With the introductions out of the way it was time for everyone participating to be split into groups and to be given their assignments. Pyr was still stretching while observing the others but his concentration was interrupted, "Examines Ophelia Silva, Pyrrhos Akoúo̱ and Azure Minx please meet over here to accept your mission." Pyr looked in the direction the voice came from and saw the people that were in charge of the registration spread out awaiting for their mission candidates. "Well would you look at that. They don't waste anytime putting these things together do they?" He spoke rhetorically as he approached the proctor that called his name as well as the other two that he would be teaming up with. "Pyr reporting in for the mission." he would say in a slightly upbeat tone with a smirk on his face. "I'm ready to crush this mission." The proctor would pay no mind to Pyr as he started to brief them the moment that the group had fully assembled, "Alright, now that everyone is here we will go over your mission." He would hand each of them a piece of parchment with the information written for them. "In Kikka several shops have been looted by bandits. These bandits escaped into the forest bordering Kikka. Your tasks are to locate the bandit's base of operations, Arrest them and secure the stolen goods. Good luck."
Taking the piece of paper he would turn his attention to the two cute females that he would be teaming up. The one with purple white hair, the other had green hair and bother were much shorter than him. "Nice to meet you ladies, im Pyr" he would politely introduce himself and wait for them to both return the gesture before he would speak again. "So I'm not sure about you guys but I was thinking that it would be a good idea to head to Kikka and do some information gathering. Maybe we could find some eyewitnesses that could shed some insight for us before we start beating the trees trying to find this base." There was a fair chance that this would produce no relevant information but if they catch a good scent they could narrow their search area. "But I also don't know what you two can do So i am up for suggestions."

Azure was sitting waiting to be called over for the mission so she was more than ready to move on over and group up with her supposed team. Furthermore she listened to the man explanation on what they were supposed to do, the guy said that the goal was to go hunt down and arrest some bandits and bring back some stolen goods to the town, not too difficult sounding but that could just be a fluke as this was a mission SHE needed to be on afterall, so if it was anything less that good it would be a cakewalk for someone like her.
She then regarded her teammates, one with green hair and eyes like herself, though they were more lime as opposed to her forest, then a girl with pale hair and fairer skin, Azure half figured they have the look of a noble, not that she would care much as they both seemed weaker than herself.
The boy then started to go on about how they should go about this, both introducing himself as pyr and suggesting they go to look for leads rather than just go right out into the woods to search.
Azure took over from his finishing line “Well fair meeting you lot also, Im Azure Minx, but that does not matter much. As for what we should do looking for clues on where the bandit hideout might be is a fair idea, we can also use the time while doing it to discuss our capabilities, right now I seem more focused on attacks but I do have some golems to supplement a bit.” she continued as she moved to start talking lead hoping to walk and talk as to make better use of time.“So what can you two do, and I hope its good because these bandits are bound to be strong, they would not have sent me with this group if it was gonna be a cake walk.” with that she would let the others get a word in.
Ophelia would watch as people started to mill about. It seems that most of everyone was finished with their own performances, if that was the right word for it. She supposed showcase would be a better term, especially since each of the participants had to try to impress the different Captains and Vice Captains of the squad. Their magic had to be put on display, and Ophelia herself had not been the most comfortable about that. However, it had been done, and Ophelia could do nothing about it anymore. She, however, hoped that her own showcase would have been enough to woo some of the Magic Squads in choosing her. A stray thought caught in her mind told her that her last name itself would be enough to get into a Magic Squad, though she hoped that it did not. Her magic was defensive in nature, and an invite from the Purple Orcas was something she would be expecting. [break][break]
She heard her name being called. It seems as though that a new phase of the Magic Knights Exams was starting. She had been informed by her friends and family that this Magic Knights Exams might be somewhat different from the classical ones, and the previous few that had happened. Previously, there had been mock dungeons involved, while groups were voluntarily made and solidified between the pool of examinees. Classically, the Magic Knights Exams were individually taken, with no team work based activities, while rounded off with a spar between two examiners, which were again voluntarily chosen. It did not surprise Ophelia that this year’s Magic Knights Exam was a little different from the rest. Unrest, political and social, was bubbling from the surface. She knew for a fact that the events within the Witches’ Forest, and the death of prominent Magic Knights of the Clover Kingdom has laid to bare the organization’s current weakness. This made the current roster of the Magic Knights lacking in numbers and strength. There was a current gap, and this Magic Knights Exam was meant to fill in that gap with new and fresh blood. She was more surprised by the fact that the Wizard King had not decided to show up for the event itself; it would have improved morale by leaps and bounds if he had. She supposed that the presence of the three most prominent Captains, Ardere Kasai, Zaven Blake, and Yuurei Krane was enough, supplemented by shining stars like Lydia Ravencrest, Vince Captain of the Crimson Lions. At the end of the day, it was all a fan fare, a two birds with one stone scenario: for both morale and bolstering of military might.[break][break]
Pulling up her hood, Ophelia made sure that her grimoire was safely tucked into her side, the satchel that her mother gave her held the tome snuggly, protecting it from the elements with its precious materials. She had almost been distracted by it during her showcase, but she managed well enough. An emotional gift came with its own burden. Her name was called now, and she wrapped the dark coloured cloak around herself, before setting out to meet her supposed team mates for this mock mission of theirs.[break][break]
The first man was an unknown to her. She could remember briefly that he had been in the crowd of examinees, and that was it. He was certainly exuberant enough, lively even. And definitely had the right idea about going into town and asking around for clues. At least his boisterous personality was somewhat tamed by his logical side. However, there was something crucial missing in his plan, and Ophelia would point that out after the other woman finished her spiel.[break][break]
Green hair. She remembered this one especially. Ophelia has known some of the Captains through her familial connections within the Upper Nobility, and she knew that no Captain would stay the hand of an examinee unless they had good reason to. While she had been hiding in the shadows, away from the crowd, she still saw the brief interaction between the Coral Peacocks Captain and the green haired woman. There must be a reason for the Coral Peacocks’ Captain to hold the woman up for touching a person’s grimoire, and she would keep a watchful eye. Though, for the most part, her mother’s gift would keep her tome safe from stray hands.[break][break]
“Ophelia Silva.” She would nod, following their small group, “and I am a defensive based magic user that supplements my combat with golems.” Ophelia explained, “so for this mission, I will most likely be doing support work myself, while my golems will be at the frontlines of battle.” That was the best tactic for her at the moment.[break][break]
“I like the plan. It’s sound, and very much what Magic Knights should be doing. However, I feel as though that we should separate to cover more ground. Get as much information around the town before meeting at the main gate in, say, two hours.” She would propose, it would be best to separate in this portion, more information was better, and moving as a group would mean less ground covered. “What do the both think?” Ophelia would ask. The plan was sound, and she hoped they would take it.

