[attr="class","ardereescroll"]I'm here to check in. Ardere spoke in a softy yet commanding voice. The woman behind the counter at the Dragonfly Inn began to check her logbooks for a moment. She was small and frail, with curly blonde hair that ran down past her shoulders--the kind one put a lot of work into. Name, sir? But when she looked up to see the hulking Captain standing before her, her calm demeanor instantly changed into a frantic once. Nearly leaping out of her chair, the woman grabbed her notepad and stepped out from behind the counter with a swiftness Ardere expected from a light mage. Yes of course, Captain Kasai. We've got the rooms ready for you. The Dragonfly Inn is at your service. The spas are open until sunset and the hot springs are at your disposal day and night. The bar also stays open well into the night if you and the others wish to grab a meal or something to drink. Handing him a set of jingling brass keys that weighed less than a paperweight, she gave a bow to the man. Thank you. Just let the others know I'll be meeting them in the bar. She nodded with a smile, and he returned the expression. Many commoners found themselves nervous around the Crimson King, but status was nothing he concerned himself with at a time like this. He was on vacation now after all. [break][break] The Dragonfly Inn. Towering five floors on the outskirts of Sosshi, the hotspot for tourists holds no bars when it comes to service. In the dead of winter with snow on the ground in many places, it's the perfect place for the Crimson Lion squad to come on vacation. They'd only be here a few days, but it was some nice relaxation to enjoy. Ardere invited anyone who was not currently out on missions or neck deep in training. They were to meet him here and talk to the receptionist. That was the extent of his instructions. Those who knew nothing about the Inn would have no idea the activities he had planned for them--most importantly the hot springs. [break][break] Walking through the halls, it reminded him a bit of Hino Country. The entire Inn was themed like his homeland in many ways, with sets of armor and tapestries all along the walls. He felt the heat from the hot springs as he wandered towards their rooms. The Captain took it upon himself to book out an entire wing on the top floor. This way they would have plenty of room and the view was impeccable. This high in the mountains even the Forsaken Region's scenery could be enjoyed. Sosshi was the closest to the Volcano Grand Magic Zone, hence where the hot springs came from. It was also on a precarious spot in terms of the border between regions. This place was perfect. [break][break] Now he awaited Lydia's arrival, as she'd likely be in charge of the ladies while he was in charge of the men. Once he entered the room, Ardere sat his bags down next to the cold storage container. There was a fully furnished living room set inside the room with a well stocked mini bar inside. Perfect. Taking it upon himself to pour some caramel colored whiskey into a perfectly carved rocks glass, the Captain stepped out to the balcony. Wisps of snow fell to the ground outside the Inn as the Kingdom was painted with white and blue. He could see beyond the mountains where the snow began to melt, but beyond that was nothing. Ardere sipped from his whiskey as he stood there in his normal outerwear with no Crimson Lion cape or armor on, just clothes and a nice red jacket to keep himself warm. Exhaling, he could see his own breath as his amber eyes were fixed onto the mountains. This was perfect.
[attr="class","forresttabsscroll"] The cold didn’t bother him so much. Perhaps it was because he tended to run hot. He breathed out, watching clouds of vapor exit his breathing. [break][break] “Chi… Chiri!” [break][break] Though not everyone seemed to enjoy the weather. Snowflakes continued to fall from the grey-white sky and the poor little wood spirit was huddled near Forrest’s foot as the Lion stood outside the intended hotel that the Captain himself had booked for the winter. [break][break] “C’mere you. Can’t handle a little cold huh?” Forrest knelt down, quickly picking up Stump into his arms. He opened his jacket, allowing the wood sprite to tuck into his chest. The little spirit stopped shivering just a little, letting out a sigh of relief as it leeched off its Master’s body heat. [break][break] “Cute…” Forrest couldn’t help but think because stump was rather endearing sometimes, when it wasn’t annoying the wood mage to no end. Forrest looked at the towering building, thinking to himself that the Captain of the Crimson Lion, Ardere Kasai, certainly didn’t skimp out when it came to spending money for a little vacation. [break][break] [break][break] When he reached the room, complete with private mini-bar and extravagantly furnished other means. He took a moment to admire the foreign style decor that the hotel based itself on. It was after Ardere’s family’s homeland, and Forrest wondered if there ever would be a time he would come to see it for himself some day. Some genuine imitation, however, seemed just as well for the moment. Stump floated out from under his coat, immediately taking to warming itself by the open fire. [break][break] For the moment, Forrest had to wonder what the wood spirit thought about burning wood, being made the element anyway, but all the wisp cared about was warming himself. [break][break]
The wood mage had already handed off his bags to the bell services, thankfully he traveled light. And then, he went to meet the awaiting Captain on the balcony. [break][break] Forrest didn’t step out, instead standing at the open door and leaning against the frame. He wore a thick enough coat and locks of his golden hair casually fell into his eyes. [break][break] “Surely booked ourselves a retreat.” He let out a small chuckle. “Good to see you have some time to relax, all of us. Goodness knows we always need it.”

