Backstory: [break]A strong storm displaced the golden dunes of sand in the Parun desert revealing a deep and dry rocky canyon. Mages and archeologist scowered the new area, thirsty for adventure and knowledge, but nobody seems to have returned yet. Or so it is said. Despite the lack of sightings of these adventurers (now assumed dead) rumors spread around the inhabitants of the area, of an ancient temple made of pure gold, with doorframes of obsidian and walls adorned with gems as large as a human head.
[break][break]
The commoners around the area quickly gave up on the idea, calling it but a mirage of those crazy enough to venture into the cursed canyon. Some nobles, aristocrats and suspicious figures within the area have tried to pay off any strong mage they could find in order to take them along on this adventure.

Requirements for Intro:
[break]As your party arrives one by one in the small oasis town of Vebula, please take this intro post (no need for more than 500 words each) to explain how your character has reached the desert and has been hired by the specific NPC (image and description below) for the adventure.
And old scholar and archeologist called Eto. He doesn’t seem to have any family left and he knows he doesn’t have much left to live for, so he’s willing to spend his life’s savings on this one last adventure. In his opinion it’s better to die on an adventure then die alone in your house due to old age, without knowing how many years later your skeleton will be found. He has a very noble attitude if he is picked, however if the adventurers rush through the rooms TOO FAST, the man will end up having trouble breathing and MAY DIE (roll of a d20), resulting in a problematic and encounter in the dungeon with increased difficulty later on. (May result in a fail of the dungeon)[break]
[attr="class","ardereescroll"]Ardere has been on a journey for some time now. Spending the last few weeks trying to regain his strength after Silas' death, he found himself searching for power he once had. While his friends and loved ones had helped, there was still something missing. He was unsure whether or not this missing piece of him could be found or replaced, but he had to try. He had to journey out into the unknown in search of himself. Things had gotten better over the past few weeks, and so many had helped him. The Crimson Lions was his family, and he owed it to them to be the man he was meant to be. Lysander had seen something in him long ago. It was time to find that. Would he find the power he was looking for in this desert? [break][break] Walking across the golden sands, he could almost feel the warmth through his shoes. The Captain of the Crimson Lions arrived in a small Oasis town called Vebula. It was a fairly nice town for being in the desert. He had heard the rumors, and made his way into the desert in search of adventure. In this town he found an old man named Eto. This old man did not have much left to live for, but he was searching for something very similar to what Ardere wanted; Adventure. The Crimson King had plenty to live for, yet he still felt this man's loss. He did not know much about the old man, but he seemed like a decent fellow. Out here in the Fringe, it was a lawless wasteland in most places. The desert consumed everything. Mirages run rampant. It seemed like the perfect place to find himself. [break][break] The fire mage sat and talked with the old man for some time, observing the town. He had never been this far into the Fringe. It was hard to believe that such places could exist where most thought was just wasteland and desert. Many had given up on this, but Ardere would not. He was an Archmage. There was still strength inside of him whether or not he felt lost. He was going to prove to himself that he could do this, but he did not have to do it alone. He had invited two friends to come along with him to the desert. He just hoped they showed up. No. They would. He had friends who loved and cared about him. That's why they were invited in the first place. He was just curious as to what this adventure would hold, but for the first time in so long he was...excited.
