[attr="class","zavenreescroll"] Zaven separated from his group pretty early on, he tried his best to not be around people he knew, he even bought a festive mask from a stall to hide his identity...which when you are a world renown Magic Knight, Royal Knight, and provincial leader. His mask allowed him to at least have some people hard pressed to guess what the identity of the man was; It was a mask fashioned after that of an Oni...it was ornate and quite eye catching, but without Hraban floating readily around him or his shadows trying to move around...he was able to enjoy just casual looks and inquisitive glances before everyone just went back to their own business. [break][break]
Nearing the outskirts of Hage village he found an area that was sectioned off from the rest, and inside of the area were the shambling...corpses of the undead. They were of course contained, and actually Zaven suspected them even being golems of some sort. He was going to pass by it without much thought, but the adrenaline was contagious as he thought about playing naive or limiting himself to only a select few of his spells in a situation such as this. ”This is interesting at least...from a fun viewpoint that is...impractical otherwise. What do I have to lose…” He was already turning towards the attraction entrance. The Shadow of Dawn was showing a side of himself for a moment that betrayed all normal thought of what the captain of a Royal Knight squad would be doing at the spirit festival.

Jin Zhongli
Aeila, Fredrick, Jin and the lantern he carried started to just walk about the Festival. Considering this was probably Aeila's first time at a Festival he figured he would let her pick out the things she wanted to do. But since she had no idea yet, they just started to walk around until something of interest caught their eye. Jin had not been to many festivals in his youth, just a few every now and then. And when he was in one it was for work and not for games, so in a way this was also his first time as well.
If anyone knew who they really were, and what they did in the shadows and night it would be easy to think what are rogues doing in a festival like this. The question did pop in Jin's mind every now and then, but luckily they both were relatively unknown rogues. With virtually no reason or evidence to suspect them of any crime. His demeanor sometimes on the outside doesn't give off the aura that he is a young man with very big plans and even bigger goals. He can sometimes come off aloof, jovial, carefree and very much a jokester to some. But aside from that Jin's mind was surprisingly always thinking about the future. For now he was having his 'fun' but in the next few months things could be getting allot more serious not only for him but for Aeila too. So these Festivals and balls and events that all these towns liked to host, it was best they take part in them now for they may not have the opportunity to do so in the future.
"Zombie Hunt." The white haired rogue said out loud, the sign getting his attention. "This looks fun." Jin stepped closer reading the rules of the pretty simple game. "Zombie's are decayed golems, no need to hold back! But they are on a rampage take out as many as you can! Hmmm. Let's do this one first." Jin continued to read the sign and then suggested to Aeila pointing forward. His mind though was tracing back to his history with decay magic, the magic of his mother Jukane Zhongli. She was an expert in it's use, even the simplest tough from one of her spells could rot an entire body part in seconds. Jin for the most part kept his cool on the outside, and only a sliver of a shiver was seen on his spine for a fraction of a second. The horrors his mother would put him and his siblings through when a mission failed, or they weren't listening. He knew what decay magic felt like, and he did not miss it. Not at all. But these were just golems and the fear of his mother was long gone, at least thats what he told himself.
A smile appeared on his face as the thought of destroying some decayed golems bought some pleasure to him. His mind already imagining they were his mother's decayed golem spells, and how much he would like to rip a few of them to shreds. "Yea. yea. Let's do this one. You can choose the next activity promise." Jin said to Aeila as he was walking inside, his smile turning into a devilish grin. The lantern hearing about this zombie hunting activity decided to speak it's mind. "This sort of training is inadequate for the type of training I can give you both. The Mana Zone of shadows is where we should go." it stated in a somewhat greedy tone of voice. Jin had his eyes trained on going forward before answering. "This is not a training session. We're just going to have a little bit of fun, crushing some golems. It's part of the festival or whatever." Jin replied to the lantern with a hint of excitement and annoyance in his voice. He was starting to think bringing this lantern along with him was a bad idea.
