As Sols blood countess put the Leonard and Taiyo on the stair case the blood mage was glad to see that neither one of them were really injured, Taiyo had no injuries and the worse that Leonard had was some scraps from the serrations on the golems tendril but they wouldn’t bother him much. As the young vermillion said they were fine Sol nodded.”I’m glad this pretty golem is more built for efficiently taking down enemies not protecting but I suppose I found a new use for it” he said glancing up at his blood countess, she truly was built to harm since her claws could slash or impale with ease and her tendrils could constrict and tear things apart with little to no effort at all. As he turned to Griswold he could feel his eyebrow wanting to twitch in irritation, the man clearly had no clue how to work with a squad or how to work as a team. It was clear from the moment he moved ahead of them into the first room without even consulting the others.”.” He scolded as he moved up the stairs towards the next floor
Floor 2 room 1
Upon getting up the stairs Griswold once again offered his abilitys and wanted to scout ahead, however before Sol could say anything since he was at the front of the group he moved ahead and Taiyo also argues that they were moving together, from there it became a bit of a nightmare as the young vermillion suddenly caused a flash of light revealing the creatures before them and Sol had to resist the urge to facepalm since that just gave away their position, As Griswold proceeded to chew him and the others out for foolish moves which seemed to be pointed at Taiyo if Sol had to guess the man decided to leave the group and the mission,as he left Sol simply shook his head at the absurdity of it “nevermind him then we can keep pushing forward” he said while his mind was processing what just happened. ‘honestly what kind of magic knight just up and leaves in the middle of something like this if that’s how hes going to act he wont last long in the magic knights and most likely we will find him in a ditch’ he thought as he kept his eyes on the room and the slugs. the slug like creatures seemed calm but with the light in the room the crimson eyed mage caught sight of movement in his peripheral vision and he turned to his allies.”whatever these things are they arnt happy we are here and are attacking we need to hurry and take them out” he suggested as he glanced at his golem.”Attack” he ordered as the fearsome looking creation lashed a tendril beside Sol to strike a tendril that was approaching him, the countess then rushed forward aiming at two of the creatures and proceeded to cleave thru one of them with its clawed hand ripping thru it with the razor shape claws with no resistance.
The blood golem then proceeded to impale the other creature with its other set of straight claws and Sols eyes flickered to his partners for the mission, he knew that they had lost Griswold but honestly he didn’t worry that much about that aspect the only thing he was concerned about was how well the remaining two could defend themselves. Sol didn’t doubt that they could fight since they were part of the crimson lions one of the most fearsome and combat oriented squads in the whole magic knights. That said he still hadn’t seem much of their abilitys up close so he was still a bit unsure of their overall abilitys but he had faith in them. While they dealt with these creatures Sol thought on his interactions with the Crimson Lion squad so far, out of all of them so far the ones he got along with the best were captain Ard, Leonard, and Taiyo while he couldn’t stand the vice captain and now Griswold as well so it seemed hit or miss with the squad.the Blood Countess suddenly turned and proceeded to wrap two more of the snail creatures up in its serrated tendrils and bound them tight before suddenly pulled them in the opposite way causing the sharp spines on the tendrils to carve and cut them apart like a saw. Glancing around Sol still saw a lot of them remaining but it seemed he had thinned a few of them out and as he grabbed his sword he faced one that was low enough he could attack himself. The blood mage quickly dashed forward and delivered two blindingly fast slashes at the creature before it split apart into four pieces unable to even move its tendrils anymore, Sol would quickly jump back to avoid any of the others grabbing him and took a count of the beasts.
From what the Noble could see there were ten of the snails left and they all seemed rather angry as they saw their fellow snails being slain.”think you both can handle 5 each if need be I can give some back up” he offered as he slashed at a few tendrils approaching him. Even with Griswold turning tail and giving up it seemed that Sol and the other were up to the task and the red eyed mage was confident that they would get thru this tower and make it to the top where hopefully there was some kind of treasure waiting for them but only time would tell. Sol knew that so far he hadn’t put much effort into his spells since they hadn’t hit any true danger yet but he would need to keep an eye on his reserves so he didn’t exhaust himself before they reached the top.
[attr="class","silasreescroll"]When his collar was grabbed by Leo, Taiyo turned and looked at him with a serious face. He knew his cousin meant well but he was also being held back by the constant protection of Leo. I understand your concern but you have to understand that I am not a kid anymore. I know you want to protect me but I am a magic knight, same as you. I am capable of defending myself. Just keep having my back, okay? He gave Leo a reassuring smile before continuing.
[break][break]
The young Vermillion heir grinned as his cousin said that he was relying on him to bring the shine. It was what he was good at. His happy mood would become dull as Griswold spoke. It was like everything about the guy was just wrong. First he was going to abandon his comrades unless they cry out to him for help then he complains and wants to run away? Man, just how immature was this guy. Regardless of what problems you have with people, if you’re doing a job, do your duty. Taiyo would make a note of this and would be sure to report such activity to the captain or vice captain, maybe even both. He couldn’t work with someone who would just abandon their friends or team like the way Gris did. Clearly he didn’t play well with others so it was a wonder on how he was a magic knight.
[break][break]
He couldn’t let his emotions get the best of him, he still had a job to do; Clear the dungeon. His cousin had warned the group of the slug like creatures who were on the attack. Sol had given the command to attack to which Taiyo nodded. His grimoire appeared next to him and the pages began flipping. He watched Sol take down 5 of them, leaving 10 for him and Leo. He asked if they could take 5 each to which Taiyo grinned. Yeah, we can handle that, right cousin? As the pages stopped flipping, the page that was face up began glowing and bright sunlight surrounded Taiyo. Solar Magic: Solaris Illumination! The light dissipated as he held his palms out to a snail-like creature and released his beam of star twinkling solar magic. As it successfully hit the snail, he would target another using another blast without using more mana due to his ammo rule. This is my only ranged attack. My next attack is very close range and I don’t think it would be wise to strike these unknown creatures. I could try however since my hands will be covered in a mana cloak.

Sol wasent sure what Leonard was doing but he saw that Taiyo was having some trouble since his abilitys were limited at long range So the blood mage glanced at him.”need some help then the quicker we take them out the quicker we move onwards” he said as he turned his attention to one of the snail creatures near Taiyo and spoke a simple order to terrifying golem.”attack then start helping Leonard with his targets” he said as the blood countess shot its arm towards the snail and impaled it cleanly before flicking its hand and shredding the creature more as its spear like talons were removed from its body, all the while the construct kept an impassive face which still looked beautiful but unnerving as well for something armed to the teeth. The bloody golem then rushed at a few of the snails that were looking to attack Leonard with their tendrils before it would then swipe one of its serrated blood tentacles down severing the tendrils approaching him before bringing up another and spearing one of the creatures with it while the serrations sawed thru the snail like a knife thru butter.
Turning quickly the countess then proceeded to use both of its arms and stuck another one with the spear like claws of one hand before the razor sharp claws on the other would suddenly slash diagonally quickly and cleave the creature into multiple pieces. After that the construct would return to Sol and keep guard over its creator and wait for further orders, As he waited for the other two to finish their foes off Sol suddenly caught scent of something foul and he resisted the urge to retch as he glanced around to see the cause of the smell. Turning his eyes to the floor the blood mage saw the remains of multiple animals including rodents and birds but they were just bones with no flesh on them at all along with mushrooms sprouting all around the floor and walls, while they would not make the room smell pleasant Sol knew they couldn’t be the source of such a nasty odor. Once they had finished and had a few moments to breath and recover.” Good job both of you your abilitys are pretty good at your level and with time they will get even stronger as long as we keep a level head we can finish this tower with little hassle” he said a small smile on his face, he wasn't trying to boast his own strength but he knew how it was to start from the bottom and have to work hard to get stronger. “now that we have had a bit to rest lets press forward it seems the only way forward is this gaping hole in the wall but ugh.. it reeks of the dead” he commented as he was still struggling to keep his stomach from twisting at the rotting smell emitting from the hole spirits only knows what was causing the stench.
