Jin Zhongli
NOTE* The Item 'Quortek Mriggan' is being brought into this thread it is NOT being used for training WC reduction. It is here simply for flavor.
Ten months is how long it's been since Jin had left home. Ten months of being on his own for the most part, not relying on his mother or his siblings. Or all the benefits that come along with being part of the Zhongli family. It made things harder of course but this is what he wanted, this is how he preferred it. But if he was being honest with himself it wasn't entirely his idea to work on his own, it kind of just happened. Of course parts of him always thought about it in the back of his mind, but he never intended for it to come to fruition. But the debate which led to an argument with his mother was the last straw for her and for him. He always had ideas that were at odds with his mother, and many many times they had ended up fighting. But this was probably the longest time had had gone without seeing her or the rest of his family and he missed them.
But the white haired rogue was not alone completely. It wasn't long after working solo, he had found a new partner so to speak. Aeila whom was very similar to himself but also completely different at the same time. They both seemed to run into each other at the perfect time, as if it fate for them to cross paths. Aeila had reminded him much of his younger sisters, especially with the assassin aspect. She was trained to kill just as well as the rest of them. But the difference was she wasn't taught to read, or write or even speak that well. That was something Jin was trying to help her out with. The progress was slow, but steady and she was getting better by the day.
"In your thoughts today. A lot on your mind?" The voice coming from the green lantern hanging off Jin's belt. The Quortek Mriggan, or just Mriggan as Jin calls it always had something to say just about every minute of the day. It was a sentient object Jin had found one day, and his curiosity in weird items possessed him to acquire it. While Mriggan liked to speak and threaten his life very much, Jin continued to walk and carry it around with him when not on any important missions. Why? He himself did not know. Perhaps in an odd way it made for good company for him.
"Mmmmmm no. Just wondering why Frederick asked to meet with me." Jin replied back to the cursed spirit in the lantern. Frederick was one of Aeila's wraiths, like the rest of them his personality was still very much intact. Aeila's wraiths were family to her and not just weapons or spells. Jin had respected it, it also spoke to the level of control she had over her own magic for her to keep the wraiths personalities. It made for some interesting interactions to say the least. But the most interesting of them so far was Frederick, he was a noble in the wrong place at the wrong time. And has now ended forever to be by Aeila's side for better or for worse. It was clear the noble wraith was not a fan or either of them. Which made sense they were rogues, assassin's and that would probably never change. He was a noble, a civilian probably saved some lives in his life time. But for some reason even if his words were at times kinda harsh, he continued to look after Aeila and have her best interest in the forefront. But now he wanted to meet with Jin, which was odd.
Jin walked into a large bar called 'The Stolen Route' one of the many in the Rogue's Refuge this one was fairly busy enough to cover ones voice, but not busy enough to attract unwanted attention. It was a good location for some simple discussion. Jin usually only came to bars to meet with people, he wasn't a fan of drinking much at all. His mother had told him that drinking dulls the mind and the senses, and it's best not to partake in it to much. She would have a cup of wine, but never often. Maybe once every year. Most of his brothers and sisters felt the same way about drinking. Also with Frederick being a literal wraith, he doubted he was going to be drinking as well. Unless wraiths can taste things and feel the effects of alcohol. He would have to ask him that.
Walking in Frederick waved at him casually, even here he kind stuck out. But it was more comical as it put a small smile on his face. The rogue went over and placed the talking lantern on the table and took a seat. Immediately the interaction was awkward, he never would have thought he would have been in the same place as Frederick without Aeila nearby. "I'll make it quick. Ive got my hands on something I want you to have." he said sliding over a rectangular case on the table. He was quick to the point, seeing the case Jin's eyebrow raised in curiosity. Even the flaming skull face in the lantern looked a bit interested.
This was unexpected between the three of them. "You wanna give me something?" Jin replied his eyes beneath the shades he was wearing shifting back and forth from the box and the wraith. "Will it kill him?" the lantern asked in a whisper for only the three to hear. His question was only met with silence. Frederick and Jin looked at the lantern both with an annoyed facial expression, then Jin shrugged. "Now that I think about it it's a valid question."
Frederick sighed and rolled his eyes in annoyance. "No it's not going to kill you. Unlike you it's not that easy for me to take a life." he said with a little snap in his voice. Jin chuckled "Hey that kinda hurt my feelings." he replied making a joke out of it like he usually does things.
"I'm not even the one that did you in Freddy, so I don't know why you get so angry with me." Jin added folding his arms looking at the wraith. "Heck if I was there I would have probably tried to stop it. But wrong place wrong time." the rogue shrugged leaving his shoulders up.
