The curiosity of scholars have been the cause of great improvements and major leaps in the quality of life but sometimes the opposite is quite true, the Scholars of the Clover kingdom during one of their many expeditions into the underbelly of the surface uncovered a system of caves and ruins. The further they explored the colder the air got no matter how fierce they built their fires or layered their clothing; the ruins slowly grew from unmarred rock and stone to developed corridors and streets. As if they were approaching a city hidden under the ground, the paths grew more to what would be seen in the capital but what was missing was the buzz of the public and the local citizenry and was replaced with a cold, dark empty hum that seemed to unsettle even the hardened veterans of the group. Having a feeling of being watched despite the empty corridors and silent streets, the group of scholars retreated the way they came deciding it was best to have the more qualified to search and explore this discovery. Now it is up to whoever is brave enough to explore this unknown Dungeon.

The entrance to the dungeon is an unassuming and nothing spectacular Cave. Inside this cave is a large and intertwining cavern system that has caused many explorers and scholars to be lost and disoriented it is suggested to have someone good with directions or sensory with the group as to mitigate the risk of being stuck in the dungeon forever.
These ghostly remains of those who have passed float aimlessly through the streets and corridors of the dungeon, they have no interest in where they are going and seem completely content with wandering through this cursed place for all of time. Typically, are very docile till they are attacked or bothered, have an extreme agitation towards anything that produces heat seemingly being angered by the lost life they once had. Unable to take damage from non-magical means.
Seeming more corpse then human with a blue-ish tint and some form of rock-like growth spreading throughout their body, these creatures seem to be re-animated by some kind of magic in the air as they wander from place to place even attack one another from time to time they will attack with a variety of weapons from their claws, teeth and random assortment of mundane weapons. These creatures hate anything living and actively search them out as if they think taking the living’s life will free them from some sort of curse.
This creature looks simply like a giant wolf in the darkest shade of black with piercing amber eyes and fangs as long as the average males’ arm. Its claws are sharp enough to rend steel as if it were parchment, it can detect things by smell with its enhanced senses. This beast is tasked with keeping intruders out of Hel’s domain and will fight to submission or death.

The cave system that the scholars used to discover this dungeon are located in the forsaken region almost hidden by the amount of overgrowth and foliage, but thankfully enough has to been cleared to make for an easy discovery of the path forward. As you enter the cave system the path forward will slowly get darker and darker the farther you go in unless you brought some item that produces light or magic that can make light. The farther you travel into the cave system navigating the path forward from the previously marked indicators on the wall, need at least 20 Sensory to notice the markings if you didn’t bring a light source of some sort. Once you have fully delved into the dungeon and the path turns from cave stone to streets and corridors there will be a chill permeating the air causing a debuff of -1m/s unless there is some source of heat or way to change the temperature applied.

The stoned street is kept maintained but off to the sides as far as the eye can see are various plant life including herbs, rare specimens never seen before and some very odd wildlife but nothing bigger than a small bird can be seen. It is a dazzling sight after going through such a silent, cold, and deserted area. Though it seems that the pleasant feeling air has attracted some of the more violent denizens of this realm. Hel-Walker can be seen shambling to and for wandering as if searching for something. Passing them stealthily or disposing of them is your choice.

In the distance you can see walls stretching to seem what could be forever with only one entry way going forward, as you approach you can see the distant shape of some kind of large beast. Larger than any you have ever seen and probably will ever see in the foreseeable future. It seems that the creature is some kind of guardian of the area as it allows the various Shades to pass it. It will awaken if you get to close and begin its attack. You also notice that some of the shades have started to notice the warm air around you whether from a heat source, change in temperature or your body heat. The Wildlands are a lawless land frequented by those cut from the same cloth as Mania himself. Acting as a hotbed that attracted many rogues, cutthroats, and vagabonds the Wildlands was as dangerous a place one could travel if they weren't one of the aforementioned. Mania felt comfortable traveling these treacherous lands as if he were walking in his own backyard. There weren't many rogues who hadn't heard of Mania and the fact he was a part of the Eclipse Ravens had increased the rogue's infamy quite a bit. Even so, he was a highly regarded rogue known for getting the job done - his track record speaks for itself. Mania was here though for a specific reason and that reason was to test his mettle in the Dungeon aptly named the Underground Kingdom.
The rogue had gained a decent amount of power now and sought to see how far it could carry him, though still Mania felt discouraged at his lack of exponential growth. He was improving steadily, but still, it was not at a rate Mania felt satisfied with. As he made his way towards the entrance to the Underground Kingdom Mania would be smoking a cigarette. The rogue had gotten into contact with the blindfolded rogue named Jin who he had seen at the Eclipse Raven meeting. Though Mania did not talk much with the rogue, the two had met at a lawless tavern within the Wildlands where they discussed tackling the dungeon nearby together. It would be Mania's first time working alongside another member of the Eclipse Ravens that wasn't Jorah or Yemir so he was excited to see how the man operated.
From the young rogue's initial observation he could tell Jin was a very skilled mage due to his mana, but also there was a sense of aloofness that the man had. Mania could not put his finger on what exactly it was, but he was a person who rivaled Jorah in terms of raw power. There were definitely some things Mania figured he could learn from Jin just by watching how he fought. So he was excited about that and seeing the white-haired rogue in action. "So, elephant in the room Jin." Mania would disturb the silent ambiance of the noiseless wildlands by speaking aloud.
"I'm curious as to why you decided to throw in with the Eclipse Ravens?"
Mania would ask the question in his patented roguishly, smooth voice as he took a deep pull and exhaled. To be honest, though, the real question was how did Jin see with that cloth obscuring his vision? Was he blind? Mania wanted to ask that question but abstained because he thought they weren't close enough with the other rogue to warrant a response. Perhaps he would ask after they conquered the Underground Kingdom Mania silently thought as the two Eclipse Ravens arrived at the outskirts just outside the cave's entrance. Mania would stop and take another pull whilst turning to Jin.
"Would say hope yer not scared of the dark but..."
Mania would look at Jin's face but stop short as he exhaled and entered the dim cave cast in sable shadows.
F1R1
As Mania and Jin navigated deeper into the cave, the light from the entrance would slowly be swallowed into darkness until it was completely gone. Thankfully even though visibility was low to almost nonexistent Mania was skilled enough in Sensory magic to not get lost and follow the markers placed on the wall by previous explorers. The cave was like an endless maze or labyrinth and Mania was sure many had become easily lost, while others may have gone mad from the deep darkness if they didn't bring light. Mania wasn't scared of the dark and though he couldn't see he navigated the winding and confusing paths surefooted and confident. As they explored deeper the sensation of cold would become more and more apparent, creeping up the rogue's spine.
Fetching another cigarette from his pack Mania would light it and the ember upon the tip of the tobacco would create a small, faint light in a sea of deafening darkness that emulated a deprivation tank. Sense of sight and direction was almost impossible if one did not have aptitude in Sensory magic. "Is this your first dungeon Jin?" Mania would ask curiously, just to remove the eerie silence that perforated the still cavern atmosphere. He would follow up with another deep, long pull to breathe life into the faint ember that ebbed a small blazing spark of light.
As the two rogues dove deeper into the tenebrous abyss, Mania was sure to keep a lookout for markers so that they knew they were taking the true path. Otherwise, who knew how long they could spend in this sprawling maze of twisting, branching paths? Though the cigarette provided an ember that shone like a beacon in the sable blackness it also served to somewhat warm the rogue as the delved deeper and deeper into the unknown. Unsure of what lied ahead, Mania was sure to keep his wits about him, stepping carefully and cautiously through the cave's spiderweb-like network.
It was impossible to keep track of time as Mania wandered the darkness. It felt like one of his shadows illusions had ensnared himself and he was unable to escape. The rogue could feel the subtle press of his psychosis manifesting as it tried to whisper doubt into his lucid mind. Sowing seeds of discord and deceit. It had been some time since Mania experienced any auditory hallucinations, but the rogue could feel an episode coming. He would ignore the whispers as they begin to become more pronounced and frequent as he walked through the cave. Still, he was using his sensory skills to guide himself and in an attempt to ignore the voices that pressed the barrier of his mind's fortitude.
"Having any trouble with your footing Jin?"
Mania would ask jokingly, but also in a feeble attempt to distract himself. He didn't want to start freaking out and go crazy, not when he was so close to exploring the Underground Kingdom. The rogue would do his best as the cold would become even more pronounced, creeping along the nape of his neck as if a ghost or wraith was hovering overhead behind him. Because Mania was preoccupied with his mental state he had failed to notice the carven walls had been replaced by what appeared to be man-made streets and corridors. It was an unexpected transition that Mania should have expected, but still, it caught him off guard as he would feel the wall, noting the stone had been assuredly shaped by artisans, but who he mused?
Mania was wishing he had more light now, but as they moved onto the cobble path street there was a dim light cast down below. Finishing his tobacco Mania would discard the bud and look towards Jin.
"This place looks amazing..."
The rogue would say aloud as he noticed his breath was visible and realized just how cold this place was. How far had they traveled Mania mused as he looked about, wondering why it was so eerily cold? Mania didn't recognize the type of architecture, but what was also reassuring was the fact the streets were abandoned, absent any type of people or living thing for that matter. Mania had only been in a single dungeon prior to this one and in it, they did come across a man who had sadly become a part of the dungeon causing him to be perpetually a part of it. So when it was conquered, he was destined to be reset with it. As Mania thought about this he wondered if others might have befallen the same fate as that man?