[attr="class","zavenreescroll"] Since the Shattering life never stopped for the Shadow of Dawn; The captain of the Golden Dawn was running across the desert sands, a place devoid of shadows until the night came...why was he running you may ask? Well it seemed as though Zaven had fallen victim to having slept with an influential noble of the nearby town of Vebula. The young woman he found in his bed that morning was apparently a runaway bride from an arranged marriage the night before and found that the master of the Blake house was quite charming and apparently a smooth talker with good looks. So in the morning when she was found, Zaven had enough time to leave with his mantle and some clothes (however finding he had her crop top and his own pants and boots) along with his Grimoire. Needless to say, Zaven found that his time spent here training in the fringe so far had not been all that bad...except for the aggressive men. [break][break]
What he was doing in Vebula...he had heard that there was an ancient training ground hidden inside the desert with a warrior tribe of humans guarding some sort of treasure. He wanted to learn from these warriors and also get the treasure if he could...the Grand Archives had begun to replace the books about him with ones of that woman that he helped not too long ago with the Black Bull kid. Not that he was some sort of grand treasure hunter...but he was a researcher and that came with a lot of additional movement for him. [break][break]
Back to the trouble; After being chased for five straight hours the weirdly dressed Zaven Blake finally stopped and let them men catch him. He was taken in to the nobleman for questioning, a little bit of torture, but they found it difficult to even disrupt the Archmage’s manaskin. The man asked about the previous night's encounter and the girl was there with her father looking at Zaven, a blush and an odd smile. Zaven was tempted to make a quick quip but instead he smiled and with a shake of his body the ropes fell off of him and onto the floor. His mana was now replenished, albiet leaving him a bit wet due to the “light” torture they gave him. He stood up and looked at the nobleman. “Alright, the playtime is over, Mr. Ali...your daughter was great company last night...She will keep any man she marries happy, but please be more lenient with her, she is young and wishes to do more with singing...she has a beautiful voice after all. I suggest we call it good for now...I have to go and meet a guide outside an old library near the center of your town. If you wish to pursue this matter further you may...but The Golden Dawn will be behind me on this. Or you can find the Blake Estate and reach out...I am sure that one of my cousins would be more than happy to take your daughter in and compensate you if you feel cheated...I think my cousin’s name is...Naxel...yes just get a message to the young lad and he will take care of the details.” Zaven would then walk past the very worried nobleman and to his daughter whom he saw was wearing his shirt. Reminded he was still wearing hers he chuckled for a moment. ”Keep it, I like the breathing room this gives me. Take care miss Ali.” Zaven would say before bringing her hand up and kissing it and excusing himself from the manor and out into the streets. [break][break]
Back out into the streets Zaven quickly made his way to the library when he saw a familiar face...Ardere, the Captain of the Crimson Lions already there and keeping the man company, so Zaven popped beside the captain and the old man and intruded a little. ”Sorry to intrude gents, please continue...I am here to inquire a bit once your business is finished. Good to see you Ardere...been a minute.” Zaven felt a bit awkward because Ardere was his friend but never once contacted him during the three months since Silas died at the Shattering. The oild man named Eto retold the stories albiet a little harsher to Zaven as he just listened quietly...unsure of how to proceed. However, the possibility of fufilling a wish of someone wiser than he was a great honor and the possibility of recovering relics from a time before led him to believe that this might be tied to the rumors he had heard. He looked at the Crimson King… “Ardere my friend...how about we team up to help this man, and in turn he helps us?” Zaven asked as he smiled at the man that sat beside him.

Why. [break][break] That was the question, wasn’t it? At least he was out of the base, at least he didn’t have to deal with looking at a surrounding that was supposed to be familiar to him when it wasn’t. At least he didn’t have to be constantly at odds with people who wanted him to act a certain way. [break][break] So then, why was he out there in the middle of some godforsaken desert with the Captain of the Crimson Lion. [break][break] Some call to adventure, apparently. [break][break] Forrest narrowed golden eyes, looking out across the region itself, where dunes seemed to stretch for miles. He kept a close watch on the Captain, who had somehow now gotten in a conversation with an older man. Forrest said little in regards to it, he kept his presence and his talking at a minimum. It was better for him to follow, than to lead. Ardere had invited him for what greater purpose? It wasn’t like he wasn’t a capable mage, an archmage nonetheless. It wasn’t like he couldn’t have asked some fellow Crimson Lion who had bounds more actual experience and recollection of battle. So why? Why was he there other than to be some kind of accessory to the Crimson Captain’s ego? [break][break] He sighed to himself, realizing that his wandering thoughts were a bit harsher than he intended. He pulled out at his shirt collar, feeling the heat of the day bare down on his exposed skin. [break][break] They were approached by a mage with great power, even with as little sensory ability as Forrest had, he had to lift his head at the approaching Knight. Again, he did little to address Zaven Blake, Captain of the Golden Dawn, but a slight bow of his head and a cautionary “Sir.” was given. [break][break] Forrest knew well enough, Ardere had friends, much stronger than the amnesiac himself. [break][break] Why… indeed. [break][break] Their adventure was to begin. A favor for a favor. [break][break] Forrest would have agreed as long as Ardere did the same, not that he had a choice anyway.

