Kenja nodded in response to Sumire's observation, silently acknowledging her point about the guardians' likely response. It was becoming increasingly evident that these towering figures held some sort of honor code, one that required respect rather than overt aggression. Asahi, on the other hand, offered a practical plan of action. He suggested that they needed to focus on getting through this room and emphasized the importance of their numbers, despite the potential challenge posed by the guardians. Asahi took the lead, his massive sword in tow, with the intent to engage the first two guardians that would inevitably react to his approach. Kenja couldn't help but find it intriguing that Asahi, a fellow knight, was unwilling to take orders but also felt comfortable giving them, despite the evident discrepancy in their combat abilities. Nevertheless, Kenja understood the pragmatism in Asahi's approach, and he trusted his comrade's fighting prowess, even if he personally found it to be sloppy. Without further delay, Asahi charged forward, swinging his colossal blade in a devastating whirlwind of power, crashing into the guardians.
Turning his attention to the remaining guardians, Kenja decided that he needed to contribute to their collective effort. He gripped Koganebari, the sword Asahi had entrusted him with, and closed the gap between himself and the nearest guardian. As he approached the guardian, Kenja couldn't help but feel a sense of unease about the blade in his hand. Koganebari was made from the Pure Aura element, a material he was quite familiar with due to his training. Yet, now it felt foreign to him, as if he had lost his connection to the very essence of the sword. Nonetheless, he couldn't afford to dwell on it in the heat of battle. Kenja moved with purpose, his swift footsteps bringing him within striking distance of the guardian from years of military training. He sword his sword with precision, striking out three times in rapid succession. Each strike was delivered with calculated intent, aiming to exploit any weaknesses in the guardian's defenses. Kenja's focus remained strong and he mentally kept track of Sumire and Asahi's positions, ensuring their safety and readiness to respond to any unforeseen threats. As Kenja continued to engage the guardian, he mentally commented to himself, "It's beginning to appear that the assessment was on point. These guardians seem to adhere to a code of honor. Let's do our part and handle these guardians respectfully. Together, we'll see this through. I did not expect them to bow before moving into combat."
As Kenja fought against the guardian, he couldn't help but ponder the situation further. The guardians' behavior, adhering to an unusual code of honor, stood in stark contrast to the malevolent forces they had encountered throughout the dungeon. Sumire's initial assessment seemed increasingly accurate, and he believed she had a keen intuition about the workings of this place. He relayed his thoughts to Sumire while maintaining his composure in combat. "You were right, Sumire. It's indeed strange how these guardians haven't attacked immediately, especially considering how hostile the rest of this dungeon has been. I didn't expect to encounter guardians with such an honor code, let alone ones that bow like this. They are peculiar, but there's an undeniable nobility to their actions."
Floor 2 Room 2: [break][break] Sumire listened to them both as she nodded " There seems no other option if you ask me. Every knight has a code and sometimes that code is needing an approval of honor even if they still must fight to protect what they believe in. Such are ways of guardians and the generations that will follow in our footsteps." She spoke watching Asahi give his orders as she was neutral in this situation. She knew where she stood and understood this dungeon would redo the creatures, time and time again. It was memories of the land within the mana that became sentient. They went from dealing with goblins to dealing with swords men, to now four guardians. She needed to finish this quickly as she was sure her own family was getting worried and given their group. She was worried of the reports that she herself would need to give to the magic knights as a civilian. [break][break] "Do not be reckless, it is unsightly infront of a lady." She spoke moving off to the side, keeping out of Asahi's area of attack as she walked towards the last free guardian. She wasn't reckless like the boys. She stared at the guardian as she sighed "The stories you could tell." She spoke bowing in respect to the statue watching it do the same. She honestly hated blades, the clashing and clinging and clanging of the blades together, such force was not meant for one like her. She shake the thoughts from her head as she watched the knight, she twisted the blade around, holding it out and ready before bending her knees slightly, taking off with the knight. She lowered herself into a slid under it's swords swing as she came up with her blade cuting into it's arm quickly turning herself around, using her free hand to guide her slide to a stop watching the statue fall then crumble as she stood up shaking her hand a bit " you were a worthy opponent. "She said to herself gently bowing to the crumbled statue.