Jin Zhongli
He was getting used to it all, the life away from his large family the Zhongli. It had been months now since he decided to to move on his own, and as he put it follow his own path is what he told his mother. She never agreed to it, but the fact that he's still out here alive and not captured by her shows that she has come to terms with it. At least for now. While his mother was the leader of the large criminal family, she was nurturing to her children until a certain point of course. For now he was alright, but it was only a matter of time before his mother would make moves to bring him back home. But he didn't have to think about that at all today, today his focus was on other things.
Through connections and conversations Jin found himself in a particular place he hadn't seen a very long time. The Wildlands located on the far outer rim of the entire Outer lands furthest from everything in Clover. Being back here put a smile on the white haired rogues face, as memories started to flood in the first time he saw the Wildlands when he was a child. His older brother Kiro brought all of his other brother's and sisters at the time to see it as a world exploration training. Kiro called it the true home of the rogues, and the landscape was so large and vast that many things here have not yet been discovered. This amazed Jin tremendously when he was a child, and it still has the same effect now when he's older.
But now he had plans in place for this land, in his mind this large landscape was the future of many many things. And one of the sole reason's behind most of his decisions the past few months as well. It would take allot of time and planning before these plans he had can be set in place, but they would be and he was sure of it. He will see it through, or he will die trying that was his fate.
Jin was not here alone though, he was partnered with a certain individual who was either a current ally or a future one. It was a rather confusing time right now, but he was with another member of the Eclipse Ravens, Mania. He know of him cause his reputation as a rogue had grown steadily fast also he remembered as one of the people that completed the first test they were sent out on. Now that he thought it wasn't often Jin had partnered with another rogue that wasn't in his family or Aeila or...Echo. So this was rather exciting for him, he wanted to meet more rogues like him that were capable and smart. Mania seemed to have that written all over him, sensing the power from him he was strong and had tons of potential. The two were in a similar boat in terms of strength right now, and it was safe to say they were both looking for ways to get a lot stronger.
Mania asked him a question putting an end to the silence around them, asking on why he decided to join the Eclipse Ravens. "Oh hmm, good question. But it's probably nothing you haven't heard before." Jin started to answer him, both his hands were in his jacket pockets but he took his left hand out and starting holding up fingers as he listed the reasons, a smirk appearing on his lips. "Connections, influence... power and... let's throw the word fun in there. Those would be the main four, The Ravens can be looked at as a top tier organization with near limitless potential and possibilities. And it can be used to accomplish many things. It's not perfect, but it can work. It also looked like fun." that was Jin's answer to the question. He didn't want to get into to much heavy detail on his personal reasons as to why and what exactly he had planned while working with the Eclipse Ravens. At least right now, it was nothing against Mania personally but he usually kept those cards close to his chest. But that was a suitable enough answer to give Mania and idea on how Jin saw it. "And what about you? Why throw in with the Ravens?" Jin asked the same question to the young man.
The two ravens would then arrive at their destination looking at the caves entrance, Mania commented and hoped Jin wasn't afraid of the dark and stopped mid sentence referring to the blind fold over the rogues eyes. Jin had sharp smile on his face when he heard that, still looking at the caves entrance "Haaa. You're funny. No no one is afraid of the dark here." he said taking steps forward entering the cave, the smile never leaving his face.
F1R1
Walking through the cave as the light started to dim, and the warmth fading away. This dungeon even in the beginning was not going to be kind to them at all, but this pleased Jin. As more strength and skill is brought out in the toughest of times. It began to get so dark though and relying on eye sight alone would fail you, but his sensory was more than high enough to navigate with it alone. His sensory skills while comfortably high for a mage of his stage, it was still steadily improving and probably his second or third most used skill. Navigating through this darkness was rather easy for him, while the chills of cold air were unpleasant to feel against his skin. He seemed unfazed by it, his training in the House of Zhongli prepared him for all kinds of weather conditions. Working, fighting, stealing in harsh cold conditions was nothing new to him.
It was here Jin thought it was a good idea to use his relic's element, a long spear that was strapped to his back. Held the element of light and while he didn't really need it to see, just maybe Mania did. But he would ask first before anything. "My spear it has light spells in case you need it to see, but from what I can tell you probably don't. Figure I mention it, just in case." Jin said to Mania letting his partner know that he does have access to some light if needed.
As they continued to walk along the path of the cave, it was getting noticeably darker and even colder. His senses obviously alert to navigate but considering his last time in a dungeon an attack from anything can come from anywhere, so he was on guard. He heard Mania's question if this was a first dungeon, and it wasn't it was just his second one. His thoughts reminding him what it was like going through the jungle maze like dungeon for the first time. "No this would be the second one now, there was one in The Fringe I stumbled upon randomly actually. It kind of catches you off guard. There was these...ancient looking beasts inside of it. It was fun. The stuff I left with once I got the end was worth it, i'm hoping this one will be even more rewarding." Jin said ending his sentence with a smile. "And you? This your first run into one?" he asked the same question.
The cave and darkness continued and almost seemed never ending, he could tell not many people have made it this far at all. But for him this was just bringing back memories of old training methods he had to do growing up. Cold winter nights in the Forsaken Region with an illusion spell that completely blinded his eyes, relying on nothing more than sound and natural mana sensory. Training was tough, but if one had the fortitude they could find their way through it. A small smile was on his face as these memories came back to him, he was proud to be a member of the Zhongli.
"No, no trouble over here. This isn't really new for me. We should be close though, from what I can tell. " Jin replied to the smoking rogue in a casual tone of voice. He steps were quick but each one picked carefully as to not trip over anything and avoid and spike poking out of the walls and ceilings of the cave. But eventually the stalagmites started to come to an end, and it was replaced with man-made streets and corridors. Finally, entered the rogues mind as he finding that seemingly endless walk quite annoying. Doing this alone would have been a complete bore, luckily Mania was with him and there was some interesting conversations that happened. The rogue beside him was good company.
"I would have to agree." Jin replied to Mania's words about the setting before them being beautiful. As always this was a nice change of pace for Jin, usually his ventures and jobs deal with blood, poison and the shadows that surround them. Even though they navigated through all that darkness it was worth it to see this alone. But this types of constructions, buildings and markings on them was not familiar at all. It had to be extremely old or very foreign to Clover at least. A weird sensation of new discovery swept over Jin this was a new feeling for him, and he enjoyed it quite a bit. But of course this place was lifeless not a human or anything in sight. The white haired rogue continue to walk forward though admiring the architecture around him.

Jin had posed the same question to Mania as they had made their way to their query and the rogue was more than happy to offer a response. A smile would press the young rogue's lips as he spoke coolly.
"Speaking candidly... It was for much of the same things: influence, connections, power, and just some plain ole fun~" It was hard for a rogue to hack it alone, given that their direct competitors - The Magic Knight's often operated in small groups. So for Mania, it had been a no-brainer to throw in with what appeared to be the most prominent rogue organization within Clover. They had pull and reach far beyond what Mania had access to, so it just made sense for him. Of course, he had loftier goals than playing patsy for an organization his entire career, but it would prove to be an integral stepping stone for him.
"Before the Ravens, I was pretty much on my own, it's hard to find decent guys and gals to work with ya know. Especially in our line of work, but when your a part of an esteemed and well-oiled machine like the Eclipse Raven's, Yul and status will follow ya? " F1R1 Prior --
"No one here is afraid of the dark remember?"
Mania would say in response and though the dark did little to slow the two Raven's progress, Mania was fine with using his sensory skills to navigate. He was sure Jin himself was just as fine as he was in regards to using sensory to operate the darkly shrouded and uneven terrain. Though if they were to run into any monsters or creatures that went bump in the night, the light would of course become a godsend. Mania didn't want to become injured while trying to fight ghoulies and ghosties in sable black of the cavern systems.
"This is my second. A while back I challenged the Dungeon named Beautiful Disaster. It was a curious experience for my first foray into dungeoneering and it was inside the body of a massively enormous Treant. I had never before come across such strange and bizarre creatures and I'm expecting much the same for this dungeon as well." F1R2
As the two rogues continued the temperature was rising steadily as if they were back atop the surface. The massively long stone street was well kept and maintained, but to the side off the beaten path, the surrounding area adjacent to their walkway was overrun with lush foliage. Some of the plant life looked interesting enough and he did not recognize a lot of them granted he was far from a herbalist or specialist. Though Mania could tell that some of these definitely did not grow on the surface. Mania would stop for a brief moment and inspect the various flowers, though he would be sure to abstain from touching any of them for fear of being poisoned or worse.
Looking around Mania also noticed small birds, but whatever species it might have been he could not tell. His sharp hazel eyes would focus to the distance. He could feel that the mana in the air had been greatly disturbed, Mania was sure Jin could sense it as well.
"I can sense something nearby Jin. Lot's of somethings..."
Mania would emphasize as he stood to his feet and slowly, but carefully continued, he would notice the walking pale blueish corpses covered in odd, rock-like growths. They looked like fallen people reanimated by strange magic he mused, looking to Jin. There were 10 of the creatures lumbering about Mania thought to himself as he would retrieve the gorgeously designed, ornate, silver dagger from the small of his back. They had yet to see the two rogues who had detoured into the plant-covered fields. Watching them from the brush and shrubbery, Mania would pause briefly and watch them stumble about. They seemed more or less dumb and would even take potshots at one another as their paths crossed. Perhaps the two rogues could avoid wasting mana so early on inside the dungeon.
"Jin, I think we can avoid fighting right here if we stick to these fields. The plants and bushes can mask our visibility, though I'm unsure how skilled these monsters are at sensing mana. I can mask my own signature."
Mania would say in a low tone as he peeked back over the bush he had ducked behind. The creatures were mostly collected on the road, but Mania noticed he could just go around them altogether. Mania would subdue his own mana through (coldblooded) and begin to move through the various foliage and overgrowth. He was sure to stick low and out of sight and went far enough away from the main road so that he wouldn't be seen. As he steadily progressed, Mania would be sure to take glances at the main road to keep a wary eye out for any of the monsters in case they stumbled away from the main road and onto the off-beaten path. Continuing, Mania was making steady ground through the dense and plentiful foliage that consisted of various brightly colored plants. Some were foreign-looking while others he recognized from his time traveling throughout the land of Clover's Kingdom.
Sneaking past the blue-tinted creatures was proving easy enough Mania mused as he noticed the field he and Jin had been stealthily traversing seemed almost boundless. It stretched out further than his hazel eyes could see. Mania would be sure to cut back in the direction the main road was, seeing no need to dig further into the terrain of the field. Absentmindedly Mania hadn't noticed the voices he was so fearful of rising to the surface had seemingly vanished. Mania was surprised because usually when he would feel the onset of an episode it was typically unavoidable, but something was different he thought. Had he grown mentally stronger? The rogue doubted that sense he was on the fritz of succumbing so it had to be something else for sure he would muse, lost in deep thought.
"Definitely doesn't appear like they have great skill in sensing mana so stealthily moving past them was the right call. Though I wouldn't have minded a bit of action"
Mania teased as they were looping back around. He was still sure to stick to the more dense part of the overgrowth and bushes so that visibility of him would remain low. Mania couldn't help but wonder if the creatures were perhaps the dead denizens of this Underground Kingdom? It was still very much a working theory, but one Mania thought could hold some truth to it. Given how abandoned the place was being devoid of human life he wouldn't be surprised if they had met some ill-fated fate and now roamed the dungeon as creatures of the undead. It was a sad outcome if it was true Mania mused, feeling sorry for them for a brief moment. That only begged the question of what other monsters lurked deep, down below the surface of the world in this dungeon? And if they too were perhaps the last remaining twisted remnants of a fallen people?
Having stealthily circumnavigated the undead Mania would emerge from the lush foliage and overgrowth. Being sure to first look to make sure the coast was clear once he ascertained that, Mania would once more be back upon the man road. They were now far away enough from the undead to where they wouldn't notice or be able to see the two of them. Mania however was sure to still keep a mindful eye out in front of him so that they would not be caught off guard. "Easy enough right Jin? I have to say though, I'm of the sneaking disposition that that undead may very well be the remnants of a fallen people. Probably reanimated by some type of magic, but the real question is by who I wonder?" Mania would reveal his thoughts to Jin, hopefully, the white-haired rogue could offer more insight into the situation. And if his theory was correct were and who were the people that once lived in this magnificent kingdom? The thought was bouncing around Mania's mind and he was unable to pocket his current musings.

