[attr="class","silasreescroll"] Tip tap tip tap. It was hard to mistake the sound of leather open toed boots of a certain Vermillion as he confidently trudged along...for now. Still dressed in the usual red and gold, the young mage was out and about in the capital towards Sumire's boutique. She had expressely requested his presence there for something and the young noble knew not to leave that woman waiting. An angry seamstress was definitely higher on the nope list than a wild mana beast. That was also the very reason his own outfit was always spotless and well taken care of even after training or after battle. "...Lady Sumire? Are you... around?" Would be what he stated as he peaked in from the open door of her workshop. He didn't quite know if he wanted to just step in by himself or wait for the lady to welcome him in. [break][break] He wondered why he had been called. Perhaps it was to checkup the outfit he was wearing. Would not be the first time, but outside of some natural wear and tear due to use the entire thing was still tightly fitting the young redhead like a glove. Perhaps she required him to deliver something form her to his family? It would certainly be faster that way, but the Vermillion did have retainers that would be able to take care of that, so that was not probably the thing. Perhaps she was about to give him a newer version of what he was wearing? She did seem to be much more interested in keeping him dressed nicely than he was. Perhaps he functioned as a walking advert for the quality of her work so he needed to always be sparkling new all the time.
[break][break] "Hello...?" He repeated, finally getting the courage to walk in the main room and close the door behind him. Naturally, he wouldn't go anywhere else before he was sure he didn't just dream the call from the seamstress. He considered his options and decided to just wait there for a while to see if she would turn up. Otherwise he could just go do some training and see if he could swing by a little bit later on in the day. If she wasn't there at the shop then she would be most likely handling something important.
"There you are Leonard. I havn't heard from you of how the outfit actually fit if it needed any stitches or refitting."Spoke a voice as Sumire stood behind him holding a woven basket with alot of scraps of cloth within it as she walked past him beckoning for him to follow as she walked towards the station she normally worked at. It was much too bare and seeming to be packing up as the servants moved in and out of the area tending to the cleaning and tidying of the place as she set down the basket on her work station.
[break][break] She was in a blue hanfu today that complimented her blue eyes as she dug through the basket for something, listening out for him before moving around some of the packed items looking through the various bags and boxes, seeming much too busy to notice much of anything but still within ear shot, occasionally looking over at him from what she was doing. Busy busy busy. [break][break] She was preparing for her new station in one of the warehouses. Or more her own building for the main client she held. She liked her small area but it was deemed unfit for the mass collections. It was needed to grow, even if the water seamstress didn't want to.
A first this item may seem like a simple thin, yet large golden ring that could be used as a bracelet, that is until each of the other pieces are connected. The first seems to be an elaborate hair comb whose teeth are made to sit inside the ring, this part of the hairpin is adorned with carefully crafted butterflies and flowers made of several different colours of jade. The flowers have small pearls in the centre while each of the butterfly's antennae is made from gold with a small piece of mother of pearl at the top. At the base of the comb section of the hairpin, there are three golden chains which start with three pearls, then three small gold charms, three more pearls, three small golden balls, and two butterflies on the outer chain while the centre is split into three additional chains. The centre has mother of pearl beads. Each of the five chains has a small carved pearl flower. To make sure the ring and comb stay in place the last piece of this elaborate hairpin is the pin itself which is made from gold that has a pearl at the top with two splintering golden chains that have the same small carved pearl flowers.[break]
History:[break]
The history of this hairpin has been a long one, in fact, it has been around for so long and had so many owners that the adornments and chains had once been broken, chipped or lost. The origins of the hairpin weren't anything significant, a man met a woman, the man fell in love with that woman and wanted to show his devotion to her and so made a token of his love. It was something that was given to the firstborn son of the Yinsil family at their coming of age so they may give it to their betrothed when he felt the pang of love for her. By the time it had gotten to Enlil, it was nothing more than a husk of its former self and so through painstaking love and attention to detail he removed each of the old adornments making them into new pieces of jewellery for his mother and sisters before crafting brand new ones for the woman that would one day be his wife. It had taken him years to get the hairpin in such a state that he found it aesthetically pleasing to look at and that his future wife would feel honoured to wear it to show their bond of love.
