Whenever there are handouts, there are always those looking to abuse the situation. During one of the churches funded gatherings out in the forsaken region, people that can only be described as rogues have decided to crash the event and take the clothing, food and water that was meant for the poor for themselves. As this is an affront to the church itself, it falls upon you to take care of these people, and make them rethink making any moves against it in the future.

As the strength of the Deacon would grow, the responsibilities that the Spring Bishop would stack upon him would grow as well. This had become quite evident in the fact that Prisha Santa Maria had begun to offload several missions for the Deacon specifically. With that being the case, it came as no surprise to Thaddeus when another sealed letter had been given to him from the Priest of Nairn. Immediately, the Spring Deacon would begin to pop open the wax seal on the letter and would read over its contents. From what he had been reading, it would seem as though he was going to be heading out to Hage, a quaint little town on the outskirts of the Forsaken Region. Apparently he was going to need to head on out to this town and recover several goods that had been stolen by bandits... Clothing, food, and water that was supposed to be given to the poor of Hage. The fact that there had been rogues out there that were willing to perform such a heinous act had highly irritated Thaddeus and led to the Spring Deacon hoping to pay these rogues back tenfold. The Church had been allowing for him to make an example out of the rogues for this particular mission and as such, he was going to take full opportunity here.
Truthfully, Thaddeus could have easily rushed to Hage and hoped to take care of things himself, with the assistance of his golems, but he had thought better of this much. Rather than take any unnecessary risks against the rogues, Thaddeus had chosen to reach out to a couple of people in hopes of them coming out and assisting him. He hadn't wished to bother his cousins, Lustian and Dante, given that they were likely quite busy with their work as Magic Knights. That being the case, he had figured that it would be for the best to invite not only his cousin, Klara, but another lesser magic knight, Eliza. Albeit, Eliza hadn't been a bad magic knight. It was simply that she had seemed to have more time than his cousins that had belonged to the same squad, the Golden Dawn. Unfortunately, it would seem that Eliza wasn't going to be able to make it out to help in this matter. Would the youngest Wilhelm, Klara, opt to come out and assist though? Only time would tell. Regardless, a letter would be mailed out to her in hopes of her arrival within Hage.
--------------------
Several days would pass by as Thaddeus would make his way out towards Hage via his broom of flying. Whenever he had felt as though he would need to rest for a bit, the Spring Deacon would stop and camp out for the night, but eventually he would arrive within the quaint little town. He had asked for Klara to meet him just outside of the Church of Hage and was probably going to have to wait for a bit of time. Figuring that his cousin may be a little late, despite the fact that it was entirely possible that she had gotten there even earlier than Thaddeus himself, the Spring Deacon had begun to question the Deacons and Priests on the events that had previously occurred. From what he had gathered, there was supposedly five of these roguish individuals in total. The members of the Church hadn't been sure of how these rogues had fought, given that they hadn't opted to fight against them in the past, but knowing their numbers was more than helpful.
All in all, with the assistance of the members of the Church of Hage, a plan of sorts would come together to draw out the rogues once more. They were to announce that another of their donation events were to be held within the next few days. They would go on to announce where the goods would be located prior to the actual donation event and would hope that the rogues would come in that time to steal the goods. If they had indeed arrived, the plan was to have Thaddeus and his cousin follow after them so as to find their hideout. From there they would be able to handle everything on their own, securing the goods from the Rogues and making an example of them without killing them. The only real question for the night would be whether or not the youngest Wilhelm would actually come.

Blood is thicker than water, or so people say. The girl had experience things that would make one question such ideas, but because of that she has also experience things that made her want to believe in the line. When it came to helping the family, she was never reluctant. Every situation gave her a chance to show off how she was not weak, how she was an asset. For the sake of prove them wrong, the girl not refuse her cousin's request.
He was not a member of the Magic Knights. He was not any more connected to them then her. Actually one could argue she was more closely related to them due to her goal to become one. He was, however, a powerful person. At least in her eyes, his golems were large, intimating, and fun to ride. For sake of being able to assert herself in such an environment. It was the ultimate form recognition. When people fear the small girl among the horde of golems and the arm of the church, it was the dream.