"Death comes for all beings of the living, it is only a matter of time. One cannot escape their fate. It was destined that you died that day Nobleman Frederick, there is no changing the past." the lantern added in a stoic tone. Both Jin and Federick looked at the lantern with blank stares.
Frederick sighed once more getting more annoyed. "Listen this isn't even about that alright!" he said the tone in his voice raising but still keeping it low enough. He opened the rectangular case and revealed a silver pendant necklace. Of course the wraith was now having second thoughts about his decision, but he shook his head. He truly believed this was the right move to make. As he could no longer give the necklace to an heir, he's better off giving it to someone who could use it to protect Aeila. That person being Jin. The rogue leaned in to look at the necklace, it was designed beautifully he had to admit. He wasn't like his sister Varia who was obsessed with jewelry and the like, but he had his tastes. "I mean that looks real nice, but first I have to ask why? And then I have to ask where did you get it from?" Jin asked him looking at the necklace and then looking back up at him.
Frederick closed the case to not draw to much attention to it. "I am soul bound to Aeila." he began to say in a whisper. "While it is very true I am not fond of either your methods. Her well being is...important. While I can do my best, you are the one that can truly protect and look out for her. So this isn't some kind of gift for doing a good job. This is going to protect you, cause by doing that I'm also protecting her. Both of your elements are extremely rare, once maybe twice in a century a wizard is born with the kind power you and her have access to. But with that being said they do have their flaws. This can help with that." Frederick finished off by sliding the rectangular case towards the white haired rogue.
"You make a good point nobleman. But that still doesn't change-."
"Yea. Yea. Fate or whatever hush now." Jin cut off the lantern. The rogue was in deep thoughts now. What Frederick said was true and even though Jin never verbally spoke about his element or how it functioned. He knew how extremely rare it was, growing up in the house of the Zhongli one is taught to value their element to know the ins and outs of it. But never brag or boast about it, never let it fill your head up with confidence that is not earned or worked for. Jin and a few other of his siblings are as some would put it 'Blessed with powers beyond imagination.' While he knew this, he also thought differently of it. His oldest brother Kiro was born with a rather low tier grimoire as some would put it. But aside from their mother he was without a doubt one of the strongest mages he had seen with his own eyes. So Jin naturally never got to hung up on the power one is born or blessed with, to him it was what you did with it.
But he did know the flaws and limitations of his void element like the back of his hand. For all of it's crafty, destructive and ripping through space abilities. It would never be able to access a healing function. It wasn't for lack of effort either the element was simply incapable of healing any kind of injuries not matter how hard Jin trained or studied for it. It was literally impossible for him. Because of this Jin had prioritized taking as little damage as possible when in combat and so far he had been good on that front. Be it his void rifts, his illusions, or his physical reinforcement spells he usually managed to get out of most scenarios unscathed. He also had that very unique light spear for a while, that could heal the minor injuries he did take every now and then. But using a long spear was not really his preferred style of combat, he was able to use it effectively but he grew tired of it. On the back of his mind he was looking for a way or a tool that could take up that spot and maybe this necklace could do just that.
Jin looked back up at Frederick. "Where?" he asked simply this time his tone was more serious. He had asked earlier but noticed with Fredericks long explanation as to why, he never answered where he got it from. If it was stolen Jin had to make sure it wasn't stolen from the wrong people before he could start to use it. Or it could be something very valuable to Frederick himself, he was a noble after all.
"I'm a noble. Or was one. Good items like this one come and go all the time. Because I liked the way it looked I kept it with me. But knowing what it can do, it's best if you use it. I can't use it anymore." Frederick said with a light chuckle. Jin looked at the case again that last part was true, he didn't believe a wraith can make use of any magic weapons or items. Jin reached over the table to slide the rectangular case towards him. "Thats it?"
"Thats it."

Jin Zhongli
NOTE* The Item 'Quortek Mriggan' is being brought into this thread it is NOT being used for training WC reduction. It is here simply for flavor.
Jin started to slide the rectangular case towards him, he was still skeptical but Frederick would little reason to lie to him about this. In the past his actions had always been for the good of Aeila's well being. And if this item could help with Jin's weaknesses there was no reason to not at least use it and give it a try. "So what does it do?" Jin asked the wraith, now that it was peaking his curiosity. Frederick stood up and buttoned his jacket. "It heals and it may have another function as well. it's called Chi Mirshann. We have to make sure she stays away from them. Now I'm off." he said wasting little time. It was obvious he wasn't comfortable in this space, it was a pretty dangerous territory to be in. Jin waved goodbye to him in a comical fashion, not getting much a response from the wraith. The last few words Frederick had said caught Jin slightly off guard at first, but he understood what he meant. He was referring to whomever 'raised' her, and abused her in the past. Jin had no intention of letting Aeila go back there.
