[attr="class","ardereescroll"]Titans Rest. The mana that lay within this place was fell and ancient, with unimaginable power. Ardere ventured into many magical lands, but this one rivaled the Court of the Dragon King himself. Far away in the vast deserts filled with infinite mirages, a power lay similar to this here. Outside of that, the Crimson King had never felt such power. It filled the air with porous effect, echoing throughout the stones and caverns below. The Kasai could feel it on his skin and deep in his bones--it was almost intoxicating. [break][break] Taking a moment to absorb his surroundings, Ardere viewed countless skeletons of Giants from ages long past. Swords forged from ancient steel pierced the earth alongside an eerie wind that seemed to resound the canyons of Giants past. Peering into the Titan's Rest itself, their first objective was to find what was causing distortions here. Even the Captain did not know what lay in wait here but he could hear echoes of fights from centuries ago. Clanging of swords and beating of drums filled his ears and willed his heart to their rhythm. Looking to his two comrades, a devilish smile was plastered across his pale lips. I hear the beating of drums, don't you? In the distance he could see silhouettes of Giants and warriors--specters of sorts. I think they want us to follow, but be on guard gents. Leaping from the boulder he once stood upon, the clinking of metal against earth from his armor silently screeched as he landed on the ground. [break][break] The Crimson Lion cape draped across Ardere's shoulders began to flutter in the wind. Breathing in the dust filled air, it scraped against his lungs. Yet on this same air, blood filled battles were the only scent he could now make out. Memories of the Diamond War flooded back into his mind--he remembered what a battle felt like. Focusing his Ki on the images and specters of warriors, his senses began to tune into a power. Follow me, boys. There was something in the distance; a portal of sorts. Swirling blue and green energy with a view into a bloody battle scene, the portal called to him. The beating of drums began to increase in cadence and in volume. Shouts and screams echoed throughout this chasm, pulling him towards the fighting. It was almost impossible to resist. Some otherworldly force was drawing him towards this portal, one he could not quite explain. While he did not know if Chisana or Zaven felt this same force, he imagined that they did. No words need be said to describe it, but as he was pulled into it, he felt adrenaline rush through his veins. This was a feeling he had not felt in some time--the feeling of war. [break][break]WC: 467
[attr="class","zavenreescroll"] ”A request from Ardere...what could it be?” Zaven said as he sat at his desk and tore open the sealed letter, finding out that it was a request made Zaven lean back as the urgency now left his body in a dull sigh. It appears that another new dungeon has appeared, and this time it was in the Forsaken Region. A place that was secluded in terms of what magic knights patrolled the area. The intent in the letter was clear...Zaven and the Black Bull from Kikka, Chisana were going to be accompanying Captain Ardere in his quest to subjugate or figure out the dungeon’s inner workings. ”An outing with the saviour of Kikka and the boy that made a deal with a daemon...should be peachy.” Zaven had more than a little to say on that matter...the Black Bulls were often unorthodox in their methods, but they meant well...however to make a deal with a daemon was just...weakness in Zaven’s eyes. The Shadow of Dawn sighed before tossing the letter to Hraban who then remembered that Salamander was an integral part of Adrere as well...the spirit was actually excited. [break][break]
Arriving not too long after the designated meeting time, Zaven heard the beating of war drums, old...yet so full of life, and the Shadow of Dawn felt the familiar pull of death all around him. He remembered the last time he felt this way, it was the Diamond War...the blood spilt there, the allies that fell, the chaos...he remembered it all. He inhaled the battle born air and followed Ardere without saying much, his duster was flapping with the wind, the leather was worn out and he just traversed the rocks leading down to where Ardere apparently had a strong feeling the entrance of the dungeon. The bones that littered the ground were of creatures that have not existed in recent history...giants...their time was long gone, but they still had phantoms running through the area. The strong mana was condensed and honestly the place would be an excellent area to train if there was a way to do so with ease. When he arrived next to Ardere and the portal that the man had found he could see the scene before him. The feeling of battle made him smile as the thoughts of killing off these creatures flooded his mind, a dark vision granted from the old personality of Zaven, dubbed Erebus. Zaven would look at the captain and sigh. ”So are we stepping in, or just looking?” He asked as he already unclasped his grimoire and was ready for the next step.
