Jin Zhongli
Observation was key in situations like this, based on how little he knew about his enemies every move they made he could learn more about them. Jin believed and was taught that whenever he couldn't rely on power, nothing overcomes skill and a sound mind. He knew this enemy was more powerful in out right force, and had the advantage of the area working in their favor. But he still believed they would be able to overcome them, he also believed himself to be the most dangerous person in this forest.
Despite all his talents, skills, and abilities Jin's biggest flaw a constant reminder from his mother is his own ego. He thought himself to be one of the most dangerous beings in all of Clover if not the world, and there was no challenge or enemy that couldn't kill. For the most part of his life this thought went unchallenged. Even when faced with enemies or targets that were stronger than him at the moment, in the end their heads will roll to his feet. And until this moment he believed that would be the fate of all the daemons in this forest.
While he wasn't betting on all his set ups hitting their mark, he was a little shocked to see how easily they cancelled them out. They could see and sense his markers, also had enough power to cancel them out. The daemons gave him some praise though it felt like mocking for figuring out such a hidden flaw in such a quick amount of time. He was unaffected by their mocking though, not even reacting to them wanting to make him a pet. He had to admit though he was impressed, but they got a nice amount of information about them
But it seemed like none of that would matter, as the anticipated arrival of the wraith like daemon had made it's appearance and ignored the group entirely going straight for the Daemons. It did seem like Amaya's idea of wanting to make use of it for their advantage, came to fruition. But the way it took care of the daemons made Jin rethink everything. It killed them so easily and so effortlessly, as if it wasn't a challenge to him at all. Jin prided himself in his observation skills, he did not see this coming. But there was a moment here that Elysi provided for Jin.
The rogue had seen enough here already, the daemons, the wraith, the monsters. Jin was never here to save lives, or be a hero he was here to gather intel on being he had never encountered before. He gathered the information he wanted from this place and it's invaders. The daemons were strong, and their magic didn't work the same way, the same rules didn't apply to them. Most important of all though, they could die. He wasn't here to lay his life on the line to save some people, thats what the magic knights were here for. As for the people that hired him, and as far as he was concerned his job was done.
Jin made sure he was behind Joseph and Sol, using his index and middle finger and making a small line coming down in front of him the rogue would completely disappear from sight, sensory and hearing. On top of this he activated a temporary effect in his spell that made him completely masked his mana signature and presence from any means. None should be able to sense, or see him leave.
The only thing that would be left from where he was standing was the satchel Hinota gave him with the foods that gave them boosts for battle.
He was thief so he was tempted to just take it with him, but it was best for one of them to take it. To give to the one that was coming, the one he was originally replacing. Valo Stark. He knew a magic knight of Valo's caliber wouldn't just stay at home even if injured, it was only a matter of time before he arrived and enough time had passed. Hinota would be fine and get out alive if Valo was coming, so he didn't have to hear anything from her bodyguards. Though he was sure he would still hear their mouths.
But it was perfect time for Jin to leave, and the perfect time for Valo to arrive.
The rogue would make his swift departure from the forest.

*Back at the Zhongli Estate*
Jin was in his room after what had felt like an eternity, had only been a few days. Did the forrest also mess with their sense of time?
Sitting in his chair looking out the window into the night sky, the only bits of light coming from the moon and stars. Jin Zhongli found himself thinking about the events in the forest, and something he hadn't felt in a long time was in his chest. His heart was beating ever so slightly faster than normal. How easily the daemons had them in the palm of their hand, and how easily they were killed by Elysi. It left Jin with a sense of unease, an unease that he didn't like. Was he not the most dangerous person in Clover? We're there beings out there that posed more of a threat than him? Did those daemons make him nervous? Did Elysi strike fear in his heart?
His striking blue eyes looking fierce, he wanted to throw these thoughts and feelings to the side. But he decided not to, no simply casting such thoughts away would do nothing. He couldn't just ignore them, he had to embrace them understand them. Understand the daemons, understand that stranded Delothosin. Was it their power? No it wasn't that. Jin still had plenty of room for growth, even with unlocking his second element he wasn't at his true potential yet.
If it wasn't their power then what was it? Was it their...freedom? Their freedom to take what they wanted without hesitation. Even that stranded Delothosin although trapped, he still moved on his own will despite what might happen to him. Jin longed for his own freedom no longer strapped to the rules of the Zhongli. He has his own desires, his own goals and ambitions.
