Today was an unusual, inordinately usual and completely intriguing day all at once. Unusual because Nix had managed to find herself assigned to a mission above her usual allowance, usual because she was just as snazzy as per her referential. Intriguing because the people had a problem that she knew; at her snazziest, that she could solve. The mystery of people going missing was not a new one, people had a history of doing so in the Kingdom Of Clover, however this particular concern was concerning. Nix gathered her things, swiftly leaving her home after kissing her mum and dad good bye, before sweetly perusing the selection of jobs that had been sent to the Silver Eagles predominantly. First in; best dressed, as they say and Nix was both. Her pleasant demeanour must have wore off on them as they allowed her to sift through the intermediate work, which made no sense as they were usually reserved for the benchmark above hers. Maybe tales of her exploits had been brought up and Nix had done a particularly fantastic job at accomplishing the tasks that they had previously delegated to her. Perhaps it was just poor paperwork that allowed such a blunder to have occurred, ”Here it is.” Nix dangled a stray piece of paper above her head and in front of the guild directory’s nose, Hage was a pretty, snazzy place. She felt as though she would fit in quite well. Shouldering her rucksack, she continued on the path that life had led, to this place of all places. A cobblestone street that was cracked by years of wear was underfoot, the trees were green and seemed to exude a certain trait of healthy volume that exhibited that Spring was around the corner. Fiddling with the tassels on her satchel Nix giggled to herself how lucky she was, the guilder feigned an expression of resignation that was probably the snazziest he could manage, she forgave him for his uncomely lack of snazz. By comparison, it was probably a complicated concept for him to deign to imagine being any snazzier, for this lack of necessary imagination, Nix forgave him as well.
Nix was informed that a civilian would be joining her; or vice versa, a competent young man; having had already volunteered his services untoward the endeavour, Nix was relieved and elated to discover that she would not be working alone. Her obvious parenthesis for not knowing his name would be the allowance that she imagined less of her snazziness and more about others. Worrying about herself wouldn’t find those missing people, and although Nix was happy to do so, it would not be conducive to a good working dynamic with her counterpart if she was self-absorbed. Five hundred or so steps later; Nix had been counting, she skipped a few numbers but the astronomical effort was enough to be a thousand in effort. If effort had a numerical value, it was an insanely snazzy number that she assigned herself, daily. At the outer reaches of the forest, she laid out her tallows and waxes and having selected a particularly colourful candle from three, she proceeded to wait for the civilian to offer himself as bait. So she could of course assess the situation and fundamentally cast her safety askew, working as a hero was tough work but someone had to do it. The leaves of the trees bristled with intentional movement and Nix, not being sure if it were an animal or not heard it and profoundly began to wonder.
[attr="class","noahtext"]Those missions were just flying in and Noah couldn’t really find a time to have a peaceful moment for himself. He couldn’t even decline them, as it was his only real income as he wasn’t a part of the Magic Knights just yet. Given this, and his otherwise not so great financial situation, it seemed like he will be doing every mission he gets his hands on for a long time. This time, the mission was very similar to other ones he had, missing civilians. Why did it look like mages could make the biggest profit from the disappearance of a civilian? Noah had no answer, but he was ready to discover a truth behind these new disappearances. He was supposed to head towards Hage, which was in Forsaken region. Noah wasn’t a big fan of anything that crossed the border of common region really, but he has been visiting Forsaken region way more than he wanted to for the past month. That gave him already some sense of familiarity with the land, which was only hypothetical, but it still made him feel good. Given this tempo, he would have the whole Kingdom of Clover mapped by a couple months´ time. [break] Flying on his broom, first thing that instantly hit him was the giant skull of what was supposed to be a demon. Noah couldn’t tell if those were just some urban legends or a truth, but it was indeed monumental and scary. He couldn’t imagine