Chisana had been “requested” to join two captains who he had a brief interaction within the past, Ardere the captain of the Crimson Lions and Zaven the Captain of the Golden Dawn. These were the other mountains that Chisana had been researching and learning about after their dealing with the daemons back in Kikka. He hadn’t been quite told about who knew what about his deal with Lilitu but he wasn’t going to allow that to hold him back from learning more about these powerful mages and seeing them actually fight more in person. The briefing he had been given was simply about another dungeon that had manifested but this one was very unlike the others that he had ever encountered. He could feel the mana in the air as if he were trying to swim through it while he walked, it seeped into everything around them. The skeletons of giants laid strewn across the area and their weapons impaled the ground like standing towers of a long-forgotten war, Chisana would have loved to take a moment to study the area and the remains feeling that he would be able to gain some very valuable knowledge just with the time he had. [break][break]
Though he could feel another pull, and this one seemed to come from the dungeon itself. It felt like drums of the largest kind that shook and reverberated Chisana’s very bones almost like a massive heart was in beating. Similar to what you might feel from the Eldritch house but multiplied by a thousand, these beating seemed to call to something deep inside Chisana. It made his heart race and pound, his blood boil with adrenaline, it turned his mind to the simpler activity of fighting an opponent that truly tested your skills and it made Chisana remember all those years training his body every day to get back at those who belittled him and his family. It was like waking up for a deep sleep and working out the muscles you had forgotten about, unfamiliar yet soothing and liberating. Chisana had been the last to show up to the dungeon just behind the other two Captains but he could see they were not upset or annoyed at his tardiness. That was a relief. He listened to both of them speak and it seemed that they would be simply entering the dungeon without any planning beyond, “Stay alive”, it was something that he was use to when it came to working with his own Captain. [break][break]
“Well, I’m not sure how useful I’ll be but I at least won’t be a burden.” Chisana stated as he readied himself for the path forward.

TL;DR Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

[attr="class","ardereescroll"]A mere smirk was the response given to Zaven's comment. I suppose we shall. Geronimo, boys. Falling backwards into the portal, Ardere was transported through time and perhaps even space. The beating of drums was now loud enough to shake his entire body as the group found themselves in an active battlefield. Giants engaged in battle, throwing punches that shook the ground like an earthquake, breathing breaths that created hurricane force winds. This was unlike any battlefield the Crimson King had fought in before. The Titans themselves shook the Earth with their war, splintering the ground like glass with their God-like feet. Sliding across the ground, Ardere's body had become flooded with adrenaline. It was move or die. [break][break] Fuckin' move gents! Leaping out of the way as Giants hit the earth and tumbled across the monolithic plains, Ardere hid behind a rock for a moment. There was not much cover here, but what little he had to hide his presence was of value. Focusing his Ki to sense as much of the field he could, Ardere's best hope was to navigate them through this chaos. What a sight to behold. We have to be careful. Far across the field was a canyon. Something about this canyon beckoned to the fire mage, but it was quite the ways away from their current position. We need to make it to that canyon, somehow. The Titans above them continued to brawl and battle like relentless warriors, breaking and beating each other with ferocity not seen in centuries. These were true Giants, those of which of legends spoke of. Somehow the mana zone had spawned a portal through time. Now they found themselves in this pocket of time, deep in the battles of old. Whether this had anything to do with Asmo or the Shatter was yet to be seen, but it would not surprise him if this was a direct or indirect result of it. Needless to say, they had to act quick. [break][break] The mana here was pure insanity, filled with anger and conviction. The Ki was even more interesting. He could feel the ancient Ki of the Giants around them, but he also felt a distortion in reality. Whether this was due to some time magic or mana zone incident was hard to tell, but it was undoubtedly tied to their presence here. What significance the Canyon held was yet to be seen, but he knew it was their ticket out of this. Something in his gut told him so, and he imagined Zaven and Chisana likely felt it too. Holding his ground was difficult, as the rumbling and tremors of the earth were unlike anything he had felt before. These Giants numbered in the hundreds, filling the plains easily with their might and strength. The Heavens themselves could likely feel this battle due to its intensity. The three mages were in way over their heads, or were they? Digging his feet into the ground, Ardere stood tall and proud. They'd likely have to fight or somehow stop this battle temporarily. There was no getting out of this by sneaking around. Cover was few and far between, not to mention the Giants themselves left little room. Perhaps they could fly over? Doing so without being seen would be unlikely, but they could attempt it. Either way a battle was fairly likely here. This was a fact they'd have to come to terms with whether they liked it or not. [break][break] Room 1 WC: 583/3000
