Valo Stark
"Don't need a reason to seek strength."
The Fringe. Home to mainly large landscapes of different terrain, and lots of history. All the history in this place intrigued Valo quite a bit. It was right next to the Diamond Kingdom outskirts the main place for a massive war. The young fire mage found himself looking intently at all the landscapes trying to spot signs of war and battle atop of his golem. He heard and read about the wars and battles that took place, but he rather see the history in person and it sure was a sight to see.
Valo was on his way to a new dungeon that appeared not to long ago, one in the Fringe and was way out the way for the capitol to keep an eye on. That meaning that many rogues and things alike had first access to this dungeon, and for the Capitol that was not acceptable. Rogues having first access to a dungeon did not sit well, so here he was as a magic knight traveling through the Fringe trying to find this mysterious new dungeon. But Valo was not alone he invited two friends of his to join him on this venture, Genesis the shadow assassin and Hans the dark mage. The trio knew each other well do to past events in Kikka, and it wasn't rare for them to come over to the Green Mantis base for training and catching up.
With Valo having to visit a new dungeon, he thought taking them would be a good training exercise. The only problem was, could they find it. Valo sat up straight on his golem rubbing his chin looking around, he was pretty sure he followed the proper directions. But truth be told directions and finding locations was never a strong suit of his. "Where is this darn place." he said out loud his face full of ponder. "Were not lost! It's just that...they said it would be around here...uh oh." he said looking up his jaw dropping. The trio would find a large dust storm heading straight towards them, it came out of nowhere and now it was much to late to try and escape it. "Brace yourselves!"
Valo covered his face with his free arm, trying to make sure no dust got in his eyes and mouth. He was doing his best to steer his golem in the proper directions but the strong winds and dust made that nearly impossible. He was being turned and tossed all over the place with no sense of control or direction. After a while he had no clue or idea where he was, he just wanted the storm to end. And eventually it did.
Valo opened his eyes to find himself on the ground face up, he sat up quickly and spat out some dust that got in his mouth. "Pfffffttttttuh. Freaking Dust Storm came outa no where. This place...looks amazing! Hans! Genesis!" he said his last few words with some excitement. He was right in front of the giant door that most likely was the beginning of the dungeon. He rose to his feet and dusted himself off, without even really looking he extended his right arm out with an open palm. His silver staff that was lodge into the ground not to far away flew towards him in a fast spin, he caught his weapon and wiped off any dust he found on it with his cloak.
He would turn his head back to hopefully find his two friends. "Looks like we found the place.Told you we weren't lost." he said in a joking manner with a sly grin on his face.

"When you spend so long trapped in darkness, you find that the darkness begins to stare back."
An area that Hans thought he'd never set foot into again.
The Fringe....
The dark mercenary had set foot in this area once before...It was as a child...and with his mother. They needed to cross this place to get from Diamond to Clover and it wasn't a great experience. They were tired, hungry...and afraid...They spent countless sleepless nights herein fear of being eaten by some sort of beast...or that the man that they were running from would find them one night, and drag them straight back into that hell that they worked so hard to get out of...
'M-mother, I fe-feel so....weak...'
'You will be alright, my little cub. H-here, get on my back...I will carry you the rest...of the way.'
Little echoes of the past haunted the merc's mind. He may be with Valo and Genesis...but his thoughts were elsewhere. Hans could remember every gentle word his mother said to try and comfort him...and every sickly cough that came in between. It was a miracle that the two were able to make it at all...even though the boy's mother did not live long enough afterward to see her "little cub" grow into the "fierce wolf" that he is today....
"Were not lost!"
It wasn't until the fire mage yelled out those first words that Hans would snap out of his little trance, a light gasp escaping his lips. He looked around briefly, trying to gather what was happening before remembering. Right...He was here to tackle another dungeon, but he wasn't accompanied by the usual two people he found himself doing dungeons with. Instead, he was here with two other mages that he has come to know over the months, Valo of the Green Mantises, and Genesis the shadow assassin. Two people which at first Hans only saw as acquaintances who shared a common goal related to Kikka, but as time went on and he continued to train with those two, Hans found himself growing to trust them, something that he rarely did these days. To him, these two mages were partners now...or perhaps a little more than that. They were...friends?
Valo continued to speak, and the dark merc was about to chime in to tell him that they were in fact lost...but Hans held his tongue after hearing that "uh oh". "Hm?" With an eyebrow raised, Hans looked over in the direction Valo was facing....and saw the incoming dust storm as well! Right...How could Hans have forgotten about the dust storms!? As the fire mage said told the others to brace themselves, Hans lowered his head a bit and placed his arm over his face as well. These dust storms were still as powerful as they were in the past...and just as dangerous. The merc nearly fell from the strength of the wind but managed to keep on his feet as he slowly walked forward, not able to see where he was going. Hopefully, the other two were still doing okay. He could still sense their mana, but he still wanted to make sure that they were physically alright.
Then the dust storm finally settled...and Hans started to cough out some of the dust that had made it into his mouth before rubbing his eyes. As his vision started to come back, the first thing Hans would be greeted by a giant tower...the one the trio had been looking for. How did they get here? With how tall the tower was, they would've at least seen it from further away, but it was almost as if it just appeared before them...or that they were transported here by that storm...?
The merc would then turn to see Valo sitting up...while trying to spit some of that sand from out of his mouth. The dark mage walked over to him and offered to help the guy all the way up with his hand, and would do the same for Gen if needed. "Sure. Remind me to never trust you with a map, Valo." the merc jested, but his tone remained neutral. The merc would then bring his attention back to the tower as he placed his hand on the hilt of his greatsword, Raven's Grasp, and started to unsheathe it.
"So...Dinosaurs huh?"

