| [attr="class","Solimage"]❝Trusting hand in hand, Life Death will follow" [attr="class","Solscroll"] It was mid day in the fringe and currently Sol was at one of the training grounds for the Delothosin it was marked with wards and hidden away but provided the perfect spot to train away from prying eyes and anyone who might intrude and risk getting hurt, being in the fringe meant that there was quite a bit of due to the dangerous creatures that roamed the area but the mantis was confident in his strength and was able to maneuver thru the area with little to no worry, at the moment the weather in the fringe was calm and the sun was shining with no clouds in the sky while the weather had a bit of chill to it but not enough to be bothersome. At the moment Sol was garbed in his usual clothing for when he went out on missions which consisted of black boots simple black pants and a black sleeveless far eastern shirt, his hair was currently tied into a loose ponytail in order to keep it neat as he stood and focused on what he had come here to train in Sol had approached his birth family in regards to finding a secluded place to train and since he as still connecting he knew that some things were off limits but thankfully he had been given the directions to this place and while he had considered reaching out to the Yuiee to visit and train he knew that there was some apprehension about his elements not that Hinotas parents had shown him any hate far from it. They had merely asked him to stay in a certain spot for a reason and he respectfully had agreed without any fuss and thanked them for their hospitality to him, with his destination planned now Sol intended to train and make sure he had a hidden ace for what might come in the mission against lilith that was fast approaching. While the Delothosin knew that his strength was growing by leaps and bounds he knew also that the enemy would likely have eyes and ears trying to find out what was in the works and he hoped that a few hidden spells might help in giving the daemons a nasty surprise. Sol knew it was sound logic after what had happened at the Blake estate due to how one unexpected person had caused the daemons to retreat since it had been an unknown factor. he stood with his eyes closed as he focused on his magic specifically his decay magic he knew that he needed to get better at it and with his power increasing he was learning a new trick with his elements which was the ability to transform and transfigure things ranging from himself to the very elements around him but Sol was currently focused more on what he could do about transforming himself before he started to focus on what was around him since in his mind the terrain around him could always shift which would make such a thing more difficult, the ruby eyed man took a few deep breaths to center his focus as he was rapidly making progress in getting used to the power of transformation but he was by no means an expert at it and he knew that if he wasnt careful it could be dangerous not only to him but to things around him.”alright remember need a clear image on what I want to transform into it cant be muddled or it can go sideways fast” he said to himself as he raised his right hand up above his head before bringing it down as he slowly made a fist and focused his mana as black and deep blue flickers of magic started to flow around him. Sol watches as his skin had started to shift from its normal snow white color to more of a pale corpse color as claws formed on his fingers and as the transformation started to go up his arms he suddenly felt a strain on his spell and his mana and then he felt the transformation break as his arms and fingers went back to normal and he took a few deep breaths as he felt the strain hit him then gradually start to fade, “I knew this wasnt going to be easy but shifting like this is tough especially using decay magic but I can do this I need to do this if we dont beat lilith the result is something I dont want to imagine” he whispered to himself as he raised his right hand to start again aiming to try and make more progress.” this time lets push the size of my form along with the appearance” he muttered as he took another deep breath as he would once again form a fist as he brought his hand down and focused as he felt his size started to increase as he could tell he was becoming taller and rather quickly at that as he also saw his skin once again shifting to that pale corpse like color. 'so far so good lets keep going' he thought to himself as he started to transform his clothes as well as they changed and became more frayed and turned from a normal shirt into a long robe with ragged sleeves. However as soon as he finished the clothing he felt the strain hit again and he struggled to keep the transformation together as after a few moment the mantis found himself going back to normal his clothes back to what they were before and his skin color back to its albino shade. This time once the spell had ended Sol dropped to a knee as he felt the stress of pushing the spell hit him and he took a few breaths to get some much needed oxygen, glancing up at the sky the decay mage could tell he was losing daylight 'im not stopping I will train all thru the night if I need to in order to get this right, there just something im not