[attr="class","florencetext"] It was a strange time for the crimson lions but luckily for Lydia it was a good strange. It seemed that the captain had actually managed to plan a surprise for the whole squad one that even managed to surprise the vice captain. The surprise in question was a few days of for those that weren't on missions and training currently. How long it would actually last Lydia didn't know personally as the captain didn't even tell her. In fact she didn't know anymore about this trip than the others of the squad did. Lydia had been to the Dragonfly inn after all it was a well known inn even if it wasn't in the noble region. Seeing as it was an inn known for being heavily Hino country inspired Lydia had actually brought an outfit to fit the theme the last time she had visited. [break][break] The outfit in question was a red and purple kimono that was embroidered with flora on the top and the sleeves. The trim itself was golden. She also had her signature white gloves and finally there was a black sash that kept the whole outfit together. Her hair was braided like normal however the bow was different instead of the normal red the new bow was purple and was adore with a purple flower. Once the vice captain finished getting ready she would make her way to the inn which didn't take long. The attendant at the desk would greet Lydia before giving the vice captain her own set of keys for the area that the ladies would be staying as it only made since that she would be in charge of the females of the squad not that there was many of them. Lydia stop by there room to drop off her bags that had everything she needed for the next few days. [break][break] She would then leave a note for the only women of the squad in the off chance they didn't get told where to meet the captain. As she arrived it seemed she wasn't the first lion to arrive after the captain she would give the blonde haired mage a smile. It's nice to see that you could make it Forrest. After the small greeting Lydia would step into walking to Ard who had already started drinking himself. The vice captain would place a hand on the taller man's shoulder. So you managed to do this all yourself eh? It's nice I'm sure the squad could use the break I just hope you didn't spend too much of the squads funds on this. The glass mage of course knew that he wouldn't have done something like that in fact she wouldn't have been surprised if he had used his own funds for this little vacation.

Ozma was dressed a bit more warmly then most as he entered the inn, he was in his normal pants and boots but he had on a sleeveless shirt under his jacket that he wore along with his mantle, stepping into the inn he gently shook his head and shoulders a bit to get rid of any snow clinging to him before he used one hand to fix his hair before he questioned the girl at the front desk about where his captain was. Despite wanting to train Ozma was rather grateful for this chance to unwind and relax which he needed after the encounter he had with his sister Hinota and her captain. Ozma was normally level headed but he had blown up at the captain and he had to suck up his pride and apologize to keep his connection with his sister, after dealing with that he needed to get rid of his stress. Leaving his bags for the bell hop to take care of the mute mage went to find his captain.
As he headed out to the balcony Ozma saw his captain already in being greeted by another squad member and he walked over before he approached and gently tapped his captain on the shoulder before he would bow respectfully and then would pull out his paint brush and started to paint words. “Thank you for the invitation Captain I look forward to a little R and R while we are here” he wrote before he saw the vice captain of the Crimson Lions and he bowed to her as well. “its good to see you again Vice Captain I don’t think we have had much of a chance to interact at all” he wrote in the air with his paint. While his family had history with the Crimson Lions Ozma didn’t know everyone and he had some difficulty due to being mute.