Now leaving Jin and the lantern with the case at the table. There a few moments of silence until the lantern decided to speak. "I read a very rare magic coming from the item. Almost angelic. It could maybe prove to be useful."
'The Stolen Route' was a safe and neutral ground a fight would never happen here, and usually conversation and trading of items could be done safely here without much worry. But every now and then there was groups whom still plotted anyway. And such a group had their eyes on Jin and Frederick as Frederick left one of the men nodded to the other to go follow, but Jin had noticed their eyes from the beginning. The man would have to pass by Jin's table in order to leave, and once he got close Jin would gently stop him with his hand. "Let's not do that." he said simply. "Your friends and I should talk outside." he added taking the case in his free hand. The white haired rogue stood up and grabbed his sentient lantern letting some time pass for Frederick to go on unfollowed. Then stepping outside himself with just three of the six men following him, the other three staying inside. "Follow me."
Jin led them to a more secluded area just around the corner from the bar, he turned and faced them with a smile on his face. The three men looked fairly capable, two of them were burly and broad shouldered and the in front was on the skinnier side but he was taller. All three of them wearing the same brown and red colored cloak with a red flower on it. They were probably more than just a gang of robbers and thieves perhaps a cult of some sort. This could prove to be very interesting the white haired rogue thought. "So how can I help you guys?" he asked them getting straight to the point.
"The item, we want it." the skinny one in front said his voice was stern, but there was just a hint of effort in it. As if he was trying to sound as stern as possible rather it being just natural. Jin blinked a few times, this wasn't the first time someone or a group of people tried to rob him. He was a rogue in the Rogue Refuge after all. Also he never gave off a very scary or intimidating appearance, he was tall but slim. And his choice of clothing was pretty simple no signs of any weaponry at least to the untrained eye. Even his grimoire he kept concealed to avoid attention. It was also something to note that Jin did not have much a reputation on his own. Despite his connections to things he himself had always kept his profile very low. This didn't annoy him though, for now things needed to be this way. But with such a small reputation things like this happened from time to time.
"The item? My lantern? You don't want my lantern. It's rather annoying. But I mean if you want to take it off my hands, I can do that for a fee." Jin said referring to the spectral demonic faced lantern hanging off his belt. "Master! You cannot sell me! For any kind of price. I am a priceless artifact and you should consider yourself lucky that we have crossed paths!" The lantern scoffed.
"Not the lantern. The one in the case you carry. We nee-. We want it. And we will have it." he said moving his arm over his brown and red cloak showing a yellow glowing curved sword. From the looks in his eye he meant business and he was not going to take no for an answer. It was clear now he overheard what the necklace might be capable of doing. But why go through all this trouble for a simple item that could heal some injuries. Unless they were desperate for some odd reason, and if they were desperate they could be manipulated.
"Oh this?" Jin asked holding the rectangular case in his left hand. "...I mean if you got the yul I'll sell it to ya. And it'll be a decent price I promise." Jin said tapping on his chin thinking about how much he would sell it for. Even though the necklace was just given to him, he was already willing to part with it. Or at least pretend to do so. "Master! The nobleman just gifted that you, you are willing to part ways with it already? Without even finding out what it's capable of? That is a mistake. And it is also very rude.""Would you shut up already."
"How mu-"
"A million."
"Enough talk we will take it!" The one in lead said with some anger his voice, running towards Jin with his sword drawn trying to hit him with a vertical slash. But his speed was not fast enough to land a hit on the rogue, he was decently trained though. Jin swayed to the side dodging the attack and taking multiple steps back dodging all of his slashes. Behind the rogue one of the bigger men tried to hit him with a wide swinging haymaker, Jin's sensory alerted him his mana presence coming from behind and without wasting any movements. Jin ducked below the attack avoiding it completely. Using his right leg he landed a back kick on the from behind, pushing back against the wall. The one with the sword came swinging at him again, just like before Jin effortlessly dodged his attacks. But this time when he came in for a stab, Jin shifted to his right grabbed his wrist and twisted it hard causing him to drop the sword and stopping the other men from attacking him. They were decently trained fighters, but paled in comparison to Jin's own fighting skills. It was also worth noting none of them tried using a spell. "Why'd you stop attacking! Get the-uggh! Get the damn item!" the one whose wrist was being twisted tried shouted, his tone was rather desperate. Jin bent his hand just a little more causing him to shout in pain. It wasn't broken yet though. The other men didn't move they just simply held their hands up.
"Now why go through all this trouble, for an item you know next to nothing about?" Jin asked them still twisting the robber's wrist, with signs of letting go. It wasn't as if he truly cared as to why, but just in case they did know something he might have to get rid of the problem right here and right now. But if blood shed could be avoided, why not try.