[Floor 2 room 2]
As Sol and the other would step out from the hole in the wall they would instantly be blasted by hot air as they would see what appeared to be a large heated lake, at this the blood mage smirked a bit, “huh a warm lake provided it isn’t to hot a dip would be amazing right now” he mused a bit before he shook his head “still to dangerous and we have a job to do still a visit to the hotsprings might be in order after I get home” he said as he glanced around, so far there were no enemies in sight but that could change at any moment. Other then that the wild flora was a sight to behold in the room with huge blue mushrooms towering above them and exotic grasses and plants all around them. Sol glanced around his red eyes trying to scan for any signs of danger and while he could see nothing he had a nasty feeling this wasn't as peaceful of a place as it looked, glancing at his construct he gave a simple order.”Stay close and be ready” he said as the blood countess floated near him and seemed ready to rip into the next thing it was told to.
‘to think this tower has such life inside it, I’ve heard of such places from my studies when younger but reading and actually see are so different, Still we need to be cautious who knows what other creatures could be in this tower we have gotten lucky so far but luck only can take us so far. It would be easier if we still had that Griswold fellow but we have no time for fools’ the blood mage thought as he turned to Leonard and Taiyo. “ keep your guards up I have a bad feeling something is lurking around here the last thing we need is to be blind sided “ he said. While it wasent his main focus Sol was also still stunned from what had happened in the earlier room, to think a magic knight would be so selfish and self centered that he would willingly ditch his team in a tower with unknown dangers, mind you he knew most nobles were rather pampered but he didn’t get that vibe from Griswold at all if anything he got the opposite he seemed like a hick from a hole in the wall village but that didn’t give him the right to bail on the mission. Sol honestly hoped he didn’t encounter him again or things would get ugly very fast since he didn’t appreciate being thrown to the wolves because someone had a hissy fit, one thing the Blood mage was sure about was that he intended to let Ardere and Lydia know about this alongside Taiyo and Leonard which Sol was sure would end up getting the deserter in major trouble but at this point the fool had brought it on himself.
[attr="class","silasreescroll"]Taiyo looked over at Sol who just assisted in taking out one of the monster snails. Thanks! Now it’s time to take out these two! Solaris Illumination! he powered up the attack again, firing it off at the same two snail-like creatures that he hit at first, taking them down at last.
[break][break]
Two more left for me! He prepared the attack once more and fired it off at the two remaining snails. With the attacks landing on the target, he rushed forward and performed a spinning kick, striking them both twice each, defeating them. And now we’re done. That was quite the workout. How are you doing over there dear cousin? He would breathe out heavily having performed his spell back to back. He needed to catch his breath but he wouldn’t let that stop him. He needed to pace himself so they could finish the dungeon.
[break][break]
After finishing up with the room he was in, he looked to Sol who had remarked that the room they had to go to next reeked of death. He wasn’t lying when he said that. The smell was enough to make the young Vermillion heir sick to his stomach. Even so, he was a magic knight now and that meant he had a duty to do. He would never half ass the job or leave it undone if others were relying on him. It may stink but we have a job to do so let’s just get it done and go home. I’ve had about enough exploration for today in this place. It is pretty but it’s also dangerous and has some awful smells. Though on the surface the scent and danger of the place would seem to make Taiyo not want to be there, it was really the events that happened before with their fellow Crimson Lion Griswold that set the mood. Taiyo needed to process the events and try to get over it but where they were, he had no time to use his brain power for something so trivial. He had better things to do.
[break][break]
On entering the next room, Taiyo stuck close to Sol. As he stood by Sol, they were surrounded by reptilian monsters. You hear that right? Knowing they may need extra light to see where they were going, Taiyo brightened the room to see the beasts that surrounded them. Hope you brought your A-game, we got some beasts. Springing into action, Taiyo charged one of them to his right and tried to bash it on the nose with his fist. After hitting it, he leapt over it and brought his foot down on its head, knocking it to the floor where he followed up with two more kicks. Why are they so many of them?
[break][break]
Jumping back to regroup and recover, Taiyo looked to Sol. How good are you with physical attacks? Maybe you can use your sword to assist and we can get through here faster especially since your golem can handle its own. I on the other hand, will need some help.

It was unusual for the Golden Dawn's doll-like mage to be in the fringe especially after what happened there the last time she was in the place. She had to admit she was nervous being in the place, it wasn't exactly like she was built to take out any threat that came her way but she was far stronger than she had been the last time she was in this part of the kingdom. That scared her that much more as if she lost control it would do more damage than it did previously. So far the travel had been uneventful and so she didn't worry all that much. She was almost at her destination, it was true if she had asked Elenor she could have been here a while ago but she wanted to try and do things on her own. She wanted to prove that she belonged.
Many people called her unfit to be able to do her job, that she had no place on a battlefield. Each and every time she heard that it chipped a little more at her already fragile confidence. She had no idea what she was going to find when she got there but she was hit but a sandstorm. Bringing up her sleeved arms she could only close her eye thankful that she was wearing the hanfu that she was that day due to the willow sleeves helping her eyes from being hurt by the harshness of the sand. This was honestly the last thing that she needed but she could only trust her instincts would lead her to where she needed to go as she had quite bad sensory. She realized she really needed to put the effort into studying the skill. Perhaps she could talk Echo into teaching her.
She had found out his family were hunters and that they specialized in sensory, she bit her bottom lip as she realized that they were often busy and their father was quite scary. She was unsure if she would be uncomfortable in that setting again especially with the woman that was quite hostile towards her for absolutely no reason. Eventually, she got through the sandstorm and brought down her sleeves, looking to the area. A humongous leaning monstrosity of carved rock was now in front of her eyes making her wonder if she really was in the right area. She almost felt like she had taken a trip back in time and that frightened her, this was a different type of cage and this one was far more hostile than the gilded one she called home that she called home she was sure. Slowly she headed towards the entrance knowing she couldn't go back.
She was becoming more and more aware that this place was being reclaimed by nature but that didn't surprise her at all, everything was eventually taken back by the earth it was just the way of things. She felt nervous ascending the steps towards the front door. The vines that had been covering it clearly removed, which meant there had to be someone inside already, which made her nervous as she didn't know at that time if they were friend or foe, it was something that only time would tell as she moved forward. She was truly hoping that she was going to be meeting friends because if she was meeting enemies, well, her options were beyond limited. She was a support mage, she held no offensive ability. She was starting to wish that Valo was with her, he always made her feel safe something she wasn't at current.
Floor 1:
Entering the tower she found herself in a large circular room, she looked over everything making sure to note where the bad spots were and where she could go for cover if required. She was unsettled but she knew she needed to continue moving forward but did so cautiously as she was on her one in an unknown place. The room was dark overall, the only light coming from the cracks in the ceiling and walls. The heat she had to admit was warmer than even on her own estate and she truly wasn't enjoying it, it was times like this she wished she was born a wind, snow, water or ice mage if she was to be honest with herself. It was then she heard running water and she ended up having flashbacks to the wedding well "Please don't let this place be filled with dead bodies." she was praying to some unseen force.
Looking down she sighed lifting her feet "Yet another hanfu ruined... I'm not surprised at this point." she said continuing to move forward. It wasn't exactly like she could do much, besides she was quite sure it didn't matter what she was wearing it was going to get ruined in this place. She ignored the few bugs and mosquitoes flying around and headed towards the limestone steps that would lead her further into the dungeon. It wasn't that long for her to realize there was something wrong, she was sinking into the soft dirt, all she could smell now was dirt as she got lower. It was less than convenient that was for sure, she knew she didn't have the strength to pull herself up, she wasn't built for combat nor for heavy lifting so it was completely out of the question.