Pyr was the first to speak up to the two ladies that would be his teammates. In that moment he had shared both his name and what his ideas were towards going about their mission. Soon after he was done the girl with the darker green hair would be the next to speak so his eyes shifted to her to listen to what she had to say, all the while keeping his smile but folding his arms over his chest. She introduced herself as Azure Minx and actually agreed with the plan he had laid out while also adding in while they do so they could go over their capabilities. He listened as she further went on to say describe herself as an attacker with golems to use as well. To Pyr she seemed pleasant enough until she said this would be a tough mission saying that she wouldn't be on a team if it weren't. It was at that point that he got the sense that she was strong and how she looked at them was a way one would look at a weaker person. He didn't like it.
Right after Azure had wrapped up Pyr turned his attention to the pale haired girl who was the next one to speak. Her name was Ophelia Silva and shared that she was a defensive based magic user so aside from using her Golems to fight she wouldn't be providing any sort of offense during the fight that was assured to come. He would listen as she added to the bases of his plan. That while it was a good plan, they should break up during the information gathering and meet up after about two hours of searching to compare notes. So the both of them have golems? Good. That gives me something to work with when combat breaks out. he would think to himself as she wrapped up what she had to say and as she was done he would speak up. "Well since you two already shared I might as well. I am an offensive based magic user. You will most likely find me in the vanguard if not THE vanguard in most situations." He didn't want to give too much information regarding his magic and how he used it but that bit should be enough for them. He would lift one of his hands up to his temple while still maintaining the crossed arm position, "Ophelia was it? That's ain't a half bad idea. It would definitely help with the search and cover much more ground." His eyes would lock onto hers, his smile not wavering. "But if we are going to split up and be kicking over rocks looking for these guys that could bring us some attention if any of the bandits have scouts still in the area it could give them a heads up that we are on to them." His uncle's training never really involved investigation techniques but one thing that was covered extensively was when entering an area during a covert like operation to keep an eye out for scouts and to not arouse suspicion but if that still ended up happening to have a plan b of some sort. "So if one of us gets spotted and/or needs help we should have some sort of signal for such an event. When I use my magic I green light and lightning can be seen from any of my spells. Can't miss it." Green light and lightning was enough description they needed. He wasn't a lightning user by any means but they didn't need to know that detail. "Ophelia since it was your idea how do you want us to split up for this?
After the discussing was over he would go with them to Kikka to have an official start to the mission before them. He would hang back letting the two ladies enter the main gate a few minutes before he would to make it seem like they weren't arriving together but arriving to the same place as a coincidence. He would head to the general goods shop on the part of town he was told to search and would start there. "Mission start." WC:703 Total WC: 1093

Azure listened as the third member spoke up about themselves as a Silvia confirming Azure’s suspicions about the girl being a noble, great just what she needed right now to deal with some kind of noble girl. What a drag. Still the girl continued into explaining what she could do saying how she was most defensive with some golems to back her up as well, it was good to have a supporting cast. Ophelia then followed up by talking about the plan of getting more info and saying how it might be a good idea to split up in search of more clues and to cover more ground, splitting up was also a great way to avoid looking too suspicious when looking for clues to the bandit’s whereabouts.
This is when Pyr chose to then speak more about his own pathetic capabilities. Talking how he was a frontline sort of vanguard fighter, fodder was indeed very useful in keeping the more useful or strong people out of harm's main path. He then added to the plan speaking what Azure was thinking about them not trying to look suspicious and going on to say they should have a sort of signal if one is in danger. “Right that does sound alright, if I encounter them ill send a golem up into the air to call you guys over.” she agreed not because she figured she would need their help more because she figured they might be graded on teamwork and might get marked down for doing things alone.
With that she would head on into town spilling up from the other two in order to get some info independently like the plan suggested. She started at the marketplace where a few shope tents would set up to sell a place that the bandits had grabbed stuff from on their way through the city.
Walking into some food vendor she got to talking to the owner while buying a caramel apple asking first how business was to lead them into talking about the attack.