[break][break] She turned towards the boys moving towards the exits " No need to worry about me, lets keep going." She said with a smile. She wanted to waste no more time in idle chat. they were so close to hopefully ending this dungeon.
[attr="class","augusttext"] Floor 2, Room 3 [BREAK][BREAK] All of the guardians had been defeated, yet I seemed as if the group had not completed their task. With the guardians defeated the group still had no way of going forward to the next room, however there in reality was no next room as they would soon see. After a few moments of the guardians being defeated a platform would begin to rise up from the middle of the room. Upon this platform laid many riches from gold to silver to platinum, however the most are and probably valueuable thing up their was a sword. [BREAK][BREAK] The sword laid to rest inside of a rock up on the platform as it rose to the air with Asahi saying “That sword… I’ve heard stories similar to this. About a sword stuck in a rock, only to be drawn by the chosen sword master or sometimes a king.” It would not take long after he said this for the platform to finish its rise and would stop, all before a armored figure would appear on the platform and place its hand upon the sword. Asahi watched as this was happening and as he saw the armored figure reach for the sword he would say “Guys I don’t think we should let him get that…” [BREAK][BREAK] In reality the black bull was right, however there was no way he, Kenja, or Sumire could stop the man from grabbing the weapon at this point. With a firm grip and a mighty pull, the armored figure would pull the sword from the rock before heaving it over his shoulder, similarly to how Asahi had been carrying his shadow guard. “I shall defend these lands till the very end! On my honor as a knight until it is either I or my enemy that is laid to rest!” The armored figure would say with a stroke of conviction in his voice. [BREAK][BREAK] Asahi would smile before stepping up in front of Kenja and Sumire before saying “You speak of honor as a knight. Well on my honor as a samurai I promise that I will defeat you and lay you to rest. Now come forth at me!” With both combatants saying their beginning words Charlemagne would charge Asahi with his sword and water magic. The swordsman would aim his first strike at Asahi’s torso, but it was easily deflected with the huge blade of shadow guard. After that attack Asahi would counter the knight by kicking him backwards while he was still staggered from the sword strikes.

[attr="class","haniascroll"]Floor 2, Room 3
In the heart of the grand chamber, the atmosphere felt heavy with history and eeriness. It was as if time had frozen within these walls, preserving the regal splendor of a long-lost era. The ceiling bore intricate designs, and faint cracks allowed slivers of light to penetrate the room, casting a subdued glow over everything. "Thy art not worthy." followed by "Thy must turn back." once a whisper echoing through the room was now getting louder and quicker as if creating music for the scene. As Charlemagne's hand gripped the ornate sword embedded in stone, the platform carrying it began to rise dramatically. The pristine and elaborate blade, dazzling with an otherworldly sheen, emerged from the stone. However, as the platform ascended, it revealed not the resplendent weapon it initially appeared to be but rather a decaying and tarnished sword held by Charlemagne's gaunt and mummified hand. The once heroic knight hoisted the tarnished blade over his shoulder, his tattered and weathered armor clanking with each movement. In a voice that seemed to emanate from a distant past, he declared his unwavering resolve. "I shall defend these lands until the very end. On my honor as a knight until it is either I or my enemy that is laid to rest." With these solemn words, Charlemagne became a force to be reckoned with, his fluid and masterful motions slicing through the air. Water magic swirled around him, forming blades and shields that added complexity and lethality to his combat style. As the battle raged on, Charlemagne moved with elegance and precision, each strike calculated and graceful, almost as if they were preplanned. He was a true master of the sword, his movements akin to a mesmerizing dance. Kenja couldn't help but admire the knight's skill, even as he swung his tattered and broken sword with deadly intent.