Her left hand went into the right sleeve of her hanfu as she brought out a delicate looking silver key with butterfly wings at the top embedded with three sky blue crystals, there is a chain on the length of the bar that has a blue rose at the end. She blushed remembering the one who gave it to her. She turned the key to the left and from her back sprouted two beautiful butterfly wings made out of bluebell petals, it took her a moment but she managed to get them fluttering and out of the soil before she could sink too far. She was surprised to find that she was able to fly at the same speed that she usually moved, it had been the first time she had used the item since he had given her the item, she still wasn't sure why he gave her the item.
It was something she would have to ask him at a later date mainly because she kept forgetting to do so when he was around and he wasn't around at the moment for her to do it. It was only a few moments before she had landed on the bottom step and started to ascend them. For now, she would keep the ability of the key active in case it was required to get her out of any other tricky spots she may find herself in. Given how this place had been treating her at the moment she was wondering if she should even really be on the floor, so far, she had found herself standing in water which had who knew what within it and ended up in an earth version of quicksand she really wasn't having a good time of things. 'I need to go forward, I need to prove I can do things on my own.' she thought to herself.
Floor 2
She had moved to the top of the steps slowly, upon reaching the top she found herself looking over a mass of wide-open land that seemed to have several habitats on it. She wasn't too sure if she should be in awe or petrified at what could be in each of those areas. Taking a breath to steady her nerves she walked forward once more. She looked back down the steps remembering how she had almost slipped a few times on the wet stone, each time it had happened she had fluttered the wings she was still adorning and it had kept her upright and managing to move forward. She walked into the darkness of the first area and saw several monstrosities laying around her dead, they looked like someone had spliced DNA of a mushroom and a snail to see what would happen. She didn't want to think how dangerous these things were, she was just glad that she didn't have to deal with them, especially so many. The one thing that struck her was the miasma within the air.
She instinctively brought her sleeved hand to her mouth and nose while holding her other hand open releasing a miasma that smelt of freshly baked goods. To be honest, anything would have smelt better than what the place currently had been thanks to the foul air. She started to look around to see if there were any dead bodies of people but found none, from what she could tell from the carcases these things hadn't been attacked by hunters as nothing had been taken from them. It was still worrying to her, to say the least, but there wasn't exactly a lot she could do. On her rounds, she had noticed a hole in the wall, without another way to proceed she moved forward.
Moving through the hole in the wall she felt the room shake her eyes going wide as she flew up a little unsure if there was an immediate threat on the ground. She looked around to find herself under the open sky, it was like whatever tower she had found herself within had collapsed in on itself perhaps or maybe it didn't have a roof at any point. Whatever the true reason it was lost to time and left only speculation. She could feel the hot steam of the area and even wearing silk she found herself uncomfortable with this kind of heat. From her flying spot, she noticed a large steaming lake and knew right away that was most definitely not a hot spring. Everything seemed to be overgrown from the grass to the giant glowing azure mushrooms, she felt like she was in some sort of prehistoric fairytale if she was perfectly honest. It was then she heard noise her eyes instantly been drawn to it, her eyes went wide as she saw a pack of ten animals.
These weren't just any animals, they were thought to be extinct if her memory served her correctly even though she had completely forgotten the name of the animal itself. Her eyes were soon drawn to the thing they were fighting... it was a magic knight... a crimson lion to be exact. She honestly wished she didn't come here now as he likely knew her father and brother and so that meant they'd likely tell them that they had met here. That was the last thing she wanted or needed, being within range the ability of the key she held gave the man below a set of bluebell petal butterfly wings "I'm sorry to disrupt you, but could you come up here so we can thing of a way to take care of these animals without killing them?" she called down, depending on what he did next would decide how she would proceed but she hoped that he would have enough common sense to see why the talk was needed.

As I am a substitute for the dungeon I only had to post 1.5k words under the appropriate rules Ended post in Floor 2, Room 2
Last Edit: Jun 12, 2021 5:21:34 GMT -5 by Hinota Yuiee✾
[attr="class","silasreescroll"]Taiyo was about to run towards the next creature as it was moving towards him, however he was interrupted when wings appeared on his back. This was accompanied by a female’s voice traveling to him with an apology. She had asked him to come to where she was so they could brainstorm ideas on getting out of the room without fighting. What was this girl thinking? Coming into a dangerous dungeon then trying to somehow advance without fighting? Was that even possible? So many different questions filled the young Crimson Lion’s head. It couldn’t hurt to see if there was a way and besides, Taiyo was heavily outnumbered and outmatched. With the wings he had, he moved towards her. As he got closer, he began to see her more clearly. He immediately noticed the mantle she had. She was a member of the Golden Dawn.
[break][break]
From what the young man could see, she was gorgeous. As he stopped where she was, he smiled at her. Hi there. You said something about getting past these beasts without killing them. I’m intrigued about how you expect to accomplish that. If she somehow had a way for them to proceed without further violence, Taiyo was all for it. After all, he was an invader in their habitat. He couldn’t be mad if they were trying to defend their home.
[break][break]
He started remembering what his mother taught him at a young age. It was a day that she and him were sitting in the gardens. That day she read to him a story that had a lioness attacking a pack of hyenas to defend its home. Though she was outnumbered, the lioness had a goal and that was to make sure that its pride was out of harm’s way. Her words still ran in his mind. “Taiyo, if you ever invade the territory of a creature that finds you a threat to it and its land, it will defend against you. Just because it may be big or terrifying to look at, doesn’t mean that it’s out for blood. It could be just defending its home. Be mindful of that. If you’re given a choice on whether to avoid combat with that creature or to fight them, go with the peaceful option. All things are beautiful.”
[break][break]
Realizing that he hadn’t introduced himself, he flashed a confident smile. Forgive me for my rudeness. I didn’t introduce myself. I am Taiyo Vermilion, heir to House Vermilion and I am a Junior rank Crimson Lion. If she introduced herself after, he would hold his hand out to shake hers. Nice to meet you.

Hinota remained to flutter above the battleground as she awaited the solar mage to fly up to her, she knew that the ability of her item would only be able to be active a little longer but it would give them long enough to come up with a plan. She moved to one of the giant mushrooms and sat on its cap, this wasn't because she was not going to help but rather so that the other wouldn't have to worry about her. She didn't want to be a distraction to him and this allowed her to cast her magic to help him the best she could, the issue was she wasn't an offensive mage, the best she could do was make sure he didn't get hurt and heal him when he did. She knew these mana beasts were thought to be extinct and that researchers would be interested so needed to be protected.
She watched as Taiyo got closer to her and smiled warmly "My name is Hinota, I'm a member of the Golden Dawn if I am not mistaken you're Taiyo, the heir of the Vermilion family." she said double checking she had the right person, she would apologise if she was wrong but as politics was one of the things she excelled at she was pretty sure she hadn't made such a mistake. She nodded at his words "These mana beast are thought to be extinct, so killing them is out of the question. They and their habitat should be studied so we need to knock them out." she said calmly to him "This means you need to hold back." she said knowing that his squad where good people who had an affinity for offensive magic, she also knew at times it was hard to hold back such magics.
"I'm not going to be of much use to you offensively so I'll remain on this mushroom until the end so you don't have to worry about me..." she said gently, she knew how that would sound but she wasn't finished "I specialize in support magic so I can help you in that way." She said showing that she was helpful in other ways, she just hoped that he would think so. It was one of her major doubts thanks to her family and others, she was always so protected and people were always so quick to come to her aid she felt defenceless a lot of the time. There were people who didn't see her as that damsel in distress but her confidence in herself especially since leaving her families estate had been shaky.
Then again when she had been told that she excelled in something and then coming across others that could do what she did and better it was hard not to be self-conscious about such things. It was then he introduced himself and she smiled brighter as she had gotten the right person "It's a pleasure to meet you Lord Vermilion." she would say in a pleasant voice her eyes then went down to the ten enemies below, with just the two of them she knew this was going to take a while and they didn't need that so bit her lip as she thought of what to do. They needed more support or they were likely going to be in there for months and she already felt like she needed a bath thanks to what happened in previous areas of this hell hole. She knew she should look into more appropriate clothing but the thought of changing such things about herself made her feel uncomfortable and anxious.