Viera took a deep breath, and slowly exhaled, the cold air around her seemingly being warmed by her breath as it looked like a wave of steam. "So this is Sosshi~" Viera said before flinching a bit, some snow landing on top of nose, she wasn't too used to snow and the cold so the sudden cold-wet sensation surprised her a bit but she was getting used to it. Viera gaze shifted to the building in front of her, "Dragonfly Inn" Although she herself couldn't remember her trips to Sosshi as she was young, she did remember the stories her father told of his latest travels, the Inn known for it's bar as well as it's hot spring vibe despite being in the common region.
Although she did want to go to the Inn and experience the hotsprings for the very first time as a Magic Knight she knew she hadn’t done much to deserve that type of relaxation. No, more so to relax she was going because this provided her a chance to meet a lot of her seniors for the first time. Her father had very close networks, and that was because some of them were his fellow magic knight members, Viera wanted to make strong connections with her squad as well, she was going to put her life in their hands and vice versa so putting a name to a face was her top priority.
But,,But, she needed to draw immediately first! Now that she was going to be putting her noble responsibilities partially to the side she no longer had to worry about not being able to draw as frequently as she liked, her eye for the beauty around her made her need to draw almost impulsively. And the Dragonfly Inn? Well she needed to draw it. Her hand reached into the folds of her blue scarf, pulling out a writing brush and a small capsule of blank ink, Viera started to draw the beauty that was the Dragonfly Inn, Viera creating small black dots that was acting like the snow, then the actual five story building of the Inn, her brush pressing lightly against her drawing notebook to create a shade representing the light reflecting outwards from the building. Memory captured!
Closing her drawing notebook and putting it back in her satchel and the writers brush and ink back in her scarf she proceeded to walk inside the building,in addition to her satchel she had some extra pair of clothes that she had purchased in the commoners region stuffed in bag that was strapped to her back, although at the moment she was wearing her families armor and her squad’s magic mental. Stepping up to the receptionist Viera didn’t really know what to say, as far as she knew she just showed up? “Um. I’m Viera Dares, I’m a Crimson Lion squad member, have you seen my Captain or seniors around here yet?” Without so much as a glance the receptionist pointed towards a flight of stairs leading upwards, “Top floor, the whole top floor is your squad’s..” Viera didn’t believe what she was hearing for a moment, “Oh..” now that she thought about it the squad captain was a noble right? Guess she shouldn’t be to surprised..
Walking up the flight of stairs to the top floor she found herself in a hall covered with armor and the likes, more than that she heard voices, putting her bags down in the hallway she walked towards the voices eventually reaching the balcony, a whole lot of Crimson Lions and she was basically a cub. Stepping out of the balcony Viera urge to draw the beautiful scene of her squad members drinking and talking amongst themselves as the winter snow fell around them, oh but she had to introduce herself. “Hello everyone~ Nice to finally meet you all, I’m Viera Dares. Hey~ Hey~ Can I draw you all? This is such an amazing scene~” She was asking them but she was already pulling out her signature writing brush and her capsule of black ink, if nobody stopped her she would proceed to pull out her notebook too and start drawing,

It has been a while since Clive last visited Sosshi, it wasn't somewhere he went often, but he enjoyed the town. A place where the Headquarters of the Black Bulls were located. Captain Ardere, his cousin told everyone the Crimson Lions would be having some vacations in a place called the Dragonfly Inn, which was located in the outskirts of Sosshi. After a rough year of hard-work, some relaxing didn't do anyone some bad, especially during these times of festivities and celebration. Retaking Kikka took some pressure off from the Magic Knights and allowed them to relax.
Arriving at the entrance of the Inn and entering the lobby in front of the receptionist. The auburn-haired young man gave a soft smile upon walking to the receptionist. Despite his tall and muscular physique, Clive was quite happy to have some vacations. It wasn't every day he got to see so many Lions in a single place and these were one of those rare occasions where the time presented itself. A time for them to relax and talk with each other, maybe even catch up with what everything that has happened in the last few months. "Clive Kasai, from the Crimson Lions." Giving his name to the receptionist she quickly told him where the Crimson Lions were staying at. "Thank you." He thanked the receptionist before heading towards the room the rest of the squad was there.
