Today was a day he had been looking forward for a while now. Some time ago, Gawain had ventured into a dungeon alongside two other knights, one of them being significantly stronger than he was, but seeming to be more restrained when it came to throwing his magic around. What the exact reasoning behind this was however, that he did not know. All he knew was that the dungeon ended up being a huge stinking failure, though one thing remained from all of that. His challenge issued at the Vermillion. At the time, Gawain was certain the guy was holding back, and that he was stronger than he was. It was the sole reason behind why he had issued the challenge in the first place, to see whether his assumption at the time was true, and whether or not he’d be able to get strong enough to beat him in a one on one.
Even after becoming a magic knight, Gawain never stopped keeping track of new arrivals for the other squads, nor did he stop keeping track of those who were actively rising through the ranks within their respective orders. As someone who had been growing at a stellar rate, keeping track of people who were also trying their best to get stronger was a good thing, as it allowed him to test his mettle against foes that weren’t directly out to kill him and vice versa. After all, quite recently, the boy had gotten his ass handed to him while fighting some supernatural foe on one of the isles of Skjaergard. Being hospitalized for several days, of which most were spent vast asleep, the drive to become stronger and better wield his already vast amounts of mana had become more prominent than ever.
At some point, he was going to return to where he had initially found the creature. And when he did, he was going to give it his all to either destroy it, or die in the process of trying his damn hardest. For that explicit reason, Gawain had been pushing himself and his body beyond the limits of any normal kid ever since being released from the hospital. With how he felt right now, at least physically, he could honestly say that he would not outright lose to the beast as easily as he had before. But for the time being, he could park all of that in the back of his mind, as something more pressing required his attention. The one currently deserving his attention was none other than Leonard Vermillion, who was currently protecting the honor of the Vermillion family and the Crimson Lions in a show of strength against the commoner who had managed to enter into the Silver Eagles.
As he arrived at the Vermillion estate, he looked around and took in the general atmosphere of the place. In all honesty, this was the first time he had ever visited one of the main families where they lived, let alone to fight one of them in their literal backyard. Wearing a rather simple attire existing out of a dark grey Gi (Keikogi) with a black undershirt and soft black boots, he felt like wearing an attire that could breathe and move with him when he moved around and trained to his best, the grey coarse ring on his finger hardly even stood out among all those dark tints. What did stand out was the stark contrast of his ashen white hair and his turquoise eyes seemingly glaring all over the place as if taking in every bit of the sights as he passed them by. By the time he arrived at the training ground, he felt like he more or less knew all that he needed to and just began stretching, waiting for his opponent to arrive.