Moral of the story: Dust storms have a better sense of direction than Valo
The shadow mage was no stranger to the Fringe. It was a wasteland, a seemingly dead space among all the known kingdoms. That had made it a prime location to train herself, especially for her ki. It was far from any known civilization, so whenever she came to meditate, there was no fear of outsiders barging in and being taken advantage upon when she was in her vulnerable space of mind. Thus, it was with an easy stride and nonchalant attitude that Gen exited Clover Kingdom into this neutral territory.
The area boasted of several different terrains, and Gen had visited them each before. Forest, tundra, desert, plains, mountains—they were all here, separate yet still congregated in one area. The last time she was here, it was to train herself fighting with her flying golems. She may have been able to fight well when she was on the ground, but when it came to aerial combat, that was a different story. They had been flying near the mountain range, and there had been two vulture-like creatures that attacked them. She had fallen more than once, but had learned a lot about controlling her dragon using her mana tether and fighting in the air.
But most of the time, she took the walking route instead, like what she was doing now. Only, she was not alone this time. There were two other mages with her, two of which she would dare say were trusted comrades. Only those whom she had spent a decent amount of time with received that title, and it was only through fighting together and experience that she even tolerated their presence. Otherwise, the redhead seldom had company.
Now, she raised a suspicious eyebrow at Valo’s comment. Not lost, huh? Instead of being worried, Gen only shrugged lightly, looking completely at ease and unconcerned. There was supposed to be an ancient tower around here, a new dungeon that needed to be cleared of monsters before some rogue factions got to it. That is, according to Valo, who received the news due to his being a Magic Knight. However, she has yet to see anything besides sand...and more sand.
Then came Valo’s shout of warning, and Gen immediately threw her arms over her face, covering her eyes and nose and mouth from the swirling sand. The sand storm had come suddenly upon them, almost magically. That in itself was unnatural, but she was past trying to reason what was natural and unnatural, especially after all she has gone through already. The winds picked up, and she felt herself being shifted by the wind. Instead of trying to stand upright, the femme knelt down and curled up into a ball, , burying her face into her knees. By making herself as small as possible and grounding her feet deep into the sand, she would not so easily get thrown about in the storm.
And she waited. She could hear the howling winds, and feel the searing sand that was being thrown about. There were even some sand particles that got blown into the insides of her clothes, and she could only hope the storm would die out soon, because it was getting really itchy. She kept an attentive ear out, listening to the winds. Gradually, it lessened, and only when she felt no more flying sand particles did she peek her head up from her crouched position.
A stone tower loomed up before her eyes...one that was not there before the storm happened. Genesis righted herself up, brushing and patting herself free from all that sand. Were her comrades all right? She looked around. Yes, they looked fine, though the mercenary had to help the fire mage up. But how did Valo even fall down on his back though?
No matter. Hearing his excited shouts, she figured that this must be the place they were looking for. "Mhmm. Not lost." She replied back, though it was clear that she was being sarcastic. But first, there was even some sand in her boots she needed to take care of. With an insufferable sigh, Gen yanked them off and poured the sand out before putting them back on again. There. Much better.
Now she made her way up to the entrance of the place. Nature had completely taken over, and the door was covered with overgrown plants. A minor inconvenience. The next instant, Chuchote was out and Gen was slashing through those lianas, her dagger easily cutting through those greens. There was no handle, and she had to use her shoulder and her entire body weight to push the creaking door open...
Floor 1 | Room 1
...and almost falling face first into the dirt.
No, not dirt. More like mud. Or quicksand.
Gen caught herself, only to find herself lowering into the ground. What? She lifted a foot up, then another, but still felt herself sinking. Her head snapped up and around, quickly looking around her surroundings. There! There were quite a few lianas hanging from the ceiling, and she immediately jumped up and grabbed onto one of them. So there she was, hanging onto a vine while she looked back down on the unstable floor. If it were not for her quick reflexes, she would probably have sunk down into the dirt, and who knows what could have happened?
She smirked, then called back to her two companions, assuming they were right behind her. "Hey, the ground is alive, just so you know." Without any more explanations, she started throwing her body weight again, making herself swing. Back and forth, back and forth... Once she had a good momentum going on, the female mage let go, flying through the air—and grabbed onto the next closest vine. Then another one. And another one.
It was not that difficult, just a little warm up for her. Before she knew it, she had made it to the other side. Landing on the bottom of the staircase, she straightened herself up gracefully. She was glad for some actual solid ground beneath her feet this time. The staircase seemed to be made out of some sort of rock. Limestone, perhaps? At least it was solid, and it was the only way into the dungeon, with the way it arched up to the next floor.
Only now did she start taking in what the place actually looked like. It was a circular room, and there were a few stray rays of sunlight that shone through the cracks in the stone walls. Everything looked old and ancient, like something straight from the past. She had heard Hans’ comment earlier about dinosaurs, and seeing this place, that made it seem very possible.
It was also hot. Oppressively hot. It was not like the dry heat from the desert. No, this was more like the humid type, the one found in the jungle part of the Fringe. Already she was starting to sweat a little, though she had hardly done anything except some arm exercise. Seriously, why were all the dungeons she has been in either too hot or too cold? Was there no dungeon with a normal temperature?
There was the smell, too. She wrinkled her nose. Come to think of it, the ground was more like a swamp. It certainly smelled like one, that thick and sluggish odor. But there seemed to be a river or stream somewhere around here, as she could hear the sound of rushing water. Though they were on the first level, it seemed like there might be a water source above them. Interesting.
She waved away some pesky flies and mosquitoes that were buzzing around. No enemies in this room, it seemed. That was almost a little disappointing. "Well, what are you two doing back there, taking a nap?" She called back. "Come on. The dinosaurs aren’t gonna to kill themselves."

Valo Stark
"Don't need a reason to seek strength."
"Sure. Remind me to never trust you with a map, Valo."
"Mhmm. Not lost."
Valo heard the two witty and sarcastic comments coming from Hans and Genesis. "Heeyy hey, at least we found the place." he said in a attempt to defend himself, he rubbed the back of his head trying to convince them with a wide smile. Valo looked back at the large door, the Green Mantis knight was excited to say the least.
"Yea. Dino...something like that. Basically really old ancient mana beasts. Thought long gone and forgotten." Valo said out loud, placing his hand on the door. He was about to begin burning down the vines with some of his flames, but Genesis wasted no time and started slashing away. The shadow user was really quick and precise with her movements, he figure just let her continue. She was probably just as eager as him to get moving, why stop her.
Valo let her go first, as she stepped into the first floor.
Floor 1 | Room 1
Her fist steps led her nearly falling face first into some mud, Valo didn't take another step when he saw it happen. Valo's instant reaction was holding back some laughter, he knew better by now to laugh at Genesis and let her hear it. He quickly covered his mouth with his free hand, snorting and chuckling to himself. He shook it off quickly, and looked down at her. "Genesis...get out of the floor." he said plainly, trying his best to hide a smile.
But she quickly did with no help at all! Grabbing onto some hanging vines, and using them to swing over to the safe part of the room. Right after her warning letting them now the ground was somehow alive. Valo being curious bent over to get a better look at this quicksand, but didn't touch it. "Ground that is alive...and eats you..." he said rubbing his chin as if he was actually studying something of importance. "No wonder people are getting out of this place alive." he added on standing back up. Using his mana tether to his golem, he called it over so he could simply fly over the human eating sand. Valo hopped on, and gestured for Hans to hop on as well if he needed it.
When riding over the quick sand, Valo noticed just how hot and humid it was in this place. Valo loved hot weather probably more than anyone else, but this kind of weather was just nasty. What made it even worse was the bugs flying all over the place. Flies and mosquitoes were buzzing around this musty, muddy and ancient room. "Were coming! Were coming!." he replied to Genesis.
With his golem flying him over, getting to the staircase was a breeze, he hopped off once next to solid ground. Took off his Green Mantis cloak, and long shirt leaving just a loose tank top. It was to hot to wear anything else, he dropped both items on top of his golem. "Alright next floor then!"
WC: 339 / Total WC: Completed
Floor 2 | Room 1
Climbing up the stairs was a little bit of a struggle, not to hard at all but some slips every now and then to keep one on his toes. He decided on not riding his golem all the way through, he wanted to get a feel for floor and layout. The next room was dark large cave, which was kind of warm. The fire mage looked around for a bit, his silver staff weapon resting over his left shoulder. He took another step forward, and found himself face to face with a large red eye looking straight at him. It had long spores that hung from the ceiling, and each passing moment the one eyes started to look angrier and angrier. "Is this a dinosaur??" he asked out loud, right before avoiding a grab from pink lianas coming from the ground. He jumped back a few feet to dodge the attack. "Dino or not, they are not friendly!"
Bureizusutorīmu. Valo took a deep breath, and let out a stream of hot flames from his mouth setting the fist snail like creature on fire. From the looks of it, that was more than enough to kill the horrifying creature. From the corner of his eye, coming from the left he saw another one. With a twirl he had Hinokagutsuchi in his right hand, he threw the silver staff like a javelin spear at the slow moving snail. Piercing it right in the eye going straight through it, and piercing the wall behind it. That snail was as good as dead.
Now with both hands free, Valo would shuffle his feet and really start moving. With his speed currently he was already much faster than any of the slow moving snails. He ran towards the next one, effortlessly dodging and weaving between it's lianas. He jumped into the air and landed a spinning jump kick right on it's red eye. The kick sent it flying back and slammed against the wall killing it. Without wasting another move, Valo landed on his feet and started flipping to his weapon location while avoiding any incoming grabs.
But another large snail came from above, and landed right in-between him and his weapon. No matter. A swift elbow strike landed right on it's eye was enough to take care of it. Valo continued to sprint towards his weapon still lodged into the wall, but he didn't grab it. He used it as a spring and got higher into the air running up along the wall, he kicked off it and came down his next target finishing it with a strong arial axe kick. Crushing it beneath his feet, finishing off his five of the monsters. Valo walked over and freed his staff from the wall. The little fight was a nice warm up he thought.