"...fun? Why waste time having fun? When there is training to be done and more power to be had! Do you not seek the power and a higher sense of strength! I can sense the potential in both of you, and it is something even kings would fear. If we only headed for The Mana Zone of the Shadows we can begin-." The lantern was cut off, from Jin's palm literally grabbing it to get it to finally shut up. "Sssshhhh now. I'm starting to regret getting my hands on you already." Jin replied rolling his eyes. It seemed this lantern really and truly believed in it's training to lead a higher realm of strength. Which Jin was looking forward too, not only for him as he was barely scratching the surface of what his magic element was capable of. But for Aeila as well as her wraith abilities could truly be terrifying the more she grew in strength. They both were in a similar boat when it came to their capabilities. But right now wasn't the time for training, it was time for a little fun.
Walking in there wasn't many people around, but Jin did notice a tall figure wearing an oni mask. But his sensory was letting him know what this individuals power was well beyond average. Jin couldn't exactly pinpoint it, but he had to be as powerful as a Magic Knight Captain or even stronger. An annoyed look was written all over Jin's face, because no matter where he went he always ended up working with or next to a very powerful individual. And usually powerful individuals were worthy of note and a big risk for people like him to be around, what made this encounter even more annoying was he couldn't tell who this guy was. "Welp we're already here." he said out loud but it was mostly to himself, as no one outside of Aeila and Fredrick probably heard it.
But attention would quickly be drawn elsewhere as two zombie like golems started to run a decent speed towards Aeila and Jin!

Aelia and Fredrick were walking around the festival grounds, it was a new experience for the raven-haired necromancer. She was more lively than her normal scared and stoic self, she had no idea why she was feeling such a way, she was wondering if it was what the grounds meant but she would wait to ask when she was away from the crowds. Fredrick was taking her to gain a small treat of a candy apple, this was so she could get used to the seasonal treats, but as they moved towards the stall the pair heard a familiar voice calling out to them making them stop and turn around to see the owner of the voice. Seeing Jin she smiled and gave a small curtsy as he tipped his hat to them, Fredrick didn't seem interested in the slightest but that was normal for the now deceased noble.
It was when the stark haired male spoke it made the pale cheeks of the raven-haired teen noticeably redden, she could only shake her head at his words. She did enjoy the dress, it was comfortable and allowed her to hide her grimoire while allowing her to keep it close to her. The thing was as much as she would happily wear this more often it wasn't practical for her line of work compared to her everyday clothing. Then again, she guessed she could speak to Fredrick to get one that would be more practical while remaining like this, but then, it would also attract attention that she neither wanted nor needed so it was okay for special occasions but she wouldn't get to use to it. "Thank you, look handsome." she said to the other with a smile on her face, she was genuinely happy she could enjoy her first festival with him.
When he said that he had found something and brought out what looked like a creepy old lantern with a face in it she leaned forward as it began to talk. Without a second thought or any hesitation, she brought up her finger and poked it right where his nose would be "Beep." she said simply with a smile and gentle playful giggle, she was nothing like the scared girl she was but that may have been because of the energy around her. She listened to his words and tilted her head and flicked her hand dismissively "I have knowledge beyond yours and if I require help I will ask my family for it not a poor excuse for a spirit." she said suddenly, her eyes going wide as she spoke in such a manner, her eyes going to Fredrick as she began to shake as if frightened.
"No need to worry, the energies around the grounds are stimulating you more than expected." he said attempting to calm her, in truth, he had no idea what was going on but it seemed to be helping her as she nodded "S... sorry..." she whispered almost as if she believed herself in trouble for her outburst. "You must really get over that little quirk of yours, you are stronger than that." he said almost in a frustrated tone, he understood that she was outside of her element and she was making progress but he also knew it needed to move faster or there were going to be issues for her and Jin. Fredrick looked to the lantern as it spoke to him "Will you please shut up before I break you because unless you can revive me or fix her you are useless to me." he said coldly not caring how his words came off.
