Kikka. A thriving Castle town on the fringes of the Noble sector and famously home to the Magic Knight squad, Purple Orcas. And rightfully so. As a squad renowned for their sturdy defenses and their title as the Kingdoms aegis it was only logical that that the township was heavily fortified with towering stone walls paired with impenetrable ramparts. Citizens both local and abroad walked the paved streets in cohesion with each side of pedestrian traffic separated by direction of transit to allow a more comfortable flow. Merchants and their mounted carts paced towards the numerous stalls littering the market, stopping by smaller shops to deliver supplies and wares from neighboring settlements.
It was a stark contrast to the area in which his own Squad resided, and a reminder on how differently things were between castes. Kusa stood out from the crowd like a black pebble amidst a swarming sea of colour. It was quite apparent he was not a regular or a local to these parts. Were it his own choice he'd have opted to stay away from such a high concentration of Clover citizens, and from the partial glances he got from certain individuals it seemed they more or less felt the same way. As a member of the Black Bull squad he carried a stigma with him every time he donned the ebony robe. His affiliation carried a sense of infamy in its own right as the Squad were known to execute their mandates in a less than desirable manner. It was often the reason they'd managed to rack up a sizeable amount of black stars compared to their counter parts. The dark skinned elf, with his hood drawn over his head, paced towards Kikkas markets. He along with another knight from a different squad were assigned the task to patrol the thriving bazaar. As of yet there were no instances of foul play or dishonesty but in an area where large quantities of Yul were traded there were bound to be individuals who sought to exploit this. Having lower ranked Magic Knights often dissuaded those from such activities, but not always.
Upon reaching the marketplace the ambient sounds of bartering and haggling filled the air as merchants and potential buyers argued their prices. On one end of the scale the stall owners attempted to make money while their counterparts tried to save. It was indeed a delicate balance which fueled the Kingdoms economy. Despite the apparent increase in exchanging aggression, each side understood the rules and regulations of trade which often concluded in the two parties finding some sort of middle ground where seller made a profit and the buyer grabbing a 'bargain'. It was a skill that eluded Kusa.

Jordan and Kenji would find themselves in the castle town of Kikka. The town was quite beautiful in its own way with the theme of brick walls and such that makes up a castle. Jordan had been assigned a mission here in town and of course Kenji tagged along because he has no life. The mission was for Jordan and another magic knight from a different squad and go patrol the streets of the market. Such a easy job was almost always given to low ranking magic knights, as the job itself wasn’t always needed. Such a thing was simply used as a means to prevent any would be crime, however things seemed pretty safe and calm today.
As Jordan and Kenji walked down the street, Kenji had in his hands a device that was made by the former. The small device beeped and beeped every few seconds, and every so often the frequency of the beep would increase to the point it would beep at a rapid pace before slowing to its original pace. This was Jordan’s first prototype of a new invention he was working on, the machine was called Magic Locator System or M.L.S. for short. In a nutshell the device would be tuned to track a certain magical signature and would help one find said person or item. However since this was a prototype only magical levels in general could be picked up which explained the awkward and sporadic beeping.
Kenji would look to Jordan as they walked and would say “Young master is it possible we can turn this off? The beeping is getting upsetting.” Jordan would turn to his travel companion and say “Nope, we can’t!” With a big smile on his face. Jordan would then drop the smile and grin nervously as he would then say “We need to keep it on so we can use this as a test. We came to meet another magic knight… so I figured the thing will go off like crazy once we get close to him.” And was he right. Suddenly as the two got deeper within the market the machine would begin to increase in beeping frequency.
Just as the machine did this Jordan would take his attention away from his front and turn his attention to the machine. This would leave Jordan clueless to the fact he was about to bump someone right in the back. Jordan would walk right into the person’s back and fall right onto his back as the price. Kenji would immediately draw his sword and drop the device in the heat of the moment, as he though the man had pushed Jordan. “Why would you hurt my young master sir? I demand you explain yourself!” He had exclaimed to the person Jordan bumped into.
