Hraban appears as a little over one foot tall sprite, raven-colored wild hair, with feathers and a headdress that covers 50% of his head as well as his back, all in all the piece covers various areas of the spirit’s body to add to its ancient lineage. Bandages and minimal, ceremonial looking clothing adorn the body of the spirit. While the spirit appears to be almost like a teenager, it is all an act as it keeps the appearance that is easily workable with the various races of the world. Originally conceived as a raven spirit it retains the feathers of the old out of habit even with the ability to change its general body shape and mass like other spirits. The tan skin of the spirit suggests that it lives or prefers places that allow plenty of sun.

Hraban is a free spirit and is drawn in by the shiny things or...just whatever has its attention for a moment. The raven haired spirit of shadows was used to running as a solo act for years until it was locked away inside of the desert treasury through means of a dirt trick played on him by a human, unearthed after a grueling battle and given away as a prize Hraban made himself known to Zaven Blake...the spirit is flirtatious and is always looking for the next big thing to come about...Hraban became entranced by Zaven’s demeanor and carefree lifestyle, but was also drawn to Zaven’s wealth of knowledge and getting the captain of the Golden Dawn to teach it how to act like just another member of his apparent squad.

The meeting between Hraban and Zaven Blake was one of pure circumstance as the spirit had locked itself away in a scroll inside of the pocket of the Duster that Zaven had chosen as his prize for fighting a dragon. Once back at the Golden Dawn headquarters he found the secret pocket and pulled the scroll out just to be astounded as he summoned the rambunctious yet inquisitive shadow spirit. Seeing as Hraban was unsuccessful at speaking Zaven taught the spirit to communicate using a mixture of sign language and expressions to get what the spirit needed. Since then the two have been constant traveling companions.