Reaching the room and eventually opening the door. The place was big and even included a small mini-bar, surely Ardere spent a lot of money on the vacations for the Lions. The place was amazing, even for a place that was located in the Forsaken Region it was quite luxurious. "Hello everyone! It's nice seeing a lot of people here, it's been a while." Clive greeted everyone inside the room. "This place looks amazing." He wondered if anyone else was going to arrive, he even recognized Viera who he met in the forest while he was training just a few days ago. It was nice to know that she had joined in as well. "It's good to see you Captain Ardere and Vice-Captain Lydia. I hope you two have been doing well." Naturally, Clive showed respect and admiration for his two superiors who were hard-workers and even fought in dangerous battles. He was aware that the two took part in the liberation of Kikka that had fallen under the hands of the Daemons. This made him proud to be a member of the Crimson Lions and serve under very two capable people. The two were normally very busy, out of everyone he believed the two deserved this the most. Not everyone had the ability to fight the Daemons, not even himself, at least not yet.

[attr="class","ardereescroll"]The Lions began to trickle in one by one as the Captain turned to face the inside of the room. First to arrive was someone dear to his heart; Forrest. Forrest! Good to see you. Running over to the frail blonde man, he swiftly scooped him up into a tight hug. Nearly squishing the life out of him, he relinquished the wood mage from the affectionate prison of his hold and went to greet the next to arrive; Lydia. Welcome, lightspeed goddess. I managed to snag us a suite. She mentioned using the squad funds, but truthfully Ardere had paid for all of this out of pocket. His lions deserved it after all. None to worry. I wouldn't burden our bank account with this. Giving a side hug to the young woman, he also gave a nod. It was nice to enjoy some relaxation, with his two closest friends in the room especially. [break][break] Ozma! It's been a bit. Happy you made it out. Grab a drink or a snack if you'd like. We've got this whole floor to ourselves. He was truly happy now, the most he'd been in a long time. With the Kingdom in such a state of dread, it was nice for them to get some time off. The Holiday Balls/Galas were nice, but this was different--more personal. And then while lost in a state of joy, an unfamiliar face entered. The name of course was quite familiar, as he kept up with his squad roster. Now he finally got to meet the young lady known as Viera. Good to finally meet you, Viera. Welcome to our vacation. You're lucky enough to have your first impression here and not during grueling squad drills. Chuckling to himself, he remembered his first day at the squad. Brutal was one way to describe it. Uhh--yeah. Let's do it. I'd love a good drawing of us. [break][break] Just as he was going to pose for the drawing, a very familiar Ki entered the Inn. This one brought some fire into his blood. Clive. For a moment he gave his cousin a scowl while he was addressed as Captain formally. Then he dove towards the young Kasai and picked him up into an embrace. Come here you little shit. It's good to see ya. Fortunately for you, we're on vacation so don't worry about the formalities, cousin. Then he whispered in their native tongue from Hino Country, which even Clive as third generation would understand. It's good to be with family. He whispered in the tongue none of the others would likely comprehend. Then he pulled his younger cousin back to the group. Now. Let's do this picture and then we can get ready for dinner. They're setting up a table for us in the restaurant downstairs and I pre-paid for bar drinks. Pulling Forrest and Clive to his right and left, the Crimson King gave the brightest smile he had given in years. Today was for family, those here physically and those here in spirit. It was for all the Lions.

Now he thought about it after Kikka fell back into Clover control he had been bed-bound sick almost as if he was in a coma for a good while with the same unknown illness that had seemingly plagued him when everything had begun all those months ago. When he awoke, like last time his sister had been there resting in a chair near his bed which confused him to no end as he didn't really know what had happened or how much time had passed. Quietly he had moved from his bed and dressed before leaving without a word, he knew it would bite him in the ass later but it almost felt like he was being pulled towards something and so wanted to investigate it quietly. He had ended up within a harsh part of the fringe so he concluded it was either between Spade and Clover or Diamond and Clover due to war with the latter and the formers infamy of cruelty for even their own people. He searched for whatever was pulling him there but found nothing and it frustrated him to no end but it was then he saw it, something that felt familiar almost warming to him but at the same time filled him with dread, disgust and self-loathing yet at the same time he didn't understand why nor did he truly understand what he was seeing but knew it had to be reported as soon as possible.