Floor 1: Room 1
Hans entered the tower last, taking a good look at his surroundings, but the sightseeing was cut short as he saw Genesis falling onto that not so solid ground. Hans' instincts kicked in, causing him to place a hand on his sheathed greatsword, but as the situation fully...sunk in, the merc took his hand off the weapon and blinked a few times at the almost comical moment. The dark mage could definitely tell that Valo was having a hard time containing himself as he glanced over at him, making him smirk a little in amusement. Fortunately, Hans has better control of his emotions...which meant that he didn't run the risk of getting on the shadow mage's bad side...at least he hopes.
"It's just quicksand." Hans would say in response to the fire mage...unsure of if he were joking or not. "I wouldn't recommend you stand so close to it...Doubt your golems would be strong enough to pull you out." Now Hans was joking a little...He just hopes that Valo doesn't take those words as a challenge.
With this minor distraction, Genesis has gotten a bit ahead of the two males, but it wasn't going to stay that way for long. The merc nodded and got onto Valo's golem before it took off. Hans could've used one of his own, but he thought it would be smart to save some of his mana, plus this gave the dark mage time to actually look around. Such humid, swamp-like temperatures...and those pesky mosquitoes that were making Hans slap at his neck. As they landed by the stairs, Hans took one more look around. There didn't appear to be any dinosaurs on this floor...or any enemies for that matter, but this environment certainly feels suited for such creatures....
Floor 2: Room 1
After climbing up those stairs...which proved to be a little more tricky than stairs are supposed to be, making him nearly trip over a few times, Hans found himself on the next floor of the dungeon...appearing to be some sort of dark cave. Things were still visible enough to maneuver around with little to no issue, but Hans would've preferred if there were a little more light, especially with not knowing what they were up against. "Valo, can you use your flames to light this area u-" Before he could finish, Hans saw a single eye staring at him from the darkness, separate from the one Valo saw....Then, four more eyes came into appearance, and Hans quickly brought his hand to the hilt of his greatsword.
"Is this a dinosaur??"
"You wanna go ask them?" Hans asked, a sarcastic remark hidden under a stoic tone before drawing his blade, holding onto it with both hands as his expression grew into something more serious, and focused. Didn't matter what these creatures were. They were hostile, and that's all that mattered.
One of those creatures stretched one of its pink lianas out at Hans, attempting to strike the merc with it, but he effortlessly dodged the attack and sliced the lianas off with his sword. As the creature screeched in pain, another came rushing at Hans from the darkness, but it was slow in comparison to the guy, so he impaled the beast straight through its eye with the sword and watched as it squirmed a bit on the ground before dying.
Hans had a few seconds to look at the body, noticing how snail-like it appears, but then two more of those snail things dropped from the ceiling, nearly hitting Hans but ended up getting tangled together instead. Hans shook his head at this sight and wasted no time killing the second one with a vertical downward slash, and then followed up on the third with a horizontal slash, cutting both of them in half in different ways. A fourth one slammed two of its lianas down on the ground next to Hans and attempted to lunge at the merc, but he rolled out of the way, causing the creature to slam into the wall behind him. The merc didn't even need to use magic to deal with these beasts. His sword was strong enough to tear through them, and their speed was...disappointing. Part of the merc honestly hopes that the actual dinosaurs will not be this easy...if there are any.
The fourth snail hissed before sliding off of the wall, signaling Hans to ready up again. The snail tried striking Hans with its lianas again, but Hans slid a bit out of the way, causing it to land on a boulder. The poison from that lianas oozed out...melting the rock a little bit, showing that those things aren't just capable of slapping folks around with those! Then a hiss came from behind Hans, and the merc glanced over his shoulders. It was the first snail monster he sliced one of the lianas off of, and it was very angry! It lunged at Hans, but the merc quickly slid around and used his momentum to slice the creature in half while it was still in mid-air! The pieces fell on both sides of Hans, and he immediately turned back over just in time to see the fifth snail creature as it attempted to strike the dark mage with a barrage of its lianas! Hans dodged each and every one of them before just resorting to cutting them off every time they came his way. As the monster squirmed about in pain, Hans rushed it and dealt the final blow with an upward slash, leaving it in two as well!
But Hans wasn't done yet...
Assuming that Gen was still fighting her share, Hans would rush over to one of those snails which alerted it. It turned around and attempted to whack Hans with its lianas, but the man ducked and followed up by impaling it in the side, ending the creature. The kill alerted another one of those creatures and it turned its attention to the dark mage and swung two of its lianas at him, but he was able to dodge the first one with a head tilt, causing it to only brush slightly against his hair. As for the second lianas, Hans sliced it off before it could reach him and the merc stabbed the monster in its eye, killing it.
A third one was now trying to attack Hans by chucking little rocks at him, but the dark mage chopped down those projectiles and rushed at the snail, his speed outmatching its own. Before the creature could react, Hans performed an X-shaped slash on its chest...or the closest thing it has to one before kicking its now lifeless body over. The last two snailed were angry, and both lunged at Hans, trying to grab at the dark mage, but Hans jumped out of the way and started to run around the two until he was behind them, and the dark mage impaled one of the snails from behind and preceded to cut the other one's head off....putting an end to the final two monsters.
If everyone was done, Hans would rest his greatsword, covered a bit in those creature's weird blood on his shoulder, and smirk a bit at the redhead before turning his attention to Valo to see if he was done. "Let's keep going." is all Hans would say before taking the lead.
Floor 2: Room 2
As soon as Hans exited the cave, he took notice of the difference in the area. The sky was completely visible with nothing covering it. Not only that, but there was also a large lake in front of him with steam rising from it that appears to be heating up the entire area. Hans wiped the sweat off of his face before proceeding to walk around the lake since it wouldn't be...smart to try and swim across that. But as the merc walked, the area would start to rumble a bit, making him stop in his tracks as he looked around. What could've caused that rumble, Hans could only make guesses, but he couldn't think on that for long.
Something was coming...
Hearing footsteps fast approaching, Hans quickly turned around and saw some reptilian-like creature coming in fast! At this point, Hans couldn't dodge, so he quickly rose a palm up and with the use of his grimoire summoned one of his Chaos Barriers! The creature slammed straight into the barrier and started clawing at it viciously to no avail. Hans took advantage to try and observe the creature, and his eyes widened slightly in surprise. "Is this...a dinos-" Before he could finish, Hans heard a roar coming from behind him. Two more of those things were heading Hans' way and the merc summoned a second barrier with his other hand, blocking them as well. Like the first one, these two were also attacking the dark barrier as well. They didn't appear to be the brightest, but still, these were dinosaurs...actual dinosaurs! "Wonder what she would think of these." he muttered to himself, referring to a certain blue-haired elf.
Unfortunately, there was no time to be awing over these supposedly extinct beasts. Two more were now coming in, one on each side of Hans that currently wasn't covered. Hans looked back and forth, trying to think of something, and his head would perk up a bit as something came to mind. With an upward gesture with both hands, Hans rose both barriers up into the air, making the three dinos that were attacking them suddenly fall over. The merc then took his greatsword back out and sliced the head off of one of the incoming two before ducking in time for the second one to crash into the now decapitated body! But as Hans stood back up, so did the other four dino beasts...Not only that, but ten more of those things had started to come creeping out of wherever they were stalking around at. Assuming that Valo and Gen were up here, Hans would let them handle those creatures while he deals with his own share.
One of the beasts in front of Hans roared and tried to claw at the dark mage, but he quickly sliced the creature's hands off before impaling it in the chest! A second dino roared from behind, but Hans brought down one of his barriers just in time to prevent the fierce reptile from taking a bit out of the back of his head. Hans then moved the barrier to the side and shoved his greatsword into the dinosaur's mouth, and through the back of its head, killing it! The third one ran up behind the now-dead second one, but Hans used this opportunity to kick the corpse into that dino, making it crash on its back before meeting its fatal end with a sword to the stomach!
This left the final one which tried slashing Hans with its sharp claws, but the merc bobbed and weaved his way out of each attempted attack, bringing his sword up to deflect some of them as well. The dino growled in frustration before trying once more, leaving an opening where Hans was able to slash at one of its legs, making it drop to a knee, allowing Hans to dive his sword straight into the beast's head!
The last dino fell over, leaving Hans to be surrounded by these corpses. If they weren't extinct before...they certainly are now...

