The Grand Magic archives’ librarian seems to be in a bit of a pinch. There are too many books for him to be able to arrange in a comfortable time and he is willing to pay for help!

One night would not be enough, he discerned. Trying to sift through the wisdom contained in the pages of each book; getting lost in reverie and the smell of dust, David realized rather quickly, it would take someone exceptionally clever to organize them all. That person was not him. He strayed feverously, from his self-appointed task, and reality diligently evaded him. Lost; trapped, perhaps, in thought, David pensively meandered from one book to another. Taking his time, to carefully inspect each of the book's spines for fault or damages, tears in the pages or bent corners were abhorrent, but he put them on their respective shelves all the same. It was brain-numbing work, delegated to inferior beings, who had nothing better to do. There were others. Sadly, some were still diligently striving to complete the work the last archivist had left them. David had gone through cataloguing the royal collection a couple of years in a row, for spare Yul and to fill his time mostly. Unfortunately, their were renegade old root fanatics; that believed the old archivist's methods were superior to the current archivist's. Their had been a few skirmishes; over the burning of some revered texts by the zealots. Many books that cannot be found anywhere else were lost. After these incident, candles were forbidden from the library. David considered the destruction of any volumes of knowledge to be blasphemous.
David ran his thumb along the spine of his grimoire, like he was testing the edge of a blade for burrs. The intricacies of the secrets found within it, were mostly undecipherable to him. He hefted it in one hand, testing it's weight, before returning to his work. David was wearing a hooded black cloak, though, he did not cover his ashen-white hair. Hoping to facilitate glimmers of reconciliation between the new workers and the older ones, David had come into the royal capital today primarily to work. However, he soon found it to be a meticulous task. One that was tedious, in the worst way. This was a place he genuinely enjoyed visiting, the people weren't oppressive. David enjoyed that. David also enjoyed perusing the available texts here when he was younger, and had spent countless hours, searching for something else to read after sitting for a few hours in his youth. Now, he was looking for a particular spot for a rather large encyclopedia and was being berated for it's placement. David listened to the man's rebuke, with a sullen; almost hurt, look of contempt plain on his face. David was sure this book was placed, on the shelf, exactly where it should be, "Right here." He explained this like he was Platonizing a caveman. The man shook his head; half in tactful appraisal, half in shock from being spoken to so tersely. David placed his grimoire quickly on the encyclopedia; slamming it down rather, when the man went to move it. Displaying all four clovers as adamantly as he could propense. Displaying it often gave him the breathing room to digress; into subject matter, propose a recourse of some distinct manner. But this guy was not having any lick of it; the resounding thump had startled him, the four leaf grimoire had unnerved him. David did his best to stay civil, though his patience was not infinite. Between bickering and the discourse of rhetoric, the conversation would soon be less about the placement of the book, and more about how ugly the other was going to end up being. The current librarian swept past, reminding them both informatively, that their was a decibel limit being enforced. David smiled, having gotten the gristle out of his teeth over the matter, without being thrown out.

[attr="class","luthorscroll"] Leonora sighed scratching the back of her head, a tiny bit pissed off from the sudden bother of her cousin Leona. Leonora has always had a weird relationship with the feral Lioness that prefers the wild and her methods of hunting over civilization. Remember this one thing and don't even think you will forget NO BURNING ANY, I MEAN ANY, BOOKS. She could hear the scolding reminder of the older vermillion. What did Leona take her for? Leonora knew what was expected and knew what she could do with her flames and what she should not do. She wasn't a child anymore. She was a magic knight, she had been for the past four years. Yes she hasn't done much of anything in her magic knight squad or attempted any notable growth or achievements. However, she wasn't taking anything from it besides having a healthy outlet for her itch of lighting fires or causing damage. [BREAK][BREAK] "Why am I the one sent to the one place I dread, a library." She muttered to herself walking through the doors of the royal archive. She slowly moved into one of the aisles, finding herself lost at why she was there in the first place again "Now why am I here again?" she asked softly in debate trying to remember the books Leona was wanting her to look into. She continued wondering from bookshelf to bookshelf, reading each and every spine she could manage. "Hm? This doesn't belong there." She spoke noting one book to being out of place. She reached forward pulling it out of it's current spot. She felt the cover of the book gently before looking around, deciding to take another stroll heading to a different aisle, over hearing a confrontation between the librarian and a civilian towards the end of it. [BREAK][BREAK] "You know he is right, Taking too much time isn't going to assist him in anything but more work then necessary." She chimed in before saying as she was going to hate the next part she was about to inquire "If you would like, I can certainly assist in ensuring all these books are back in their proper homes." She spoke moving over to the cart of books. Her cherry red hair flowing gently past her shoulders as her light magenta eyes watched the Citizen before turning their attention to the books, slowly building a few small sorted piles by subject.