grasping something that is holding me back but if I keep pushing before I can figure it out im likely to burn my mana out before my training yields any fruit' he thought Sol decided to talk a small break and he sat down in the center of the training space pondering over what was causing him such issue, as he focused on it he closed his eyes and thought back to his training at the Yuiee estate with Elenor and the princess from his birth family, the training they had given him was brutal and had pushed him to his limits on multiple occasions even risking his sanity at points but he had finished all of it and had come out much stronger and with a deeper understanding of his magics and their nature, hearing his stomach rumble brought him out of his musings as he recalled that his family had insured that there was a meal here for him and he stood up before moving to one side of the training area and grabbing the meal that had been prepared for him, he was happy to find a container of miso soup with tofu in it along with one containing Soba and shrimp together and some jasmine tea to drink, the Mantis quickly gave a quick thank you for the meal before cracking his chopsticks and digging in. he started with his soba and shrimp and enjoyed the taste of the noodles combined with garlic and the tender shrimp meant to give him much needed protein. He was grateful for this as he needed to make sure he kept his energy up and it gave him time to ponder his problems with the spell in question. 'perhaps I am pushing the transformation too fast thats why I am feeling the strain as I weave the spell my body is struggling to keep up with the transformation process' he thought as he continued to slurp up his noodles enjoying the simple flavor of it before finishing It off and then taking a sip of his tea letting the floral notes sit on his palate, Sol thought more on the reasoning since while rushing the effects of the spell could explain the issue it was possible that it wasnt the only one. The more he thought about it he realized that he could have also been going to slow as well and it also dawned on him that it could have been that he was trying to shift parts of himself one at a time and that was straining his mana even further, he took a sip of his miso soup and enjoyed the deep savory flavor and felt his energy returning to him that he had used in the failed attempt to get his new spell to work and he quickly finished his soup before he sipped on his tea and made a mental list of what did and didnt work so far during this training session. 'ok so I need to keep the transformation going at a steady pace not to fast or to slow, I need to focus on all aspects of the transformation at once not just warping one piece at a time and make sure to keep a clear and concise image of what I'm shifting into in my mind as I do so' he thought as he went thru what he knew and what he theorized and now he decided it was time to put it to the test, his stomach was sated and his fatigue was gone so as he finished off the remainder of his jasmine tea before putting them away so he could return them later and he walked back to the middle of the training area again. As he did he stretched a bit to make sure he was loose and limber for this and he took a deep breath before starting up the training again, he raised his right arm and hand above his head before he would bring his limb down forming a fist in front of his face as he channeled his mana to begin the transformation. As he did so he maintained his thoughts on going steady and focusing on all aspects as he felt his body starting to grow once more not as quickly as the last time which had been rather rapid which was another reason he realized that he had felt the strain he was rushing the matter, as he kept growing and getting bigger his skin color was shifting back to the pale corpse color as claws once again tipped his fingers. Sol noted that he kept his focus on every aspect of the change as the clothes were shifting as well to the frayed and dark robes of what one might call a dark mage or a lich as they ghosted the ground and hid his lower body from sight. However just as he finished the clothes and felt the hood of the robe cover his head he felt it once again the strain as he stopped growing in height but short of where he was meant to and he felt the transformation break as he stood there and took a few deep breaths as he was now back to how he usually looked. “so close I'm so close I just need to grasp what is holding back the full effect of this spell, I'm on the right track so I just need a little bit more” he muttered to himself as he closed his eyes and tapped his foot on the ground as he pondered more on what could be causing such an issue with his new spell. Sol knew he was on the verge of a breakthrough and with just a bit more effort he would have success but it was figuring out this final hurdle which would be tough but he was so close, as he pondered it he once again went over what he was doing wrong and what he was doing right the ruby eyed man suddenly had a thought, what if he was actually being a bit too focused on the control aspect of the transformation since while he did need to make sure the transformation was going at a steady pace perhaps it was an innate fear of losing control of the restraints he held inside on his darker emotions yes he did vent them in a healthy way and for the betterment of the kingdom as a whole. 