Story Progress: [break]After assembling themselves together, your party is accepted by Eto with a little smile (even at the black-haired male whose sudden appearance made him chuckle). He bowed deeply and thanked the Magic Knights for indulging him in one last journey before his demise of old age got to him. The task he had given them wasn’t an easy and but these ones had all been kind enough to take his request for help. Perhaps there really was hope in the younger generation after all.
[break][break]
Eto would stagger slowly as he lead the party of wizards out of the city, into the desert. There was a silent confidence to him; He was definitely familiar with his surroundings and he glanced back at you all as you stood at the edge of the now sprawling sandy dunes of the Parun desert. Once he was sure you were all ready to enter, the old man would navigate the wizards into the scorching hot sands, towards the mysterious temple.
[break][break]
Requirements for this part:
[break]The temperatures of the desert are scorching!Elements such as water (which will quickly vaporize), ice, snow (which will melt) and even some of the softer metals will have decreased spell durability throughout this section (which doesn’t need to take more than 1500 words between players). Basically, describe entering the desert and how you are dealing with the insane 105 degrees Fahrenheit (40 Celsius). Feel free to interact with Eto or your fellow players as much as you like while you travel.
[attr="class","ardereescroll"]Ardere returned the bow. With a Land of the Rising Sun heritage, this custom possessed extra importance to him. Thanks to you, Eto, for allowing us to accompany you. For the first time in a while, a truly bright smile appeared on him. Unfortunately he wondered how long it would last before he started thinking of Silas. No. He could always think of Silas, but that did not mean he had to be sad. There had been good times too, and today he had a good friend with him. Thanks, Zave. It's about time you showed up. And Forrest. He honestly didn't expect the young Lion to show. The man had been through enough, but he did show and that was important. Perhaps he could find some memories lost in the scorching sand, or at least some inner strength. [break][break] Alright. Let's get going. Thanks for coming Forrest. It means a lot. He nodded to the blonde mage before following behind Eto. Ardere had brought some water and snacks in his side pack, hopefully enough to last him the duration of the trip. But the sand, they were of a scorching heat even he the Crimson King had to admit was intense. So this is the scorching desert I heard about. It's.....well it's actually exactly what I imagined. Quite a lot of fucking sand....but perhaps there is more to it. Taking a deep breath, he realized how arid it was. Even as he inhaled, he could feel the heat on his tongue. Honestly the Captain was unsure how the older man would hold up in these conditions. Perhaps he was an even more experienced adventurer. That was fairly likely. You holding up over there, Zave? He said laughing as he went to pull out a canteen of water, which was hot to the touch. Prompting him immediately to drop it back into his pouch. This was not good. [break][break] Despite the deplorable weather conditions, the Lion found himself excited for the first time in a long time. While the immense sadness was bearing down on it, time with his friends and this ungodly hot sun seemed to cleanse that a bit. The sadness would never truly go away, but it was moments like these he could just enjoy life. If he had more of this, maybe he could return to his old self, or become someone better. So Mr Eto, how many times you reckon you've been out into these sands? The man was older and experienced. Now was the perfect time to learn from such experience, if he could.