"In the body of a treant? That's definitely on the bizarre side, maybe i'll make some time to visit that one soon." Jin replied to Mania's explanation of the dungeon he went through. Dungeons from what he knew now, were very odd and dangerous expeditions that were very rewarding if you could make it out alive. There was nothing a rogue like needed more, than expensive items and endless yul. Not only for his own personal pleasures, but for the future as well. For Jin there was nothing wrong with having more.
The two ravens continued walking through the dungeon, and the temperature started to rise to be warmer. Jin noticed the change and how his speed was basically back to normal for now. The area around them was more pleasant to the eye with fields of lush green plants and things alike. They were walking down the stone street that was surprisingly well maintained, on the sides of them was numerous plants and green life. These kind of plants were not seen before by him, he had some knowledge on plants basically the ones to avoid. But these he had no idea, so he kept his distance to play it safe. Same went for the creatures, the birds of other life flying around.
But as they continued to walk down, it was only a matter of time before the threats that loomed in this place started to make themselves known. Or the two sensory mages found out about them. Mania gave warning about some dangers that might be present nearby, Jin nodded signaling that he could feel it to. The continued but on guard now, and eventually the enemy came to eye. Blueish human corpses it looked like, with a not so pleasant to the eye rock like growth protruding from their bodies. They were reanimated bodies, it reminded Jin of Aeila's wraith magic but her magic was different from this. The wraiths she conjured looked near identical to what they looked like in their life, it was quite impressive. The white rogue smirked thinking what the necromancer would think of these rotting like corpses.
Hearing Mania's suggestion, Jin smirked in agreement. "I like the way you think, Mania. I'll follow your lead." he replied following his fellow ravens lead on this. While Jin like to have a good fight every once in a while, when it could be avoided especially in a place like this he would take the opportunity. Why waste energy and mana, when you can save it for the fights down the line. The fact that Mania suggested as well, was proving this working relationship could turn out well. In their line of work, finding adequate and trustworthy partners was very difficult. Especially ones with similar ways of approaching things, he just hoped the rest of the ravens were of similar mindsets.
Jin followed Mania's lead perfectly, relying on stealth was like breathing to him. He did nearly everyday, the rogue masked his mana signature as well but didn't use the special skill of his to do so. He deemed the sensory of these beings to be rather subpar, and simply masked his presence the old fashioned way. Mania confirmed it their mana sensory was poor, so sneaking by for the two skilled rogues was rather easy as long as they kept low and to the fields.

Once a good enough position Jin stood fully looking around, feeling the warmth of the air dispersing and it feeling very cold again. It was an annoyance more than anything, the sheer cold while he could ignore it, it effected his speed. In fact this cold air was worse than the previous one he could increase his speed further to make up the difference if needed.
"It definitely seemed that way, but with magic it's hard to tell. But I would agree the corpses looked like it could have been wraith magic, or some kind of summoner's or golem spell just designed to look dead. But maybe thats overthinking it. We'll probably get our answer as to who, by the end. But this place is anything but natural, the sudden shifts in temperatures. The fact the plant and animal life still continues to thrive is very questioning. I have to admit though figuring out how these dungeons are fabricated is part of their charm." Jin replied to Mania with a smile on his face. It was easy to tell he was having fun with all this, and they didn't even get to fight anything yet.
As the ravens would look forward, the walls seemed endless now but the path forward was clear. Because of his sensory Jin could already sense that something big was up ahead, and he decided it was best to warn Mania now. "The bit of action you were requesting is up ahead it seems like, and thats the only forward." Jin said to at least prepare him. But quickly Jin's attention turned to the ghostly dark covered being that wandered around aimlessly, it looked like another form of an undead human but it was different from the ones before. For now it seemed to pay them no mind oddly enough.
Jin kept walking forward on his guard for whatever was up ahead, his spear now in his left hand ready for use. Eventually the rogue stopped walking as the large being started to make it's appearance. With his blindfold it was impossible to tell but his bright blue eyes widened for a moment, sensing the large beast in the distance. It was tall giant black wolf, that slowly walked down the large pathway it's eyes looking at Mania and Jin. A sharp whistle came from Jin's lips followed up by a comment. "Thats a big wolf, but surely there is more than just a big dog."
As if things weren't already getting out of hand, the dead flowing corpses that seemed to pay them no mind started to halt their movements. The hooded beings each turning their heads looking at the ravens, causing Jin to smile. "Ask and you shall receive." was his slick comment on seeing them move towards them now. The excessively large wolf and the shades were still a distance away, leaving the duo a few seconds to talk. "Little time for a battle plan, let's just see how we do." the white haired rogue said quickly with a smirk, using his left hand he simply pointed an open palm forward. "Raim." The rogue said simply activating his void rift spell creating four dark blue rifts that resembled a long cracked line one would find in a wall. With a simple twist of his wrist, the three rifts moved instantly to strike four different shades. They each did noteworthy damage but it failed to put them down completely. This was disappointing to him as the power behind the attacks failed to split the shades in two as he intended. "Mmmm that was dissapointing, they are tougher than they look." But this was why he was here, to test himself and get stronger. To get better.
"Vephar." Jin instantly activated another spell as this room was not to be taken lightly at all, this spell would not only increase his speed but it would also summon three ethereal void blades to his side. With a swipe of his arm he sent all three blades forward aimed at three of the four shades he hit earlier. Now with the added damage the three shades were split in half from the blades, finally taking down three of the eight that were approaching them. And that seemed to throw the giant wolf into attack mode, as it was no longer taking it's time coming down. But now running towards the duo. Jin quickly reached behind him to his lower back, and pulled out a long dagger wasting no time throwing his weapon with elite precision right at the large wolfs head. The knife hit it's mark piercing it's head damaging it, but it was not enough to kill it. The attack slowed it down for a few seconds, but it would gather itself and start to run towards them again!

Description: Further expanding what he can do with rifts, Raim is a spell that is very much similar to Oriax and Seere before it. 'Split the convergence, creating divergence' Creating a rift anywhere in his visual sight with a maximum distance of forty meters. Swiping his arm with an open palm, or pushing an open palm forward he creates a rift. Raim is literally cutting a space between those two points, creating a split. It cannot be used on a living being or inside them, but when used on physical matter not backed by magic Jin is literally able to split walls, doors, floors, objects and items in half. Using his control Jin is able to move the rifts around freely to also strike a target causing intermediate cutting damage. Jin can create a 'split' right in front of him and fire it off at an intended target. The rift is 6 meters tall and dark blue in color, and it resembles a long line crack one would find in a wall. Raim can appear in an instant like manner due to the nature of this magic, the rift does take the time to form at a position based on the distance of the caster and the speed of a spell of the same rank. Following ammo rules, Jin can create more rifts in accordance to his control.
The warmth that had once permeated the atmosphere had been stolen by cold hands. Mania's breath was visible once more he would silently note as he rubbed his hands together. Mania was confused by the shift in the climate, but what mattered more was what had been causing such drastic changes. Jin would speak up, warning Mania of the impending danger that lurked up ahead. Feeling out the area before them with his sensory talents, Mania would nod as he cracked his hands in anticipation - a sickening pop echoing throughout the underground network.
The young rogue would follow Jin's lead and example, drawing the sleek, silver ornate dagger and spinning it deftly within his palm. Ghostly, ethereal creatures aimlessly roamed this floor, though they seemed disinterested in the two Raven's, Mania had a feeling that it would be short-lived as they progressed deeper. Mania's breath was almost stolen from his agape mouth - a massively large wolf was in the distance and it easily dwarfed the two men in size and ferocity. Jin appeared to relish in the challenge, which inspired Mania to want to try his best, but Jin would be the first to act. He started by unleashing a spell with an odd name in a language Mania did not recognize.
It was the rogue's first time witnessing the magic that appeared to split space-time itself as multiple rifts opened within the air and attacked the now converging Shades. Though it wasn't enough to destroy the creatures Mania had been impressed with the void element and its destructive capacity. Mania wouldn't let Jin steal the show completely as he joined in. Mana would rise and breathe power into his grimoire that hovered aloft before him. "Hydrargyrum Hunter!" Mania would speak aloud, holding his arm outwards with his palms facing above. Liquid mercury would be birthed from the rogue's grimoire as it pooled onto the ground only to reshape and forge itself into a smooth, faceless humanoid golem. Mentally Mania ordered the creation to attack the Shades. His golem appeared to have the advantage in power and speed as it went to wor clawing at the Shades with its massive front arms and razor-sharp claws.
By this time Jin had managed to slay three of the eight Shades which seemed to send Garmr into a rabid frenzy. Its gait would quicken as the giant wolf barreled towards them. Jin would fetch a dagger and throw it towards Garmr where it would strike true in the monster's temple, but that only angered the beast more and slowed it briefly. In the meanwhile Mania's golem had slain three of the Shades. It was able to avoid the majority of attacks thanks to the large gap in their respective speed, but still, two more Shades remained. Mania would let the golem deal with the remaining two and instead, he turned his attention to Garmr who was approaching quickly.
"Mercury Magic: Marrow of the Moon, Silver Hand!"
Holding his free hand out the lumbering beast Garmr would slam into the mercury forged silver hand and have its forward momentum offset by Mania's spell. The beast recoiled and was staggered for a brief moment that would prove to be the window of opportunity for Mania and Jin to act. Sprinting forth Mania leaped into action.
"Now while the beast is staggered Jin!" As the rogue shouted, he would tighten his grip upon the gorgeously designed dagger and drive into the beast's side. Running along the length of Garmr's body the dagger carved into its flesh inflicted junior rank damage. Garmr bellowed in pain as it unleashed a fearsome roar, but Mania knew it was mere bravado as the beast was severely injured. Meanwhile, Mania's predator golem made short work of the last two Shades by tearing them apart with its massive claws. Mania would mentally command the golem to assist him, but the large paw of Gramr would catch the golem and send it flying back. It's wild, erratic movements would cause Mania to jump away to safety and reassess the situation.

It was time to finally see what the other raven, Mania was capable of and he did not disappoint. The mercury mage wasted no time in summoning his golem that started to cut down the numbers of shades in the room. Seeing his instincts in battle fortified his thoughts that Mania would make for a reliable and strong ally going forward. Jin had managed to stun the giant wolf just for a moment, and Mania took advantage of the opportunity. Creating a defense spell with his mercury magic, Garmr slammed into it breaking it. But it's purpose was served as defending them from the attack. With a flick of his arm, Jin recalled his three void blades back to surround him with his spell Zephar still active.
The white haired was spinning his light golden spear in his left hand between his fingers, waiting second by second for that perfect opportunity. Mania had managed to wound it with his ornate designed knife, and he was attempting to finish it off with his golem. But the Garmr had landed a solid blow on the golem, and that was the perfect time to strike it down for good. Jin running towards the beasts right side, with his increased speed easily catching it off guard. Spinning his spear he switched hands now holding it with his right hand, the rogue pounced into the air and with a strong and wide swing he slashed the wolf's right shoulder leaving a deep and damaging slash that was more than enough to finally buckle it down. Jin was about to strike again, before he stopped his attack realizing the large beast was finally dead.
Jin casually grabbed his knife that was lodged into the beast's skull, and swiped the blood off before sheathing back to his lower back. There was no remorse on Jin's face for killing the beast. But he did not want to disrespect it, the large wolf was simply doing it's job but it was in the way. He then turned towards Mania. "So golem and defensive spells? Very handy." Jin said to him with a grin. Jin was always jealous of defensive based mages, as he had no defensive spells in his grimoire at all. "I don't have any defensive spells, I'm mostly only good for offense. But I've got some tricks up my sleeve." Jin said with a grin on his face, while walking towards the next floor.