Closing her eyes she takes a deep breath and held it for a few seconds before releasing it, as she did a storm of different coloured vibrant petals seem to appear enshrouding her, it would be easy to believe that she was trying to hide her presence from the enemy but this wasn't what she had in mind at all as the petals seem to create a colourful tree around 20 meters away from her. Appearing on the lushness of what would normally be green leaves would grow beautiful pale purple and white wisteria dangling from the flower petal-like tree. The scent of the purple wisteria smells of lavender while the white wisteria smells of chamomile giving a relaxing atmosphere, four of the purple wisteria crept forward and instantly entangled the enemy slowing them while they seemed to cry out as if they were each getting hurt.
She looked at her ring and smiled faintly, she had wanted to do something on her own but it was becoming more and more apparent that she would require him by her side. 'Luli said we're like two strands of the same strand of silk thread. We are strong in our own right, he as a warrior and I as a healer but we're imbalanced because we lack something the other has. We're stronger together, he is my sword and I am his shield.' a light blush fell over her cheeks as she thumbed the ring absent-mindedly, after a moment she turned the bottom ring to the right from the ring sprung a book made with a blue flame cover but upon opening it the flames are an orangy-red as normal. 'I really hope he's within range.' she thought to herself "Valo." she called hoping to hear a reply back.
If she did she would smile brightly "I wanted to try and do something on my own and so came to a place known as the ancient tower of quinteps. It's in a desert area, with a sandstorm within the fringe, you've likely heard of it by now. I met a crimson lion member but we could really use the additional firepower or I'll be old and grey by the time we get out of here. Oh, if you do come... use a golem there is quicksand as you near the steps inside." she warned him watching as any replies came within the book, her own spoken words appearing. She had called back up for them but she knew it would take a while for Valo to turn up "Taiyo, I called someone to help us get through this endeavour quickly you just need to keep them busy while he turns up." she said to the fire mage, she was watching as the enemy was trying to snap and them while those tangled were trying to bite through the wisteria, luckily, for now, they weren't able to.

As I am a substitute for the dungeon I only had to post 1.5k words under the appropriate rules Valo has been called in as aid, after talking to Ard it has been decided that as Valo is a substitute the sub rules take priority over reinforcement rules and so he can enter right away. The use of Twin Souls is just for flavor in this case as a way for him to enter.
Name of the Ability: On Wings of Butterflies Type & Uses: Flow ¦ 3 uses ¦ 2 overheated Rank & Specialization: Junior ¦ Supplementry construct Mana Cost: 8 ¦ 4 Range & Speed: 25m ¦ 10ms Stats Affected: Not Applicable Description: Turning the key to the left activates the ability attached to the key. The holder can either create a single large butterfly that looks like it has been made out of the petals of a bluebell or can make a set of butterfly wings made out of the petals of bluebells. It doesn't matter which is decided it only allows for two people to be transported at any one time at 10 m/s.
Name of Spell: Living Restraint Elemental Type: Flower ¦ Miasma Rank & Spell Type: Intermediate ¦ Restraint ¦ Healing Range & Speed: 40m ¦ 20 m/s Mana Cost: 20 ¦ 10 Stats Affected: -5 m/s to speed, +6 durability (Self) Applicable Perks: Archangel's Blessing, Tightly Bound, Elemental Oddity Description: Hinota's understanding of restraining has improved as she has spent time studying and understanding her elements that bit more and how to make them work in tandem with each other. Closing her eyes she takes a deep breath holding for a few seconds before releasing it as she does a storm of different coloured vibrant petals seem to enshroud her, upon first thought one might believe that this was meant to hide her presence but this isn't what she has in mind at all as the petals seem to create a tree around 20 meters away from her. Appearing on the lushness of what would normally be lush green leaves would grow beautiful pale purple wisteria and white dangling from the flower petal-like tree. The scent of the purple wisteria smells of lavender while the white wisteria smells of chamomile giving a relaxing atmosphere but this isn't where the debuff takes place, however. If an enemy gets within 20 meters of the petal tree the wisteria creeps forward binding them, this not only slows them by 5m/s but deals junior rank damage due to them being tightly bound by the purple flower, though a person can break free by using clashing rules. By using ammo rules so longs as hino has the correct amount of control she can bind additional people.
The white wisteria, however, react differently from their purple counterpart as if an ally within 20 meters gets injured or are running low it will creep forward as if it was ready to bound them but at the last moment, it will burst the petals vanishing releasing a healing miasma that would float around the ally in question, the miasma itself will smell of cinnamon and will either heal for intermediate damage to their health or mana skin. This spell can also close decently bad wounds with some ease and even regrow things like fingers, toes or a potentially missing ear although isn't yet strong enough to attempt full limbs let alone attempt resurrection of a person. Like the debuffing wisteria she is able to use ammo rules to heal more than one person as long as she has the control needed to do so. The healing aspect of this spell can also actively attempts to cleanse debuffs, curses, hexes, poisons, venoms by using clashing rules. This spell will remain active until Hino herself deactivates it or she runs out of mana.
Type & Uses: Flow ¦ 3 uses ¦ 2 cooldown Rank & Specialization: Junior ¦ Sensory ¦ Communication Mana Cost: 6 ¦ 3 Range & Speed: Within Same Sub-Board (Board if no sub-board) ¦ 10m/s Stats Affected: n/a Description: Turning the bottom ring to the right is how this ability is activated. From the ring springs, a book made with a blue flame cover but upon opening it the flames are an orangy-red as normal. Speaking the name of the person that the wielder wants to speak from creates their name at the front of the book in orangy-red flames. When a connection is made an identical book is created in front of that person with the casters name so they know who is contacting them. As those communicating speak the pages start to fill in with blue flaming text as if being written, this is so facts can be looked over at a later point while the spell is active. As this is only junior currently only one person may be contacted at a time. If used for reinforcements the person being asked must wait 2 rounds after the initial contact has been made before they can enter, as this ability grows stronger it will allow for contacting people in other areas, if contacting people in other areas and requesting aid they must wait 4 rounds after the initial contact has been made before they can enter.

Rushes and blurs were what most of the members of Green Mantis could see as Valo Stark moved throughout the large training battle field. The competitive fire mage was swiftly dodging the physical attacks, weapon attacks, and magic attacks coming from three different mages. A large spinning axe made of pure earth came flying towards him, that he swiftly maneuvered out the way with a simple side step. "Your being to predictable Halgro! But that's some solid power!" he shouted at the mage who launched the axe at him. "Shut up and stand still!" the burly mage shouted back, the fire young fire mage could only smirk in response. Another attack was coming his way, from his left side that he noticed from the corner of his eye. It was a multitude of metal spears meant to overwhelm him with the numbers, but Valo simply starting to backflip back at a really fast and swift pace avoiding every single one of the spears. When the attack finally stoped Valo landed on his hands, doing another flip to put him back on his feet. "Your area of range is getting better Olton!" But as soon as that happened, a slim blue sword came slashing down aiming for his back. But alas Valo saw it coming, and was actually already in a position to counter it, his leg was right against the mages and with a kick the mage holding the sword was tripped onto the ground. "That was a close one Lach! Really good timing!" Valo said to him with a smile, before moving like a blur to go on the offensive.
[break][break]
His first target was Halgro the burly one, within a matter of two seconds Valo not only avoided two incoming boulders of earth coming toward him. But he also closed the distance between him and Halgro, with his superior speed he landed two quick jabs to his upper back holding back his real strength, not wanting to cause serious damage. It hurt the big earth mage, but it wasn't enough to take him reel in pain he was much to durable for that. But a quick elbow to the chest that sent back a few feet was enough. Olton was next coming at Valo with more metal spears, aiming to pierce right through the fire mage. With extremely quick side steps, ducks and dodges he was avoiding them. Till he managed to grab one and pull it right out of Olton's hand, the two went back and forth exchanging blows with the metal spear. But in just a few movements Valo had him beat, tripped him off his feet and pointed the blunt end of the spear to Olton's neck with a smile on his face. "Your weapon proficiency is getting better keep it up." the fire mage said to him.
