[attr="class","ardereescroll"]Sweat dripped down the fire mage's brow before dissolving inevitably from the exasperating dry heat. Ardere stood atop the scorched earth and obsidian rock this land was comprised of. The Volcano Grand Magic Zone. Quite some time had passed since he traversed this region, training and fighting his way through various hordes of creatures and beasts. Once he even raised a young wyrm; Ignis. Many days this place consumed his mind. The times he spent here training with his mentor Lysander and even where he adventured with Emily and...Silas. It was not inaccurate to say that this place would often dwell in his dreams. Flashes and memories of long forgotten civilizations, adventures in caverns. The Volcano Zone was the place he was forged. Every ounce of strength he had tended to come back to this place, to the day he fought his mentor. [break][break] Now, the Crimson Lion Captain stood on these rocks awaiting those who would begin their journeys here. Several mages across the Kingdom from various lineages had been invited to train here with him, all up and coming. Ardere had given up on taking apprentices after Silas, but there was a happiness in helping others. This was a trait he wished not to lose, even after the tragedy he suffered. Losing an integral part of him would be too much. So now, he sought to train others and help himself if he possibly could. Back to the place where it all began. The billowing smoke and smoldering liquid flame engulfed the Magic Zone. The mana here was so potent that even those not proficient in sensory magic could feel it. The mana was all around them, it made up this place. Beasts lurked in the shadows of flame, creatures waiting underneath their feet. To ordinary mages this was not a safe place, but to them it would be their forge. [break][break] As the mages started to roll in, Ardere kept his back turned to the group for a moment. Amber eyes fixed on the pooling lava and slithering serpents that lay within, he inhaled sharply. So you made it. That's good. Showing up is the first step. Turning around to face them, the well over 6 feet tall and 240 lbs of muscle man looked over them. A smirk crossed his pale lips as he slowly stepped down from the rock. The heat causes his Crimson Lion cape to flutter in the scorching breeze. I invited you all here because there are threats that endanger us, lurking in the shadows. Most of you know who I am, and what I'm talking about; the Daemon. They are plaguing our Kingdom, and if we don't step it up then there's no last minute maneuver like there was with Diamond, we just die. And that's that. His face was stoic now, as he stepped forward. But I don't think we're going to die. No. I think we can win, but only if we work together. This place, it was a place where I trained many times when I was a younger Knight. There are beasts and ruins here that hold power long forgotten. So, will you rise to the challenge? It had been quite a while since he had given a speech outside of that Magic Knight Exam stunt, but he felt good. He only hoped they would be willing to go with him on this adventure. /div]

The Volcano Grand Magic Zone, Valo had heard of it every now and then. Usually through whispers from his other squad mates back at base. What started off as just little talks he heard turned into genuine intrigue and curiosity. A zone made of blistering smoke and harsh flames, the mana itself was hot and could be felt by anyone. Valo had heard that just a few magic knights sought to train here and came out of it anew. This is where powerful knights were forged and tested again and again, and that simple knowledge alone was enough to make Valo take the trip here and see it for himself. He took a breath as he arrived letting the heat fill his body, never had he been in a place like this. And he found it to be truly magnificent. Valo was a fire mage himself, but still the overwhelming heat was even to much for him at first. He couldn't tell if it was the heat or the mana itself, it was probably both. Beads of sweat dropped from his forehead and instantly dissolved from the heat. It was a struggle but Valo doing his best to become more accustomed to the heat itself. He took some breaths and started to rely just a little on his meditation, adjusting himself to the Magna Zone as much as he possibly could.
Once the young wizard knight heard about the invite from the Crimson Lions Captain himself, he was looking forward to this day. He had known quite a few members of the Crimson Lions now, his good friend Fell who he hadn't seen in a while but hoped to see him here. Lydia the vice captain of Crimson Lions who gave him and his fellow Green Mantis knights a spar they would possibly never forget. That night made him learn his lesson about being to overly brash and confident, thinking he could last a couple more seconds against the fastest magic knight in Clover was idiotic. She quickly taught him that as he stood now, he had no chance. But instead of it demoralizing him it only fueled him even more to be stronger.
Now he knew where he stood and what the limit was, now was the time to surpass that limit. No better place then to do it here, with the Ardere Kasai himself. Valo had heard a lot about Ardere, even before he joined Green Mantis. He knew this captain was beyond powerful, he truly had no limits to his power. Valo would be tough to admit but he looked up to Ardere, he admired his power and they shared the same element of fire. He knew as he stood now his flame would pale in comparison to the Captain of the Crimson Lions, but one day he did hope to rival it.
Valo lit a small flame in his hand looking at it, gazing at it for a few seconds before looking up at Ardere and putting it out. The young knight wasn't much for speeches, he didn't like to give them nor listen to them. But this speech was different, it was an important one. The threats around clover were becoming more and more present, that was obvious so the time came for more and more magic knights to work together. Valo listened closely as the man spoke, it was a good speech a really good speech Valo thought. He couldn't help but grin as his excitement grew, Valo was all for challenges the very reason he became a magic knight was to challenge himself and his farther. Upon hearing that Ardere himself trained here many times to acquire his strength fueled Valo's motivation even more. He took a look at the other magic knights that would also be apart of this training, some faces he recognized others he didn't.
