Lustian awoke with a start he hadn't known how the day would go or what it would intel but he was looking forward to it, as it stood, the last couple of days had been spent training in the Wilhelm Training Array and considering how tough it was on his body. He had spent most of his day rather exhausted and didn’t truly get much time to himself in the former passing days, in fact, he felt like he got less time than ever now and he wasn't rather fond of it. All the crippling responsibilities that came with were exhausting and truthfully he didn't know how to deal with it most days. Thankfully for his sake, he had his cousin Alessia who stood by his side through thick and thin, and his cousin Dante, but as he looked around he found his room hollow and empty, both Dante and Alessia were busy with their own plans today and Lustian highly doubted they'd be able to stop them simply because he wanted to do something like laze around together, or shopping, or anything of the sorts that didn't involve missions, getting stronger, or training. He didn't blame them either he had things he had to do as the heir himself, loads of paperwork, and private tutoring. He didn't blame them though, especially because hanging out with him meant that if he was too slack on his duties and responsibilities as the heir of Hosse Wilhelm they would most likely be blamed and held accountable for it even if it was mostly his fault.
Lustian kicked his legs off the bed and ran his fingers through his hair with a soft sight. He didn't truly know how to react or go about the day, nor did he like being alone for the last couple of days. His abandonment issues bubbled within him and took everything in his power to force it back down. He had to constantly remind himself that it was okay to be alone, Alessia and Dante weren't leaving him they just had lives of their own to live, they weren't angry or disappointed in him just busy, they weren't tired of him just adulting. Eventually, after a couple of dozen affirmations repeated in his mind over and over, he had decided to take a deep breath and go to the training array. He made his way through the Wilhelm Estate and had just made his way down the long mahogany staircase when he smelled the fragrant scent of fresh fruits, hearty meats, and wine. Being the occasional glutton he was he found himself almost floating in the direction of the kitchen to see what new hauls had been brought into it. Upon discovery, Lustian came face to face with some of the older members of the family who seemed to be enjoying a large banquet of food. Lustian moved toward them with grace and poise, although he didn't bother to say anything more than basic pleasantries such as "Good morning, how are you?" and "is that a new coat, looks great, food smells amazing." Truthfully when it came down to it, Lustian wasn't that close to many of his family members but he was still cordial.
He sat down at the large rectangular kitchen table, grabbed the nearest napkin, and began reaching for the nearest plate of food he could that sat around it, taking a bit of everything within his reach or what came from the usual pleasantries of people asking for certain dishes to be passed around. The food was delicious as usual, and Dante was always thankful for how hearty the breakfast for the family was, not to mention that many of the family were heavy drinkers, perhaps maybe because they were dwarves or perhaps because the wine was a frequent good that most merchants managed to get their hands on. Today he found himself sampling wine that had been imported from the heart kingdom, this one had notes of citrus, and was exceptionally strong. Lustian was pleased, to say the least, but that's when he got news of something grand. One of the family members Alexander one of the twins of whom Lustian and his cousin Dante weren't very fond of decided to stand up and make a toast and to Lustian no less. He spewed some bs out like being grateful for having such a well-mannered heir, and for staying out of trouble and having joined Golden Dawn.
Though Lustian didn't mind when people talked well about him but hearing it from someone like Alexander and his sister Alexis who followed were simply hollow words, they weren't doing anything more than trying to smoosh their way to the top and Lustian had to hold himself back from embarrassing them and outing their fake behavior. He was sure if the rest of the room had actually heard the things they had to say to him and Dante, especially before he became the heir they probably would've been given severe punishment. Though that's how most of the family worked when it came to internal politics many of them said things behind one back or under their breath as opposed to doing it to their face unless it was to another noble and one they weren't trying to sell anything to or profit from, in which case they were brash and downright bold, blunt and even rude. Though for nobles with so much money Lustian wasn't surprised about their hubris, then it happened, something he didn't expect in all the bragging apparently the family head wanted to have something according to Alexis and Alexander, both of them reached underneath the table lifting the object in golden cloth, it was sequined and almost translucent as Lustian looked he could make out what seemed to be a polearm perhaps a pitchfork of some sort, or double-pronged spear, the item was certainly odd in appearance and Lustian had no true idea of what it actually was. That was until Alexis gently unwrapped it starting from the base and slowly working her way up as Alexander held it firm in his hands only giving way when the cloth came to his fingertips, he adjusted it accordingly and held it firm but gingerly as if it was a newborn baby. Though his cousins were both merchants in their own right he had never seen them take such care when holding an item, that was unless it was expensive.