living next to this thing, yet there were quite a few people in the small town of Hage. After arriving at the border of the town, young mage flew down and landed. His initial though was to go to the city, where he would expect his team mate to be. He was supposed to collaborate with another Magic Knight, which by now wasn’t even that weird as he basically did most of the missions with another knights so far. This gave him some sense of already being part of the organization, while still not being officially there. He was also very lucky with his encounters, as most of the knights he worked with were very pleasant people to be around, as well as greatly skilled, filling Noah with a deep sense of motivation and strive for improvement. Searching through the town, which wasn’t that big anyway, he couldn’t find a single person with the Knight´s Mantle, which made him think that his companion would already be on their way to the place they were supposed to investigate. [break] Noah got a little flashback, as this reminded him of Griswold and his first mission with solar mage. Knights were indeed stubborn, when it came to their duty and that was something Noah was slowly getting used to. Having a blurry idea of where the mage could be, he set off to the nearby forests that are the location they are supposed to investigate. His guts are already telling him that there would be some mana beasts involved, as they usually were, and civilians that were probably violating their territory never reached happy end. While Noah generally didn’t like the expansions of humans into the lands that naturally belonged to some other creatures, he couldn’t ignore the fact that those civilians might have been hurt or worse dead. That needed to be stopped and if it came to that, Noah was already somehow prepared to fulfill his duty and fight for the innocent people, hoping that they were truly innocent. [break] It didn’t take long and Noah was coming near the forest edges, looking for any track of his teammate. He wasn’t ready to enter the forest just yet, as he wanted to talk strategy first, having at least some safety net in case the things would go wrong. His sensory abilities were improving, however were still very underwhelming, but he could at least say if there was someone near his immediate location. Didn’t take him long until he saw a small figure from afar. He couldn’t tell much, but they definitely looked like a person, not a mana beast or any kind of animal. After coming closer, he would then see young woman in a silver knight´s mantle, that represented the squad Noah was fond of the least, the Silver Eagles. Trying to not be too judgmental, he would slowly approach the mage and wave in a friendly manner. “Hello, I am Noah and I believe we will be doing this mission together?” He asked, trying to be as polite as he was possibly capable of, but when he was checking the situation, he realized the mage has laid out some candles, which was rather odd and Noah planned to ask more about that.
Looking up from the mundane task of assorting candles, Nix allowed herself the brevity of being polite and conscientious by acknowledging Noah’s presence, stifling a small chuckle at the euphemism of his name. Her reply was soaked in repose and hopefully didn’t garner too much afterthought as her introductions weren’t the snazziest, “Salutations, It is good to meet you Noah, my name is Nix Lenore and I do believe you are correct.” Offering her tiny hand to the man she closed her eyes and turned her chin away from Noah, trying for the impression of incalculable grace but falling short by only a fraction of a snazzle. Her stifling gave way to a brief smile, she certainly now knew a guy named Noah. “I now know-a guy.” Presumptively she began to reiterate self-consciously; the moniker of his name, Nix acknowledged she could have made a funnier pun regarding how knowledgeable he was and that he was probably a profound knower of things. All in all he was a pretty snazzy guy as far as pretences and forgone conclusions were concerned, good first impressions were difficult to overcome. This however was not a problem for Nix as her personal predilection was to be indicative to the point of fault, there was good in every person, this one just happened to have a lot of it. Nix noticed his broomstick and his lack of mantle, it was a nice broom and an adequate absence of mantle. At least the information she had been given was correct; that he was a civilian. At first glance he did not seem to have any hesitation, Nix formed her opinion of him very quickly. Being that he was courteous, he was at the very least pragmatic, and at the most; as far as Nix could judge, an adequately adequate human being polite.