In his mind he was looking forward to challenging them all, but he quickly tossed such thoughts aside if anything they were all going to have to work together to get through this. But now was not the time to be his usual brash and cocky self, he had to put that side of him on pause. This training would require his utmost attention, and he was smart enough to know that.
When Ardere finished speaking he ended his speech with a question of will they rise to the challenge, Valo would answer that without hesitation. "Of course. Let's do this." he said simply taking a step forward. The look in his eyes didn't waver not one bit, his brows furrowed. The look of pure determination was clearly written over his face. It was at this time he never felt more like a magic knight, the white haired knight was ready to face any challenge given to him.
To most people, the Volcano Grand Magic Zone was probably how they envisioned Hell to look, or feel...but not Fuu. The dwarf instead...just thought it was too damn hot! The earth mage had gotten here through the use of her flying broom which was now strapped safely to her back. The mana she felt was just as extreme as this heat, evident by the sweat forming on her face, but she was not complaining a single bit. Not because of the heat exhausting her...but because she was focused on the man in front of her...
Ardere Kasai, captain of the Crimson Lions. First, the earth mage was fortunate enough to meet Lydia, and now this? She couldn't contain her wide grin, that strong look of glee on her face. Even though she bears the mantle of the Green Mantises, there was still a special spot in Fuu's heart for the Crimson Lions. Her late mentor was also a member of said squad, and was the primary reason she became a Magic Knight in the first place. Despite them not picking her in the Magic Knight Exams, Fuu remained a fan of those rowdy lions, and to be in the same area as their captain...able to witness his presence, it just left the usually loudmouthed girl silent. Fuu just kept herself fixed on Ardere, not noticing Valo beside her, or anyone else for that matter.
The moment he started to talk, the girl's mouth gaped open. He sounded so tough, so confident that it was enough to make Fuu bounce in place, both pumped for this training and just to listen to this guy speak. As the Captain turned around to face the others, Fuu's bouncing stopped. She was not prepared to see the fire mage's face as it was enough to cause the dwarf's cheeks to flush...or that could've been just from the heat. His demeanor, those muscles, the scars visible on his chest...The mantis knight could've just fainted right there if she weren't so strong willed. But with even thinking about all of that, Fuu was still able to listen to what he had to say. The moment he brought up having trained here in his youth, Fuu gasped as she looked around surprisingly. "He...trained here?" she muttered. This certainly felt like a fitting place for someone like him to train, all the more reason why she couldn't let this guy down!
As Ardere topped his inspirational speech off with a very important question, Fuu couldn't contain herself and screeched, nearly blurting out, "I LOVE Y-" but luckily she caught herself by covering her mouth with both hands, her eyes widened in disbelief. Taking a deep breathe with her eyes closed, the dwarf lowered her hands, placing them on her hips and stepped up as well. "Naturally." she answered, a strong sense of pride in her expression with a challenging grin to match.

Like most others, Elliot was not immune to the heat that was all around them here. So dry, so hot, and here she was at an open invitation training made by the leader of the Crimson Lions. She hated it now, but when she had decided to go it was because she knew someone like him would be able to teach her enough to eventually be able to join a Magic Knight Squad once she was more willing to do such a thing. Elle was neither the first, nor last, to arrive into the mana intensive area. Even with her low sensory she could feel it almost smothering her as she shifted her own body around to be more comfortable as she stood in the small crowd of people that were showing up for such an event. Even though she knew no one here, so far, she still felt safe. Many here were here for the good of all, and if any really tried to mess with her she had the new sword at her side. The hot spots among the Ember Blade glowed and changed to the same beat as the Volcano they were near. Odd, but maybe this was the place the weakened weapon had originally been hexed so long ago.
After a while, Ardere would begin on a speech for them all. Showing up was the first step, but now they had to make sure that even that first bit of progress was not lost from here on out. The Crimson Lions leader would go on about danger in the shadows and a Daemon, about how they were plaguing the Kingdom and that they needed to step up they would simply all die. Being out of the loop, and not really being focused on such things, a lot of this was simply new information to her. He would mentiion that he didn't believe they would die, but that they could actually win if they worked together against this terrible enemy. It was all because of this that he would admit that he had brought them to his very own personal training spot from when he was younger to help them grow stronger. It made sense, after all, to have a powerful mage train you where he had before. If he had grown to be that strong, maybe the rest could do the same with more guidance than he had had at the time.
Rather than speak, shout, or give a verbal answer to the speech and the question of rising to the challenge at the end of the speech, Elliot would simply nod her head as she stood there. For all intents and purposes she was here as Elliot, the effeminate man that wanted to prove himself to the world as someone that could be a strong hero with his own path. Light travel clothing covered up his body and allowed him freedom of movement for when it came to spells and physical combat with whatever Ardere decided they needed to try and fight. It also allowed for Elliot to suffer less in the heat over someone that had decided to wear metal armor or more layers of clothing for some reason.
Azure had heard about the magic zones, and this one was one of the more dangerous ones filled with natural terrain that was a hazard and some deadly monsters to boot, the perfect place for a little boot camp. So the newly joined Dawn member had come out to train with some background characters and the fucking captain of the cimsion lions! Hell to the yes.