“It could be better if it was not for people still being a bit spooked over the low lives that come through ere, things have mostly gone back to normal but still.” The wide man running the tent spoke as a reply only for Azure to question “Low lives? Well that can't be good, do you know anything about where they had gone, I don't wanna to be alone in an area where they might pop out and grab me” she shuttered a bit giving in to some acting on her less than capable looking stature. The man then went into how he thought they ran off towards the woods outside town whilst pointing in the direction.
She nodded her tanks paying for her snack while heading down to another stall to speak more, breaking the ice as she bought some ‘Handcrafted’ jewelry asking the lady running the stall more on the events that transpired trying to get her to talk about how many she saw. In the end she got a new necklace and info that there was at least four of them, Azure figuring there way be more but at least she had a good idea on a starting number.
Azure figured she got the most out of asking around sos he moved towards the forest half looking for signs of tracks of any such clues that a group people had been recently running through here, doing so in a casual manner while she ate her candy apple, soon enough she had found something, broken branches and some signs of foot traffic, not to old or new and by the looks of it more than one person. Bingo.
Azure then moved to stand and wait more by the town as to wait for the time to meet back up, figuring the others might end up over here if they got the same trail of cluing she did. She just finished up her apple and sat looking at the sky, while also paying attention to the forest just in case she saw anything, but of course nothing so far.
Ophelia would ponder for a moment, “I would say just go around town and find as much information as you can from vendors, and those who might have been affected by these bandits.” The town of Kikka was a stronghold in and of itself. This meant that bandits were seldom seen, and those affected would be really vocal about their distaste. “After doing our individual inquiries, we should meet up at the front gate. That way we have a starting point for our search, which we should base on what we find out, cross referencing our gathered information.” That was probably the best way to tackle this mock mission. If this was the test, it means that the three of them were being graded not only in their competence for magic, but also how they plan and execute their strategy. And, in the long run, how they worked together. Ophelia was very sure from her interactions with the Magic Knights that they never ventured alone, always doing things in groups. Group work would be one of the criteria, she was sure, so she would try to play as nice as possible. In the end, she knew that it only increased their chances of not only getting into a Magic Knights Squad, but also their survival when push came to shove.[break][break]
With a nod, Ophelia went her own way. “The front gate, please don’t forget.” She would call back to her companions who were getting ready to set out as well. She knew there were few places she would likely need to visit. The first was the merchant district, where most of the common people converged. It was a busy place, full of crowded roads and alleyways, people shouting their prices, and even pickpockets who made their livelihood by the skin of their teeth. Ophelia knew this was most likely the place where they will find people who got robbed. Those who were victimized must have something to say, or at least had seen something happen. Ophelia would hold her breath on that, though she would put faith in her assumptions. Someone must have seen something, anything at all.[break][break]
“Excuse me, sir,” Ophelia would approach a downtrodden merchant, his stall seemed to be in shambles as he tried his best to get everything settled into place. From Ophelia’s point of view, the man had just been robbed, though it might have been a physical altercation instead. “I was sent by the Magic Knights to investigate bandit activity within Kikka. I was hoping you might be able to shed some light on this matter?” She gave her most polite smile, and gazed at the man with as much authority as she could muster. Technically speaking, she was not a Magic Knight just yet, though it was not a lie that she was sent here by the Magic Knights. After all, this was their mission for the Magic Knights Exams, authorized and sanctioned by the Magic Knights Squads. [break][break]
“Eh? The bandits? No, no, I don’t know anything about them, young lady.” The man would sigh, before going about his business. “This here is the work of the crowd, a large clump of them, running around drunk earlier. This Magic Knights Exam is good for business during most days, but it hurts businesses and some others. People don’t have their wits about them, doing things as though they are above the law, just because they’re pissed drunk and all, ha!” The man continued to fix his stall, “Now if you want information about those bandits, I suggest going to the store three doors down. I know that the lady there had been robbed two days ago in broad daylight! I tell you, this Magic Knights Exam needs to end soon, and fast."[break][break]
Ophelia would nod, and thank the man. She did not know that the Magic Knights Exams created such a ruckus. She supposed that a lot of the crowd were visiting common people from other towns, betting on who might be offered which squad, and whatnot. She was not blind to the vices of men and women, the cheap thrills and those that made one's heart boil with intensity. The Magic Knights Exams were just an excuse, a veil of festivities that awakened men’s inner demons.[break][break]
“Thank you.” Ophelia would finally say, before heading three doors down. The path was more quiet than the rest, since the ruckus must have been broken up recently, and the guards of the city would have cleared the area for their arrest. She was confident that soon, there will be another huge crowd blocking this causeway. For now, however, she would enjoy the unpopulated area.[break][break]
Reaching the shop, Ophelia would open it to reveal a barren room. It seems that the shop had definitely been robbed, and robbed to the extreme. A woman, middle-aged, was seen sitting solitarily behind a counter, sobbing. Ophelia had almost turned away, wanting to give the woman space for grieving. But she stood her ground. If she were to be a Magic Knight, she needed to be able to handle these types of situations, after all. [break][break]
“Excuse me, ma’am, I was directed here by your fellow shop owner. They told me about the robbery.” She would start, hopefully the news would lighten her day. “I was sent by the Magic Knights to deal with the situation, alongside my group mates.” She would explain.[break][break]
The woman looked up, her eyes glistening, before wiping a single tear. She would breath in deeply, before letting out a sigh, “Y-yes. I saw them. They had robbed my store blind in the late afternoon, and I was unable to stop them. They have accomplices, a lot of them. Th-they were strong, and ran through the alleys as though they knew the area very well, more than most residents here.” The woman would pause, hold in a sob, before continuing, “They ran towards the direction of the forest. Folks say there is a hide-out somewhere there, just far enough from the treeline, but not too far that they might get lost in the wilderness.” The woman choked a sob, “Pl-please, see if you can find some of my goods. My life depends on it.”[break][break]
Ophelia listened carefully, though she lacked the proper empathy, she knew how hard life was for a commoner. She would do her best, not just because she wanted to be a Magic Knight, but because the woman asked her to. [break][break]
“I promise, I will do my best.”[break][break]
Ophelia stepped out, and started her way towards the main gate of the town. She was ready.