Even in the barren wasteland of the fringe, he had received the invitation to the famous dragonfly inn within the town of Sosshi but he truly didn't know if he would be going as he had been more off than usual since the daemons attacks on the three towns and it had only gotten worse when Kikka had been brought under the daemon dominion for those long gruelling two months. He normally was able to mask things that were bothering him but the first slip of his mask had happened at the spirit ball which he had been forced to attend due to his families status and his rank within the family. As much as it bothered him to be in such social situations he was brought up with a strict mentality for duty for not only his kingdom but for his family by his older sister. She was possibly the only person in the entirety of existence that he would willingly interact with. The problem was he didn't exactly understand if it was because she was the head of the family, he genuinely enjoyed her company or if it was because she saved him when he had been so cruelly disregarded all those years ago and in honesty, he didn't put too much thought into it as he felt like he may not like the answer he came up with.
Turning and leaving what he had observed behind he moved quickly towards the town although it would take him a while if he was to travel by foot, it was times like these he wished he had his sisters speed but he wasn't as blessed. He had however managed to get to a small village where the Golden Dawn mage Elenor had been at the time doing a job to tending to bandits that had made off with the stores that they had from the harvest. After a little back and forth she agreed to give him passage to Sosshi and opened a portal for him which he thankfully took and walked through and ended just outside of where the Crimson Lions were meeting for time off. With a deep sigh, he resigned himself to his fate and walked in looking less than his best but that was to be expected for where he had been over the last few weeks. He just showed his invitation to the receptionist but then his mantle would have been a dead giveaway to which squad he belonged to. The woman ushered someone over and he just followed the man to where everyone was. Upon entering the room he saw his sister, his captain and a few others he was already getting the feeling this was a bad idea but remained where he was for a long second before moving towards Lydia and Ard. His left hand went to his chest while his right was slightly away from it his hand flat and turned towards them "Greetings Captain, Vice-captain..." he began his voice was stoic but his sister would know there wasn't something quite right "I apologise for my current appearance and tardiness I was dealing with... other matters." he said standing straight it was almost as if he wasn't fully there as he spoke to them
[attr="class","forresttabsscroll"] Forrest! Good to see you. [break][break] Hugging. [break][break] Well, he supposed he was just going to have to get used to it. That and the fact that Ardere simply was the hugging type. He was only barely able to brace himself for the Captain’s grip, but the embrace was a welcome one. He returned it with a soft pat on the other man’s back. [break][break] Of course, they were not the only Lions there. It was a vacation meant for the whole squad after all. “I shall say the same, Vice-Captain Lydia.” Forrest nodded, respectful in greeting to the Lionness. [break][break] Other Lions began filling the room, though not all of them were faces that Forrest was inherently familiar with. Perhaps he had only seen them around the base and the like. There was Ozma, Viera, and Clive, a relative of Ardere himself. Forrest acknowledged all with a simple nod of his head as they entered. And then, he let out a small chuckle at the Vice-Captain’s concern of their Crimson Leader’s apparent spending habits. [break][break] Greetings were easily exchanged among them, all to which Forrest quietly acknowledged. He wasn’t one for many words, but a simple smile and casual glance was all that was needed from him. Stump had returned to floating by his side, the wood wisp seemed most comfortable floating around its master after all. [break][break] Of course, then, Forrest was dragged into a ‘group portrait’ by the head Lion himself. The bear-arm of a hug came back again, but at least it was only by one arm instead of both. Forrest allowed himself a quick, if not somewhat embarrassed smile, but it was what made Ardere happy, this whole idea of spending time, bonding with each other was important to him. So, Forrest decided that it was important for him as well. [break][break] “Chiri!” Stump also floated just about head level, apparently wanting in on the picture as well.
There was another who soon made their appearance among them, a Ravencrest, Lydia’s noble family. While unfamiliar with the more personal nature of Lydia’s clan, Hania was a Crimson Lion as well. The young man seemed troubled in a different sense, Forrest wasn’t quite sure if there was something he could’ve done about it. Regardless, he did give a glance toward Lydia, feeling as if she was better equipped to inquire about Hania’s rather distant state. [break][break] They all were among friends here, such blues shouldn’t have had a reason to stay for long.

