Jin Zhongli
Jin had come across many different kinds of magic knights in his ventures. Some he worked with others, he did not. He personally never had a deep rooted issue with any of them, some just happened to be targets or in the wrong place at the wrong time. But that went for many individuals magic knight or not. It was this fact that helped Jin come to a conclusion a long time ago, magic knights are just regular people who have flaws like anyone else. In this day and age many people around the world looked up to magic knights and out them on the pedestal. Whether they were deserving of such praise really depended on the individual, but it was rare when a entire lump sum of magic knights deserved such praise.
From Jin's perspective it wasn't so much a praise or judgement of character that he was looking at, but more so each one went about accomplishing a mission achieving their objective so to speak. A magic knights primary concern should be the protection of innocent lives and the people that live within the realm. But sometimes there was a particular few that would place things above that priority. In the end he guessed it all came down to perspective.
Jin wasn't going to insert himself in the meddling of magic knights at this moment, he wanted to remain on the goal at hand. They continued to bicker and misunderstand each other, obviously not seeing eye to eye. Even Hinota had turned to shouting in her own frustration, it was quite surprising. But considering her pacifist nature she took his words to heart, Jin was reminded that even though she had ties to the Zhongli unknowingly. She was not raised as one.
Zaven's comments had struck a nerve with the rest of the crew, but not to Jin. Reason why was because the white haired rogue didn't take his words to literally like the others had, to him it seemed to come more out of frustration than how he truly felt. He would admit hearing frustrated words like coming from the Captain of the Golden Dawn was a bit surprising. But even Zaven Blake was just a man with his own faults like everyone else in the world.
But there was more important things at hand the groups feelings about Zaven's frustrations, that is what Jin would remain focused on. This Elysi Delothosin answered Jin's questions and the others, he was proving himseld not to be a threat. Jin was absorbing everything he was saying about himself and the Daemon's. But he himself was asked a question by Amaya, about his reasoning for being here. It seemed he also wasn't completely off the questioning board himself. "Honestly speaking the Witches Forest is a very sacred place, i've seen what has happened to others regions that the Daemons have entered, I would like avoid that here. Also these Daemons have peaked my interest."
"No no I am fine thanks for the offer though, but with everything going on at the moment you missed a question that I asked. What is your goal in being here?"

The more this stranger spoke, the more Jin observed and learned. There was some family ties with Sol Shinryu, while this probably was of big importance to the magic knight there were matters that needed to be discussed. This stranger was a member of the church, he had flashed his sigil and put it back rather quickly even with Jin's trained eyes he couldn't tell which of the four Deities he served. Jin didn't like this though, he made a mental note of it. "Always endless possibilities."
The path they took seemed all over the place, there seemed to be a series of intentional turns but it was all so random. What made it worse was the forest seemed to change as well as they continued.
Jin waited to ask more questions till he was inside, but he didn't just walk in without pacing himself first. He was unsure what kind of spell was used, to make a cabin of this size would requite time from even the most advanced construct user, so he didn't think it was that. It was another tricky spell or item he had used that caught Jin's interest. After just a few moments Jin walked in the cabin still on guard of course, but he was relaxed as always. The stranger said they could speak freely within, Jin did not fully trust that. So his first few questions would be about him specifically. He already said he wouldn't answer to many questions about his family, which Jin understood as he followed the same rules. But this did not mean he could not be questioned about himself.
Since no one yet had questioned him, Jin would be the first. "I don't think we got your name yet. May I ask what it is?" Jin asked him he would await to receive an answer and then continue. "How long have you been in the forest, and what is your goal here? I would like to assume you are here to deal with the Daemons since that is one of many responsibilities that fall upon the church. But making assumptions can be dangerous." Jin would leave it at that for now, of course he had much more questions but he didn't want to be the only one asking them. The floor was open.

Jin heating Sol's words nodded. "It must definitely could be a trick. But I'm sure we can handle it, if turns out to be true." Jin replied to him. The white haired rogue was about to use another spell, that would have placed a void rift behind the enemies that were charging an attack in order to interrupt there charge. But their new companion went in moving at a fast speed, and pulled out some sort of bottle and simply sprayed a sort of chemical on them completely getting rid of them. Jin raised an eyebrow his eyes focused on the bottle that he used. "Weedkiller...Interesting."
He next suggested that they move from this area, which Jin agreed with. But he was thinking about the previous invitation sent by the witch. Not that he felt bad about it, but he was sure them not coming directly to her would come back to them. But this stranger was worth following, especially after what he just used to rid of the mana beasts. Jin had ended all his spells, with a flick of his right arm. His left hand still holding onto his sword, which he had yet to use.
Apparently this cabin he had was safe to speak, hopefully that would be true. There they could discuss plans and such without being watched or listened too. Or it could just be a trap. For now Jin followed he had no issue with following him, hopefully it would lead to more information and better ways to deal with all that encompassed the forest. Also this person by Sol's words was related to him another interesting fact.
Jin made sure to walk directly behind this newcomer on his left side. "So you aren't leading us to a trap?" Jin asked the white haired stranger with a calm, relaxed and very small jovial tone. Jin could already assume his answer was going to be a no, or even a maybe. Perhaps the stranger liked to be ambiguous. Whatever the answer might be, it would give Jin some hints into his character. He seemed very polite so far, so maybe he would give a straight answer. But that didn't mean much to the rogue, he was very polite at times and his answers were never straight and true. What he was doing now, is something all Zhongli are trained to do gather information in order to make the correct decision forward.

Description: Unlocking his secondary element deep within the pages of his grimoire. Jin has finally tapped into the element of permeation. The first spell utilizing the element is the Hollow Technique: Waru. Using his index and middle finger and making a small line in front of him going across is enough to activate the spell. To those that lack the sensory needed they see nothing, but those that do have it will notice a thin and skinny translucent blade about six feet long hovering in the air. One would need 30 sensory to see the spell itself. Because of it's inherit invisibility the blade is hard to keep track of with sight alone, without the proper sensory. The 'blade' is used to cleave or slash the intended target causing senior rank cutting damage. That can be fired off like a projectile spell. The secondary inherit function of the element is the permeation or 'phasing' effect, the ability to simple phase through physical structures like walls, floors, doors and even humans and other targets, it can even go through other spells as long as the user meets the proper requirements. The caster needs to have +10 control than their opponents spell of the same rank, the spell can completely bypass through the enemy’s spell. This can only occur once per page, this increases to twice per page at grand and three times per page at archmage. Of course the spell needs to be tangible in order to do damage. Because the spell is laced with sensory it is able to home in on it's intended target. Jin can create more blade in accordance to his control, following the ammo rules.

