Sumire walked towards the flower arrangement area. Many table upon tables were set up along with displays, Currently vacant, just waiting for attention and placements for them to show off. Sumire look towards the various cute flower stalls that held bins upon bins and containers of various flowers, sticks, decorations, and foilage. in a few other stalls were various vases and folders for the arrangements. [break][break]
She nodded to Shi allowing her to leave her as she moved forwards walking through the stalls grabbing a various assortments of flowers and a vase to hold the arrangement in with the various tools needed. She was no stranger to flower arrangements. This was a topic she was raised to be proficient in flower arrangements. This was something she always found relaxing to do for fun but stressful if it was for a special occasion. She looked at her pieces and her vase as she began with cutting her steams and twigs to her desired length. Humming softly as her sapphire-like blue eyes glistened brightly in delight at the sight infront of her. [break][break]
A first this item may seem like a simple thin, yet large golden ring that could be used as a bracelet, that is until each of the other pieces are connected. The first seems to be an elaborate hair comb whose teeth are made to sit inside the ring, this part of the hairpin is adorned with carefully crafted butterflies and flowers made of several different colours of jade. The flowers have small pearls in the centre while each of the butterfly's antennae is made from gold with a small piece of mother of pearl at the top. At the base of the comb section of the hairpin, there are three golden chains which start with three pearls, then three small gold charms, three more pearls, three small golden balls, and two butterflies on the outer chain while the centre is split into three additional chains. The centre has mother of pearl beads. Each of the five chains has a small carved pearl flower. To make sure the ring and comb stay in place the last piece of this elaborate hairpin is the pin itself which is made from gold that has a pearl at the top with two splintering golden chains that have the same small carved pearl flowers.[break]
History:[break]
The history of this hairpin has been a long one, in fact, it has been around for so long and had so many owners that the adornments and chains had once been broken, chipped or lost. The origins of the hairpin weren't anything significant, a man met a woman, the man fell in love with that woman and wanted to show his devotion to her and so made a token of his love. It was something that was given to the firstborn son of the Yinsil family at their coming of age so they may give it to their betrothed when he felt the pang of love for her. By the time it had gotten to Enlil, it was nothing more than a husk of its former self and so through painstaking love and attention to detail he removed each of the old adornments making them into new pieces of jewellery for his mother and sisters before crafting brand new ones for the woman that would one day be his wife. It had taken him years to get the hairpin in such a state that he found it aesthetically pleasing to look at and that his future wife would feel honoured to wear it to show their bond of love.

A small smile played across the blonde’s lips, her golden eyes dancing across the flowers that were currently set up among the displays. There were very few people that had shown themselves to be interested so far and that was fine by her. Well, really she’d be surprised if anyone she’d be less comfortable around ended up showing up. Did men even care about such things like flower arrangements? Well, there probably were some but she doubted any would bother her. If anything, maybe she’d find a woman to potentially join at a table, hopefully keeping herself separated from the awkwardness that was the noble men.
She paused in front of a particular stand, her eyes settled on the flowers before picking a single one, the first that had caught her attention. A single pink rose, her mother’s favorite flower. She took a deep whiff of the aroma, her smile not fading, even if there was a hint of sadness in the girl’s eyes. Aura silently moved onto another stall, opting to complement the rose with some tulips, blue succulents, daisies, and a few other brightly colored flowers. After collecting all of these she found a vase and moved onto the tables, noting a girl on her own. Maybe she could avoid the others more easily that way?
With that thought on her mind she moved over to the table, offering the girl a smile, arms full of the flowers and other materials, though the pink rose was simply situated on top. ”Do you mind if I join you?” she asked with a friendly smile. It was fine if she was told no, but she really would prefer some form of company.

While walking through the streets of Raque, enjoying the annual flower blossom fete, Jevi had made the decision to go and see the flower bouquets people were making. Every single year they never ceased to amaze him with their boundless beauty, and he figured this year wouldn’t be any different. Though Jevi himself wasn’t all that creative and figured he wouldn’t be able to make a proper arrangement himself, he was more than happy to enjoy what others made and to compliment them on their work. After all, what kind of flower blossom fete would it be without these arrangements? They were what made the festival what it was, and there was no better celebration of spring than seeing the flowers in their full bloom again.
[break][break]
As he made his way around the area, Jevi’s eyes were primarily glued to the various flowers and other decorations that were spread out for people to use for their arrangements. There were many types of flowers such as tulips, roses, daisies and they came in all sorts of colors too. They were clearly fresh and in good shape, ready to be used in the creation of beautiful arrangements. “They are gorgeous.” There was a serene smile on his face as he kept looking through the different flowers, a bit lost in his own world so-to-speak. It certainly wasn’t a manly thing to be enjoying this part of the festival in the way Jevi was, but the young elf never cared about such things. He unapologetically liked what he liked, and nature happened to be one of these things. If anything, Jevi felt pity for those who couldn’t appreciate these small things in life.