It had taken very nearly the entire semblance of the afternoon to put them where they were, David however didn't mind the fiery-haired woman moving them into small piles of her own. Although it was certainly an inconvenience, it was in no way perceived as such. The man who David argued with, being just as transfixed, mumbled something before departing in cowardice. Being the braver of the two, meant David had more than most likely volunteered to assist her. His attention lingered for a moment, before he adjusted to the preferential sorting by subject. "Rather than by author," he hesitantly remarked to her; it was a bourgeois choice to categorize them in such a manner, as the current system did endorse this ideology, but also had sections that were alphabetically assorted by name of author. David was by no means propitious when he continued, but tried his best to appear amiable, "Good Choice." His voice showed no sign of wavering as he prepared to re-sort this section, and potentially the entire library, to suit this particular woman. He had defended to the death, every books' concise placement for some reason or another, but was found a hypocrite when allowing the movement of every book this woman had a whim to displace. It was not long before David believed that it would look nicer in this composition, but the work would only be half done, if completed in this manner. Providing the acolytes more than enough ammunition for lectures and debate later, David was sure of that much when he passed them in the rows. They were probably jealous, being an offsider meant he had more free time to do as he pleased.
"My name is David." He had practiced this a thousand times or more, even among dignitaries, an impromptu and spontaneous introduction was generally well-accepted in such a casual circumstance. Exhausting all the possibilities of anything going badly in his mind after some consternation, he simply expected acknowledgement, at the very least. David; having spoken to the red-haired woman, for a second time, pushed his luck, much to the chagrin of his envious co-workers. He asked a question of her; as politely as he could, proposing an opportunity for conversation, "May I ask for your name?" His voice distinctly reflected the emotions of a person that would have rather been elsewhere. The ambient silence of the room offered generally good acoustics for eavesdroppers to listen, but all David could hear was his heart beating in his chest, and the idle turning of pages.
[attr="class","luthorscroll"] "Sorting by subject is much better for a first step as there are some authors you will only find in the one subject, as well as in multiple subjects. Then if I had to say once upon sorted from the subject comes the actual author, then the actual titles of the said books." She spoke, " At least this is how I tend to my personal collections of book." she added shrugging seeing the citizen seemingly agreeing to her way of organization. She took her time sorting through the various books making quick strides of placing books in their proper piles upon differing shelves before sorting each and every shelf as if knowing what she was to expect. "Leonora." She spoke in response "it is nice to meet you David." She added deciding last names were not needed as right now hers didn't hold the power it once did upon herself in younger years. [break][break] She wasn't one for attention let alone idle chit chat as her preference of talking was during her training and the various missions and dungeons she enjoyed going through. Having to be content within the library and not be her free self was truly a pain for the noble "This is so annoying at times to change all you worked on, however, this is not one hill to die on." She spoke pointing up "Each section is a subject and this library is massive. Sorting by author is going against the shelving organization not to mention that some author's works are in the restricted archives that only a selected few can enter. So by that logic, sorting by author will be a spit upon your system as some of the author's works will not join overs," she spoke not caring if he was really listening to her logic or tended to changing from the method he was using compared to her own. After a few minutes she revealed the shelf she was working on "See all the books upon this shelf is organized by first subject, then by author, then by the said title of the author, so now if I was looking for the author's works on this subject. I would find it much easier then the entire catalog of the one author in a single section. Saving me valuable research time and hopefully will allow me to arrive, find the book I was looking for, research what I came for, then return the book and Leave." She spoke explaining the simple logic of her mind. [break][break] Being a noble born was very much part of her logic as this was how she found the library on the estate often organized.

"Woah." Elaborated David, completely chuffed by happening upon this woman. Her poise was precise and impactful, in the way she had already discerned they were ordered, remarkable. David marveled at her graceful sense of order; Leonora, what a beautiful person. Being impressionable, he listened to her every word. Finding no critique to be given, he affirmed his lack of doubts with an appreciable nod. It was evening when he paused to reconcile, it was probably time for him to leave. He let Leonora know just how much he had enjoyed her company, before departing he spoke as loquaciously as one may expect when a commoner addresses a noble. "It was nice meeting you; Leonora. Thank you for devoting your time; to re-organizing this mess, I mean." Uncertain as to where he stood in association, by standard of the state of acquaintanceship, David simply waved rather than linger. David sincerely appreciated her effort and efficiency; had let her know, and then proceeded to provide a reason for leaving as he left, "I got to get home before dinner starts." On the way out David noticed the morbid expressions on the acolyte's faces, he couldn't help but smile in response.
[attr="class","luthorscroll"] Leonora closed her eyes finishing up the last of the needed books with ease, ensuring each and every one had found its home. She remember where most were to go as their wasn't her first time here and it most certainly wasn't going to be her last. "And there we go, everything is organized and back in their proper places." She spoke before looking towards him with a nod of acknowledgement "Absolutely it was a pleasure to meet you David." She replied. "Simple word of advice, don't think too much in organization of your own personal likes, think of those around yourself before yourself as it is much simpler" She spoke gently sending a dismissive wave as she turned back towards the shelf finding the book she was looking for "There it is." She replied opening it as she reached into the satchel beside her removing a quill and parchment writing something on the parchment from within the book before returning the parchment and quill back to her bag, putting the book back on the shelf.
[break][break] She looked towards one of the high windows seeing the sun heading down. It was about time to be getting home as she wasn't expecting herself to have stayed at the library for so long. "God the lioness is going to chew me out for taking to long....Oh well I enjoy hearing her rants." She spoke to herself chuckling gently at the possible conversation as she turned on her heel nodding to the acolytes as she past through the doors. She never intended to deal with anyone or thing but she did find a curiosity of a certain citizen and his method of organizing books.