Captain Ardere took lead as to be expected from the Crimson Lion, Chisana naturally followed as easily as if he was following his own Captain. It was how Chisana processed the world, if you were stronger then him and held immense power he simply learned, studied and listened till he had the power to do otherwise till then he would continue to gather information about whoever stood above him to help his own journey to the top of the metaphorical food chain. It was a grand time for the very young mage to learn how to operate in a high level dungeon with both Captain Ardere and Captain Zaven, it would also build connections for Chisana. He was after all around the very few and select individuals that knew about the deal he had made with the daemoness Lilitu during the mission to Kikka which freed it from the enteral darkness that had plagued it for months, those villagers were still adjusting to the sunlight and being able to return to normal live that wasn’t bothered by the various abominations and strict dictatorship that had been set up in the village. [break][break]
Luckily though the daemon’s lives had all been snuffed out and while he wasn’t sure where they would reappear or how they would reappear the fact that he still wore the marking that spoke of his contract he knew that eventually some person, thing or creature would appear in front of him and he would have to fulfill his side of the deal. Bringing himself back to present, Chisana felt the atmosphere completely change around him, they had been transported what seemed back in time smack dab in the middle of a massive battlefield filled with giants in the literal sense of the word. They were engaged in combat that sent gusts of wind in all directions as the warriors swung their massive weapons. Once more the feeling of war and battle filled the 17-year-old mage, he had dealt with small scrabble and the sense of a dread that came from the overpowering feeling that came from those much stronger than you but this was the first time Chisana had ever truly stepped onto a battlefield and one that was filled with the scent of blood. The mana in the air even felt angry and violent, it was like everything about the area was being corrupted by the massive battle in front of the young man. “So, this is War.” Chisana stated with a strange smile on his face, the young man wasn’t even aware that his body was simply reacting to the bloodlust that filled the area. [break][break]
Captain Ardere mentioned that they needed to make it to the canyon that was on the other side of this battlefield, it wouldn’t be impossible but at it stood Chisana was going to need to prepare himself or the very tremors and wind would cause him to fall so he filled his gauntlets and Chest piece with mana and felt their innate abilities improve his own abilities. He was now more than ready to deal with the type of movement he was going to need to be able to keep up with the two Captains. “So do we attack them or do we make a dash to the canyon?” He said as he scanned the battlefield, it was covered in warriors but there were small paths and divisions between the fighting units if they truly wanted to they could simply move between the areas that the engaged groups but it would require precise timing and the use of speed in perfection. Chisana was slowly realizing how vastly different doing a high level dungeon was compared to the simply easy dungeons he had been stuck training inside. This would be a great assessment of his own growth and where he needed to take his training going forward. [break][break]

[attr="class","zavenreescroll"] Zaven was in agreement and did not need to say another word as Ardere went into the next area without much else to go off of besides that their target lay within. Chisana was next to follow the Crimson King into the maw of the dungeon’s next area, without a single word...just like a man, to follow orders when someone is watching you, you don’t want to make a mess of things after all. ”And so the ants go marching in one, by one.” Zaven said coldly with no malicious intent, but his own thoughts drifted elsewhere for a moment as he walked through the lone portal. On the other side, what was awaiting the party was something that could not be expressed in words, however...actions would be what ensures their survival here. That familiar scent of blood, both fresh and old filled his nostrils as the metallic taste could be taken in from the air. This made the hair on his body stand on end as the neurons fired in his brain long before Ardere made the call for them to move their asses. This battlefield would be their grave if they did not put the grease on the fire...so to speak. [break][break]