That should do it...
Were Jin's thoughts, it was clear his last few spells and moves could be seen as an overextension. He used a quite a few powerful spells one after another causing some considerable damage and effects on the field and the enemies. But he had a reason for this, usually Jin is not one to overexert himself especially when others are watching him. He has always practiced a discreet and less is more kind of mindset depending on the battle. His own thoughts were interrupted when Hinota's comments had reached his ear, in his own planning he did fail to consider that Hinota and others may not have the sensory to see through his illusion.
With a swipe of his arm he ended his illusion spell, as it had served it's purpose. "Apologies I was too focused on wanting to gauge the enemies abilities and forgot to consider the team. It won't happen again." Jin said to the others and he meant it as well. This entire area made it difficult to use certain abilities and illusions were one of them. It can never be to easy.
Hinota then seemed considered about how much mana Jin was using, which he had to admit was quite a bit. But he didn't use all this mana carelessly, truth be told he was fine. One of Jin's weaknesses was the fact that he didn't have a high amount of mana reserves. His was pretty normal for a mage of his caliber. But what he did have was a pretty fast mana recovery. He also researched a technique that could triple his mana recovery instantly. If he did this it would bring him back to a nearly full amount of mana. He also had the option of eating one of Hinota's super foods but decided to use either of these options. Because he knew he was being watched, he never forgot that. His overuse of spells and his mana spending was done for a reason. To give the Daemons a false sense of security, to make it seem as if he was showing his entire hand when in reality he was nowhere near close. Jin had a plethora of spells, and abilities he had yet to use. A powerful relic at his disposal, and an entirely different platinum element that he hadn't even hinted at. Right now the Daemons knew he had the void element and he was capable of using some pretty strong spells, that was to be expected. But they didn't know his true cards, that he intended to remain hidden for the ideal moment.
"Your right I have used a bit to much mana. I'll scale back a bit. I appreciate the concern." He replied to Hinota, he wanted to fill her in on his thought process but if he did it would ruin the entirety of it. So that had to be his response to her at least for now. If there was an opportunity to fill her and the rest of the team in later, he would. But he couldn't risk that now.
Now that wolves were taken care of, Sol and Amaya were free of being trapped by the vines his next focus was the Forest Guardians. Getting rid of them would allow the entire team to focus on the Twisted Spirits of the Forests which were probably the tankiest of them all. Before Jin would make his next move, a voice would enter his ear as if it was right behind him. Asking them if they needed any assistance, Jin took just a moment before responding. "Yes we would like some aid, if you don't mind actually." Jin said back. He was confident they could deal with the enemies but any additional assistance would definitely be helpful. Now was the matter of was this voice trustworthy. But Jin didn't think this was a trap or a trick, the Daemons presence was not welcome in this forest.
They were disrupting the mana and the environment, probably corrupting it as well. The beings that called this place home, couldn't be happy with the Daemons invading their home. Meaning there had to be beings willing to fight back, it was a risk but perhaps this voice was one of them. At least he hoped.

Anyone standing in the area will receive intermediate damage for every post they remain within it, the type of damage is a sharp burning feeling similar to chemical burns. But this spells functions do not end there Astaroth is a two part spell. The rifts does take the time to form at a position based on the distance of the caster and the speed of a spell of the same rank. The Valefar golem is a predator type that Jin has constructed to assist him in direct battle. Their design is similar to that of a dark mage of sorts hence their full name. The Valefar have grey skin and white long hair, their armor is a dark blue almost black. Their height only comes in at about 6 feet tall in order to make use of them indoors. The purpose of the Valefar is assistance in direct battle, and for that they were designed to be fast and strong. Each of their own physical attacks are actually very powerful, being made from the void each of their attacks can theoretically erase things from existence. The golems are capable of dealing grand rank damage per post. Because of the uniqueness of the void element the Valefar actually can be called from within a void rift, Jin creates this rift by connecting all five fingers and then turning his right hand over his left hand. Because of their size they aren't really great for transportion purposes at must being able to carry two people and they are able to fly through the air. Regarding the ammo rules only two can be made at a time. This spell can cause blindness following the blinding rules, because of they are tied to the element of void which is dark in theme and color.

Interesting...
Jin thought as he saw his transformation spell take effect weakening the beasts, it was the first time he had used this ability in order to disrupt the connected between a elemental mana beast and its zone. It was noteworthy information. But of course it could never be that east, this disruption lead them to be pretty angry. "Thank you~" Jin replied to Hinota complimenting his spell. Transformation and transmutation magic was a specialization that often got ignored for more practical ones, but Jin definitely saw the benefits of such a specialty because of its versatility.
"And thanks again for the cover." Jin said to Hinota for using her defenses on him. Not only did it protect him from his own spell, which would do little damage but was easily recoverable it would protect him from any incoming attacks as well, giving him a peace of mind. Now the full cast was in mid battle, Sol and Amaya took to the skies thanks to his golems, while raining down some offense. Zaven of course took the main offensive roll unleashing powerful spells after one another and Hino did what she specialized in and that was supporting and defending the team. Jin for just a moment thought what was his role going to be, he could definitely fill in the offensive position but not as good as Zaven right now. What he was always good at though was being crafty, he could be the crafty specialist a role he just made up in that moment.
He wondered how good these beasts were at sensing things Vela Bathym, Jin pressed the index and middle finger on his right hand to his left palm activating an illusion spell one that would create the illusion exact clones of himself and his allies throughout the battlefield to attempt tricking his enemies sight, mana sensory, sound and smell. Now creating a battlefield with multiple exact images of himself, Zaven, Hinota, Amaya and Sol all throughout. If this worked this would cause the enemies attacks to then target the illusionary clones instead. While also boosting his own speed and reaction time significantly. Seeing Zaven and Sol summon their golems Jin did get the idea of using some of his own.
But the void mage didn't stop there, right now they needed more offense and Sol and Amaya were in a tough situation. Valefar. Jin pressed his five fingers on each hand together and turned his right hand over his left one, activating another spell. Summoning a golem of his own Valefar the Sorcerer’s of the Void. He summoned two of them and they both hovered behind him each one beside his shoulders. Armament. Jin activated a special function with his golems allowing them access to his spells with restrictions of course.
Stretching out his right arm quickly and pressing down his middle finger with his thumb he activated yet another spell. Vreal. Sharp red void rifts would be created all around the battlefield within his range. Of course the placement for these void rifts were carefully picked. Jin with his current abilities was able to create five of these rifts because of his control. These five void rifts were placed not targeting an enemy but instead targeting the vines that were closing in on Amaya and Sol, it wasn't enough to cut all of them. But he did hope to limit its numbers.
In the next moment after this using his mental connections to his golems commanding them to use a spell out of his own grimoire, the two golems used heir right hand pointing a singular finger targeting the wolves. Jin activated the spell for them, both golems created a red sphere void rift directly in front of them and released a torrent of destructive void energy towards the wolves themselves. Malphas.

Channeling the energy from within the void, Jin is able to create the illusion exact clones of himself and his allies throughout the battlefield tricking his enemies sight. The clones are capable of moving independently as well for further trickery. But this time instead of just effecting sight, Jin can now also manipulate the sound and mana sensory of targets also effecting their sensory of smell. Making it much more difficult to track the proper target. Using the sound to mimic speech of himself, or footsteps and things alike. And mana sensory for those solely relying on it, to choose the wrong copy. Once a copy of himself or an ally is hit, it simply fades into a cosmic purple and blue mist and gets replaced by another. By coating himself in void energy, he can increase his speed, reactions, swiftness and velocity drastically but this effect will only happen for himself not his enemies or allies. Having the clones act as after images to further trick the opponent. Also given his assassin and cold blooded nature, Jin can completely mask his mana signature and presence from anyone. Making it even more difficult to figure out who the real Jin is. With ammo rules, he can not only prevent his allies from being affected by the illusion but add versions of them into the illusion. Requirements to see through this illusion is 120 Sensory +2 for every 10 control the user has. Illusion's potency will naturally wane overtime, lowering the amount of sensory needed in order to see through them by 2 points per post they are sustained.

SPOILER: Click to show
The Valefar golem is a predator type that Jin has constructed to assist him in direct battle.