[attr="class","florencetext"] Forrest would greet Lydia back and of course if was a formal greeting as if it was a squad meeting of training instead of a vacation. You can just called me Lydia after all we're here to relax there's no need to be so formal. The next to greet her was of course the captain himself and Ards was very much not a formal greeting and most likely a play on the title given to her by the kingdom. I wouldn't go that far after all I may be fast but it's not fast enough to claim goddess status. The glass mage wasn't surprised at all when the captain confirmed he had used his own money to pay for this trip. I figured you'd say that after all you didn't ask me to handle the paperwork. This was of course a joking jab at the captains lack of doing his own paperwork. [break][break] I'd offer to split the cost with you after all its not like my family is hurting for money but I know how stubborn you can be with matters like this one. It was then that another lion would show up and while Lydia had never met him personally just like the captain she knew the names of all the lions. Yeah I don't get to meet the new members as much as I'd like my duties as vice captain keep me busy most of the time. However it's nice to finally meet you Ozma. It seemed that lions just kept showing up one after another as a newer lion and one of the few female members showed up next. She of course gave a standard greeting however it seemed that she then wanted to drawl a picture of them. However it seemed that if the younger women wanted to get another picture she would have to wait a little longer as more lions were still showing up the next one being Clive which was a cousin to the captain who also gave a formal greeting which was making Lydia think that Ard had forgotten to mention that this was a vacation. [break][break] The captain himself would then speak about how they had a little time to relax before the dinner downstairs was ready. It was then that none other than Lydia's younger brother Hania would show up greeting Lydia and Ardere. The vice captain has a worried look on her face for a moment but it would quickly switch to one of anger as the ice mage spoke as if nothing out of the ordinary had happened or even making mention of why he just vanished when he woke up while Lydia was asleep by his bed side. The vice captain would then step forward and slapped the younger Ravencrest across the face. It had been many years since Hania had actually been stuck by Lydia unrelated to training showing just how mad she was. You go into a coma for days in which I waited by your side to wake up only for you to vanish for weeks without even a word while I'm asleep and sorry I'm late that's is all you have to say?! The glass mage would then take a deep breath pulling her brother in for a hug while whispering in his ear. I expect you to explain yourself later. For now it seems we are getting a picture of the sqaud drawn so stand next to me. The vice captain would then pull away before moving beside Forrest.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum. Ozma smiled slightly at the greeting that his captain gave him, though once he saw him turn and hug another member the squad the mute mage discreetly took a step back in order to avoid being hugged next since his family was not the most keen on physical contact like that most of the time.as he saw more people arrive he was happy to know that it was a good number of them that would be attending this, as he saw one of the new members get excited to see them Viera if Ozma heard correctly and then asked if she could draw he blinked for a moment before nodding and standing with the rest of the squad. As he stood he wondered how his sister Hinota was doing however that thought dropped fast as he remembered what had happened the last time he had encountered her and her captain. The thought still angered him but he pushed that down since he was here to relax not rage.
Glancing over to Hania the paint mage held back a wince as he saw the vice captain smack him before giving him a hug which confused Ozma to no end but he decided it wasent his problem. As he turned his gaze over to Viera he made another message with paint. “after your done I can take a look and give some feed back on the drawing if you wish miss” he wrote as he felt his stomach rumble at the prospect of dinner and something to drink. While he didn’t partake of alcohol often he didn’t mind it when it was for celebrating or relaxing such as now. The mute mage could only wonder what was on the menu for dinner but for now he would have to wait since it would be rude to push for dinner early.
Just as she walked through the door to the balcony she immediately was in love with the scenery around the small group of her squad members and the captain and vice-captain she hadn't meant face to face with yet, as she asked if she could draw them a big ass man would walk up to her, holy crap this man was just a mountain of well..man. "Haha thanks, but i'll be sure to make the best impression I can when that time comes as well. I won't disappoint the pride of the Crimson lions!" Viera said to who she had to assume was the captain, hell if this guy wasn't she hate to see how big the real captain was, and hell he said yes to her drawing so she was really liking the idea of this guy being the captain.
