What a strange turn of events Yugo found himself in. Once again he was delving deeply into the past of the Clover Kingdom in search of answers. He had spent so much time researching daemons and their lore that he had become familiar with almost every library within the Clover Kingdom. However this would be the first time he was allowed within the Grand Magic Archives, and he wasn’t even looking for the information he had been scowering for all over the country. He wondered if his partner for this mission would be an easy one to get along with, or if he would find himself biting his tongue in annoyance quite often. Either way he wasn’t sure if he could get any research done on the side while with them. [break][break] He waited at the entrance to the Grand Magic Archive and pulled up the small piece of glass he carried with him to store bits of information. It was like his own magic information scroll, but it fit neatly into the palm of his hand. He could hold it without worry of self harm given how soft its edged were and he allowed his mana to run through the material causing the written information to appear. A renowned researcher and explorer had asked for the participants to research acient temples in forested areas, and he wondered if jsut perhaps he might find the information he was looking for regardless of if he could sneak off to the more closely related books and information. He yawned softly and sat waiting on the side of the road to the building. His silver-white hair gently flowed with each breeze and his magic Knights uniform was well fitted and clean. He wore his Mantle with a level of Pride as he chuckled to himself and wondered just how long hed be kept waiting. [break][break] After a while yugo would enter the Library with a sigh, hoping he had not missed his partner and would somehow end up being the one that was late to the mission. He worried that he would be seen as a lazy mage, which was exactly the opposite of what he was and trying to be. He made his way into the Library and would make his way around, more so looking to finally get started on the research the mission had asked for regarding the ancient temples the client seemed to be eager to learn about. It wouldnt take long to find the books he needed, and even shorter time to find a table where he could sit to dive into them. The librarian would send over even more books through out the course of his stay within the library, with each book needed to be fully read through to allow the information to be learned well enough that Yugo could etch it down into the strong sheets of Glass he was using to transmit the information. Each book was unfortunately dryer then the last. [break][break] It wasn’t until he was several hours into the research he now found himself in, that he decided to take a break and stretch his limbs a bit. He stood up and made his way toward the exit, but in the shadowy corners of his eyes, he could see a figure watching him. One that looked much to familiar for his comfort. He turned quickly, to find the figure dissapearing around the corner of a book shelf. With the young Magic Knight now fully on alert, he unlocked the holster of his Grimoire and the book levitated out of its holding leather and opened to be prepared for battle. He ran over to where the figure had dissapeared and saw them turning away at the end of the hallway of books. Yugo made chase and soon found himself lost in the labyrinth of book shelves and corridors. At the end of the bookshelves seemingly trapped was the figure he had been following. The only thing visible in the dimly lit hallway was the figures eyes. Yugo knew this was a trap, and he cursed himself for falling for it. He should have known better and he wondered if he would be able to break out of the illusion he felt he was in. [break][break] ”You would do well to surrender. I don’t know how you knew him… But ill make you stop using my Fathers face. Drop your Illusion and come with me quietly, or ill drag you to the Wizard King myself.” the mans face lifted, and in the dim light of the hallway Yugo could tell he had been right. The man before him had his face Obscured slightly. But Yugo could see enough Detail to know that the man before him looked exactly like his late Adoptive Father Issac Beaulieu. He would reach into his belt and from his belt he would release the Thunder Sword from its hilt and prepare to use it as the figure smiled a sickeningly familiar smile. It drove a spike into Yugos heart to see that soft and loving smile of the man who raised him once more. [break][break] ”You are confused, the mind must play tricks on you Child, the man you see in my face has been dead a very long time. He is dead and cold, a story told by those who he trusted, and those he loved…and those who then moved on.” the figures words hit a cord in yugos chest and heart, as the anger welled inside him he could not control himself before he lunged forward to cut the man down with a rightious roar. The blade cut through nothing, but Yugo knew he had hit the figure and as he turned back to see the figure was gone with the libraries bsut of some ruler falling to the ground cut in half. Yugo looked at the bust and felt his emotions swirling around in his heart and mind. He stood there confused and hurt, and unsure what to do next.
