In this world, Magic is Everything. All people, all races, are granted with the power to perform mystical and magical feats via grimories, mystical tomes granted to each and every child on their 15th birthday. Those blessed by the mana can have their names written down in legend.

As the winter approaches the locals are coming together to gather spare food, clothes, and blankets for the less forturnate of the town. The only issue is that they are requesting people to help with delivering the items to the various citizens around the city.

Aya had found herself traveling all throughout the clover kingdom this season and now she had found herself in Nairn, one might ask why she found herself in a place where the Azure Deer squad was located, but the truth was she had gotten lost on her way back from one of the other cities, and as Nairn was in the central area of the clover kingdom this was in fact the best place to set one's route from. Now that she had better acclimated herself to other areas of the clover kingdom in terms of direction outside of the Forsaken Region she felt that it was her duty now to simply get home. Not to mention the voices screaming inside her head telling her that this place was one they favored. Aya perhaps thought it was due to a large number of churches that stretched wide and far.
Being someone who was largely religious herself, Aya found both a feeling of peace and worry when it came to the church, she kept her hood up and all covered but her mouth and eyes, but still she couldn't help wanting and yearning to go into the church, to kneel down and ask for some form of help and forgiveness, yet she ultimately decided not too as she knew that instead of such forgiveness or aid, she'd only receive prejudice in return. She didn't want to die yet again, and as such she figured the best way to go was to leave the town as soon as possible, however, as she walked and made a small pit stop at an inn for a bite to eat she came upon a mission board that spoke of helping gathering food, clothes and blankets for the less fortunate, the job simply stated that one had to do deliveries and as such Aya figured this was a job for her. It would offer a quick buck and a simple way to learn the city more, and if she was to get stopped she could simply flash the mission posting and approval in order to get away from authorities with little suspicion or hold up. She figured this would ensure some form of safe passage and cover for the city, which was something that until this mission she lacked.
As such Aya made her way to the sign-up location as designated on the mission flyer, and when she made it there she signed up under a false name, grabbed some clothes, and it was time to get to work. Aya was thankful for this time of year, with the snow, and cold no one would be asking why she had her hood on the way she did, and with her smile height, and stature one would just assume that she was a young girl helping out the city, and that was just the way she liked it. Incognito without truly hiding and being paid while moving from one destination to the next. "Today will be a good day." Aya mused in joy as the voices seemed to calm themselves if only for a short while.

After the events of ruining the food drive, Isabeau felt that she had to do something to absolve her of the nasty feeling that seemed to cling to her and she had quickly left town, moving to Nairn to throw some heat off herself. While she always made sure to look out for herself, sometimes at the expense of others, she always made sure that at least other children wouldn't needlessly suffer due to her choices. The food drive ended up proving to be a moral grey area for her as while some were directly affected because of her, it was an easy and simple fix in her opinion. The stuck-up noble wouldn't simply leave those families to suffer as it would reflect badly on him. "Besides, the town is already thought to be cursed so it's not as if no one wasn't expecting something to go wrong. If he didn't want something like that to happen then he should have employed better security to ensure that it didn't." she muttered to herself in an attempt to justify things.
It was as she was walking that she spotted a flyer up on one of the walls of a nearby building. Walking up to it, she saw that it was an advertisement for helping with delivering supplies to needy families around the city. "Maybe this is a sign..." she thought before shaking her head. She didn't subscribe to that crap that the church put out there of god and beings of a higher power. She was in control of her own destiny and would forge her own path forward. Still, though, this was a good opportunity to at least offset some of her bad karma by doing a good deed, something that she had wished that others had done for her growing up. Checking the location written on the poster, Isabeau began to make her way through, bringing her cloak closer to her body in order to keep whatever warmth that she could to herself as she walked through the snow-covered streets.
After getting some directions from the locals, Isabeau arrived outside of the local church noting the dozen or so people darting back and forth inside. They were currently fixing all the items into small boxes and thankfully had rented out some brooms for their volunteers to take in order to make their deliveries. Isabeau was relieved at that as she hadn't been looking for having to trek through the snow for the next couple of hours to do this. Walking forward to the sign-up name, she signed up, deciding to give a false name before getting her assignment. Turning around, she noted a familiar flash of pink hair in the crowd and followed behind it noting that it was in fact the same girl that she had worked with just the other day for the crime bosses. "It truly is a small world." she thought before walking up behind the girl and tapping her on the shoulder. "Imagine my surprise at seeing you here."
With the food, drive having been destroyed and a yul tree alongside some Magic Knights, Aya found herself now looking for a job that was much less risky in terms of the task at hand. She didn't want to put too much spotlight on her, in fact, she had worked hard to put very little on her at all, but doing jobs for those in the business of dealing with rogues was always risky and word got around, and though it could be good, it could put limitations on ones access to the clover kingdom as a whole, once one got a certain amount of a bad reputation or rather a "good" one in the rogue community they started to make a name for themselves and in doing so it became much more limiting than one would think.
Although having such a name could open up multiple opportunities for those in Aya's position who simply didn't feel strong enough yet, it could be detrimental to growth she wanted to rack up as much money as she could, while she could and how she could throughout the kingdom before ultimately being suppressed and with only a few options. That meant keeping a low profile and thankfully because of her cloak she was able to do that. As she trotted through the snowmaking her way toward the church Aya made sure to keep her hood down low, only letting strands of her long pink hair shine through, her eyes and mouth per usual.
On the way into town she had found a notice board, someone was asking for help and even better they were paying for it. Thankfully this work was for the common person, not for rogues, and though she didn't care about the people she chose to ultimately help by undertaking this task she at the very least knew she'd be getting paid for it. She wore a smile on her face, and as she slowly inched her way forward toward the crowd of people at the church, moving ever closer to the boxes filled with rations, food, and blankets, as well as a bit of coin for payment for delivery, Aya felt a tap upon her shoulder, she turned only to see it was Isabeau, the blue hatted girl seemed to have either been following her or had a similar idea of leaving their last location post-haste to avoid any lingering trouble or repercussions. "Hello, there. Fancy seeing you again," Aya mused as her everpresent smile hung upon her face. "I take it you're also here to help out the needy. Well, let's get to work, shall we?" Aya stated keeping the conversation free of any information that would put them in any danger or throw suspicion on them, as far as anyone around them knew they were old acquaintances or friends.
"Well, would you like to run these routes with me?" Aya asked as she turned her attention back to the church, making sure to check and adjust her cloak once more before taking the box and coin handed to her. Regardless of whether Isabeau would work alongside her again or not, Aya made her way through town, utilizing her fast pace to do so. Though she came across many sick and Ill she cared not to heal them in order not to bring attention to herself but denying so many sick people help when they could've used it seemed to turn her magic inward against her, it screamed in her mind and it took everything in her not to scream aloud, as such she finished up the job as fast as she could. "I think I'll be heading to the outskirts of the kingdom if you'd like to join me," Aya stated, as she looked at the young girl, before making her way to the Forsaken Region with her new coin. She had enough of a headache for one day and she didn't need these bums adding on to it.