To say she was excited was an understatement, she was ecstatic for the chance to once again try to show off for a captain and get close enough to ask about if or not she could get one of his spells! Because where better to get strong spells to use than from one of the strongest magic knights! She already got spells from the vice captain of Mantis, so she hoped this would be fine also.
Azure would arrive at the location wearing her normal black and kinda flowy dress, her backpack of some just supplies she fingered she would need, her grimoire at her hip and of course to finish things off, her magic knight mantle from the Golden Dawn, a thing she was a bit smug about having because well, Golden Dawn is the place for people of exceptional quality and power.
She would notice of course the several other people around her just hoping one of them might be worth some sort of time while her attention shifted to Ardere who started into a speech about this training being because of the deamon problem and he wanted us in shape to handle it. He then spoke on how he had trained here and honestly, she could see it, I mean he did look strong and felt it too.
However her excitement was soon soured as she heard one of the others speak, of course it was not Valo’s words of sure that soured her it as hearing some Mantis punk almost saying ‘I LOVE YOU’ loudly to the captain, like who even does that, then they tried to cover it up but she heard it and was very much wanting to blow them away using the spells she had gotten from their own vice captain.
Luckily enough she would manage to stay cordial as she looked to address the Crimson Lion captain, talking in as respectable a way as she can to lead into asking about spells. “Sir, In this training we are expected to train in your magic as well as bodies and such yes? If so that first part might prove a bit of a problem due to how I learn spells by copy. For the sake of trying to learn would it be alright for me to utilize spells from your repertoire?” She said sorta gesturing towards where she assumed the larger man kept his grimoire.

The Volcano Grand Magic Zone, an uncommon place for people to come. Especially for a lazy Black Bull like Charles. The heat surrounding him was nothing like he had experienced before he was constantly sweating with no signs of stopping. Even though he was had a terrible sensory ability he was able to feel the amount of mana that surrounding the place and the high concentration of mana that surrounded the area. Multiple Magic Knights from different squads came to train as an invitation from the Captain of Crimson Lions, Ardere Kasai. Someone who has gained a reputation of being one of the strongest mages the Clover Kingdom has. A younger Charles will probably be screaming like a little kid if he was in front of one of the most known Captains in the entire Kingdom, but this wasn't the case. As a matter of fact, he was dragged instead of coming here willingly with the idea that the lazy black bull will learn something.
The Captain of the Crimson Lions began to address and state the reason why everyone is here and why he has decided to dedicate his time to training younger Magic Knights. Due to the threat that has been lurking in the shadows and threatens the entire Kingdom, the Daemons. The silver mage knew things about them, but he has never encountered a Daemon personally nor fought one, but taking into consideration the voice tone from Ardere it made it seem like the Daemons were the biggest threat he has faced yet even for an experienced and strong mage like him. Even though the Daemons seemed like a formidable enemy the Captain believed they could win, he had faith that if they worked together they will be able to pass those obstacles and obtain victory. The speech itself was quite motivational giving words of encouragement to the younger magic knights to train and become powerful to protect the Kingdom from this threat. Though this somewhat encouraged the silver mage, it didn't change anything a lot of his way of viewing things. The area was so hot it made him want to take go back at the base a take a nap.
The black bull then heard a familiar voice who almost said I love you the Captain. He looked at the direction he heard the voice to see the appearance of a Green Mantis who was small enough for him to think she was a little girl. Which could be the case if he didn't encounter her before. That was Fuu Wilhelm, the dwarf that said that if he saw him again she will try and kill him, then again he didn't really believe she will do that and for the most part shrug it off as long as he didn't have to come in contact with her at any point. "Good grief... The heat is surely a pain in the ass here..." It will probably take some time for him to adapt to the heat to the point he wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Anyway, he will soon get started, he just hoped the training didn't result in anything pointless or a waste of time overall, but with a Captain like Ardere training them, the possibility of the training a complete waste was very low.

[attr="class","ardereescroll"] [break]Ardere smiled. It was a smile that held a plethora of emotions within it; joy, anxiety, fear, excitement, among other things. Truth be told the Crimson Lion was afraid of training others again, but that was why he made the decision to gather a group. Together their strength could break mountains. This was the new age of mages and their strength was imperative to fight against their Daemon enemies. But not only their magic, their hearts as well. He sought to imprint something in them, something he learned a long time ago. But he did not reveal that just yet, not until they were ready. They'd learn, just like he did. Chuckling at the young woman's comments as she blurted out, he liked this group. They were interesting. Welcome. Thank you all for coming. Each one of you is here for a reason; potential. Plain and simple. But to bring out that potential, I'm going to expose you to danger here. This is a Grand Magic Zone. For those of you who have never been in one, the mana here is palpable. I'm sure you can feel it. Places like this are where dungeons dwell, but there is a power here for you to grasp as well. Motioning for the group to follow him, he led them to a river of lava nearby. [break][break] This was no ordinary river of lava, it was bubbling over, filled with lava serpents and beasts of the like. There was a broken obsidian bridge built across this river, but damage from battles had left it in shards. Five chunks of bridge remained, about twenty meters apart from one another. This bridge had once been beautiful, carved from a shining stone dark as the Abyss itself. But now it laid in ruin much like everything else here did. This place was once part of a Palace. A palace ruled by Kings who sought to rule with the power of dragons. Now this place is sunk under lava and rock. The dragons are all but a legend now, mostly anyways. A smirk crossed his lips again, thoughts trailing back to a long lost Desert temple, then to this lava place with a young Wyrm. Shaking these thoughts, he mind returned back to the present. Turning to face the mages, a blazing form powered across him. Skin became scales and laterals became wings. Crimson King: Ryujin. His eyes shot from a cool amber to a piercing yellow, almost like a cat. The man standing before them was now part dragon. As for your earlier question, Ms Copy Mage. If you can pass my test, then I'll award you with a spell. Now, all of you. Cross this broken bridge via any means necessary. I will be hovering above to watch you. This is a test of ingenuity and wit. No spells are off limits. Each piece has about twenty meters of distance between them, so get creative. Giving the group a wink, the Dragon-like man took to the sky with his incredible wings, giving no time for questions. High above, he waited to see what they were to do. This was their first test. Introductions and bonding were important, but they would come after.