”A sight to behold is right...however, we are not here for sightseeing, speed is going to be key here...I don’t think this place means for us to fight all these fucks at once.” Zaven chimed in as a giant fell and shook the earth, the fact that the explosion of dirt and much around him did not phaze the captain of the Golden Dawn at all was a little alarming, was he either naive...or was he just so comfortable around death and destruction that this just felt like home? Zaven looked between the two of them as the rock they were hiding behind was used as a tripping hazard, sending a giant toppling over in an instant, the great upheaval made his legs go numb, but the Shadow of Dawn’s face was still stone cold. Ardere’s next order was to get to the canyon, he felt a disturbance there apparently that would be able to lead them hopefully out of this hellscape. Chisana looked a bit weaker than the two apex captain’s there so Zaven had a small solution. ”If I remember correctly from the siege of Kikka and the dealings with those two pieces of garbage, Chisana you are a golem user, if you can summon something to amplify your speed...I would be using here as much as possible. I will take up the rear again, and if I need to...buy us time so we can move on without much incident. Thoughts?” Zaven’s chiming in was not meant to deter from the current issue, but the matter still stood...they could not remain here much longer or they would be trampled even if they tried to fight back it would most likely be a costly uphill battle. [break][break]
Regardless of what they chose to do, he would go with a group decision and hoped that the two would see it in a light similar to his so that they can avoid using as much of their mana as possible. ”I am ready whenever you two are.” He said with a glance up to see the battlefield causing the ambient mana to surge, the shadows around him began to dance, the air began to grow warm, andChisana’s aura seemed to even flare up. The three of them would most likely become fucking beacons if they did not move fast.

[attr="class","ardereescroll"]War. Ardere remembered war. In his bones he recalled what the smoke and blood smelled like, piercing his nostrils and his heart. Feet stomping into the ground, shaking the earth with their steps. This was unlike any battle he had experienced, but in many ways it was all too familiar. The same acts, just a far different scale. Titans that shook the Earth now walked around them. They were but ants to these giants. Their will was to be done and this world would be reshaped in their steps. Their very existence changed and shaped the world they perceived. [break][break] Both Zaven and Chisana were capable of utilizing golems, but there was a simple answer; Ardere could fly. Taking a deep breath, it was likely not the most ideal form of transportation as far as comfortability goes. That being said he could easily carry the both of them with his titanic strength if need be. However that might be a bit embarrassing. If you'd like to use your golems, you may. But I think it would be a bit easier if I provided the transportation. Summoning Salamander is too conspicuous, but if I utilize my own wings than we'd just be flying bugs compared to them. We just have to be quick, as I'm sure they'll feel my mana powering up. However if we move swiftly, they'll never see us. Feeling the ground shake and rumble, there was not much time before someone noticed them. They had to act quickly. Regardless of their decision, Ardere activated his spell: Ryujin. [break][break] As scales began to grow across his body and wings sprouted across his back, he grabbed the two men by their mantles. Bursting into the air high above the giants, he'd take them far away from here. This was of course assuming they had no objections of their own. Don't look down fellas. Unless you'd like. It was a long drop if he dropped them, not that he doubted their survival capabilities but what was down below happened to be terrifying. Their goal was across the canyon. The Ki that called to him reminded the Captain all too much of the portal they entered through. Beating of drums and echoes of the dead reverberated through his mind. Something was calling to him. He could only hope it was not a trap. No it was mostly certainly a trap of sorts, but was it one they could overcome? [break][break] Ardere's wings began to tense up and almost flutter. Was this wind? No. It was the sheer force of the attacks down below, sending torrents of air towards them. Immediately taking evasive action, he attempted to dodge each of these. The Lion managed to be successful, but his flight pattern was very erratic. Hold on boys. This is gonna be a bumpy ride. Far below, forces began to overwhelm one another. Soon a victor would be decided and they'd have time to focus on things like the blazing dragon man flying high above them. He could only pray they were not noticed. Name of Spell: Crimson King: Ryujin[break] Elemental Type: Fire[break] Rank & Spell Type: Grand | Transformation (Transfigure - Transport) | Physical Reinforcement (Speed)[break] Range & Speed: Self | 60 m/s[break] Mana Cost: 40 (20)[break] Stats Effected: +20 m/s[break] Applicable Perks: Mana Conservationist, Predator's Mutation.[break] Description: The user quite literally transmutes their own body to grow wings that appear like those of a dragon, and burst into flames. The user's fingers also extend by 4 inches into claws with red scales that go up his arms/legs/torso and across his face, his feet being subject to the same claw growth as his hands. Ardere's eyes will even turn a piercing yellow, with vertical slit eyelids. The wings themselves are 50 inches. This spell's speed is further increased via the use of Physical Reinforcement magic, causes Ard's veins to pulse as magic flows through them. Ardere can transport others if he wishes, with a maximum of 5 people.