"We overheard... the other one and the... lantern. It heals. But it also might carry the..Angelic element. If it does then we need it." he answered gasping for air and trying to ease the pain on his wrist. Jin looked down towards the lantern. "You speak to much you know that right? You’re not coming back outside for two months."
"Two months?! Master-"
"Shut it." Jin looked back up at the other two men, whom didn't budge. They were large and imposing but even they didn't have that robber's aura about them. These guys weren't just average purse snatchers, they probably weren't rogues at all. And they lacked magic abilities on top of that. Jin's curiosity was growing he had to admit, apart of him wanted to know what all of this was about. "Why?" Jin asked the man whose wrist was still at his mercy. "Why would we tell a no good rogue like you?" he muttered in response.
"Oh. Well then." Jin said simply right before he was about to twist his wrist and break it. "STOP!" a shout stopped the rogue and he looked over to see where the voice was coming from. The other three men that were in the bar came over, wearing the same colored cloak with the same symbol on it. But the one in front had on some silver armor and a strapped sword on his belt. He looked older than the rest, and it was clear he was the leader of whatever this cult or group was. "Please let him go unharmed. We apologize for the trouble." he said holding his hands up in earnest. Jin was still skeptical however, from what he could sense this guy had much more mana compared to the other men. He was probably capable of using some spells, but from what Jin could read with his sensory Jin was still stronger.
"All this trouble over a necklace, that doesn't even belong to him. I'm thinking I should break his arm to be honest. I mean I am a no good rogue right?" Jin replied with a smirk on his face. He was seconds away from breaking his arm too, only because this whole ordeal was beginning to really piss him off. But what the leader did next surprised him. The man in armor instructed all his men to get on their knees, as they all bowed their heads in forgiveness. The leader doing the same, then speaking. "I'll give you 3,000 yul just to let him go unharmed please." he said with an honest voice. "Judas! Don't give him anything!"
"Sure that sounds like a good deal to me." Jin said. Judas the name of the leader reached behind him with a sack of money and tossed it over to Jin who caught it and weighed it with his hand. Once he seemed satisfied he let him go and placed the yul in his jacket pocket. "Well this was all very fun and very interesting. But now I'll be off, thanks for the yul." Jin said as he started to walk away. The other men helping the one who had his wrist at Jin's mercy up.
"Wait." The one named Judas said before Jin got to far. The rogue had already put together that this group weren't just some rogues, or a gang of men. They almost seemed to honorable men, but why try and rob a rogue he thought. This situation was new to Jin, most gangs of thieves didn't behave this way. "I have a request. If you would hear it...We are not rogues or thieves or men of that nature. To explain our actions I can only say through very trying times and circumstances we have become very desperate men. And desperate men make very foolish and unwise decisions." Judas said looking at the men who tried to rob and attack Jin.
"If you’re not thieves or rogues. Why are you here? And why try and rob someone?" Jin asked putting his hands in his pockets. He hadn't decided if he was going to hear out their request. But he would be lying to himself if he wasn't at least interested in hearing their story or at least what they were doing here.
"We are a from a small church in Sosshi. We thought it would be wise to bring faith to the people in the Rogues Refuge. But our efforts were only met with disdain and push back. But we decided to continue, or I should say our healer Rebeca thought it would be best too. Eventually we caught the eye of the wrong people...the very wrong people. She was doing her best in healing those that needed it. But when she tried to heal a particular individual a leader of a gang whom claimed to want try and do better, her talents fell short in curing his poison. So in retaliation he and his crew attacked us and captured her. Their men vastly outnumber our own, in addition some of my men are already badly wounded. None are mages and the very few of us that are have no talent in healing. So his demand was bring him someone that can heal the poison in his body or we will never see Rebeca again." Judas told his little story with his head hanging low, his voice was honest. The other men that were with him also had their heads hanging low. "My request is that you help us... please."
Jin looked at him oddly as if he was asked a weird question. It wasn't often that someone had asked him for genuine help, without offering money first. "I'm not a magic knight, like your friend said earlier I'm nothing but a rogue. Most likely no better than the men that attacked you and took your healer. But it sounds like you should go find one, a magic knight that is. Or someone willing to help you guys for free. Cause that ain't me." Jin replied starting to walk off again with a simple hand wave gesture.
"There are no magic knights in the rogue's refuge! Or someone willing to help! Please...we will pay you!" Judas shouted to get Jin's attention once more."
Jin stopped walking and looked back with a smirk. "Did you catch the name of this gang leader?"