Selecting from the three candles that were set on the ground in front of her, Nix elected to ration out her usage of wax and chose a small conflagration to alight the otherwise normal candle. The candle emitted a faint glow of light whose warmth reinvigorated those it shone upon, it also smelt faintly of strawberries and lavender. Which while calming was also the bread and butter of her repertoire in spell craft, being that she was a fire mage predominantly. Blessed with the fortunate addition of wax to steady and concentrate her abilities, Nix was; after all, a witch. When it came to witches, there was nothing odd about an oddity. After having made her salutations, Nix could only presume that they would now converse about the task at hand. “The people of The Kingdom Of Clover have pressing concerns about civilians going missing.” The debrief had been short and quaint, the mission’s subject matter had been relatively easy to ascertain and Nix felt confident that with the given assurances, that she would be fine. Smiling sweetly she continued, “It is our job to apprehend and remand the culprit as soon as possible, and either rescue the civilians or report their current state of being.” Pausing for a breath of air, Nix solemnly deigned to imagine positively that the people of the forsaken region were safe and that they would soon be found, but hope was as bright as her candle during the day or so she guessed. She finished her statement by stating poignantly, Their whereabouts are unknown as is the cause of their disappearance; we should work fast.” Snapping her fingers to emphasise the notion, the flame of the candle she held ebbed and flickered with the wind. They wouldn’t have much time to rescue the missing people if they had fallen prey to mana beasts or highwaymen, but as there were no letters or notes of ransom demanding money the latter seemed unlikely.
[attr="class","noahtext"]Noah was rather surprised by the little being that was now his teammate. Initially, when he would see a Silver Eagles knight he would assume the person would be very snobby and would definitely disregard him based on his social status, which wasn’t the brightest to say the least. However, this one felt very different, eccentric, free minded and somehow sympathetic. Noah was glad that their initial conversation would set out a friendly tone for the mission to continue at, as it was always better to do things with people you can at least stand. Maybe the Silver Eagles weren’t that bad after all, but from his knowledge it was still a magic squad flooded with Silva family, and Noah knew that they were one of the most elitist families in the whole Kingdom, if not the most elitist. This also led him to question why would anyone actually join that squad, as he himself found it rather repulsive, but he was of course biased and made sure to not mention this vocally, as he didn’t want to destroy the nice start two of them just had. Checking out her surrounding, Noah noticed a lot of candles, and it somehow fit her, but at the same time he still had to ask, as it was rather weird. [break] “If you don’t mind me asking, what are all of those candles about? They smell great however.” He smiled, when she started to explain the mission, which Noah was already familiar with but it was still good to hear it once again, and see if she had any initial strategies she would like to employ. That didn’t really happen, but another thing surprised him as it looked as if she genuinely cared for the people of the Forsaken Realm. This made Noah´s sympathy for little witch even stronger and he somehow felt comfortable with two of them working on this case together. Maybe she wasn’t a usual eagle, or maybe the squad wasn’t as bad as their reputation suggested. Either way, it was a good sign and Noah started thinking loudly. “Very well, yes. We have to find the civilians or at least figure out what happened to them. My guess would be that they pretty much will be wounded if not dead.” This would be obviously a very unpleasant situation, but he rather prepared her for the worst so things could get only better from this point forward. [break] “Anyway, as opposed to the popular beliefs this matter is not as pressing as the mission suggest to be completely honest with you, Nix. Civilians get lost a lot of time, and majority of those times the reason for their disappearance is that they trespass a territory that is not theirs.” He smiled, as he gestured with his hand that it is time to start moving into the woods. “We humans are not the only species living in the Kingdom of Clover, I am sure you know that. The reason everything works so well, or at least on a surface is that each species has their territory dedicated to themselves. We are cohabiting this land, in some-what symbiosis, with humans claiming the most of the land for ourselves. But there are thousands and thousands of mana creatures that has the same right for the land as we do. And they have it, and I would guess that it is an unsaid agreement that each species stays within their own territory. This way we can avoid more useless wars, that would eventually lead to unnecessary bloodshed.” He wasn’t sure why he was explaining everything, but it was more of a thought thread he just kept on spreading and spreading. At some point he stopped with that, and started focusing more on the situation around them.[break] “I am not sure how good your sensory skills are, mine are at… Well not the best level but I can sense to some extent.” He scratched his head, as the forest was getting denser as they would advance deeper. Noah couldn’t really sense anything, but that necessarily didn’t mean that there wasn’t anything around, and he was well aware of that. Making sure to at least try and attempt to track any mana signatures that could be around, he didn’t really succeed and was getting a little desperate. Hopefully Nix would provide some assistance with this mater, but if not they would just keep on going. “I suggest taking the similar routes as the missing civilians took, to see if someone would attack us, that might be the easiest way to go on about this anyway.” With this, he would just follow some old footsteps that were in the ground for a pretty long time now, hoping that would lead the two young mages to the beasts or anything other, that they were supposed to investigate.