[break][break] Abilities:
[break][break] The wearer of Xià Rì Zhī Liàn gains access to the perks 'Full Blitz' and 'Self Repairing'
Touching the twin chains of the pin starting at the pearl before moving to the pearl flowers saying "Shèngkāi" creates what seems like blue jade flower petals to fall from the sky which surround the wearer. These petals are no bigger than apple blossom petals and remain within six inches of the wearer on all sides almost like a bubble. The petals can take up to intermediate damage before being destroyed, however, if the gem petal bubble isn't destroyed it will repair itself the following round. With the use of the ammo rules, the wearer can say the name of allies to have them gain the same benefits from this ability.[break]
Raising their dominant hand to the sky they circle their wrist gracefully as they lower their hand almost as if a falling flower petal, the circle motion must happen four times for the ability to activate. At the base of the wearer's feet, is a seal made from topaz, looking closer makes it almost seem as if it is designed after bamboo. This seal has two effects, the first being a marking which looks like a topaz bamboo shoot that appears at the back of the wearer's hand increasing their physical strength to junior rank damage while also giving their physical attacks a magical backing. The second is that if an attack gets close a thick bamboo-like forest made from topaz sprouts around the wearer. This forest is only around twelve inches away from the user and requires intermediate damage before it is destroyed, however, if the forest isn't destroyed then it will repair itself the very following round.

This ability is passive due to this the word count to raise it will be added to the relics word count as it will increase at the exact same time. For now, this ability seems inactive due to no real connection made with the relic, however, as the relic gets stronger the wearer will find that their speed will increase by one rank lower as per the passive buff rules.
[attr="class","silasreescroll"] Leonard lit up a little bit as Sumire made her presence known. Naturally, she would ask about the condition of his clothes. That would be an easy answer for him, he was prepared this time! "Oh not at all Lady Sumire! The outfit you have made me is beyond perfect. It fits me like a glove, stretches under strain and doesn't really tear or rip even when fighting. Naturally, I make sure I take good care of it. I don't like it getting dirty after knowing how much effort went into it." Not only that, but he was very scared of actually angering the woman should he show up in tatters like the last time he was around. That was not a pleasant experience. Sure, he could more probably have been much more careful, but sometimes you just gotta push yourself. But yeah maybe he really did overdo it. Perhaps Sumire was also worried about him getting hurt too. [break][break] "I thought you needed me for something. I did receive an invitation for here." He would soon add, seeing as she didn't actually be the one who had summoned him. Or perhaps she didn't remember. He was sure this was the date and time that the note said too. He knew she was super busy in her atelier, he didn't want to interrupt her tailoring. Or just drop in when she was seeing another customer. That would probably be super rude. He then suddenly began rumaging in his bag. for something [break][break] "This one, actually." He stated, offering the parchment over. It seemed rather plain, just a written note. Though, Leonard had never really seen her write, so he couldn't really tell if this was her actual handwriting or not. For him it did look refined and regal enough to be genuine, but now that he was actually in her workshop he was starting to second guess himself, given her reaction to his appereance. "I got this letter by my window a couple days ago. It said I was needed here for some kind of modeling work, something about a secret project or new outfit in the making. Though, from your question I suppose this isn't actually true... otherwise you would have known which raises a problem. Who would want to send me here at this time and place?"
Sumire continued to dig through boxes ensuring all she needed to be moved would be moved in one go. She asked Leonard on the condition of his clothing as she was sure she knew the answer. He was cautious of ruining the clothing she made as she wasn't sure if it was because he liked the style or was more afraid of her. [break][break] She smiled into the box she was digging in listening to his explanation as she lifted her head looking behind her at him. " If you must get them dirty or torn then so be it. I would rather make you new clothing if your current ones were ruined in battle on protecting this land." She spoke "though I am happy to see it is holding up well for you." She said with a smile. [break][break] She then heard him speak of it being her the summoned him as she looked up in thought before returning to her digging in another box "Oh I remember why." She spoke finding what she was looking for as she turned accepting the parchment reading it. " Well I did send shi out to give it to you in my place as I had a sudden order delivery in the area." She said with a smile turning back to the box picking it up before holding it out to him. " Here. I was thinking of your....Attire. While I know this outfit is your favorite and you have a spare set and while I had some extra fabric and your measurements. I thought of making you some more...Fitting attire for balls or social gathering as I know nobles tend to arrive and had a need to keep up appearances." She spoke " Its a suit made of the normal noble fashion. buttons down the front some tassels and ropes on the shoulders to show the noble attire. some nicely seam pants that are loose but fit enough for you to move around in if you must fight. It holds the same enchantments as your current outfit." She spoke unsure of what he will think. [break][break] In truth she had no use for the extra fabric and couldn't think of what more to do with it so she might as well make something she knew he could use. " Though if you don't want it, you can give it to another that is about your size. "She added [break][break]
