Aura is a fairly petite young woman who takes great pride in her appearance. She goes out of her way to appear as well off as she can in spite of her upbringing not being the greatest. She keeps her blonde hair cut short, framing her face in a way to draw attention to her bright, golden eyes. Her hair is almost always adorned with ornaments, be it flowers or feathers. She tends towards lighter colors for her clothing, whites and blues, or even the golden accents of her favorite dress. Her skin is near flawless, the only true blemish coming in the form a nasty scar on her left arm that she generally keeps covered with either her clothes or bandages.



Bright and free. That is the singular phrase that Aura tries to live her life by at any given moment. Her goal is to be a beacon to those around her, someone to be relied on almost no matter the situation that is presented to her. She loves bringing smiles to people around her, be it with her music or a good joke. She is almost always smiling and trying to brighten any moment that she is dealing with, even if it is one that others would crumble in. She holds an air of calm and control even in the most dire of situations.

Aura's most unhealthy aspect to her attitude and push is her drive. She almost always pushes herself to do better, even if it's to the detriment of her own health. Being a commoner has lead her to believe she has to work much harder than others at what she does. It is not uncommon for her to pass out in random places due to lack of sleep from late nights of studying or training her magic further. Unless forced to she will not take a break. Ultimately Aura wants to be someone, someone important, more than just a commoner but someone that others can look up to as someone to be protected by.

There are reasons for a more skittish side to come out of Aura. When thrust into social situations involving people she doesn't know she'll often time shy away, especially when it comes to men. She'll try her best with people of her squad or when she's put into a team with others, but it does not necessarily mean that she won't tend to slide back in closer to familiar people. Once she has come to trust someone she will always be there for them, even if it means putting her own goals and dreams on hold. Even when someone has achieved her trust though, Aura tends not to get too close to a person, having her own personal barriers up almost constantly due to her own history with losing people.



Aura was born the younger of twins to a mother who got pregnant after a fling she had with an older gentleman after a street performance. She never got to know her brother though because unfortunately he was snatched from the single mother in the middle of the night with no investigation bringing the family back together. As a result Aura grew up believing she was a single child without a father in her life. Her mother struggled at times to keep a roof over their heads but she always managed to pull through with her abilities as a dancer and singer, keeping the two on the road almost constantly in order to find new audiences. She showed nothing but genuine love to her young daughter with high hopes that she'd grow up as more than the orphan she had grown up as herself.

Aura quickly began to learn how to dance and sing from her mother, both coming fairly naturally to the young girl, especially singing. When her magic appeared and she had dual elements her mother was shocked, but pleased. She worked hard to get better at singing. Eventually she started helping her mother in the hopes that she could also improve their life with her help. When she was old enough she received her grimoire just as anyone else would and was shocked to find herself in possession of a higher tier grimoire then a commoner normally had. The shock and excitement didn't last long though, a tragedy striking the two person family.

Four months after receiving her grimoire the two were attacked by a group of thugs on the road. The scuffle left her mother dead, Aura herself escaping with a nasty wound on her arm but at the very least she was alive, she would live to see another day. She ran into a traveling merchant who took her in, the man deciding initially to just take pity on the wounded girl. He treated her wound, making sure to take care of her as she recovered from the physical trauma of the attack. Eventually though he decided that she needed to do something in return for the medical help that he had provided to the young girl. One night he attempted to force himself upon her, Aura using her magic to escape from the man, saving herself from a horrendous fate.

She was now alone in the world though, her trust of people in general simply broken. She had lost her mother and the man who had nursed her back to health had made her realize just how cruel the world could be to a teenage girl such as herself. The two criminal acts had left her scared to really approach anyone, even hesitating to sing for others. She wanted to avoid that feeling again, and at the same time she knew she wasn't the only one who had suffered the same kind of fate. What could she do though? She was just one girl in a larger world of injustices blessed with a level of magic that a commoner normally would not have.

Partly out of desperation, partly out of a need for somewhere to go and carrying the knowledge that she carried one of the rarer tiers of grimoire she decided to try out for the Magic Knights. Things went well for her through the majority of the exams, the only real and biggest hiccup coming once the combat phase arrived. She was paired with a male, a pairing she didn't know would be an issue until it happened. She froze up, unable to strike back but attempted to defend herself and avoid as much as possible. It was the worst possible showing she could of had in the moment. She was shocked at the fact she got an offer from the Blue Rose, but quickly accepted. She needed to prove herself, prove herself and become someone and make her name one to remember in the hopes that her mother's life would not have been forgotten either.
