It had been four days since Vixen entered the estate. Although he'd been there he was ever reluctant to actually speak to the master of the estate. The one and only Lydia Ravencrest. A shiver went down his spine as he paced around the halls of the estate. He was absolutely and undeniably frightful. Asura his teacher had told him stories of what that woman accomplishments, and even admitted in a fight that he would lose pitifully. Vixen bite onto the tip of his thumb anxious about what might happen if he entered her study or did something that might upset her, however he also felt as though he'd have to suck up those feelings and at least admit to having stayed there for so long. It was only right to let the owner of the house know you were there after using their mines, and library. The books he found were much to useful to let sit upon those dusty shelves. Was that why he was summoned? All because the man took some books from the library.
His breathing became heavy as he paced forward. The maids gave him curious glances. The once prideful and happy-go-lucky boy whom showed them courtesy seemed like he had a wraith hanging onto his back. Most of them assumed he must have done something terrible as he paced the halls holding his note in his hand. The note merely stated that Lydia wished to speak with him. Vixen closed his eyes. What did she know? Or rather what didn't she know? The armor and clothes fit Vixen down to his very sizes, and the armor was from a story he enjoyed as a child. 'Does she know everything about me?' Vixen thought to himself. The fifty aches of estate gave him ample time to think of the mistakes he might have made. It was both a blessing as well as a curse since the man had done shameful things he didn't want many to know about.
Did she know about his unwatched fights? Or the times he stuck other nobility with a bar tab? Maybe she saw him training in the yard, or rather failing his training in the yard? In that moment Vixen froze as he remembered the punishment burn outs his master administered. "I-If it's Lydia... Her burn out might just kill me" Vixen muttered. His steps slowed more than they already were. He was basically at a snails pace as the help continued to pass.
'Maybe I'm over thinking it? Maybe she just wants a fight?' Vixen thought as the color left his face. He did in fact want a glorious fight, however the more he thought about it. If he fought Lydia right now it would be no different than a one sided beat down. There would be no glorious punches thrown, but only a bloodied mass of flesh left on the floor. Vixen glanced at the help around him. 'And she has plenty of staff to clean that mess up' Vixen thought his eyes widening as he approached the door to his fate. He stood with deep breaths escaping his throat as his hand lifted tapping on the door lightly. He'd never knocked so lightly, however the knocks were actually due to his shaking fist tapping against the door. "Ah Lydia Ravencrest? It's Vixen" Vixen managed with his breathing slowing to a normal pace praying that the owner of the estate wasn't actually there, and this had been a dream he was having.
[attr="class","florencetext"] Lydia had known Vixen had been at the estate for the past four days even without a younger Ravencrest visiting her. Well, to be fair she had known what he was up to the past five years even if he was unaware of the fact himself. It was mainly to make sure he didn't get into too much trouble. After all even if his parents "banished" him for five years he was in reality still family. With that being the case it was Lydia's job to protect the family which meant she had people keep an eye on Vixen during those five years. [break][break] She'd, of course, told them not to interfere unless his life was at risk otherwise the training would have been pointless. The pink and orange-haired mage had hoped Vixen would visit her himself but sadly it seemed that wasn't the case and she had to summon him herself. The meeting itself was set towards the evening as well she was just too busy during the earlier parts of the day with her duties as a royal knight captain as well as running Carrion. She did however have help when it came to running her province. [break][break] The head of the Ravencrest was currently sitting in her office drinking a glass of wine while waiting for the green-haired Ravencrest to show up. Part of her wondered if she should have given him directions in the note she had sent to him instead of just saying she wanted to see him. After all the staff did tell her that he was struggling to navigate the estate not that she could blame him it was massive after all. Either way, it was too late now and all she could do was hope he found his way on his own or that a staff member gave him directions. [break][break] By the time the former vice-captain had finished her first glass of wine she heard a knock on the door and knew who it was before they even spoke her name. Wasting no time Lydia would open the door coming face to face with Vixen who's height she matched. Yup that would be me. I figure you probably want to know why I asked for you. Well, it has nothing to do with you being in trouble. It's the fact I want to see how far you've grown in those five years of training. [break][break] Lydia would look over the Ravencrest noticing the bandages on his arms. So how about the two of us spar? I had hoped to fight you while you were at your peak condition but it seems your training had a different idea. Assuming Vixen agreed to the spar Lydia would then lead him to the training grounds. [break][break] She would then move a few feet away from him. So to make this somewhat fair I won't use my mana skin but you can keep yours on. With that out of the way, you can attack me whenever you are ready. Lydia herself didn't take a stance she wanted to see how fast he could strike before taking any stance.