Gen had heard Valo’s jest about getting out of the floor, but she did not respond to that. However, she did roll her eyes in a dramatic fashion upon hearing the strangled snorts behind her. Fortunately, she was not as hot-tempered as she used to be, otherwise the two would be neck-deep in the sinking swamp by now.
The two men had decided to fly over the swamp on Valo’s dragon golem, taking the easy way out. Fair, she was going to save her dragon golem when she really needed it. For now, there has yet to be something out of her control. She followed the two up the staircase...

...to face a large cave. It was quite dark, and even more humid than the previous room downstairs. Gen was tempted to take off her top as well, but it was not hot enough to make her strip. Not yet.
"Is this a dinosaur?"
"You wanna go ask them?"
She smirked at the exchange, but focused on the room instead of commenting. Glowing eyes looked out at the trio, red and menacing. Whatever they were, they needed to be rid of. She could also see some spores floating idly around. Toxic, no doubt. Best to avoid those.Gen drew her dagger out of her shealth, ready for some action.
Or so she thought.
Valo had already gone along ahead, fighting with his staff and his feet against those strange creatures. Or were they plants? Hans was also in action, slicing through them like they were mushrooms for dinners. Pink lianas struck out, attempting to catch their unlucky victims into their snarls, but to no avail. The two mages were too fast to be caught by them. Before she knew it, both had cleared the room up, and those ugly snails were all chopped up in pieces or smashed. Broken vines and lianas laid scattered on the ground as well, a tell-tale sound of their battle. But why the hell were those two so fast?
Oh well. Might as well save her energy for the real enemies. Hopefully the dinosaurs would be more of a challenge then these weird cave creatures. Gen shrugged, but threw a particular look at the mercenary before following him deeper into the cave. She carefully picked her way through the small bones and whatnot on the ground, avoiding the slippery moss...
[ Room Cleared ]

...and out into an open space.
Then the tower seemed to shake, and instinctively the shadow assassin bent her knees, steadying her balance. The mini earthquake only lasted for a short while, however, and she relaxed slightly when it stopped. The gorgeous blue sky was above her, and there was a lake just right up ahead. Steam wafted around her, hot and humid and pungent with a particular smell. Gen wrinkled her nose. Not as bad as the swamp place, though.
There was the sound of trampling feet. She slid her honed blade out, grey eyes gleaming in anticipation. Finally, Chuchote could get its fill in blood. It may be just a blade, but Gen fancied that it thirsted for action and blood just as much as she did. This time, she was more ready to jump into action. Envelopper. Shadows were snatched towards her, filling up the space around her.
"Is this...a dinos-"
"Guess so." She replied, just as she faded into her shroud. She had never seen this type of furry reptile beasts before, but it was not going to stop her from killing them. A whole pack of them had rushed to the scene, and she jumped up as some of them ran right into her shadowy mass. The nimble assassin landed on one of them, and she quickly slashed through its neck without too much problem.
Within her spell, she felt herself moving faster, pushing past her usual speed. Another slash, another dinosaur down. One more on the right, and one more on the left. Four down. These dinosaurs were not too hard to kill, thanks to her sharp blade and quick movements. They were much faster than those snails back in the cave, but she was even faster when she was in her element.
There was a blur of movement on the edge of her vision, and she leapt towards it. A little too hasty, as a clawed hand struck out at her and she dropped to the ground, rolling out of the way. The shadow mage jumped back up again and lunged at her attacker. She brought Chuchote across, splitting the creature open horizontally. Upon hearing its screech of pain, another appeared within her sights, and she dispatched that one just as quickly, though a little more mercifully with a stab through the heart. Six down. Easy.
Assuming that Valo and Hans had taken care of the ones on their side, she let her ‘smokescreen’ dissipate, exposing all the dismembered body parts around her. Gen wiped her blade clean, but kept it out and ready, in case she spied any stragglers still half-alive.