[break][break]
After a small while of admiring the flowers, Jevi looked around once more and noticed two women who had taken to actually making flower arrangements. They both had a vase at the ready, and had gathered the materials they needed in order to make their visions come to life. They both happened to be blonde, which was a funny coincidence to Jevi. As he began to make his way over, his eyes fell on Aura. Had she not been in the recent recruitment exam just like he had been? Or was he mistaken? No matter the case, Jevi stopped at a respectful distance and gave the two women a slight bow with a hand over his heart. It was how he usually greeted others, after all. “Good day to you both. I hope you do not mind me enjoying the various arrangements made?” He stood back up straight, a warm smile gracing his features. “I’d try my hand at it, but I fear these flowers deserve better than my clumsy attempts.” He chuckled a bit at his own expense, feeling quite comfortable in meeting new people.

Post by Kingsley Farebrother on Apr 4, 2024 14:59:07 GMT -5
Not yet hungry enough to try any of the multitude of dishes prepared by the citizens of Raque, Kingsley allowed his curiosity to lead him to a somewhat secluded corner of the festival where the flower arrangement was being held. The Blue Rose knights clearly had a hand in procuring these flowers, as many of them were recognizable to Kingsley as specimens that grew only in far off climates of the Clover Kingdom, their aroma and color outstanding. The young knight wondered aloud if the Blue Rose had a garden to cultivate these within their headquarters or if they rode far and wide collecting flowers in preparation for this yearly event. His line of questioning was met with a glare from an unfamiliar woman standing nearby, her shoulders swathed in the blue mantle of the all-female Magic Knight squad. Guess they didn't look too kindly on a man poking his nose into their business.
Shrugging off the strange behavior, Kingsley returned to the matter at hand: assembling a unique and tasteful floral arrangement. The first of the long banquet tables held vases, urns, pots and jars of various colors and styles. Settling on a transparent blue vase with long vertical ridges. The jar was quite flat at its base, before swelling out and tapering at the top, resembling a light bulb beset with rippling waves on its long side. Before even considering the flowers that it might contain, Kingsley gravitated to the end of the table holding the ribbons, snipping a fair length and tying a bow along the neck of the vase. Carrying the vase to the next table, Kingsley traded it out for a basket and began collecting the flowers that caught his eye; pink bottlebrushes, white chrysanthemums, purple poppies, white delphiniums, sword ferns for some extra greenery, and pink and purple alliums for more texture. As he walked back to his vase, Kingsley couldn't escape the feeling that he was missing that final touch. Turning back to the table, a single white rose seemed to glitter in the sunlight, as if calling out to him. Carefully grasping the flower to avoid its thorns, Kingsley realized the perfect spot for it as the centerpiece of his arrangement.
So enraptured by his project, Kingsley had not been paying attention to his surroundings. As the young knight stepped back towards his waiting vase, he unwittingly bumped into a fellow Magic Knight, a young man with snow white hair, who had just bowed in greeting to a pair of woman standing at the assembly table. As he made contact with the other man, Kingsley lost his footing, dropping his basket of flowers before he was able to steady himself. "AH! Oh my, my deepest apologies, I wasn't watching where I was going."