Description: Vreal bringing the concept of the earlier spell 'Raim' to new heights. 'Split the convergence, creating divergence'. Activated by bringing his middle finger in and pressing down on it with his thumb. Creating a rift anywhere in his visual sight with a maximum distance of eighty meters, the rift takes the shape of a thin red line that is 9 meters tall. Vreal like Raim before it is literally cutting a space between those two points, creating a split. It cannot be used on a living being or inside them, but when used on physical matter not backed by magic Jin is literally able to split tall walls, tall doors, floors, objects and items in half. Using his control Jin is able to move the rifts around freely to also strike a target causing senior cutting damage. Jin can create a 'split' right in front of him and fire it off at an intended target. Raim can appear in an instant like manner due to the nature of this magic. If he wishes Jin is able to create a invisible marker within the same range of the spell, allowing him to use the spell at a later time. When used the marker will vanish and need to be recast. The marker takes the shape of a red star, no bigger than a human sized hand. Following ammo rules, Jin can create more rifts in accordance to his control. But this is not all Vreal does, when using this spell Jin's own speed, reaction time and velocity is increased tremendously.

Description: 'Bring the Void into reality, and nature will repel the concept' Malphas is a simple spell for it's function. Jin will hold up his index finger on his right hand in front of him. Creating a sphere shaped void rift, with a deep red color and a red ring that wraps around it. It's size is merely a circumference of 9 inches. But unlike other void rift spells instead of creating it anywhere within a given space, Malphas is created directly in front of Jin himself. The reason for this is because the rift itself unleashes a torrent of highly destructive void energy that engulfs a target in a straight line going up 80 meters in one direction, causing senior rank damage and will leave the target with minor 3rd degree burns. Saleos can appear in an instant like manner due to the nature of void magic. If he wishes Jin is able to create a invisible marker within the same range of the spell, allowing him to use the spell at a later time. When used the marker will vanish and need to be recast. The marker takes the shape of a red star, no bigger than a human sized hand. Malphas can easily destroy anything that falls within it's path that is not backed by magic. With the use of ammo rules additional rifts can be created, in accordance to his control and he can prevent allies from being harmed by the attack. It can cause immense knock back following the knock back rules.

Daemons were petty, and very...human, Jin thought to himself the more he heard them speak. Well at least these two were petty and had human like persona's. The white haired rogue did have some expectations, but he didn't let his own thoughts blind him. This is what he gathered thus far, these Daemons were low on the totem poll just based on how they were acting. All of this in fact was just he beginning stages for what was to come. They technically were still on their way to meet this Queen, and their had to be other Daemons that were eventually going to reveal themselves.
Jin had yet to directly go back and forth with the Daemons like some of the others. Instead preferring to go about the tactic that Hinota had started ignoring them and having a separate conversation. It wasn't that Jin didn't mind trading insults every now and then, but there had to be a tactic to it. Whether it was distraction or manipulation, but Jin right now was focused on observation. Not just on his surroundings, but the Daemon themselves but it did seem he wasn't their main focus which he preferred.
The rustle in the greenery was his main focus right now though, something was coming towards them and it was getting closer and closer. "One could say my family is on the large side, including siblings, cousins aunts and uncles and the like. But were all close." Jin answered her question but also keeping it rather vague for obvious reasons he couldn't let any real details. But he was sure Hinota wasn't looking for them.
He had kept his guard ready while now listening to the Daemons they were insistent on playing their games. They wanted to play a game in order to give out information, but why would do they this? Why willingly give your opponent information even if they win a game. Jin didn't trust it not at all, because he couldn't make sense of it.
But the threat that was coming had finally arrived, the Daemons stated that when these beasts were taken care of they could further discuss a deal or offer. There was nine beasts in total and they came as if they were formed from the forest itself, there was three different types of beasts. Meaning their capabilities were probably different and unique to each one. But Jin had a theory something he wanted to test for a while now. He couldn't pinpoint the exact elements each of these beasts had, but they had to be linked and worked in conjunction with the forest itself which was a manazone. What would happen if someone disrupted that connection?
Jin hearing Zaven's words and watched him react instantly to threat. Jin simply smirked. "I'll need everyone to remain off the ground please." Jin said to the team loud enough for them to hear. He then clapped his hands activating his transformation spell. Astaroth. A void rift appears that at first looks like black circle with purple stars around it forming under his feet. Then it quickly expands across a 40 meter area and takes the shape of black and purple interstellar clouds constantly shifting and moving through the area. Literally transforming the ground beneath him into a designated space in the cosmos. This would only cause intermediate rank damage to anyone in the range, but it would hopefully do more than that. The transformation spell would potentially disrupt the connection between the mana beasts and the mana zone hopefully making it easer to take them all out. There was second part of the spell that he could activate if needed but he was going to refrain from doing so.

Description: Astaroth is transmutation spell, activated by simply clapping his hands together Jin creates a void rift that at first looks like black circle with purple stars around it forming under his feet. But it quickly expands across a 40 meter area and takes the shape of black and purple interstellar clouds constantly shifting and moving area. Literally transforming the ground beneath him into a designated space in the cosmos. Anyone standing in the area will receive intermediate damage for every post they remain within it, the type of damage is a sharp burning feeling similar to chemical burns. But this spells functions do not end there Astaroth is a two part spell. While the transmutation of the ground happens below, up above the target Jin can create another void that resembles a ring that circles around a planet. When he wishes that ring releases a powerful force of void energy coming down over the entire 40 meter area causing senior ranked damage. Astaroth can appear in an instant like manner due to the nature of void magic. The rifts does take the time to form at a position based on the distance of the caster and the speed of a spell of the same rank. If he wishes Jin is able to create a invisible marker within the same range of the spell, allowing him to use the spell at a later time. When used the marker will vanish and need to be recast. The marker takes the shape of a blue star, no bigger than a human sized hand. With the use of ammo rules additional rifts can be created, but with more rifts he can create the smaller the rift are so for 1 it would be 40m, 2 would be 20m each, 3 would be 13.3m each etc

Jin removed his hand from the tree, his idea of trying to pinpoint his mana through the roots of the tree didn't provide more information. It was a worthy shot though in his mind. Hearing Hinota's comments he was a little surprised. When they were there another magic knight was with them that seemed perfectly capable of handling what was left in the dungeon itself, he thought the two wouldn't there for long. But something must have happened after he left. He wondered if his cousins knew about this, they probably didn't cause he probably wouldn't hear the end of it. But like Hinota had said, his task was done and Zhongli don't fail missions so he did nothing wrong.
But now wasn't the time for idle thoughts, the voice of the Daemon's could be heard again and as annoying as they sounded it was best to listen. They would probably drop clues themselves about their location, so they could be dealt with. Again Jin thought they must have been children at least in Daemon terms based on their personality, or they were just very immature. Which made them careless and that carelessness could be exploited.
Jin chuckled at Hinota's question, clearly a bait tactic that could possible work on Daemon's like this. "I do have sisters! Hmmm maybe two of them would wear the more colorful styles that are popular today. The others would probably prefer something more subtle." Jin answered her question giving some little thought about his sisters sense of fashion. Varia would definitely wear all the bright colors, perhaps Saeka too. But he wasn't to sure about Yua. Aelia would probably never.
But his focus on his surroundings never wavered not even once, the Daemons were getting more and more frustrated. A feral growl could be heard coming from one of them. The ground vibrations were getting more aggressive, whatever was coming was going to be here soon. Jin only hoped that the others were prepared like he was. He noticed rustling of the greenery around them. It was getting closer.
"Team look at the rustle on the greenery, whatever is approaching is getting close. Be ready." Jin informed the others with that he noticed. The Daemons asked if they wanted to play a game of hide and sneak, normally Jin wouldn't willing place himself into the enemies plan. But this situation was a complicated one, he didn't want to underestimate them. But he could tell their frustrations were getting the best of them.