Valo Stark
"Don't need a reason to seek strength."
Floor 2 | Room 1
Valo spun his silver staff in between his fingers as he watched his partners take care of their share of the weird creatures. Or more so Hans taking care of them, the dark mercenary fought with a new type of strength. Valo always thought Hans was pretty strong, an excellent swordsman, and his darkness spells were equally incredible. Valo started to rub his chin watching Hans slay the monsters, he was much stronger than before the fire mage could just tell.
What was also clear was the fact that Hans took out not just some, or most but all of Gen's beasts as well. Even Valo knew better than to take Genesis's kills, the look the red head gave the dark mage made Valo giggle but only to himself. If she turned to face him, he would quickly try to hide it with an innocent smile. Valo gestured for his dragon golem to follow behind him, he didn't put it to much use this time round only because it was still holding some of his things. He would be the last to follow his allies into the next room a large crack opening that had a peculiar smell coming from it.
Floor 2 | Room 2
The trio exited the cave and was now looking at the outside again, it was like a large vast open jungle. Valo lost his balance just a bit when it seemed the whole dungeon started to shake violently. Once it stopped he finally had the time to take it all in.
"Wheeeeeeeeewww." Valo whistled from his lips looking at the scenery. Hot steam from the lake hit his face, which didn't bother him if it was anything heat related Valo didn't mind. In fact he usually liked it. There was probably some lava or molten rock nearby which for some reason excited the fire mage. But all the gazing around would soon come to an end, there was something approaching the group and fast.
From the sounds of the foot steps there was quite a few of them and they were moving fast. Eventually two of these odd looking beasts made it to them, only to be stopped by Han's shields. With two trying to get past Han's defenses's Valo took the little time he had to try and study these beasts. "I guess...these would have to be dinosaurs." he said aloud tapping his silver staff to his chin. "They look more dino then those green things inside the cave."
But the time for studying had to come to an end, there was handful of them running towards Valo this time. The fire mage didn't have the shields that Hans did. So being the dedicated offensive made that he was, he ran towards them as well! These dinosaurs's weren't nearly as fast as Valo, so it was easy for him to get the upper hand. He kept his weapon in his left hand, and prepared his right hand to stop the beast. As soon as he was close the first one, he did a light hop in the air and slammed his open palm on the top of the large creatures jaw! Bringing it down to a complete stop! Using his right hand still he landed a quick jab to the beast's jaw knocking it out.
These things didn't wait and preferred to attack in packs, another one coming towards Valo's left. With a quick body spin, a flash of silver struck the beast's head and sent it flying back knocking it out, the attack coming from his staff. Two more started to rush in at the same time, but they were still about 15 meters away. Valo smirked as he started to rotate and spin his staff, with another body spin his silver staff started to extend at a fast speed. Zoka. With the Falkhasaurs rushing in Valo's staff just had to extend about 10 meters, using the momentum from his spin the staff smacked one beast right across it's jaw knocking it out. And changing his spin rotation to the opposite direction, landing a similar attack on the other one knocking that one out as well.
Valo shrunk his staff's length back to it's normal height, and prepared for more beasts to only be met with none. He raised an eyebrow in confusion and looked around, only to see just about all the beasts in the area have been taken care of. The only difference was, Valo left his alive while Genesis and Hans killed theirs. Valo couldn't really blame them, the dinosaurs were certainly going to kill them. Perhaps it was all the reading his mother made him do about weird and forgotten mysteries in the world, but he couldn't bring himself to kill these dinosaurs.
"I'll leave mines alive. I don't want these guys going extinct." Valo said his partners. But right after he said that, the entire landscape started to shake again! This time with a few loud roars to add on, a pair of roars at that. Once it was done the entire place became eerily quiet. Almost an awkward kind of silence.
Valo called his golem towards him, and hopped on it getting a bird's eye view of where they should head next. It looked like it was two options one heading down the path of a large open river or a small narrow path that looked like it was covered in thorns and bushes. Valo thought for about one second before stating his opinion. "We should head down the path with the river...cause it looks like fun! C'mon lets fly!" Valo said before using his golem to fly off without another word. The fire mage was here for adventure and discovery! Not for easy way outs and boring looking paths.
Room 2 WC: 758 / Total: Completed!
Floor 2 | Room 3: RIVER PATH
Valo kept his eyes open and senses alert, while flying on top of his golem. Though the fire mage wasn't expecting much, if they were to be attacked it probably would have been some weird looking dinosaur fish. And he doubted they would be able to reach them in the air anyway. If anything this probably was the easy path to take, a bored look on his face as he laid down on his back on top of his white dragon golem. Seemingly without a care in the world. Something started to tingle his sensory but he ignored it, thinking it was nothing more than a minor threat that probably couldn't reach him.
But the more he ignored the feeling the bigger it got, a few moments passed by with his little sensory still alerting him to something that was now much closer than before. Valo finally decided to rise up, still sitting on his golem in a lax position but now trying to find whatever was alerting him. He would quickly find his answer, his eyes widened at the sight of a extremely large blue ancient mana beast creature sending a large splash of water towards him!
It was to late to dodge and to late to guard, Valo and his golem took the full frontal force of the water attack. It didn't do much but it did sting a little, it also knocked his golem of it's course causing it to spiral in the air. Valo finally managed to make it stop and now standing with both legs, he saw the large monster fall back into the water and swim in the same direction the trio was headed at a really fast speed! Valo's face was full of utter shock...and excitement. He was like a kid in a candy store.
"Did you freaking see that!!? Did. You. Guys. Freaking. See. That!!?!?" He shouted at the top of lungs, towards his allies. They both were a bit on the quiet side, but Valo's output of energy was probably enough for the three of them. "That was freaking awesome!!" Valo continued to shout, using a mana tether he had his golem fly higher into the air.
"Sorry Masshiro, but I'm gonna need your big brother." Valo said dispelling his golem spell in mid air, his face oddly calm though. His grimoire glowing a feint blue color as he activated another spell in replacement. "Massao." he said summoning two large giant blue dragonic golems, they both were larger, faster and stronger than his previous Masshiro. One was right below him and he landed on it with little to no effort. The second one flying right by his side, as he had both follow the large creature as it swam under water. "I'll draw it's attention and damage it! You guys attack right after me and finish it off!" Valo shouted at his team, before taking off.
But it suddenly changed it's course! Now swimming towards Valo, the fire mage grinned with exhilaration. He started to have his golems fly closer to the top of the river. Valo was riding his golem like a large board, both feet planted and ready to jump at any time. The large creature now moved it's head above the river it's set on Valo and his golems. Suddenly it would launch out aiming to capture Valo and his golem in it's jaws, luckily though the large beast was slower when not in water. Valo's golem had enough time to weave to the left avoiding it's jaws! But now was time for the trio to attack, the fire mage wasted no time he leaped off his golem "NOW!" he shouted "Nijiiii TENKA!" a burst of blue flames erupted from his right fist and collided with the large beast's massive jaw. The power behind the blow was enough to severely hurt the monster, stunning it as it started to fall. Now it was left for his partners to finish off the massive beast.