Pyr's suggestion about having a way to signal one another if the plan went south only seemed to be really noticed by Azure. She confirmed that she would send a golem into the air as a means to call them. Pyr was curious to what Ophelia would do but it she didn't give an answer. Pyr figured that she was just more focused on the mission and collecting the information and meeting back at the front gate. He would give a general nod and head in the direction he decided that would be his area to investigate lacing his fingers behind his head and walking as casually as he could. He would hear Ophelia shout to the both of them to not forget that they would meet at the front gate. Without looking back at her he would raise his hand up and wave once, letting that be his way of confirmation. "You got it missy" he would say but not loud enough for anyone to really hear. Letting his strides match more up-beat attitude as he approached the first established business in his path. It was an ordinary looking building with a shingle style sign hanging right outside the front door with the words "General goods" written on it. "So a general goods store huh?" he said as he started to climb up the small set of stairs leading up to the door with a sign saying open in the window. "Good to see that despite there being reported robberies that stores are still staying open." Once he reached the door he would turn the knob to enter the building, the movement of the door opening would cause the little bell attached to it to ring alerting the store owner that he has someone in the door. Pyr had already started to look around at the merchandise that the shop owner had to sell. He was standing over a barrel of blueberries examining the fruit when the owner of the store entered from the back holding what looked liked bat. Pyr saw that the owner wasn't holding it in a threatening way, but instead it acted more as a measure of security for the man. "Hello, may I help you find something?" Pyr put the blueberry that he had picked up to inspect and turned to face the man but didn't advance towards him. While he meant the man no harm he didn't want to come off as threatening in any fashion, intentional or not. "Yes sir but not what I am looking for isn't something you have for sale." The store owner clutched his bat a bit more showing he was a bit on edge. "Hear me out before you make you do anything else. I was sent here by the Magic Knights." He put his hands back behind his head before he continued to speak his piece, "They got word of your problem and dispatched me and two others to try to take care of your pest problem. So You wouldn't happen to have any information about the bandits that have been causing trouble around the town?" Seeing the Pyr wasn't a threat to him he would put the bat down on the counter, "I'm sorry. The whole town has been on edge since they started their nonsense." Pyr gave his shoulders a shrug, "Don't sweat the small stuff. So anything you can share?" he would ask again but the man would shake his head. "They were here but I don't carry anything of real value here. They took my day's earnings and some food and left." He gave an exasperated sigh, "and I guess you didn't chase after them." he turned to leave the store, it was clear that there was nothing to be gained here. Once he opened the door he would use his free hand to wave at the owner, "Thanks for your time." but before he could be out of earshot the owner spoke up "No but just down the street there is a meatery that got hit by those hooligans. The owner is a hunter so he took one of his hounds to go after them." Pyr turned with his eyes wide, "I bet he has some information that might be of use." the old man said just before Pyr went back into the building and took the man's hand to give it a solid shake. "Now that is what I call a lead! I will be sure to comeback when it's all taken care of." and then he raced out of the shop to head down the street opposite of the way he started.
Pyr traveled roughly a quarter of a block away from the general store to reach the meatery that he was looking for. Outside of it was carriage that could be pulled by either horse or by hand and it was big enough to carry more than one animal at a time. It was still here which meant that the hunter was most likely still in the store. He would knock on the door that had a closed sign hanging in the window. The hunter would come to the window without opening the door "Yeah what do you want?" He would say clearly in a foul mood. Pyr would put his hands on his hips, "Well thats a fine how do you do." clearly entertained by the man's less than friendly greeting. "Look kid, if you don't got business here then scram." Pyr would shake his head "Why couldn't he be more friendly like the last guy." he would say under his breath. The unfriendly hunter would press his ear to the glass "What?' Pyr would see this and get closer " The magic knights sent me here to deal with the bandits. Do you know anything?" The door suddenly busted open and the man pulled Pyr inside before locking the door behind him. "Well why didn't you say so. Follow me." The hunter said leading Pyr to the back room where there was a meat cooler. Pyr watched as he opened the cooler and a man ran out of it and towards Pyr looking to escape. Instinct took over and before the bandit knew what hit him he was on his back. Pyr's right arm had wrapped around the bandit's neck and was forced to lean back a bit before Pyr's right leg snaked behind the heel of the bandit to be swept from under him. Pyr dropped a knee down onto the bandit's stomach immediately after to detain him. "You had one of these guys in here? For how long?" The hunter had a huge grin on his face, "Well after me and my hounds went looking for them after they robbed me the trail went cold so I did what any hunter would do and that was set some bait." He walked over cooler and leaned on the door. "The dumbass couldn't help but walk into my shop after i left the doors wide open, after bringing in my catch for the day. So when he went in I shut the door on him." Pyr smiled "Well this will save me sometime." he put more of his weight down on his knee to make him feel heavier which made his shin feel like a blade on the bandit's stomach. "So where is your base." but before the bandit could answer the hunter did. "It's a half a mile south west from the entrance to the forest. The base is built into the side of a huge hill just past a creek." Pyr didn't want to know how the hunter knew this but the hunter just said "The cold make people talk". So he would grab the hunter by his neck and twist his arm behind him in order to throw him back into the cooler. "Keep him here until I get back to officially arrest him.