Walking down the entryway more and more shades started appear, it put them in a odd situation cause now they knew these things will attack but it was only a matter of when. For now it was the safest decision to not make the first move, since they weren't attacking Jin took the time to look around and take in the surroundings. There was a strong feeling in his spine that something or something was watching them very closely. And it almost felt as of the two ravens had entered into a completely different space, Jin was starting to suspect this was more than just a underground fallen kingdom. But it wasn't fear that was in mind, it was an increased curiosity. He wanted to know what was this plane they had entered, and what was it's purpose.
Where were all these shades heading, and where exactly did they come from? It made the most sense that they would be from the kingdom themselves and now their souls are left here to head into a certain destination. But what was it? Thinking back to the large wolf they had just managed to defeat, what was it protecting? Were they not allowed to enter this place? "Coming here was a very good decision. Don't you think so Mania?" Jin asked out loud as this dungeon had not failed to interest him, and he wondered if the other raven had a similar mindset.
He continued to walk down the path, and eventually a bridge of ice and frost came into view. Then it hit him, or at least his wild idea of this place was. The cold temperatures, the dead like beings walking down a straight path, a large beast protecting the entrance. This was the entrance to the afterlife, or seemingly so. "Mania do you believe in the afterlife? A place for souls to go and rest?" Jin asked mercury mage. "This dungeon may be some kind of imitation of that, or maybe it's the real thing. I don't know. But whatever it is this underground Kingdom has allot more than meets the eye." Jin said to him, but his focus was on the bridge and shades that were passing by.
Eventually though a group of shades, started to make their way towards the two ravens. A nice number of eight of them moving at the same slow speeds as before, now Jin was no longer inconvenienced by the sheer cold of the room before so moving around was allot easier. Knowing these shades while slow, were pretty durable. With a flick of his arm in their direction, he sent his three void energy blades in their direction to damage them. Hitting three Jin used the same arm and activated his spell, "Raim." four dark blue colored rifts in the space emerged right beside four of the shades including the three damaged with his blades. The three shades were split in half instantly as the rifts cut through them effortlessly. As for the fourth one that he targeted, the rogue used his increased speed and dashed towards it catching it off guard. He pounced into the air and came down landing a powerful kick to it's head, and once it was down he stabbed it with his long golden spear killing it.

In a spectacular display of deft skill, Jin flourished the golden spear expertly as he leap into the air. The white-haired rogue would power the tip of his spear through the beast's tough fur hide, just along the bone of the shoulder before running it through deeply. Gramr bellowed in its death throes as it could no longer carry its massive size and buckled beneath its own weight. Mania watched keenly as Gramr flickered in and out of consciousness before finally resting eternally. Silence fell upon the room before Mania would disturb the noiseless ambiance with a loud, echoing whistle of admiration. The rogue was thoroughly impressed with Jin's unique finesse and Void magic. It made for an entertaining spectacle he would silently muse to himself as Jin spoke out.
"Yup... all I'm good for really. I'm sure you do, we're complete opposites. I lack any real firepower so I think we complement each other nicely. I can be the shield and you the proverbial spear~"
Mania would produce a fox-like grin that flashed his white teeth. His roguish voice is cool and musical in pitch.
Mania was the opposite truly as he had always held a high degree of envy towards more offensively inclined mages. Often wishing he had more means of destructive force. Though when it came down to it the rogue never cursed his defensive talents as they had on more than one occasion saved his skin. Mania would follow Jin, glancing back for a final moment to steal one last look at the mighty wolf Gramr. Though he did not slay the enormous wolf alone, Mania still reveled in the act of sending Gramr to meet its maker. There was a small level of satisfaction in the act that was almost better than a hit of dopamine from one of his cigarettes. F2R1
*
Down the spacious entryway Mania went alongside Jin.
There was a plethora of Shades roaming, but they seemed disinterested in the pair of ravens as they went about their business. Mania would look around curiously, confused as to why they had yet to converge on them? It was a strange phenomenon the rogue would muse as he looked about. If they weren't gonna attack it would probably be best to simply leave them to their own devices Mania thought, noticing Jin was probably of a similar mindset to him., the rogue would decide to do just that. The further they descended into the sable darkness of the Underground Kingdom, the more Mania felt his curiosity piqued by the unknown. It appeared something interesting lurked around every bend of the complex cavern system. From the unique flora to the undead that roamed in endless perpetuity. It was all fresh and exciting Mania would ruminate internally.
"I certainly believe so. The Underground Kingdom Is as fascinating as I believed it to be and more. The place has a haunting beauty to it, something that really speaks to me aesthetically."
Speaking candidly Mania would look about as if he were a child struck by wanderlust. Mania would continue alongside Jin, allowing him to take the lead in front as he followed close by behind. Shortly thereafter the two would happen upon a large bridge of forged rime. Listening to Jin speak, the gears in Mani's head would click - it all was coming together in a vivid picture of clarity. How did he miss the symbolism in the Underground Kingdom? It wasn't too far a reach Mania thought as he understood the tangent of thought Jin was pivoting to. Exhaling Mania would watch his frosted breath unfurl - the cold produced goosebumps on his neck and chilled his spine till the rogue shivered.
"I wouldn't say I'm much of a pious man, but I believe there's something waiting for us at the end... "
Mania buried his hands within the pockets of his pants - there was a hint of somberness somewhere within his words. His hazel eyes would drift towards the dark blue icy bridge and the Shades that wandered about, passing the two men. "You think they're the souls of the people that once lived here? Twisted and malformed by malignant magic?" Mania would pause, almost lost in a trance from staring at the deep frosted blue of that bridge that beautifully mirrored his reflection. "If we somehow did stumble into the realm of death itself, I'd say we're going home with one hell of a story~" Mania would decide to lighten the heavy atmosphere with some uplifting words. Though they were mostly said aloud for his own sake as he had been heavily pondering upon darker thoughts that he did not want to shift the scales of his fragile psyche.
As the two rogues attempted to cross the frozen bridge the shades that were gathered finally seemed to take notice of them, the cold air that was prominent was now but a thought. If Mania had remembered correctly the Shades didn't seem bothered by them while it was cold and when it wasn't they were riled into action. It was interesting, but Mania wouldn't have much time to ponder longer as the time for idle thought had passed. It was now the moment for action. Jin was the first to jump headfirst into the fray, Mania would smile sheepishly drawing the sublime ornate, silver dagger from its sheath. Out of the 8 Shades that were ambushing them on the bridge Jin was dealing with 4 of them, which left Mania with 4 of his own. The rogue was more than happy to pull his own weight.
"Fervor Mei Sanguis!"
The mercury dagger would ripple before it softened and the liquid silver reassembled itself into a long-range whip. It was the perfect weapon for groups of enemies clustered together as he could hit multiple targets from a safe distance and easily control space. Mania would crack the silver liquid whip and with a subtle flick of his wrist, the whip would snap powerfully. Swinging his arm across his body the silver forged weapon would cut through 3 of the 4 Shades, damaging them, but it wasn't enough to dispatch them. They were tough buggers Mania mused, but still, they were but fodder before the skills of Mania and Jin. Bringing the whip back in the direction it came it would snap at an almost blinding speed, tearing right through the 3 Shades that were encroaching upon Mania's position on the bridge.
The Shades would be torn in half by the sharp body of Volumen Hydrargyrum, leaving just a final one. Mania would crack the whip back and send the tip of the whip directly through the final remaining Shades body. The silver whip would pierce the Shade by forming into a completely solid shape with no bend whatsoever. With it buried in the Shade's amorphous form Mania would bring the whip up and cause it to splinter the Shade's form and cause it to be vanquished. With all of the enemies nearby defeated Mania would stop feeding mana to his weapon and turn to Jin who had already taken down his share. In his time as a rogue, he hadn't seen too many people if any wield a spear as their weapon of choice and he had been surprised to find Jin using one so expertly. He looked more like a dagger guy to Mania, which he did use though more as a sidearm than anything.
"Your'e pretty handy with that spear Jin, it has quite the design~"
Mania spoke coolly, showing off a few tricks with his dagger by spinning it within his palm before sheathing it. Mania very much liked the design of his own weapon. Mania named it Volumen Hydrargyrum because it has a mercury-plated metal hilt that is composed of different figures: the quillons are shaped like a winged dragon, the handgrip looks like a serpentiform body, and the pommel depicts the head of the wizard. The design was simply gorgeous and the fact that it was created especially for him made him love the dagger all the more. Mania would begin to continue crossing the bridge.

The disturbance earlier would bring more to the party it seemed. There seemed to be more creatures chasing the two ravens from behind. It appeared like they had been followed far from the previous floors of the dungeon much to Mania's dismay. He would glance back and sigh as he noted the number of enemies hot upon the two's heels. There were 6 more Shades and 4 Hel- Walkers. More of the same Mania would muse to himself as he glanced towards seeing how long the bridge carried on to see if they could possibly escape them, but even that wouldn't probably be wise as they would simply just keep following the rogues. Mania thumbed his lip impatiently as he pondered what to do. His mana was already getting lower than what he wanted to expend and given how much more they had to explore the rogue couldn't afford to waste much more on fodder meant to simply impede their adventure by slowing them.
It looked like he was gonna be doing this the old fashion way he thought, once more drawing the coveted dagger he had just been so lovingly thinking about. Though he wouldn't be transforming it, the magical dagger was still useful in the correct hands. He turned to Jin, a roguish smile creeping upon his visage. He wondered what else Jin had up his sleeves, until now it looked as if he was holding back still, or at least experimenting for fun. Mania couldn't blame the guy. It was rare to be afforded opportunities in which one could test the limits of their capabilities or in this case, maybe he just wanted to try out some spells he didn't often use? Whatever the deal was Mania would be the first to charge forward on the bridge. Dagger in hand Mania would take off in a quick gait, throwing his dagger at the first Hel-Walker that was leading the small pack.
The dagger would lodge itself into the monster's body and would be followed by Mania who tackled the Hel-Walker to the ground and retrieved his dagger. Finishing the job the rogue would plunge it once more in its body until movement stopped. He didn't have time to stand idly crouched over the first defeated foe. The subsequent Hel-Walker would take a swing at Mania who would clumsily roll backward and onto the balls of his heels before delivering a powerful kick that would send it over the edge. The sound of the Hel-Walkers indistinguishable grunts would echo as it plummeted into the tenebrous chasm below. There would be no sound to herald its impact with the ground so it must have been quite the fall Mania mused as he focused back on the action at hand.
"If you could deal with the six Shades coming from the opposite direction it'd be much appreciated." Mania was not much of a physical fighter, one could tell from how his exasperated breaths were weaved in among his hurried words to Jin. Mania could deal with the Hel-Walkers just fine with just Volumen Hydrargyrum, but the Shades were much tougher in their constitution and he figured Jin would be able to handle them no problem from the way he carried himself. Mania would avoid the sluggish combo attacks from the 2 remaining Hel-Walkers as he slipped close inside the one directly in front of him. The monster attempted a downward slash with a rusty, worn hatchet, but Mania would manage to parry it and retaliate with three quick strikes in succession. Just one more left he thought as he pivoted on his feet and barely dodged the hammer from the last Hel-Walker.
'Close one~'
Mania thought mentally as he exchanged clashing blows with the Hel-Walker, the sound of singing steel filled the battle tense ambiance on the bridge. Mania smiled as he ascertained his opening and ducked low, rolling beneath a wide swing he would bury the silver blade into the head of the Hel-Walker and repeatedly stab it until death ushered the creature home. The Hel-Walker was no longer moving as Mania breathed heavily overtop the corpse. He was tired, but at least he conserved mana he thought as he looked up through his now unkempt hair. The side of the bridge they had come from was now clear, so he would turn to Jin and see how the rogue was faring, though he was certain Jin would have no problems.