Name of Spell: Crimson King: Ryujin[break] Elemental Type: Fire[break] Rank & Spell Type: Grand | Transformation (Transfigure - Transport) | Physical Reinforcement (Speed)[break] Range & Speed: Self | 60 m/s[break] Mana Cost: 40 (20)[break] Stats Effected: +20 m/s[break] Applicable Perks: Mana Conservationist, Predator's Mutation.[break] Description: The user quite literally transmutes their own body to grow wings that appear like those of a dragon, and burst into flames. The user's fingers also extend by 4 inches into claws with red scales that go up his arms/legs/torso and across his face, his feet being subject to the same claw growth as his hands. Ardere's eyes will even turn a piercing yellow, with vertical slit eyelids. The wings themselves are 50 inches. This spell's speed is further increased via the use of Physical Reinforcement magic, causes Ard's veins to pulse as magic flows through them. Ardere can transport others if he wishes, with a maximum of 5 people.

Azure would wait for a reply only for the man to start talking about his goal to bring out their potential by exposing them to the danger of the Grand Magic Zone, he talked on how the mana was here and of course she could feel it while he also talked into the power that is here to grasp by being in this place. Honestly Azure could care less about that stuff, right now she just wants to get into the training because she is hot and uncomfortable and just wants to get through this training.
She would of course follow as the other man led them to a river of lava filled with spooky creatures of lava moving through the molten rock like it was a normal river. On the river is a broken bridge of obsidian, Ardere would then talk about history junk like some kind of nerd or something, saying something about wanting to control dragons and now dragons are legends, really she was not paying attention to the history lesson.
She did however start paying attention as the other man used some sort of spell, becoming scaly and gaining wings, his eyes now more reptilian. Azure was glad she was paying attention to him again as he started to address her question, telling her the ‘earn it’ deal, something that she was a bit annoyed with needing to do but would let it go for now, perhaps one of the side characters would be willing to pass on some spells in the meantime. In any case Adere then instructed the group to cross the broken bridge by whatever means they can, telling them to be creative.
Azure would choose not being super creative and just starting a cast, water beginning to well from her grimoire as she pulled it out before torrents of water pushed on out into four shapes that slowly gained more definition “Hylla!” she called out the spell as the four drakes of water took form. Azure grabbed on to one of the antler like horns of water as the golem rose and used it to bring herself on to the golem. Now standing on the golem she would look down on the others, two of the other golems staying by Azure’s ride while the fourth moved on down to the group’s level. “Alright! I can take you two mantis along if you need or want.” Azure was only doing this out of feeling she did owe Artemis something for not being able to join into the Green Mantis after being given their spells so being nice to other Mantises was her way of paying back.
If or not they chose to take the ride Azure would start on her crossing, sitting down properly on the golem glad for the refreshing cold that its water gave. With a command the golems would m start flying on over the bridge, the two golems at the one Azure was riding’s sides were there as guards of sorts, just to make sure if a monstrous lava beast chose to try and attack, they would be met with resistance.
Meanwhile the fourth golem of water would wait for if the mantis got on or not, though the command it was given was to wait there until at least one person got on, though it can carry two, before following its creator. The golem had no way of really telling who got on it.

It can also take verbal commands though it has to be simple. Hylla uses its tail to appendages to attack, and Artemis is able to summon more than one based on her control stat following golem creation ammo rules. Hylla is also able to fly, and can be used as transportation to move at a speed of 10 m/s and be able to carry up to 2 people. It is 4 meters long.[break]

Valo palmed his face when he took a look at his squad mate Fuu, just as short and as loud as always. With the addition of never failing to embarrass herself and possibly others. But Valo still had in mind to watch her back if the need should arise. She was a squad mate and tough girl at that he witnessed it first hand when they had to fight Lydia together. He took notice to a few of the others, some decided to speak out and others stayed quiet. There was one girl in particular who claimed she could only use spells by copying others, a interesting magic he thought and he wondered how it worked. He made a mental note to return to the subject at a much better time.