-Flashback-
"You wish to do what?" Jukane asked out loud her tone had a slight hint of irritation but also curiosity in it. She was looking over papers and terms with her advisor's before looking at her son Jin. She was sitting at one end of the table, as Jin was standing on the other.
Jin was fiddling with the gift given to him by Aelia, the black beaded bracelet. "I wish to assist the Royal Knights on their mission to stop stop the Daemon threat in the Witches Forest." Jin said again to his mother, he knew it was going to be a hassle trying to convince her. But he didn't want to just leave again without saying a word. He thought this time it would be better to tell her before he left.
Jukane sighed. "You may leave us." She instructed her advisor's and without another word they all left and closed the door behind them. "Your curiosity has no limits." She stated interweaving her fingers.
"No no. Helping the knights-"
"Stop. You have always been this way. Always curious, always wanting adventure. Your like a cat. Ever since you could walk on your own. Jin you have only been home a few weeks after being gone for close to a year and you return adding a new member to this family. And you want another adventure already? This time with Daemons. Speak with me honestly, what are your true intentions?" Jukane asked him.
Jin smirked as his mother was able to read him like a book. "I want to know what makes them...different." Jin started and his mother raised an eyebrow. "These Daemons from what I've heard about them. They seem... interesting a lack for a better word. I am curious as to what makes them...them. I've heard they have no sense of compassion for the human race, but I'm not entirely sure I believe that and if they do. I want to know why. Is their magic different from our own? Is their mind different? Is it their biology? I seek that knowledge mother." "Hmmmmmm is that it? Knowledge. You want to know what makes them tick?"
"I also am curious if Aelia's magic could work on them. I owe her a gift." Jin said smirking looking at his bracelet.
Jukane looked a tiny but more interested before standing up. "You intend to bring her with you?" she asked not truly sold on the idea.
Jin shook his head no. "Nope. I do not intend to bring anyone with me. But I shouldn't be gone for long if everything goes well. Besides Hinota will be there I'll be fine, I hear her memories and her magic have nearly returned to full ability." Jin said
Jukane let out another little sigh. "Yes I've heard her recovery goes well, that is good to hear. I should have words with Luli and Junjie. I know your going to find a way to go even if I reject it. So be it. I trust you will return with this knowledge that you desire. After all knowledge is the most important weapon one can have. While the Daemon threat doesn't concern us directly it wouldn't hurt to know about a potential enemy down the line should it come down to it. You have my approval to go. I am sure this will make Aelia happy as well, adding new members to her family. She seems to rather enjoy that." Jukane said walking out the room.
"Just be safe Jin."
Jin smiled at his mother "I always am."
"When you return it will be two days in Lěnggōng."
-End Flashback-
Jin watched and heard as Hinota had explained her theory about pulsing mana through the trees. He had never heard of mana or sensory being used in such away, nor had he seen or heard anyone do it before. But the theory couldn't be way off, Jin's sensory was pretty good for his current standing. He walked over to a tree and placed his hand on it, letting his mana pulse through it and she was correct. It wasn't perfect but it was better than nothing at all.
Hearing Hinota's words Jin smiled a little bit. "I probably do owe you an apology for my disappearance. Once my task had been completed I was given direct orders to return. I wanted to see it through the end, but in all honesty it seemed endless." Jin replied as he continued to walk behind them and placed his free hand on trees.
Before Jin could continue words could be heard throughout the forest speaking to the entire group. This must have been the Daemon's perhaps the two that left the note and the lipstick on Zaven's golem. They spoke on Zaven's comments about razzing the forest to the ground. Quite peculiar Jin thought. But his overall interest in them didn't waiver. The more they said the more he would find out about them. It seemed the idea of getting rid of the forest didn't sit well with them, so that made Jin question on why? Was this forest their new home? Why did they want it protected? Is it not their intention to get rid of it as well?
Daemons throw around insults like humans do. Jin's thoughts made him smile to himself. There was two of them and they both sounded like female Daemons. But from their insults and the way they spoke, they sounded more like children. Were there children Daemon? Could Daemon's have children and if they did is the aging process similar to that of a human?
Jin didn't respond to their attempts at insults, he saw no reason to for right now. If they were going to be goaded into showing themselves Zaven's words would probably do the trick. But that wasn't all as the Daemon's gave warning to something else coming and suddenly vibrations could be felt all over. Zaven's instructions were to keep moving, Jin was tempted to stay and face whatever was coming. But he followed the instruction keeping the same formation and pace as they continued to move.
Jin himself was completely relaxed with the situation at hand, he was actually looking forward to the Daemon's showing themselves eventually so he could finally encounter one in person. Jin did place his hand on a large tree and pulsed is mana through it this time channeling it more towards the ground using the roots. He was trying to see if could find out who or what was causing the vibration around them. A theory he quickly formed in his mind, and wanted to see if it could work.

Interesting, it was all very interesting to the white haired rogue. Now even his sensory couldn't do much for him. Jin looked around him and wondered of Ki would have worked in a situation like this. He wasn't a fan of being in this position, but he couldn't fuss about it. He simply had to think and act making the proper call. There was allot of discussion going on and Jin paid attention to most of it. Hinota and Zaven each had words with Amaya about her naive nature, it was a good thing they told her about now. Before it was to late and she was probably killed because of it.
The group now discussed the formation and which way should be the right way forward. Jin walked up to Zaven's golem and looked at the lipstick. Apart of him thought that they should head down the path that golem went, to engage with the enemy thats why they were here. But with this white noise jamming their sensory that could prove to be a mistake.
Jin had his own thoughts and opinions, but right now wasn't the time to be bickering about ideas and which way is the right way. His own opinion was that there was not right or wrong path to take as they had not been given a set course. No matter which way they decided to go it was going to lead to something, whether it was the enemy or something else. Because whatever was jamming the sensory right now at least they had no way of trying to sense anything. Right now they had no way of finding the correct answer, so there was no reason to waste time trying to find what couldn't be found.
Once everyone said their piece Jin cleared his throat. "So off the beaten path it is then." he said letting the two women go first as suggested.