As Jordan sat on the ground he would see his precious device sitting on the ground broken next to him, presumably it was damaged a few moments ago from Kenji forcefully dropping it. Jordan would let out a loud scream saying “KENJI!!!! WHAT THE HELL MAN!!!” Jordan would quickly get himself back up on his feet, picking up his device in the process. “Kenji do you have any idea how long it will take me to make another prototype? I’ll tell you a long time…” Kenji looked at the device being held in Jordan’s hands and would let out a sigh as he would simply turn to him and say “I apologize young master.”
The heat of the swelling market paired with the environments excitable atmosphere was almost unbearable. The paved lanes dividing the stalls were packed with pedestrians who were both gazing the wares on display and pushing through the crowds to get to their destination. Amidst the gathering buyers and onlookers there were whispers of product quality, the origin of goods and the potential value for investment. There was always an opportunity within the bazaar. You simply had to have the eye and knowledge for it. While locals and foreigners bartered their wares, Kusa was found under the shade cloth of a particular vendor with his emerald gaze fixed on the wares displayed. He'd always had a keen interest on foreign items, especially those from far off lands. It always grasped his attention when he caught the gaze of an exotic weapon or a magical trinket imbued with obscure magics.
He was sure this patrol would be uneventful. Despite the markets draw for large gatherings and crowds, there were few stupid enough to cause a ruckus. The odd child pickpocket or thief would pilfer a few bits of produce or the odd piece of clothing, but rarely would a crime be committed in broad daylight. As a mage of common background and humble upbringings Kusa was well aware that people usually resorted to violence or misdoings as an act of desperation, and that was far more unpredictable. Alas so far the day of patrol was uneventful. It seemed the presence of a few roaming Magic Knights were enough to deter.
Kusa was ready to continue his patrol when he felt something crash into his back, sending him stumbling forwards. Whomever he collided with found themselves on the floor prompting Kusa to extend his hand to help them up. The incident however triggered a rather forward response to the downed persons entourage who demanded some form of recompense, going as far as to draw his sword on a member of the Magic Knights. The dark skinned elf withdrew slightly, unsure as to the wielders intention. His comrade donned the mercury robes of the Silver Eagles so Kusa was confident the sword wielder wasn't ignorant of his standing as a Mage of the Clover Kingdom. Before he could react to the threat the downed person addressed his follower, almost downright scolding him in the middle of the market with on lookers gawking from the edges of the walkway. The matter had been settled between the two, so an intervention was unnecessary.
Kusa was reluctant to extend a helping hand down to the fallen Eagle. His history with nobility was not the cleanest so to speak. But he was on official business as a member of the Black Bulls and his personal qualms were a separate issue. Instead he spoke, his voice soft and almost gentle, comparable to a brisk walk in a meadow. His accent was distorted. Anyone with a trained ear could tell he was from the Clover Kingdom but seemed to pick up nuances from neighboring Countries. His pronunciation of certain words were tainted with the Heart Kingdoms influence "Sorry, I didn't see you there" his eyes scanned the persons general build and attire, confirming what he had first suspected "I take it you are the second Knight of this patrol. I'm Kusa of the Black Bulls" his index finger pointing towards the insignia on his breast "Glad you could make it. I take it he's with you"

After Jordan and Kenji would have their exchange over Kenji breaking the M.L.S., Jordan would return his attention to the man who he bumped. The man would speak saying that his name was Kusa and that he was from the Black Bulls squad. Hearing this put a smile on Jordan’s face, and would prompt Kenji to put his sword back in its sheathe. Jordan could look at the man and tell he wasn’t human, and his voice also gave off the sound that he was not from this country. “Hey my name is Jordan Alexius Stark, and this is my traveling companion Kenji Bushida. And you are right I am the knight sent to patrol with you. The higher ups weren’t very clear on who I was to be working with so I was trying to find you with this device I invented… that was until someone decided to rudely break it.”