[break][break]
All three mages that Valo was facing in training got back on their feet, with grunts and huffs but smirks on their face. This training session was normal for them and they did at least twice a week. Valo didn't mind doing it as warm ups, and the three got first hand combat training from him. The three mages were perfect examples of some guys that needed a second chance at life and doing something better with it. Valo took pride in that and his squad, they weren't as fancy as those noble squads. But their meaning Valo would argue would just as much if not more, the fire mage patted them each on the arm. "Good work out today, every time you guys are getting better and sharper. In no time all three of you will be senior ranked knights." Valo gave them some works of encouragement. His roll in his squad in the past year evolved from just another nobody, to the big brother of the squad. He was without a doubt the strongest member of his squad aside from his captain, but he was also probably the best in terms of pure combat ability. He knew his way around a fight like no other.
[break][break]
After that training session Valo would normally take the time to meditate and try to focus his thoughts, usually Agneya his fire spirit would join him for these. But she was either a hit or miss finding his meditation sessions rather boring, since he's just sitting there all day doing nothing. Months ago meditation for Valo was rather difficult coming fresh from his return from Kikka, but with time and healing also some help from new friends and old. His mindset was slowly but surely getting back to normal, he was and forever will be changed by those events but now he was deep into the road of recovery. But his usual meditation time was cut short, when a blue flaming book appeared in front of him with Hinota's name on it. It was a communication spell that Hinota was using to get in contact with him, so it must have been pretty important. [break][break] "Valo.I wanted to try and do something on my own and so came to a place known as the ancient tower of quinteps. It's in a desert area, with a sandstorm within the fringe, you've likely heard of it by now. I met a crimson lion member but we could really use the additional firepower or I'll be old and grey by the time we get out of here. Oh, if you do come... use a golem there is quicksand as you near the steps inside." [break][break] Were the words written on the book, and without question Valo stood up. "AGNEYA! WE GOTTA GO!" he called out to his fire spirit, who was nearby flying with some of the birds in the trees nearby. She came shooting over with a puzzled look on her face. "What are you talking about, we're not scheduled for a mission today." she said in a angsty voice. Valo cracked his fingers as he was about to use a new golem spell he had yet to use in the field. "This one should be of good use today, Taiyō!" Blue flames started to form and shape creating a majestic giant wolf like golem. "Hino needs our help, she's stuck in the Ancient Tower of Quinteps." he responded back to the spirit. Her face had a slight mixture of curiosity and concern. "Is Hino in danger?" she asked taking her seat on his shoulder. "Mmmmm maybe just a little bit, I don't think it's anything to drastic. She seems more stuck than anything.""Well let's get going then!"
[break][break]
Without wasting a beat they both hoped on the golem, as it took off running at it's full speed through the air. Like his dragon golems the Taiyō was capable of flight for easier transportation. The Tower of Quinteps was a dungeon that Valo had already survived through, so he knew how dangerous it could be if you weren't prepared for it. While Hinota was more than capable of handling things, since she wasn't an offensive mage getting out of there was going to be difficult for her. She needed some extra fire power, Valo was the perfect person for the job. Getting into the Fringe he knew there was going to be a sandstorm coming up. "Agneya brace yourself for the sandstorm." "The what!?" was all she managed to say before the sandstorm hit them, and somehow someway they ended up at the front of the dungeon. [break][break]
Floor 1
[break][break]
"How did a sandstorm bring us here!?" [break][break] "Magic is weird like that." [break][break] Just like he remembered it, the place was overrun with nature and green. Th doors to the place opened wide, and Valo using a mana tether commanded his golem to just charge through. The friendly reminder of the quicksand was much appreciated from Hinota, Valo remembered the first time he stepped foot in here and Genesis was the one to step into the sand, getting a good laugh from him and Hans. Those were some fond memories, the three did get quite a few adventures together. Once past the quick sand, Valo ended his golem spell. If his memories were correct the forward path leads to a dark cave that his golem would struggle to fit inside, so he had no choice but to end it for now. [break][break] But now this meant he could use his speed and just blitz through the cave, sprinting through at full speed he noticed all the evil green mushroom monsters were taken care of. That was good enough for him, just meant less he had to actually worry about. A disgusting smell hit his nose and soon enough his memory of this place started to come in again, he had to follow that stench to a small opening in order to leave. Be it the miasma and pores and mushrooms, but that place just had a wild smell to it. One that he did not miss at all, but luckily sunlight was near ahead. He dashed on ahead right through the opening, now following the scent of lavender, wisteria and cinnamon with a smirk on his face.
[break][break]
Floor 2 | Room 2
[break][break]
He knew that scent like the back of his hand, Hinota was nearby and as he dashed in his ki senses alerted him to not only her presence but others as well including the enemies. From what he could tell with his Ki, Hinota was on top of a giant mushroom safe from harm with someone else. That was probably the Crimson Lion she told him about with the communication spell, other than those two there was quite a bit of enemies on the ground to deal with. The las time he was here he was careful enough to not kill any of the dinosaurs he faced, they are rare creatures just defending their home. There was no need for blood shed, and Valo would make sure of that. Agneya would waste no time leaving Valo to deal with the twenty something mana beast threats and go to say hello to Hinota. "Hi Hino! We came to help! Valo didn't get lost this time, which is rare! He usually gets lost sometimes." [break][break] Valo using his full speed would just dash right into the fight, his physical strength alone was enough to do some serious damage but not outright kill these creatures. The first Falkhasaur came charging towards him and the fire mages right fist quickly met it's jaw knocking it back and knocking it out as well. The second one met his left elbow strike that knocked it out as well. A third one came jumping in front of him and Valo kicked it back before it managed to hit the ground, spinning his body landing a spinning roundhouse on another Falkhasaur making it four. [break][break] Right after that he moved like a blur towards the next Falkhasaur, landing a right elbow strike to it's neck. Using his ki senses, he knew another one was coming from behind taking a step back without looking he did a behind the back left elbow strike knocking out that one as well. He wasn't finished yet though, in fact he was just scratching the surface of getting started. He hopped into the air and did an arial backspin kick on another Falkhasaur knocking it back a few meters knocking out his seventh one. He landed on the ground did a half step avoiding the snapping jaws of another mana beast, and with a quick right fist pushed that one back a few meters. Now finally having a few seconds to rotate his shoulder and stretch a little bit. A Falkhasaur tried to take advantage of this opening and ran towards him with it's jaw open, Valo parried it by slapping the side of it's jaw to the side and landing a knee strike to it's jaw as well. Right after that he dashed towards the next one and before it could it even react a left fist connected to it's body knocking it back making that the tenth that he knocked out now. Starting to rotate his neck now to get a stretch in. [break][break] His ki senses alerted him once again that two more were headed towards him, he dodged the tail swipe of one of them by ducking very low then going into a backflip to avoid he tail slam of another. Landing on his feet again right next to the first Falkhasaur, he landed a strong short round kick to it's side knocking it back. Using the same leg he brought it up and then down again landing an axe kick on the other Falkhasaur. Making the total knocked out now twelve and counting. He went on the offensive again dashing toward the next one dodging it's jaw attacks, and hit it with an open palm strike. He spun his body to the right avoiding another charge from another beast, slammed his elbow to it's stomach causing it to fall over. And another Falkhasaur ran towards him, that Valo bent real low to face in an uppercut position he released at the perfect timing landing a strong uppercut attack on the dino sending it back as well. Making the total fifteen, now that there was room and space to breathe. "Oi Crimson Lion kid! Show me what you can do! Hi Hino!" he shouted to the Crimson Lion leaving five of the Falkhasaur left, and ending his sentence finally saying hi to Hinota while waving at her.