"His name is Kaggen and they call themselves 'The Untamed'." Judas answered Jin's question after an initial pause. There was hesitation in his voice he was probably wondering if this was the right move, but he continued. "All we knew about them was that they moved goods from one place to the next, and they were looking for a way to get into more honest work and become part of the trade routes."
Jin started to tap his chin now in heavy thought, he had heard of this Kaggen or The Untamed but that was sometime ago. This was both good and bad news. Since he never heard of them recently chances are they weren't a very large and powerful gang with deep connections. They were most likely fairly new kept their work load small and to a minimum, not gathering to much attention to themselves. Meaning this was probably something he could handle while keeping his own reputation low. The bad was he had little to no information on these guys, other than a few names. In this world intel was almost everything, to make sure he wasn't walking into a situation that might be to dangerous. He would need to pick the brains of Judas and the other men some more. "Do you have a camp or lodgings? Somewhere in a more not so public setting." Jin asked referring to the fact that they were still outside in a large alleyway discussing all this.
Judas looked up towards Jin with hopeful eyes, it kind of made Jin's stomach turn. "Yes we will show you! So you will help us?!" he asked the rogue. Jin rolled his eyes under the shades he was wearing. "Yea if you’re paying. I'll see what I can do." he replied with a shrug. Judas placed both hands together and bowed his head as did all the other men, except the one that almost had his wrist broken. He just continued to look at Jin with a pissed off facial expression.
"We are grateful. Let's head back to our encampment where we can discuss things in more detail." Judas said to Jin now leading the way.
Jin sighed now second guessing his decision to help these marry band of men. "You guys are weird."
"Like I've mentioned earlier Kaggen's men attacked us without warning, not only did they outnumbers is we were very outclassed. Only a few of us can fight, and even fewer use magic. But all of Kaggen's men are trained warriors and some of them being very dangerous mages. Including himself whom even though was poisoned, was able to over power me without much effort." Judas began to fill in Jin with more details.
"So from your perspective they are decently strong. How was he able to fight if he was poisoned though?" Jin asked him digging for more and more details.
"He said it was a slow acting poison, and it gave him a few weeks before movement in his body would start to cease. Despite his hubris once Rebeca was unable to heal him, he went into quite the frenzy and was guided with nothing but malice and anger. It was then we saw his vile nature he tried to hide."
"He's desperate."
"Hmmmm most likely. But I should state we don't just need your help dealing with The Untamed and Kaggen. We need your help with the healing of our men. That is why Sebastian reacted the way he did when we overheard that your item could possibly heal and might have the angelic element properties. It was one time chance, that we cross paths with someone whom has access to such a unique element. Again I must apologize for his actions." Judas said to Jin bowing his head slightly.
Jin looked back towards Sebastian and made a goofy looking face at him, the young guy was still holding his wrist though. Jin was sure he didn't break it so it couldn't have hurt that bad. But maybe now was a perfect opportunity to test somethings out. Jin stopped walking and gestured for Sebastian to come to him. Jin opened the case holding the necklace and wrapped it around his neck, as if it was made specifically for him it fit around him perfectly. The design of the necklace had a ornate pendant design, it was very similar to a fern but not one Jin knew of or saw. But once Jin had the necklace over his neck and it was in place, a unfathomable sort of connection happened between the two. As if the necklace itself was alive, Jin looked down at the pendant once more and noticed one of it's end wings had grown and twisted out to be a little longer.
"That is not just a ordinary item. That is a relic, Master. Even if someone were to try and take it from you, it would be for naught. As you and the necklace are now soul bounded as long as you deem it so." Mriggan the lantern stated out loud.
Jin knew what a relic was, a few have come into his possession. But he didn't know this would be a relic, now if it did have the Angelic element it would make much more sense. This wasn't going to be an ordinary healing item, not at all. Already he could feel a light pulse of positive and warm mana course through his body. He's heard of Angelic magic before, but has yet to see it for himself in person. The house of Zhongli was full of rare elements from his siblings to the items and weapons that could be found. But this element was one that was not among them, at least from his own knowledge. It felt very different from his void element, which focused on absolute destruction erasing space completely and turning it into nothingness. This element focused on being purely for healing and supporting life as if the very element itself was alive. It was almost as if they were completely opposite of each other. This was different.
The white haired rogue took a couple steps towards Sebastian, he would serve as the perfect practice dummy for right now. He attempted to 'heal' injuries in the past, before finally accepting that healing just wasn't part of the Void element's capabilities. So he didn't know how to go about healing someone now. He thought about the days he used his spear that had some decent healing spells, but those spells only healed him and it came naturally with one of the attack spells. This time he had try and heal someone else focused purely on the healing aspect.
Jin now focusing on Sebastian's wrist, as if the relic itself started to feed Jin the information he needed.