A knock came to his door.
"Come in." he said standing up.
His mother opened the door and walked in.
"What did you learn from these daemons my son?"
Jin still looking out the window, turned to face her.
"I've learned allot mother, i've learned allot."

Description: 'Split the convergence, creating divergence'. An enhanced version of one of Jin's trademark spells Raim, and Vreal. Activated by bringing his middle finger in and pressing down on it with his thumb on his right hand. Creating a rift anywhere in his visual sight with a maximum distance of 150 meters, the rift takes the shape of a thin purple line that is 9 meters tall. Amon like Vreal and Raim before it is literally cutting a space between those two points, creating a split. It cannot be used directly on a living being or inside them, but when used on physical matter not backed by magic Jin is literally able to split tall walls, tall doors, floors, objects and items in half. Because of the level of magnitude that Amon has as spell it is theoretically erase space between two points, making this an extremely deadly spell. Using his control Jin is able to move the rifts around freely to also strike a target causing grand cutting damage. Jin can create a 'split' right in front of him and fire it off at an intended target. Atila Amon can appear in an instant like manner due to the nature of this magic. If he wishes Jin is able to create a invisible marker within the same range of the spell, allowing him to use the spell at a later time. When used the marker will vanish and need to be recast. The marker takes the shape of a red star, no bigger than a human sized hand. Following ammo rules, Jin can create more rifts in accordance to his control. But this is not all Atila Amon does, when using this spell Jin's own strength is greatly increased causing grand rank damage with every strike. This spell can cause blindness following the blinding rules.

Jin Zhongli
The white haired rogue continued to be carried by Delothosin's golem, his face as stoic as can be. He continued to observe the situation unfolding in front of him and he continued to be annoyed. If he were being honest he was not pleased with how things have gone, he was so used to being the predator and now it seemed obvious that they were the prey. Forced to run and flee at the sight of an enemy, instead of hunting it being rid of it. So much of the situation was outside of his control, but he couldn't let his frustration be a hinderance cause he could surely die.
He remembered his mother's words.
"I have trained all of you to be in control of many situations, to be the predator and to never hesitate to kill a target or an enemy. I have taught you well, and you all have learned well. But my children there will come times where despite everything you will not be control. There will be times where the forces you face can seem overwhelming, and there will be times where you will be the prey. Your lives will be more endanger then ever before.
And now I will teach you the strength of slowing down that rapid beating heart. How to steel your nerves and make the most of any dire situation. The powering of observation and finding counters in an enemies strategies without hesitation. Hesitation is the blocker that must be broken through, within a split second your hesitation will cause your death. Do not mistake this for acting aggressively, there is a difference."
He heard Hinota's words towards Amaya, Sol, Joseph and himself. While she was correct in some ways, Jin didn't completely agree with her. But there was not real time to discuss any other kind of strategies. Right now they could only react to what was happening at the current moment. The thoughts of it kept that grin on Jin's face, eventually this wraith was gonna make it's way to where the Daemon twins were located and then they would learn just how in control those two are when it comes to it.
The closer they flew to the destination the daemons became easier to see, and their forms had changed drastically. They looked more fitting to the daemon name now. Jin's grin didn't disappear though he was hoping to see this from they bragged about, and he liked the fact that they weren't playing fair anymore. In his mind they never should have in the first place, he never planned to play fair. The two daemons were bickering about underhanded tactics and expectations from different kinds of species, no species were perfect these two were silly to think so. In fact these two continued to be silly like children to him, he hoped they didn't disappoint. But then again the faster they could kill them the better.
One of the daemons was holding a unique looking item and raised it's arm and it was directed towards the golems that were currently holding Sol, Joseph and himself. To Jin their plan was pretty obvious they wanted to split them up, it was clear to the daemons at this point that Hinota and Amaya were mainly support type mages. While Sol and Jin were more offense oriented, they probably knew about Joseph as well but Jin wasn't familiar with his abilities as of yet. Jin looked in the direction of Amaya and Hinota and winked at them. In these quick moments he had already devised a counter to their strategy. Using his hands to touching the thumbs and making wings, creating a rift right in front of him as he started to fall.