Another member had walked in, the only one she had meant in person before this event. Clive was a noble and although he did fancy commoners or as Viera liked to call it, "less unfortune civilians " he still had all the matters that Viera herself had trained into her as noble, so he obviously greeted the captain which was the very one she was talking to and the vice captain, a women that was sitting not to far away, first. Thank god for Clive because she didn't know who the hell was who yet so having him point out the two she really needed to know the most was good saving. The captain grabbed Clive roughly, now that she thought about it they were cousins.. welp better not bother the cousin bonding experience.
Viera sat down, her legs crossed as she watched her squad members interact for a second, another one appeared and this one looked like the vice captain, a family member? Was he a Crimson Lion too? God Viera felt so loss with trying to remember all the faces but she knew once she drew them she would never forgot them. She would watch for a moment as the vice captain slapped the person who looked like her family and then hugged them? Geeze, they had to be siblings. A shadow caught her eye, she would look at a rather tall guy writing in something as he approached her, she hadn't noticed the guy much earlier other than his nod to her drawing request. Once he was finished she read the words he wrote and then looked him in the eye with a smile, "Sure, I love criticism. An artist that doesn't refine their skills grows as dull as their tool~ At least that's what my dad and grandpa use to say~"
Once things had settled down a bit Viera would stand up as she stood in front of the crowd of her seniors and peers, "You're free to move this isn't a stiff portrait~ just a drawing of everyone in their natural beauty." Viera would say as she took her writers brush out and dipped it in ink that she had been keeping in her scarf, she began to draw but every know and then she would look up to study the features of the one she was drawing.

Everyone started greeting each other as usual. It felt quite nice to have a chance and relax alongside his comrades. One of those very few times the Crimson Lions could get a bonding experience outside their normal duties as Magic Knights and do a rather more casual bonding. Ardere's greeting towards him more casual one, different from the occasion and aside from the fact that the two were Lions, they were also family. "Hey. It's been a while since we last saw each other. I'll drop them then, haha. I'm just a bit used to being formal whenever it involves my job." Clive agreed with dropping all formalities, they were going to relax, after all. The formalities normally came off from his politeness. He smiled and nodded, acknowledging Ardere's comment that it was good to be with family and he fully agreed. There was nothing better than being with your family, something that is quite hard to do during these difficult times.
He was once again pulled by his older cousin towards the group. Viera planned to draw the entire Crimson Lions that were inside the room. Which was quite nice on her part, but he knew that she also loved drawing so she'll probably enjoying everyone as well. Clive smiled and remained still to make it easier for her to draw him at least. He couldn't wait for the final result. Maybe once they're done with the picture he was going to ask how Hania was holding up after hearing from what happened to him. It seemed a bit serious to say the least, or so he believed by looking at Lydia's reaction. The Vice-Captain was worried about him so it was only a natural reaction, but he still felt the slap just by hearing it.

[attr="class","ardereescroll"]Ruffling his cousin's hair, he let out a deep breath. We can be formal back at the squad, but today we're all just family. It was good to have them all together, even if some were missing. Ardere knew that if the others could come, they would have. The kingdom was in a dire state in many ways but his Lions sought to remedy that. They were all worthy of the Crimson King's trust. He'd make it up to them, someday. [break][break] Hania entered the fray, and none to his surprise Lydia had an adverse reaction to this. He gave them their moment rather than stepping in. Family business was not something he sought to stick his nose in, especially when it involved the Lightspeed mage. After the interaction was over, he'd lean to the Ravencrest and mutter a few words. Good to see you, Hania. Despite his wrong-doing, the fire mage was glad to have him in the squad. The Ravencrests were a family not to be trifled with these days. They reminded him of how the Vermillions were years ago. That thought made him miss Emily. He always missed Silas, but the young woman had been his Vice Captain before Lydia and he had seen the strength in her. She wasn't conventionally strong, but the will was there. He could only hope that she found her way back some day. [break][break] Salamander burst from his body and appeared behind the group, wings sprouted out and heavy steam coming from his nose--he was in a good mood today. The red dragon was not often one for pictures or things of the like, but he could tell that the overgrown lizard needed a good vacation as well. Being locked away in that desert for so many years had done him no favors. Salamander might outlive him, but Ardere made sure to make this partnership one he'd never forget. Alright everyone, smile bright and stay still for our artist. [break][break] Allowing Viera time to finish her portrait, once it was done the Captain stretched his arms and groaned. I could go for a good meal. How about you, Salamander? The spirit nodded and exhaled steam from his dragonic nostrils. The two nodded and the former opened the sliding door. Everyone, take your time to get ready. Meet me in booth number three. If you get lost, just ask the concierges or one of the hosts. Exiting the room, alongside Salamander he headed down towards the ground floor where the restaurant was located. It was quite the extravagant place, statues of dragons and gods littered the grounds, with paintings and tapestries much like the rest of the building. Ardere could smell the plethora of different meats being cooked on the grills alongside fresh vegetables. The grills burst with flames that left a glimmer in his eyes. It reminded him of his father's home. The guests however were very distracted by the small dragon that was larger than a mastiff walking through their restaurant. Right this way, Captain Kasai. The Host said, instantly recognizing him. [break][break] Being taken to Booth number three, there was a massive table with plenty of seating. Bottles of sake and various alcohols littered the table. A rather large Crimson Lion tapestry hung in the back, done in the style of Hino Country art--specially commissioned for this evening. Thank you. It's perfect. As the host set the table, Ardere waited for his squad mates to join him. This was sure to be a night to remember.