Knowing a compliment when she heard it, Nix appreciated the sentiment about her candles smelling nice. After all she made them herself, and being a nice person, it was expected that she would have nice things. “I use them as a focal point for my magic,” said Nix ever so sweetly, not overall elaborating on answering his question as it was some what of a personal subject. ”Forgive my vagueness.” Her oddity used wax and was not seen often as a positive by humans, the candles’ use being self-evident, sooner or later. Nix nodded along to the Noah’s sentiment, feeling slight anguish from his explanation as Human’s themselves were more invasive as a kingdom than nearly any other species. She kept her thoughts upon the matter to herself, only really allowing a brief moment of vindictively spoken words to fill her otherwise pensive silence, “Okay Mr. Smarty Pants, let’s go.” The candle itself was unique in the way that it was a Babylonian Candle, whichgranted the ability of flight and raised it’s users awareness ever so slightly. Her feet lifted off the ground as her limbs lightened and the warm radiance of the candle enveloped her. Flight was something special that Nix always particularly enjoyed, the candle levitated between the two of them and she ascended to the lofty canopy of a nearby tree. Peeking from the fork she noticed small movements in the brush below her, there were several angry dryads sharing meaningful glances between one another. As Noah had spoken, it seemed that they were intruding on the dryads’ home soil, a feeling that Nix knew all too well herself. Nix breathed calmly before setting her mind to the task at hand, her breath began changing colour and buffeted around her wreathing her in faint red flames. “Will O’ Wisp,” said Nix softly as her Grimoire opened, the dryads being that they were a perceptive race noticed her immediately. Nix daintily leapt from the tree and her feet lightly touched the ground. With the total force of all she could muster she sank the hokiest of pokies in the side of one of the dryads. Surprising the other two by a measure of a lack of confidence, two parts of their whole semblance recoiled in abject feelings of vindication. Their retaliation was more or less only prevented by Nix’s position, which was as tactically pronounced as she could make it being that she was behind the dryad she had pounced on.