Jordan would then look to Kenji and have an annoyed look on his face. Kenji would then let out a sigh before saying “Well young master seeing as you have found your partner for the day I shall leave you to your important country protecting business. However I shall follow you from behind, but know I shall be within earshot if you need me.” Jordan would simply smile and nod before saying “Sure thing Kenji, I’ll see you later.” And with that Kenji would walk off into the crowd of the market, but Jordan knew that he hadn’t gone anywhere far. Part of Kenji’s training in his homeland was espionage, and he was simply using one of those skills right now. With Jordan and Kusa now being left alone together Jordan would begin to walk forward saying “Well lets get this patrol on the road.” Knowing Kusa would surely be right behind him.
As the two would walk Jordan would try fiddling with his broken device for a few moments seeing if there was anything he could do to fix it out here while he was still on the mission. After a while thought he would admit defeat and let out a saddening sigh. “Damn this thing is fried… the magical battery overload the sensors. I guess I’ll have to wait to get back to base to try and fix it…” Jordan would say in a low and disheartened tone, before putting the device in a small pouch he carried behind the back of his waist. Just as he did this the sound of a loud crash could be heard from the distance. Jordan would hear the noise and would immediately look to Kusa.
“We should go see what that was, seemed pretty loud even for the market.” So Jordan would run forward to pinpoint the source of the noise. Running forward for a brief few moments he would come to the scene of the disturbance, with the sound coming from a small street brawl that was on going between two people. From the looks of things Jordan assumed that one man was a shop keeper and the other was a very angry customer. The customer was down on the ground at this point asking the shopkeeper for mercy, however it did not seem as much mercy was on the menu as the man kept walking forward as if he wanted to deal the “finishing blow”. Jordan would of course not sit by and let such a thing happen though.
Jordan would step in between the two men and look the angry man in the eyes and said “Now I don’t know why you are angry, however we can all call this even and go home without either of you going to jail or me having to write up any arrest paperwork. But if that doesn’t work for you I can arrest you and then you’ll be facing a series of charges, including pretty hefty assault charges seeing as you assaulted this man broad day with about 100 witnesses… the choice is yours though.” Hearing the words Jordan said made the man realize he had gone a bit far and maybe he should leave while he was ahead. “Yeah ok kiddy knight, you got it this time, but tell that piece of garbage noble to stop overcharging us commoners. Oh wait you’re a noble too no wonder you came to this guy’s aid anyway…” And with that the man would walk away just as angry as when the situation started.
After the man walked off Jordan would turn his attention to the shopkeeper who laid on the ground. He would stoop down and hand the man a handkerchief so that he could wipe the blood and sweat off his face saying “Here take this so you can wipe yourself up. Me and my comrade will watch over your stall until you come back, and don’t worry take your time.”
As protocol dictated Kusa performed the Three Leaf Salute, a gesture where the three middle fingers are drawn across the chest with the thumb and pinky tucked into the palm. Personally Kusa didn't get along with Nobility and there had been a long standing history of indifference between the Black Bulls and the Silver Eagles. Despite this he was respectful to his duty, thinking of the gesture as saluting the title of Magic Knight and not the person who held it. ""So far nothings out of the ordinary. A few squabbles between peddlers and currency exchange rates otherwise just another day in the Markets. Don't know why the Orcas can't make this their regular patrol though. Saves us from travelling from the otherside of the Kingdom for guard duty.""
The tone of voice carried an edge, but not one sharp enough to cut. He was tired and the weather was getting to him. Not to mention the influx of auditory input causing his mild headache to flare. With two fingers he massaged his temple, taking his colleagues lead as he wandered deeper into the markets labyrinth. During their brief transit Jordan began to emotionally unload about his broken device, something that Kusa couldn't relate to. He hadn't a passion for technology or innovation, instead his interests lay with equality within the Kingdom and was one of the motivating factors to his application. But he admired the ingenuity he possessed. It wasn't exactly a concept he whole heartedly understood, but that didn't mean it wasn't a skillset he couldn't appreciate. Curiously he glanced out of his peripherals "So what does it do? That device. Can't say I've seen its kind. Did you make it?" the conversation was more a time killer. Better to speak of a topic than execute their mandate in complete silence.