Vixen waited not even a moment before the door opened. His eyebrows raised, however his eyes looked straight forward. He was a bit larger in height than the leader whom stood in front of him. However as he hear the tone in her voice as she spoke. He easily deduced the woman was actually going to test him. He gave a crooked smile, however more nervous than anything else. This wasn't a test nobles took at school. Nope he knew exactly the kind of spar the leader of the clan had in mind. He'd gone through this one many times with Asura. His body shivered in fear as she spoke.
"S-So like just a spar? S-Sure I'd love to" Vixen stuttered out. Previous conversations with Asura flooded through his mind, and moments of his body being battered all in the name of endurance training. 'They're the devil' Vixen thought to himself. He wasn't even sure what kind of woman Lydia was. Even his oldest memories didn't quite match her current personality, but five years was a long time.
The moment Lydia mentioned mana skin Vixen cocked his head to the side. "I'm not allowed" he said calmly. "The crazy old man said mana in spars is dangerous. Using your hands is and feet is much easier" Vixen decided to explain a bit more. Asura didn't teach Vixen magic at all. Not even a simple spell, and when asked Asura always replied "I teach the fist. You create the magic" Which Vixen hadn't done outside of his imagination Moments had passed as he finally decided. "So naturally I'll only be able to accept if you agreed to not using magic at all" Vixens eyes widened as the woman took her stand.
Every cell in his body tenses up, and his hair stood on edge. The overwhelming feeling that Lydia put off was undeniable. A primal fear began to run through Vixens veins as he began to respond. "Alright then" Vixen said sending his line of sight to Lydia's legs, and in a moment Vixen's feet sent his body into a light hop, and his right hand would slam into the floor that was beneath him. His body contorting from the move would send his right leg towards Lydia's head instead of her legs. Attempting to feint her out on the first move, however as he knew he wasn't sure if the hit would even land on a monster like her. If the hit did land he'd attempt to land on his feet and return to a standing position whilst rotating with his elbows out at range of Lydia's head again if her body were still in the same position as it was prior.
(Tl;dr: Basically Vixen accepted Lydia's match hesitantly. He'd glance at her leg trying to bait he before leaping attempting a spiraling kick. Should it land (It wont) He'd attempt to regain his balance with his side to Lydia's front and use his twisted body to send his elbow into her face as well...)
[attr="class","florencetext"] Lydia was a bit confused when Vixen said he wasn't allowed to use mana skin in spars. However, as the younger mage went on to explain more the pieces started to fall together. The former vice-captain could understand where Asura was coming from however in doing what he was taught he was making his skill with magic nonexistent. After all, sparing with magic was a great way to increase one's magical power and control over their magic. Not to mention one's mana skin let them stay in a fight longer which would lead to more improvement. [break][break] I understand where he is coming from but I don't agree with it however that's a conversation we can have later. As for your mana skin, I won't force you to use it but I highly recommend you do. It seemed there was a misunderstanding between the two Ravencrest as to what kind of spar it would be which was Lydia's fault as she didn't specify she wouldn't use her magic. [break][break] That's my bad for not stating that but yes we won't be using magic. It wouldn't exactly be fair to have your clash with my magic. It would be too one-sided as my magical power is more powerful than most other mages and at your current state you wouldn't last more than five seconds at best. The former vice-captain knew the last part was harsh but the truth was often harsh and Lydia wasn't known for sugar coating things. [break][break] She would notice the green-haired mage looking at her feet and it made sense to aim for her legs as her speed was very dangerous. However, Lydia felt that he was making it too obvious that he was planning to throw an attack at her legs. Which to her meant that her legs weren't the real target and was meant to distract her from his real target. [break][break] So when Vixen aimed the spiraling kick the female Ravencrest would sidestep the attack. She would then use her superior speed to counterattack with a kick at his left side ribs before he could get back to his feet. If the attack was to connect it would most likely send Vixen flying back a decent bit.

The movement he'd attempted worked. Well in a way it did. His body obeyed, however it wasn't long until the foot of the leaver met his rib cage. It was a feeling of immense distance between skill. Her heel pushed further and it was as if the world around him began to slow. He'd felt it before. "CRACK" the room would echo the sound as Vixen flew backwards. His body slamming into the wall behind himself. A second snapping sound came as his body met the wall. The woman had hit him hard enough to send him back, however it just showed how dangerous she really was.
"Yaknow" Vixen said with gasping breaths as his footing shifted. His hands threw themselves in a traditionally boxing stance. "This doesn't seem like a fair match up." This wasn't the first time Vixen had to say that to someone. The many times before this Asura had struck Vixen with the same ferocity. Vixen quickly caught on as his grimoire began to glow.