[attr="class","noahtext"]Noah wasn’t really surprised that he probably came out like a mr-know-it-all to Nix. He kind of asked for it when he started thinking loudly, however not paying a lot of attention towards her attitude, he just smiled and scratched his head as if he was apologizing for talking so much. However, what he was very intrigued with was the fact that the young eagle utilized candles for her spells. That was a very unique way to actually perform magic, and Noah was eager to know more, but it seemed like she didn’t want to speak so much about it. Which was fair, and he didn’t want to make her uncomfortable. As they would advance further into forest, the smell of candles was making everything very pleasant, Noah didn’t even realize how a good smell can be boosting in spirit. Hoping that some initial communication barrier would break later between those two, he was really curious in how her magic functions. [break] It didn’t take long and he would get his answer, as Nix activated a spell of hers. He could instantly feel himself being lighter, noticing that the spell made him able to fly a little. “This is wonderful magic Nix!” He said cheerfully, as he would quickly land back on ground as he felt very uneasy without a solid ground under his feet. “So if I understand it right you use your candles as a means of supporting others, via its aroma?” Noah was literally amazed, as by this time he had seen a couple of mages but the fact that there were so many more unique magic types he has not discovered just yet was just taunting to say the least. As he was talking, Nix apparently noticed something and Noah would too eventually. It was probably because of this candle that he could feel his sensory being slightly better. This also gave him and idea about just how strong the silver mage was, thanks to the fact that even though his sensory has been boosted, it was not by very much. Nevertheless, this was good to know. Seeing three dryads hiding behind the bushes, he realized that they probably entered their territory. This made him question the next actions, as they probably needed to get rid of them. Noah was very hesitant with his further action, unlike Nix who went on full berserk. He smiled as this was rather entertaining to watch, they were three and generally stronger than her, yet the small witch just attacked them heads on. [break] He had to give out a small giggle, but then noticed another dryads approaching, another three of them. It looked like they were moving in these kinds of packs, and in order to avoid any further trouble it would be best for them to pacify them quickly as they really didn’t need more of them coming. Noah could do a simple thing, cast an area of effect spell and instantly get rid of all of them, but he knew that his control of spell wasn’t as sufficient as it would need to be to leave Nix undamaged. This led him to another plan. “Very well Nix, you seem to be doing great. I will get rid of those three over there, and if you needed help I would assist with the ones on your side.” With this, he pointed to a nearby rock that was like ten meters south-east of the group of dryads. Kinetic Link. No one on the battlefield probably knew what was going on, as he didn’t expect Nix nor dryads to have sufficient sensory skills to figure out he just sent out a small orb of his mana, which latched onto the rock. With a swift move, the rock quickly sprung from its location and hit one of the dryad´s head from behind, leaving her unconscious. [break] Other two would become rather enraged, as they made a sound Noah necessarily didn’t understand. They seemed to shout towards him, but instead of any sound, an array of wind blades was heading his way. He would just quickly raise his hand in front of him, and the wind blades would instantly change the direction and hit the earth. This made Noah think a little, before he turned back onto Nix. “Be careful to not get hit by their wind attacks, they might seem harmless but actually could be very dangerous in case they hit you more than once.” He then smiled and turned back on confused dryads, who apparently had no idea how their spell got redirected. Noah was smiling, as he was obviously happy that this was finally an enemy he could fully utilize the invisible potential of gravity against.
Elemental Type: Gravity Rank & Spell Type: Intermediate | Attack Creation, Sensory (Homing) Range & Speed: 40 meters | 10 m/s Mana Cost: 20 | 10 Stats Effected: +4 Power Applicable Perks: Knock-back Description: This spell allows Noah to weaponize any object present on the battleground. Activating the spell by pointing on one concrete object in his sight, Noah is able to use his gravity to apply his magic in form of small gravity point, which is attached to said object and moves the object as Noah wishes by gestures of his right hand. The gravity point is visible if enemies sensory is over 30 and looks like a small ball 3 centimeters in diameter attached to the object, and Noah can manipulate objects this way up to 600 lbs of weight (272 kilograms) with the size up to 6 m and based on the ammo rules, for every 20 control he has he is able to manipulate one more object at the same time. The size of the object doesn’t matter in terms of damage, as it’s the force it is manipulated with, dealing intermediate rank damage upon hit in form of moderate bones cracks or minor breaks as well as knocking the enemy back 4 meters and additional 5 meters for every 10 power Noah has. Noah is unable to use this spell on objects that are already used by playable characters. Utilizing sensory specialization, Noah is also able to apply homing effect to the objects that are being manipulated by this spell.