Sumire cut the steams of her blue orchids to a short angle. Some of the steams were full bloom and others seemed like unready saplings. She loved the vibrant light blue from the inside to the darker blue on the outside. It was a truely beautiful flower and one she loved, it was much like her sapphire like blue eyes, they glistened and sparkled in the light that reflect from them. She looked over at the circus orange roses that were her next victims of attention, they reminded her of someone very dear to her. He had so many shades but each was vibrant and beautiful to her. [break][break]
It was then she heard a unfamiliar female's voice that she snapped out of her train of thought looking up towards the source as it was a small blonde haired female with gold eyes. She had a lot of flowers and supplies as a single rose on top seemed the most carefully cared for. That most be her center flower. She allowed a soft warm smile to form on her light pink painted lips as she motioned to the space next to her. "By all means, I would love company on this beautiful day to show the world some beautiful arrangements. "She said sweetly. adjusting the circus roses into her hand returning to the arrangement, to cutting the steams only to see a male moved towards them, only to bow respectfully to them introducing himself and politely asking if he can enjoy the arrangements as he felt the flower deserved better. The man had a way with words, sumire will give him that, he seemed more noble then a commoner as he had manners. [break][break] "Not at all, go ahead, if you like I am more then willing to help show you how to make an arrangement, even you can replicate with ease and grace."She welcomed " I am Sumire Honoka. It is a pleasure to meet you both." She said clasping her closed left hand covered under her right bowing to Both Aura and Jevi. [break][break] It was during the bow that she heard a crash of sorts causing her to straighten up moving around the table to the man's side ensuring him and Jevi were alright " Are you both okay?"She asked gently to the both of them, picking up some of the flowers. Water formed a thin layer around her fingers as she swept her tips over the petals and leaves, cleaning them off while moving the petals back to their positions. " You should be more careful, such beautiful plants deal with enough of the elements tainting their beauty."She Spoke "as well as the elements should never have to ruin your outfit." [break][break]

She smiled at the other girl, giving her a small nod. "It is quite a beautiful day. Thank you for letting me join you." She set her things down carefully, the singer quietly starting to work on getting her selection situated before another voice spoke up, her eyes moving quickly in the direction of it. She shifted a little, instinctively putting the other girl between herself and the man that had approached. He was being nice enough but his actions and mannerisms were too noble. She hadn't really had any good interactions with the nobles, most seemed to focus on the fact she had a high tier grimoire for a commoner.
She watched as another man seemed to be not paying attention and collided with the white haired man. Her eyes flicked down towards the flowers, noting how it had scattered for a moment. She was about to take a step forward to help clean up but hesitated. No, that was the opposite of what her mind was telling her to do. She had come to the flowers to avoid men, she didn't want to deal with the social stress of being around them. It wasn't on them, they could be as nice as they wanted but so was he before the incident. No, kindness could not be trusted. They would only ever want her for her looks or grimoire and nothing more. After all, what else was there that could catch the attention of someone?
Instead she focused on the fact she had flowers in front of herself and continued to carefully work, the rose set out of the way to avoid any damage to it before she looked up towards the group, her eyes flicking over towards the girl as she used magic to help herself straighten out the flowers, repairing the damage from the fall. "Are you a water mage?" she asked curiously. Aura always enjoyed learning about the magic around her, she was always looking to improve her own knowledge after all. She wanted to improve, she wanted to be better. Though a part of her also just wondered if it was easier to learn spells for other elements. Aura herself had two and made it awkward sometimes for her. She wasn't entirely sure if she should focus on song or pure aura or both.
"A-ah, I'm Aura by the way, I meant to at least introduce myself before we were… interrupted. N-not that you two aren't welcome; it was just.. sudden." She glanced back to her slowly forming bouquets, unsure of what else to say. She felt like she should say more but she wasn't exactly comfortable now.

The sight of all the flowers truly was soothing to Jevi. There was a certain sense of peace that they exuded that could only be found in nature, so to be able to experience such a feeling in the middle of the bustling city was always welcome. The elf took his time to enjoy the various flowers that were laid out to be used for flower arrangements, basking in their colors, shapes and sizes without a care in the world. He was so enthralled by them for a moment that looks from certain Blue Rose members for a man being here didn’t even register for him. If he had, Jevi might have left to leave them to their own devices, not wanting to overstay his welcome in any way even if he wasn’t doing anything wrong. He simply didn’t like insisting on others or to make them uncomfortable if he could help it. Not that people usually were uncomfortable around him, but the sentiment remained the same either way.
[break][break]
When he finally broke free from his slight flower induced trance, the young elf made his way over to two women who were starting to work on their flower arrangements. He had come here to enjoy those, after all, and seeing the process of them being put together was just as interesting as watching the final result if not more so. It always amazed him how people were able to make such beautiful pieces of art, and that went from flower arrangements to paintings and even the egg painting done elsewhere in the city. Jevi himself simply didn’t have that level of creativity, or rather he lacked the practice to make his visions come to life. It wasn’t something his father had ever let him explore, only focused on his magic and the future of the Suru family. All his father wanted was for him to be strong and make the family more important than it was now, and while Jevi did want to become stronger too it wasn’t for the same reasons and as such he had left and broken the contact with his family. He’d do things his own way, whether his father approved of it or not.
[break][break]
Thankfully these two young ladies more than welcoming to him enjoying their flower arrangements, and Sumire even offered to teach him how to make his own. A bright smile graced his features as he tilted his head inquisitively at the offer. “I’m Jevi Suru, it’s a pleasure to meet you. Do you really think I co-.” His sentence was interrupted when another person, a taller man, accidentally bumped into him which made him drop all his gathered flowers on the ground. The man immediately apologized, and Jevi waved his hand as a way to show that the apology wasn’t necessary and gave an answer to him and Sumire. “I’m fine, and it’s quite alright. Accidents happen.” The young elf was not at all bothered and quickly bend through his knees to help the man pick up the flowers.
