Luli is a twenty-one-year-old woman that looks several years younger than one might expect, though unlike her twin brother she doesn't mind this. She stands five foot two inches tall and weighs one hundred and ten pounds. Due to the clothing she wears it is hard to tell that she's actually quite athletically toned like her brother due to their duties but the flowing clothing she wears gives a more fragile appearance which she's more than happy to use to her benefit. Unlike her brother, her body carries very few blemishes as she is healed quicker than her brother meaning that there is a chance for scarring to occur, although it is rarer. Due to her gender and role, she is always covered so no one would see the blemishes she holds regardless.

Her clothing changes day to day due to her station but she can also be found wearing a white sleeveless tang made of durable high-grade cotton, the trim around the collar and the frog clips are both gold, over it, she wears a customised red kimono top with gold embroidery and gold frog clip, around her waist she wears a unique black and deep royal purple sash that has golden clips at the front and a red quan trousers on her feet she tends to wear traditional red slippers. Though she has short hair she has found a way to make it be able to hold a hairpin that is shaped much like a jian.


Luli is much like her brother who is quite reserved, although, it's not as bad as him, as when something is bothering her she will seek him out to inform him. She puts the reason that the pair are reserved is because of their upbringing and the positions that they hold within the Yuiee estate. There is quite a lot she keeps to herself for fear it will get herself or someone else hurt which is something she wouldn't want. She will always try and get straight to the point but she realizes that there are times that things need to be taken slowly lest issues arise. She is caring but she is careful to whom she shows this trait as she knows that people could try and exploit it to hurt those she cares for or even the one she serves. Like her brother, she takes her duties seriously and does her best to fulfil them even if it goes against what she believes is the best course of action.


Luli is the elder sister of her twin brother Junjie, although, there was a mere few moment's difference in their birth. This didn't mean much as it was tradition her brother was favoured due to his gender, she bore no ill will towards him as this was just how it was in their world. Her birth almost killed her mother but it hadn't, still birthing two children so close together was the inevitable cause of the pair never knowing their biological mother. Neither of them had been blamed as it was seen as the will of the gods that this happened. Like most children, she doesn't remember most of her childhood, but she was bubbly and giggly as anyone would expect from a young girl.

Of course, a time came when she wanted to learn about her mother and why she wasn't with them, the matrons told her about the harsh pregnancy and how it had taken its toll on her already sickly mother. She was told that her mother could have saved her own life most likely by ending theirs but refused. She was told this was a love of a mother, willing to put their children above themselves. She told her twin brother and for the longest time, they silently hated themselves for being the cause. Her bubbles popped and she became more reserved even at a young age. At that point, she and Junjie were told the truth about their family and what they truly were.

This broke her heart because she didn't want to live in the shadow pretending to be something that she wasn't, but it was drilled in quick and fast that this was her life and walking away from it wasn't an option. As she grew she learned more about her family both the one her father came from that was used as a front and the Zhongli. She like her brother understood that she would forever be forced to wear the mask of normalcy but knew that she was a trained killer who would do as was expected without a moment of hesitation. There were rules that she and Junjie decided to follow in addition. Rules they told no one even if it could be seen as a betrayal to their family.

It confused her so much but she didn't want to question it allowing her brother to garner the information and relay it to her, it had surprised her when she found out about her brother's path within the Yuiee estate. The reason for this was the heir of the Bai family had always been guardian to the heir of the Yuiee but her brother was being told to watch the youngest, the only Yuiee child that was female but she already understood the path that lay ahead of her and why she would be the one needing protection. Even though it scared her she mustered up the courage to ask her father to see if she could be Hinota's handmaiden. She knew that would give her a greater handicap in training and doing her tasks but given the rules here brother would be limited on where he could go where a maid could go unquestioned.

Her father was going to punish her for her suggestion but saw the wisdom of it and agreed to ask, it had taken a while but it was granted and so on top of her training for the family she was taught how best to serve as a handmaiden by the strictest of matron's and Hinota's own mother as they expected nothing but perfection from those who tended to her personally. She took the harshness even though at times she wanted to quit, it was only because of her brother and her aunty Jukane that she managed to continue. It was always a welcome visit when she came as it showed just how close her family truly where, she had the pair had even taken to calling the woman mother and it had never been corrected by their father.

Time had passed and their father had taken interest in the middle Yuiee child, she could already tell this was dangerous as she had seen his cruel streak toward his servants and others that couldn't defend themselves due to his standing. It irritated her, she grew to hate him but kept it bottled up. That was until one fateful day the boy's jealousy got the better of him and destroyed the ancestral weapon passed from father to son of the Bai family and the punishment her younger brother had endured due to it. She was ready to kill him, she even had her dagger ready to do so. She felt a wave of anger she couldn't pretend wasn't there and would happily take the consequences of her actions. The middle Yuiee child wasn't her family, Junjie was and he had been almost killed and for what?

She had only stopped because using what strength he had at that time Junjie had held her and whispered that it wouldn't only affect her if she moved rashly, that he would never forgive her. She dropped the blade and started to cry wanting to tell their mother what had been happening but she had been forbidden by him, their personal rules made sure they wouldn't betray the other or the lady they had sworn themselves to. She trusted him to tell their mother everything that had passed but on each visit, she watched as his words failed him and wanted to help, but she was always signalled subtly that she couldn't which hurt her more than any punishment could but she still respected his wishes and their own rules.

Over time, they both became numb to their treatments though hers were not as harsh as her brothers as a guard being hurt could be put to training too hard or being over zealous the same couldn't be said about a proper young woman who was also a personal handmaiden. They just concentrated on their duties to Hinota agreeing that this was their duty first and foremost. she loves his family and of course, would do anything for them but like her brother, she views her mask as her true life and wouldn't wish to do anything that could disrupt the delicate balance within it.




MAGIC DESCRIPTION: Luli's magic is quite unique as she can use it to change the direction of other people's spells under the right circumstances, because of this she has found that her sensory abilities are finely tuned to the point that she can protect more people than she should be able to, and even see through illusions others may find difficult. Just because this how her magic functions naturally doesn't mean she hasn't trained herself to be able to use illusions, maps, tracking and communication spells. Due to how she and her brother have been treated over the years she does harbour darkness and this has manifested within her ability to hex and curse people in differing ways without it losing potency, it is also because of that treatment her magic manifested ways to reinforce herself be it in speed to get tasks done or endurence to lessen the blows or even increase the strength of them to others. The oddest thing she has found however is that she has managed to create golems though they often look like dolls that children may play with thanks to petals trapped within the motions of her elements.