He had a few ways to do this, and he was pretty sure his first idea wouldn't succeed that would be to easy. But if it did fail it would provide with information about the enemy. His right hand free he simply bent his index finger and pressed it down with his thumb, this would set up a powerful spell of his. But he didn't activate it just yet. His void element allowed him to create invisible markers in range and within his line of sight that can be used later. He created this marker directly on the leaf barrier, and on the left side of the slightly older looking Daemon one meter away from her arm. And another marker on the 1 meter from the item of the younger daemon was holding. He would intend to break and erase the item if the opportunity would allow it. But the difference was he activated this marker instantly, so the Daemon would have to react to the sharp void rift that would damage her item as she was watching them fall.
His two movements that would set up two spells happened in quick succession, but this did leave him no time to soften his landing. But the rogue knew he wouldn't have to, Sol Delothosin was a magic knight whom like magic knights do save people and put the safety of others above anything else. When it came to protecting others, Sol was the first react and he did this consistently. The rogue need only to glance in his direction and he saw the pale mage was already preparing them for the fall. So Jin allowed himself to simply fall into the bed of leaves that he created.
But the pale mage wasn't finished there was no hesitation in his movements and Jin was impressed, this is the delothosin he wanted to see. Sol instantly went on the attack and set up, sending attacks towards the two daemons. Jin didn't have to prepare for a fight he was ready and his spells were already in play.
The first void rift he created had activated and his grand rank golem emerged from the rift itself it was a large bird and beastial golem that used it's wings to fly in the air. It was on the other side of the leaf barrier so Jin wouldn't be able to see it, but he didn't need to in order to give it commands. The command was simple 'Attack the barrier' he ordered it via mana tether. And instantly it do so dashing towards him and slashing at the barrier with it's claws dealing grand rank damage. With his own spells already in motion, and Sol onslaught of attacks Jin decided to observe for the next moment and be ready to counter what they could throw at them. He was going to throw some trash talk towards the daemons, but this was his first time seeing one up close. He was more curious then anything. "So you two are true daemons in your real forms, can't lie it is impressive. Though i'm more interested in what the others have to offer. You two have been rather disappointing." Jin said to them in a calm tone as he clearly mocked them.
The daemons strategy was commendable, but the rogue was not impressed. Split them up and force them to make decisions that could potentially waste time. But the team was much to capable for such tactics, Jin could attack the barrier and them at the same time. Sol wasn't going to hesitate to protect his teammates lives and go on the offensive he had faced daemons before. But there was one factor Jin didn't know enough about and that was Joseph. He would glance at the peach haired mage quickly. "Don't hesitate and steel your nerves, protect us and we'll protect you. Also do you have a communication spell to get in contact with the girls?"
But Joseph didn't hesitate! The peach haired mage was already casting his own spells in response to the situation. He created another golem and commanded it to attack the barrier as well. It was a funny thought that all three of them has access to golem spells. Jin did notice that he didn't send any direct attacks towards the daemons themselves other then the golem he had active from before. It was probably because he couldn't, Joseph was probably more a support mage. So that could only mean he had access to healing spells that was good. So they weren't completely out of support in that regard.

Sol and Jin's spells hit their mark, revealing the hidden trap in the air. Jin was pleased something finally worked in their favor, but the thought instantly went away when he saw the burst of vines that blocked out the sun for a moment. But what made it even worse, was when the vines changed again into glass. Transmutation of a element he didn't do it, so that meant the wraith was around. That was troublesome.
There was a part of Jin that again wanted to face this threat, running from it didn't solve anything. If anything it was making things worse because it was going to continue to be a problem left unchecked, and right now they needed to be rid of their problems not continue to run from them. But of course running again was the choice everyone made. Jin's wrist was grabbed and he was taken onto one of Sol's golems in order to escape. Jin was annoyed by this he rolled his eyes, but deep down it probably was for the best. Jin probably couldn't beat that wraith on his own, he would need them to face. If they weren't up to the task, then thats just what it was.
Jin was now on top of Sol's golems, looking down at the ground and his surroundings. The new situation was annoying, but Jin had a smile on his face regardless. He was pleased these daemons used underhanded tactics. "Finally." he said to himself. The wraith was making its way to the centre of the maze. Hearing Joseph's question Jin had a simple response. "We'll kill it." he replied with a stoic tone. But then another thought entered his mind "Or. We use it."
Like Amaya said the wraith wasn't doesn't serve the daemons, and it wasn't loyal to them either. If they did have some kind of control over it, maybe it was easily broken. It seemed to change the element of anything no matter what, maybe even the Daemons struggled with it. It was just an idea though, perhaps it was something they could use to their advantage. If not Jin would rather be rid of it, as it continued to be a nuisance. "Regardless we must continue to the center of maze."