The blindfolded rogue pulled his spear out of the shades neck, and watched as his dispersed into mist. Hearing Mania's comments about his spear work, made him chuckle. He originally stole the spear from a magic knight, because he liked the design and he also liked the spells the knight was able to use with it. The spear being a relic made things kind of tricky, but in the end it worked out. The thing was he didn't plan on having the spear for much longer, his plan was to trade it to the Black Market for a good price once he got around to it. But life had simply been to busy as of late. "Appreciate it! But to be honest, it's not really my style. Gonna sell it to the Black Market once the time is right. But for now it is quite useful." Jin answered his fellow rogue.
"But you say you lack any real fire power, from the looks of it. Your use of golem magic, and that nice dagger of yours you got plenty of fire power. Maybe not in the traditional sense, but your skills make up for it. Don't sell yourself short." Jin gave Mania his praise, it was common for the rogue to evaluate the potential of others and give them encouragement. He did for each and everyone of his siblings back home, the House of the Zhongli while when completing missions were as cold as anyone else. But as for the family itself they all loved and supported one another. Their mother built the foundation of the house on putting the family before anything or anyone else. So encouragement and praise was no issue for when it was needed. The stark haired rogue missed his brothers and sisters.
But these thoughts never wavered his focus, the other shades in the room seemed to pay them no mind. Which was for the best, while they were slow they were very durable and they had a high number count. So they were quite annoying to face, at least they done for now.

But apparently the rogue thought to soon, as the duo was making it's way across the bridge. All the fighting and commotion must have been pretty loud, as the hel-walkers from the rooms way back started to run after them. The He-walkers looked pretty frail, but they moved faster than the shades so they were still pretty dangerous. Speaking of shades it seemed they weren't done just yet as six more of them started to slowly make their towards the duo. Mania's sigh was followed by sigh of Jin's own. "These things are starting to get rather annoying." he said out loud.
He saw Mania wielding his dagger but in more old fashioned way, the steel blue haired rogue moved quickly. Throwing his dagger piercing the head of the first hel walker than immediately talking it down to the ground and stabbing it once again. He wasn't bad at the physical combat! It was clear it wasn't his focus, but he surely handle himself. It reminded Jin of his early close combat training with his older brother Kiro, and how he had to tackle him over and over again to try and get an edge on his much stronger and faster older brother. Mania was not afraid to dive into battle when the time called for it, even when relying on his physicality wasn't his strength. Mania given enough time was going to be very strong and very dangerous thought Jin, he just had the makings for it.
But now was the time he started to use more tricks up his sleeve, he was already faster than the shades but this time there was six of them. So the likely hood of one of them landing a hit on him was increasing. He didn't want to take that risk, what he needed now was more numbers on his side. The dagger that was strapped to his lower back started to glow as he began to activate it's spell. The long dagger was a gift from his mother when Jin had completed his tenth mission without fail, the white haired rogue was always fond of crows and ravens. So she had a master craftsmen design this dagger for her son, normally it would function just as a normal dagger would. The spell it carried though was a golem made of Jin's very own magic element, void. "Zeno."
From the dagger itself three rifts of space were created behind Jin, and instantly three large all black raven themed golems took shape from the rifts. One landing right behind Jin, the other two flying into the air. A smile was on Jin's face, if he were being honest Zeno was probably one of his favorite spells to use especially in a battle. He often talked to golem spell as if it was an actual pet bird of his. But this time he simply relied on the mana tether connection between them. The same smile on his lips, he simply pointed forward at his targets and the three void golems sped forward for the attack. Each golem being much much faster than any of the shades, Jin had commanded they use hit and run tactics which was more than easy enough. One golem would use both of it's wings, to damage at least two of the shades heavily. While the shades tried to attack and grab the large raven golems their claw like hands would simply grab air as the golems moved much to fast. Now with all six of the shades damaged heavily, Jin went in for an offense of his own.
His Vephar spell still active three void blades hovering by his side, running towards the shades. He controlled three of the blades to spin rabidly and sent them forth at three targets. Once hit the three shades were split in half with little effort. This time using his dagger in his main hand, his spear in the left. Jin dashed towards his next target and slashed it with his dagger across the chest, taking damage from his golem earlier and now his dagger the shade was finished. That now left two more shades to deal with, one of them running towards him. Jin reactively twirled his spear to slash the shade across the chest, spun once more and aimed his spear to piece it's chest with stab finishing it off. Leaving just one more left that was already injured with a simple mental command, one of his raven golem picked it up in it's claws and crushed it.
Jin sheathed his dagger behind his back, but the golem spell remained active he figured they would remain useful for the upcoming rooms. As things seemed to be getting tougher and tougher. With the hel walkers taken care of, and the shades now keeping their distance from the duo. There was nothing else for the two ravens to do but continue down the bridge.

The shades were still around, but most seemed to keep their distance and want to bother with the two rogues. While others had already moved on and they weren't an issue any longer. Jin was now grinning at all three of his raven golems, each one stood at 7 feet tall. Which was quite a few inches taller than Jin himself whom stood at an impressive 6'3. It wasn't often he used the spell, outside of transportation but when he did get the chance to use it in battle it always put a smile on his face. Perhaps because the dagger itself was gift from his mother, or maybe it was because he just like birds.
Jin then turned towards Mania smirking "You're the hiding the tricks! Not bad! I do hope thats the end of those shade like beings though. They are starting to annoy me." Jin said referring to Mania's use of physical moves in his fight with the hel walkers. But now was not the time to stand idly by, after that Jin would recommend they keep moving forward. He had one of his crows stay up in front before the duo, and the other two behind them. Just in case another attack came from behind.
Continuing to walk down the bridge as that was the only way forward, unless they decide to hop off and see how far the bottom was. It wasn't a long walk before a large archway came into view, but before that was an even larger creature. The overly large being seemed to be protecting something much like the wolf before it, but instead there was no door behind it. Just a shimmer of colors that changes each and every time another shade passes through it. "Aaahh this place is relentless. At least for us outsiders." Jin said out loud looking at the Gatekeeper in the distance a grin was on his face though showing that he was ready to accept all challenges.
The large man like being, was holding something a large pillar with many carvings on it. It's focus right now was on the shades as if it was inspecting them, to make sure they were really what they appeared to be, dead people. So that confirmed one thing there was no sneaking past this Gate keeper at all, they would have to face it. "We're going to have to kill it to move forward, be ready. I'll send my golems at it first to gauge it's strength." Jin said to his rogue partner, rushing into being like this was not wise. The numbers and forces they faced in this dungeon have only increased in number and capability. If taken too lightly this Gate Keeper could spell their demise.
Jin just using his mental command, had all three of his raven like golem fly towards the Gate Keeper. The three golem of void easily getting the attention of the massive creature. Effortlessly swinging it's pillar on it's shoulder and using that momentum to swing at the golems whom been instructed to just fly around him and distract him. The large creature was fast, that was confirmed but it wasn't as quick as his golems.
Jin took note of this took a chance and had just one of his golems dive in for an attack, but the creature was battle hardened. It saw the attack coming, switched it's stance and used it's free arm to swat the golem into the wall dispersing it completely. Typical but the white haired rogue still sucked his teeth in annoyance. "It boasts great power and pretty decent speed, seems like it could be the last enemy of this dungeon. But If I were a betting man, it probably isn't." Jin said having his golems continue to distract the large behemoth. Jin still had mana reserves in the tank to keep going, but he was getting close to have less than half. But this was the challenge that he wanted, this was how they both get stronger. "I can probably land some damage on it, when the timing is right see if you can finish it off." Jin said to Mania with a nod.
Jin then mentally commanded his golems to fly back towards the duo, leading the Gate Keeper towards them. The large being was still focused on the golems trying to hit either of them. Jin waited till the creature was in range, then activated his void spell once more. "Raim." Forming a void rift directly in front of the Gate Keeper a long blue cracked line in the literal space was made instantly. Jin pushed his palm forward hitting the gate keeper landing some significant damage, but it wasn't enough to kill it. But hopefully thats when Mania would come in.