In response to Charlemagne's attacks, Asahi charged forward. Their blades clashed, steel against steel, each combatant pushing their limits. It was a clash of principles as much as it was a physical duel, a battle that transcended the realm of the living and the dead. Kenja observed the battle, poised and ready to assist. His own sword, Koganebari, itched to see some action. Charlemagne, with his water magic swirling around him, crafted a formidable floating shield that moved with an uncanny grace. The shield was an agile defender, constantly shifting and adapting to intercept any threats, while the blades of water continued their relentless assault on the intruders. Kenja, keenly observing the battle unfolding before him, recognized that they needed to break through this watery defense to reach Charlemagne. He assessed the situation and made a quick decision, charging toward the floating shield. With each step, his elegant sword, Koganebari, gleamed brilliantly. Kenja's first strike was precise, aiming directly at the center of the watery barrier. The shield shimmered but held firm. The knight responded with a calm and deliberate motion, manipulating the water to mend the damage inflicted. Undeterred, Kenja launched his second strike, targeting the edge of the shield, where the water seemed less dense. His blade sliced through the watery defenses, creating a shimmering rupture in the magical barrier. Realizing that breaking through required more effort, Kenja steadied himself for a final strike. With a determined look in his eyes, he brought Koganebari down with all his strength and skill, delivering a powerful blow that fractured the floating shield. Water splintered in all directions, revealing a vulnerable path towards Charlemagne.
Kenja's efforts had opened the way for Sumire and Asahi to advance. Although the blades of water continued to whirl dangerously around the knight, Kenja had created an opportunity for his companions to strike at Charlemagne, who stood as a symbol of honor, defending his realm even in death.
[break][break] Sumire watched the room after the last guardians were defeated, expecting a door to reveal itself or something new to form an entrance to the next room. She had a feeling they were nearing the end of this dungeon. the enemies were getting fewer and fewer but harder and harder, that had to mean they were nearing the strongest creature in this dungeon. It was then she watched a platform form of a ethereal energy upon the middle of the room. Upon this platform laid many riches from gold to silver to platinum, however the most are and probably valuable thing up their was a sword. She listened to Asahi's acknowledgment of the sword and stories as she remembered hearing stories of a kingdom's fate and ruler being once decided by who could remove that blade from the rock. She watched a figure in armor formed next to the rock reaching out to grasp it.
[break][break] "I don't see us doing anything to stop him." She spoke in response to Asahi as she listened to the knights words. He was like a ghostly memory of this land within the abnormality of the dungeon. She found it interesting of this honor the knight speaked of when she listened to asahi speak of his honor as a samurai. She wasn't sure how to feel with these two honors as she knew interfering in this fight was disgraceful to the both of them.
[break][break] She was about to say something as she turned to see Kenja jump in as she sighed deciding to assist in a different way " Asahi, I will be leaving this enemy for you to take on. Do be careful with the healing I am going to give you to help you as it will only take so much damage to heal from "she spoke bringing her hands to her lips with the right hand being under the left she gives a light kiss as if she's about to blow it towards someone, however, she brings her hand to her chest just above her heart curling them slightly as she begins to sing a soothing lullaby in her native tongue. As she sings a pale sapphire runic circle appears around her feet almost giving off the illusion that she is standing within a pool of water at first glance. She focused her song to Asahi allowing him to be covered in the blue light of the spell.

[attr="class","augusttext"] The battle between Asahi and Charlemagne raged on, meanwhile Kenja and Sumire decided to help in other ways. Kenja was focusing on taking out the knight’s magical offense and defense, meanwhile Sumire hung back and played her supportive role. Asahi could hear the words of his allies but he would not respond due to his focus on the battle before him. It was a battle between two different codes of honor and no sensible person would interfere in such a thing. He knew he needed to end the fight as fast as he could so that they could hopefully meet the riches that awaited them. [BREAK][BREAK] Asahi saw Kenja destroy the water shield created by the knight however the offensive aspect of his magic was still active. With the offensive magic still up he knew it would be difficult to get close without taking any damage, so he would begin to internally lay out his options while looking at the battle. *If I attack I have a opening without the shield, but that will also put me in range of his water… but I have something that he doesnt. I just have to be willing to endure just a bit of pain