Chisana listened to the captains as they both gave their own tactics and ideas on how to proceed through this battlefield, luckily Chisana had already used his items that greatly boosted his own speed so he wasn’t worried to much about how he was going to keep up but then Ardere offered to simply give them wings and they would just fly above the battlefield like buzzing flies compared to these massive and gigantic warriors that even the swings of their weapons sent literal buffets of wind causing miniature dust devils. Chisana wondered to himself why it was that so many people always just gave themselves wings whenever they had the ability, it was just one of those random things that everyone seems to do once their magic is strong enough to support a person. It was an adjacent to the current situation but it was something that did make him wonder and he was going to see if there was a deeper meaning behind the desire to simply make wings to fly when magic allowed you some creativity freedom on the looks and movement. It was probably a simple answer of “We see everything use wings to fly so we want those to also fly.” Plain and simple but it wasn’t enough for the young Shengxiao who was now flying above the giant warriors as they speed past the gore filled battlefield. Beyond making sure he turned when Ardere turned and didn’t mess around and focus he was able to scan the battlefield in some part. [break][break]
The fight was close to being over or atleast that was how it felt but there was an undertone of never-ending struggle and continual slaughter. Like time only proceeded so far before it was reset back to the beginning, it was probably because no matter how real it felt that this was all simply a massive mana manifestation given form by legends, myths, and rumors. Chisana knew that if they left right now and simply returned some time in the future they would see almost the exact same scene that was playing out right now. “Looks like there is much to be researched about the workings behind the dungeons.” Chisana muttered to himself through the flight. They had reached the other edge of the battlefield and Ardere was leading them towards a giant chasm. [break][break]

[attr="class","zavenreescroll"] Being picked up by Ardere again in his winged form was a blast from the not so far gone past. He blinked as they soared into the sky, the wind was whipping around them as they climbed in altitude towards the heads of the giants and he was at least able to get an accurate read of the battlefield. ”This is a glimpse of the past...or another world much like ours, the shattering must have created temporal disturbances inside certain dungeons. If we had the chance I would love to explore and learn of this place. It looks like it spreads across as far as the eye can see…” Zaven spoke with curiosity before they began their flight pass towards the chasm that lay beyond the main battlefield. When Ardere spoke telling them that they could use their own golems if they would like Zaven did not oppose, he was not really all that fond of being amongst the beasts and things that could crush him without a second thought, but the victor decided what was shown in the annals of history so he just continued to watch as he was carried. ”Big guy, carry away, I will not oppose you on that one.” Zaven said with a calm demeanor. [break][break]
Thinking back to stories he had found, when growing up, or the ones told to him from his father...there was always stories of barbaric giants that fought without regard to their own people, yet these giants definitely answered to their superiors, they wore armor that signified what clan they belonged to, but this was purely war...who knew what for, but what was war good for...from up here it looked like...absolutely nothing. [break][break]
”When we get to the chasm...what is the plan, just fucking dip in, find the portal...if we gotta fight we just pummel whatever the hell is there then just jump on in like a damn pool?” He said with a sarcastic grin as he just continued to watch the area ahead of them.