Aelia heard Fredrick's words and flinched subtly not just at the tone but at him calling her broken, she couldn't exactly argue the fact because she knew she wasn't like everyone else but she was trying to better herself, she just didn't realize it wasn't good enough. When Jin put the lantern away he then asked the necromancer what they should do first but he would already know that her experiences were limited and as she had never been to something like this before she wouldn't know what there was to do "Not know." she said looking to him before looking around at the people in the crowd having fun, she just started to walk with the other in the hopes that something would catch their attention to do. She already knew that though he had more freedom than she did given their job even his experience of these things would be limited.
It was while they were walking that Jin said two words that made her stop, before looking at Fredrick. "Think about your family just dumb." he said, she shook her head not liking that idea "Unlike us they aren't real, never have been even if they look like they once were." he clarified hoping he could help her understand the difference between how her own magic worked and the decay magic they were about to go against if they did take on this game. She looked at Jin as he said that they should play this game first, she was hesitant because Fredrick had made a connection between these soulless golems and her own wraiths. "Okay..." she whispered, she noticed the subtle shiver and tilted her head, she guessed he had his own memories with decay golems and wanted to face a fear, she didn't want to deny a chance for him to better himself.
She nodded when he said that she could choose the next activity and smiled as she followed him inside the area where the activity would be taking place. She looked to the lantern as it spoke, she didn't need to say a word as Jin had already handled it by saying this wasn't a training session. "Fredrick say fun needed" she commented noticing the wraith wasn't with her confused but then she knew that he wanted her to spread her wings without someone looking over her shoulders all the time. "Strength two edge blade... not always good." she said shaking her head. She knew that in their line of work that they did require strength but that strength would also bring eyes they didn't need on them, especially when they were trying to keep a low profile.
She remained still and looked to the tall man wearing the oni mask, she herself hadn't really learned any sensory as her magic didn't really allow for such things but it didn't mean her family couldn't make up for such a weakness. On this occasion, however, she was close to the person behind the mask and could tell they were powerful. This unnerved her a little but she didn't show any signs of it, it was a weakness that could be read if the person knew what to look for but it was at this point she decided that she had just become a mute due to her broken language. Noticing the two 'zombies' she pointed to them to get Jin and the masked person's attention to show that this 'game' had seemingly started.
Jin's Magic she knew could be mistaken for Shadow or perhaps pure aura with an oddity her magic on the other hand wasn't so easily hidden. She made a note that she and Fredrick would need to get her a weapon for these sorts of situations but for now she was stuck with what she had, on the plus side other than the colour of her hair she looked completely different and so could maybe get away with her magic only time would tell.

Jiro had his doubts at first, but after a bit of mana sensing, there was no mistaking it. He recognized that mana from anywhere. It was his brother who was older than him by one year...
Jin Zhongli....
It's been long since he last saw Jin....maybe a little too long. There was a hint of shock on Jiro's face upon the realization, but it quickly vanished, making way for an interested grin. To think he would find Jin here of all places certainly hadn't crossed the decay mage's mind, but he was more than welcome to the surprise. Was he currently performing a job? It didn't seem as such. He was also curious about the other two who were with him...especially the woman. Jiro was not familiar with them...and is that a lantern in the void mage's possession? Jiro had many questions and wanted to confront his dear brother, but not just yet. Those three appeared to have been preoccupied talking, so Jiro kept his distance for a bit which was a specialty of his....hiding in plain sight.
The redhead was also hungry, and fortunately for him, there was a food stand nearby. This particular one was selling these little donuts on a stick and despite the bitterness of his magic, Jiro wasn't the kind to turn down sweets. "Hey, I'll take a box of them, please." Jiro claimed with a calm smile. About six of them with different colors and designs were packed into a small box which was handed to Jiro after the payment was made. The laidback Zhongli took one out and sank his teeth into the treat. With just one bite, Jiro nodded in approval before taking another bite.
Continuing to keep his distance from Jin and the others...with food in hand, Jiro was about to take another bite but stopped as he watched them enter a different area. With an eyebrow raised, Jiro approached this entrance and looked over at the sign.