No sooner than the conversations inception did a loud crash erupt from further away. With a cluttered market and crowds of people blocking their line of sight the two Knights were unable to see what caused the conundrum. Instead the Silver Eagle took the initiative, bursting through the mist of people to investigate the noise. Following suit Kusa followed, keeping his companion at arms reach while he split a clear path through the markets participants. By the time Kasu came to the source of the commotion Jordan had stood between attacker and victim, his air of authority dictating the outcome. There was no way the aggressor was going to defy a Magic Knights directive, especially with a second squad member in the outskirts. In a last act of saving face the customer took a below the belt jab towards Jordan, insinuating his call to duty was in heavy favor towards his fellow nobleman.
Kusa simply shook his head, watching the crowd disperse before the merchant left to tend to his wounds. Jordan had arranged for the two Knights to watch over his wares until he got back, a task Kusa was hesitant to perform. The market was a large area to patrol and leaving two watchman in a single location was prone to accident further away. Kusa rested his gaze on Jordan and inspected him from head to toe ""You handled that well. But he was right you know. Commoners are always subjected to ridicule and sour treatment by those of higher blood. Though he was ignorant to assume you were doing anything BUT your duty." The Black Bull member stood silently for a moment as he continued to scour the ocean of heads travelling from one end of the bazaar to the other 'Look over there" his long index finger extended out east of their current position, pointing towards a separate cluster of people gathered around a peddling cart carrying international goods. No doubt a merchant convoy travelling between major cities trading wares where they settle.
On first glance it seemed like nothing special but Kusa noticed a distressed look on the coach riders face as his eyes desperately sought something from the passing crowd "Does he look a little uncomfortable to you?" he was no expert in reading Dwarven emotion, but panic was a universal translation across all races "You've already promised the merchant we'd watch over his stall until his return. I can stay here and hold the fort. Did you want to investigate further? Ill follow your lead"

The incident was now over and the man had went to take a short leave so he could attend to his wounds. Hs was merely a non magical fist fight so Jordan was sure the man would without a doubt be fine. Just after the man had left his partner Kusa had appeared and told him that he handled the situation well, although the commoner man was right about how they are constantly mistreated. The boy could do nothing but feel bad, he felt like since he became a magic knight his nobility has done nothing but gotten in the way in some way or another. Even the magic knight Griswald who he had worked with before had said slight things about it although those were more so jokes than anything. Jordan however knew that behind all jokes there was some truth, and the truth of the matter was that the commoners seemingly hated all nobility, regardless of age, race or sex.
He tried to not let the words the man spoke crowd his mind but then he would hear Kusa speak saying that he believed a man looked very uncomfortable. In his mind Jordan wondered why Kusa would speak on anyone and how comfortable they appeared to be, but he figured this must have been a real reason he said this. Kusa would point in the direction of the man in question and Jordan too would plant his eagle eyes in the direction. The man was driving a cart but the people around him seemed a little sketchy.
Everything had made itself clear when out of the crowded a large blast could be heard, the sound was so close it had to have been damn near right next to them. Smoke started to rise from the area that the man and the cart were in. Jordan would immediately rush forward to see what had happened. However he rushed in so fast he hadn’t given any time for the smoke to settle, and so he was walking in blind. After a few moments and powerful gust of wind the smoke would vanish and you would see the cart, although damaged by whatever had caused the blast it was being protected by none other than Kenji.
The young adult stood in front of the cart with his sword draw and held in a battle ready position. He looked down at his arm as he felt a bit of pain and saw that his mana skin had begun to crack. He laughed a bit before saying “Wow who would have thought I would have been able to stop that bomb with my sword. From how it felt I’m assuming that wasn’t anything magical and that you also used a very small amount of gunpowder which means you just wanted a smoke bomb.” As the smoke cleared more Jordan could see the full picture of what was going on, as now there appeared to be a group of bandits surrounding the cart along with the two boys.
