth only 1, the first to 5 points or to knock the target into the water would win. Yugo breathed as best he could and tried to get his heart racing under control.