"Zombie Hunt?" he said to himself. Jiro silently read the rules, however, and immediately smirked upon reading one certain part. "Zombie's are decayed golems" is what it said. Formed from decay magic? This was something Jiro needed to see. Other than himself, the only other time Jiro has experienced decay magic was....from his "mother" Jukane Zhongli. Magic fitting for a terrifying woman such as her. Although he rightfully fears Jukane and her magic from experience, a part of Jiro has also grown to admire it for the same reasons even before he found about his own element. It was his first real experience to curses which he has grown to view as true art. A form of magic capable of wearing others down until they are nothing but a rotting corpse...true art in the eyes of this rogue. Jiro was really looking forward to this.
So, the red-haired man entered and took a good look around. There weren't as many folks inside as there were outside so Jiro was able to spot Jin even without sensing his mana. He did notice that they appeared to be short one person now? Where did that other guy go? His pondering over that didn't last however as he felt another mana signature...one far greater than anyone else in here. His green eyes shifted over to a man in an oni mask which concealed his identity. "Got all sorts of folks around these parts." He muttered to himself, appearing a little amused. Jiro was a bit uneasy about this, but he was trained to not let his nerves get the best of him.
But Jiro's attention was once again ripped away by the hissing sound of zombies!
Two of those things were fast approaching Jin and the mystery woman, and as this happened, Jiro bit into the donut treat he was eating so that he could hold it with his mouth. Now with a free hand, sinister ash-like particles formed around said hand before turning into a crossbow, formed out of Jiro's decay magic. Ashes floated around the spell-formed weapon as he took aim at one of the zombies. With an eye closed, Jiro pulled the trigger and an arrow formed from the same element appeared and fired from the crossbow, striking one of the zombies between the eyes!
Jiro's crossbow then vanished, allowing him to take his snack from out of his mouth as he started to walk towards the white-haired, and raven-haired duo. His attention was primarily on Jin with an expression as if he were silently judging his older brother. It really is him...After all this time. There were so many questions Jiro needed answers to, not only for himself...but their mother. But for now, there was only one question Jiro wanted to ask...
"....Would you two care for a snack?" Jiro asked, looking over to the raven-haired woman now with a warm smile on his face. He held the box out and opened it, revealing more of those donut sticks like the one in his free hand. "They're really good." He claimed before finishing the one he was eating. He then gave Jin a brief, knowing glance before looking over at the man with the oni mask. "What about you? Got enough for three." But then his attention went back to the other zombie that was approaching....along with a few more...
Despite how carefree he was being, Jiro was by all means not being careless. He knew what he was doing...
A decay spell that surprisingly does not focus on hexes. After opening his grimoire on the correct spell page, Jiro manifests a 14in crossbow formed from his sinister element with a sickly aura and dark ash-like particles floating around it. Once a round if the spell is sustained, the decay-formed crossbow can fire an arrow(s) conjured from the same element and ash particles, capable of homing in on their target if they are within the 25 meter range. Once it makes contact, the arrow will burst, leaving minor cuts in the targeted area along with minor 2nd-degree burns. Additional arrows can be formed per round following the ammo rules.
[attr="class","zavenreescroll"] Zaven watched as one, then another, then finally one last young citizen entered the Zombie Hunt game. He chuckled lightly and noticed that they were awfully close...they did not speak outwardly much but there was a peculiar item that the kid carried...a glowing lantern. Zaven was about to ask about it before Hraban appeared and sat on his shoulder, his headdress was off today, and the face of the spirit could finally be seen, but before Zaven could look at his partner, there was a simple set of questions asked by the late attendant. He was passing out snacks and honestly Zaven was intrigued so he stepped forward to partake and be friendly. ”Thank you…” Then there was a blast as one of the zombies were struck down...these golems looked quite frightening indeed and that was just another thing that Zaven could laugh about...at least there were mages out there with capable talent and looking to at least brighten people’s day instead of hurting them. He quickly ate his snack and offered some to Hraban, who flew above Zaven and pulled his hood back up...he was going to have words with that spirit later. [break][break]
”Well I guess that means that we now need to take up defensive positions, do any of you have any defensive spells or a way to funnel the gol….zombies? I could possibly take them out a lot easier that way.” Zaven of course was playing around and not taking it seriously, but he was at least putting on a show...there were 20...19 zombies after all out in the dark and out to get them and eat their brains...The thought again, nearly made Zaven laugh...he had seen the undead….he had seen many horrors and these constructs were...comical at best.