"Yes, I figured that I could do with a bit of spare change for the holiday season. Also, doesn't hurt that one should be giving back at this time of year either and I felt that I should be doing my part after all" she stated, keeping her true thoughts to herself. "That last mission left a bit of a foul taste in my mouth so I decided that I might as well try to tip the scales of karma back into my favor with a selfless act." Isabeau hated having to do anything that put children at risk or harmed them and that last mission had been something that she had only accepted out of relentlessness and the fact that she needed the money. If it hadn't been for that, she would have never had done so since she knew the struggles that came with growing up poor and with very little to one's name. Growing up in an orphanage; even if she only stayed there for as little a time as she could before running away, had taught her a lot in life and about how much others had but were unwilling to give to others or even just what they were willing to give, simply just to look good.
She walked up the church steps alongside the other girl and accepted to box that she was given as well as the map that showcased their route before they headed off. Aya seemed to move at a face pace, most likely wanting to simply get this done so that she could move on to the next job. Isabeau didn't really know much about her and what she did nor did she currently care to find out all that much either. The jellyfish-themed girl had other things that she needed to concern herself with and goals that she planned to accomplish with the next year and that required her to gather as many funds as she could while also rising in strength. She planned to eventually work under one of the rogue groups that were scattered throughout the clover kingdom. She would just have to do some research and find one that fits best for her and wouldn't leave her trapped with no way of getting out once it was time for her to move on to the next stage of her life.
"Here you are sir. And a happy Yule to you as well." Isabeau stated as she handed over the box of items to a middle-aged man. She could see the rest of his family off to the side giving her looks of gratitude that was making her somewhat uncomfortable. She remembered being in their position before when she had elected to live on the streets rather than the orphanage and had taken to stealing to make ends meet. She had learned early on that she couldn't expect to rely on the charity of others in order to be taken care of and that she would need to be proactive if she wanted to. While she was sure that this family wasn't living in alleyways, it was still clear that they weren't the most well off but she did wonder offhand what they did during non-Yule times. It wasn't as if the nobles would be giving them any sort of money or gifts outside of this one time a year. "It would be stupid of them to remain completely reliant on someone else to help them out. Most people are selfish. Hell, the only reason that the nobles even do this type of event is that it reflects well on them by the rest of the population."[/i] she thought, mentally shaking her head before moving on.
As she moved around the city delivering the food, clothing, and blankets, Isabeau made a mental note of the city around her as well as the various alleyways that one could use. If she ever ended up coming back to this city for anything, she wanted to be sure that she had properly mapped it out in case she needed to make a quick escape or hide out from anyone. She noted that Aya was acting a bit different from how they had been in their previous mission but elected not to bring it up as it was none of her business nor did she know the other girl enough to pry into her life like that. As they finished up, she was invited to head to the outskirts of the kingdom and after mulling things over for a bit she decided that she might as well since she didn't really have much else going on right now.