Absolutely pleased with the feedback, although she shook her head regarding the aroma aspect of her magic, Nix was certain that the exchange between them was apt for further inspection. Upon reflection she couldn’t fault him for his knowledgeable approach to elaborate context, in fact his informative diatribe was nothing short of impressive. Nix felt kind of bad about calling him a smarty pants, she would have to apologise later after the dryads were dealt with. Speaking while acclimating herself to the fight, Nix’s tone belied a subtle ease with which she split her focus, “The aromatic smell is only beneficial for the nerves, it’s the warmth of the flame that really supports.” The particular three dryads that were now jousting for her were not in the least bit pragmatic about their approach. The closest one opted to throw a wild kick in her direction, which; being effortlessly side stepped, did not exactly worry her, as she sunk a punch that was more heavily received than the first kick she had given. Nix felt her anger becoming prevalent as her heart rate increased, these dryads wouldn’t stand a chance if Nix picked up the momentum and continued as she had. Her vision blurred as she swept past the first dryad which was receiving a great deal of punishment, her overall strength increasing as she flew fearlessly towards the second. Hoping to bring the dryads into a skirmish where they would have to elect to flee or fight in close combat, Nix’s first instinct was to do as much damage as possible. Offsetting her small frame and delicate features, the look of fiery determination that she brandished was paramount to rage. Manoeuvring into the fray, a second dryad opted to cast some sort of wind spell aimed at Nix entirely. Much to her chagrin it glanced past her, Nix’s mana skin nullifying some of the integral damage leaving residual injuries. This only stemmed her anger; igniting her passions past frustration, billowing the flames of her smouldering chagrin into outright rage. The wind blew some of the colour out of the fire wreathing Nix, interrupting her assault only for the short moment it took for her to elect to engage the next target. Looking back only to aggrandise her accomplishment, she noticed that one of the dryads was already rendered comatose. Leaving only two now to deal with.

[attr="class","noahtext"]Seeing as the battle unfolded, Noah was rather amused by Nix´s performance. He would have never thought that such a small, fragile-looking being would be so keen in melee combat. It was the polar opposite of what Noah was preferring and the difference between their sizes, their looks and they fighting styles was very amusing to him. Not paying too much attention to two dryads he was originally battling, he just spectated the battle of young silver eagle as if it were some entertainment. Seeing that she struggled a bit by the end, it started to feel as if the battle would just get way harder than it should have gotten, therefore he decided to end this with one of his more advanced spells, for both his and Nix´s sakes. Slowly turning towards his dryads who were now preparing some other attack of some sort, he just jumped back a couple meters and shouted to Nix. “You did great job Nix! I feel like if we continued like this, they would just get more reinforcements coming our way and that could turn to be a potential trouble for us. Please move behind me.” He asked her nicely, while still keeping a smile. Hoping Nix would do as she said, he would then just point hand onto the clear space, that was far away from the two mages, yet the dryads would be still in the area of effect. [break] “Encompassing Presence.” He said very calmly, and yet again he savored that moment of his magic being actually invisible due to everyone´s sensory. However, Noah could see a small orb of his mana being released onto the place like 15 meters behind the dryads. He would just smile, as the dryads started feeling a strong force pushing them towards the said point. Noah knew they wouldn’t be able to resist, as thankfully they were rather skinny creatures. All of them would roar in a very unfriendly manner, as they tried to resist the force of gravity, however their speed was reduced and they had no chance, only to get sucked to the point of interest, not leaving them much place to actually retaliate. In a short moment all of them would gather at the point, hitting each other and Noah could see how their hits were quite serious, making their bones act so fragile. Once they all seemed rendered unconscious, or rather dead, Noah would stop the spell and turn around to Nix. [break] “So I use Gravity, and my magic is probably invisible for you. What I just did was that I increased the gravity by a heavy amount in once central point, sucking everything within its range towards it. With the sheer pressure they had to endure, they just couldn’t withstand it and are most likely knocked out dead.” He smiled, even though he took no pleasure in doing things like this, it was still easier than potentially damaging himself and his teammate. “If you can go and check on them, it would be great. Then our mission will be most likely finished and we can just go and report it back.” With this, he started walking slowly away from the scene, as if he didn’t want to see what he actually did. His magic was rather brutal, in a way how direct it was.