"I apologize for looking down on your intent" Vixen apologized as his mana skin released and covered his body. He gave a relieved sigh. It'd been a long while since the mage released any magic. It was like a ticking time bomb waiting to go off as Vixen began to close the distance once again.
"Lets go ahead and continue then" Vixen said as he moved within Three from Lydia. His eyes peeked from behind his fists as his body lounged forward. His right hand rush forward as a fist. Its aim was towards Lydia's upper rib cage, and his body seemed unnecessarily tense. That was due the fist he was throwing was a feint for a elbow to close the gap. If the Elbow would connect Vixen would attempt to love his hands around the back of Lydia's head. If he managed the two movements prior Vixen would use all the force he had left to leap from the ground sending his right knee into Lydia's face.
(Tl;Dr: Vixen finally gets his life is on the line, and used Mana skin. He currently attempted a boxers lounge. His punch is a decoy for a quick elbow and to close the gap. If his elbow connects (Ha) he'd try to lock the two in close quarters by grabbing the back of her head (Nope). If all went well he'd try to leap up sending his knee into his opponents face.)
[attr="class","florencetext"]As Vixen crashed into the wall Lydia would let out a small sigh. Not at the fact that he got hit by her kick as she honestly didn't expect him to be able to react to her speed in time. She also wasn't too worried about his body as from what she felt when the kick connected it didn't seem like she had broken any of his bones at least yet. However what she did break which caused the sigh was the wall. Hopefully, Victoria doesn't get too mad. [break][break] As the younger Ravencrest said that fight didn't seem that fair Lydia had to hold back a laugh. That's because it's not. Fights aren't always fair you aren't always going to fight someone equal to you. Sometimes they'll be stronger sometimes weaker. That's just the nature of the world we live in. Lydia was by no means expecting him to win. Her test wasn't just a test of strength it was a test of will as well. Would he give up when things started to look extremely hopeless or would get keep fighting until she knocked him out? [break][break] That was what Lydia wanted to know. As Vixen threw the punch at Lydia she prepared to block it instead of dodging it this time. She knew it could have been a faint but she couldn't ignore the attack in favor of blocking the attack that might be the real one. As that would leave her open to getting hit by the fist. Instead, she would just have to react in time if the punch was fake. Which with her speed even being slower than normal as she was holding back would be no problem. So when the punch turned into an elbow the former vice-captain would catch it she would then tighten her grip so the male Ravencrest couldn't break free. Vixen would be able to tell her physical strength had increased a little bit. [break][break] He would also be able to see a faint red aura around Lydia now. She would then start her counterattack with another kick to his legs as she let go of her grip. If the kicked landed it would knock Vixen off his feet. As he was falling to the ground Lydia would then follow up with a knee to his chest. The head of the Ravencrest family would then give the younger mage time to get back up as she didn't want to end the fight too soon.

[attr="class","haniaimage"]❝I hear a song of woe shadowing our past in sorrow.❞
[attr="class","haniascroll"]It wasn't often that Hania was within the estate at Carrion but he was still under house arrest thanks to his nanny Winter. He had pushed himself far too much of late and the elderly woman was going out of her mind with worry. The woman knew the ice mage was more than capable of dealing with most threats on his own thanks to his training, however, if he pushed too far, got injured or sick even with the aid of healing magic or medicines it took him far longer to get better. At current he wasn't allowed off the Ravencrest estate grounds but he could do light training, problem was the ice mage didn't know the meaning of 'light training' and so kept to his normal routine of being up by five in the morning washing and changing to what he trained in for that day, done laps before doing the course twice.
The first was merely to test his speed and reaction without any additional distractions, at the end he would return to the beginning and touch a rune that changed the traps and gave him the instruction of which pure aura crystals to collect and which to avoid. He still swore Victoria was trying to kill him with this but he knew it was so he could get stronger but it was a fun joke between the group. After he finished that he would look to the roster to see how many of the generals he would be sparing and which ones. It was only then he would bathe for a second time, changing into his clothing for the day and going to make his breakfast. After that, he went to his study because even the generals wouldn't allow him to do much else.
He was raised to view the four as siblings which he did so knew they cared for him, he also surmised that like him they didn't want to get onto Winter's bad side, there was just something with the 'mom' tone she used that could likely make even the wizard king stop in his tracks if he was doing something wrong. He was quite content to go through hours of reading and soon he had lost track of time other than when the normal maid came by to drop off tea and cake for him every now and then. Before long he had heard a noise and looked up from the book he was reading his teacup still gently pressed against his lips. "Is there construction going on I didn't get the note for?" he said more to himself than anyone else. Standing he took his teacup with him as he went to investigate.