here…* [BREAK][BREAK] Asahi had calculated a plan and once he did he would charge forward towards the black knight again. As he charged he would drop his large sword shadow guard causing it to dispel, before snapping his fingers on his right hand and saying “Shadow Step” which would summon forth a new sword, or rather a dagger. Asahi would then get within range with his new weapon, and the black knight’s water blades would quickly move to attack. “Sorry Kenja, you just hang back for now. I need just a little bit more mana and focus for this…” As he made such a statement he would also dispel the sword that Kenja had been holding, with the hopes he could get his focus to cast an actual spell. [BREAK][BREAK] Once the sword was dispelled Asahi would say “Flow like shadows.” Causing a shadow like aura to project around him. This aura was just enough to counter the water blades and snap them in 2 pieces, this left the knight with only his real sword to do combat with. Asahi would smile before saying “Now its just me and you bud…” before lunging at the knight with his dagger. The first of his strikes aimed at the torso from a vertical angle, landing right on point and causing the knight to stagger. Asahi would try to take advantage of his staggered state, but he was quickly taught this would be no easy fight. The next attack was aimed at the head, but the black knight was able to resummon a single water blade to defend him. Asahi’s dagger clashed with the blade causing its dense water to ‘crack’ and break, giving the knight a moment to breathe. [BREAK][BREAK] As the water blade broke Asahi would use his smaller blade to continue his speedy and nonstop assault. The two blades would clash numerous times, with the room being filled with nothing but the sounds of clanging metal, and the sight of two warriors with sparks flying from their weapons. The fight would go on for a few minutes with their looking like no clear victor, in the non magical duel, until one thing would lead Asahi towards the end goal. As the black knight would swing his sword Asahi would use the unique design of his dagger to trap his blade. The blade laid stuck between the two sections of Asahi’s dagger causing the knight to speak once more “You show skill! You would have made a great student for me, I wish not to be your enemy. However I must protect my lands even if it cost me everything.” [BREAK][BREAK] Asahi would laugh a bit as the two were still weapon locked and say “If you really didn’t wanna go this route we didn’t have to but its a little late for that. I must free you from this curse you are in, no swordsman deserves that! So with this I wish that you find peace!” After saying his final words Asahi would use his dagger to unarm the black knight and made the sword go flying off towards Sumire and Kenja. With the knight unarmed it was time to end things and so Asahi would lunge once more, this time with a stabbing thrust attack. The thrust came quickly aimed at the neck of the knight, where the blow would successfully land. Asahi would watch as the knight would begin to drop down to his knees, grabbing out to take hold of Asahi’s shoulder. “I did not wish to let my people or land down… but if I must fall at least it was to someone who understands… Take my blade and carry on the legacy… of the sword.” [BREAK][BREAK] The knight would draw his final breathe and say his last word before he would fall down face first to the ground. After the knight had fell Asahi would silently say a prayer to himself before flipping over the body and retrieving his dagger. Asahi would then make his way over to where the knight’s sword had fallen before picking it up off the ground and saying “I shall honor your last request. I shall get this repaired and keep it in your honor, great Charlemagne…” Asahi would then look to his two allies and smile saying “So looks like we made it to the end all alive and in one piece. Guess we should go see what we got. I hope its something pricey up there so I can sell it and send money back home!” After this the black bull would walk off and began to examine the riches him and his team had gotten. [attr="class","haniascroll"]Floor 2, Room 3
Kenja, after his decisive contribution in breaking through Charlemagne's watery shield, withdrew from the immediate fray. He retreated to Sumire's side, maintaining a vigilant watch over the battlefield. His sharp eyes darted around, scanning for any signs of additional threats or surprises. The room seemed to have calmed, and for the moment, their focus was on the duel unfolding before them. He watched as Asahi and Charlemagne clashed in an intense combat, their blades clashing with sparks flying. Kenja acknowledged the skills displayed by both fighters. Honor in combat, Kenja thought as he observed the battle. The concept intrigued him. He wondered whether honor was truly as important as some made it out to be. Was it worth risking one's life for, especially in a world filled with danger and chaos? He considered the notion of survival versus honor. Survival, he mused silently. It was an instinctual drive, the primal urge to stay alive at all costs. In the face of overwhelming odds, did honor have a place? Kenja had witnessed fights and had faced tough adversaries, and in those moments, the choice between honor and survival weighed heavily on his mind.