With this information he would head back to the gate but since he had sometime to kill he would stop by the general store and pick a few ounces of blueberries to eat on his way. Once he was there he would see Azure waiting there. "I know where they are. Once Ophelia gets back I'll lead the way and we can figure out a plan of attack."
Post by Azure Minx on May 19, 2020 19:49:11 GMT -5
Waiting was less than fun, it did not take her a whole two hours to get the info she had gotten on where the bandits might be so now walking around while waiting was just getting on her nerves a bit, luckily though she soon saw another one of her teammates join her in the waiting by the front gate Azure silently appreciating having the company.
She was not silent for long as she soon started talking to the other girl asking on what they had learned “So what did you learn? Anything interesting or valuable?” she started only to soon be stopped by the other member getting back also, him opening with the fact he knows where they bandits are. “OH great, so you learned something good. Besides a general location all I got was the fact there are at least four guys, there are definitely more than that, but it is a good start to look out for.”
She idly started stretching a bit definitely ready to go “Alright lets go then, maybe we can split into two groups to come at their base from either side.” she suggested as she looked to Pyr “So where are they at, the woods somewhere right? I assume you have more info than just that otherwise you would not have said it like you did.” she figured she had a point about how he worded it and given they were all now assembled she was more than ready for him to get out with it.
She waited while Pyr explained where the bandits had been hold up at some hill build base just past a creek around a half a mile into the woods “Great, lets get on with it so we can get the goods back to town” she of course tried to not sound like she wanted to help the people a lot, but she really did care about them and want to do the job right and fast.
Azure would take up behind Pyr having him lead with her and the Silvia behind him more side by side so no-one is really ‘in back’ she figured with the explanation on how their magic worked that might be the best way to travel, that and Pyr was the one who found out where this base was suppose to be located.
Azure would mostly keep quiet during the walk as to add to maybe sneaking in a bit, it was best to not be super loud otherwise you might get heard and or spotted. Soon enough though the group got to the creek where Azure would try to pause them quietly talking to them now.
“Alright, lets not just go in there there might be some guards posted, ill go around another way to see if I can draw them out to me so you two can come in behind them, alright.” she did not wait to long for a reply before moving out making her way around as to sneak towards the otherside, if worse came to worse and she was spotted before she was ready, she would see if she could act like just a lost kid or something, the bandits are probably stupid or so her classic opinion on people below her.
She would find her way in closer soon spotting two guys seemingly as guards, one was just sitting by the entrance the other was having a smoke a bit closer to Azure’s location, he assumed there were others but that would be a good start it was time to make some noise!
She pulled out her grimure having it float next to her as it welled up with water before suddenly a torrent pushed out from the book forming up into the air taking shape into eleven “Hylla” that wove in between the treeline getting in closer two attacking the first man the rest heading onwards for the one who was sitting.
The standing man was taken by enough surprise that they had taken him down before he was able to pull out his grimure to defend himself while the other man got standing and out of the way quickly enough to avoid the initial attack of the serpent golems.
Azure hoped this was enough noise.

Ophelia would see her first team mate. The one who she was very wary about. Though, if she were to be honest with herself, Ophelia was wary of both of her partners. They were unknowns, and while the Magic Knights Exams were supposedly safe for the most part, it was also open to everyone and everyone. That was the problem in and of itself. There were truly no background checks unless you are a known rogue, a criminal whose name was at least spoken throughout at least the lowest rungs of the Magic Knights circles. Even then, however, Ophelia knew no comfort. She was used to going around the circles of the nobility, through the halls of the noble houses, the Silva family manor, and even those of the Vermillion and the Vaudes. Parties were common, and socializing even more so. She knew the Royal Capital, the Noble Region was her playground while she had been growing up. Venturing outside the Noble Region was not something that a Silva did without reason, and it was something that the children of the Silva family never did. There was no reason to, after all. They had everything they needed within the borders of the Royal Capital and the Noble Region. This was the reason why Ophelia herself was not comfortable at all, and not within her element. Kikka was the farthest she had gone outside of the Noble Region, and in all honesty with herself, she was scared. [break][break]
The young Silva heiress would swallow the fear. Instead, she would stand taller now. She needed to stand taller now. As the final members of their group approached, they were finally ready to share their information. She would first hear from both her team mates. They were, at least, able to gather some information. The young man was more informed in terms of the bandits’ whereabouts, while the short haired young woman was at least able to discern the minimum number of bandits within their group. Ophelia had the general direction of the base, though it seems that the young man knew where their hiding place was. It seems that his team mates were at least fairly competent. [break][break]
“The woman I talked to was able to watch the bandits go in a certain direction into the forest.” Ophelia would offer, “They work well together, and it seems that the bandits have members that were at least of a higher level than the common bandit.” She remembered the woman’s story, and how the bandits were able to not only work together to ransack and rob, but to also be able to find a way to get away from the city’s guards. In broad daylight, there was no way that common thieves and bandits would be able to actually pull it off. No, these bandits definitely had some members who were strong, and they had to be careful moving forward. [break][break]