Jin Zhongli
It seemed the lantern's personality wasn't really being taken well do to Aeila's reaction to his words, so much so that she actually was able to say a complete sentence to perfection. And Jin's natural reaction was to laugh out loud at the lantern, of course he was surprised that Aeila was able to complete an entire sentence with no issues. But this wasn't the most surprising thing she had done since they met, the girl was always full of surprises somehow. "Oh ho! You got her to say a full sentence out loud, not bad!" Jin said to the lantern holding it up to his face.
"She's right you know, to much of it can be pretty bad." Jin said in a reply to Aeila's comment about having to much strength. There was allot of reasons anyone in this world would want near unlimited power. But Jin didn't want that, he wanted to be stronger and better than his current self of course. Compared to some of the most powerful mages in Clover he was just a big on the wall right now, and in order to accomplish his goals he needed to be strong and powerful. But having to much of it, lead to pretty unwanted attention. And he can't have that before his goals are realized or at least in motion. "Power is always the answer, because it is absolute. That is all."
"Ssshhh already!" Jin said but not because the golem decayed zombies that were running towards, but because of the extremely familiar mana presence that he could sense now. Jin's blue eyes had widened for a bit, when he saw an arrow made of ash and decay land right in between it's eyes. Before he could even look in his general direction, he already knew who it was. His dear brother Jiro.
This being the very first time Jin had ran into any of his siblings since he left home, quickly he calmed himself knowing this very moment was bound to happen. To be honest he was just happy it was Jiro and not his sister Varia. Jiro in particular was pretty similar to Jin himself, he is calm and somewhat carefree and for the most part he is very relaxed. Now if Jin made the wrong move or said the wrong things, his temper could show itself and that was something Jin wanted to avoid. Worst come to worst, they could end this night hurting each other. But Jin would never kill his brother, he loved him to much. "I love donut sticks." was Jin's response to his brothers question but he probably knew that. Jin had a sweet tooth, that allot of his siblings liked to use on him. And for this small moment he was truly happy to his brother again, but that couldn't last. He had to find out why, why was he here right now. The most important thing was finding out if mother had sent him.
Jin took a donut stick, and betted on them not being poisoned or laced with anything. He wouldn't put it past any of his siblings, but knowing Jiro he was going to want answers first before he did anything drastic. If it was Varia it would have been the other way around, which again Jin thanked whomever was in charge up above it wasn't her. Knowing Aeila though she probably wouldn't feel comfortable taking one at all, but maybe seeing Jin eat one she would change her mind. "Another with boundless potential. The lot of you. It is lovely." the lantern hanging from Jin's lower back said in reference to Jiro's arrival. Jin gave Jiro a quick look, not that he needed to but it basically meant Not right now, we'll talk later.
Jin turned to the Oni mask wearing fellow who took a snack as well, and noticed the Spirit bird that was on his shoulder then it flew above him. "Ooohhh a spirit! They are so rare, I have not seen many!" Jin's response to seeing the spirit, which was true he had not seen many spirits at all in any of his travels. Whomever this guy was he was on a whole other tier of power completely. So naturally he took more of the leadership role and asked the group if they had any defensive spells or a way to funnel the zombie golems. The detective suit wearing Jin held up one finger and declared "I do not!" in a proud tone for some odd reason. He reached behind his back and pulled out a dark curved blade and handed it to Aeila just so she had a means to attack without having to use her actual spells. "For you my lady!" Jin was probably also going to refrain from using his Void magic if he could at least. But for now he pulled out his other dagger that was straight and a bit longer. "I can only attack!"