The games had to be continued. This annoyed the white haired rogue, and the more they found themselves in this situation the more he would be annoyed. But why was he so irritated by this? Jin had learned the value of patience, why did he he want rush this? Then it him like a ton of bricks. He was usually the game master, when on a job he was the one in control, the one pulling the strings, the one with the traps. And now he was on the other side of it, for the first in probably ever. A smirk was on his face, and he started to chuckle to himself. If the others heard it they probably would start to think he was loosing it. But he wasn't, not at all. He just found it funny on how the roles were reversed.
His mother would be so upset with him right now, if she knew the situation he was in. So that made him laugh a little more, He finished laughing and chuckling and let out a joyful sigh. He was going to have fun in his knew role as the prey, and not the predator. In the end he would always be the true predator despite how things looked.
Joseph the new comer needed more words of conviction, he needed to learn to keep his emotions in check. Hopefully he would learn to do so quickly, Jin felt no need to comment on the topic any further. Now they needed to focus on these traps, and with their sensory being nulled that made it much more annoying. But there was no harm in using common sense for now.
Jin heard Hinota and had a similar thought, they were all powerful and capable mages. Using flight or some form of flight was pretty easy for most of them and this whole ordeal could be easer just with flying. But the enemies had to know that, they weren't dumb. But they did seek our death, as far as Jin was concerned.
Jin twirled his sword into his right hand, leaving his left hand free. Pointed one finger in the general direction of where he wanted activate his spell, he had used his void abilities earlier, so now he wasn't so hesitant on showing them to his enemy. And if one of the daemons did have void as informed, the intricate details of the element won't surprise them at all. "Saleos." Jin simply said the word of his spell, and a void rift that resembled a miniature red planet appeared in the air in a spot Jin thought the trap would be but safe distance away from the team. In the next moment the spell would go off, releasing destructive void energy in a AOE explosion hoping to set off the airborne trap.

For such cute little things, these little helpers were very dangerous. Even though essentially blinded, deaf and robbed of sensing mana they still attacked with just not target in sight. Jin took a moment to observe them, they used fire and earth magic in unison throwing flaming coal in random places. The white haired rogue then looked over to Aeila to see how she faired, she was getting stronger and stronger the more she added to her family the more powerful she became. Even more so because she fought alongside her summons, instead of just sitting back and doing nothing.
Jin watched as she used new wraiths, ones that decided to hide in the shadows it seemed familiar. Eventually they revealed themselves and Jin remembered them, they were from the dungeon they completed not to long ago. He was pleased she was using them more so cause she was getting so much stronger. Jin planned to have Aeila by his side for a long time, and eventually they would have to tackle more and more challenging tasks in order to accomplish their goals. In order to do that they had to be strong, even more than that actually. They both had remarkable potential according to the lantern, Jin planned on them both accessing their full potential.
Watching the wraiths go to work, was somehow comical and horrific but Jin wasn't horrified by most things if anything it got him to grin. One of her dust bunnies had a leg sticking out of it's mouth. It was clear at this point that the enemies in this dungeon so far were no match for them at all. Getting through most of it will most likely be a breeze, unless something truly crazy happened. Jin noticed a cookie would fall to the ground when one of the corrupted helpers were defeated. He would come back to it once the threat was neutralized.
Jin was spinning this long dagger in his small child like hands, before dashing to one of the little helpers and slashing it across the back. And doing it again for another one with ease, the last one still blinded of course was still throwing out flaming charcoal hitting nothing. Jin ran towards it, and dodged the attack easily by flipping over it's head and landing behind it. Another slash from his weapon hitting it's back was enough to finish it off.
Jin ended his illusion spell with a swipe of his arm. With all corrupted helpers defeated, he went to one and picked up the fallen cookie and examined it. Taking a moment before looking at his partner and the new wraith she summoned. "I know those guys. From the last dungeon, glad to see you finally use them." he said to her.
Jin looked at the cookie again and remembered seeing a plate near the entrance and things stared to make sense. He then realized Aeila might not get all references that were happening. "Aeila have you ever heard of Santa Claus?" he asked her, Aeila sometimes knew of the most random facts and information and other times didn't know the names for certain things. So he asked her just in case she didn't know. "Well Santa Claus likes cookies." he continued picking up some of the cookies that were on the floor and walking over to the plate to place some of them down. He left the ones that her and her wraith defeated in case she wanted to help out.