Name of Spell: Zeno Element: Void Rank: Intermediate Size: 2.1 Meters Mana Cost: Cost: 22 | Recharge Cost: 24 Type of Golem: Predator Applicable Perks: N/A Description:
Zeno is a large bird like golem, closely resembling a crow and raven Jin's favorite birds. Zeno stands at 7 feet tall from it's head to it's tail feather. The size of each of it's wings is about 7 feet as well, giving it a 4.2 meter wingspan. Because of it's wide wingspan flying for this golem is extremely easy, and following the transportation rules Zeno can carry two people at a time. While used for transportation it’s speed is 10 m/s. Zeno has some intricate designs on it's feathers and body that stem from Jin's void energy taking a light blue hue. This hue can darken though if need be. Zeno is a golem made entirely of Jin's void energy, making it a fierce attacking golem. Each part of it's body can be used as a method of attack from it's deadly sharp beak, to it's razor sharp wings and it's powerful claws. Also because of it's void like properties whatever items or mundane structures not backed by magic Zeno attacks gets destroyed completely and potentially erased from existence. If Karasu is wielded by a void user then it suffers the strengths and weaknesses of the void element. Following the ammo rules he can summon an additional one with every 30 stat points into control. The maximum number of Zeno’s Jin can summon is four only with the proper control.
Jin as expected had dealt with the Shades, dispatching them with relative ease which allowed the two rogues to continue progressing through the dungeon. They had survived the proverbial swarm Mania mused, but he had an uneasy feeling that curled tightly in his chest. Something lurked up ahead the rogue mused - he could feel it in his bones and within his soul. Moving from the large bridge Mania and Jin would happen upon a large archway. Now that he had a bit more mana at his disposal Mania was feeling a lot better about the duo's chances at clearing the Underground Kingdom. Mania apprehensively watched the Shades that were still around but continued their willful ignorance of Mania and Jin. The reasoning behind this phenomenon still eluded Mania.
Mania would curiously inspect the three large avian golems Jin had conjured. They stood at an impressive height, easily towering over the rogue himself.
"You've seen all my tricks~"
Mania would playfully respond. While the rogue did display the bulk of what he could accomplish with his magic, he still held a few things up his sleeve. Namely, Slyph's blessing, which was a sleek titanium ring with a golden inner band. With it, Mania was capable of allowing him to easily deflect spells within his own caliber. The rogue had yet to use it due to how rare it was, but the magic in it was on a timetable for use. Mania wasn't hoping to end up in a sticky situation, but if one came up this ring would be his saving grace. Of course, Mania kept this to himself as he continued steadily alongside Jin and his three avian golems. Shades slipped past them and pushed ahead as if they were invisible.
"Guess ya know why I left the buggers to you~"
A chuckle followed as he laughed at Jin's annoyance. Mania was of the same mindset and truthfully was tired of them. They were relatively harmless, but a little tough for the mercury mage to destroy. Which was why he had left them to his partner Jin who held a little more in the destructive department than himself. Smiling, Mania would still be following Jin as his hazel eyes scanned to area up ahead. He could still feel something, but couldn't quite put his finger on what it was. Coming into the view was a colossal titan that wielded a pillar inscribed with various runic symbols. The horned creature was a goliath among men and its stature was thoroughly impressive. Mania sighed as Jin chimed in. "Our toughest challenge yet it appears!" Mania would look towards Jin, a confident look shimmered in the rogue's eyes as he returned his accomplice's smile with his own.
Jin had decided the best course of action would be to let his three avian golems act as the proverbial spear of their preemptive attack. Mania held no qualms as he nodded and watched the golems fly towards The Gatekeeper. Despite the mammoth size, The Gatekeeper was faster than Mania and Jin had expected as the creature swatted one of the golems. Jin commented and the two continued to watch so that they could better gauge its prowess. Jin had expertly lured The Gatekeeper towards them with the use of his golem and would ambush the giant monster, dealing significant damage. It was Mania's turn now and he would be quick to act. "Hydrargyrum Hunter!" Mania summoned his predator golem and ordered it to quickly intercept The GateKeeper who was reeling from Jin's prior attack. The monster was leaning on the giant pillar which afforded Mania enough to act if he did so swiftly. Mania would increase his gait as he attacked from the left side to flank while his golem played decoy. Sure enough, The Gatekeeper was focused on the mercury humanoid golem.
The creature clashed with Mania's golem, but it was a deadlock of equal power; however, Mania's predator golem held a slim advantage in speed that allowed it to sneak in a swipe of its large claw that struck true. The Gatekeeper fell to a knee and by that moment Mania was at its rear. Driving his dagger into the creature's back it groaned and collapsed with a final whimper. The deed was done Mania watched as he pulled the plunged dagger from the deeply inflicted wound. "There, not as tough as we thought now huh?" Mania would speak aloud to Jin as he breathed heavily. The creature's skin was thick and that made it hard for him to retrieve his dagger. Mania would wipe the bloodied blade of his dagger clean using the old leather The Gatekeeper wore before sheathing it.
Mania would follow the Shades who were going through the iridescent changing colors.

"I think we're getting close to the end~"
Mania chimed in as he and Jin would enter the foreboding-looking castle. It had a dark, menacing air about it as if it held a corruption that was the origin of the blight that seemed to infest the empty kingdom and fill it with the cold corpses of undead that appeared to have no end. The palace was huge with multiple corridors and pathways, but Mania would take the simplest path led by a tattered embroidered carpet laid out as if it were a guiding bread crumb. "What do you think Jin? This place is giving me the creeps..." Mania said as he would shiver from the crippling cold. Mania couldn't tell if it was some sort of strange phenomenon or if it was simply because of how far underground the two were. Though he thought that the closer to the center of the earth one was, the hotter it would be. This dungeon was the opposite it appeared.
What the bridge lead to was a large castle that was still fully furnished. Mania gathered the monster had been guarding the place for merely nothing and they would find the boss of the Underground Kingdom somewhere within the large palace. The lit torches that burned with a ghostly glow only seemed to provide heat Mania noted as he waved his hand across and felt nothing of the sort. The rogue had been curiously looking about, checking his surroundings in the main foyer alongside Jin. "You think whoever rules this place is expecting guests?" Mania would playfully say to Jin as he moved slowly and cautiously. The interior of the castle was relatively spotless and it held an eerie, dark gloom that choked the frigid ambiance like the sensation of death itself. The craftsmanship was as exquisite as the rest of the dungeon.
Seeing the castle from the inside gave Mania a different perspective from the spire-like structure he witnessed from the icy bridge. The feeling he got from inside was insidious and malicious - cold and dead. Jin had joked that they may have happened upon the entrance to the underworld, but Mania was leaning towards believing those words the deeper they descended into the tenebrous darkness. How deep had the two ravens traveled below the surface Mania curiously mused as his eyes flickered about the castle room. From what he could gather the first room of the third floor held no enemies, but one could never be too careful or cautious inside a dungeon. Chisana - a Magic Knight had been sure to teach the rogue that during his first dungeon experience.
Sure enough, the suit of armors on cue had spurred to life proving Mania wrong as they lashed out. The mercury predator golem Mania still had summoned would parry the attack and deliver two quick strikes to one of the Armored Specters. The monster would fall apart, the empty armor echoing loudly as it hit the ground. "Guess not, we seem to be uninvited Jin~" Mania would move as the second Armored Specter attempted to attack him, but he would dodge easily and lash out by drawing his dagger. The Armored Specter was about as durable as the Shades Mania mused as he mentally instructed the predator golem to aid him. The golem was quick as it descended upon the monster, finishing it off with a powerful thrash that sent the disembodied armor to the palace ground. With two down, there were two more left. Mania would eye the last two who were converging upon Jin, so he would instruct to golem to help should Jin require it.
The Underground Kingdom was proving to be a real challenge and they had yet to even encounter the boss of the dungeon. The mystery behind this dungeon's origin was still very much a secret that Mania could not unearth. Though he and Jin had hypotheses and theories they were only backed by the insight they could glean from their own knowledge. Which was limited and therefore not concrete. It begged the question of if this dungeon were formally people? It was an eerie notion that Mania had been pondering since he saw the first monsters that appeared human. Although some of the creatures weren't as humanlike they could have easily been misshapen by maligned, dark magic. Jin had proposed a good idea that whoever was running the show here had some form of magic that was uncannily similar to the fabled wraith magic. If it was true who knew how dangerous a foe they would prove to be?

With the use of his own mercery made golem and his skills with his blade, Mania had successfully finished off the large Gatekeeper. It required some effort on both their parts, but the rogue was right. It wasn't as tough as they thought, Jin had expected more from the keeper of the gate. But a win was a win in his eyes and he wasn't going to complain about it at all. He simply looked a little surprised to see it taken down, and followed up that look with a grin when he heard Mania's words. He grabbed his spear and used his mana tether for his golems to fly forward going past the door with the changing colors.
His aim for the next couple of fights, would be to refrain from using to much of his mana. At this point about a little more than half was used, he could still keep going of course but he wanted to keep some reserves for whatever might be the final room of this dungeon. He had thought the last Gate keeper may have been the final enemy, but that was wrong. This dungeon still had more to offer, and it did not disappoint. He was truly feeling tested now. Hearing Mania's words about how they may be getting close to the end, Jin nodded in agreement. This place has been totally bizarre and it only kept get weirder.
The air was cold again just like the rooms before, the two ravens were approaching a creepy looking castle that didn't really look to welcoming. Jin was already convinced this dungeon was some realm of the afterlife, or some kind of imitation of it. How actual real it was he wouldn't know, for he had never been. The path to take was clearly forward laid out for them, there was torch lights that were lit with flame on the walls but no heat coming from them at all. And rows of armored suits that didn't move an inch, much to his surprise there wasn't shades in the castle from what he could see. And it was surprisingly well furnished he expected it to be barren and have next to nothing inside. Hearing Mania's question about what he was thinking. Jin replied "It's kinda neat and interesting, especially that." pointing to the sigil.
There was a sigil that caught Jin's attention it was of a strange symbol he didn't recognize. But he would memorize it and perhaps look into it further when they finally got out of this place. He liked to take the time to study and familiarize things that interested him, just for his own interest. "Oh we've made to much noice by now for them to not expect guests. Unless they think the Gate Keepers killed us." Jin answered Mania's question "Maybe they aren't expecting us."
Using his mana tether Jin had his two golems that he had left, separated. One was in front and the other in the back, just in case any threats from either side wanted to surprise them. But truth be told anything could come out of nowhere at this point, it wouldn't be entirely surprising. But this dungeon had done allot in teaching him things, now comparing the two he knew dungeons were capable of doing almost anything which made them so rare.
As if on cue an attack started to happen as they started walking further and further into the castle. This time no shades, or zombie like creatures, no Gate keepers either. No this time it was the very armors that were lined up that came to life and started to attack them. It wasn't that surprising given there was no other shades or walkers around, but Jin was expecting another Gate keeper type being to make it's appearance. They wasted no time attacking though, each one with a sword in it's hand they were allot more aggressive than the slow moving shades from before. Thanks to his Vephar spell still being active and increasing his speed, Jin was still able to move faster though. His golems still on the opposite sides, he left them there decided not use them for this fight. With Mania engaged with two, he himself only had to fight is own set of two.
Narrowly dodging the first swing of the armored specter's sword by swaying to the side. The rogue started to rotate and spin his light spear, and slashed quickly across it's chest damaging it and quickly brought his arm back landing another slash. With a flick of his wrist he commanded two of his three void blades to launch at both armored spirits. The one he just attacked was destroyed leaving only one more left for him to fight, that already had one his void blades in it's chest. Jin quickly tossed his spear at it, with precise aiming piercing the lower part of it's armored chest and it was still standing. The rogue used the opening to dash toward it and jump in the air landing a strong kick right in it's face bringing ti down leaving long cracks into the ground. With it being destroyed Jin grabbed his spear from it's chest, and dusted himself off.