So now the girl was in Hage outside the church wearing a black cloak with her hood up and a white short sleeve shirt and a skirt with black spats. She even had golden sandals. She wanted to resemble a nun without actually impersonating one. She did not really like the outfit so this way way better. Thaddeus was there first, but that was expected. It was his assignment. "Cousin. Thank you for inviting on your assignments. Working with you has been very fun. Thank Gnome that we have the opportunity to bring hope to the people." She giggled with a mischievous grin. She was definitely being playful and not hiding a bit of it. Still there was a lot of truth behind her act. In fact, most of it was how she actually felt.
Unfortunately this was not going to be a front up brawl. The church laid out a trap and wanted her and Thaddeus to follow them and then beat them up. It was a bit silly but it was not her assignment. That did not mean she would not complain. She sighed, " I wish we could just go fight them. They don't seem all that though from what I heard. I mean, they steal from such weak people. I wonder if they will be even a tiny bit of a challenge?" Sitting against a wall in the hiding spot, she started blowing a strand to pass time while they waited for the rouges to act.

Although the Spring Deacon had been quite content to see his cousin having finally arrived, he couldn't help but wonder why she had chosen this particular outfit. Part of him had felt as though she had been mocking the church in her own little way but that surely couldn't have been it, right? No, of course not. She just had a unique way of going about things. Not that it had mattered all that much to him in the end. She was a young girl and could dress however she had wanted, as long as it wasn't in a derogatory way to the Church. Only in that instance would he really ever have any choice words for his dearest cousin.
"Honestly, it's no big deal Klara. I just figured that you would like to get in some extra training before the Magic Knight exams. That and I trust you when it comes to these kinds of things. Even if you do tend to be highly reckless in regards to rushing ahead, I know that you can hold your own in a fight. That is what truly matters. Might as well give you some real combat experience while we are at it, right?"
While he and the Church had come together to create a plan earlier on, the Spring Deacon just had to hope that things would come together in the way that they were intended to. They were going to need to ensure that they followed after the bandits quietly enough for them not to grow too suspicious when the times comes to it. "So I am assuming that you read over everything in the letter, right? It isn't going to be as simple as just going out and fighting them. We need them to lead us to their hideout so that we can bring back the goods that they have stolen. For that, I suggest that we use our brooms of flying." Thaddeus would than proceed to reach back and lightly grab a hold of the handle of the broomstick that had been stashed over his shoulder.
"Once we manage to trace them back to their hideout, we can fight all you want. Just be sure not to kill anyone or to damage any of the goods. If we are lucky, the goods will still be in their crates for the most part. Once we defeat the bandits and collect the goods, we can head on back here to Hage and wrap things up. Of course we will need to bind the bandits in the back so that they can't escape. No point in allowing such miscreants to run off and cause more problems in the future."
After the Wilhelm pair would wrap up their conversation, Thaddeus would lead Klara to the "storehouse" that the church was going to be using for this little escapade of his, so that they could work on getting prepared for the events to come. "It would be best if we managed to get comfortable within the brush located beside the back door or something of those likes. You can choose where it is that we lay low for the time being, if you would like. Heck, we could even stash ourselves atop of the building itself if you would like. Just know that from this point foreword, we are going to have to keep an eye out for these rogues. An official stakeout. I hope that you are prepared."

Klara grinned at the deacon's words. He thought it was no big deal but to her, it was very reassuring and confidence boosting. To be wanted, to be seen as useful, and to be cared about, its things like that that kept her from seeing the world as the dark place her mother made it. However, those obviously false comments could be left out of an almost perfect reflection of her. "Reckless, no. I just... have some things I need to improve on. That's it." She stuck out her tongue at the man be giggling. Ever since she met him in that dark place, she has been changing her opinion of him slowly. He talked and acted like he was weak but in truth, he was strong. His abilities were strong and they gave her something to look forward to seeing.