[attr="class","zavenreescroll"] When Eto smiled at him, and even allowed him to accompany Ardere and the man he called Forest...a familiar name...It couldn’t possibly be...no...it CAN’T be the same guy. Zaven quickly got with the program as he looked at the party and decided that it was best he just keep with what he currently had on, it was better than getting something heavy...the Oasis was cool, but once back out in the sand he would most likely fry if he wore warm clothing. Seeing as the rest of the group was pretty much ready, Zaven made a quick stop for a waterskin, tunic and bandana, a satchel with some minor provisions. He no longer looked like a male prostitute and instead looked like a veteran of the sands. [break][break]
“Thanks, for letting me in on this Ardere...been a while.” He quipped as the Crimson King commented on the fact that he was happy that Zaven had joined them. It did not take long for the group to head out, and Zaven did not talk much to Forest as he was sure it was the same man that used to be with Vanilla...but he had no way of confirming his suspicions...yet. Once they were out in the sands it quickly became unbearable for the group as Eto guided the party, they all huddled close while walking through the rolling dunes. Ardere asked if Zaven and Forest were ok and with a simple nod and whistle from the Shadow Mage’s dry lips he cackled out in a small laughter. “Holy shit I should have met you all earlier...when I was being chased through the dunes earlier it was not this hot yet. This is a nightmare Ardere...and from what we experienced...that is saying a lot.” He said as he walked closer to the group, the shadows of the party waived as their body heat and the baking sun bared down on them like molten slag being poured onto pieces of wood. “Eto...how is it that you can do this without feeling the pain like us...are you just used to this, or is there a certain way to use the mana skin to disperse the heat better?” Zaven added in his question to Ardere’s as they continued their journey. He knew he could summon a golem right now Talos would probably be their best bet to get some shade, but without knowing what kind of opposition that they may face...it would be risky. [break][break]
”Eto...would it be easier for you to be carried by a golem...your feet must be tired…” Zaven asked, knowing that he would most likely get turned down but at least they could move faster through this hellish landscape. After a few more minutes though he whistled out to Ardere. If he responded he would toss him the water skin that was at least just warm...not blazing hot. ”If there is anything left, cool off and ask Eto if he needs a drink.” He would yell out as they came to the crest of the sand dune they were climbing, looking outwards over the vast area.

Exchanges were made. Greetings delivered, and their adventure was to be underway. Ardere had decided that it was best for them to help this old man cross the desert. The call to adventure didn’t fade in age, it seemed. Though Forrest had to quietly wonder if the aging man wasn’t just going senile. Forrest gave a bow of respect in turn but said little else in addressing him. [break][break] Thanks for coming Forrest. It means a lot. [break][break] Forrest paused at such simple words, eyeing the Crimson Captain for just a moment more. What more could a favor possibly mean than just that, a favor? Wasn’t Forrest out here as much for his own ego as the Captain’s? At least, he wanted to believe that, but the aspect of going out in the scorching heat wasn’t as agreeable as most would have already thought. [break][break] “Yessir.” Forrest said, his words more distant than he intended for them to sound. Or maybe, that was it. He did want to distance himself. He didn’t know how close he was supposed to be, how close he could be. [break][break] The accompaniment of the Golden Dawn Captain was curious enough. Forrest was somewhat aware of the man’s origins as a Shadowed Blake of the said aforementioned noble House. He supposed he should have been grateful to have another powerful ally at their disposal, should anything on this escort duty go somewhat wrong. The Blake did little to directly interact with Forrest, so the blond wood mage did the same. Forrest wore the mantle of the Crimson Lion, his loyalty should have been as plain enough as the attire. [break][break] As their journey continued, Forrest rounded the back of the group. He felt better to follow than to lead, he left that for the Captains to decide. He also left the care of the elder much to the apparent, more than willing volunteering of the Golden Dawn Captain, as both Ardere and Zaven himself seemed intent on ensuring that Eto himself has having a… comfortable journey in these dunes. [break][break] How could anyone find this scorching hell enjoyable, Forrest had to wonder. [break][break] Senile, indeed. [break][break] He kept his thoughts to himself. At least, he didn’t have to worry about it. He put the hood on of his mantle, attempting to shade himself from the harshest of the sun’s rays. Sweat powered from his temple, and he breathed heavily with most steps. Where their journey would take them, only this old man knew, and really, something in Forrest was telling him to doubt that it was anywhere pleasant.