He knew his sister would have been concerned about his disappearance and at first, she'd have likely have believed he was still on the estate grounds and just didn't want to wake her as he had the first time. He didn't want to think what went through her mind when his former nanny told her that he wasn't on the estate at all, perhaps she would have believed that he was only out on a quick errand and didn't want to disturb her. He knew, however, that as time went on and his reappearance never happened the worry would grow but then so would the inevitability of punishment when he did so. That was the thing though there was a pulling sensation that he didn't understand and the longer he tried to ignore it the worse it seemingly got, it was true he should have left his sister a note as was normal but this felt like it wouldn't wait like something was literally dragging him from his home to where he ended up. He really didn't like where he ended up. The Forsaken region was bad enough in his mind but he ended up within the heart of the fringe to the north of the kingdom.
Before he could even say another word his sister's worry and wrath came in a single slap to his cheek, he took it with no difference shown in his composure, he had expected something to happen. It had been the first time since he was eight that she had laid a hand on him outside of training, his eyes closed and he thanked whatever power that may be listening that his sister was at least not crying this time around. "I'm sorry Lydia, there was a pulling sensation." he whispered into her ear as he was hugged close by the older woman. "I tried to ignore it but I felt like I was being torn by the dragging feeling that I was experiencing." he explained pulling back, the stinging and throbbing of his cheek starting to ebb. Lydia had been the one who had cared for him since he was five almost six years old would know his mannerisms just as keenly as Hania did himself and so would know he wouldn't up and leave without a word for no reason.
He, after all, had never been whimsy even as a child, his way of thought had always been methodical and his actions always well thought out. He guessed it was why he was getting off so easy. He pulled away and looked at how he was currently dressed and the state of his clothing "Lydia, I hate my portrait being done as it is..." they both knew how getting him to agree to the family one was like pulling teeth "besides I am in no fit attire for it to happen so I will have to decline, it wouldn't be a good thing for the squad or our family for one of use to be documented in such a state. Don't you agree?" he said hoping that she would just agree instead of sending him off to get a change of clothing from a nearby store, he didn't think he'd be so lucky however so prepared for that eventuality. His eyes turned serious as he looked to his sister and his captain "I won't give a full report right now given the current environment but we have an issue within the fringe." he whispered so only the pair would be able to hear his hands clenching instantly his pale skin going stark white with how tight his hands were gripped.
He had no idea why he was pulled to that infernal place but what he had saw made his heart sink, he remembered being sick and the flashes with an intensity he hadn't ever felt before. He had still spent longer than he wanted to in that agonising pain to gather what information he could before the invitation had reached him bringing him back to civilization. "Amostia, now isn't the time to tell them..." he whispered his eyes closing feeling the fluttering wings and irritated screeches of the ice spirit he found himself bonded to "this is to relax and celebrate... I know it's hard for us but it doesn't give us right to take from them." he continued whispering, he knew when all the information was given he was likely going to get into trouble for that but for him, there was a time and place for such things to be discussed and this was neither.