The new member of their team apparently the peach haired ravencrest, began to calm himself. He said something quite interesting though, There are no secrets in this forest, which was quite an odd thing to say given this forest was full of secrets. But that it also fed on your regrets and used them against you somehow. It seemed this young man had been through quite allot, but he still had some resolve left in him. Jin only hoped it would last, until they all got out of this forest.
Everyone looked like they were calm now though, that was good. Only a calm mind could make rational and logical decisions. Hinota had mentioned the idea of the wraith daemon was trying to help them, or was it that it couldn't control its abilities. Both were possible in Jin's eyes and both could be exploited, one had more benefits then the other. Hinota began to catch the other Ravencrest up to speed, Jin was in his own thoughts about the wraith daemon's abilities. It wasn't making the most sense to him, at least when he thought about magic from his own knowledge.
The rogue was well-versed in transformation and transmutation magic, he used it quite often. In order to change utilize transmutation magic at a high level one needed a high level of skill when controlling their mana. If Hinota's speculation were true at least on the part about it not being able to control its magic well it wouldn't or rather it shouldn't be able to change opposing spells that have a finer level of control. This what Jin knew to be fact, the issue was could he apply such thoughts on such a unconventional being. Was Daemon magic truly this different compared to their own? It was all very interesting to him.
He heard Hinota's words and nodded he had no issue going north and then north east at least for now.
After about an hour of walking they would reach their destination and greeted by the two witches from earlier. Jin had a small smirk on his face, he was actually glad to see an enemy. The real reason the rogue was here was to learn all he could about these daemons, and make Aelia's family even bigger. That meant he to engage with them and he was finally getting the opportunity to do so. They spoke and teased the group of course, all elements of the art of war. Jin was pleased so far, until the enemy revealed such a big weakness. His face confused for a moment.
"Why tell us about such a weakness?" the rogue asked out them, with genuine curiosity in his voice. He didn't understand this tactic, were they so confident in their traps and mazes? No that couldn't be it. "Do you seek death?" he asked another question, but again his voice was genuine.
"Your tactics are strange, letting the enemy know about such a crucial weakness, I do not believe your reasoning to just be confidence in your traps and tricks. So that tells me you no longer wish to be among the living. If it is death you seek, I can grant it." Jin told them, his tone once again genuine. He wasn't mocking them, or trying to trash talk them at all. He truly meant what he said.
"It's just an offer, no need for these games."

Could it be transformation specialization combined with illusion specialization? Jin was observing how this wraith's magic worked, he watched it closely. It was very strange, the rogue was pretty convinced the wraith knew where they were but it didn't attack. So Mr. Elysi wasn't lying about that part so far, the proper color did protect them. This did allow them to observe the wraith more closely without having to be engaged with it, the rogue couldn't complain. Since the two seemed to be its main usage of magic, he was pretty sure it wasn't the only ones though. It's sensory abilities must be high, but its control over mana must be even higher.
Jin was well versed in transformation and transmutation magic, he often experimented with turning elements into other ones to gain specific advantages he wondered if this wraith was doing the same thing. Was it capable of developing plans and strategy like this? Did it even understand how this transmutation worked?
"I'm fine." Jin responded to Sol's questions, he wasn't done conversing with him but now was not the time for it. Considering how the wraith simply phased through the others they were fine as well.
The one with the orange hair started to ask a bunch of questions, all reasonable but it was easy to tell that he was in a panicked state. It wasn't until he said he was ready to give up and die when the rogue decided to speak to him. "No no. No one dies here. Not even you. Little Ravencrest." Jin said to Joseph. If anyone in this group died that meant Jin was failing, and that was not in his nature. Zaven Blake was already missing and that concerned him more then he liked to admit. "Considering you were mage a royal knight, must mean you’re pretty capable. This is not the place for the weak willed, I need you to steel your nerves." If Joseph was going to survive this place, he needed to be calm and strong.
To say Jin was annoyed on how things were turning out, would be an understatement. They had been in this forest for quite some time and all the threats that they were sent to get rid of were still here.

Although Jin was confronting Sol, his main attention was on Hinota actually. She decided to lead them down a path they could deduce wasn't that safe, but he was wondering what was the reason. And he also found Zaven's disappearance rather concerning. Now there was also another arrival, someone with peach colored hair who was a member of the Golden Dawn along with Hinota.