Story Progress: [break]Eto would walk ahead of the party with a surprising energy at first as he was guiding them, but as the group continued to progress through the seemingly infinite mirage of sandy dunes, the old man would slow down and start walking along with the party. The journey was already draining him. [break][break] “Yes, I used to explore this desert a lot when I was younger. Usually with a few of my friends from the village…they uh…passed on some time ago.” Eto would answer the large blue-eyed man Magic Knight, not pausing for a moment in his walking. He was getting tired. Perhaps he really was too old for an adventure? “Oh I’m still feeling the pain, speedy one, but I think my pain is from the years…I used to have no problem roaming around when I was your age…” He said to Zaven with a little dry laugh, which turned into a little cough that he paused to stifle. “Excuse me.”[break][break] When the male offered him a golem, Eto was indeed, struggling a little. He didn’t want to be too much of a burden on the adventurers that had given his last wish a shot. “Y-yes…one of those would be nice…” he would barely manage to choke out.[break][break] Little did the adventurers know that their pace of travelling had made them a target for some of the dangerous predators that roamed this sandy land. Large thick-scaled beasts known as Land Sharks had sensed the tremors in the sand that the party’s walking had made them their pray.
[break][break]
[break][break]
Combat:
[break] Congratulations! You have reached the first round of Combat and are about to maybe get eaten by Land Sharks! These things are coming at you guys from behind and move under the sand, causing a sound like a large sprinkler when they close to the surface. They come at you guys in waves, first three of them, then four, then two more at the end. As they get within 15 meters of you, they will jump towards you guys with OPEN JAWS from behind and attempt to bite you. You are allowed to RP out hearing them if you aren’t too fucked up by the sun or have particularly high sensory (Zaven, basically, since you Lions both have 0). These things move at 40 ft. per second and are armored like huge tanks on their heads and backs! They resist offensive magic if they are hit anywhere that isn’t on their stomach. They have Grand rank health and a landed bite deals senior rank damage. [break][break]
For Zaven: [break]As the lad with the highest sensory, I’m gonna let you be able to notice a sudden darkness in the sky immediately almost right from you. There’s a sandstorm coming your way, and it will impair everyone’s vision significantly, potentially causing spells to miss. You know you all have one round of Combat posts before it hits. [break][break]
Round 1: [break]The first three of the Land Sharks will leap at each of the Magic Knights (one each), the second wave of two will have one leap at Ardere, as the largest target, and another at Eto, who seems the easiest target to them. I will let you guys deal with this before we continue onto the last wave. This part doesn’t need more than 700 words each. [break][break]
[attr="class","ardereescroll"]Eto was an interesting old man. It seemed that he had led quite the life of adventure, and even in old age he still possessed the will of a titan. Ardere respected it. He wished that one day when he was that old, that he could be just like that. Unfortunately his other two companions were not fairing so well with the heat. Hold in there Zave. We got this. The Golden Dawn Captain offered to carry Eto on his golem even so, which was probably the smart choice. After hearing the old man cough, he knew even with all that will that he was on his last legs. So today's mission had changed. He wanted to give the elder an adventure to remember. One that would rumble the Heavens so that all would cheer at his arrival. And that he would accomplish. But something was stirring. The fire mage felt a slight rumble in the ground, prompting him to take a deep breath and focus his Ki for a moment. [break][break] Something is coming from under the ground! He could sense it now, very large figures burrowing through the ground and barreling right toward them. He did not know what they were, but they were quite large. And if they could attack from under the sand, they were in some trouble. Zaven, use your golem to defend Eto! Forrest provide any support you can and stay mobile! A red aura began to shimmer across his body as he powered up, flickers of white flame in between. There seemed to be five on their way, three moving in separate directions with two not so far behind. He had to be ready as the ki coming from them was quite strong. What he did not notice, was the darkness in the background. Ardere was far too focused on the enemies ahead. And they would emerge ferociously. (Berserker's Rage activates) He had to deactivate his heightened Ki tracking to keep his own speed, but by now he could feel the rumbling in the ground and his natural sensing was more than enough to know they were gonna burst right forth at him now. But he was ready. [break][break] Bursting forth from the ground was a massive beast, some sort of underground dweller that could consume large prey. Instinctively, Ardere activated a spell he used to often that it was called his signature spell. Siegfried's Arsenal! Summoning two swords on the one he was fighting, he shot them right into the mouth of the beast and commanded them to twirl and slash apart its insides before bursting out of its stomach. At the same time, he summoned forth two more swords and fired them off at the beast attacking Forrest. This would be enough damage to pierce their sides and instantly fell them. Fortunately with both his unnaturally high strength and speed, the Captain managed to leap back several meters away from the beast. (Natural speed of 20 m/s) At this point, he ordered all 4 of his swords to return to himself. These swords, assuming his enemies were felled would float around him slowly, orbiting his body. You okay friends?! He called out as another beast leaped forward at him. Pulling all four of his swords in front of him like a shield wall, he blocked the beast, but it was strong. Die you son of a bitch! Keeping two of the swords in front of him to block any oncoming attacks, he send the other two to twirl around the beast, slashing from its sides and stomachs across its back. This should be enough to cut it to pieces, but now anger and adrenaline was surging through his veins. This was a Lion in combat now.