“You stupid kids ruined our plans to take things fast and almost without incident. Now you are gonna make us do things the hard way.” It appeared to be 8 men in the group of bandits, however even with numbers like this Jordan didn’t think anyone would be crazy enough to attack the bazaar in broad day in such a way. To him that said that these people were either very bold or very desperate.
It happened almost too quickly. One moment a potential conflict was unfolding and in an instant they were surrounded in smoke. Kusa reacted by grabbing the bottom corner of his robe and pulling its draped material over his face, acting as a primitive filter. Reaching out his left hand towards his Grimoire he internally visualized a map of his surroundings, knowing that mana would serve as a better sense than his compromised vision "Plant Magic: Sniveys Sense". The book reacted as it levitated from his hip holster to his side, its dirt filled parchment flipping to the appropriate page of the spell before activating. From the center of the unfolded Grimoire manifested a small bundle of seeds which gently floated atop the vessel in which is was created. With a tap of his sandaled foot the seeds buried themselves into the stone paved floor with tiny roots growing down between the walkways cracks. Almost at an instant the mana which served as the spells catalyst sprung outwards causing grass to creep upwards around Kusa, the tips of their emerald stalks swaying with the gentle winds blowing through the market. In front of him the grass began to wane in parts while grow in others, their collection forming into a map representing a circumference around the caster. The grass which grew around him acted like tiny sensors sensitive to the subtle mana signatures projected by living creatures, feeding that information back to the spells nexus to create a live map that 'refreshed' after a few seconds.
A single black clover sprouted from the mapping spell which in this instance represented Kusa. Further forward another field flower slowly expanded from the bulb followed by another. These represented his fellow Magic Knight and his follower. In a single color more buds began to crop up from the sea of growth which displayed the locations of every other party present at this altercation. A cluster of unmoving objects on the map caught his eye. While everyone else was fleeing the epicenter this group opted to stay in the same place. The only conclusion was that they were the culprits responsible. As a notice of warning he spoke out so Jordan could hear him "Stay alert! There's a group just ahead."
No sooner had the words left his mouth had the smoke cleared, showing the forms of around ten people. Eight of them seemed to be the aggressors while the remaining two appeared the victims. While one of them was voicing his outrage at the Magic Knights interference, Kusa began to activate his next spell. With a wave of his hand his Grimoires pages were flipped once again "Plant Magic: Oddishs Thicket." Two thick bundles of intertwined grass shot from the pages, sliding along the ground like a snake and towards the feet of one of the aggressors. The concentration of vegetation broke off into smaller strands, each one wrapping around their legs individually before planting themselves firmly in the ground. From their roots sprouted thicket, more hardly grass which grew denser around their shins and knees making it more difficult for them to move quickly from their spot. Additionally the spell slowly drained their magic as the constricted grass sapped their mana, feeding its leeched supply back to the caster.

Just as it appeared the party with Jordan and Kenji vs the bandits was about to begin, it appeared Kusa might have started it early as grass snaking along the ground had come and grabbed up one of the men and restrained him by the legs making him completely immobile. The man would scream a bit from shock or terror saying “What the hell?! Get these weeds of of me!! Where did this shit even come from?” Kenji scoffed a bit before jumping into action. He would rush the man who had been captured by the grass with his sword, placing a well aimed strike at his tendon in his leg. As he did this another man rushed to his comrades aid, however he was given the same leg strike that his partner had gotten.
Kenji would look down at both men who screamed from the pain of having their tendon sliced as he would say “Thats so sad… I guess bandits in this country prioritize protecting themselves from magic. You should think more about opponents who don’t use magic more.” As Kenji gave his two fallen foes a speech 2 more of the bandits had tried to sneak the young adult, however Jordan had came to his aid. “Solar Enhancement: Sustain” Jordan would say as he threw his fist in the air, just before his body would begin to glow a bright orange color. He then would rush to Kenji’s backside where the two bandits were aiming their attack.