The outcome of Asahi's duel ended with Asahi winning in the end. But the fallen knight's words echoed in Kenja's thoughts. Take my blade and carry on the legacy… Kenja decided that honor, in the context of combat, could be a matter of perspective. To some, it was an unwavering code, a set of principles guiding their every action. To others, like Charlemagne, it might be a burden, a responsibility to protect what they held dear, even in death. Asahi's victory, from Kenja's perspective, demonstrated that survival often depended on adaptability, on choosing the path that led to the best possible outcome. Perhaps honor had its place, but it was not always the sole guiding force in the unpredictable realm of battle. In the end, what mattered was the determination to see the fight through, to face whatever challenges arose, and to carry on the legacy—whatever that legacy might be.
Kenja stood beside Sumire, as he observed the aftermath of their challenging journey through the dungeon. He couldn't help but reflect on the trials they had faced, the battles they had fought, and the strange honor bound knight they had encountered. It had been an arduous and unpredictable path, but they had emerged victorious. "Sumire," he began, his tone thoughtful, "I want to thank you, not as a Magic Knight but as me, a person. Your support and healing magic was invaluable in this dungeon. We've faced many challenges together, and it's made us stronger. This dungeon, I believe, is now claimed by Clover Kingdom, and its riches will undoubtedly be a valuable addition to our kingdom." He turned his gaze to the wealth strewn about the room, contemplating the potential impact this discovery might have. As a member of the Golden Dawn, Kenja was always mindful of the kingdom's interests and the responsibility that came with his role but it wouldn't hurt anything if Sumire took some of the spoils for herself as well. "The legends and stories surrounding dungeons like these are always fascinating," he continued, " but the reality is often far more perilous. We've proven that we can overcome whatever challenges we encounter." Kenja nodded to Sumire, a gesture of gratitude and respect for her contributions to their mission. They had ventured into the unknown together and emerged victorious.
Kenja approached Asahi, a traditional stoic look in his eyes. He said with a nod, "Asahi, that was a battle well fought and I believe he rests in peace now." As they stood amidst the treasures of the dungeon, Kenja's curiosity got the better of him. He examined the sword that Asahi had retrieved, recognizing its significance. "This sword, it's a relic of great historical value. Once we return to the kingdom, I'm sure it will be carefully studied and preserved. It might even find a place in the Royal Museum." Kenja then turned his attention to the treasure scattered around them. "I wonder how the kingdom will distribute these riches," he mused aloud. "It should benefit the people and strengthen our resources. The Clover Kingdom will surely put them to good use."
With the dungeon conquered and the treasures secured, Kenja decided it was time to leave and report their success to the Golden Dawn. Leaving the depths of the dungeon behind, he made his way back to the surface. His mind was already forming the words he would use to convey the details of their adventure and the valuable artifacts they had uncovered. Upon reaching the surface, Kenja quickly made his way to the nearest Golden Dawn outpost. He was greeted by fellow Magic Knights who were eager to hear about their mission. Kenja provided a detailed report, sharing the challenges they had faced, the battles they had fought, and the significance of the relics they had obtained. He made sure to emphasize the importance of the sword retrieved from Charlemagne, believing it to be a valuable addition to the kingdom's historical records. As he finished his report, Kenja couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment. The dungeon had been bested, and the treasures within would now be put to good use for the benefit of the Clover Kingdom. With his duty fulfilled, he returned to the Golden Dawn headquarters, ready to take on whatever new challenges awaited him as a member of the prestigious Magic Knight squad.
[break][break] Sumire watched the battle from her safe distance watching Kenja and asahi working together to taking down Charlemagne. She wasn't sure how to feel of this. asahi was taking this battle to heart and Kenja was assisting as she was. She kept her song up to repair any damage he suffered. She was amazed at the teamwork between them both and the effort all of them have put into the battle.
[break][break] She watched the exchange of words between the two sword wielders before watching asahi end the knight's life once again and him finally being laid to rest. She didn't understand much of the dungeons or sentiment telling a mana memory something that wasn't fully true or to be honored as there was more then just them to protect this land. She turned on her heels listening to Kenja
as she stopped at the entrance of the room " Thankyou for your words kenja. they do mean alot to me. as much as i wish i could stay, i do need to return home as I have been out for too long "she said with a smile walking away and out of the dungeon with kenja. She grabbed her broom before setting off back to the royal capital to return home