His attention returned back to the Captain of the Crimson Lions though as he started to speak again, he started to give the overall history of this place that Valo actually took some interest in. He didn't know if it was because he was a fire wizard that drawn him to it, or just his overall quest for a higher strength. But he did find himself listening to Ardere's story carefully. The mention of dragons really caught his ear though, Valo had always wondered if dragons were still alive somewhere. Giving the legends they had to be such powerful creatures to no longer exist completely Valo didn't by it. There had to be at least one if not more, and he was willing to bet Ardere knew something about it as well.
Valo watched as the man transformed himself into something a lot more powerful and menacing. It was a truly amazing transformation spell Valo could feel the heat coming off the beat of the wings. Transformation magic was something Valo always had a interest in, but had yet to learn how to truly utilize it in his grimoire. It was refreshing to see how a powerful mage like Ardere use a spell to such an extant. But now was the time to focus on the task, it seemed simple enough if one had the proper spell or equipment. Getting over a few broken bridges would be no trouble at all if that was all there was to it. Valo kept an open mind that there could be something else at play. But for now he would just focus on the task, he would begin to summon his golem spells but stopped when the copy mage offered him and Fuu the only two green mantis magic knights there a ride.
"Welp a free ride is a free right. Thanks" He said simply with no hesitation as he hoped on one of the water made dragon golems. He didn't know why she offered, maybe just to be kind or trying to get the group to work together. It could many reasons, maybe even a trick but Valo was willing to risk it. If he could conserve mana for now and use it later than he would. The golem would follow behind it's owners command and start flying over the bridge.
The moment that green haired lady opened her mouth, Fuu gave her a side glare. 'Just who in the hell does this chick think she is!? If anybody should be allowed to touch Ardere's awesome grimoire, it ought to be me!!' the girl thought to herself, clearly missing the point as to why the so called copy mage made that request. Her attention immediately went back to the fire mage however as he started to speak once more.
Fuu was normally not the type to stand around listening to long speeches...but there were exceptions of course, Ardere being one of them. The earth mage's eyes lit up as the word "potential" was uttered from the fire mage's mouth. There were other people here besides herself, but the dwarf couldn't help but to think of this personally. This hasn't been the first time someone Fuu looked up to saw potential in her, but every time it happens, it boosts the young noble's motivation, making her strive to be better!
Like the others, Fuu followed Ardere as well. Her eyes set on the broken obsidian bridge...and the terrifying creatures that lurk in the lava underneath. The dwarf wasn't phased by them however, only looking more excited as her heart started to pump faster. Then the Magic Knight captain talked more on the history of this location, speaking about dragons. The girl wondered if there were dragons that commanded the earth. The idea of riding on the back of one of those while it vanquished her foes...wasn't all that bad. Then before everyone's very eyes, Ardere freaking transformed! What was once a man had now become what Fuu could best describe as some sort of dragon/human hybrid! Fuu's mouth was wide open, words not being able to describe what she had just witnessed. Her eyes followed the guy as he ascended.
Despite her mind being all over the place, Fuu was still able to understand the task she was given, and her eyes set back on the broken bridge. It was her time to do what she did best...
Before she could walk over to a piece of the bridge, Fuu stopped and heard the green haired mage shout something, turning around to see what was up. The woman summoned four drakes crafted of water, and unknown to the dwarf, this was a spell that belonged to her vice captain. The lady then offered to give her and Valo who she just now realized was here a ride on two of these golems. "Pff no thanks, lady, but we don't need help from any Golden Lamer-" "Welp a free ride is a free right. Thanks" Fuu stopped speaking after hearing her squad mate. She watched as Valo climbed up on one of the golems with an expression of comical disbelief and disgust. She then shook her head, trying to play this "betrayal" off like it were nothing and closed her eyes, crossing her arms as well. "Well....I don't need your help, soooo..." The girl made a shooing gesture with her hand.
Assuming that the green haired lady and Valo were already in the process of going to the other side, Fuu turned to face the bridge once more with her eyes open, now noticing just how far the other side is. "...Shit." she muttered. Fuu stood there deep in thought. She pondered on a way to cross this bridge....despite the VERY obvious answer that was strapped to her back, her flying broom. "How the hell am I gonna get over ther-" Fuu stopped, looking up at the flying captain. A devious grin grew on her face as she came up with something which would hurt her...if she were some softie.
After backing up some, Fuu started to make a full sprint at the broken bridge. At first glance, most would probably think she was going to attempt jumping over it which would've been a death sentence right there, but Fuu wasn't that dense. No, the moment she got to the edge, the girl's grimoire glowed and she stomped on the ground, causing a pillar of stone to rise up right from under her, gesturing her body in a way so that it will send the girl flying upward and forward! Despite the pain inflicted on herself, Fuu laughed almost manically as she stretched one of her hands out in an attempt to grab one of Ardere's feet! Unfortunately...she was not high enough and the moment the dwarf missed, her expression faltered as she started to fall back down. At the rate she was going, she'd barely be able to reach the first obsidian bridge, but fortunately...or rather unfortunately for the dwarf, Fuu landed stomach first on the golem Valo was riding.
"Eh...I think I'm gonna be sick..." the girl complained as she slowly sat up behind Valo, attempting to hold in a potential puke.