[attr="class","ardereescroll"]Tactically maneuvering himself and the other around the torrential winds that plagued their ascent towards the cavern, Ardere held tight onto his comrades. The battle below was far more tempestuous than any storm he had weather before. The sheer destruction below--Titans wreaking havoc upon the earth was magnificent in a way. [break][break] Zaven posed a fair question--What was their plan? Once they arrived in the chasm, untold horrors or riches could lie in wait. That was how dungeons so often operated in Clover and even far beyond their borders. Something is guiding me towards it. Whatever it is must be another way past this scene of bloodshed. If we have to fight, then we fight. But I have a feeling out exit is not far away. His Ki sensory was off the charts right now, not just from the Giants below but whatever was inside the canyon held a great power. Perhaps another doorway? Traveling through time was not exactly how he planned on spending his weekend, but it was a curious adventure nonetheless. Even so, they had to press on. Standing around in this cataclysmic battle was likely not good for their health. [break][break] As they grew closer to their destination, Ardere noted the battle seemed to continue into the canyon. How many were there? This force was grand and powerful, but there had to be an answer here. If it was the Gods or just luck that willed them here, he did not now. The Crimson Lion Captain believed there was was a purpose to it, even if this was Asmodeus' doing. Temporal anomaly or not, we have no choice but to move forward. Take note of all you can for now. I'm sure Jagen will appreciate it. Even so, getting pass this battle will not be easy. If things gets too hairy, show these guys what you're made of. Though jumping in like a pool does sound damn appealing. Haha. A smirk crossed his pale lips. Admittedly, the idea of fighting Giants did appeal to him. He was a warrior after all, with a vast love of combat. Fighting creatures so much larger than himself gave him a sense of wonder he so sparing received these days. He could tell the Titans below shared this same love of combat, but they were fighting for something beyond that. There was conviction in their blows. Ardere aimed to find the source of this conviction, whatever they were fighting for. [break][break] The canyon itself was not far off. High above the battle, Ardere would need to begin his descent. This was not exactly in their favor, but it would need to be done nonetheless--He could feel the power drawing him in. Far beyond this battle was magic, magic he could feel in his bones. Of all the places the Crimson King had ventured, the power here was incomparable. Perhaps the Forgotten Tower may trump it, but this was just so much more vast. The Tower was concentrated. Here he could feel his muscles clench, even as an Archmage. Any normal mage would be crushed under its weight. This made him excited. [attr="class","zavenreescroll"] ”Keep it up Ardere my brother, if we can make it past this we can surely make it through the remaining trials that this dungeon has to offer.” He said as he could feel it as well, it was almost making him salivate, this sensation was like being outside when a hot pie was placed in a windowsill. Being dragged towards a tasty morsel and honestly Zaven was having a hard time denying himself that lure. That is when he looked to Chisana and saw that the man had gone limp in Ardere’s hold. ”Shit! Ardere get us somewhere safe as soon as you can, something is wrong with the Black Bull!” Zaven shouted, his tone was serious and he did not hold back, even if he would be seen as rude he still knew the Black Bulls well and a loss for them was not a large loss in the grand scheme of things...but it would be to their boss. Zaven reached over and hit the man’s shoulder to try and rouse the Black Bull, yet nothing happened and Chisana did not move. [break][break]
Inside of his own head he could tell that Chisana was gone, something had happened to the man to cause him to have a sudden loss of his life, and he had faced death before...several times in fact where it would almost make him desensitized to the entire thing, but seeing someone he had fought with, even he did not fully trust...was like taking his heart and punching it repeatedly with the intention of just causing him pain. Silas’s death was similar to this, and while he and Chisana were close...nobody deserved to die in a dungeon...this was lonely, even when surrounded by one's comrades.