Floor 2: Room 2
Hans had just got finished taking down his share of dinosaurs and decided to crouch down to look at one of them closely. They certainly do look like those dinosaurs Hans used to read about, so this must've been the real deal. Interesting how these supposedly extinct creatures still roamed about...and the merc was now wondering what other ancient fossils were wandering about this dungeon.
He then got back up to see how the other two were doing. Genesis appeared to have slain her fair share of these dinos while Valo on the other hand just left his unconscious. Not surprising since this was Valo after all....but seeing this made Hans look back at the reptilian corpses around him. Maybe he should've done the same to try and preserve these endangered creatures. He was so quick to kill, a habit that the merc needed to drop.
Hans waited for Valo to pick their next path and once it was decided, the merc nodded before summoning a golem of his own with his grimoire, Draconic Blade. A dark sword golem shaped somewhat like a dragon's wing formed in front of the dark mage and with his mana tethers, the merc shifted his golem over before getting on it like a board. The golem's size was similar to that of a Junior one...but its strength and cutting power was Grand tier.
He then commanded it to follow the fire mage down the river and on to their next challenge....
Floor 2: Room 3 (River Path)
So far, everything was calm down this path. It didn't matter to Hans if anything happened or not, but he assumed that Valo is probably dying of boredom now...and maybe hating himself for picking this path to begin with. Still, the merc remained alert. Just because nothing was happening now didn't mean that they were in the clear. Something could be stalking them in this very water, waiting for the right moment to strike.....
....and it seems that the merc was right.
Just like Valo, Hans picked up on something with his sensory as well. He saw the wave coming the fire mage's way but before he could warn him, Valo was struck by the attack and sent his golem off course! Hans maneuvered out of Valo's way with his sword golem before setting his dark eyes on the one responsible for the attack....A large aquatic looking dino...with dangerously sharp teeth! This was definitely a step up from those little ones in the previous room that's for sure. "Valo, you oka-" Hans turned his head to see how the fire mage was doing, but stopped after hearing his reaction.
"That was freaking awesome!!"
Well....It was safe to say that he's alright.
Hans smirked before using his control to summon another Draconic Blade golem that floated beside him, keeping up with the golem that he was riding on. The dark mage kept to the air to avoid getting attacked by this monster and looked over to Genesis then back to Valo to see how they were holding up. With another golem, Valo cooked up a plan which Hans nodded to. "Right." Hans said as he brought his attention back to the aquatic predator. It was much faster in the water, but not fast enough to catch the fire mage in its strong jaws! Hans flew close by the two, waiting to strike while also keeping an eye out in case the plan went south.
"NOW!"
After Valo's well-timed attack and before the creature could fall back into the water, Hans used his mana tethers to send the sword golem he wasn't riding on flying at the monster's side tip first! The dark golem pierced through and came out the other side of the dino before flying upward!
Now all that was left is for Genesis to deal her blow...

Her two comrades had swiftly taken care of the rest of those dinosaurs, though Valo had left those around him alive. Gen raised an eyebrow at this, but when he mentioned not wanting them to go extinct, she only nodded and left it at that. She did not particularly care if they were supposedly extinct or not. As long as they stayed down and did not attack, she would not retaliate.
Then the whole place shook again, this time with a series of loud roars that rang throughout the area. Just the sound of that made the redhead smirk in anticipation for what laid ahead. Whatever it was, it sounded big and terrifying. Just what she needed.
"We should head down the path with the river...cause it looks like fun! C'mon lets fly!"
Both male mages were summoning their golems, so she followed suit. Ending Solitude. She tapped the quartz stone on her bracelet, and amethyst smoke began pouring out of it. As the smoke dissipated, her amethyst dragon uncurled itself and stretched out its neck towards her. Genesis smiled as she stroked its nose, then with a leap, hopped onto its back and followed the other flying dragon and sword-like golem over the river...
[ Room Cleared ]
(River Path) Floor 2 | Room 3
As they did so, Gen reached out with her sensory, trying to see if there were any large aquatic creatures in the lake. Apparently so, for she felt something stir beneath the seemingly-calm waters. She did not even need to use her ki. It seemed fairly big, but just as she was about to call out to her two companions, a large something shot out of the water and hit the white dragon and its passenger.
For a second, Gen was worried that Valo might fall over, but he caught himself. The river monster was pale blue, and had a large mouth that snapped angrily at its intruders. Whatever it was, it was not going to let the trio pass without a fight.
"Did you freaking see that!!?"
At least one of them knew how to show their enthusiasm. "Yes, I’ve got eyes." And she rolled said eyes, but then watched as Valo summoned another dragon golem, a bigger one this time. He went in, calling out directions to the other two. She gave the two men some space, wanting to see what they would do before she went in. The Green Mantis knight went in with his golems, using them almost like a distraction while he sent a flaming spell at the creature’s face, temporarily stunning it. Then the dark mage had followed up with one of his sword golems—something new she has not seen before—and running itself through the beast.
Now the shadow assassin tightened her legs around her dragon’s body, and let herself fall...sideways, until she was hanging upside down. Her dagger was already out and ready, and as she steered herself towards the creature, she reached out and sliced through its head, finishing it off. She righted herself back up immediately, and looked over to the side to see the creature sink into the murky depths, never to rise again. She had a suspicion that Hans’ golem had been more than enough to finish it off—she merely made her own mark on the aquatic creature before it sank to its final resting place. Come to think of it, those two were gaining power in bounds and leaps. She would have to work harder to catch up.
But now, Gen reached out with her sensory again, attempting to discern if there were any other dangerous beasts that might pop up out of nowhere. It did not seem like it, so she spurred her dragon to fly faster ahead of them. She wanted to see what those roars were all about...
[ Room Cleared ]
(Boss Room) Floor 2 | Room 4
As she entered the next area, two loud roars shook the place, each belonging to a different dinosaur, it seems. As she drew closer, she was suddenly assaulted with a cloud of dust. Coughing a little, her arms waved away the smoke, trying to see what was making the disturbance. Then a strong wind blew out of nowhere and cleared her vision.
"Wow." Two ancient mana beasts were engaged in a fierce battle, and they were gigantic. One was a large bird-like creature with spiky wings and a long dangerous-looking tail, and it attacked from the air. The other was a reptile...or was it something else? Genesis was not quite sure, as it had fur on its back, as well as sharp teeth that would definitely hurt if she was caught in its jaws. Whatever these two were, it seemed like they were battling to the death, and she glanced over at her companions.

"Don't need a reason to seek strength."
Floor 2 | Room 3: RIVER PATH
Just like planned his two companions followed up right after him in a series of attacks. Hans used his new golems, that were oddly shaped like swords to get a powerful strike in on the large beast. Genesis never failing to capitalize on an opportunity, hung off the side of her dragon golem and landed a final strike to really make sure the beast was finished. Valo had a cocky smirk on his face once all the giant dinosaur was falling and looked defeated. Valo looked at the giant beast a while longer though, thinking to himself what else did dinosaurs look like. Such giant magnificent looking beasts, also highly dangerous.
Fromt the big splash attack, Valo was a soaked wet. He stood on top of his golem and used a mana tether to command to follow after Genesis and her own. He shook his body in an attempt to try and dry off, then took a deep breath with his nose and blew out releasing some hot air on himself drying his clothes.