Duòluò tiānshǐ
The name of the person that needs the healings grace needs to be said while focusing the mana and they shall be healed.
Jin pointed his index and middle finger together pointing at Sebastian. "Sebastian." Jin said believing the thoughts in his mind. A midnight blue nearly black halo appeared over Sebastian starting to glow. Sebastian felt a jolt of energy go through him while at first it as a little eerie the next instant it was a soothing and warm while the pain in his wrist simply faded away. Sebastian started to move his wrist around no longer feeling any pain. "...thanks." he said avoiding eye contact with the rogue. But Jin wasn't really at him or even focused on the thank you he was busy looking down at his new relic trying to understand it's power and abilities. The other men around including Judas had looks of relief and smiles on their faces. Jin himself was beginning to like this new item, Frederick had gave him.
"Angelic in nature it is. The purest element in the use of healing as it's effects are usually more potent than other other elements." The lantern said now bearing witness to one of the relics spells. "What do you know about it anyway? I thought you were obsessed with the Shadow Magic Zone's and the elements tied to it." Jin asked the lantern
"I would never ignore the knowledge and the history of the other elements, especially the rarest ones. While yes it is true, my talents solely only help one become stronger within the Shadow Magic Zone. This doesn’t mean I wouldn't have any interesest in the other elements. I have seen many many rare elements and abilities since my creation. I find them all appealing and worthy of note." Mriggan replied to Jin, causing the rogue to grin hearing it's response. While the lantern could be very annoying, it had it's moments where Jin liked to have it around. "That is quite the lantern you got there." Judas admiring the sentient item.
They kept walking quite a distance away, following a self made pathway in the woods. Eventually their campsite started to become in sight, it was rather far from the small towns in the Rogues Refuge. Jin doubted anyone came out this far at all. Walking into their camp Jin noticed the numerous high tents, and other coverings over various structures. Some of the other church members working in that camp, just finished draping a large sheet over something with metal bars. It didn't look like much a small church of people.
"Oh! Judas! What spirit does your small church worship by the way?!" Jin asked.
"Why Undine of course!"
"I see! You said you had wounded here, lets get them treated and then we talk about the plan for Kaggen and payment." Jin said to him without wasting a beat.
"Of course, follow me!" Judas said with an excited tone of voice. The other men dispersed into the camp including Sebastian. Judas signaled for two men to come with them though. Walking towards one of the large tall tents, Judas opened it letting Jin walk in first. There was three men each one laying on separate beds, and each of them had some scars and bruising throughout their body. But the most noticeable thing was the purple nasty looking infection they all had. Some were on the arms, the others on the legs and spread throughout their body. It seemed they were effected by this poison that Judas had mentioned earlier.
"Your men were poisoned as well?
"Ah yes. Kaggen's men use poisoned weapons. He was betrayed by one of his own, thats how he was poisoned in the first place."
"I see." Jin replied to Judas. He walked over the first man laying in the bed, whom had the poison effecting his just arm for now. Jin now standing over him, the men was sitting over the bed. "Ugh please just do what you can." he said in a pained voice. Jin pointed his index and middle finger at him. "Hmmm I think I need your name." Jin said to him still getting the hang of these spells worked. "Bowen." he said weakly.
Duòluò tiānshǐ
"Bowen." Jin said activating the same healing spell from earlier. A dark blue halo appeared over Bowen's head and the bruises and marks on his body started to heal slightly. And the infection in his arm started to go down, the healing spell was still a low level rather so it would take some time to truly heal all of his injuries and the poison, but it was clear as day it was working.
Judas and the other men looked pleased and as happy as can be. "It's working! Ah you! Finding you was truly a blessing! Do you think it's possible to heal the other men at the same time?" Judas said with an excited voice.
Jin thought for a moment before stopping his spell suddenly, leaving Bowen still injured and poisoned just not as bad as before. "Yea I probably could, I gotta very fine amount of control for those sort of things. But I don't think I will."
"Ah! Sorry sorry! That was to much of an ask! But please continue!" Judas said rubbing the back of his head trying apologize to the rogue.
"Nah I think we're done here."
"What? What do you mean?"
"You know I was taught at a very young age, that a rogue is only as good as their lies and their knowledge. Of course other things come into play your use of magic, how skilled you are, how inventive you can be. Your aptitude for combat, and how calm you can stay even in the most dire situations. But if you wanna survive in this world, your brain has to be just as good as your brawn. And your lies has to be just as good as your information." Jin started to say still facing Bowen as he standing over him. "I'm afraid you lot you guys fail when it comes to that part." Jin said with a notable cold tone of voice.
"What? What are talking about?! Please were from a small church-"
"Raim."