He walked towards where he heard it, if it wasn't for how strong he was in his sensory he would have likely have needed to ask where the commotion was coming from. He stopped at one of the many training halls seeing the damage from outside the room "Really Lyd?" he would ask as he got to the door. His tone was stoic as normal but Lydia would be able to hear the subtle exsasperated undertones that it held due to being so use to how he was. "I thought we had this conversation of breaking the walls when I was eleven then every few months there after." he would finish, she would likely remember the conversations where he himself would go through one of the walls or he would put someone or something else through it while training. "You could have taken him to the training platform if you were going to go do this." he started once more.
His ice-blue eyes once again went to his floored cousin "I'm guessing you asked for or agreed to a hand to hand spar?" he asked taking another sip of tea. "They're likely already betting on how long you'll last before yielding." he said to Vixen, Lydia would know that he was speaking about the generals but his eyes went back to the wall "That really needs to be fixed before Victoria sees it, she'll be more than a little upset." he finished. It was true that this was the Ravencrest estate but Victoria was the head of the generals and the one who looked after the province when Lydia wasn't there. She was the one who tended to be stationed at his door while he was bedridden for whatever reason and took the safety of the estate more seriously than any other general, that wasn't to say the rest of them weren't just as bad but she was the worst.
Rank & Element: Junior ¦ Light Class & Type: Relic ¦ Accessory (bracelet) Magic Specializations: Physical Reinforcement ¦ Healing Appearance & Lore: A simple bracelet made out of reinforced glass with an opalite charm dangling from it almost like a pendulum, that gives off a dull light during the day and a bright light during the night preventing any natural shadow from forming.
There is nothing of major historical importance or deep story into where this item came from. The white-haired heir of the Ravencrest family has suffered from terrible day and night terrors since he was young and still does to this day. When asked what is wrong he brushes it off telling people not to worry it was a condition he had. He will never go into the terrible things he sees, in fact, he personally wishes he could forget he quickly realized that his perfect memory was a double edge sword and at times he truly wished he didn't have it.
His elder sister Lydia was the first to realize that it happened more when he was in an emotional state or surrounded by darkness. She also realized that he refused to sleep unless every light source he could find was active or he would sleep outside under the sun during the day, this wasn't optimal as he was to be trained to take over the family if anything were to happen to Lydia. Still, there wasn't much anyone could think to do to help him as he refused to open up but even if they could that came with a different set of hurdles they had to get over. Hania earlier in his life wouldn't take things from people due to his treatment before being adopted.
It took a while but Lydia finally found a way to help her younger brother, she had a crystal made with light inside and told him to use it when he sleeps. She said it was hers and she just wanted to see if it would help. He was reluctant but she said it only had to be a few days so he accepted. Throughout those few days, he slept somewhat peacefully so it was clear that it helped but not enough, she could only guess that the light wasn't strong enough. She realized this would be fine for a normal child afraid of the dark but it was clear to the pink-haired woman that this wasn't a normal situation.
She personally designed what she believed would help him the most, she chose the materials, their appearance even the opalite that dangles from it. As the bracelet was being made she slowly started to imbue her own element into the glass beads and the opalite as the former was created and the latter was shaped. It took close to a year to complete but Lydia seen it as something that should be done slow and steady, this was to make sure that it was done right the first time and that no matter what it would be near indestructible for whatever he may face in life.
On what is now classed as Hania's eighth birthday after a certain incident happened, she gave him a box, within it laid the bracelet. He was told to keep it with him always as she would be there to keep the darkness at bay and watching over him so he could be at peace while he rested. From that moment he has always kept it with him even if he hasn't always worn it.

Vixen's heart was racing. He'd managed to get within Lydia's zone once again, and past her optimal movement. Honestly the boy was excited as his arm curled into it's elbow form, however the inevitable had to come and turn his world entirely around. His elbow was quickly stopped by a tight grip upon his arm. Vixen knew in that moment he'd made a few crucial mistakes. Firstly accepting Lydia's spar. Secondly assuming he'd get anywhere with his moves in the first place, and finally his footing was subpar, and easily manipulatable. Boxing as it stood wasn't a sport that focused on their footwork after all.
Finally a red glow permeated from her skin as once again the goosebumps rose upon Vixen's skin. Even while using mana skin he knew that this wasn't something a normal human could handle without immense and undesired repercussions. In that moment Vixen solidified his mana skin to form an armored like veil over his whole body. He wasn't sure what the elder Ravencrest was thinking, but if it was anything like his master it was going to hurt worst than hell.
A cracking sound echoed the room announcing Hania's entrance as the mana skin on Vixen's body quickly began to crack and weaken. It was enough for Vixen to know his current strength wasn't enough. That realization came to him as the side of his head bounced against the floor of the room. It took Vixen a few moments to come to his senses. When he came to there were sudden questions he felt obligated to respond to. The first was if he accepted the spar.