It was then that they made their way towards the bandit camp. It was was an interesting trek, where most of the way was spent in an almost triangular formation, with the young man leading them. Ophelia would be in step with Azure for the most part, though keeping her distance as to not be caught in a precarious situation if ambushed. The forest, no matter how peaceful, was full of mana beasts. Ophelia knew of the dangers that the lines of trees possessed in its bosom, and she made sure to keep at the ready. While her grimoire sat snuggly inside the metal and gemstones lined leather pouch, her hand was at the ready to have it fly out and start casting her magic. While she herself had not truly been in a combat situation, Ophelia knew enough to always be ready. The guards of the Silva familial home had been her sparring partners, and her friend Ignis Vermillion was also someone who had given her advice on fighting. [break][break]
“I think we are getting close.” Ophelia would nod as she found herself looking at some tracks made of men’s boots. “These bandits are a bit too bold.” She muttered to herself. Ophelia was sure that the bandits were at least not afraid of anyone disturbing them, or better yet, following them this deep into the woods. At this point, she thumbed the satchel that held her grimoire. Ophelia knew that this would definitely turn into a fight. [break][break]
As predicted, they found the house that these bandits seem to be holding up in. Without hesitation, Azure seemed to push forward with a golem spell. Ophelia herself would watch, before realizing that they had been flanked. Two bandits charged Ophelia from the back, and she had to quickly flick open the flap of her satchel. Her grimoire came out bursting, glowing dark silver. Ophelia’s training kicked in, and it was the only reason why she had been saved from being hit directly. [break][break]
“Domus Prima!” [break][break]
The two bandits who charged at Ophelia were immediately trapped within a their own domes made of mercury. Ophelia did not hesitate, though she had taken her eyes away from her team mates. Ophelia was sure that the other two were now busy with their own opponents. [break][break]
“Arae! Destroy!” [break][break]
Two golems, knightly in their shape, spawned in front of Ophelia. Ophelia let the Domus Prima damage the two trapped bandits first, before letting the spell open up for the two Arae golems to smash their appendages onto the bandits who were dazed from not only the Domus Prima, but also their sapped speed. The two Arae golems, both bearing the Silva crest on their breastplate, knocked out the two bandits, though one of them dodged twice before being caught by the third swing of them golem. [break][break]
Two down. [break][break]
Ophelia would now turn to her team mates, looking to see if she could help their own battles in their own way, while her Arae golems stood beside her on-guard for any other potential ambushers. She felt safer with the golems flanking her, her own bodyguards of sorts.

Pyr made it to the meeting place as quick as he could still munching on the blueberries he bought from the General Store on the way back. As soon as they were all together Azure spoke first asking for the information they had gotten. naturally Pyr answered sharing the information that he had a fixed location on where the Bandits made their camp. Azure presented her information with that that she got a general location as well as a head count of at least four. "Well Whatever the number maybe at the base there is one bandit that his currently having himself a timeout over with the hunter." He looked at them for a moment before adding, "The hunter locked him in the ice box." Pyr would look over at Ophelia who would also add in that her informants gave her a general direction into the woods as well as the overall behavior of the bandits. "That makes sense. They would have to be coordinated to be able to pull off the robberies the way they have been. Nice find." Pyr was ready to head out and Azure voiced her desire to get this over with. Pyr still didn't know what to make of this Azure chick but overall he was pretty satisfied by how well the three of them managed to work well together.
Pyr was at the head while the other two followed behind making a triangle like formation towards the entrance out of town that lead into the forest. Before going into the line of trees Pyr looked up at the sun to get a general idea of where it's placement was and to defer which direction he needed to lead them. He shifted course and entered the forest. They were off the beaten path and he would find himself stepping around some fallen trees and around different kinds of plants. Deep into the woods and far off any real trail would be the creek and just beyond that would be the large sloping hill that had the base built into it. Ophelia would note as they got close and mentioned how the bandit's were bold, luckily Pyr was close enough to hear it. "Good. That means they won't see this coming." he would smirk. However before he could make a move Azure volunteered to go and try to cause chaos in order to draw them out of the base. She would take on two men on her own and Pyr would watch until he turned to Ophelia to see that she had spotted two bandits had come in from their flank and had brought out her Golem to deal with them.
Not Three more men would start their approach seemingly looking for them but had not yet spotted them. Good, Pyr would think as he started to stand up but remained in cover until they were just a bit closer. "These are mine" he would mutter before moving in a sprint towards them right out of the cover. They had clearly saw him but the distance he cleared didn't leave them enough time to react in the proper amount of time and he was on them. Before the first one could brandish a spell Pyr had already dropped out of his line of sight by slightly flanking his body on the left. He rotated in towards the guy with his right leg sweeping in with a kick catching the bandit by his calf sweeping him off balance. Pyr reached up under his armor and pulled out his Grimiore and channeled his mana into it. "Spear of Peleus" he used his aura to make a short handled spear and this is where the fun truly began for him. Holding the spear midshaft the bandit he came at next had time to use a spell to make a club like object out of steel, "Let's see just how strong your steel can hold up against my aura!" He took the back end of his spear and crouched down lowering his stance taking up a battle stance. The bandit with the club of steel came at him swinging with an overhead downward swing. With a pivot step with his rear leg in conjunction with moving the spear head down and making the back of the spear go vertical as the club connected it would cause the club to deflect and go off on an angle away from Pyr. Once the opening was made Pyr would drive the butt of the spear into the face of the Bandit. Stepped out and with a spin he would thrust the spear hard into the sternum of the bandit. Clutching his chest as the wind was knocked out of him he went down face first. He would look back at Ophelia as she finished. "I can handle the rest of the small fries. See if you can help Azure or take out the guy in charge. I'll catch up." One of the bandits spoke up "Who are you calling small fries! Just because you got lucky doesn't mean you can handle us now that we are ready." Pyr's eyes would grow sharper upon hearing this but that smile that was always on his face seemed more sinister to the bandits. "Then come on. You can prove it to me as I make you eat dirt!"