Jin said the name of his spell with an open palm facing Bowen, in the next instant five thin void rifts were created. Three for each of the injured men in the beds and two for the men that were behind Judas. Each void was created literally right in front of them. The next split second all the rifts moved forward splitting the arms from each of the men that were targeted severely injuring each of them. Taking all five of them out of the fight that was about to start in a instant. Pools of blood were on the floor and loud painful screams filled the air, Judas himself who was not targeted was left stunned as the whole thing happened before he could even attempt to counter or stop it.
Not wasting another moment the armored swordsman, reached for his sword at his hip and drew it. "Fuck you!! Voltic Clash!" he shouted unleashing a burst of lighting in a arc shape towards Jin. The rogue using his control had one of the void rifts he created clash with the attack nullifying it completely. But that didn't stop the entire tent from being utterly destroyed in the process, and now the entire camp could see what was going on as the smoke and debris cleared. "How the hell did you figure us out?" Judas asked him with an angry scowl on his face.
Jin raised an eyebrow and grinned before answering "I mean for what it's worth, it all sounded very solid. I'll give you that. A small church from Sosshi, wanting to help the rogues in the refuge. It's a stretch but it's believable. But all the churches in the south even the small ones worship Salamander not Undine. Thats one. Two. You stated this Kaggen was able to overpower you, and that they used poison. But yet you are not poisoned like the rest of your injured. Three. I've never come across a small church that is not only able to afford so much supplies, but also use heavy duty cages." Jin said pointing to the to one of the structures being covered with large cloth, but a quick and detailed eye would notice the thick metal bars underneath. "Four. Sebastian, a member of a church so quickly using a violence and thievery against a rogue? Even the most corrupt members of the church would never stoop that low. So I never really believed you guys from the beginning." Jin stated the ways he was able to figure them out.
"Bull fucking shit, hahahaha." Judas said in response and multiple members of their crew showing their true faces now, grinning and drawing their weapons starting to surround the white haired rogue. "That all sounded good, but our plan is accomplished. We led you out here and now you’re severely outnumbered. And we're all gonna force ya, to give up that relic and we'll take the lantern too. You are trapped here." Judas said as sparks of lighting came off his sword and the rest of the entire crew now chuckling and grinning.
"Mriggan you hear that you are wanted." Jin said in a quick whisper to his sentient lantern. "..."
The white haired rogue continued to look completely relaxed though, as if he had no worries what so ever."Aaaaahhhh. None of you seem to understand. I'm not trapped here with you. No no. You are trapped in here with ME!!!" Jin shouted with a devilish grin on his face and clapping his hands together.
"Astaroth."

NOTE* The Item 'Quortek Mriggan' is being brought into this thread it is NOT being used for training WC reduction. It is here simply for flavor.
Within the next instant the ground beneath them within forty meters, had completely transmuted into a cosmic clouds. As if they were standing directly on the space cosmos above, and everyone standing in that space immediately received some painful damage with a feeling similar to chemical burns. The gang of about 15 maybe twenty men had went down to just five in seconds. Jin grinned as the first part of his spell was very effective at taking care of the weaklings, it was very effective in that case. But the negative was that it also damaged him, where as usually he was immune to his own spells damage. This spell worked differently, as the transmutation of the ground into the cosmic element wasn't of his own directly. His mana skin took the brunt of the damage, he winced just ever so slightly but the grin was still on his face.
Judas who had also felt the damage of the spell, looked around at this men as they started falling to their knees. A few of the strong ones were left grunting. The spell had damaged him, but he was no amateur or weak mage by any means. It would take allot more to bring him down, but the anger all over his face was good enough for Jin right now. But his spell wasn't done, that was only the beginning of it. Keeping his hands pressed together a ring of void energy appeared above them it resembled a ring that encircles a planet. And it reached the same entire forty meter area. Judas looked up and immediately tried to shout to his remaining men, to cover themselves with whatever defensive spells they had. But for some it was to late, as the circle unleashed powerful force of void energy aiming down upon them. The sheer force of the attacks were devastating, especially since they had come back to back.
Smoke and debris had surrounded the area entirely, Jin was left standing dusting off his hands and his jacket from the dust. The entire camp within forty meters had been demolished. The white haired rogue had looked satisfied with his handy work. Usually when attacking large camps like this he would refrain from using such wide and large spells, but there was a reason he took this approach.
"Your power has improved greatly master, we are starting to see the fruits of your training. But still you are only scratching the surface of your element. It can do much much more." The lantern said to it's master, it had a grin on it's face. It was unclear if it enjoyed the destruction that just transpired or did it like to see the element and mage it was used by getting stronger and more powerful.