Vixens tone was noticeably raspy as he replied "Although it was against my better judgement. I did accept" He admitted trying to catch his breath. It was a new feeling being dropped to the floor. By a person wielding no mana no less. It was astounding to Vixen how naturally quick the older Ravencrest was. He knew defeating her was a fools errand, however that didn't change the boys mindset one bit.
His body shook as he forced himself to his feet. 'How many times did she hit me again?' Vixen wondered to himself as Hania went on about the betting taking place. He was sure they were. Whether it was the help, family, or simple onlookers whenever a fight broke out there was always a bet to follow. "I appreciate your comment" Vixen said raising his head "But I have a bet for Lydia myself" Vixen added with a smirk. His body was already worn, however there was a way for him to win, but only if he survived it though.
"Lydia. I want you to hit me your hardest without mana" Vixen said with a soft smile crossing his arms in front of his chest. "If you knock me out it's most definitely your win. It's also your win if you send me out of the building, however" Vixen started giving a pause for the insanity of his words sink into both Lydia and the onlookers. "I'm already pretty beaten up, but if I survive and I stand up. Then it'll be considered your lose. Sound like a deal?" Vixen managed to spit out.
Vixen looked towards Lydia with a soft smile. "There's no doubt you're the winner here, but the loser has to fix the wall sound fair?" Vixen said very clearly. He didn't forget about the wall that was damaged in their spar, however he also knew this place wasn't owned by him. He didn't have the right to go around breaking things even if it wasn't his fault entirely. He chose to accept the spar, and as such he was also to blame for the damages caused. His body tensed, and his muscles flexed. He was expecting for his life to flash before his eyes. He knew poking a lion wasn't wise. All that was very clear to him, however still plastered on his face was a satisficed smile. As if everything he'd wished for was in front of him. A chance for a glorious match sometime in the future if not now
[attr="class","florencetext"] Lydia wasn't that surprised that Hania had shown up. After all, Vixen didn't slam into the wall quietly and most likely disturbed the ice mage's reading hence why he was here now. This of course also meant that Victoria had more than likely also seen the broken wall by now which was something Lydia would hear all about later. As her younger brother lectured her on the wall the former vice-captain would just shrug. It's not like I exactly meant to break the wall. As for the training platform I didn't want to knock him off it. You know better than most how painful it is to get knocked off it after all. [break][break] Lydia would allow the two younger mages to speak to each other. Vixen was lucky this was just a spar and not actual training otherwise the head of the Ravencrest wouldn't have just allowed the two of them to talk without Lydia following up with her attacks. As Hanina mention not letting Victoria see the wall the pink and orange-haired mage would let out a sigh. She's probably already seen the wall which is something I'll hear all about later. [break][break] As Vixen made his bet with Lydia it was an understatement to say it was crazy but Lydia wasn't going to deny it. Most people try to avoid getting hit by my maximum physical power but if that's what you want then I'll accept the bet. Just give me a second. The green-haired mage was most likely unaware of the fact Lydia didn't accept bets she couldn't win. After all, she wasn't one to leave things to chance something Hania learned very well the last time the two made a bet. [break][break] The former vice-captain would then close her eyes as she was focusing on entering a state that far surpassed what a mortal should have been able to do physically. It was something she had only eased into Lydia had never entered the state fully right away but she knew it was possible. So she would focus on increasing her heart rate making her blood jump through her body faster as she entered the state that unlocked one hundred percent of her physical strength. [break][break] It would be clear to the others that she had done so as her skin would turn red from all the extra blood flowing through her body at the moment. As well as the fact all the veins on her body were now visible as they were pushed to the limit pumping blood throughout her whole body. Lydia would then open her eyes and look straight at Vixen. I hope you're ready. Also, don't cry about how much it hurts when you wake up. [break][break] The former vice-captain would then waste time closing the gap between the two of them before punching him directly in the chest with a blow that would shatter not only his ribs but his chest cavity as well if it hit. [break][break] The force would have also sent him fully through the wall assuming the attack hit. However, Lydia would use her speed to keep up with the speed he was sent flying at catching his body to avoid breaking any more of the wall as well as his body. She would then set down Vixen on the ground and would start healing any wounds that would have killed him but nothing more.

[attr="class","haniaimage"]❝I hear a song of woe shadowing our past in sorrow.❞
[attr="class","haniascroll"]Hania looked to his cousin and found himself wondering what the hell was going through his head, it wasn't exactly like Lydia wasn't well known throughout the four kingdoms and beyond. "I'm unsure if you are brave or just plain stupid but I am leaning more to the latter." he said simply before taking another sip of his tea. The main reason for this was the fact the other said he had agreed against his better judgement, even he rarely asked to spar with Lydia because even though she did pull her punches still, it was never to the extent it once had been when he grew up. Then again the training that he had been put through since he was eight years old was still more intense than most nobles but then this was a militaristic family who put themselves and even their loved ones second to the needs of the kingdom so it was understandable.