The first of the two bandits struck Jordan with a club right across his head, to which Jordan laughed a bit before saying “Stop man that tickles haha.” The man’s attack was clearly ineffective due to Jordan’s Physical reinforcement magic. After the man’s attack was shown to be a failure Jordan would raise his fist to the sky again before saying “Mode switch, Solar Enhancement: Strength” The young teen’s orange aura would disappear shortly before reappearing. This time however Jordan would take the offense before the men decided to attack again after the shock value of having their first attack not work disappeared.
Jordan threw a 2 punch combo at the first man, which was thankfully enough to drop the man to the ground. The second man push forward after the first was dropped, to which he got the same treatment two well aimed punches and he was out for the night. Kenji would turn to see Jordan had saved him, but he seemed not the least bit concerned about the other bandits… it was if his trust within Jordan was so great he knew that the young man would watch his back and protect him if need be. “Young master, where is your magic knight companion? I can only assume~” yet another speech interrupted as more bandits would begin to step up.
Kenji would place a cut on the arm tendons of both the men which would completely remove them from the fight, and increase the rate of their blood loss. Jordan would look at the remaining bandits as his body still glowed with the orange aura. “So that’s 4 of you out of 8 gone do the rest of you wanna keep this up, or should we just end it and everyone go to jail peacefully?” Jordan would say as he tried to read how the rest of the situation was going to go.

The smoke began to disperse prompting Kusa to disengage his initial spell, causing the surrounding growth of grass to recede back between the pavements. While Jordan and his companion were disabling the aggressors, Kusa was scanning the area in front of him, ensuring his allies blind sides were covered. This was the first time the Bull had got to see the Eagles magic, his spells utilizing some sort of energy to enhance their physical capabilities. At least that was his initial assessment which was vague in his limited observation. His 'bodyguard' proved useful in the fray as well as his sharp blade sliced skillfully placed cuts to disarm their aggressors without fatal intent. They'd have a hard time explaining their execution of justice with dead bodies behind them.
From their combined efforts they had managed to take down half of the group of Bandits. Not a bad effort for a rag tag team with zero team building experience. They moved in their own pace during battle and hoped they'd not accidently hit the other in the heat of engagement. Kusa was glad he'd paired with another Magic Knight who had some offensive capabilities. As a Mage with one of the lowest tiers of Grimoire matched with a rudimentary magic, Kusa had been dealt with a unique way to make his inoffensive spells useful, forcing him to be creative in order to keep up with the more naturally talented and gifted Knights. He had to know his limitations and constantly think of ways to overcome his destructive shortcomings. His answer was becoming the best support. In his current state he'd never become the Squads heavy hitter or completely demolish the opposition through dominating spells. And he wouldn't be the aegis that stood between the Clover Kingdoms foes and her citizens. Instead he'd be the mage that supported his allies from the rear, ensnaring his foes and draining them slowly of the mana they so rightfully relied upon.
Kusa leapt off his back foot and sprinted towards the remaining Bandits across the road, leaving the trading stall unattended. The circumstances dictated it necessary. Once he got within 20 meters he began chanting the magic in his mind to activate the Grimoires casting sequence. He muttered the incantation "Plant Magic: Exeggutes Drowning Wail" causing his Grimoire to create a ball of intertwined strands of grass to rise from the opened pages. Much like his last spell, this effect hovered for a brief moment, the crux of its effect activating as soon as the ball of mana expanded to its epicenter, triggering a minute explosion. The outward pressure shredded the grass, sending blades scattering in an area covering a 20 meter diameter. Anyone caught in the radius was subjected to the spells illusionary effect consisting of a loud wail, sounds of howling winds and crashing vegetation drowning out their sense of hearing. Unfortunately Kusa was still in the beginning stages of his magecraft and the proficiency of his spells were far from mastered. As a result of this ANYONE caught, including civilians, were subjected to the illusion. But Kusa had some measure of control in manipulating the mana patters, ensuring Jordan was immune to its sensory manipulation. His companion however would also be caught. While the Bandits were under its influence Kusa hoped Jordan would disperse of the remaining threat so he could deactivate his spell.