When it came to the whole plan thing. The flinched and quickly turned around. "Pshhh but yeah, of course I read it all. Who wouldn't read important instructions like that. Only a clueless person. But still, would it not be faster to just capture one and make them talk? I hear about the Magic Knights integrating people all the time. I'm sure someone would talk if they had your golems behind them. I mean I wouldn't but still." She kept fiddling with her hair, while fighting the boredom of waiting for the action to happen. "Fine~ I won't ask anymore. Your much better with plans than me anyway." The girl just giggled when the man reminded her not to do things like kill people. Its funny to think that was something she had to be told. Like she never killed anyone in her life. She was not a cruel person. She was just merciless and believed in being strong. Weak people should not step in front of her and be the problem. That was how one got beat down. Taken prisoners however, was something she loved to do. It gave validation to her claims of greatness. She never lie about things like that but she did feel like proof just made the stories even better.
When it came to picking an area, the girl was just bewildered. Like, she was never one for hiding and stuff. She was more of the, point first and directly challenge type of person. However, an idea did hit her. "Oh oh. I remember reading this book about how this pirate hid inside of a barrel in order to get away as a stowaway. Why don't we just hide inside of the goods. Then the weak chumps will just bring us to their hideout and we will be right in the middle of it all surrounded. It sounded so fun. Imma do that. hehehe!" If her Cousin did not stop her she would jump into a crate of clothing and bury herself.
If that was not allowed, she would would pout breaking her smile for a brief moment before returning and pointing to a wall where she could just sit behind some boxes. No matter which plan was done. Eventually, the rouges would appear and start causing havoc for the church staff members which were managing the supplies and running the donations in order to make the trap seem real. It was a duo, a man and a woman who wore bandanas and utilized iron magic. The woman shot blades a of metal out at the open to make the staff retreat and the man covered his body in metal to make himself stronger. Together they were able to secure all the donation supplies and started to head off to their base.

Although he honestly wasn't quite sure whether or not to trust this plan that Klara had read about in a book once upon a time, he was trying to place a bit more faith in her. After all, she was agreeing not to just recklessly charge after the rogues and to play along with the things that the Spring Deacon had been requesting. "I... suppose that we can go ahead and give it a try. Or at least you can. I have all of the faith in you so you feel free to rest inside of that box for a bit. Once you hear me my shouting, I'm sure that you'll know that it's time to fight." Thaddeus would than watch at his younger cousin would stow herself away within a crate of clothing. He was going to need to ensure that no matter what crates that rogues had chosen to dig around in, that they wouldn't discover her right off the bat. Either way, once she was stowed away within the crate, Thaddeus would place the lid of the crate back on it before utilizing his broom of flying to take off into the air and would begin to wait upon the roof of the storehouse.
After a bit of time had come to pass, the rogues had decided to fall into this little trap that was set up by the church. They had rushed on into the town and attempted to intimidate many others by firing away at them and wreaking havoc upon its denizens. While there had been a pair of them that had been causing these problems, it was only the woman that Thaddeus had chosen to look out for. She had begun to fire upon the staff but thankfully hadn't managed to hit them head on. It was likely that she was just trying to scare them away as her partner in crime had begun to pick up the crates and start to carry them off. Seeing such a horrible thing happen to his fellow church members had made Thaddeus wish to bag these rogues here and now... but he had to stick to the plan. Even if he had wanted to assist those that were down below, he would need to make contact with the ground before he could do as much. It was... a conflicting situation to be in.
Eventually the would go on to head off back towards their base. This was going to be the most key time of this little plan of theirs so he couldn't mess things up by flying into a rage and trying to get back at the rogues. For now he would just have to remain quiet and follow after them from above... and follow after them he would. Ensuring that he wouldn't lose sight of the Rogues, Thaddeus would hop back onto his broom of flying and would then proceed to take off into the air so that he was nigh out of sight. From there he would follow the damnable rogues until they had made it back to their base, which would seem to be a small cave hidden away within the forest surrounding Hage.
Knowing that it wasn't the smartest thing in the world to follow after them, into the cave, on the back of his broom of flying, the Spring Deacon would come to rest upon the ground before slinging his broom back over his shoulder. He would than wait several minutes before heading on into the cave entrance. Thankfully this cave had held a simple straightforward layout in which it would just follow a single path that would eventually grow into a much larger area. The walls had been lit up by mere torches and no other source of light. It was smart on the bandits end but also a possible flaw that he could exploit. Or at least one that he would have exploited if it wasn't for the fact that it would possibly render Klara blind. From what he could tell... It hadn't been worth it to throw his plan into affect. Instead he would continue to follow the path that was set before him before eventually coming out into that wider area.