Jin took a breath in and let it out and took a seat on the knocked out body of the brutish rogue he just defeated. Sheathing his sword and taking the time to think a little bit. He was still surprised the others hadn't come yet, were the mana beasts really that threatening. He couldn't entirely disregard that option as the few he faced were very deadly. If one was to be caught off guard they could definitely fall victim to one, like that other rogue did. But no something was telling him there was more to it than that. Especially now they could probably sense that another one of their own had fallen, so now the last two were probably planning on facing Jin together to increase their chances of victory.
The white haired rogue was confident he could defeat both in battle, but these guys much like the mana beasts were no pushovers. He had to be truly tested yet but that last one had quite the wild fighting style even managed to land a hit on him. Which brought his mind back to the relic itself, his manaskin was nearly fully healed, still feeling that warmth around him. He felt the bracelet was growing stronger the more he utilized its strange abilities in battle. So now he had to take note. The first spell was a curse that sapped the targets strength, and slowed down movement. The second ability revealed was a redirection technique. The third was a gravity altering effect that either decreased or increased the weight of things. The fourth was a healing spell, that also slowed down the movement of an enemy. Perhaps the ability to slow down his enemies is one of the main effects of the bracelet itself but it activated in correspondence with a spell. So he could theoretically heal his own injuries while slowing down his enemy, curse them with another spell as well as slowing them down. Quite the deadly effects. The redirection and gravity shifting ability didn't seem to tied down to a spell in order to use it. Jin could only imagine the maneuvers he could pull off once the relic was at it's full power. The orange bead started to shimmer once again, as its power increased the connection between them strengthened.
"When are you going to attack?" Jin said out loud at first glance to no one, but after a few seconds they revealed themselves. One of the last rogues was hiding in a shadow nearby stalking Jin. But the white haired rogue was aware of his presence the entire time since he arrived. Jin didn't bother moving yet though, deeming the rogue no immediate threat. This was one of the last of them but it wasn't the leader in the red mask, he was surprised he came alone though. His clothes were tattered and it looked like he had been quite the few fights with the mana beasts.
"So you were able to take down Druv." the rogue said looking at the unconscious body of his comrade. Jin didn't respond though only shrugging as he rested his head on his hand. The rogue cleared his throat and continued. "My boss wants to meet with you to negotiate a deal of some sort."
Jin laughed at the idea they were in no position to negotiate at least according to him. "Negotiate? There is nothing to negotiate. I wouldn't stop you guys from leaving though I've had my fun. There are other places to explore in the Shadowlands mana zone." Jin replied not really taking what the rogue said seriously.
The rogue removed the mask on its head, and underneath revealed a woman with long black hair. "We've found your lantern that is drawing the mana beasts in and we still have you outnumbered. You were able to take out three of our number, but facing us will you won't make it out with your head attached." she said confidently. Jin could tell she believed it too, this was quite interesting.
"Hmm ok. I do so dearly care for my sentient lantern's life. I shall follow you to your boss." Jin said with a sarcastic like tone. He only cared for the lantern cause he paid for it, and losing it meant the money he invested in it would also be gone. The white haired rogue stood up and dusted himself off following her to meet their boss. Walking through the manor it was a total wreck now. Walls, ceilings and floors completely destroyed and broken apart they had been quite the number if fights with the mana beasts. Jin was smirking to himself for coming up with such a plan. It was a good thing though this manor was already old and abandoned.
Eventually they were back at the large book room he left his lantern at, and saw the man in the red mask standing right behind the lantern. "You have given us quite the trouble I'll give you that. I didn't expect such strange items to be in your possession. By I must admit my sole focus was on that bracelet of yours, but ive never come across such a item that can draw all manners of beasts to it's location. It cost me men, but it was a worthy sacrifice."
"Master I have done as you asked, I can tell your training goes well yes?" Mriggan spoke out loud to Jin.
"It is quite talkative isn't it?" the leader asked Jin. "Anyways the bracelet on your arm are you aware of it's significance? It is not just an ordinary relic. I can tell its has strange properties an unfamiliar origin, with extraordinary abilities bound to it. Humans have been able to craft relics with their magic for ages, I have a theory Daemons must be able to do the same. Their ties with magic surpasses that of an ordinary human mage, so their tools of war must be that much more powerful. I can't prove it, but what you hold must have some sort of connection to that. And it must be mine. So your lantern for the bracelet and you get to leave here alive. That is the only offer on the table for you. Or you can just die and we take the bracelet off your lifeless corpse." the leader finished his tone getting more and more viscous.
Jin looked a little surprised he figures it wasn't just an ordinary relic, but a relic with a daemonic orgin. Was such a thing possible? Jin used his free hand to rub on his chin as if he was in deep thought. "Hmmmmmmmmm. I choooooosee to leave with my lantern and my bracelet also with my life. Is that an option as well?" Jin asked jokingly.
"Your confidence makes you a fool."
"MASTER A LARGE ONE APPROACHES!" Mriggan shouted with a sinister and excited voice.
Right after it's shout another large worm like shadow beast ripped through the floor and right into the ceiling of the room! Catching everyone but Jin off guard as he was laughing out loud. "Haaaahaaa you guts let that happen twice now! Maybe your not smart as you think!" Jin shouted to them over all the noise, everyone and everything was now falling down to the lower floor. Jiin reached behind him and grabbed his long dagger and threw it with pin point accuracy at his lantern the blade slipping right into the loop and lodging into the wall stopping its fall. The orange bead in the bracelet shimmered once again causing the gravity in the area to become very light, all the debris around them and Jin himself started to float in mid air he unsheathed his sword leaving the sheathe to float in the air as well. The blade of his sword shimmering its purple hue as the moon light hit it. Jin landed softly on top of a tall bookshelf ready for another battle with a smile on his face.
The leader unsheathed two long thin blades from his back, and jumped off a wall launching himself towards Jin. But his path was interrupted but the shadow worm going up once again. The leader cursed out loud and slashed at the large worm like creature. The female rogue landed on the ground and sent out a shadow like blast towards Jin. But the white haired rogue activated a spell of his own making a small line in front of him with his index and middle finger making himself invisible and phasing right through the blast and bookshelf. "Your permeation won't protect you forever! We will find you eventually!" she shouted in frustration. If it was just an ordinary illusion spell they did have the proper sensory to locate him, bit Jin was a master of stealth his cold blooded ability prevented him from being found by any means. A few seconds later he was behind her while the worm had set its sights on her as well. Jin kicked her towards the worm as it was rushing in her direction, she summoned a shadow made shield which prevented the worms teeth from sinking into her. The worm continued to thrash around with her stuck in it's mouth being protected by her shield.