As half of the bandit team was down for the count, Jordan, Kusa, and Kenji were all unharmed and still full of energy. The defect leader of the bandit team would step up and say “You kids are a handful… But don’t worry we will drop your bodies in the woods for the mana beast to eat!” Jordan scoffed before he would speak saying “If that’s what you think… Kenji was right though. You guys leave yourself vulnerable to physical attacks, sadly for you guys the three of us don’t use magic purely offensively…” As he said this Kenji would walk up to his side with his sword in hand ready for their next attack.
Kenji and Jordan would lock eyes for a few seconds before Kenji would say “Young master should we use the combination attack?” Jordan had begun to think for a few seconds before nodding his head and saying “We haven’t used it practically or even both of us at the same time like an actual combo. However I guess this may serve as a test of practicality.” Jordan would raise his hand in towards the sky one more time saying “Dual Enhancement, activate Solar Enhancement: Speed!” And with that the orange aura around his body would begin to glow just a bit brighter as the new spell began to take effect.
After the spell took effect Jordan and Kenji would both sprint forward with Jordan taking the lead due to his new spell enhancing his speed beyond anything Kenji could do without magic. Jordan moved with such speed it seemed as if the bandits had a hard time keeping up with the naked eye, the fact that his body glowed orange was the only thing helping them. The remaining bandits were lined up side by side, an almost perfect set up for what the duo was gonna be attempting.
Jordan would zoom in grabbing 2 bandits one in each hand, slamming their bodies to the ground. He would then grab the next to and do the same to them and leaving them all directly in a more grouped up space. Now having them all in a smaller area he would run around them as fast as he could to try and keep them distracted and focused on himself. Meanwhile Kenji was a few meters away preparing to launch his attack. Water gathered around the edge of the swordsman’s sword, and he would begin to grab it with both of his hands, obviously preparing for an actual magical attack.
“First Form: Water Surface Slash!” The man would swing his weapon in a right to left slashing motion, which would send the water on the edge of his blade flying forward in the form of a crescent shaped arc. Jordan would of course know the attack was coming and made sure he gave himself enough time to get out of the way. While this was going on Kusa had also activated a spell, which was made to effect everyone’s sense of hearing. Luckily the spell hadn’t taken effect until after the duo had made their plan as the spell made it so Kenji could not hear anything. However he was a swordsman, a true warrior and he knew that hearing wasn’t something he needed in order to finish this fight.
The duo would watch as the spell flew forward and the men were still trying to regain their footing after being flung to the ground. The arc flew forward until the sound of water crashing against a hard surface could be heard. The slash of water would hit all 4 of the remaining men, which had them all dropping to the ground like a bunch of flies hit with poison. Jordan would smile as the men dropped and his orange aura would fade away. He then turned his attention to Kusa pointing at his ears and then began yelling as if they were far away from each other but in reality they were probably only a few meters away.
“HEY KUSA CAN YOU DEACTIVATE THAT SPELL? THAT WAS YOU RIGHT?” Meanwhile Kenji had dropped his sword and had fallen to one knee for a brief moment thinking to himself *Damn I used so much of my little magic in that one attack. I feel taxed already and I barely did anything…* WC:723 TWC: 3266 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Name of Spell: Solar Enhancer: Strength Elemental Type: Solar Rank & Spell Type: Junior/Physical Reinforcement Range & Speed: Self/ 10 m/s Mana Cost: 10/5 Stats Effected: Junior physical damage Applicable Perks: N/A Description: The user holds one hand to the sky and forms a fist, generating raw solar energy from the sun. Jordan and Kenji lived up to their suspected abilities, and Kusa now saw why his fellow Knight was a member of the Silver Eagles. Their joining requirements were stringent and their Captain had an eye for talent. Jordans display and the ease in which he dispersed of the Bandits confirmed this as his Solar enriched body enhanced his abilities beyond that of a normal magician. In one co ordinated swoop the duo managed to incapacitate the enemies with waves of water crashing into their bodies as they struggled to function amidst the auditory barrage of his spells auditory manipulation.