[break] This being done, he would just go on and slowly walk through the forest, waiting for Nix to catch up with him as he would turn around and just smile. “Great job Nix, I am sure you will be great Magic Knight one day.” It was obvious that so far, she wasn’t very powerful, but the way she fought those dryads, heads on was something he really admired. After waving for one last time, he would just walk away with a good sense of another completed mission.[break] [exit]
Elemental Type: Gravity Rank & Spell Type: Intermediate | Attack Creation | Restraining Range & Speed: 40 meters | 10 m/s | AoE 20 meters Mana Cost: 24 | 12 Stats Effected: -5 m/s Speed, Control -5 Applicable Perks: World Binding Description: This spell is activated by Noah pointing his hand onto a place in his sight and saying the name of the spell. After ]that a small orb of his mana is released onto that place and this orb will attempt to draw in everything within the range of 20 meters that is lighter than 600 lbs and no bigger in size than 6 meters. Due to the sheer force of gravity, anything affected with this spell will take intermediate rank of damage in form of moderate bone cracks or minor breaks, as well as become restrained, having their movement speed and control stat lowered. This spell is invisible, as long as the enemy doesn’t have 30 sensory. This spell can be broken via the according Restraining rules, having lowered durability because of it being an AoE. Based on the ammo rules, Noah can create multiple instances of the orbs as long as he has needed control to do so, however only one of the orbs remains AoE.
Pardoning the unmistakable command in his voice, it probably seemed for the best to follow suit and so Nix glided to a peripheral perspective behind Noah. Huffing and puffing, clearly exercising restraint, the young Silver Eagle did as she was told and began to cool off from the battle. Blinking as she was mute witness to what enfolded after, the dryads seemed to slow exceedingly before coming to a complete stop. Which impressed her, making the tiny witch begin to wonder what exactly she had just seen unfold. First they were spiritedly fleeting around, next they were quiet and still. They roared a defiant cry before crumpling into lifeless heaps on the ground, returning eternally to a peaceful sleep bordering on comatose. How horrifying, thought Nix in the recesses of her imagination, such wanton abandon Nix felt after the display of prowess. It was truely a supreme display of skill. Nix had been giving it more or less her best but she paled in drab comparison, mute elation came over her as she brooded in the shadow of a man known as Noah. Not necessarily sulking but completely uncertain as to how to regard such an event. It was as if she were peaking over the horizon, or threshold of what she could only sum up was like witnessing true power. Likening it to taking something in your hand and discarding it like paper, it gave her the heeby-jeebys and made her skin like goose pimples. She listened to his explanation of his magic, with a dazed state of mind, she could neither praise him for his restraint nor could she outright criticise him for his ruthless efficiency It was a hard thing to watch, in no way did it belittle her endeavours but it did make her more mindful of her surroundings, Nix was glad she only berates him as a smarty pants. Which he was, but, a snazzy kind; of smarty pants. Nix’s mouth tugged itself into a sort of half grin before it faltered momentarily and returned to its pragmatic thin line. Approaching the corpses was serenely calming, these poor creatures were subjected to many times more pressure than their feeble bodies could withstand. She had it on good authority that although they were feeble, they were not too much different from a human being. In fact, in some cases they were stronger than Nix, individually. But to have thrown all of them around so easily, it was a fear inspiring performance to say the least. Nix poked one of them with her tippy toe, yep definitely dead. Broken bones. And most certainly dead. Looking over her shoulder as her hair cascaded in the wind, Nix got one last look at the back of Noah as he walked away from the scene he had left here. She was exactly uncertain as to how to receive this moment and her brain did not quite recollect how she should feel about him given the circumstances. But regardless, their work had been done and tilting her tiara back on her head, she christened the moment that she too would return home and collect the reward for their deeds today.
Under her breath Nix spoke a small prayer as more of a blasphemy than a pardonable phrase, “May the King of Clover preserve us, Smarty-Pants…” as she too left the forest. Word Count: 567 Total Word Count: 2614