[break][break]
He heard Sumire mention to the man that he should be more careful as the flowers had to endure enough and the girl then used her magic to clean off the flowers she had picked up. So she possessed the water element then? How interesting, and obviously fitting when working with flowers. Once the flowers were collected, Jevi got back up as well and dusted off his clothes a bit, a smile still on his face. The other blonde girl also spoke up, introducing herself as Aura and mentioning how they had been interrupted before clarifying that the both of them were welcome however it had been an unexpected turn of events to see the two men appear her. Jevi shot her a smile and shook his head, not at all offended by her words as he understood that men often didn’t show up near the flower arrangements. The girl was nervous, but that could have a myriad of reasons and Jevi saw no reason to pry or assume anything. “It’s nice to meet you too, Aura. Apologies for showing up so unexpectedly.” Nothing else needed to be said on the matter, right?
[break][break]
With the flowers cleaned up, Jevi turned to the taller man. He put his right hand over his heart and gave him a slight bow. “I didn’t catch your name. I’m Jevi Suru, new recruit of the Crimson Lion squad.” It wouldn’t be polite to ignore the man, so he figured it was best to introduce himself to him as well. Whether the other man wished to stick around was up to him, and Jevi wanted to circle back to the offer that he was made by Sumire before. The elf turned to face the younger girl and cleared his throat. “Anyway, if you are willing to show me the ropes, Sumire, then I’m willing to give making a flower arrangement an attempt. Bear with me, though, as it will be my first time.” He chuckled sheepishly, rubbing the back of his head. “Where do we begin?” Jevi would dutifully follow Sumire’s instructions, eager to learn from her.

Sometimes it was nice to just sit around and enjoy the festivities. And frankly, today was just a nice day in general. Wind in her face, sun shining on her face, and able to really just enjoy the sun as the kingdom enjoyed another day of peace...
Granted, it still grated her nerves just a tad as she let out a sigh. She was bored, yes, but she could control herself at least just a little bit... Her emotions at least could be kept in check for now... maybe she could pick a fight with someone or something later...
As she thought of this, letting her feet simply just walk her wherever and whenever she felt like going, she decided to follow wherever the flowers took her, which meant that, Synthia eventually found herself walking out towards what appeared to be a set of banquet tables with all sorts of flowers and such arranged around the area. How did she end up here and not any of the other places completely adorned with flowers, call it luck or whatever, she clearly didn't mind as she made her way in... It was surprisingly busy yet not busy at the same time, with only a small handful of people set around the area as Synthia walked in, yet each one was diligently working hard... well, at least two of them... taking in who was there was quite a sight as she skimmed over heads and shoulders. As she did though, her eyes would settle on a specific set of white hair that was quite recognizable.
...Wait, was that Jevi?
"Ooooyyyyyy~! Fancy meeting you here, huh Jevi~?"
Color Synthia surprised as she walked over seeing her fellow Knight here in such a place. Though, then again, she was wholly expecting to have run into her friends along the way on her journeys through the Festival. Not much to complain about though as she walked up to the others at the table. Along that note of recognizing people and such though, there were a few people she couldn't particularly note or remember their names, but almost all of them there were all Magic Knights here judging by the mantles they all wore. Well all except one, but eh, not much to disclose since she didn't look too out of the ordinary. Overall, just a normal gathering of people and nice faces all around.
Though, something quite humerus seemed to be in process, and she chuckled when she watched one of the Knights there crash into Jevi, dropping his flowers in the process as Jevi proceeded to say it was alright, and help him up. Synthia, though, was just amused as she walked over, laughing a bit as she leaned in to see what else was all going on.
"Sorry, sorry, couldn't help myself from laughing. Name's Synthia by the by. Magic Knight just like most of you guys."
Synthia though, seemed to be enjoying the festivities though, as she waltzed over, and found a seat that wasn't occupied next to the others, before sitting down, legs crossed as she leaned onto the table, a cheeky grin on her face as she took everyone there into consideration. The two girls sat at the table both seemed quite diligent with their works on the flower arrangements. Jevi seemed to be new to the whole idea of making flower arrangements, earning another chuckle from Synthia, but she would let it slide as she looked at the flowers that the two girls had tied together at this point.
Of course, the different colors and flowers used told different stories that Synthia didn't exactly know their stories, but regardless, she found that they looked nice nonetheless. So of course, she would decide what better way to find out than simply to join in, as she set about trying to find a specific flower in the bundles and bundles of baskets and flowers there. Would they even have it there? She didn't know, but there was no way to know without looking.