Name of Spell: Siegfried's Arsenal[break] Elemental Type: Fire[break] Rank & Spell Type: Grand | Attack Creation[break] Range & Speed: 80 m area| 75 m/s[break] Mana Cost: 40 (20)[break] Stats Effected: +22 Power[break] Applicable Perks: Mana Conservationist, Battle Knight, Signature Spell.[break] Description: This is Ardere's most often used spell, and one he learned from his father (It being a mirror of his father's signature spell). It has gotten stronger as he has, and this is the final version of this spell. He creates a massive sword out of flame. Being 2 meters in length it is long enough to match his own height but not too large to be awkward when wielding. The user can grab this sword, but they can also manipulate it in an 80 meter area, being 40 m radially around them-self. They can manipulate it to stab or slash or twirl, anything the user can think of. For every 50 control the user has, they can make an extra sword. These swords are powerful enough to cleave through stone and metal like it was butter, and limbs are just the same. These spells do have the ability to kill.

Zaven noticed the air feeling like it was full of mana...dust...and danger. He climbed to the top of the dune to see what was going on as it was revealed to him that a sand storm was barreling it’s way towards them before he felt the tremors of what was underground. He looked to Eto and the others before he took in a sharp breath. It was a split second decision for him, but he had to do it to protect the person they needed the most. Without questioning he brought about an immense amount of shadow mana before summoning Talos the two story tall heavy shadow golem. Zaven pointed at the old guide,Eto and commanded the golem to pick up the old man as the first wave made its move. Ardere called out and used some magic as he set some general orders for the group. Zaven was heading down from the dune as he felt the tremor before him.
”fuck…”. He said as he knew that it was a matter of time before the thing came shooting up from the ground at him. He got into a fighting stance just before the land shark attacked.
The golem would pick up Eto raise him up into the air as it would hold the old man close to its chest. It was out of sight, but if he was targeted the golem would react per its master’s command.
Zaven hopefully had enough time to roll out of the way of the incoming attack, and if so he would hold out his right hand and called out “Erebus Bow!” The shadow bow would materialize in his hand before he would notch a shadow arrow and immediately shoot it at his attacker. If he was lucky we would strike true and kill the beast so he could take a small breather. Of course if his first attack hit and the second wave still targeted Eto the. Zaven would launch yet another attack to defend the man. He pulled his shawl over his face and prepared for the shit storm that was the sandstorm barreling after them.