In his left hand he would focus his aura again to conjure another weapon and with one fluid motion he would pull his hand back and with a turn of his hip he would sling the new spear at the bandit knocking him off his feet, "Spear of Hektor" The bandit would get up slowly as the Spear of Hektor vanished. "Try not to take it too hard when this is over okay?"

Azure now moves in with her golems sending them after the three men that went for Pyr and Ophelia while she was moving in to deal with the last man standing by the entrance now seeing him fully get into the attack ready pulling out his gimuire.
Azure, seeing him pulling it out she immediately starts casting another spell “Aphrodite!” water trailing up into her hand to form the shape of a bow, azure then pulling back the string to form three arrows of water to fire right off at the man, she intentionally sent two of the arrows behind him and one for his front in order to take by surprise with where the arrows came from. The arrows themselves are very hard to spot unless you have been well trained to do so.
The arrows move in quickly, the two getting behind him and striking into the wall of the base causing a blast of water nettles to spike out into the man’s back. The man managed to cast a spell of his own, a wall of steel forming in front of him that was then hit by the arrow, however he was still caught up in the explosion from behind him that being enough to take him out of commission, the steel wall dropping as he dropped to the floor.
Azure did not seem to care she had taken down the man as she moved right to his body to make sure he was restrained in some ropes before kicking down the door to the base in order to see about clearing the place out making sure there is no more bandits inside while she yelled for her teammates “Im checking inside, I hope you got a handle on those last two goons out here!” she moved into the place, her golems vanishing as she did.
Inside the base was rather nicely made, not seeming to be too armed with traps, but she was still careful, moving room to room looking for more bandits and for where the stolen goods might be. She found no signs of more people inside as though the three who came out after she started attacking were the last of them so next Azure searched for the stolen supplies.
Azure would find a door leading down into a basement storehouse inside of course she would find the stolen goods. Figuring the two up top are gonna be easily handled by her team she got to work starting to float the boxes of goods out of the basement, bringing it out to the main room of the bandit base to stack up the goods for further transport once they are done outside.
Azure felt this was a job well done, they had managed to take down all of the bandits and get back the supplies all in a timely manner and all without any of her team getting hurt by the bandits, or if they did she did not really notice it. She was also disappointed though, she had thought it would be much harder to deal with than it was, but yet they really had no trouble taking these people down, hardly something fitting her power level. She tried not to mind it much though, this mission showed off well enough how she could act favorably with a team even if she is a bit high and mighty about her strength.
No time to really sound on thought right now as she got to work and started to move the pile of goods from inside the base to outside, restacking at the entrance into the base next to where the guard bandit she took out was lying unconscious. She of course looked to her teammates who definitely looked like they had things handled enough that she could focus just on getting ready to take the supplies and bandits out of here. “Hurry it up over there, let's get this stuff back to the shops!”
Name of Spell: Aphrodite (Taken from Artemis)[break] Elemental Type: Water[break] Rank & Spell Type: Senior | Attack Creation & Sensory (Illusion)[break] Range & Speed: 80 meters | 50 m/s | 70m AOE[break] Mana Cost: 24 | 12[break] Stats Effected: Power +9, Blinds, -9 Sensory[break] Applicable Perks: Quick Shot, Artillery Support, Mana Conservationist, Master Illusionist, Build up.[break] Description: Aphrodite is a bow made of Artemis' element, water. When the string is pulled back, an arrow made of water appears and can be shot by Artemis. Through ammo rules, Artemis is able to create more than one arrow at a time per draw and shoot. The Bow itself can be used in a physical fight, though its main use is for ranged combat. The arrows can either pierce an enemy, or it it hits solid materials like ground or walls, it bursts into sharp water needles that hits in an AOE manner. At first hit, opponents are blinded by the water that hits their eyes. The blind effect only happens once per opponent. The arrows, as well, are coated with an illusion, making them very hard to see, hear, and detect with mana, and finally are able to home in on their intended target because of the user's Sensory. Those hit by the spell will also have their sensory debuffed, following on debuff rules.[break]
Ophelia watched as her two group mates started to deal with their own bandits. While Ophelia did not trust her group mates fully, she could at least give them the benefit of the doubt in terms of actually seeing this mission through. After all, if they are interested in joining the Magic Knights, then they must do well during this phase of the exams. Ophelia herself gave it her all, though she knew her emotions sometimes gets the better of her. It was the reason she was reserved for the most part. [break][break]
“Yes.” She would respond as the young man told her to help their other team mate out. “Arae, go.” Ophelia ordered her two golems to start heading towards the bandits. There were only two left, and they would fall easily. [break][break]
Without fail, Ophelia predicted them to try and outflank her. Her golems themselves were not fast, so the bandits thought that they could maneuver safely around, before catching Ophelia off guard, and then finally taking her out so her golems would not be an issue. [break][break]
“A mistake. Domus Prima.” [break][break]
The two bandits that had almost gotten close enough to Ophelia were immediately trapped, just like their companions before. Their speeds were sapped, and they would try their best to break the spell, to no avail. [break][break]
“Arae, smash.” [break][break]
Ophelia quickly let the Domus Prima go, before having her Arae smack their hands onto the bandits, dispatching them in one go. It was a technique that she had developed for herself, since she did not have an offensive type of magic save her golems. It complimented her defensive style very well. [break][break]
She would turn towards her companions, who seemed to have everything in order. Ophelia would head in with Azure, tucking her grimoire once again into her satchel, clipping it with easy. She thumbed the material, hearing her mother’s words ringing through her thoughts. She was almost a Magic Knight, almost. [break][break] “So, shall we get these back then?”