As Thaddeus had made his way into the wider area, the pair of rogues from before would just be setting down the crates that they had taken beside a dozen others. Clearly they had been at this for awhile... This was something that Thaddeus simply could not permit to continue. 'I really hope that she can hear me beneath all of that clothing and wood...' Figuring that he might as well get things started, Thaddeus would begin to throw his part of the plan into effect. The Spring Deacon would begin to raise his right hand in a rather dramatic fashion and would bellow out a single word. "OREAD!" Upon doing so, the carbon matter from just ahead of him, deep within the stone of the cave, would begin to shift and shape itself into an 8 meter tall carbon golem! The carbon golem had been so tall that its 'skull' had practically brushed against the roof of the cave. From here, it was clear that all hell was going to break lose.
While Thaddeus himself had stood behind his golem and within the entranceway of the deeper portion of the cave, his golem had begun to block off the majority of this particular entrance. The Spring Deacon would go on to command his carbon golem to attack one of the nearby rogues but to hit them with enough force to hurt them but now kill them. As such, the carbon golem would rush forward and begin to slam into one of the rogues, sending him flying back into one of the walls of the cave. Aware of the fact that they were now being attacked, the rogues would begin to prepare themselves for battle. One of these rogues, who had appeared to be their leader from the way that he had been dressed, had gestured a hand towards the woman from before. Upon doing so, she would sink into the shadows beneath her before reappearing directly beside him. This was.. a new type of magic for Thaddeus to bear witness to. From what the Spring Deacon could tell though, this man was going to be the biggest obstacle here. Especially considering the fact that after the rogue had utilized their magic to move their companion across the room, the woman from beforehand had decided to unleash a torrent of iron blades at Thaddeus' carbon golem.

The plan was working. It took all her willpower to not make noise from excitement or worst, burst out and start fighting. She had to think of it like... uhhh, fishing. She heard that some people don't care about the first fish as it will can always be used to catch an even bigger fish. So these people were the small fish that would lead her to the big fish. As the the the supplies moved around, it was pretty bright since it was morning. Judging by how much time past, she figured it was probably noon by now. It was nice, warm. Even though the rocking and bumpiness of not being in a proper carriage was turning her stomach, she could at least say being among all the clothes was pleasant. So much so that the girl nearly nodded off. It was boring to just be still in one place for so long with only cracks of light to keep her company but soon enough that would change.
There was a very heavy thump and then all the light vanish waking the girl up. Were they here? Was it a good time to pop out? There was no signal from Thaddeus. What if he decided to take on everything by himself? What if he did not need her? What if he took all the credit? The girl started squirming in her dark crate with anxiety. She had to trust him. He was family. He was not going to abandon her. However, he could still steal the credit. This was a job to help him and his church. In the end, she decided to trust him. She could not see anyway and well, the crate was still moving. If there was fighting, then obviously things would be different right?
Soon enough, the crate would stop moving. Voices filled the new void of silence with laughter, praises, and talks about how stupid and weak the church was. This was it. Somebody was clearly here. She could burst out right now and engage them. She could beat them all up before Thaddeus got here and be praised for being strong. She could do it. She believed in herself. But, would that not make her a liar. She did promise Thaddeus she would follow the plan.
A warm red glow started moving towards her breaking the girl away from her worries about betrayal. They were probably going to better inspect the loot. The light seemed to have come from a torch which was not the best sign but at least that mean she had a light source for when she bursts out. If they opened her crate, plan or not, she would attack. She at least should have been allowed that. That was the agreement. She would not hide. She would ready her magic to attack. First thing to open the crate would get punched in the face. How many teeth could she knock out. Her goal was going to be 4. Thoughts like this continued until the light suddenly disappeared.