[attr="class","silasreescroll"] FLOOR 2 ROOM 2[break] Leonard wasn't having the time of his life right now. Outside of people leaving him and his cousin alone in the middle of the dungeon, the weird snail mushroom thingamambobs weren't exactly the most amicable tipe. Not to mention the fact that they were gross as hell. Nevertheless. He would take the backseat and keep an eye out on the entrance while the others managed to clear the whole room so that they could proceed onwards. An then to top it all off, he got himself lost in the weird jungle tower thanks to all the weird caves and the other things around jumbling his senses up. He would have a nice go moving around and run in circles while the others went ahead to the next room of the blasted dungeon.
[break][break]
"I SWEAR I WILL BURN THE PLACE DOWN." He roared, charging ahead to eventually find his way to where he was actually supposed to go. Not before having tripped in mud one to many times and having completely exhausted his patience for the place. Out of all the assignments they could have gotten it had to be the muddy damp forest every time. Why does it always have to be the muddy swamp forest? Why can't it be a nice beach or a flat plain? Well he would have to stop running in circles eventually. Damn it all, he lost sight of his cousin for one second and here he was.
He would eventually trip yet again and fall face first into the mud again, this time in the shadow of a fairly tall mushroom. He would have thrown a tantrum right then and there but he was SO PISSED that he didn't even think about it. "Oh that's IT." He grumbled, getting back up. His grimoire flew out of its cover and ignited the youngster's mana. He was just about ready to destroy everything. [break][break]
"THERE WILL BE NOTHING LEFT OF THIS BUT A SMOLDERING CRA-" the boy stopped mid-cast as he got ready to blast a huge hole in the side of the building or whatever was left of it. Finding Taiyo in the company of two individuals he hadn't seen before. One was a pretty lady and the other was a fairly well build dude who was punching dinosaur without much of a problem. "...ter." He would conclude, his grimoire lowering. Outside of Taiyo flying with some kind of bell wings, probably a spell cast from either of the new faces, the two mages seemed wildly more powerful than the other two that were accompaining them before. He was now even more visibly confused by the place. How the hell did they get there without him noticing? He really needed to work on his orienteering experience.
[break][break] "Uh, uhm. Hello!?" He would chime at the lady, waving his arm to catch her eye. "I'm with him." Leonard said soon after, pointing at his little cousin floating about. "Leonard Vermillion. I was...you know what I have no time for this. I got lost for a while in this blasted tower and I swear by the gods it's almost as if the place is trying to get me." He would dryly comment, glancing at the other guy making short work of a lot of dinosaurs infesting that particular area of the place. Who were these people
Turning over to Taiyo, he got on the ready. "So, what exactly did I miss?" He asked, hoping for a TLDR but instead getting more action straight away. Some of the leftover dinos seemed to have noticed him and had begun charging his location. Thankfully, he was pissed enough to notice the bullshing barreling down towards him from afar, which in turn had him spin around and kick one of the dinos square in the head, while in the meantime he pepared to engage the second one coming at him by punching it with his lava arms.
[attr="class","silasreescroll"]The girl had introduced herself as Hinota. She knew who he was before he formally introduced himself. Can’t really say Taiyo was surprised by that since he was the heir to a higher noble family and people who knew that family would know him due to that. It was both a good and bad thing at times but it was what it was. Couldn’t exactly complain about that since it came with the good and the bad like most things in life. Hinota went on to speak about the dino creatures, stating that they were on the verge of extinction so killing them would end their existence which would not be ideal. Such creatures and their habitats should be studied to which the young vermillion agreed. He admired the fact that someone else thought about nature and it’s creatures the way he did. I totally agree. I don’t think we should be the end of its race. They should live on and be studied so we can have more knowledge of such beautiful creatures. The fact that they’re thought to be extinct is all the more reason that they should be studied. Maybe we can even find out how they’re still around.
[break][break]
The golden dawn mage had told him that she wouldn’t be much help to him offensively which he understood that not everyone was made for combat. She opted to remain on a mushroom out of harm's way which was smart since he wouldn’t have to worry about her there. She then added that she specialized in support magic. All magic is beautiful. It’s not about what kind of magic you have but how you use it. It’s all important even if it’s not meant for combat. That’s the beauty of magic. The fact that you made wings manifest on me is so cool. I’ve never flown before and I must say it’s nice. Support however you can, any bit helps.
[break][break]
It was here that the young vermillion heir stopped to formally introduce himself, trying to be as polite as possible. He could see that it made her smile to which she then said it was a pleasure to meet him. It’s a pleasure to meet you as well, Hinota. You can call me Taiyo by the way. We’re around the same age and it feels weird to be called Lord Vermillion by another magic knight.
[break][break]
Hinota started speaking to herself or to someone who wasn’t there which made Taiyo raise his eyebrow in confusion. Did she have communication magic? That would be so cool. He had never come across anyone with that type of magic before. She then turned her attention to the heir to notify him of her calling for help which he nodded. Thank you. I’ll try my best to keep them occupied without hurting them too much.
[break][break]
Using the wings she had given him, he would bring himself back down to ground level and prepare for the Dino-like creatures but not before the one she called arrived and made short work of the beast. Taiyo thought reinforcements arrived rather quickly but then again when it came to magic, anything was possible. After taking out most of the beasts, he called out to Taiyo, calling him Crimson Lion kid. Seeing that this wasn’t the time or place to try to correct the guy that had shown up, Taiyo raised his grimoire in preparation just when his cousin showed up from wherever he had wandered off to. It was really a surprise that Leo was the one to get lost considering that he came on this dungeon raid to make sure that Taiyo would stay on track and not be lost due to his knack for adventuring. How did it end up like that? He wanted to know what happened so Taiyo guessed he could summarize it for his cousin. Well, you got lost, I found this room and some Dinos and then Hinota showed up and she gave me these cool wings. We had a small chat then she called for reinforcements and the rest is history. All caught up now? Good, now it’s time to fight but don’t kill them. They’re rare and on the verge of extinction. They must be studied.
[break][break]
With his grimoire ready, Taiyo thought of which spell he should use next. He had taken one Dino down already, he just needed to do it again. The pages turn to the spell he used most frequently. Solar Magic: Solaris Illumination! As the light surrounded him, he prepared to blast the same two Dino’s that his cousin striked. The sunlight dissipated and the ball of light formed in his hand before being released as a beam striking the first one, dealing junior damage. By ammo rules, Taiyo fired a second beam at the second dino dealing junior damage as well. Without missing a beat, he charged at them and kicked the first one, taking it down then punching the second one doing the same thing. As they were taken down physically, they were still alive which was what the heir wanted. Two more dino’s were left.
[break][break]
Jumping back, Taiyo thought about what would best bring down the raging beasts. Seeing one of them charge at him, Taiyo had to quickly start casting his next attack spell. The pages turned and ended on the intended spell, glowing. Solar Magic: Solaris Fist! A fist of mana three times the size of Taiyo’s natural’s fist formed around his actual fist. As the Dino Creature got close, he pulled back his fist and then sent it right into its nose, sending the beast flying. Rushing after it, he karate chopped it twice. There was one left. Last one. He dashed at it delivering a punch to it’s ribcage, following up with another punch. The dino-type monster twisted it’s body and struck it’s tail at Taiyo, hitting him back dealing 75% damage to his mana skin. The attack sent Taiyo back slightly which he recovered from and jumped into the sky, bringing his heel down on the beast, putting it on the floor which he followed up with a strike to its head. They’re all down. We should continue moving to get out of here as fast as possible.
[break][break]
ROOM 3 - RIVER PATH
[break][break]
Seeing the dinos were down, Taiyo smiled. Hinota, we took them down without killing them. He then turned his attention to the guy that showed up. The name is Taiyo Vermillion by the way. It’s nice to meet you. Seeing the next room up ahead, Taiyo started walking towards it. Let’s move on and get out of this dungeon. As he entered the next room, he noticed just how wet the floor was. There was water nearby and there could be stuff living in there. Taiyo was fascinated by what could possibly be living in the water but he knew he was on duty and had no time for such exploration. Keeping on his path to find the other room, continued moving through the room slowly, making sure the others were behind him.