"Anyways, nice to meet all of you~ Never seen one of these Festivals in person... well, at least from what I can remember."

Sumire smiled as she nodded in agreement. "Indeed it is, such a beautiful day to make arrangements." She had responded while tending to her arrangement, that was until the sight of a white haired male came to make his presence known before getting knocked into by another. she had moved forward without a thought, more worried of the flowers then the two men as she was sure they weren't going to be broken after some bumping. [break][break] She turned to aura picking up the last of the flowers, cleansing them with her magic as she watched aura listening to her words watching her body language. The girl was anxious. Maybe an innate fear of males? Maybe just a crowd? She would be lying if she wasn't curious of the girl. [[break][break] She smiled sitting the flowers down " Well Yes, Here recently my song magic has seemed to form to water as my voice no longer creates my beautiful song spells. It is nice to put a face to a name, Aura is a pretty name." She admitted. She then turned to Jevi as she nodded. "it is nice to meet you Lord Suru. Flower arranging is easy and very relaxing, it is all about finding the harmony within the beauty of the flowers."She said returning to her spot as she patted the other side of her for Jevi to join " First thing first of any good arrangement, find the center piece Look for a flower that speaks to you."She said with a smile before hearing a smaller laughter of a female with a massive witch hat with food on it? Wait was that an emergency ration or something? Certainly not a style she would wear. But to each their own. [break][break] "We are tending to the practice of flower arrangements. Would you like to assist and make one yourself?" She offered with a smile to the witch. her sapphire like eyes watched the gathered group as it might turn out to be a flower arrangement class. Not something she expected to do but she was more then willing to enjoy these interactions.

Kingsley looked up from the floor to see the robed woman kneeling down, hands swiftly collecting the fallen flora and depositing them back into the basket. Even her pity towards the younger knight oozed grace, as she stood back up and turned back to the assembly table. Standing back up, Kingsley took a moment to truly study the other party goers circling the table, each with a collection of flowers yet to be arranged into the empty vases. The girl that had helped him gather up his flowers didn't appear to be a Magic Knight, wearing no insignia nor mantle representing any of the squads. Her blonde hair was held up by braids and pins, forming an elaborate style that seemed impossible to put together alone to Kingsley. A long blue kimono flowed from her shoulders, light floral patterns decorating its body as it trailed down to the ground, hiding her legs in its embrace. The noblewoman seemed somewhat familiar, but Kingsley could not put a name to her face. She smiled as she spoke to the group, her soft voice holding an obvious musical lilt.
The other blonde mage looked and spoke as if she could be her sister, no cousin, thought Kingsley as he looked at her more closely. She too had a musical chirp to her voice, but upon closer examination the facial features were all different. Flicking back through what he had overheard, her name was Aura. She seemed far less comfortable than the robed woman, her posture closed off to the other half of the table. Next to her was the white haired man that Kingsley had the misfortune of running in to. Kingsley bowed his head toward the man, attempting to recall the name he had heard the girls call him. "My apologies, Ser Jevi. I was so wrapped up in what I was doing, I failed to notice where I was going. My name is Kingsley, of the Purple Orcas." The Crimson Lion seemed indifferent to the gaff, waving off the incident.
Soon Kingsley heard the familiar sound of laughter coming from across the table, and raised his head up to find its source. An even shorter woman held her hand over her mouth to stifle her giggle, before taking a seat and addressing the white haired man with great familiarity. She glanced at him with sapphire eyes beneath the brim of an impressive witch's hat. Kingsley followed suit, quietly taking a seat to mask his embarrassment. The blue robed woman seemed to be an old hand at this, easily putting together her flowers in an artful display. Kingsley had an eye for design, that was true, but living things weren't the same as static fabric. "I for one wouldn't be offended by a lesson. This is quite a bit different from putting together a dress or robe, even if floral patterns are my specialty."

Aura's eyes practically brightened at the mention of Song, though whether or not it was because of the fact the girl before her was experienced in the magic could very easily be debated, even within her own head she wasn't entirely sure which it was. She had a love for music beyond just the magic after all. She had been raised by her mother on the road playing and performing for people. She had always been singing for as long as she could remember and the idea that someone shared one of her elements, even if it was no longer true, was exciting to her.
"Have you always enjoyed singing? I've never come across someone else with Song magic outside of my mother. Do you still sing without the magic? Have you written anything yourself? Did you have a pre-" she cut herself off, realizing quickly she had started just listing off questions before going quiet, her cheeks reddening a little. Music was one of the few things that could just pull her completely out of her shell, though she stiffened a little as the men started to sit down at the table. No, they hadn't made any moves that could be deemed as a reason for her to react poorly. So far both had been fairly cordial and hadn't even made a move to get closer to her specifically.