"In case you didn't do your homework before accepting this one-sided spar, Lydia is a Light and Beast Aura user meaning she is naturally faster and stronger than most of the population." he said as he heard him challenging his elder sister to hit him as hard as she could. "Don't destroy the wall will you." he said with a calm tone although Lydia would sense the frustrated undertone that he had used, he honestly wondered where the intelligence of his relatives had gone because this one seemed as intelligent as most of the current Vermillion progeny. "As for how many times she hit you would you like from what I heard or saw?" he would ask his tone unchanging, it was a legitimate question as he hadn't been there the entire time but had heard a few from his library.
"Lyd, I think this place needs to be reinforced again and likely adding some soundproofing so I don't get disturbed in the library. I would soundproof my library and study like my room is but that would be months worth of work just to remove the scrolls even before getting to the books from them. This would be easier." he said knowing she knew just how much of a labyrinth his personal areas were. His eyes went back to Vixen "Oh, they're not betting on who's going to win, they're betting on how long you'll last." he corrected the other. "Likely Ferdinand is going to win it, he's usually right on the money with this sort of thing." he said more to Lydia than Vixen, being a healer it was like he was almost attuned to when he would be needed. "Talk about that, I still have to honour that spar I promised Noire" he said thoughtfully.
It was then he went back to the bet that he had heard previously "I hope you are good at mending because Victoria is an unforgiving taskmaster when she wants to be" he warned, he had never bet on mending a wall he had broken or gone through but his training often did get harder when she believed he was slacking. It's where the joke that he believed she was trying to kill him first came from, he understood as he grew it was because she didn't want Lydia to worry about him when he was away from home especially with the weaknesses he had but in the beginning, he honestly did believe she hated him as much as his adoptive father did. It wasn't until he finally asked what her issue was with him that she told him and the pieces started to fit into place.
"You aren't going to be standing Vixen, Lydia can one punch most people" he said taking another sip of his tea as he chuckled at his sister's words "I know, I know it just kind of happens when you spar with people." he gently poked playfully, this was all done in his undertone. As Vixen had never met Hania before that day it would be unlikely he would have been able to have picked up the subtle tones. "I do, I also got back up afterwards and went several more rounds getting knocked out of it each time." He was pushed to his limits when he trained with the generals, his sister and Alyssa and even when he hit his limit he was pushed a bit more. It wasn't because they were being cruel towards him but because they knew an enemy wouldn't let up and in those times you needed to pull a bit more even when you believed you had nothing left to give.
"How long do you think the lecture will be this time?" he enquired knowing the last time he didn't see his elder sister for several hours. "Just a side note Vixen, Lydia doesn't make bets she can't win... I found that out the hard way and now I am drooled over by countless women and strangely men." Given his appearance being more feathered if you could mistake the ice mage for a woman easily, it was one of the reasons he intended to push Taiyo down a set of icy steps during the yule season. Hania just stepped a few paces to the right so he wouldn't have to deal with the excess force, he'd rather not have the teacup he was holding break while he was still enjoying the contents.
He also didn't want to deal with flying debris as he was more than a little bit of a clean freak, he absolutely hated to look untidy. It irritated him to no end as Lydia would be able to attest to. From what he had seen there was no way that the hit wasn't going to make contact and knew that when it did Vixen was going through the wall meaning that a minor lecture from Victoria was going to take up most of the night. He was just glad he wasn't going to have to be there as he had nothing to do with what was just about to happen. "So how long do you think that lecture is going to be now?" he'd ask again watching as Lydia kindly retrieved their cousin and put him onto the floor and started to give him minor aid. "He's a few bats short of a bell free isn't he" he commented to Lydia "Got to give it to him though he done what very few have ever done and that's asked for your worst... still think he's an idiot for doing it though." he commented moving to sit down out of the way.

There were a few moments before Lydia chose her answer. In the silence of the decision Hania spoke up clearly, and rather rudely. Vixen shrugged off the comment, after all he had heard it all before. "My master said it's important to be a little bit of both" He replied to Hania quickly. Being as it was he didn't remember Hania's name. All he knew was he didn't feel a threatening aura nor a bloodlust coming from the pale haired man. At least he couldn't feel it as Lydia began to speak along with Hania. The pale haired man spoke once more and Vixen raised a brow. "No matter the magic she uses. I never expected to fight on an even stage with a woman whose legacy was spread throughout Carrion and Clover. The point of the spar was to see the peak of the mountain I've decided to climb" Vixen spoke in a casual tone. A smile faintly scarring his lips as he noticed Lydia answer. His hair stood on edge as she spoke about needing a moment. It was completely fair that she'd need some time. As it stood Vixen wasn't sure if Lydia ever had to go all out any more, but one thing was for certain. The entire time they were sparring the older Raven was holding back.