Jin then rushed towards the leader, but the red mask rogue was able to block his sword swing surprisingly. Jin wasn't to surprised though. "Oh you are able to see me, I wonder how long it will last though." he said with a cocky tone as they continued to trade attacks with their blades clashing. The leader created some distance and summoned a large spiraling spear made of blood, and hurled it at Jin just for the rogue to phase right through it. He then tried to land some sword strikes on him, but Jin's phasing ability was still in effect as they slipped right through him. Jin holding his sword in a reverse grip slashed upward landing a cut on his shoulder. The leader than shouted at his parter "Elvia!" as he backed up created some distance between them.
The female rogue than activated a another spell unleashing a straight shadow beam at the worm mana beast pushing it back against the wall. it wasn't defeated but it was stunned for now. She aimed another attack this time at Jin, his bracelet shimmering once again. Once the attack was coming towards him Jin held out his left hand and redirected the attack at the rogue in the red mask, he braced himself to take the brunt of the attack as it launched him backwards going through multiple walls of the manor. Leaving Elvia shocked. "Redirection?" she asked out loud in disbelief.
Jin smirked once more "I'm sure you guys can do better than this no?" he mocked them. Making the female rogue his target once again still holding his sword in reverse like grip, he swung it again releasing a regular void like shockwave towards her. She made motion towards her necklace and a black orb was formed that drew in the shockwave and absorbed it completely. "Hey there we go, I knew you guys had some tricks up your sleeves." Jin said seeing his spell get drawn in.
"So your sword has the void element, ha to bad you can't utilize it's full capabilities." she said in a effort to mock him.
Jin hearing her words started to laugh to himself out loud. "Hahaha. You guys don't seem to get it. Let me show you just how outclassed you are then." Jin then immediately straightened out his left arm and pressed his middle finger down with his thumb creating a large purple void right directly in front of him that was bursting with destructive energy leaving Elvia speechless. "There's no way, thats impossible!! Your element is permeation! We know it is! There's no way you can have two!" she shouted in reaction to what she was witnessing. Jin let the destructive void rift rip through the air, but it didn't hit Elvia at all in fact it actually hit the large worm mana beast that was thrashing toward her. Once the rift hit it's target the worm entire physical body looked as if it was ripped from existence entirely and just like that it was gone completely. Elvia was in utter shock and fell to her knees, the will to fight was completely gone Jin could tell from the look in her eyes.
The leader in the red mask started to make his way back over to the battle, he had witnessed what had happened but still aimed to keep going.
Jin looked at him and turned his head to the side. "Oh you still got some fight in you? Admirable. Or is this some sort of misplayed pride?" the white haired rogue said to him. "You can still leave and escape with your lives, two of your allies are alive. One of them met their end by the beats not by my hand." Jin said.
"Shut it! Shut up! To have such power and be so unknown! I don't know who the hell you are, but this isn't over!! You haven't won anything! I will have that bracelet! I will obtain the same kind of strength and power! I won't let this be the end of me!" he started to shout in anger, a necklace of his own started to generate lighting and wind around it.
Elvia looked up at him. "Give it up Voldo you cannot win! Stop before he decides to end your life!" she shouted at him
Jin just continued to look at Voldo a smirk growing on his face despite the situation Jin was still having a good time. "Come then. You need more convincing." he shouted gesturing for Voldo to come at him with his hand. The leader rogue was covered in lighting and wind and dashed towards Jin with an impressive burst of speed, the white haired rogue looked unfazed though as he whispered the name of a new spell. "Zur oth Zaeaer." summoning two orbs around the orange bead on the bracelet shimmered again. One orb resembled the moon and the other resembled the sun and they orbited around him akin to solar system, by activating another spell the speed decrease ability kicked in slowing down Voldo back to a normal speed leaving him surprised. Jin used this opening to land another slash across his other shoulder with his sword.
At this point Voldo had taken significant damage Jin himself was surprised he was still standing, but this fight was over with. Jin wasn't going to kill them he had things to do and it could get messy. Voldo fell to one knee but he hadn't given up just yet. Jin walked over to grab his lantern from the wall and sheathed his dagger back. "Well you guys made my second trip back to the Shadowlands an interesting one for sure, but its time I take my leave. Things to do people to see." Jin said turning his back towards Voldo walking in Elvia's direction. He sheathed his sword and held both his lantern and sword in his right hand. He stopped walking when he heard lightning crackle from Voldo's necklace and strong gust of wind came out of nowhere.
Jin looked towards him still unamused, he guessed this was going to be final big attack one last attempt. Voldo pointed both arms towards the white haired rogue and from the looks of it was summoning a storm in front of him to send flying at Jin. But Elvia was also in the direct path to get hit by this attack, Jin did just have the thought to simply phase though it. But if he did Elvia would most likely take the brunt of the attack and not make it. "Voldo what are you doing!? Your going to kill us!" she shouted at him. But the man was completely lost in anger and desperation, was this mere greed or was it deeper than that. Jin had assumed that Voldo's actions were a reflection of a inferiority complex he felt was own power and abilities were lacking in comparison to others. Which they were, but like this he wasn't going to get anywhere.
Jin's bracelet shimmered once more, was it time to use another ability. Why not. Voldo had generated a large storm like spell in front of him. A large ball of lightning covered in waves of water and gusts of wind, he was going to launch it straight at Jin and hit Elvia in it's path. Jin held his left hand forward his bracelet shimmering as the large ball of lightning came forward, Elvia braced herself and accepted her fate. But Jin had other plans and did not allow it, he activated another ability within the bracelet instead of redirecting the attack he simply halted it, and nulled it causing it to disperse completely as if it as never there in the first place. Elvia looked shocked to see this, as did Voldo. Jin looked at his bracelet again. "A demonic relic huh? I owe Aelia big time." Jin said mostly to himself. The white haired rogue began to walk away onto his next destination.
Elvia called out to him. "Wait! Who are you?!" she shouted at him. But she got no answer as he continued to walk away vanishing from sight.