Instead Aura's hands continued to move, her focus shifting back to her own bouquet as she continued to build gently around the single pink rose she had picked up. She couldn't do more than the single rose, it would not fit into the theme of wanting to make something in remembrance of her mother if she did so. At least not along the lines of what she wanted to do. Instead she made the bouquet into a slowly growing ring with the daisies and greens spaced about to fill in the gaps between the bigger flowers as she slowly withdrew back into herself. It was easier to do that, just keep to herself and ignore the people around her. Though at the same time it was rude to completely disregard those around her right? It wasn't like she was actively trying to but she also knew it wasn't what her mother would do. She'd at least try to socialize more, even if Aura's own mental state was telling her she shouldn't. After all, what if she said the wrong thing and the boys thought she was completely vulnerable? That was definitely not something she wanted to deal with, especially if they were like... No, they were both Magic Knights, they couldn't be that way right? Why would they even be allowed in the force if they were that way? She wasn't sure but staying silent was not the thing to do.
"Sorry by the way…" she started, realizing she had just kind of quietly gone about her creation. "I'm not really that good at teaching this kind of stuff… I just kind of go off instinct and what I think looks good to my own eye. I-it probably isn't that good to actual professionals or anything. My passion is music, not visual arts… Well I guess that's a lie too since I dance as well…" She trailed off, losing herself in her own thoughts before a soft sigh escaped her. She was not good at this socializing thing. She could do it when acting as a performer, doing so all her life made it easy. Her mom had always made it look so easy.

So many things were happening all at once in a short amount of time. As Kingsley bumped into Jevi, he himself got distracted by a familiar voice which then started to laugh at the predicament that the group had found himself in. Thankfully, Jevi could see the humor in the situation as well and waved it off. There was no reason to be upset about what happened, aside from some flowers that might have gotten ruined? He knelt down to help Kingsley pick them up while he addressed Synthia. “Good to see you again as well, Synthia. How have you been?” He gave the witch a smile while he gathered the flowers as Sumire began to use her water magic to clean them off. Once he got up, Kingsley apologized to him and called him “Ser Jevi”, to which the elf shook his head. “No problem, and just Jevi is fine.” There was no need for such formalities. They were both Magic Knights after all.
[break][break]
What he did pick up on was the conversation between Aura and Sumire about Sumire’s magic. As it turned out, Sumire used to have Song magic, but it had changed to water and her voice no longer produced the beautiful song spells. While Jevi frowned at the news in the first place, his face lit up when he suddenly heard Aura go into what was almost a rant about music; but a happy one. The girl had looked so timid before, but it was like the ice had broken and she allowed herself to get excited. It was adorable to see, and so when she shut herself off Jevi tilted his head inquisitively. Why did she stop talking? Was she worried she was annoying the others? “I’d love to hear more about your music, Aura.” Jevi gave her a soft smile, nothing but kindness in his eyes mixed with the excitement he’d felt over her own excitement. The boy easily got swept away in other people’s emotions, after all.
[break][break]
Sumire offered to help him along with the flower arranging, and Jevi was happy to accept the offer if she was so willing to teach. When she called him Lord Suru, he couldn’t help but chuckle a little and repeat the same thing he told Kingsley before. “Please, just Jevi is fine. Harmony in the flowers huh? Like, their colors?” He brought his hand to his chin as he looked over Sumire’s current piece, and his eyes glanced at Aura’s too before he gave a slight nod in understanding. “Got it, I’ll go see what I like. Synthia, did you find any flowers you like?” He watched as the witch had gotten up and was checking out the flowers as well. Jevi joined her, looking at all the options before he settled on some white lilies to be his centerpiece. They reminded him of his mother’s white hair. To accompany the lilies, Jevi gathered some greens along with some blue periwinkles. That should look nice together, right?
[break][break]
Once he had his vase and chosen flowers, Jevi joined to one side of Sumire like she had gestured him to do. While he had an idea and the material, he still lacked the know-how on where to even begin with a flower arrangement. “So, how do I start? Do you start with the centerpiece and work outwards?” That seemed to be the most logical way of going about it, but what would he know? This was the first time he attempted this, so he would dutifully await Sumire’s guidance and follow the steps she’d tell him to go through. Kingsley spoke up about not minding some pointers too, bringing up that this was different from making a dress or robe. “Oh, you’re a tailor as well as a Magic Knight, Kingsley?” Jevi had always been a natural at talking to others, finding it easy to ask simple questions to keep a conversation going mostly due to his genuine interest in others. Roping Kingsley into the conversation was as natural as breathing for the young elf, as he paid attention to those around him.