Around this time Hania spoke about how many times he was hit. Vixen's eyes widened as he looked towards her. "D-Did you read my mind?" Vixen questioned before realizing his mistake. His eyes turned towards Lydia who was now beginning to swell with mana, however her skin had yet to redden as Hania went on.
Vixen whom wasn't too keen on speaking while in the middle of the spar at least had to answer. "I apologize, however when people are sparring it's disrespectful not to pay attention to your opponent. It's a sign of looking down on your opponent. I'll be unable to speak to you further, and if what you're saying is true it might be a month before my lungs recover enough to speak at all" Vixen stated simply. In truth he knew what he set himself up for. The strikes before Lydia was holding back entirely. In those moments Lydia wasn't trying to win as much as teach Vixen the gap between their mana. This was more of a lesson than a spar, and that notion of thought saddened Vixen. He was much weaker, and he very well understood that. He only accepted this spar to see where his bottleneck was, and he was simply stuck at the physical bottleneck.
He trained fighting styles nearly day and night, and because of that he did the bare minimum amount of physical training, and Lydia whom had honed her muscles beyond that of most human beings was the perfect example of what he could become if he pushed himself past the limits of his mind.
It was finally time. As Vixen looked before him Lydia took her first step. Her skin turned crimson, and her eyes shown with a emotionless and unbothered look. There wasn't any turning back now. He'd pushed his own cousin into a bet he knew he was bound to lose. The thoughts past as Lydia got closer.
Vixen's hairs still stood above the goosebumps that developed. They say your life flashes before your eyes before you die, however for Vixen time seemed to slow. Lydia had gotten into his strike zone, however mana pressed his body down as Lydia's hand curled into a fist. The world slowed further as the fist came closer and closer. Vixen could have sworn the fist cut the very air it soared through as it made its way into his ribs. There were several cracks sounding through the hall as his body began to falter and cease moving. Flying backwards towards the wall his eyes began to close. 'So that was it huh? That's the mountain' Vixen thought to himself before his body smashed through the wall behind himself. The stone provided no cushion as another crack was heard. Luckily his spine hadn't suffered, but his left shoulder was utterly broken from the impact as his eyes finally fell shut.
'It hurts' Vixen thought as the shock crippled his body. His brain suffering through immense pain had finally begun to shut down. His senses faded as a feeling of relief overcame his body. He'd found a glorious defeat. He was absolutely sure that he'd do this same thing over, and over again. After all the Ravencrest was only trying to land a single strike not win the duel. As he felt complete peace he allowed himself to pass out as Lydia brought his body into her arms and began to heal his severely broken Ribs. Luckily for him the cleanly shattered ribs hadn't stabbed into his organs, otherwise a squad of healers would be needed, and Lydia would be at risk of explaining the death of Vixen to his parents, and the paperwork that might follow.
(OOC: I'm not sure how to continue the post further. I'll continue next round if/when the healing is complete)
[attr="class","florencetext"] The former vice-captain would listen as Hania and Vixen continued their conversation. She of course was used to hearing talking during spars as her six senses were far above that of a normal human. That being said it wasn't normally Hania doing the talking as it wasn't exactly a secret he didn't like talking with many people. As the white-haired mage brought up the topic of making changes to the training room Lydia would let out a sigh. [break][break] Yeah, I know. So talk with Victoria about it later. Also, I'd be careful talking about that right now. If Noire hears that she'll ask for it right now. Once Lydia finished entering her peak physical state the fight was over before one could even blink. Sadly the wall didn't survive the fight which was more of a problem for Lydia than anyone else in the room. [break][break] As Lydia was healing the green-haired Ravencrest she would look over at the wall for a moment before answering the questions Hania had asked her. Well before I completely broke the wall it most likely would have only been an hour or two. Now it's going to be the rest of the night. Lydia would take a moment to think about how best to respond to Hania's question. [break][break] Yes and no. I agree it's a dumb idea to ask to get hit full force with my full strength. However, he was raised a little differently than the rest of us. Don't get me wrong his training didn't start as soon as yours or mine did and it wasn't as intense. However, it still started from a young age and was focused on close combat and the love of fighting. So if I had to guess he was taught to push himself to the limit no matter who he's fighting which can be a good thing and a bad thing. It might take a while but he should be able to learn that fighting is more than just attacking and defending. [break][break] After the head of the Ravencrest finished speaking her healing of Vixen would also finish. Lydia would then set him back on the ground before pulling out a cigarette and lighting it. He should be waking up soon.