Jin Zhongli
Jin's ended his invisibility spell for now even though the mana beast was able to see him, it was making things a bit to easy. Also he wanted to restore some mana reserves for later on, he had ways of increasing his overall mana regeneration but he rather save them till he needed them. He went back looking at the bracelet it had number of unusual abilities at first he was just fond of it's access to hex and curse spells. But it seemed to grant much more than that. When he activated that first curse spell, the speed of the mana beast slowed it was just a little but it was definitely slower. Jin wondered if that particular ability was tied into using a spell from the bracelet itself since he didn't notice a slow in speed when not using a spell.
Then there was this redirection technique that he as able to activate on its own, the spell itself wasn't particularly strong. But a redirection ability was plenty of uses and definitely something he could make use of in his arsenal. This relic was particularly powerful and he assumed the stronger it got the bigger the effects would be. The ability to slow his enemies would turn a minor reduction to a major one, the ability to redirect spells would probably work on much stronger spells. Now that he really thought about it, these effects were very similar to effecting gravity. Which would pair into it's cosmic element spells, this was not a normal relic by any means. This simple gift was proving to be vastly more powerful and capable than he could have imagined. Since no rogue or beast was near him, Jin wanted to use this little time to get more in tune with the relic. He held out his hand and focused on the relic suddenly the debris around started to float in the air as if their weight and the gravity in the area had shifted. He moved his hand around the debris followed this definitely another effect from his relic. Then suddenly the debris landed on the ground but with much more force, as if their weight had drastically increased. The rogue looked at his relic again with a slightly confused face, and them smirked.
Jin looked shocked there was no doubt about it, the relic had gravity like effects even if it wasn't gravity itself. Right now the effects were small but he could imagined what this relic could do at it's full strength. It would give Jin a whole other arsenal of abilities to render his opponent's spells useless, while at the same time doing much more. This paired with his permeation element would make landing a solid hit on him extremely difficult for even the most powerful mages. Jin's mind began to go wild thinking of the possibilities this was definitely part of the strength he needed sought after to accomplish his goals.
Back to the task at hand, Jin used his natural sensory to locate the other rogues and one was real close. Really close in fact Jin walked towards his location which wasn't far from where he currently was, this rogue used an transformation spell giving him a much taller and broader physique. A bunch of dead mana beasts were left at his feet a large broadsword over his shoulder. Looking at the kind of beasts he had defeated he was not to be taken lightly, he could prove to be dangerous. Jin was hiding in the many shadows around, and was waiting before he made his move. But suddenly the large rogue turned in his direction and swung his massive sword splitting the walls and bookshelves around them. Jin was quick enough to dodge the attack with a surprised look on his face, this juggernaut of a man was able to sense him. Jin dashed in aiming to land a slash on his abdomen, but the rogue blocked Jin's sword with his own letting out a chuckle. "No no no! Your gonna have to try better than that." he said forcing Jin back with his pure strength while swinging his sword.
Jin was sliding back impressed with the strength of this brute, his left was free activating another spell. His index and middle finger pointed in front of him he made a small gesture going across his body and three translucent blades were created hovering by him each one about six feet long. Jin was wondering if the brute could see the spell if he did it would give him more information on how good his sensory was. In the next moment he sent the blades forward at his target, the brute swung his massive sword in a effort to counter the spell. But the main function of the spell activated and the blades seamlessly phased through the sword and landed leaving deep cuts on the brutes body it did notable damage Jin could tell from the bleeding, but the brute looked unfazed. He sucked his teeth in frustration and ripped off his damage shirt, revealing a hulking frame covered in scars. "So it was permeation magic, such a nasty magic to deal with." he said out loud to Jin. The brute formed a fist with one hand and pounded on his chest just once, and a green bear like aura enveloped him healing his injuries quickly. "It's rare two extremely rare elements like ours collide. Lets make the most of it!!!" he shouted as a red aura shrouded over his sword and he swung it wildly unleashing a sharp shockwave of power towards Jin that destroyed the entire hallway they were fighting in.
Jin barely avoided the attack his long black cloak had been damaged a little at the ends. But the brute's offense didn't stop there at all. Jin was still in the air while the brute rogue came rushing at him aiming to pierce him with his large sword, Jin was quick enough to block with his own sword at the last minute. But the force of his attack sent Jin back at a fast speed, but the white haired rogue was able to find his footing while landing on the ground. This guy was monster not only because of his strength but he cause of his fighting style, it did match his element though which Jin guessed was beast aura. He was right though rare elements like theirs didn't clash often because of how rare they were. This was going to be interesting.
He was now in a large room Jin guessed it was a dinning area for a very large rich family, the brute came landing down sending out a powerful gust of wind. But Jin came rushing towards him sword drawn, the purple hue on the blade glimmered as if it was excited. "OH! Your rushing in towards me, with no illusion tricks?! I know your not dumb cause you lured us all into your trap. So you must be confident!! Lets see how confident you are then!" the brute shouted at him. Their blades clashed with each other, Jin did step back and came in blades clashed again. The brute knew he had the advantage in pure strength so tried to overwhelm Jin with large wide fast swings, but Jin was much to well trained to let any of them hit. While he was new to adding a sword to his combat arsenal, he was very well versed in swordsmanship thanks to his brother Xue's relentless training.
Jin and the brute traded a few clashes for a few moments with neither one truly getting the upper hand on the other. They were about to clash again before their fight was interrupted but the arrival of a large hulking mana beast and it's deafening loud roar. It came running towards them the brute's back was facing it. Jin took advantage of the opportunity and activated another spell quickly, using the index and middle finger of his left hand and going up. He summoned an translucent sword to his left hand he quickly stabbed the brutes foot with the sword leaving him in place even if for a moment. "Tch damn your tricky! But don't underestimate me!!" he brute shouted as Jin created some distance. As the mana beast was rushing towards him, the brutish rogue's body was covered in a purple wolf aura just as the mana beast landed on him. He then released an area attack destroying the room they were in adding even more destruction. Although Jin did create some space even he did got caught up in the attack, but his mana skin protected him from receiving any real damage.
Then he noticed his bracelet shimmering once again, and the words of another spell had entered his mind as if he already knew it. "Xaenr Minaxing." he said the spells name out loud activating it. In the next moment a pair of semi-transparent orange-red feathered wings appeared on Jin's back and he instantly started to feel a warmth and gentle energy wash over him healing his manaskin of a portion of the damage he just took. Jin smiled while looking at his bracelet, so it had access to healing and curse spells two specializations Jin's element didn't allow access too. It was almost as if the bracelet was made for him specifically. But right now was not the time for admiring his new relic, he doubted the brute was finished and his guess was right the brutish rogue came walking out of all the rubble and debris bleeding and damaged.
"Your quite the monster." Jin said to him in a nonchalant tone, his sword Melinoë stabbed into the ground lightly as his wrist wrested on its pommel. It was a compliment if Jin were being honest, he was a little surprised that the others hadn't shown up yet. With all the noise and destruction this brute was causing he thought his partners would have made it over to him by now. The manor was very large, perhaps the mana beasts around were proving to be to much for them.
"Haaa I could say the same for you. You lured us here into your trap of mana beasts and your much to relaxed. You've been taking it easy on me. Your using us for training aren't you?" The brute asked Jin gripping the long handle of his large sword. Jin looked a little surprised he was able to guess so correctly. "But not just us, the mana beasts as well. We figured you were capable, but we were pretty confident we could take you down given our own abilities."
"Why target me anyways?" Jin asked him genuinely curious.
"The bracelet on your wrist we caught a glimpse of it, and instantly knew it was very unique. Well our boss did, he's something of a hoarder a collector maybe more precise. You've probably already started to use some of it's abilities, your mana skin is being healed thats most likely the bracelet itself."
Jin had a small smile on his face. "Your smarter then you look. I thought you were the all brawn no brains type." he said picking up his sword and twirling it getting ready to finish the fight. The brute did the same picking up his massive sword and got piercing like position with a smile on his face. Jin's left eye glowed silver for a second, and he immediately stomped his foot on the ground rendering himself invisible to sight, sensory and sound. The floor around them turned into a silver like mist that not only damaged the brute but also severely cut his speed down. Jin dashed towards him closing the distance in moments, his bracelet still healing his manaskin also had its own effect active slowing down the brute even more making him even more incapable of moving. With one well placed slash to his chest, the brute fell to his knees defeated. He wasn't dead though just unconscious.