'perhaps if I just let go of the worry of those emotions running rampent then I can finish spell and get it perfected' he thought as he moved to try once again. Once again lifting his hand to try the spell out Sol took a deep breath before bringing it down while forming a fist and as he did he channeled his mana to begin the transformation, once again this time he started to grow in size as his clothing shifted to the dark frayed robe that came down and pooled at the ground slightly as his body's color shifted once more to that corpse grey colors with claws on his fingers, he continued growing as he focused on keeping the transformation going not focusing on anything else but finishing it as he kept his mind calm and clear, the front of his robes gained an intricate silver embellishment looking almost like silver vines on the front with a red half moon mask above it while on his shoulders were black and silver pauldrons and above them was a a black and silver ribbon of some material just hovering above Sols head and shoulders. The robes hood came over his head hiding his hair as he brought his hand out of a fist and held it over his face before moving it in a ripping motion to reveal not the handsome face of the delothosin but instead a expressionless silver mask that revealed not crimson eyes but four blinding white eyes staring out, atop the decay mages head was an intricate silver crown that levitated just above his head but the most terrifying aspect of this transformation was from his back two immense dark arms emerged both tipped with gigantic and powerful claws that could easily rend a man in two with no effort at all. In the right claw was held an large scepter made from purple crystal and Sol took a breath as he felt the transformation stabilize, he was no longer feeling any strain from trying to set the transformation up and now he could remember how this felt so he could replicate it when he needed to do it again until this kind of spell casting was second nature to him. “finally got it and in good time as well” he said before he blinked under the mask and noticed that his voice was different in this transformation as well it was deeper and echoy sounding much more menacing then his usual voice and he gave a small mental nod of approval as he decided to test out his movements with this new spell. He took a few steps forward noticing that his feet were still covered and no big amount of movement would change that though he could feet were bare under the robes and though it wasn't shown he still had pants on as well in case he was to get knocked down. As he stepped forward he stretched his fingers and arms making sure they could move alright before he tested his new limbs as well, despite how big they were Sol found that they moved just as nimbly as his normal limbs with him making the left arm swat the air before him before forming a fist and punching forward as well, glancing at the scepter in his right claw Sol swing it in front of him as well realizing that it was powerful as a club but with the strength he felt flowing thru him right now he knew that anything he smacked with it was more or less going to be turned into red mist quickly and he tested the grip on the staff before he suddenly made the claw grip it harder before crushing it and sending razor sharp shards of crystal shrapnel forward making the decay mage realize that not only did he have strength up close but he also had a means of attacking at long range as well. After a few moments Sol released the spell as the transformation broke and he was back to normal and he couldn't help but gain a grin as he had succeeded in his training now all he needed was to refine what he had learned and he was all set. “I hope they are ready because im going to make sure I have more then enough strength from the task ahead no matter what we will succeed” he said feeling confident but not arrogant as he moved to grab the containers that held his lunch and he would turn and start to exit the ground intent on heading back to the Delothosin estate to return the containers and return to his squads headquarters to get some rest before he would focus on further training as well as his usual missions he did for the kingdom. As he stepped off of the training area he glanced back at it for a moment before he kept a small smile on his face.' with every day we grow stronger as a team and with that knowledge im sure we will make it thru the battle thats coming though I have no doubt we would get thru without scars but we knew that the moment we took this mission but I have faith no just in myself but my team and in my own magic and skill' he thought to himself as he headed back home Combat Summary [attr="class","Solscroll2"] TL;DR: Spells: Items: Corrupting Shadow [break][break] Rank & Element: Junior ¦ Shadow[break] Class & Type: Relic ¦ Weapon (Sword)[break] Magic Specializations: Attack Creation ¦ Sensory[break] Appearance & Lore:[break] [break][break] An ornate katana with a twenty-four-inch (60 cm) blade. the sheath is made of what seems to be made of marble which has been carefully carved into and engraved with what looks like ruby, the base of the sheath has a gold kojiri.