As his golem flew him into the next, his other golem following close behind. The group would be met with two loud roars, each belonging to a gigantic and beautiful large dinosaur. Flying in further into the room a cloud of dust hit Valo, causing him to cover his face with his free arm. The cloud was followed up with a strong gust of wind which made it easier to really see what was going on.
"Dinosaurs." was all Valo said when looking up at these giant behemoths. It was like a time travel trip back into the past, Valo rested his silver staff on his right shoulder and just continued to watch the beasts engaged in their battle. One a large bird like dinosaur that kept to the air, and attack with its wings and vicious looking tail. The other large and powerful with it's massive jaws, it favored the ground. Valo honestly just wanted to sit back and watch the fight to see who the winner could be. But it looked like a choice had to be made, which one would they help.
Genesis asked out loud what the same question Valo had in his mind. Valo rubbed his chin as he always does when in heavy thought, his eyes shifting back and forth between the two gigantic behemoths. He had to make up his mind eventually, so he just made a decision. "We should take down the bird, it flying gives it an unfair advantage. I feel bad for the one stuck on the ground. Agreed?" he asked his partners, with a nod. If they nodded in return. Valo would waste little time charging in, for support.
Stil riding on top of his golem, his feet planted firmly on it's back. He commanded the golem fly close to the ground and then raise up to meet the flying beast in the air. The Joatl though spotted the large dragons and the fire mage, it's eyes widened and spin its body smacking the Juvasaur in the face with it's sharp wing. The attack sent the Juvasaur flying back a few meters and slammed into a three. It's focus on Valo now, the flying beast raised it's long tail and struck down aiming at the fire mage.
Valo saw this attack coming, using a mana tether to the golem he was riding on. It stopped in mid flight and coiled around Valo, forming a shield to block the strike form it's tail. From the looks of the it's tail is it strongest weapon, the damage was significant but it wasn't enough to take down Valo's tough golem. But the Joatl's attacks weren't finished, it was a fierce creature. It came flying down at an intense speed, catching Valo's golem in it's mouth and biting down hard destroying the golem. An intrigued look appeared in Valo's face, the dinosaur made quick work of his golem he didn't expect that. As he was falling his second golem scooped him up in mid air, just as he commanded via mana tether. The Joatl's tail striking again, this time his golem was ready and fast enough to dodge the attack and rise up to meet it in the air.
This gave Valo the needed range for him to get a hit in, running up along the spine of his golem. When reaching the top he leaped off the head of his golem towards the Joatl. This time no spells, no weapon just straight knuckle Valo landed a strong punch right on top of the flying behemoths skull. It did some damage but not really enough to faze it. "Hrm." the fire mage wasn't finished. With him and the Joatl coming down, Valo positioned his body and brought both his knees up to his chest, he waited and aimed his next attack striking both feet against the Joatl's jaw slamming the dinosaur down to the ground hard. Valo's silver staff still in his left hand, as he was falling he pointed it towards the ground. Zoka.
Instantly the silver staff grew at a rapid pace, the bottom end hitting the ground stopping Valo's falling momentum. The staff had to be at least 18-19 meters long now, Valo slid down his weapon landing on the ground harm free. Valo shook his hand the same hand he used to punch the massive beast. "It has a tough skull." he said as his large blue dragonic golem came in and flew around him.

Floor 2 Room 3 (River Path)
Shling! Hans' sword golem went right through that aquatic dinosaur with ease! As he commanded his golem to return to him, the merc caught sight of Genesis on her own. Hans couldn't recall if he has seen the shadow mage use one before, but he took note of how different it looks from the woman's shadow elements. She applied the final strike to the ancient mana beast and with that, it fell lifelessly into the water, making a huge splash that the merc was able to avoid...Valo not so much which probably wasn't all that fun for the fire mage.
With that done, Gen followed by Valo were now on their way to the last room, and Hans was right behind them, riding on his sword golem while the second one followed next to him.
Floor 2 Boss Room
Although he was last to make it to the room, Hans still made it in time to hear those two ferocious roars! The merc had his arm over his face as well when the dust kicked up, but soon a gust would blow it all away, revealing the two towering creatures responsible for such fearsome roars! Hans did not know much about the different dinosaurs, but he could tell just by the appearance that these two were some of the top apex predators of their time. One was a land creature that appears to focus on attacking with its menacing teeth and tail, while the other is a flying creature that battles with its wings, jaws, and its eerily sharp tail.
The two of them were currently engaging in battle, most likely over dominance, unaware of the three mage's existence. Hans was just as captivated over this as Valo, but not as hyped with his expressions....ye it was still clear that he was focused on those two beasts of the past. He specifically had his eyes on how the flying one fought and compared to its land counterpart, it appeared to be a bit more durable when it comes to taking hits, something that Hans could respect. But then the merc's attention shifted over to the shadow mage as she asked her question.
Which one should they take out?
Realistically, they could take out both...but the trio could worry about that later if needed. Hans was going to say the land one, because he has grown a bit of a liking towards the flying predator, and wanted to preserve it for a little longer, but Valo beat him to it...suggesting the flying one. "The bird huh?" Hans muttered to himself before glancing away, looking almost disappointed. Valo's reasoning made sense however and the flying beast currently had the upper hand over its opponent, so Hans ended up nodding in agreement.
Then without warning, Valo was already heading towards the beast with his golems and the dark mage couldn't help but let out a light chuckle over this. The fire mage appeared to be really looking forward to going toe to toe with one of these top predators as if he was trying to assert his dominance as well. Seems like the type of guy Valo is which is one of the reasons why Hans respects him. So, instead of jumping in, Hans got off of his golem and dug the blade of his greatsword into the ground before letting go of it, show that he was going to sit this one out...for now. Whether Genesis wanted to still get into the fight or not, Hans wouldn't try stopping her. Hell, he's half expecting her to do so considering that....temper of hers.
Hans crossed his arms and watched the battle while his sword golems floated idly beside him. The dark mage took note of how the beast tried to impale Valo with its tail before being blocked by his quick thinking and golem, confirming that it does rely on its tail a little more than its land counterpart. The merc was so far getting captivated by this fight but then he gritted his teeth as the predator chomped down on that poor golem, nearly making Valo fall to the ground. Hans was almost about to send one of his own golems to help Valo....but that man needed no rescuing whatsoever. He got saved by his other golem and the merc shook his head lightly, mentally shaming himself for thinking that Valo would be beaten so easily.
Now the guy was running up the creature's back, and Hans slowly started to unfold his arms as he got even more engrossed by this action. A punch to the head...followed by a powerful foot strike that brought the behemoth back to the ground, causing the very surface to rumble! Seeing all that had just happened brought a small smile...no, a little grin to Hans' face. If Valo's fighting energy was an illness...then Hans sure as hell has caught it by now...
That was enough watching, Hans needed to get in on this...
The merc's grin formed back into its usual stoic look as he placed a hand onto the handle of his greatsword. A dark aura surrounded Hans' grimoire...and the man himself before forming into a dark suit of armor with some designs that almost resembles that of a dragon's. He then slowly took his sword from out of the ground, facing it towards his opponent.
Hans has entered his Dark Draconic Drive....and he was about to show this beast that Valo isn't the only true monster here.
The dark mage was now running, heading at his top speed at the beast! The Joatl roared at Valo and was about to strike before noticing the dark figure fast approaching it! It turned its attention to Hans and attempted to drive its tail into the merc's chest...only for it to deflect right off of the man, making a "thunk" like noise in the process. It roared once more before attempting to take flight...but then Hans grabbed onto its tail with his free hand, and used his enhanced strength to slam it back down to the ground. With his grip still on the Joatl, Hans took notice of the strange liquid secreting from the tip of its tail. "Poison?" Hans muttered just as the beast tried flying up again, but couldn't get anywhere. "Sorry about this..." is what Hans said...before cutting part of the monster's tail off, technically releasing it from his grasp...but probably not in the way that it desired.
A pained roar escaped its mouth now, as it landed back on the ground, and glared angrily at Hans. Even with its missing tail, the Joatl wanted to tear Hans apart, but the merc silenced it with a swift slash of his sword, cutting the monster's head off and causing it to land right next to the man...followed by its body. The creature was slain, and with that, everything went quiet.
The armored mage looked over to Valo and smirked but he wouldn't have been able to see that under the helmet so he nodded instead. He then turned his attention to Genesis and blinked a few times before realizing. "U-uh...Probably should've asked if you wanted...in on this..." He said a bit sheepishly as he gestured at the bloody corpse. He may have gotten a little too caught up in the fighting...but it was Valo's fault for making it look so...fun?
Fun...something Hans rarely associated with fighting. He usually only fights to get the job done, but after meeting folks like Genesis and especially Valo, he found himself loosening up a little in battles.
Hans rubbed the back of his armored head, but as he felt the ground rumble again, Hans turned to see the Juvasaur approaching the three. "E-err, you can have...this one?" he said to the redhead...even though he fell into another fighting stance.
The beast didn't appear to be aggressive however and looked like it was silently reading the three. Its tail then swung out of the way, revealing....treasure!?!?!
Hans had his eyes on the loot with a puzzled expression on his hidden face before raising it back up to look at the beast. With one final exhale from its nose, the dinosaur turned around and started to walk off, going past some trees where it was no longer visible. The dark mage dropped his armor and golem spells as he continued to look where it had left with a questioning look before turning his attention back to the...treasure. It was certainly enough for the three of them...and Hans wasted no time crouching down to try and scoop some of them up...with a little "glow" in his still stoic eyes. He stood back up and just...looked at the loot before turning around to face the others...almost forgetting that he wasn't alone.
He opened his mouth as if he were about to say something, come up with an excuse for his...greedy behavior, but then he closed it, and just gave up on trying to give an explanation. "We did...good." Hans said, both an honest comment...and a half-assed attempt at trying to change the subject. He really thought that they all did a good job here, showing that those months of training together really did pay off.
Assuming that the others were ready, Hans would nod before exiting out of the dungeon...with his arms still wrapped around all that treasure.