The voices were talking about something. It was quiet whispers but one word stood out, "intruder." Someone came in! Maria quickly moved to the edge of the crate to see what was happening. Unfortunately it was a hopeless endeavor. The crack was too small and the girl was too jittery to focus. Backing away, she just prayed that something will signal her to act. That thing would finally come.
The activation of the deacon's golem was not exactly the signal. To be honest, she forgot what the signal was. However, the man yelling his spell obviously that he wanted her to know. Good, she was ready to burst out of the box but then... she got another idea. See, she remembered in that story about the person hiding also used a box to do stealth maneuver and directly target the boss. How cool would that be if she could just appear next to the boss and take them out. Then obliviously all the grunts would coward and give up and when they go to jail, they can tell stories about how they were defeated by the great Wilhelm noble Klara!
Pushing the top of the crate off, the girl poked her head out. She saw the giant golem smash through the rogues but a man in the back activated some weird spell which allowed him to move one of his allies out of combat. Was that spatial magic? It was so cool. If only she could do something like that, or maybe if she had an ally that could do that. That did not matter right now. What mattered was taking action. The woman that the man saved started blasting the deacon's golem with metal shards, so this was a perfect time to take action. The girl slammed her fist together to summon her Amber's Strength. The girl would leap out from the crate and land a flying kick on the back of the leader and then spun kick the woman he saved into a cavern wall. The girl should have still been alive though she would have been heavily injured. She would then mount the shadow rouge holding her amber fist over his head. "How about you give up. Then you get to keep your teeth!"
The rouge would move his hands which was out of Maria's sight. That lead to him using his shadow magic to warp another two of his allies behind Maria. A sharp blow would knock Maria off of the man and a wave metal darts would rain on the girl as she was rolling away. Her mana skin was half depleted, a first for the girl. The girl chuckled standing up. Then she charged forward ducking over another blast of metal. It was time for the girl to get her revenge.

With the battle having fully commenced with his cousin diving out of the crate of clothing, the Spring Deacon would decide that now was the time to throw the rest of his plan into action. Each of the rogues had been centered around Klara at the moment so thankfully she would provide him with a distraction. One that would allow for him to secure the goods without any further difficulties. In order to ensure that the goods would remain safe throughout this battle, Thaddeus would start by stomping his right foot on the ground. Upon taking such an action, a closed off carbon dome that stands at about ten cubic meters both high and wide would burst forth from the floor of the cave itself and would wrap itself around the intended collection of crates that are within its 20 meter range of effect. The surrounding area around the dome would be quite visibly warped as about four hundred pounds worth of carbon matter had been taken to protect the crates of goods. This was an effect that he was intending on upholding until the rest of the rogues had been cleaned up by himself, his golem, and his cousin Klara.
Unsurprisingly, the fact that this massive dome had just burst into creation and taken up a good portion of the space in the cave had gone on to startle the Rogues. At least initially anyways. These roguish individuals had no intentions on allowing their plundered goods to be taken from them and weren't about to just stand idly by as this pair of interlopers had gotten involved. To them, they were going to need to remove the biggest obstacle first and foremost. While the dwarven lass had just attacked their boss, the rogue thugs had known that their boss had been a capable individual that could handle himself. As such, one of the rogue thugs would begin to bull rush their way towards the massive golem whilst one of the others would stay behind so that they could lay waist to the gemstone clone dwarf. The rogue that had been rushing towards the golem had decided to coat his skin in iron and would reinforce his arms and legs with magic as well. They would than leap into the air and attempt to slam their fist into that of the carbon golem. It was in this moment that they had known that they had made a crucial mistake. This carbon golem that they had been rushing towards... Well it had begun to rush at them as well, in response to a mental command from the Spring Deacon. Even with their body having been reinforced and coated in iron, the rogue hadn't foreseen the fact that the carbon golem had been just a step faster than them. The fists of the carbon golem and the rogue would collide and a small shockwave would emit from the two, sending the rogue flying back and into the wall, unconscious, whilst the carbon golem itself would begin to collapse into a pile of carbon matter on the ground.