[break][break]
Aura seemed to apologize about not being all that great at teaching this kind of stuff as she went by instinct for it. She mentioned her passion was music, though she did enjoy some forms of visual arts as well. “So that’s why you got so excited over the song magic.” A bright smile graced his features now that he had put two and two together. “I was never really given the opportunity to practice art, but I’ve enjoyed various performances in my years of wandering. It’s fascinating how a good performance will stick with you for years, isn’t it?” Aura’s unease was easy to see to anyone present, so Jevi hoped that he could help her open up a bit more by letting her talk about music and performing again. That seemed to have helped her earlier, after all.

Synthia couldn't help but be just the slightest bit amused when she saw Jevi and the other Magic Knight guy stumbling over their feet before straightening up and introducing the others in the group. Synthia, while of course sitting somewhere comfortable, also made sure not to be disrespectful when she decide to try her hand at joining the people there.
paused when the blonde haired girl in the kimono smiled her way and offered to have her join at the table to make some flowering arrangements for them. She didn't particularly mind having lessons or such, but she was probably going to just wing it as she waved her hands and let out a chuckle, watching as the blonde haired girl started to lecture the other two boys there about how to make flowers.
"I'll be good on the Lesson part, I'm just here to enjoy the flowers, some good company, and... uh... well, maybe if the flower arrangement I end up making is nice enough, I can throw it in with the ones on display?"
She blushed a little as she felt like Jevi might tease her til no end if he found out her girly side was starting to show here. She didn't mind him knowing, it just felt a little awkward. She was gonna start regretting this wasn't she? Well, there was only one way to really push that past and that was an increasing amount of bravado as she watched Jevi start working.
Synthia smiled a bit as she nodded, and brought out a deep and rich pink peach blossom, and put it at the start of the flower arrangement, sighing wistfully.
"Oh, yeah I did find one, it was the first thing that really came to mind for a centerpiece..."
She quickly flushed red again, as she shook her hands and tried to focus on the flowers around her to see which ones would match the large pink blossom at her side of the table.
"N-Not because it's cute or anything stupid like that! Totally not because of that! I'm just doing it for sentimental value... yeah, cause, my family owns a peach orchard, and... well, y'know..."
She quickly got to work though, picking out various reds, purples and lighter yellows, before turning her head, and groaning in exasperation as she quickly realized she'd probably forgotten something important. No she definitely forgot something important.
"Ah- uh, right, forgot a Vase..."
She quickly walked over and grabbed one of the empty vases, trying her best to figure out what color would fit best with the arrangement of flowers she'd gotten, before quickly coming back to the table and setting the vase down as she focused more on the arranging part than any real conversations... At this point, she was going off of pure instincts, looking between flowers and seeing which ones matched, which ones didn't and which ones would go well together with the colors already selected. Was it a haphazard and somewhat chaotic way to go about it? Probably. Was it unbecoming of some dainty little girl like herself? Most definitely. Not like there was any other way she knew how to go about it though...
Then again, going off of instincts and color combos alone was probably not enough? Something told her it wasn't enough here, some nagging feeling in the back of her mind that she was trying to push down.
One way to distract herself though was pestering other people, and she'd gotten a good opportunity with that other blonde haired Magic Knight girl who was currently focused on her own arrangement, trying to socialize with the others. Synthia noted how she seemed... distant? was that the right word for how she was acting with the other boys? Synthia of course didn't mind it, to each person their own, but it was interesting to see how different people handled social interactions like this. Synthia, was intrigued about the girl talking about Song and Dance though, as she raised an eyebrow, and stopped the flower arrangements as she leaned her head into one of her hands, observing what the girl and Jevi had to say to each other.
She nodded her head at Jevi's words, and held her head in reminiscence.
"Heh, Jevi's right, a good performance sticks in your head like a blazing wildfire that can't be put out. I know I don't wanna ever let that performance I was treated to fade away, I'm gonna chase it till the end of time!"
She paused, as she knew what Jevi was going to say in response to that, as she huffed, and turned towards Jevi.
"And before you say anything Snowy, a dance of Fists and Fire also counts as a Performance! Martial Arts are just as much an art form as singing and dancing."