With her grimoire flipped to the desired page, Fuu stomps her foot onto a solid surface while crossing her arms together, causing a pillar of of stone that is five feet in width to shoot up from the ground up to ten feet high within a twenty-five meter radius around her. If the target is struck with this, it will inflict blunt junior ranked damage as well as potentially send them flying two meters back (an additional 5 meters added every ten power gained) unless it rams them into a surface. Fuu is capable of forming an additional pillar per ten control gained.

The Crimson Lion Captain officially welcomed and thanked all the people present at the Volcano Grand Magi Zone. Though there was a bit of motivation and inspiration coming from Ardere's speech and he could the emotion coming from him. As someone who faced the Daemons, he was aware that training the future of the Clover Kingdom was a good idea. Charles followed him with the rest of the group to a nearby lava river were the heat incoming from the river was able to be felt. He took a closer look and he realized it was not only lava, but they were different types of beasts in it which made it more dangerous than your average river of lava even though it was already dangerous as it was. The Captain of the Crimson Lions seemed to acknowledge the people here as potential and capable candidates though that never crossed the Black Bull's mind.
Ardere began to explain to them about how the place before them used to a palace. By Kings that sought to rule over dragons. The word dragons piqued his interest for a moment. He spoke about them as if they were real. There are legends out there that suggest the existence of dragons, but that hasn't been proven. Though, by the way, he spoke, it made them seem like they actually existed and even got the chance to see one, otherwise how will he know? Nonetheless, the Magic Knight Captain carried on with his explanation and for the first part, they will have to get past the broken bridge and that's where the lava river was located. The silver mage took a moment at the methods of transportation the others were taken. It seemed like the person who was the copy mage summoned water golems which were a good decision, especially in their current environment. The two Green Mantises got on the golems to get past the bridge. He took a look around and it seemed like it was just him and another guy. "Yo, do you have a way to go around there?" He looked at Elliot who had the appearance of a male so this made him think the person he was talking to was indeed a guy. Charles's grimoire floated beside him as his hand pointed towards the ground. "Silver Magic: Silver Owl." A silver owl will appear before him that was big enough for him and two other people to get on."...If you don't have any other you should get on." He spoke lazily as he got on top of the owl. If it was him he will say yes, flying was safer and it was something the Captain Ardere did. Though unlike others he didn't seem to have a lot of interest in impressing the Captain.
The owl will later begin flying depending if Elliot accepted or decline the request it will start its course after the black bull got a reply. Flying made things easier compared to the ones on the ground. A flying transportation spell was fitting for someone as lazy as Charles. It made it easier to travel long distances in the least amount of time.

Others would speak up about things before Ardere began speaking to them again. He mentioned that they were all here due to their potential, but Elliot was just a silver grimoire holder and she was sure that if she truly had such great potential she would have at least been given a gold grimoire. Of course, the confused girl still did not understand that the grimoire itself was not the end of such things. Even the weakest grimoire could have a powerful magic knight behind it if they trained properly. The Crimson Lion leader would eventually lead them to a bubbling river of lava before speaking to them once more. He would go on to talk about this place once being part of a palace, one ruled by kings that desired to lord over others with draconic power. Now it was all just lava and rock, a clear display of their failure, and the dragons were supposedly mostly legend now.
The leader of this training exercise would transform with some spelll of his own, taking on traits of a dragon before challenging them all to a test before he would fly up into the air. With no one really knowing what they thought was a strange boy in their midst, Elliot would not really expect anyone to offer he help directly. This turned out to be the case, though one or two did general offers all around, and because of this she would simply do an attempt of her own. A couple mumbles under her breath would cause a dark grey ash to billow our from her grimoire and attach themselves to her shoulder blades in the form of a pair of wings. It was unpracticed, and looked quite like fallen angel wings that leaked dark ash rather than black feathers, but with a few flaps she would soon be moving through the air much faster than she could normally run. It felt awkward, not using arms or legs, and for a moment she would falter and almost crash into the lava before the wings disappated on her and caused her to roll onto one of the pieces of the broken bridge that were scattered within the lava. She would nearly roll off the edge before she remade the wings and brought herself back up into the air.
Landing on the other side would come with a relieved breath alongside the wings being removed. From now on she would truly test and learn new spells while out somewhere safe, somewhere where failure wouldn't be noticed nor dangerous for herself. It would be much preferred to not get injured enough here to require assistance, it would be hard to keep her gender a secret if that happened. Another deep breath to calm down would be made as she awaited everyone to gather back up so that Ardere Kasai could tell them what they were supposed to be doing next.