[attr="class","forresttext"] Forrest supposed it was alright to listen to the old man, who spoke of past times and old memories. The young man wanted to be less, critical of how he viewed the elder, memories were good things… [break][break] ..if you had them. [break][break] That was the cynic in him, thinking too many overbearing thoughts. Again, he said little, keeping silent. Perhaps being nothing more but a fourth random body in the party, following along like a ghost. He wiped the sweat from his brow again, sighing at just how hot it was. It was the desert, he didn’t have the right to complain since he agreed to come anyway. [break][break] At least, then something happened. Forrest supposed they were just waiting around till finally, the beasts of their adventure would make their appearance. [break][break] Landsharks. Such an un-inventive name. [break][break] His captain had shouted out orders, but he already had a shark after himself. “Wood Magic: Arbor Praesidium!”He shouted, at least, amnesia hadn’t wiped his grimoire of its spells as well. Bark grew over his forearms, the dunes quaking underneath his feet as a shark came crashing at him. He held his forearms in front of him, forming a large wooden shield to defend against the crazed beast. His grimoire still floated freely as a crazed amount of spells were being thrown from the two captains’ at the ready. [break][break] He glanced back at the others, struggling to hold the sand-quatic creature, just as a sword from the Crimson Captain came firing at the thing. Shaken, but not deterred, Forrest called out another spell. [break][break] “Arbor Arma Medeor.” Hs three allies each would glow with a golden aura, a single tree would begin to sprout from their backs, providing an invigorating feel of recovery magic and rejuvenation, along with an enchantment of magical empowerment. Furthermore, Arma Medeor served as an extra layer of defense, for each of the Captains and Eto himself. [break][break] Whether his shield was broken but manageable than it naturally would have started repairing itself. In the meantime, Forrest prepared to keep his defenses…
Forrest uses Arbor Praesidium to block shark. Assuming that Ardere kills it with his swords.
Forrest casts Arbor Arma Medeor on Zaven/Ardere/Eto to give them each +15 mana, +6 Power boost (Archangel’s Blessing), +Senior Rank Defensive Armor, +Senior Rank Healing
Unknown if Praesidium fully breaks or stays active, if latter Self Repairing kicks in and is maintained. If not, then prepares to cast another spell.
Description: Forrest causes his skin of mostly his forearms to be covered in a layer light subtly glowing tree bark. When he raises his forearms together, the tree-like limbs fuse together to expand and form a bigger, size great-shield roughly 1 meter in height and 75 cm in width. With the PR aspect of this spell, Forrest is able to withstand 1 [Senior] Rank’s worth of damage with this spell and protect allies standing directly behind him. The spell additionally boosts his natural [Durability].
Due to the [Self Repairing] perk, if the shield has taken damage but is still standing at the end of the post it is cast, it will naturally repair itself up to 3 times per a cast of this spell.

Additionally, the tree bark ‘armor’ will act like a magical defensive armor for the target, protecting them like a [Senior] Defense spell as long as they remain in Forrest’s range and Forrest sustains the spell.

For Everyone: If you are using spells please copy paste them so I don’t have to click through everyone’s grimoires to make sure they do what you say they do. [break][break] For Ardere: Due to your Ki you were indeed capable of sensing the enemies before they attacked. Through your Siegfried’s Arsenal you took out the first two out of three Land Sharks, the one attacking you and the one attacking Forrest. Then you felled the one from wave two that was attacking you by blocked, noticing that having your blades hit it from the back dealt significantly less damage than when striking from the front. [break][break] For Zaven: Eto would gratefully stay in Talos, assuming that he would indeed be safer in the hand of the giant golem than on the ground. Your Erebus Strike managed to strike true and kill the beast attacking you but the one attacking Eto got scared by the sudden appearance of the large shadow golem so it dove back into the ground before heading for you. [break][break] For Forrest: You managed to create your shield just in time to block the monster’s jaws as they bit into the wood spell. They wouldn’t be able to break it and as you held on Ardere’s fiery swords would stab into the side of the monster and kill it. Your Arbor Arma Medeor spell seemed to significantly improve Eto’s breathing as he seemed to recover from the heat and the stress of the situation. Your defenses and healing are holding true! [break][break] Round 2: As you all take out the enemies from wave one and begin handling wave two, the wind blows in a nasty sand storm which makes it impossible for you to see or hear one another (or sense without high sensory or Ki.) You can still sense the trembling of the ground underneath you, however as wave three nears. There is still three land sharks left from wave two (two of which haven’t attacked yet). The one that was going for Eto from wave 2 got frightened at the sudden appearance and size of Zaven’s golem and will divert its attack to Zaven himself. The last two Land Sharks from wave two will head for Ardere and Forrest, while wave three’s two monsters will split up and try to gobble up Zaven and Forrest. This part doesn’t need more than 700 words each. [break][break]