Sumire watched the gathering of individuals around herself. She watched Kinsley closely as it dawned on her which family he was from as she knew of them well even though it seemed he didn't know of her which was just fine in her book. [break][break] She smiled watch Synthia and Jevi speak with each other heading over to the other flowers to pick more out as she turned her attention to aura as she nodded " I love singing, It is a passion of mine and something I do often, even hum when I am tending to the clothing I am making." She said. "While my magic is no longer song magic I have, I still very much sing just as I always have, that will never change." She said thinking about if she written any songs. " Personally I have not as while I sing, I just am not one for a audience or being known for such a thing, Though I have a family member that is more of a performer then I and I know a magic knight that has a sound oddity to his carbon matter that is more of a musician." She replied happily before seeing the girl kind of shut herself up before she rambled as she shaked her head. "By all means, you can ask anything you wish to know about myself and the magics I have. I don't mind getting to know more of you ms. Aura." She said gently seeing Jevi and Synthia return with their flowers. She could tell Aura was uneasy but she wanted to help her relax. The girl seemed sweet and kind, someone sumire would interact with. [break][break] She moved to her station having Jevi on one side of her and aura on the other with the others around her as she turned to Jevi looking at him as she nodded " yes, your arrangement should compliment the centerpiece of your piece. Take mine, Both of the flowers I choose represents myself and another that is very dear to me. We both are lesser nobles and we both tend to the textiles in our own rights." She said allowing a bit of her life out. "First step is cutting the stem of your center piece to a desired length then cutting others to be of various lengths and heights , always diagonally is best." She said with a smile playing on her face as she looked towards Synthia and Kinsley "How are you both coming along?" she asked softly [break][break]

Kingsley Farebrother
He who fears not the blade he wields has no right to wield that blade.
Patiently listening to others at the table, Kingsley felt the corners of his mouth raise into a gentle smile. While others might've jumped at the opportunity to run their mouths, the young Knight was happy to listen, infrequently adding to the conversation and nodding towards his peers when they told him something. The timid blonde girl looked to Sumire, hope sparkling in her eyes as she asked rapid fire questions about her magic and musical interests. Then, as if realizing how interrogative she sounded, or perhaps realizing where she was, the girl called 'Aura' cut herself off mid sentence. Kingsley recognized the telltale blush of embarrassment on her face and felt a pang of empathy; it was easy to become engrossed in one's interests and become embroiled with passion.
Eventually Jevi looked his way with a question, "Yeah, I've picked up a thing or two from the family business. The Farebrothers have always been tailors, until me I guess. But then again, I don't think any of my ancestors had as much magic as I do in my pinkie finger in their entire bodies." Kingsley felt a laugh start to form in his chest, causing his shoulders to rise and his eyes to close as a hearty chuckle escaped his mouth. It felt good to be around other Magic Knights in a non combat setting - like being able to loosen one's belt when home alone. The snowy haired man turned his attention to Aura, and spoke softly, as if attempting to assuage her discomfort by engaging with her topic of interest.
The blue haired witch responded to Jevi, then leaned on the the palm of her hand, remembering some distant entertainment before opening her eyes again and furrowing her brow at the man, making a defensive statement about martial arts. Kingsley wondered what sort of things happened at the family farm she was just talking about to prompt such an interest in hand to hand combat. Synthia, as she had introduced herself, spoke in a manner reminiscent of the nobility, but in a much more relaxed manner than the average Clover Kingdom noble. Perhaps she was 'one of the good ones' as the people back home would say?
Sumire shared a great deal of personal details with the table before changing the topic back to the festival event, speaking softly as she prepared the flowers for a rather drastic 'haircut'. When she turned to Kingsley and asked about his progress, the young Knight cleared his throat, which had begun to coagulate with saliva in his silence, before answering. "Well, I'm basing mine off of my favorite kimono, a fashion style imported from the Far East; not that I have to explain that to you, of course." Kingsley realized how condescending the first half of his sentence might sound to someone so obviously gifted in the textile arts, quickly recovering and hoping she would sense his sincerity. "This white rose I've chosen for the center has just a twinge of pink... Perhaps I see a bit of myself in it?" His eyes naturally drifted down to his pink four-leaf grimoire, still firmly clasped at his hip. It was both a blessing, and a burden at times, the high expectations of others sometimes painting his otherwise calm demeanor. The garden shears on the table shimmered as a cloud passed over the sun, bringing his attention back to the hungry mouth of his vacuous blue vase. In an instant he remembered where he was, and what he was here to do; he took the shears in his left hand and began trimming the stems of the flowers. It almost felt like home, using these heavy duty scissors to create art. Almost.
"I'm eager to see how they all turn out. Even an amateur can create a masterpiece, right?"
Kingsley is not immune to the ennui of life, much as he would prefer to be as carefree as a breeze. He buries himself in the work before him, hopeful that this break will keep his mind off things.