Of course more help didn't hurt, but Jin had not planned for this persons arrival. He truly knew that when he took on this mission it was going to be very dangerous, life threatening he had accepted this. But so much was happening he found himself questioning what exactly was going on. Hinota had told Jin to not scold Sol, but Jin didn't wasn't scolding him at least his own eyes. There had been enough scolding for the day. No Jin wanted to see the nobles response to his words.
And of course Amaya's response was that she didn't need any defending. Of course she didn't. Complex families, royalty, nobility, socialites, they all could begin to look like pirhana’s after a while. Jin was aware of this, there was no time to explain his point but Hinota and Amaya wouldn't be on the same page as Jin. Then again this could all be stemming from Jin's own ego.
Jin's listened to Sol's response clearly "Every reaso-" Jin began to reply, before stopping himself when he spotted that something was wrong. Hinota's words hit next as she said they needed to run. In all honesty the rogue wanted to stay and fight, he wasn't against running when needed. But he didn't see this situation that way, obviously this enemy wasn't a typical one they could just defeat outright and kill. It was lack for better work complex, Jin wanted to test it's abilities see how they worked so he could figure out its weakness. No matter how powerful an ability or mage there was always a weakness, always.
But the rogue followed for now, his speed allowed him to keep up, as he followed Hinota to get to a safe spot. There was a drop in temperature as he noticed he could see his breath in the air, and felt deep cold chills on his skin beneath his clothing. Not only that but now the screams and wailing of people in danger were not ringing in his ears. Could it be from the being itself, perhaps a illusion of sorts. Jin would activate his own sensory abilities if wasn't for this white noise in this forest that prevented him from doing so. The white haired rogue also wanted to test how this being changed the elements and settings around it, he could create a void marker next to the creature and observe how it reacts to it. But right now Jin wasn't in a position to test any of this, he simply ran and followed instructions for now. There was to much at risk, and to much working against him right now to do what he had in mind. He wanted to be rid of this white noise as quickly as possible.

Jin walked outside he hadn't forgotten what the white noise felt like, it was a nuisance. Not being able to use his sensory or any kind of sensing abilities really began to annoy him. Quite sometime had passed since this mission had started, and next to nothing was truly done. No daemons were dead at his feet, he truly hoped with Elysi's information they could make some actual progress.
But the rogue's annoyances didn't end there. Zaven was not around as Jin hoped he would be. Zaven Blake being a magic knight captain and a powerful mage his presence would make things easier, without him it would be allot more difficult. Not that Jin was shy of difficulty, but things could always be easier. Jin let out a very quiet sigh, and noticed the direction that Hinota was headed.
He was surprised for a bit, Hinota was smart but the direction she was headed was headed to a Onyx marking on the map. That meant the wraith was in that area, so he was a bit confused on why she was headed in that direction. "Hinota why that way?" he asked her as he watched Elysi's place vanish from sight and sensory. Now with Sol being in his sight, Jin looked at him and then to Amaya. He would hold his tongue no longer.
"Sol." He said loud enough for the decay mage to hear as he walked towards him. "Be it Shinryu or Delothosin it doesn't matter, I hope to see more backbone from you in the future. Even if it's family stand up for yourself and the ones you care for." Jin added referring to Amaya. It may not have seemed like a big deal to them but Jin's upbringing and mindset didn't tolerate for any kind of disrespect, it was a sign of weakness. Weakness or any sign of it was something his mother drove out of them. They were all a team meaning they each were responsible for each other's lives, Jin needed to make sure Sol was up to task.

Jin's eyes widened for a bit when he heard Hinota's words on the wraith like being, being part of the Delothosin family. He thought his family had secrets but this was something else. The entirety of this Delothosin family didn't really tug at his interest, only when it came to him directly. Whether the information being told effected his own life. But he was growing more and more suspicious of this family the more he found out, perhaps when he got home he would do some more background checks to see if they truly were a threat to his own home.
The white haired rogue was also taken aback when Hinota denied the item, she was smarter then most did she not deem it valuable? No that wasn't it, its because she's a selfless person a pacifist and a magic knight. The safety of others in her point of view will always come before her own. Jin was a rogue, the safety of is own well being will always come before others in his point of view. A small smirk was on Jin's lips as decided to no longer push the subject. His smirk lingered when she whispered calling him a curious man, and wanted to ask him and her bodyguards some answers. Whether her questions would be answered only time could tell. But Jin had no intention of even telling Hinota about the true inner workings of the Zhongli.