[attr="class","ardereescroll"]A chuckle managed to escape Ardere's maw. They certainly were an interesting bunch. The one that almost grabbed onto his feet prompted a strange look from the Crimson Lion. Nice try there. Points for effort! He called out to the young woman known as Fuu. She was trying her best, that much was certain. Even a mage such as the Crimson King had to admit she had a lot of tenacity. Why wasn't she a Crimson Lion? Then he remembered, she was a Green Mantis. Well that tracks. He muttered to himself. Baron was one hell of a Captain, one of the few left from the old days. Actually, the Lion kind of wanted to spar that man. His blood magic even managed to put Artemis on edge, from what he had through the grape vine. And she was one hell of a water mage. [break][break] Looking back down, he scoffed a bit jokingly. The Imitation mage certainly was willful. Perhaps she would earn one of his spells after all. He remembered her from the Magic Knight Exams. There was a certain prowess about her, though her aptitude for touching other's grimoires would most likely land her in hot water one of these days. Nonetheless, Ardere was intrigued enough to watch the events unfold. Slowly fluttering his wings, he landed over on the opposite side of the Obsidian bridge. One of them nearly made the fire mage jump, the young man known as Eliot. If he didn't recover quickly, the Captain was going to be required to flash over there. Fortunately they managed to recover, prompting the man to wipe sweat from his brow. Hovering there in his dragon form, he looked over to the group as they lined up. Good job everyone. To those of you who transported the others, I commend you. Kindness on the battlefield is not weakness. Remember that. But hell, you guys did even better than I expected! This is good. Looking back at the bridge, he smiled. They call that the Bridge of Giants. Which I am sure you will run into very soon. It may have some off as metaphorical, but he was not kidding. Fire Giants did in fact lurk here, even if they were rare. [break][break] Alright. Your next task is pretty simple. I want every single one of you to climb to the top of that mountain there. Pointing at the volcano that formed a massive chunk of the zone, it was at least 200 meters tall. A smirk formed on Ardere's lips again as he took to the air. Make it to the top and then we'll have your next test. Oh and whoever performed the best here today will be awarded a prize that is to be announced. Good luck! The Captain burst through the air at an intense speed towards the top of the mountain, laughing as he did. He was excited. They were all promising mages for sure, but he wondered if they would be able to master the spirit from the scroll he had in his side bag. That was the prize he intended to give after all, the one he earned in the far away desert. And once they reached the top, he had a friend he planned to introduce to them. [break][break] (Begin the ascent up the mountain. It will take you all 3 rounds of posting. During which time I will throw hazards and npc's at you. For you first post just describe the unbearable heat you are experiencing and how you plan on getting up the mountain. Solo. As a group, with spells or sheer strength. Tag me for questions!)

Valo kept his eyes on his squad mate Fuu, when she denied the free ride given to them by the green haired girl. He knew Fuu was the stubborn type, probably more stubborn than him which was rare. But she was tough and determined, so he was sure she would be able to get over the bridge in her own way. Aside from her Valo used the time to get a look at the others and how they faired, he never spent to much time with his own squad mates let own magic knights from different squads. He had only taken a series of missions with Fell who was in the Crimson Lions, but he hadn't seen or heard from his friend in some time he could only hope he was doing well.
As Valo noticed just what the knights were capable of, they each had a different way of crossing over the bridge some more difficult than others but they got past. Valo definitely took an easy ride getting on the water golem, but if he could reserve some mana for now he would do it. He watched Fuu's attempt at crossing the bridge, he tried to his best to hold back his laughter. After she failed to grab onto Ardere's boot he couldn't hold it in any longer and just started busting out with laughter. With all her extra effort she landed on the same water golem he was on. "Pffffttthahahaha Fuu why do all of that? When you could have just taken the free ride!" he started to mock the dwarf. Although he was laughing he did admire her tenacity, it reminded him of himself but Valo knew when to be tenacious and when to just go with the flow. This in his opinion was a glow with the flow kinda situation.
Eventually they would cross the bridge and come to a stop, Valo hopped off the water golem. Gave the mage that offered the ride a nod with thanks. "Appreciate the ride don't know what it was for. But it was helpful." he said to her before turning and seeing the last one arrive, the boy wasn't a magic knight like the others. Valo started to question why they were here in the first place, but if they were they had to be tough. Valo took notice to their effort and walked up the boy, "Hey nice effort out there. I'm not saying you need it, but if you want the help just let me know ok. Names Valo. I heard this place is real tough." he said to them before turning back towards Ardere.
He started giving them their next task, it was another get to his location point. But this time it was up a mountain a big one at that. He made his directions clear and to the point and even added saying their would be a prize in it for the person that performed the best. This would catch Valo's interest a little, but not much the way he saw it this wasn't a solo leave everyone else behind and go on your own kind of objective. The best way to get across that mountain was them working together, he only hoped the rest felt the same way. Valo took a breath wiped some swear off his forehead do to the intense heat, getting so hot he took off his mantle and tied it around his waist only wearing a sleeveless white top. The less layers he had on the better as the heat was beginning to get unbearable.
Before most of the group would start to go up, he started to speak out. "Hey...I think it's best we work together on this one. Getting up that mountain could be a task in itself but if we work as a team, it could probably lessen the stress of it all." he said hoping the group would listen, if they did he would continue just a bit more. "He didn't say we couldn't use spells, our transportation and golems. So I'm gonna assume we can, we can make what we need to start flying up. But instead of separating from each other we keep close, just in case a few us needs the support. How does that sound?" he would ask hoping to get genuine feedback and an answer. Maybe someone had a better idea, he would be all ears to listen to it.