[break]
TL;DR: Uses Solaris Illumination to deal Junior Damage to the 2 Falkhasaurs that Leo did 1/2 Jr damage to and then physically hit them both for 1/2 jr damage. Hits the third with Solaris Fist to deal Jr Dmg then hits it twice both hits causing 1/2 jr dmg each and then hits the last Falkhasaur 4 times for 1/2 jr dmg each but took 75% damage to Mana skin. Travels to the next room.

Hinota remained calmly sat on the overgrown mushroom, almost looking like a fairy princess between her clothing and the bluebell wings on her back. She listened to Taiyo as he spoke the kind and warm smile she wore ever constant on her face, more so, as he agreed with her that they shouldn't be killed. She knew even within the magic knights there would be plenty of people that would kill them simply because it was easier to deal with a threat not taking much else into consideration. It was quite sad for her to think about, but then, most violence was due to her pacifism even if she understood it was required in some circumstances such as food and defence. Still, it didn't really sit well with her it was just a fact that she had to accept. She was just glad to see that the other was wise about such things.
His next words to her seemed somewhat surprising though as he brought up that all magic was beautiful, she hadn't brought up that she believed her magic was weak or ugly just that she wasn't an offensive mage. She was wondering how he put those two together and got her thinking her magic was ugly. She knew her magic was beautiful, Valo had told her it was a representation of her soul. He often called her soul beautiful so she guessed it lined up but she knew there was that darkness she hid from everyone, even him but she never saw it in her magic and wondered why that was. Perhaps, it was because she fought to keep it deep down and hidden under the fragile mask she showed the world. She often wondered just how close she was to having it shattering and everyone seeing her for who she was really.
"I know my magic is beautiful, I have never thought otherwise." she said bringing her sleeve covered hand to her mouth as she chuckled "I was letting you know where my specialities lay, it wouldn't be smart to ask me to fight like a Crimson Lion or a Green Mantis when I am not geared towards such magic." she said explaining why she had notified him that she wouldn't be any use offensively "Besides, I am a pacifist. I do not believe in doing harm to any living thing. Yes, I am aware that it is required at times, but, I personally am not going to be taking part in that cycle. I would rather concentrate on making the world brighter and healing the pain of others." she said to the other her eyes looking to the petal tree she had made, knowing it acted oddly but she was fine with it.
When he brought up the wings she showed him the item she used to create the wings "This is how I made those wings, I know I can strengthen the magic as it resonates with my own, however, I have yet to figure out how." she said sheepishly, she blushed looking at the key tenderly "The person I called to aid us gave me this, it is the first gift I was given by someone not of my family." she confessed, of course, she had been gifted her captain's old mantle but that was different. She had been given that on a professional level she believed. The key she kept with her was the first gift she was given by someone who she loved with every fibre of her being and so treasured it. "As I said I specialize in defence and healing, the person I called well... you'll see soon enough." she chuckled.
She shook her head to his request "I could never, it would be impolite of me." now that she thought about it the only person she called by their name, well, the preferred abbreviation of it was Valo. She had no idea why that was, it could have been because of her upbringing and that he was a commoner but then she would always put miss or mister in front of a person's name. Valo was different, she had never had any issue calling him by Valo, perhaps it was just because they were closer than most. It would also explain why she never minded that he called her Hino instead of her full name. Whatever the reason was she just couldn't see herself calling Taiyo by his name, he was a higher noble and still a stranger to her.
Just as he said he would keep them occupied another person entered, it wasn't Valo's voice but they seemed well and truly irritated at something. She waved a little in return not sure how to take the other Crimson Lion who had stated he had been there with Taiyo. She hadn't seen another when she had passed the mushroom snail-like creatures and she checked that room before going through the hole so was questioning where he was hiding. "I see." she said calmly not sure how to take the entire situation. "You are quite the hot head aren't you" she said unsure as to how to take the other, it was then she saw another person rush in but he hadn't stopped for idle chit chat "He's with me." she said with a smile watching as Valo made quick work of some of the dinosaurs. Her eyes going to Agneya as she flew up to her.
It was then she held out her arms and hugged onto the fire spirit as if she was a doll, this wasn't exactly uncommon as she had done this since the first day she met her. Of course, at first, she had the same fiery temper she showed everyone but it melted away quickly as like Valo had noticed there was no reason to act competitively with the flower mage. That and Valo had scolded her for doing such a thing. "I'm glad he didn't get lost Agneya, I'm also glad to see you both are well." her tone was as gentle as it normally was. "I've yet to see him get lost when it is to see me, I swear he can smell my spells from miles away." she chuckled knowing that wasn't the case but some of the scents her spells had were unique.
Soon enough Valo started talking to Leonard and Taiyo about defeating the last five before calling up to her "Hello Valo, would you mind helping me down?" she would ask knowing the magic of the key had run out and it would take a while before she could use it again. As she was so high up she knew there was no way she was getting down without help, if she tried she would damage the mushroom and would end up hurting herself, neither of which she really wanted to do. "I will end up hurting myself again if I jump." she had learned her lesson from when she jamp into the wedding well without a way to cushion her landing. She of course could make a bed of flower petals to do the same job as she had asked the fire mage but she wanted a reason to be close to him.
As she was awaiting Valo's help she didn't hear anything Taiyo had said to her as he entered the next area and bit her lip "Valo, is there anything dangerous nearby?" she asked, it was clear she was concerned that they were willing to wander off on their own without making sure that everyone else was with them, she could only sigh in frustration "Are all people with heat based magics like this Valo?" she asked knowing that he himself could rush off at times but unlike the two crimson lions she knew that he had means of protecting himself, she did worry that he didn't have any way of healing himself. She truly worried about if another daemon attack happened and she wasn't around to help how he would do such a thing, she was well aware she wasn't the only healing or defence specialist within the magic knights but this was the man she cherished so she would worry about him.

It seemed right after Valo's call to see what the Crimson Lion kid could do, not only him but another made their offensive pressure known. With a dynamic sequence of attacks from both mages the rest of the historic mana beasts were knocked out. It was a display of physical attacks and heated based magic all pretty similar to Valo's overall style of combat. The fire mage had a grin on his face watching it all on display, the two mages definitely looked promising. They both looked rather similar in terms of appearance, matching red hair and crimson lions uniforms. There could be a chance they were related especially given there natures. One did seem to be little older than the other though, so perhaps they were indeed siblings.
[break][break]
But he next turned his attention over to Hinota and Agneya, he snapped his finger and spiral of blue flames created one of his dragon golems Massao. A long blue dragon that Valo often used for travel and battle purposes, Hinota was pretty familiar with the spell. He hopped on the dragon and flew up to greet the flower mage when she called for him. Agneya pressing her tiny index finger to her lips, in a heavy thought. "That's true when it comes to you, he always seems to find his way rather easily. I wonder why?" she said out loud but the question as mostly for herself. Valo had Massao flew itself right next to the mushroom that Hinota was on, and held his hand out for her to take. She would just have to take a simple step onto the golem and take a seat. Once she did that the golem would fly towards the next room. "There is another really large mana beast in the next room, that lurks in the water." Valo answered Hinota's question standing on top of his golem. "It's actually quite massive and incredible to look at. But it will attack us on sight." Valo said using his arms to give a poor visual description of how big the upcoming beast was with a silly grin on his face.
[break][break]
"Mmmmmm I guess so. It's just in our nature to be fired up. Charlotte was always good at keeping her serene calmness though. I rarely ever saw her get fired up or reckless. She said she had her moments though, but I never saw them. But yea the most of us...we just like to go in blazing! They'll be fine with us here! No need to worry!" Valo said with a wider grin on his face.