Vixen's eye lids began to clench as his breathing got a bit more raspy. Before long the lime soda haired boy let his eyes split wide open as his right hand clenched the spot of his chest that Lydia had punched with ridiculous force. 'I didn't die' Vixen thought to himself. His body still lying flat on the floor, although he figured as much was going to happen. It was a few moments before the boy actually spoke. A combination of pain mixed with defeat "Ouch guess I'm building a wall" Vixen complained from the floor. By all means he wanted to cry out in pain, and nothing would have made him feel better, however Lydia began the bet telling him not to complain. At the very least he knew he wasn't going to die, but his eyes began to roll to the back of his head from the pain.
"I think my ribs are broken" Vixen managed to spit out as his other hand lightly gripped his chest. "Nope definitely still broken" Vixen admitted with a light cough. Talking seemed to be the easiest way to forget the pain, however he wasn't exactly prepared for a long drawn out conversation anymore. His body curled up like he was doing a sit up as he began to stand. His posture was rather slouched as he nursed his aching ribs.
"I'll go ahead and take my leave" Vixen said with a look towards the wall. "I'll get to the wall tomorrow maybe the day after, but I'll have it done" Vixen said as a parting line walking around and being escorted towards his room all the while asking the help to start delivering the materials to the wall so he could fix it sooner rather than later, although his current state wasn't perfect.

[attr="class","haniaimage"]❝I hear a song of woe shadowing our past in sorrow.❞
[attr="class","haniascroll"]The white-haired male looked to his sister for a moment, he knew just how frustrating that would be to have one of the training rooms out of commission for any length of time but it was easier than having his bedroom, study and library refurbished for the umpteenth time. He honestly disliked anyone in his personal spaces and was super rigid about things within them more so if things had to leave them for any amount of time as many of the books and scrolls he owned were irreplaceable for one reason or another. "We both know she wouldn't accept it right now even if I was to offer it." he said in his normal stoic tone, Lydia would be able to hear just how fatigued he was due to still recovering from the attack of their father and the training of his dive with Asmostia.
He knew as much as the steel mage would want to have her spar with him she wouldn't do it until he was at full health so the fight would be on equal footing, either that or she was concerned about what Winter would do to her if she found out about it happening. Either way, the pair knew that his training was more or less put on hold for the moment other than his usual morning routine because he refused to deviate from it. "Well, enjoy that lecture." he said simply. There was a reason Victoria had been chosen as the lead general and Lydia's second in command even in regards to Carrion. Many would have believed that he would have been the next in line for that, but, where he may have been suited to it in some ways he still hadn't earned the recognition to do such a thing.
Hania raised an eyebrow before looking at his unconscious cousin "I see." he sighed and shook his head a little "A wise person chooses their battles and fights wisely, they shouldn't poke known dangerous things or they could end up quite dead." he said looking up to Lydia "He's lucky he's still breathing given you hit like a runaway horse with the backing of a dragon." he said knowing just how hard she hit given their training sessions. "I hope he learns quickly or he's going to be quickly dead given some of the threats we face as a family." he said thoughtfully, it was true that were many of the family served as magic knights there were some that served in the church and others that were civilians but it didn't matter the walk of life being part of one of the most powerful families in Clover and having your main estate on Spades doorstep painted so many targets on you you needed adapt and quickly.
"That's a relief, he'd make a terrible rug." he said looking down at his cousin sensing movement "Well, what your building will depend on Victoria also, word to the wise Lydia never takes on a bet she doesn't believe she can win." the white-haired youth had found that one out the hard way and now was on the road to becoming a well-known model due to a lost bet with his sister. "I would think that broken ribs are nothing new to a brawler like yourself, they will mend in time but do you have the fortitude to get up and continue while you are injured in such a way?" he asked more out of curiosity than anything else he knew Lydia was taught to continue fighting through every injury regardless until a task was done and he had been trained the same way.
Rest and recovery could be done after a threat was gone or you were dead whichever came first. He knew the chances are the quicker the wall was mended the quicker he would be healed but it wasn't his bet so he had no idea how Lydia was going to do it. "If you require aid in fixing that wall Vixen I'm willing to help, Victoria is quite the perfectionist on this kind of thing." he would call after his cousin, he in honesty didn't want to be doing masonry but at this point, he was willing to do so he'd be allowed out of his protective bubble for a short time without anyone getting upset at him. He was quite sure Winter would still be annoyed but at least he wouldn't be trying to leave the estate like he had the last two times he had felt like this so that was an improvement at least.