The engagement ended almost as quickly as it begun, both a testament to how weak the Bandits were and the higher level of skill possessed by both Knights. As soon as Kusa was confident that all threats were dispatched he'd deactivate his spell causing the swirling blades of grass to dissipate in conjunction with its sensory effects, causing the screech of clashing wind and vegetation to gradually die out. The few fleeing citizens caught in the spell began to regain their composure, standing up to rub their irritated ears. They looked at the Elf clad in the ebony robes of the Black Bull, sniggering as they complained about the discomfort they felt at his expense, some even voicing their discouragement out aloud. Unfortunately to the majority of the Clover Kingdoms citizenry his Squad were seen as a band of magical misfits and carried a particular stigma of being the worst of the Magic Knights. It was a common misconception, but one Kusa did not feel on educating. Instead he simply looked at the bypasses with sideways glance, dismissing their voices of outrage to check on his companions.
His slender fingers brushed through his dark green hair, brushing the small bits of debris from his long locks. "My apologies Kenji. As I am I only have a certain measure of control of my spells targeted effects. While I was able to shield Jordan from its debilitation it seems you were caught in its illusion. But well done, both of you. Without your assistance I believe more damage would have been sustained in the conflict. I'll be sure to highlight the level of your actions in my official debriefing. You two work on apprehending the aggressors while I gather a few of the local guards. They can transport these criminals to the cellars." Kusa stood at loose attention, placing the three extended fingers of his index, middle and ring finger along his chest while tucking in his pinky and thumb. It was the salute of the three leaved Clover, and the typical affirmation of the Magic Knights within the Kingdom "Jordan Stark of the Silver Eagles. Kenji. It has been a pleasure. I do hope we have the opportunity to work together again."
With that said he turned around on his heel and began to pace towards the guards outpost where he would debrief them of the events which unfolded in the market square. Upon his departure he'd garnered the attention of the citizens who were able to view the fight from further away, seeing that their fellow citizens were caught in his spell. As they passed him they'd whisper amongst themselves.
"Did you see that? That Black Bull executed a spell that effected those other people!" "What'd you expect? He's apart of those misfits, you know they are no good...." "Someone should report him" "That dirty common born Elf. He belongs with those low lifes"
They were things he'd become accustomed to hearing, but he'd steeled his resolve when donning the Black. He was aware of the citizens outlook on his status, especially those of higher blood. But he chose to not let it phase him.
He'd continue the role of Magic Knight to the best of his abilities, serving those who needed help even if they viewed him in a lesser light.

Kusa would deactivate his spell and Kenji’s hearing along with everyone else’s would return. Kusa would say that Jordan and Kenji should restrain the defeated bandits, while he would head off to debrief the guards and get them to come and transport the criminals. Jordan would simply nod before Kusa would turn heel and begin to head the other way. Jordan would turn to see Kenji on the ground and would run over to aid him.
Picking his family friend off the ground he would look him in the eye and say “Are you ok Kenji? I know you aren’t used to using magic, that attack must have took a lot out of you.” Kenji would simply look at Jordan and let off a smile saying “You don’t need to worry about me young master.” Jordan would make an angry face before hitting Kenji in the head in a comedic fashion, sending him right back to the ground as he would say “I told you to just call me Jordan like 20 times already.”
After Jordan would help Kenji back up onto his feet yet again the two would begin to restrain all the defeated and knocked out bandits. After all the bandits were restrained the two would sit and wait a few moments before a troop of guards came. The captain would step forward and salute to the two before saying “Thank you magic knights, we shall take it from here though.” Jordan would salute and Kenji would bow before the two would walk off and begin to make their way home.