The armored spirit like warriors were faster and a bit more threatening then the shades and walkers, but they were handled without that much difficulty. With it only being four of them, two of them for Mania and two for Jin it was much easier. This dungeon was allot more challenged then the last one he visited, remembering the jungle and the fearsome creatures that were inside. But this dungeon tried to overwhelm them with numbers and the use of the Gate keepers, it was formidable. But Jin had yet to feel that real challenge yet, but the last room had to be coming up soon. And if thought about what happened in the last room in that Jungle dungeon, thats where the true boss and challenge lies.
The path remained obvious, keep going forward. But even now as they continued there were no more armored soldiers that could come to life and attack them. From the looks of it there was no sign of any enemies in this area. This didn't mean Jin let his guard down though, but even his sensory didn't pick anything up. Was this area intended to be empty? Given all the area since they've entered this underground kingdom has been swarming with enemies, this could be a nice time to just rest a little and get back some mana.
Walking further and further in there was many elaborate and ancient looking paintings on the wall. The rogue now took his time looking at them, observing them he began to think that maybe these paintings were telling some kind of story. Maybe about what happened to the kingdom, it had a king and a queen some time ago. At least thats what he gathered from the paintings. But like all things nothing lasts forever, and eventually it all came to an end. And what he initially thought about this place was right, the shades the walkers they were once the people that lived in this kingdom. And now their souls or whatever is left of them are left wonder around, and make their way to the after life.
There was another painting that caught his eye, one of a beautiful young woman with a very regal and royal appearance. While she did look beautiful from head to toe, what surrounded her was death. Souls of the afterlife, rotting corpses and dead bodies. And the two familiar gate keepers were in the painting as well. "Aaahh is she the one who caused all this? She was beautiful, and very...evil." Jin struggled to find the proper word but that was the one he settled on. "She might be the last one." Jin added putting some thoughts together.
He later noticed separate paintings of the gate keepers themselves. First was the large giant wolf with a written name underneath. "Garmr" and the next one of the large giant troll like being "Màttugr Helson" Jin would remember their names. This whole ordeal would be a nice story to tell Aeila. The whole experience here dealing with the dead, and the after life and spirit like beings reminded him of her magic. She had an excellent use of her 'wraith' element as the beings she brought back from the dead, didn't look like wrangled up corpses or like shadowy spirits either. They looked exactly how did they did in life, it was almost creepy but also very impressive.
Looking back towards his partner. "So what do you think of all this? I've decided in my mind at least, that this person here." he said pointing at the painting of the beautiful woman surrounded by death and despair. "Is some kind of keeper of the dead, and has possibly made this kingdom her home. The symbolisms, the gate keepers, the dead beings themselves. She has somehow constructed this place to be a make shift underworld of her own. But I do not think this is the entire underworld, or life after death as we would identity it. But a separate and smaller plane just for her and this kingdom. Unless that is how the after life works? Which I do not believe." Jin said out loud while continuing to look at all the paintings. This was fun and intriguing for him to at least try and make sense of this place, and so he was interested in hearing what Mania's thoughts were.

The maximum number of Zeno’s Jin can summon is four only with the proper control.
Mania and Jin easily felled the aggressive, disembodied suits of armor in the prior room. There remained little to do asides from some casual sightseeing as the two rogues had continued, pressing ever deeper into the confines of the wicked palace. Entering the next room Mania felt the same sense of uneasiness as he couldn't discern any movements or enemies. The rogue would proceed with extreme caution as his hazel eyes scanned the room thoroughly for signs of life; or in this case, signs of the undead. Whilst Mania proceeded, he could feel the air turned unapologetically numbing. Much like the rooms that came before. It felt as if the hand of some otherworldly specter was placed upon his shoulder, chilling his body with its wintry grasp.
The tension within Mania's poised body would subside the more the two ravens continued. It did appear that this room was free from enemies and conflict, but the thought brought the sickening sensation of impending doom. It twisted and churned into a knot within the rogue's stomach. Mania thought back to his last foray into the dungeon - Beautiful Disaster. His thoughts lingered on how the room that proceeded the boss lacked any enemies as well. Like the proverbial calm before the storm, he would silently muse to himself as he crept along slowly behind Jin. Whatever lay beyond on the next floor would more than likely prove to be far more difficult than what the pair of migrating ravens faced. Thinking about what types and kind of enemies they had come across he would ponder who was at the end of it all?
What was at the end of it all?
The walls within the spacious well-lit room were lined with ancient paintings that appeared to depict the history of The Underground Kingdom. The further Mania walked the more of the story that he could piece together - the paintings also depicted the origins of how it was twisted and malformed into the dungeon that they saw today. It was eerily quiet, not even the faint sound of the walls squeaking from age could be discerned. Jin would carve the silent ambiance, disturbing it as he spoke aloud. The rogue's voice almost startled Mania who was deep into thought as he appraised the paintings and tried to connect the history of what came before to its eventual demised and transformation.
"Huh?"
Mania responded as his eyes would follow Jin's voice to the point of interest he was talking about. The woman in the picture was in fact incredibly blessed with beauty, though what surrounded her gave a great cause of concern. The rotting flesh of dead bodies and ghosts were at her sides like aides Mania thought. He also recognized the two gatekeepers they faced. When you connected all the thoughts the easiest drawn conclusion was that she was in fact what was waiting for Jin and Mania within the final room. Mania flashed a devilish smile as he placed a hand atop Jin's shoulder. "She is quite gorgeous, especially if your pining for a woman that's after your very soul~"
Mania would playfully chime in with a joke, though he figured there was a bit of truth buried somewhere in the statement as his eyes lingered on the particular painting in question for a moment longer. He was drawn to it, like a moth to a flame. Jin's voice would once more pull Mania from the deeper parts of his mind with a question. The rogue had only caught the end of what he said, but he pretty much understood the gist of what his partner had said. "I don't think you are far off from the truth friend. I believe she is some sort of ruler of the dead and that she made this kingdom her home, shaping in within an image of her liking." Mania's smile would widen, like a child up to some mischievous plot.
"The real question is do you believe her powers to surpass the laws of life and death itself?" Mania would ask, his voice much more serious in tone as his eyes appeared focused and resolute. The fact remained that death within this dungeon was ubiquitous. Mania knew not the reach of the beautiful woman's powers, but he surmised she would be a formidable foe nonetheless. Mania would note the names of the gatekeepers they had fought earlier and remember their names. If nothing else when he and Jin escaped this proverbial crypt he would have to look into the origins of this place further. If for nothing else than to piece the story together in its totality.
"Lets go Jin, lady death must not be kept waiting~"
Mania would say aloud as he approached the large, ornate door at the end of the long hallway. He would take a deep breath and steel his nerves. The rogue felt an amalgam of half fear and part anticipation as he stood in before the final door and opened it. The breath from his lungs was almost stolen by the fast beating of his heart.

* BOSS ROOM
What lay beyond the towering, ornate door was a massive throne room. It like much of the castle was still eerily lovely, furnished with what one would expect of nobility to have in such a room. Upon the throne sat a massive figure, though their appearance was obscured due to the distance. Mania would take the lead and proceed as the disembodied voice of a woman spoke out. Her voice was lovely, with the qualities of royalty. Mania would turn his head, ascertaining there were not any guards lying in wait to ambush them as they proceeded forward.
"You have trespassed upon my domain humans, tell me... what is your purpose for disturbing the dead?"
Mania felt compelled to answer as he approached, the single source of light that shone down upon Hel's figure illuminated her. A little closer and Mania could finally see her - an entity that stood between the extremities of life and death itself. Split down the middle Hel embodied duality in that sense Mania thought as he froze for a moment, stopping dead in his tracks as his gaze lingered upon the terrifying queen of the dead. Half her body appeared to have been frozen and untouched by time itself. That side was lovely and looked exactly like the paintings he had seen in the prior room; however, Hel's monstrous side was like worn parchment, smooth and taut as if it had been scraped clean far too many times.
She was definitely no longer a part of the living world he thought, his hand instinctively hovered aloft the pommel of the dagger belted to the small of his back. Hel remained seated and exuded an air of regal elegance that belied the monstrous half of her twistedly misshapen figure. "Speak human, I have asked you a question. Don't still your tongue now that you stand before me." Mania would take a deep breath. There was no need to be so fearful he would tell himself as he attempted to feel out the pinnacle of her power. Luckily, she was not some unfathomable monster that only incited despair. He could feel she was powerful, but that she was also a being he and Jin could handle. Albeit with some difficulty he imagined. There wasn't much need to keep her waiting he thought, calming his nerves. "Would you believe me if I said that I came to witness your beauty first hand? Though it appears the years haven't been kind to... half of you?"
A chuckle would follow his own words as the rogue gripped the pommel of the silver dagger at the small of his back. When Mania needed to calm himself he often made jokes, but it seemed it was much to the distaste of Hel who scoffed loudly.
"You dare mock the Goddess of Death herself? I am Hel and I will be sure my kingdom shall become your Crypt intruders!"
In the light that poured from above like a spotlight, Mania could see her eyes set ablaze like steel being melted in a forge. From the sound of her voice, he could tell she was annoyed with him as she stood to her feet. Mania would gaze at Hel as she raised from her throne and stood at an impressive height as she looked down at Mania with eyes of blazing fire. "Looks like I angered her Jin, best be on your guard with this one!" Mania would speak aloud as he drew the silver dagger and his grimoire floated aloft before him. Mania smirked, but he was unsure what type of magic Hel wielded. He figured opening with a golem and watching from a distance would be the safest and surest option. Mania's grimoire would brightly glow as it was infused with his mana.
"Mercury Magic: Hydrargyrum Hunter!"
From Mania's grimoire liquid mercury would spill onto the throne room floor, congealing into a polished silver humanoid that was faceless. The golem would stand before Mania and with a mental command, it springs forward towards Hel's in a mad dash. The predator golem was quicker than Hel expected it appeared as it connected with a thrust of both its large arms and clawed at her. Hel would shriek as she teleported away, fading from her original position she would reappear off to the side. Mania would raise a brow as he noted the way she reacted. Hel would conjure her magic creating multiple copies of herself that surrounded Mania's golem. They snickered in contempt as she blasted his golem from what appeared in all directions.
Mania would order the golem to jump, but the blast she fired from all the surrounding illusory clones would follow the golem and strike true. The golem would fall to the palace floor, heavily injured. Were all the attacks real or was there only one true energy ball she fired? Hel wouldn't give Mania the time to think it over as she and her illusory clones focused on the mercury mage. "It's your turn human, you shall rue your insolence!" She would state as her clones vanished and reappeared surrounding Mania. The range for her teleportation was almost instant he thought as the pages in his grimoire fluttered, turning to the page of the next spell he planned to use. The grimoire before him as it was infused with mana, but she wouldn't give the rogue time to cast a spell. "No you don't!" Hel would say as she fired a wave of energy at Mania.
Instead, Mania would react with Slyph's Blessing - a ring worn on his left hand. The ring glowed with wind magic as Mania activated its power. Holding his hand out the waves of energy created from the illusions copies that surrounded him would be redirected back in all directions. Even if they were but illusory copies, Mania would still be able to redirect Hel's attack. As the rogue had thought she was mixed in with the false doppelgangers as they vanished once she took damage from her own magic. Hel scoffed as she vanished in a plume of magic smoke and reappeared away, distancing herself from Mania. She was likely thinking of a counter-strategy he imagined. Lucky enough Mania had finally found a use for the ring he had purchased a few months ago. He sighed a heavy sigh of relief as he focused.
Hel was far from finished with him, Mania was sure of that much. Luckily for him Mania's golem was still not completely destroyed so once it pulled itself from the ground, the consistency of its body foretelling it was on its last legs, Mania would command it to attack a final time. Hel; however, would not be caught by its speed again, she reacted well, firing the same ball of energy at the golem, destroying it altogether. She would turn her attention back to the rogue, Mania was ready to act accordingly, but he could not have expected her next attack. "I shall addle your mind with unimaginable terrors human - know fear!" She held her hands out and an arcane circle appeared around Mania. A circular pillar would rise upwards, filled with powerfully potent magic.
Mania was trapped and soon, the palace throne room was filled with the most terrifying creatures he had ever seen. Haunting, disembodied voices spoke to him, was it his psychosis he thought as he fell to his knees. Mania was accustomed to feeling fear, but to such an extent he had never experienced brought him back to the cusp of insanity. There was nothing truly there, but the illusion magic Mania had been trapped in conjured devilishly cruel and scary machinations that he was unable to perceive from reality itself. "Go away, go away, go away!" Mania screamed loudly, he was clearly out of his mind as he was brought to tears from the vividly, sheer terror that was conjured by Hel.
She was delighted as she snickered and laughed in contempt. "Know your place! You shall join your friend soon in knowing terror and then you shall become part of my collection!" Hel spoke coldly to Jin as Mania remained trapped in an illusion of fear, prone to the ground confused and afraid.