"Still only scratching the surface, you say?" Jin replied back to the lantern, he knew what he meant though. He had yet to fully grasp the true power and capabilities of his element. He had grown much stronger in recent months, but he still had a ways to go. What knowledge he had on the element of Void only came from his studies at home within the Zhongli Estate. It was useful and helped him in many ways, but there was still more to learn and apparently Mriggan had more knowledge.
"But you damage yourself with your spell this time? You are not the reckless sort." Mriggan had started about Jin's use of his spell. It was true using spells like this in the manner, wasn't really his usual method.
"I have my reasons." Jin said with a grin. Right after he said that the damage done to his mana skin, began to heal itself naturally as the relic necklace around his neck began to glow only just a little though. Jin's knowledge of the Angelic element wasn't limited, but one thing did stick with him in his studies. The ability to naturally heal their own wounds, without the use of mana or even a spell. It was quite the useful ability, and Jin wanted to see if this relic would have access to it. It was a risky move of course, but even if it didn't have it he could always just heal himself with one of the spells.
"Aaahhhh that ability to naturally heal your wounds without the use of mana or a spell a very useful ability of angelic magic, you know more than what you let on master!" Mriggan said with a higher tone voice. "Just a little." the rogue replied to him. "But the fight is not over." he said right after that, turning around and seeing a large man wielding a tall axe with a purple cape and black and silver armor. The look on his face was complete anger. In his left hand he gripped on some chains, that were chained up to five peoples feet and hands. Their clothing or lack of their of was torn and dirty, their bodies only being covered by brown cloth. It was three women and two men, each of them looked scared for their lives. They were slaves and for the first time today, Jin's face went from casual and playful to deadly serious.
"You must be Kaggen." Jin said to him putting his hands in his pockets. Seeing Kaggen walk with chained up men and women behind him, confirmed the one thing left that he was thinking. They were in the slave trade, the trading of men and women is what they were trading and how they made their money. Jin was many many things, a thief, a assassin, a murderer, a con artist, and a whole lot more. But there is always one thing he would never take part in, nor his family or his mother and that was the slave trade. His mother detested it, and would never allow it in their family of operations. All of her children felt the same way about it, including Jin. And sometimes Jin went out his way to ruin it, when he came across it. He was no hero not by any means, but his heart wasn't that dark.
"My men...my camp...you did this?" Kaggen asked Jin swinging the axe that was resting on his shoulder to the ground. The man towered over Jin, whom was quite tall himself. The giant of a man had to be at least seven feet, if not even taller than that.
Jin ignored his question and gestured to the men and women bounded in chains. "Who are they?"
"My sla-"
Before Kaggen could even finish his sentence Jin dashed towards him, with the intent to kill. Vephar. Jin swung his arms to the side activating a spell of his four void blades were instantly created by his side, he grabbed two of them in each hand and the other two hovered over him. Swinging his blades they were blocked by Kaggen's axe. But his attacks didn't stop there he kept going swinging and slashing at the tower of a man. Distracting him with his attacks, Jin used his control and had the other two blades fly towards the chains and cut them loose freeing the slaves. Kaggen noticing this shouted in anger. "Enough!" slamming his axe down to the ground. Jin was quick enough to dodge still not saying a word. After slamming his axe, Kaggen winced for a moment he was in pain.
"So that was true, you are poisoned. Judas might have mentioned that, but after all the other lies I didn't know if it was true. But I'll kill you faster than the poison can." Jin said dashing at Kaggen once more. Raim. Letting go of his blade, and swiping his arm with an open palm Jin created a thin void rift right next to Kaggen's arm that was holding his axe, in the next second it went through his arm cutting it off completely. Leaving the slave trader shocked, and the series of movements happened much to quickly for Kaggen to react in the middle of his shock. Jin had closed the distance and used one of his void blades to literally slice his head off. "Mmmmm. Much weaker than I thought, that poison must have had quite the effect on you." Jin said simply putting an end to his spells.
The rogue then faced the slaves who didn't bother to run for some reason, despite witnessing what just happened. From the looks of it they were each badly wounded. But it was their faces that really effected Jin, they each looked scared and confused. The rogue sighed and walked towards them, one of them held up a small knife at him. The blade was dirty and chipped but there was a coating of some kind on it. Seeing this Jin smirked. "Ha. They were poisoned, by the same people they tried to capture. Thats embarrassing."
Jin continued to walk towards them though, with his hands up. "I have no intention of hurting you. In fact I wanna do the opposite. I can heal your wounds, free of charge. Just don't speak about what happened to day, to anyone."
"You intend to heal their wounds master?"
"Yea they need the healing and I need the practice." Jin replied.
The slaves hesitated at first but then nodded, putting away the knife. The stood there still nervous of course, but willing.
"Ok! I need names!"