While it was a pain to see that this roguish individual had been capable of taking on his carbon golem, Thaddeus had understood that things hadn't been quite finished as of yet. There was still two rogues remaining within this encounter and they had been prepping to take care of the gem-clad teen. Thaddeus had hoped that she had been capable of cleaning them up on her own but wasn't quite sure what other tricks may have been up the rogues sleeves. Knowing that he had to at the very least place his trust in her though, he would be sure to keep his attention split between her, the rogues, and the carbon dome that he had created.

A large dome rose up in the cave. Given the type of material it was made out of, one could only assume Thaddeus had found a great position and was holding it down. So now everything was up to Maria. The grunt in front of her readied to knee her but the girl shifted her body so that instead of going for an uppercut, the girl would grab the man's leg and then spin, throwing him off balance and into the air with a broken leg. Then she slammed him as they hit the ground to further seal the deal. He was not getting back up any time soon and even if he would wake up. He was not standing with that leg. All that was left was the Leader. When she turned to the mans location, he disappeared leaving behind a drop of shadow magic. It looked as if there was a puddle of black water which was still rippling. "Running away? "Don't think i'll let you get away."
The leader return the girl's quip with slash of shadow across her back. The girl felt her mana skin flicker, breaking before reforming. However the man just slashed again completely breaking her mana skin and spewing blood from her back. The girl screamed, falling onto her knees without the protection of her mana. It hurt. This man was surely the strongest thing she faced. Suddenly her hair was yanked up, sending another wave of stinging through her back. He whispered something in her ear but the pain, not from her wounds but from her pride, blocked out his words. The man then prepared for a final strike but the girl grabbed his hand with her amber gauntlet and yanked him forward while crushing his hand. The man flipped forward pulling some of her hair from her head. That was the last bit of damage he would do as the girl stepped on his arm. Tears ran down her face but her she remained smiling. The smile was not bright but instead, dark and demented. With her free foot, she kicked the man's arm and snapped it at the elbow sending the man into shock. She picked up the man and then threw him into the dome chuckling. However that was as far as she would go.
The physical pain screamed and she fell to her knees shivering. She opened her right hand widely in front of her self and activated her Jade's Blessing the stone wobbled as the girl struggled to concentrate and then flew over her head. Then it released its healing energy slowly restoring some of the damage suffered from the man's attack. She grimaced but did not move. It still hurt. It hurt outside. It hurt in her heart. The girl felt her body grow weak and then fell onto the ground. She was still awake but she wish she had not been. She wish she could just wake up from this nightmare. For someone to actually pull one on her. The war was won, the supplies were saved, but deep down, the girl felt like she failed.
After Thaddeus put down the barrier, Maria would get up to help with the supplies, moving slower than normal because her wound was still healing.

Given that he had still been on the other side of the dome, the side in which Klara and the other individuals had been, the Spring Deacon had seen the entirety of what had just unfolded. The way that she had chosen to take down the rogues with extremely excessive violence. Even though this was something that was permitted by the Church for this mission, he still couldn't believe that she had gone this far. To push herself to the point in which she had been breaking limbs and forcing the rogues into a state of shock... It was too much for Thaddeus to see. This wasn't the kind of thing that he had wanted to see his cousin do. Part of him had strongly considered yelling at her for lashing out like that, or to even go as far as to restrain her with his sacred chains of restraint, but he wouldn't allow himself to take such actions against her. Not now... She had quite clearly overheard something that had sent her into this rage and by this point, it didn't seem as though she could physically or mentally handle anything else. This... was going to have to be a conversation for another time.
That being the case, Thaddeus would allow for his carbon dome spell to release itself. The barrier of carbon had begun to sink back into the floor of the cave as the previously protected goods would be revealed. From what he could see, it would appear as though everything had been in its proper place, despite a few items that had been removed prior to their arrival within the cave. The Spring Deacon would begin to take a few moments to collect all of the goods and place them back within their respective crates before utilizing his ring of everlasting summons to call forth three more carbon golems. The four golems would than be commanded to pick up each of the crates that had been taken, in addition to Klara and the rogues. It was clear that the rogues weren't going to be going anywhere other than jail anytime soon... With that they would return back to the town and turn over the rogues and the crates. Thankfully, everything here had come to an end... Even if it hadn't been the most peaceful of one.