Jin Zhongli
A long ship was sailing towards the docks of the Shadowlands Grand Magic Zone. The ship itself wasn't very much to look at aside from its size, it looked as if it had been through a ton of battle though. Onboard the ship was a number of different characters some looked more innocent then others, and the others probably didn't have the best intentions. It wasn't often people came to visit the Shadowlands it definitely wasn't a site seeing kind of place. One usually had a set reason for coming here, Jin Zhongli definitely had one. The black cloaked rogue had his black blindfold over his eyes and the collar of his cloak came up to his nose. The cloak itself was rather long and came down to his ankles, only allowing one to see his black boots underneath. Underneath it of course was his tools and necessary weapons, his new sword Melinoë held in his left hand sheathed and unbothered. Jin was getting used to it's eerie aura that it always let off, it wasn't pleasant but it gave the bewitched blade some character. His long dagger sheathed on this left hip, and his grimoire attached to his belt on his lower back.
Recently Jin had acquired allot more tools at his disposal. Aside from his sword, and his newly awakened element. He had not one but two relics at his disposal. These weren't Jin's first relics not in the slightest, he was familiar with them and how they functioned. But these two were different they possessed more unusual abilities tied into them. The first one being Mozzar Edon the reason he was here in the first place, it was a gift from Aelia he thought at first it was just a regular bracelet she wanted to gift him. But upon putting it on, it was much more than that. It felt different from a natural relic, it didn't give off the same sinister eerie aura as Melinoë but it definitely was not a natural one. He didn't know if tainted was the word, but it didn't feel human. But at the same time he did feel this natural connection to it, as if it was made to work in unison with one of his elements. Most likely the first one, Void.
So he was here to train it, perhaps increasing its powers would give him some answers to its origin and he can really find out more about this gift from his favorite necromancer. Jin had looked at wrist of his left arm at the bracelet itself to see if being so close to the Shadowlands would have any effect on it, and nothing happened but the white haired rogue didn't expect it to. He didn't think the element tied to the bracelet had darkness to its nature but more of an odd connection to the Void. "Hmm it seems my theory was correct, the bracelet has no ties to the Shadowland. But coming here still has its merits young master." Mriggan spoke from inside the lantern buckled to Jin's belt. "I suppose you are right." Jin replied.
Quortek Mriggan was another tool Jin brought with him, he didn't think he would after the chaos that happened last time they were here. But the lantern never lied it did increase Jin's overall power with it's strange abilities. It's knowledge on elements and tools was also helpful, so Jin decided not to destroy it. The lantern served no purpose in battle but for training it was valuable to keep around. "Master we have onlookers." Mriggan said to the white haired rogue. But Jin already knew of the shifting eyes that were on him, they were definitely rogues who probably wanted to rob him. But Jin kept his focus looking out, not drawing anymore attention to himself.
After some time the ship hit the docks and people began to get off, Jin did the same still aware of the eyes that were following him. He melded into the crowd but at the same time made sure he stood out, if he wanted Jin was perfectly capable of disappearing in plain sight. But he wanted them keep track of him and follow him. It was a group of five and from what he could tell they were decently trained, staying out of his direct line of sight keeping their distance while at the same time making sure they were close enough. Jin walked at a normal pace while slowly separating himself from the others that were around, walking towards an abandoned large manor house. Give the setting it looked like it came straight out of a horror story, it was large and grey with a long cathedral like roof. A small smirk was on Jin's lips as he walk towards the entrance of the manor house, and in the next moment vanished from sight.
The five rogues that were following him were taken aback but they didn't let that faze them. They had set their sights on him and were going to get their score no matter what. They outnumbered him and they were confident in their abilities to take him down, especially in the Shadowlands Magic Zone. Four of them awaited a signal from their leader before moving in, the leader was dressed in all black but had on a red mask used a spell creating a map of blood creating a copy of the area then pin pointing Jin's location and then gave the signal for them to move out.
Jin now walking through the halls of the mansion holding Mriggan in his right hand as green and black shadow like energy was pouring from the lantern attracting mana beasts of all kinds to the Manor itself. He then walked into a random room that looked like a large book room, he placed Mriggan on a table as its energy continued to pour out. "Oh ho young master this is quite the training session you have thought of, leading the ones following you into a trap of mana beasts. I am quite impressed as always." the lantern spoke with its sinister tone, being in the shadow zone always did bring out the true monster in the lantern.
"This is more than just a trap for them, I want to practice against human and beast opponents alike. Of course seeing what this bracelet is capable of." Jin said rolling up the sleeve of his left arm the amber bead on the bracelet giving off a light orange shimmer. "I shall be back to get you once i'm done, for now continue to lure the beasts to this location." Jin said walking away and out of the book room.
"Master you are much stronger than before, as your power grows so do the potential threats. Hopefully you haven't taken more than you can handle."
--
Jin walking throughout the manor had his sword in his left hand, his black cloak flowing along the same brushes of wind that came from the open windows of the manor. He made his way back to the entrance of the manor and stopped walking, he already knew the five rogues were there to meet him. As they were the leader standing on the ground level, and the four others scattered through the large room. One on top the stair case behind Jin, another sitting on top of a statue, two others were walking towards him all of them had their weapons drawn. "Not sure why you cornered yourself here, but that only makes our job easier. Maybe you thought we would split up, but we’re much smarter than that. Much more capable too, you shouldn't underestimate us. There's still a chance you get out of here alive by dropping everything you got, and maybe we'll think about letting you live." the leader said with a confident tone of voice. From the sound of his voice and the way he carried himself, Jin came to the conclusion that they were not push overs. They weren't your average group of low level rogues, no they were trained and their confidence was well placed. This was going to be fun.
"Oh trust I have not underestimated you at all. In fact I am expecting allot from you guys. Hopefully you all don't disappoint. We'll be having guests joining us." Jin replied with a smirk on his face. Right after he said that a loud crash came from the front door, a large shadow like worm mana beast busted in with a large shriek! "SKKKRRRRREEEEEEEEEE!!!." all of the rogues caught off guard, the leader jumped out the way avoiding the worm's assault.
"Mana beasts?? Why here?! Why now!?" the leader asked out loud, he turned his head back towards Jin whom was activating a spell with his index and middle finger out and tracing a line coming down, he turned completely invisible to sight, and mana sensory and phased right through the wall behind him vanishing completely as if he was never there. Once Jin had phased into the next room, he immediately activated another spell. "Alloces, Gaze the Void." he whispered bringing out yet another illusion spell from his grimoire, this time the entire area within 40 meters would go pitch black at least thats what his enemies would see. Their sight, hearing, mana sensory completely robbed from them as more mana beasts started to poor into the front entrance attacking them.
His plan had went off perfectly. He knew they were tracking him via a map spell, so he planned on them finding him right at the front as he made his way back. With Mriggan attracting all sorts of mana beasts to their location, he knew the mana beasts would come to location where most of the mana signatures were which is why he didn't hide his own until it was necessary. Once the mana beasts started to attack thats when hide it, and as soon as he did activating another spell to rob them of their sight, hearing and sensory would only make the challenge of facing mana beasts that more difficult. But he was sure this wasn't enough to outright beat them. He just needed them split it and distracted so he could started to go on the offensive at his own pace.
His invisibility spell still active was perfect cause now no one could see or sense him including the beasts. Jin looked at his bracelet and called out its name "Mozzar Edon." and the orange bead had the same shimmer of light, it was time to put it into practice. He saw a large bird like mana beast down the hall using the increase speed from his invisibility spell he closed the distance in mere moments with his left hand stretched out his sword in his right. "Ath Zirdh" the words came out of his mouth seamlessly as his left hand touched the back of the mana beasts leaving a sparkling comet right where his hand had touched. A smile was on Jin's face, while seemingly the spell had no effect he knew better this relic had access to hex and curse techniques. Hex and curse magic was a type of magic Jin always wanted to use but never could as the limits of his own elements wouldn't allow it. But now he had access to them. But there was another effect Jin noticed the movements of the mana beasts were slowed even if just a bit Jin could notice it. This relic had much more to offer, and he felt he barely scratching the surface of it.
With a quick draw and slash of his sword dealing grand rank damage to the beast, cutting it right down its chest the beast fell deceased. He looked at the bracelet once more wondering what else it had to offer. "This is quite the gift Aelia." he said to himself jokingly. His sensory picked up on the location of one the rogues in the room above him, he was facing two mana beasts on his own. Jin bent his knees slightly and jumped up phasing right through the ceiling onto the next floor still invisible to sight and sensory the rogue had no idea Jin was now in his presence. Jin crept around waiting for the right moment to strike. Once he was successfully in place him he placed his sword in his left hand and grasped the handle with his right, drawing it with lightning like speed and sheathing it again. Jin created a sharp purple void rift hidden from sensory right next to the rogue's arm holding his weapon, in the next moment the sharp rift cut the arm leaving him wounded. Jin walked up slowly and landed a punch knocking him out.
Right after that moment an incoming attacking was coming his way but Jin didn't move at all, the attack phased right through him. Jin looked over to see another mana beasts that had fired a shadow like needle attack towards him and could clearly see him despite his invisibility spell. Because he was able to phase through the spell meant his control was more refined, but this mana beast had high amount of sensory if it was able to see Jin. A body of one of the rogues was at it's feet and from the looks of it he was definitely dead, Jin didn't think the mana beasts would be this capable. But now that was two of the rogues counted for, only three left and however many mana beasts.
The mana beast was humanoid in shape and long blade like claws, it looked confused for moment as it's attack just went right through the white haired rogue. Jin smirked though his secondary element was proving to be extremely useful, in mere moments though the beast dashed towards Jin swiping its claws. Jin unsheathed his sword and blocked the incoming the slashes with little difficulty. It was fast and strong but nothing Jin couldn't handle. Jin started to counter with sword swings of his own, but the beasts was able to block them successfully. This was turning out more fun than expected. The manabeast let out a wide swing that Jin blocked with his sword but it did push him back a few feet, the beast used the opening to point it's claws at Jin and release another ranged attack shooting shadow like blades at him the attack didn't look to strong though. The relic around his wrist shimmered once more and the blades halted in mid air, and suddenly went flying right back at the mana beast leaving Jin surprised. "Was that a redirection technique?" he asked himself out loud looking at the bracelet. The blade hit the beasts but did little damage, it was more shocked its own attack was redirected. Taking advantage of the opportunity Jin dashed towards the beast and cut the beast in half swiftly with his sword and then sheathed it.