It was getting harder for Jin to hold his tongue, the more the subject went on and on about Elysi's preferred way of being addressed. Jin was not shy about expressing his thoughts, even if no one agreed with him even when it would land him in trouble. Of course depending on the circumstances. Out of all the Zhongli children he probably did the most time in the chambers because of his tongue, but he always been smart enough to never let ruin a mission or objective. He wouldn't do it here either.
Truth be told the only words Jin actually cared to listen to in this situation was Hinota, Sol and Elysi's words simply went in one ear and out the other. But he would have words with Sol as soon as the opportunity presented itself. The only reason he didn't snap back at Elysi at this very moment was because his knowledge on the current situation was extremely vital, and he would not ruin that with his own selfishness. But had it not been for the situation at hand Jin probably would have tested the elder Delothosin. But maybe for another time, for now he would simply think of Elysi as a man who had wasted five years of his life in this forest cause of his own choices. "Yes I think I will be more mindful in the future."
Now was the time to leave, they now had much more knowledge then before on how to tackle the daemon threat and other things in this forest. Jin did a light bow towards the elder Delothosin "Thank You." and his words were genuine even if he didn't particularly like the guy. If his knowledge had proved correct Elysi Delothosin would play a vital important role in them ending this threat. Jin made sure he had everything he needed before walking towards the door.
"Now where is Zaven Blake?" Jin asked

Sol and Elysi continued to discuss their family matters. Jin didn't know and hasn't seen much from Sol yet, but it did seem like he was being asked to do a lot. Finally meeting someone from his family for the first time from what Jin could tell. He wondered if the magic knight had the backbone to do what was required of him, hopefully he did. Much like Amaya and Jin himself Sol was a powerful mage, but their potential not yet fully realized. But it wasn't just about strength, did he have the mental fortitude?
Jin smiled when Elysi agreed to lend them the bottle he had used, to be honest he didn't care who had it as long as they did. "Your very kind Elysi, Thank you. To make it easier let Sol carry the item so that way no one forgets when its time to return it." He replied. Just in case they had another overwhelming encounter, the bottle would help if it still worked and worked the same way as displayed.
Elysi next comments towards Jin confused the rogue a bit, but only because he didn't know what he was talking about. Had he done something that was unwise? He truly didn't know. Jin had to conclude that maybe he was referring to Jin's slight about how we aren't all perfect. Considering how grumpy of a man Elysi was, perhaps this was his way of snapping back. If it was then it wasn't worth responding to in Jin's mind it was rather weak. Jin was as petty as they come, while some considered it a flaw in a way it has kept him alive. To him it meant even the little things are important, even the tiniest of details.
Jin chuckled at Hinota's comments "Well according to Elysi being perfect is boring, so I would disagree with you only because I do not find you boring." he replied to her also hearing Elysi's comments. Jin's subtle jabs towards Elysi wasn't meant to offend him, but only to make him realize that he was rubbing people the wrong way, perhaps the message got across to him. But Jin couldn't blame him entirely being stuck here for so long could bring the worst out in anyone. To be honest it was a blessing that Elysi so far had only been a grumpy over-opinionated judgmental man, whom probably forgot how to have a little fun he could have been worse.
Elysi's next words to Jin were said rather coldly, it seemed the rogue had hit a nerve or sorts in his little teasing. Jin smiled and dipped his head a little. "Apologies Elysi I was only trying to lighten the mood. Offending you was not my intention. You have been kind and welcoming to us. I extend that apology to you as well Sol, I meant no disrespect to your family." He said to them both. Jin was used to this, he often joined the antics of his siblings and had apologize for them later on. He turned his eyes towards Amaya and gave her a playful frown, now he had been scolded at just like her. But it was all just a jest to him, he would laugh about it later. He was glad to see Sol have some backbone though.
The next focus was the map that Elysi was now showing them, which Jin studied very carefully. Some things had shifted on the map which was odd and confusing, but Amaya and Sol had already begun to ask the Delothosin what that meant. So Jin didn't feel the need to be the third one to ask, he simply awaited for the answer.