[break][break]
As Valo's golem flew into the nest area, his hands were on his hips with a wide smile on his face. His ki senses had already alerted him to what was coming, so he was already prepared to face the giant water beast. But now he had to let the others know as well. Agneya seeing Valo smile so big started to get annoyed with him. "Hey! what are you smiling about!?" Valo looked back at her and Hinota with excitement in his eyes. "She's coming." was all he said. He then turned his attention to the two Crimson Lion boys and called out to them from above. "Nice to meet you both! Taiyo and friend! I also have a golem named Taiyo! What a coincidence! BUT ANYWAY THERE IS A LARGE WATER MONSTER DOWN BELOW, THAT WILL SHOW ITSELF ANY MINUTE! PREPARE YOURSELVES!!" Valo shouted at the top of his lungs so his words could reach the Crimson Lions members.
[break][break]
Valo started to stretch his arms and that usually meant he was about to do something a little crazy. The large body of the Plaeness Mana Beast could be seen in the waters, it's direction was obviously headed towards the young Crimson Lion boys. "Hino I'll bring us down so you can provide proper defenses as you see fit. If we need it, maybe." he said using a mana tether to have his golem change it's course to head down towards the giant mana beast. Their position was coming from above, so Valo was aiming to attack the beast from a high vantage point. But they had to be quick about it! Valo then with a grin on his face, positioned himself to jump off the golem he was waiting for the right time. And with a little patience it came, as soon as the Plaeness Mana Beast showed it's head from the water, Valo would jump off of his golem without warning! The drop wasn't to far as he landed right on the Mana beast's head, stopping the beast from attacking the two Crimson Lion members. Valo cocked his right fist back as intense blue flames started to coil around his arm in the shape of a long dragon. "Dai-San Tenka!" Valo then slams his right fist right into the Plaeness Mana Beast creating a large and powerful blue flame impact. Effectively taking the large beast out for the count, Valo jumped off the head and landed on the solid parts of the ground then looking back to make sure the beast was actually finished.
[break][break]
He started to dust off his hands, with a satisfied smile on his face. "Well that was much easier than last time." he said out loud.

[attr="class","silasreescroll"] FLOOR 2 ROOM 3 - River Path[break] Leonard was strong enough to knock out the two dinos coming for him, just like he was asked to do. The young crimson lion would then take a moment of respite to clean himself off from leaves and all the other stuff that was getting stuck on his uniform ever since he got lost in this damn tower. He had been scuffed up and scratched a number of times, but thankfully for him, his overabundance of mana would slowly but surely recharge his mana skin back into top conditions. He was still a little lost as to who the other super mega powerful mage was but hey he was happy to have him along.
[break][break]
"Call me Leo!" He roared at the guy up above as he chose to exchange presentations, while he also conjured a massive dragon of blue flames and invited the golden dawn to take a spot on its back. Perhaps the two were dating or something, considering how the guy zipped past to the river without asking neither Vermillion if they'd like a lift. At the very least Taiyo had wings right now. "Looks like I'll have to walk, as usual." He mumbled, tagging along. Considering that a large blue fire dragon was hard to lose he wouldn't have a problem hop skip and jump to the next place together with the others.
[break][break]
"WAIT THERE'S A WHAT?!" the boy stopped on the shallow end of the river as he heard the guy mouth something about a big fish thing in the water. Leonard quickly scanned the area with his eyes in search of the supposed monster, but he wasn't seeing anything yet. Never the less, seeing as the green mantis guy was more than powerful enough to wipe anything that ever moved around there he could instead focus on support. He had the spell for the occasion and with the water around the place people couldn't get mad at him for using his magic this time around.
[break][break]
"LAVA MAGIC: CALIDUS SPHAERA!!" As soon as the beast made itself known Leonard reacted almost instantly. His grimoire finally released all its pent up aggression in the form of a superheated ball of lava forming in Leonard's gloved hand. "EAT THIS!" The teen quickly lobbed the glob of lava as hard and fast as he could, aiming for the thing's head. He didn't need to damage it much, he just needed to get it distracted long enough for the blue fire mage on dragonback to get a safe opening to attack. [break][break]
Considering how easy the other guy struck the mana beast down his plan to distract it had been succesful. Leonard was somewhat impressed with just how easily the mantis guy was able to deal with all the weird monsters around the place. He was almost jealous but seeing someone so strong also reminded him that he too could get to that level if he put in enough work on his own. [break][break]

[attr="class","silasreescroll"]Hinota spoke on the fact that she always thought her magic was beautiful. She added more to her stance on not being combat fitted with her magic. What was extremely surprising was the fact that she was a pacifist. Taiyo never thought he’d meet a pacifist who was also a magic knight. How would she survive conflict if she was alone? What ever answer there was to that question, she was surely amazing. It couldn’t be easy standing up against the harming of others in this line of work. A peaceful solution to most things could change the world. Quite an admirable look on life. I think the world needs more people like you; wanting to make it a brighter place.
[break][break]
Hinota explained the wings and how they were made from an item she carried. That item was super cool in Taiyo’s eyes as he had never seen something so cool. It made wings! It gave him the ability to fly. What could be cooler than that? This is super cool. I wish you good luck in figuring out how to strengthen it with your magic. That would be epic. The excited smile on the young vermillion’s face grew even wider. She then spoke on the person she contacted and how he was the first person to give her a gift outside her family. That was pretty cute. This guy must really mean a lot to her and she must mean a lot to him. She ended her statement about him with that he would see soon enough. Well then, I’ll see when he gets here.
[break][break]
To his request to address him as Taiyo, she refused, calling it impolite. He could understand how it would be for some people with how they were raised but wasn’t the wishes of that person more important to how you should address them? It was quite interesting to say the least how she brought up politeness as most people would just call him Taiyo from his request. He could respect her stance, after all, they only just met. Very well. You can call me what makes you feel most comfortable.
[break][break]
In the other room which Taiyo had lead the charge, he continued moving as Valo yelled out that he had a golem also named Taiyo. That was quite the shock for the young Crimson Lion cub since his name was a result of his mother exploring different cultures and becoming fond of one in particular; naming Taiyo after their greatest champion. Even so, he thought his other name Leonidas was greater than Taiyo and so he preferred not to be called by it. More importantly, Valo warned the cub of the manabeast in the water. As the beast appeared, Leo created a lava rain attack which was followed by Valo jumping on it, taking it down with an attack of blue fire. Taiyo could tell that Valo was quite powerful with the way it didn’t take him much against the manabeast. Good going there. Quite the powerhouse, aren’t you? Also, Blue Fire is epic.
[break][break]
Slowing down a bit, he’d look over to Hinota thinking about her magic. Maybe she could help him restore his mana skin. Hinota, since you specialize in healing magic, could you restore my mana skin? If she did restore his mana skin, he’d smiled. Thank you. We should proceed to the next room together. It’s time to finish this.
[break][break]
ROOM 4 - Boss Room
[break][break]
Heading towards the next room in the dungeon, Taiyo was greeting with roars so powerful they shook him. With the combined screeches of whatever creatures were inside, a great ball of dust rose obstructing the Crimsom Lion Cub’s vision. The boy decided to block his face to protect his eyes as well as close his eyes until he felt a powerful gust of wind. Upon opening his eyes, he realized that the dust was gone. After moving his hand from his face, his eyes landed on two magnificent beasts. A flying mana beast and another dino looking one. They were facing off which looked amazing but it also was quite dangerous. What do we do? Who do we help? You think we have to fight both?
[break][break]
Watching the two beasts go at it, he got his grimoire ready. While his grimoire flipped its pages, he decided which beast was going to take the blast. I say we strike that one first. Taiyo pointed at the dinosaur looking manabeast. The pages of his grimoire landed on the spell he wanted to use as he called out its name. Solar Magic: Solaris Illumination! As Taiyo pointed out his hands towards the beast, the sun power behind him moved from being bright to not there, the solar energy being placed to fire from his palms. He sent the blast at beast, successfully hitting it, dealing junior rank damage. I think that got its attention. It does not look happy.