After Charles made his way to the other side of the bridge without any problems. The Captain of the Crimson Lions congratulated their efforts. Apparently making it better than expected, for the most part, the Black Bull he did not feel like he did anything special. His main issue was the unbearable heat in the place, he couldn't stop sweating and could use some water and a cool place to relax. That's what he desired the most at the time. Ardere also mentioned the bridge was called 'The Bridge of Giants' and said they were going to encounter them soon. He didn't know if encountering right now was a good or bad thing, he could only imagine they were some giants made out of fire or something like that taking into consideration the nature of the place he was at.
As the Crimson King pointed up the mountain that was at least 200 meters tall or more. That was the mountain he had to climb, he said climb and not fly which will make things difficult for him. "...Climbing? What a pain in the ass..." He said with a lack of motivation. Certainly getting all the way up will be difficult especially with the unbearable heat that made it even harder to climb all the way up there. Before Ardere departed he mentioned something that will spike the motivation in the Black Bull's mentality. A prize? Unaware of what it exactly was, maybe the prize will be some good food and cold water? Money? Those were the things that came to his mind, having some very cold water and good food right will be nice to have. Perhaps, if he performed good enough he will get that.
Charles then saw Ardere burst through the air at a high speed, probably making his way to the top to watch them. Though, Charles no interest in anything in general. He could use some cold water to refresh himself. The Black Bull was lazy, but that was mainly because he found no purpose nor any type of motivation in doing things. A reward that was worth the effort is enough for him to try and actually put effort into things. It seemed like Ardere managed to grasp a bit of motivation into him. Wiping the sweat out of his forehead the silver mage looked up at the mountain in front of him and started to think of multiple ways to climb up. He began to analyze the situation and the possibilities...
One of the first things that came to his mind was to use his swords as a way to climb up without touching the rocks which will probably be hot if he directly touched them it will also give him a better grip when climbing the mountain, but he remembered this was an attack spell that was quite versatile unlike the rest of his spells. Even though the decision to use his spell Silver Swords of Lighting will be a good one it will leave him vulnerable as the rest of his spells weren't as versatile as that one. He will be better off using them as a defense mechanism in the event monsters around the area tried to attack him. Ardere previously mentioned they were monsters and they will encounter them sooner or later. The heat still being an issue, he knew he will take quite some time to get up there because the heat made it harder.
As he was in his own thoughts Valo presented himself to them, but Charles wasn't paying attention at the start as he was too busy looking at the mountain and thinking. Afterward, he snapped back to reality. He heard Valo talk about they will be able to use transportation spells and golems. "He said to climb it, so it's obvious using transportation spells to get up there is out of the equation. The entire point is to make us climb up there without any sort of spells that allow us to fly otherwise, he wouldn't have told us to climb knowing we have the ability to fly just like he does." He replied with a tired and lazy tone, the heat just added more into that. Sure, he had some motivation to go up there because he hoped to get some water and food exchange if that's what the prize Ardere mentioned. The Captain of the Crimson Lions didn't look like the type of guy who will make things easy for them. Even if he wanted to fly all the way up it was obvious it will be a waste of time since Ardere called this a test. Whatever it was, he was probably trying to test their sheer power, determination, intelligence, or whatever the Crimson Lions were known for.
The Black Bull pointed to the mountain to the top of the mountain with his index finger and later turning the rest of the people. "Hey you the Miss Copy Mage, those golems can fly right? I saw them being capable of flight before. Anyway, even though we can't fly up there with the transportation spells or those golems. You can still have them fly alongside you while you climb. If so then you can have them establish a perimeter around us while we climb to keep us safe from any incoming monsters. Since Captain Ardere already said that we will encounter monsters anytime soon. I will rather not test my luck and get shot down by one of those things, assuming they can fly. You can have them shield us from any incoming attacks or attack back if they can. You the Green Mantis guy, I'm not sure what type of magic you use, but if you have anything that can help us out like Golems capable of flight or ranged magic then than will help as well." Charles will later turn to the person who will prefer not to talk to any other day of his life, but for the sake of making things easier, he will have to do it. "Fuu, I know you use Earth Magic, though I haven't bothered myself to look into it. Anyway, using your magic you can reinforce your body and use your earth magic to try and create a better path for us to get on top of the mountain. Meanwhile, I'll be using my Silver Magic to take down any possible monsters that may try to attack us and destroy the golems since they will be acting as our main line of defense." Charles explained what he came up with, this was an efficient plan and had a high chance of making their path to the top of the mountain easier. He wasn't aware of the full extent of Elliot's and Valo's magic abilities. He has met Fuu in the past and knew how she fought. Azure was self-explanatory and she had those water golems that were capable of flying but was unaware of any other spell she could've copied that could be useful. The silver mage was basing himself off of what he could get and come up with.
"Anyway, that's what I could up within such a short time, but I guess it makes the job easier. This is probably the most viable option at the moment. Unless you want to test your chances alone against this place." Valo seemed to be more willing to work together as he was who offered if they should team up and climb up. Azure helped out the Green Mantises cross the bridge so that probably meant she will be more willing to cooperate. He had his doubts about Fuu, being well aware of how prideful she was she will probably take it as an insult will rather not listen to him because he was a Black Bull. He was unsure about Elliot, but Valo did offer him help. Working together will make things easier for him and for the rest as well, he will have fewer worries and have to put less effort if he works with them, which was something Charles will always look forward to.