BOSS ROOM
"No." Jin said simply with a sharp smile on his face answering Mania's question on whether this woman had powers that surpassed the laws of life and death. "No I do not think so. But I guess we will find out soon enough." he followed up with, walking behind Mania as they entered the next room. If this was similar to his last visit to a dungeon, he expected a big fight to be coming up with this 'Lady of Hel'. He could say for sure that this was much more imposing than the large ancient mana beast he had fought in that jungle like dungeon. With the last room barely having any enemies inside of it, that was a good opportunity to rest and get some mana back. He wasn't back to a full capacity, but what he stored should be more than enough.
The room they walked into was a massive throne room, everything very furnished and well kept. But it still had a very creepy look to it. As expected someone was sitting on the throne seat, walking in closer trying to get a better look Mania was in front. Jin still had a his raven golems active he commanded them to stay on the sides of them. Jin didn't look surprised to see the figure sitting on the throne, was near identical to the woman on the picture. At least from the side of the face he could see, the other side was covered in dark shadow. She still looked beautiful he thought, until he got close enough to see it. The other side of her face was like a rotting corpse, as if she was both dead and alive. It was hard to tell, she was barely human. When she spoke her voice came from all over the throne room, she still had a lovely tone though.
She asked them as to why they entered her domain and disturbed the dead? It was a valid question none of them really had a good answer to. The true answer was nothing but greed, curiosity, and the search for more strength. But none of these were valid answers, or they wouldn't be valid enough answers for her. And they were far to in to try and tell a lie that would make any sense, so both rogue stayed shut for now. She demanded an answer though just a few moments later, Jin had noticed that Mania was reaching for his dagger. It was starting to look inevitable that a fight with this witch from Hel was about to start. But for the first time since entering this dungeon, Jin was slightly nervous. This was good. This is what he wanted.
Eventually Mania answered her question with a not so friendly comment regarding her appearance, a smirk grew on Jin's lips. Thats probably along the lines of what he would have said himself. It was a shame though the one side of her face that was still...alive looked so enchanting. The rogue was not a fan of hurting beautiful woman, but many of them would have had him killed if he didn't kill them first. This was just another example of that, of course on a much larger and dangerous scale. After Mania's comments it was clear she was ready to kill them, and make them another pair of corpses for her underworld. The true fight started now. "You sure did anger her, maybe you should apologize." Jin joked lightly starting to spin his light spear between his fingers.
Mania had summoned his golem and had it charge at her, Jin did the same with his own two golems but instead they took flight from up above and came swooping down to attack her. Hel had fully stood up and Jin was quite surprised on how tall she was, at least 7 feet maybe even more than that. She swung both arms toward both raven like golems, and blades made of shadow released and took down both golems instantly. She was strong. But Mania's golem had connected with her, causing her to switch her position. No longer by the throne, and now on the right side. Was she able to teleport? Was it some kind of spatial magic? Jin thought quickly but he didn't believe it, if she did have spatial magic her counters for the attacking golems would have been much different. So that meant this had to be an illusion, she created copies of herself and surrounded Mania's hunter golem blasting the creation with her magic. It attempted to avoid the attack, but it just wasn't quick enough, it was bought down. The copies were an illusion too, learning more about her it seemed she specialized in using illusionary tactics and pairing them with attack spells.
Her next attack came right towards Mania himself, Jin had expected for him to put up his defensive spell. But he did not, instead he used a different ability. The illusionary clones surrounded him and all unleashed a spell, but only could be real. But instead of playing a guessing game, Mania had maned to redirect all incoming attacks. Visually it was eye catching because of the illusion, but the redirected attack hit true to it's mark. But the Queen of Hell was still standing, if not Jin would have been pretty disappointed. While Mania managed to get the upper hand in this fight so far, she would prioritize using a much deadlier illusion than just copies of herself. The throne room was no filled with terrifying monsters and creatures and voices that could keep you awake at night. It was a potent illusion and surprisingly enough it managed to ensnare Mania quite well. But Jin looked unfazed, especially when she turned her attention towards the blind folded rogue.
The use of her spells and attacks and tactics were all impressive he must admit. But he looked rather unbothered by what was happening at the moment. "I'm a bad pairing for you." he said to her now pointing his light spear in her direction with his right hand. Using his left hand he brought it up to his face and gently lifted his blindfold over his left eye revealing his deep majestic blue eyes and gave her wink. "Your illusions are potent, but I can see through them pretty well." Jin boasted with a smile on is face. While the rogue was boasting at the moment, his focus and attention never wavered. He looked towards Mania, his partner was in a panic something must have triggered him. He had to end this fight quickly.
His Vephar spell still active three void blades hovered beside him, and the spell increased his own speed. Taking note that he actually was faster than her own movements, when she wasn't hiding them with her illusions. Without wasting a beat Jin had two of the three blades fire at her, she quickly put up a shadow energy like shield to block the blades. So defensive spells too? He thought to himself quickly, she 'teleported' this time coming in towards his left. As soon as she appeared his head already facing her direction, a smirk on his face. "I told you, I can see through them." he said to her going in with a flurry of slashes and attacks with his spear. But all his attacks just merely made dents in her defensive shield. He was pushing her back though slightly, she was already damaged thanks to Mania. Jin just had to finish her off, he quickly stabbed his spear into the ground and pressed his middle fingers and ring fingers together "Flauros." Jin activated a spell of his own. Creating illusionary copies of himself all coming towards her from the front and the side. It was a weak illusion that she could see through, but for a second she did loose sight of him completely. Cold Blooded.
"Ha! Such a weak illusion of this level would never work on me!" She shouted as she sent an energy wave towards all the fake copies. But as soon as the all the copies were obliterated, his spear pierced her chest from behind red blood coming down her dress. A stunned look on her face, as she tried to turn and noticed Jin was now right behind her holding his spear that was now lodged into her body. "I knew you would see through my illusion. It was a weak one, but seeing through an illusion doesn't always mean you can see the caster." Jin whispered into her ear before pulling his spear out and slashing again at her neck chopping her head off.
Her lifeless head rolled on the ground, and the body fell to the floor. The fight was over. Jin walked over to Mania hoping he was now getting over the attack that the illusion had put him in. The white-haired rogue held out a hand for him to grab just in case he needed it. If he did get up and looked to be doing alright Jin would add. "So you did have more tricks up your sleeve! Redirecting her attacks like that, I was surprised she could still fight after that." Jin said with a grin.
A gate portal opened up with Hel defeated that was probably the way out. Jin patted Mania on the shoulder and gestured towards the portal, "That's probably our way out of the underworld, lets get out of here."

The tune of lunacy - Mania was serenaded by multiple disembodied, haunting voices.
"Weak, pitiful Mania. No one loves you, no one cares for you. You don't have a single person to validate your existence?! Can you say you truly exist?"
Their words grasped at his vulnerable soul, like callous fingertips that plucked the evil strings upon the instrument of madness.
"You are nothing, NOTHING~"
The sound was dark, plaintive, and eerily evocative. Stirring dormant thoughts within Mania as he trembled and shook violently on the palace floor.
"Stop, it isn't true. Its not true."
The rogue's covered his ears, but he could not escape the hauntingly, indelible words that assailed his fragile mind.
"Weak!"
Mania closed his eyes, but shapeless phantasms and boogeymen remained. Their terrifying image forever burned into his mind in stunning lucidity.
"BBBegone!" Mania choked out amidst his faint whimpering, uncharacteristically stumbling over the word as the images flashed vividly like masterful works of arts in his mind. The mercury mage could not escape the illusions hold - an impregnable fortress prison guarded by conjured ghoulies and specters. Whilst Mania was incapacitated by Hel's powerful illusion magic, Jin was attempting to deal with the goddess of death. Mania was far too busy dealing with his own demons to even watch as Jin and Hel did battle. While they fought, Mania was still prone to the palace floor, scared witless and out of the loop as he remained despondent.
Lucky enough Jin had prevailed over Hel, killing her by removing her head, it would roll onto the marble flooring. The illusion had suddenly stopped and the voices no longer assailed Mania's mind. The rogue would slowly blink as his mental state stabilized and his heart rate stilled to a normal rhythm. Though it was over, the illusion had felt so real like many of his waking nightmarish episodes that beads of cold sweat clung to his moist shirt. Steelblue hair dropped down over Mania's as he regained his bearings, swearing lowly beneath his breath. The rogue was ashamed to admit that he had most definitely lost his composure. Though this time through no real fault of his own, he knew it made him look weak.
Especially since he reacted so strongly to the illusion, but for someone who struggled with psychosis such as him. Mania had an even harder time discerning reality from fantasy. Mania would glance up at Jin who offered him and hand but made no mention of the episode Mania had. The rogue was grateful for Jin not speaking about it, though it still did make him feel uneasy to have been so vulnerable in front of another. Jin was a good man Mania would think as he took the fellow raven's hand and stood to his feet. "Thank you Jin. What can I say? A magician has to keep a secret or two am I right?" Mania would say, smiling - though he was still very much shaken from the ordeal he tried his best to mask the fear that still loosely permeated from him.
"I really did mess up there though. Glad you could take care of Hel. Who knows what would have happened if not?" Truth was if Jin hadn't been able to handle her on his own they may have very well ended up a part of Hel's crypt collection. Doomed to wander the in-between in the Underground Kingdom. The thought scared Mania, who remembered that Chisana said Dungeons were destined to forever repeat themselves. Meaning he and Jin would have been trapped inside a never-ending loop, with no hope of breaking the perpetual cycle. Luckily that ending would never come to be, at least not in this life Mania mused as he dusted himself off. A gate would appear abruptly, a tear in the very fabric of space and time.
Jin commented that it was most likely the exit for them to leave. Mania would give a silent nod before glancing at the decapitated body of Hel. His haze eyes followed the trail of black blood to her detached head. He regarded her with a blank look and simply stood there for a moment in thought. Jin and Mania had learned a great deal about this dungeon, but there were still mysteries yet to be uncovered. Was Hel always as she was? Had she been cursed? If so by who? These thoughts raced through his mind as he gave a final glance around the eerie-looking palace. Perhaps Mania could find more about this place back in their world? Perhaps not? He didn't know the answer, but for now, the rogue knew that he could use a strong pint of ale at this moment.
"Right... I'm coming~"
Mania would say as he stepped into the otherworldly portal.