With Pyr keeping the last of the bandits that were stationed outside of the base at bay he gave Ophelia a chance to storm the base with Azure who went in ahead of them. With both of the bandits up on their feet Pyr would take up a basic but effective fighting stance. He watched as both bandits nodded at each other before they started to inch forward towards him but they would both circle looking to get on either side of Pyr. It was a solid tactic and it was even more clever that they both did this at the same time. Unfortunately for them he had training in dealing with multiple attackers at a time. As they moved into position he watched their movement speed he wasn't sure but he had a feeling the one he had nailed with his Javelin would be the slower of the two which he was correct in this assumption. "You know surrounding me like this isn't a bad idea but there is one flaw with your tactic." he would say as if he were belittling their efforts. He wouldn't let the bandit get a word in since their answers would be overridden by what he was about to say and more importantly, do. "Attacking at two angles is a solid plan but..." he would pause to turn and towards the one he deemed to be his target. "Comet Strike" he would should as his Grimiore would activate allowing his aura to surround his body and dash towards his target before either one could react. Pyr would slam into him sending him flying back from the impact. His buddy would charge at Pyr from behind and wrap his hands arms around him looking to pin his arms at his side. With the back of his head Pyr would slam the back of his head into the face of the bandit. With this distracting the bandit Pyr would lower his base a bit and with both of his arms he would push them out to the side and up to cause the arms that were locked around him to slide up towards his head. Pyr would slip under the opening to position one leg behind the bandit while the other one plants to act as his base. Both of his arms would reach down to the bandit's legs and lift up throwing the bandit backwards over his lowered hip and to the ground below.
The bandit would scramble up to his feet but only in time for Pyr to already be in motion to end this little fight. "Hammer of Ajax" he would say with the last bit of his mana to make a hammer from his aura and would swing it hard and with purpose into the sternum of the bandit. Acting quickly Pyr would release the hammer to drop down onto the ground wrapping his legs around the bandit's waist while his right arm wrapped around the neck of the bandit. He would roll onto his back, pulling the bandit with him and would finish putting pressure on the choke hold he had the bandit in to cause him to pass out. Once he was out Pyr would release the choke and push him to the side to continue his nap while he looked for rope so he could secure the would be prisoners. "You are all under arrest now."

Azure nodded to the other girl as they came on over to help out with the goods “Alright! If you two can handle getting the bandits all tied up i'll carry all the goods. I figure it would be the best idea, or well I certainly believe so.” as she went about getting the goods in a pile enough for her to envelop in some mana and just sorta have float up ready to be carried behind her.
Azure next looked back to the rest of her crew as they started to go about getting all the men tied up and ready to be taken away also. With this half done she started on her way back to down ahead of the others figuring they would catch up once done getting them all together and ready to be taken away, while she walked she sorta thought a bit.
Azure thought on how this experience was for her, was all magic knight stuff gonna be like this? Go out fight some bad guys bring in the stolen goods, or was it gonna be much more menial in its work, that is to say it would be uninspired and boring, missions that did not matter in the slightest to the strong. Then again she wanted to be a magic knight because it would help put her in the lines of getting even stronger than before, and what good is power if you dont show it off, or at least try? She never really thought about how the people of the world might view someone doing such missions, how they might see them as some kind of hope. Azure was not really much of a beacon of hope or what have you, she was in it for herself and if someone did get helped along the way it was not like she cared about having helped them, it was just chance. Would she need to adapt to make more effort in looking helpful, looking like she is not just in it because it would make her strong? Maybe.
As she pondered all of this she made her way back to the town heading into market to start distributing the stolen merchandise to their proper places best she could, some stuff was easier to know where it was suppose to go, but other stuff was not as quick and she needed to gather some of the shop keepers to help her figure out where all the stuff goes, all this while they started to praise her a fair bit of getting their things back, something she just sorta brushed off best she could not wanting to look super ego boosted.
“Thank you, it was really nothing, I um, had help, they are just bringing the bandits in..” she said this all in an attempt to try and self humblize herself a bit already making a bit of an effort to change, it was not that she was not super ego boosted by all of this praise and stuff, btu she also felt like she HAD to yah know, give credit back to her team because really she probably could not have done it without them, not that she would mention this.
Pyr had done his work and got the location of the place and also did rather well in taking people down, as did that sivia girl she keeps forgetting the name of, they both really did more than she did in this, they took down more people that is. She however was also boosting her own thoughts on what she did because well she figured her breaching into the bandit’s base was a good thing to have done and was the right thing to do, because if she had run into someone or someones in that place she would of had to do a lot of work, so that makes sense, not likes he would have known the place was already empty of people of whatever.
At this point she tried to fully regroup with her team moving both hands raised “Alright, you both did better than I had hoped. So good on you” she praised them in her own self serving way as she tried to high five them both. That is what teams do after a win right? High five. She had no idea she just hoped this was correct. Teams are new to this thief of a mage.