Finally, after what seemed like forever perhaps because of their long display of suspense, his personal excitement, or perhaps both, they finished unwrapping it. Lustian's eyes grew wider as the sequined cloth fell to the ground and in their hands, they held the most beautiful staff Lustian had ever seen into view. "This family is a spear of great power and potential, and not just any spear it a relic of great power. It is known as The Dawnbreaker," Alexis said gesturing to the spear, as Alexander turned it upright with a smug smile on his face as he glanced in Lustian's direction. It was a gorgeous golden spear with ornate designs and inscriptions in it that he couldn't quite read the weapon. The weapon looked almost holy if it wasn't for the two-pronged ins, but even so, he thought hit was a cool concept.
"Just where the hell did those two get? That weapon looks amazing, I mean look at that detail." Lustian could feel jealousy building in the pit of his stomach and to his knowledge, his cousin, Alexis, and Alexander both weren't people who were interested in things like weapons or battle. The tinge of jealousy built in his gut once more like his two cousins brazenly, the family gawked in awe many of them who were further at the table leaning inward curious of the staff and possibly just how much money it could net them. Some even raised questions like "how much does it sell for? Where'd you get it?" Whereas many of the older family members sat quietly in their seats simply glancing at the weapon with bated breath. One's eyes even fell on Lustian for a short amount of time, though he was too busy starring at the spear to pay it any true mind.
Then Alexis and Alexander did something totally unexpected, Alexis large smile went back to its average size, an indication that she wasn't too fond of what she had to do next, whereas Alexander's demeanor seemed to mirror hers as they both spoke again this time in unison. "Well, unfortunately... This weapon isn't for sale," they said as their mouths dropped back to a bit of a grimace instead of a smile. "It is to be presented to someone in particular," Alexander spoke disdain seeming to lace his tongue, with Alexis following up with "The heir of the family, it seems he has a secret admirer." To this Lustian's eyes went even wider than before, he had a look of confusion on his face. "Though we don't know what favors our dear heir had to trade in order to gain such a thing it," Alexis said, with Alexander once again bringing up the rear of their ongoing banter with another snide comment muttered under his breath, "or what unsavory things he had to do to get it." Though where such an accusation came from Lustian didn't know.
The pair walked the staff over to Lustian, along with the sequined golden cloth and a letter. They stood in front of him and reluctantly Alexander held the weapon out toward Lustian, who couldn't stop himself from grinning ear to ear regardless of how the twins stared down at him with steely glazes filled with jealousy and dissatisfaction. Lustian had a feeling that if other family members weren't around they would've taken it and sold it, or at the very least would've opted to drop it on the ground in front of him instead of being kind enough to hand it to him. "To you, Lustian Amigochaz Wilhelm, the Wilhelm family leader sends their regards and a present sent to them to bestow upon you, may you use it with great care and valor in your upcoming days."
Lustian gingerly grabbed the cloth, staff, and letter before making his way back up the stairs to his room without so much as a goodbye, though he did at least extend the courtesy of thanking his cousins. Making his way inside his room, Lustian found himself quickly closing the door shut and locking the door. The metallics doorknob could be heard with an audible click, as he had done it so fast he barely had time to register his strength. Placed the cloth on his dresser, and the staff on his work desk before sitting down and opening the letter he had from the Wilhelm family leader. "Dear Lustian, this weapon was sent to you by someone who wished to keep their identity disclosed, though their anonymity is strange, this weapon has been verified by the best in the family to be of true authenticity. Take great pride in this weapon for this spear "The Dawnbringer" as it was so valiantly named is a great treasure and holds great power. It is said to have been passed down a long line of light mages. Subsuenqntly it eventually found its way to the Cloud Giant Coliseum and had no doubt been put through great hardship. From what we could find out when its most recent owner perished in the Coliseum at the hands of a Lich. The spear itself was thrown into the armory and was not uncovered until recent years when Magic Knights entered the Dungeon and the Daemon invaded. It has now been passed on to you, take great pride and honor in this gift as it is a symbol of justice and strength. For this gift to have come to you, your influence must have clearly spread. Continue to do us proud and do be careful."
Lustian grinned ear to ear, but as he held the weapon up fiddling with it in his hands and rubbing his fingers over it gently, he found himself wondering what kind of person had made a spear with such a unique design as this seemed not to be a spear but a fork instead, that was until he wondered where the blade was and if he could add on, and as if responding to his question or wishes a blade of brilliant holy light appeared, slashing through his work desk, leaving it cut in half, pieces smoldering from the heat radiating off it. Though he was taken aback and amazed and delighted he was glad he hadn't let his fingers wander too far. Next came time to use it, so found himself spinning the spear to get a feel for its weight and balance, before doing his usual training of swinging the blade using the Wilhelm spear fighting style that he had been taught since young. Though the furniture in his room could only take so much damage before he had to open a window to let it air out as it smelled of burning wood and fabric.