Jin remained quiet for a while, just listening in on everyones words. Elysi was clearly not telling them everything, which Jin was not a fan of but it was to be expected. Everyone has secrets, some people would rather die with them. In ways Elysi was similar to Jin, they both had secrets and information about their own families that they could never part with for whatever reason. From Jin's position he could understand Elysi's hesitation, but in this instance lives were at stake.
There was another conversation happening with Hinota not really looking forward to being the leader as Zaven seemed on and off. Jin let out a little bit of a sigh. He was probably going to die here, he didn't believe everyone here was incompetent. It was just a lack of connection. His mother taught each child about the importance of working together and connecting on the same objective.
The next thing was Hinota's words, particularly the ones that sounded like gibberish to everyone else but him. Jin didn't react to this in anyway but he completely understood it. In his mind he was smirking, the twins must of taught her the language. Each member of the Zhongli no a way to communicate with each other in the same room without anyone else knowing what they are saying. It's only really used in times of need. In a way she was Zhongli after all. Jin blinked three times to acknowledge that he heard and understood her words.
"That bottle was able to quell some pretty nasty mana beasts very easily. If you have more it could prove very useful in the situation were faced with mana beasts again. But only if you have more to spare that is." Jin said Elysi, the rogue had seen his fair share of powerful items and weapons. He owned some of them, and anytime his eyes found something that would prove useful he would always try and get his hands on it. He wasn't going to steal it given the situation that they were in, he would ask for it.
There was some scolding going on between Hinota and Amaya and Elysi, and then Sol. It seemed strange that Elysi had such an opinion on two people he didn't know even if one of them was family apparently. Jin looked at Sol and Amaya and then back at Elysi. "They have my full confidence and I fully intend for us all to make it out of here alive." Jin replied to him. So far Elysi had proven useful but also quite judgmental and overly opinionated on people he didn't know. It was rubbing Jin the wrong way. He felt his words were having a negative effect on the moral of Sol and Amaya at a time when their moral needed to be firm and solid. Jin's eyes wondered around the room and then back at Elysi. " Were not all perfect are we?" he added.
After Elysi was telling them ways to navigate the forest, he started to tell them about a particular dangerous entity as if things weren't already bad. Something that could not only harm them but also change ones appearance and magic? Jin's eyes interest peaked when he heard this, he never heard of such a creature that was capable of this. The next moment as if he spoke it into existence a wraith like being was floating in the room and Jin remained perfectly still and in three minutes it was gone. So it followed scents and seemingly had no sight. Quite the interesting creature Jin had to admit.
Once Elysi was done and it was came to the group to discuss what to do next. Jin would thank Elysi. "Thank you... Mr. Elysi." he said with a smirk.

Elysi was full of vital information on many different things it seemed like. When it came to his own family filling in Sol, and even with the Blake family. Jin cared little for the details of royal or noble families and houses, he only truly cared for his own and the Yuiee. He was a member of the Zhongli family through and through, his mother was his only mother even if weren't blood. Their connection was thicker than blood, but he would have some guesses from time to time on whom his blood family was. Jin himself liked to think that he came from no noble housing, and his family were farmers he just so happened to be blessed with a five star grimoire. Thats what he liked to tell himself.
"I've heard about Zaven's Blakes many accomplishments when it came to defending Clover. While what you say might be true, I believe the King of Shadows will prevail over whatever demons he might be dealing with. But with that being said we shall be cautious." Jin said in response to Elysi's comments about Zaven potentially turning into a demon himself. To an extant Jin did truly believe this, but of course only to a certain extant. Jin only trusted a very select few people in this world and none of them were in this room currently. But when it came down to magic knights like Zaven he didn't have to trust his character, he did trust the Shadow of the Dawn own resolve.
Upon hearing more from Elysi Jin had understood his situation now, if he was telling the truth. "So you’re stranded here basically. That is no way to live." Jin said half jokingly.
Once he finished giving out what information he had on the Daemons he encountered, Jin was tapping the pommel of his sword to his chin. "Void and darkness...that is quite the nasty combination. Encountering someone else with my element, will be interesting to say the least. That being said we should have our own open discussion on our own elements and weaknesses. So the mistake I made before won't happen again. This will also perhaps help in us working together as a team." Jin said to the group. "But we should probably best wait for Zaven to return."
Jin then looked towards Elysi again. "That bottle you used against the mana beast, what was that?" he asked him. The rogue was very curious about this item, he used it to singlehandedly take care of threat, if he had more it could definitely come in handy.