Through the use of their grimoire, the user forms a suit of draconic armor made of darkness around themselves and/or others for defensive purposes, but that is not its only use. Honestly, she was thinking of killing both, but if they wanted to get the bird one first, she was game. It was also a bonus that they were all already on their golems in the air. Taking down the flying predator should not be too difficult, considering Valo’s and Hans’ sheer prowess. Little did she know how quickly the fight would be over.
The two mages had jumped on ahead, but Gen hung back a little, observing how the dinosaurs were fighting. Both were giant killers in their own rights, both fearsome monsters that seemed to have stepped right out of an old history book. For now, however, their chosen enemy seemed to have the upper...claw. It definitely had an advantage, as it could dive down and attack the land dinosaur before flying back up and avoiding any incoming attacks.
But now the three mages were here. She was surprised though, when the mercenary simply took his sword and stuck it to the ground. Was he not going to fight then? In that case, Gen had a hand on Chuchote, ready to draw and throw whenever needed.
Valo’s golem was the first to land the first blow, but it was quickly destroyed by the creature’s fierce bite. Its jaw snapped on the golem, disintegrating like it was ash. She would later learn that this was the legendary Joatl, fierce master of the skies. The fire mage had jumped onto the creature itself, but as he punched it, they both started falling down. Valo stopped his pummel by using his staff, which transformed and lengthened, saving him from crashing to the ground.
As the fight progressed, she suddenly saw Hans get up, dark aura radiating like an inferno. He was also coated in a suit of armor, with fancy designs and all. Was he going to fight now? Apparently so, when he jumped into the fray. The shadow mage previously noted that it had a long tail, looking dangerous and disturbing. The said tail swung out to nick the man on the chest—but all it succeeded was a sharp thunk! before it was severed from the rest of its body. Then the greatsword swung, and its head went flying, landing with a low thud! on the dusty ground.
For a few seconds, all was silent.
"E-err, you can have...this one?"
Gen shrugged in response, eyes gleaming. "Reptile’s mine." She claimed.
Or so she thought.
The earth shook again, and she bent her knees, ready to jump at the land dinosaur coming their way. That is, until she glimpsed what was behind it.
Steel grey eyes glittered at the equally glittery stuff. The creature only looked at the trio before disappearing to the trees. Only when it was out of sight did the redhead leapt towards the shining heap. "Nice..." She smirked, running her hand through the gold coins that it left behind. It was definitely a tidy sum, even when split between the three of them. At the sight of all this treasure, Gen could forgive them for not saving her a piece of dinosaur to kill.
"We did...good."
"That we did." If Hans was worried about looking greedy, the female had no qualms in running her hand through the loot, eyes shining brightly at the amount. As long as she could get her fair share of treasure, all was well. Without another word, she started dividing it up, gathering her portion up into her arms before exiting the dungeon. She could definitely buy something good when she got home...maybe that foldable knife she saw the other day...

Valo Stark
"Don't need a reason to seek strength."
Floor 2 | Room 4: BOSS ROOM
As Valo was gathering his bearings after landing some hits on the giant beast, Hans rushed in to face the dinosaur next. "Heeeyyyyyy." Valo said in a sigh. He thought he had dibs on the dinosaur, but apparently not. He was just left with folding his arms and watching Hans finish it off. The dark merc approach to battle was similar to Valo's but yet in way very different at the same time. He definitely had a fighting spirit though he didn't say much, Valo admired that. He wasn't about talk at all, just action. Han's specialized in defense and not just common shields, but very powerful defenses. He created a body armor with scales that resembled a dragon, Valo grinned watching the Joatl's tail just simply bounce off of his armor. Valo was glad to have the dark mage for a partner, they complimented each other pretty well.
The armor also seemed to increase the mages strength, as he gripped it's tail and slammed it back to the ground. Using his sword to cut off it's tail. "Ouch." was all Valo said as he continued to watch. Han's next move finished off the creature for good, slicing off it's head with one fell strike from his weapon. Hans grew to be a very powerful mage, and he was only getting stronger. The fire mage couldn't even help but admire Han's and his strength. He returned his nod with a grin on his face.
But with Hans taking down the Joatl this left only the other dinosaur to deal with, since him and Han's already got his hands dirty. He figured it would be fair to let Genesis fight the other one, Valo knew the red head liked to fight just as much as him if not more so! Speaking of which the Juvasaur started to approach the trio. Valo called out to Genesis. "Yea Gen you can take him! Show him whose boss!" he shouted thinking the giant beast was about to start another fight. But it looked as if the behemoth didn't want to fight. In fact it looked like it was trying to give them something, it moved it's large tail out the way and revealed treasure!
"Oh...nevermind."
Hans was the first one to move and grab the goods. Who knew a man so quiet could be so greedy! Valo rushed in after him. "Hey leave some for me!" he said taking his portion of the gold and treasure. A greedy wide grin on his face as he was counting his share. More coin meant more expensive items he did not need.