[attr="class","ardereescroll"]Aha! Ardere had managed to fell two of the large sand beasts, but it had take some effort. They appeared to have significant armor all along their backs and sides. This meant their underbelly was weakest. But the sandstorm. The dreaded sandstorm was taking over everything. He had failed to notice it before. He only had one choice; to go into full tracking mode with his Ki. This would slow him down by a couple of meters per second, but as long as his Arsenal kept orbiting around him then he could utilize it. Closing his eyes to block them from the sand, he could sense everything within a one hundred meter radius around him. This meant even deep into the ground. Feeling the energy around him, he could pick out his comrades individual ki as well as the beasts. He was now their best chance at this. [break][break] Taking a deep breath, Ardere sent to of his swords to hover above Forrest, ready to fire down when needed. He kept two by his side as his muscles began to pulse and fill with fire magic. Mjolnir. A thing red flame began to shimmer across his body as his strength was vastly increased. This combined with his natural strength and rage would provide quite the powerful hit. But this was not just to hit one of the beasts directly. He waited until the beast was burrowing towards him. Once it got within 15 meters, he would smack his fist down into the sand a few times. This flurry of punches (3 cause of Brute) was enough to send a shock wave through the sand in an attempt to stun the beast. Leaping up into the air, he would have created quite the crater. The shock wave likely would not have dealt enough damage to kill the sand monster, so as he leaped up into the air with his intense strength he would fire the two swords down towards it. He then commanded the other two swords to fire down at one of the beasts coming after Forrest. [break][break] Dammit. Forrest! He tried to call out to warn him of the other beast, but the sand storm was just too intense. He had to hope Zaven could help him out with the last beast, but he could not rely on that. The shadow mage had his own problems. Ardere would try to send his swords out to attack that one as well. He could sense everything. Where all of the beasts were coming from. So in an attempt to get the second one attacking Forrest, he commanded all of his swords to meet up right by him and spin like a drill, going right down into the sand where the beast was going to come up from and shoot right through it. His swords were powerful, but this sandstorm was not making things easy. Fortunately the Golden Dawn Captain had impressive Sensory and the Lion was a Ki Master. He could easily sense through the sandstorm, but with so many beasts circling he had to multi task. This is part of why the Arsenal was his beast spell; he could control each sword and maneuver them. He just hoped it was enough to stop the beasts. They were massive, but they were slow. He and his spells were faster than them. Their journey was not going to end this early on!

[attr="class","zavenreescroll"] Seeing his arrow strike true and felled the monster was an absolute feeling of calm as the sand blasted him soon after. He could not see anything at all in the sandstorm so as he continued to have his mask up, he got ready for another attack, feeling something under him coming from the Direction of Eto, the mana of both Forrest and Ardere was still active so it gave the Shadows of Dawn some hope as he felt Ardere doing the best he could, the mana signatures of many beasts around them. Zaven wasted no time in keeping his bow spell active as he would wait for the beasts to pop up from their sandy homes before delivering upon them a shadowy death. He would shoot his arrows as fast as his body would allow at the first sign of the creature's deadly, gaping maws coming up from the earth. Minding to shoot the one near Forrest as well Zaven felt no fear while doing this. He was calm, the sand swirling around him made him feel at home in an odd way because all he heard was wind and the stench of natural earth. He saw a vision of those back at the Golden Dawn headquarters...he knew then that he would not die in the sand...not even these horrible creatures could fuck that up in his head. [break][break]
Zaven let loose a primal roar during his fight, his mana was draining and he knew that this should not be that hard, but to survive out in this shit storm...he had to do what needed to be done. If he was not quick enough he would of course risk being dragged into the sands, but if Zaven was anything...it was tenacious. He just hoped that his arrows hit their marks.
