With the Water Grand Mana Zone no longer under occupation by Diamond, things have started to return to normal at the Water Temple, great festivals, events to show the power of Clover, and impromptu theatre performances. The place was alive and well as the once bland and grey sea now looked vibrant and healthy. The leader of the temple and the ruler of this undersea utopia came to an accord on allowing outsiders back into the seabed city and even train inside the temple, but on the condition that they help with restoration if needed.
But something is happening beneath the depths of the Seabed...something that nobody was ready for.
The people of the undersea city have invited Magic Knights, researchers, and envoys back down to the city to celebrate. All is well and fine until a magic knight team led by the enigmatic researcher, Dio of the Purple Orca, discovered a section of the Water Temple that has been significantly altered during the wartime occupation. A depression in the lowest level was excavated to reveal a staircase made of orichalculm with weird flameless torches lining the 2 meter tall by 2 meter wide walls. Dio led his party down and what they found was something...ancient…A great city lie beneath the temple and city proper where the buildings still stood and water still flowed, it was damp and warm as they investigated the landing the staircase led out to. As they looked out upon the horizon they noticed that the tower that stood out in the center of the vast city was emanating a blazing blue light shining with such an intensity that Dio penned it as crystalized fire. As the party stepped towards the edge of the landing a great creature rose up from the canyon below. The creature was so frightening that the other members of the party ran in fear back up the staircase leaving Dio there to face off against the creature.
Returning to the surface of the Water Temple the party of the cowardly magic knights all began to talk amongst themselves as they did not know what to do...a Surprise welcomed by a yelp as the knights saw Dio come back up from the depths. Simple words were exchanged before Dio simply led the team back out of the Temple and to an envoy.
It was time for conquest…
Aris Avalon and Dio Diamante sat at the Royal Road Tavern in the bustling tourist city. The place was rented out for the day as the request they sent out for aid had been met with a confirmation of who would be joining them that day for the conquest expedition in the Water Temple. These two men hated the waiting game almost as much as they hated Diamond...it was not easy to sit still while riches and mystery were beneath the waves.
REQUIREMENTS FOR INTRO: As your party arrives one by one in the Large tourist port of Neyes, please take this intro post (no need for more than 500 words each) to explain how your character has received the summons for conquest and has been hired by Aris and Dio (Pictures Below)
[attr="class","florencetext"] Lydia would wake up early in the morning letting out a sigh. There was so much work to do around the base but the pink haired mage had no time to do any of it herself. Instead she had to do a favor for her family one they signed her up for with out asking. Apparently her family owed these two researcher a favor and they called it in for help exploring a new part of the underwater temple. Of course the glass mage was getting paid for the trouble but she was no fool and knew she was only getting a small amount with the rest going to her family not that it mattered much to her. Getting out of bed she would quickly take a shower before getting dressed in her normal outfit however today she didn't put her hair in a braid and instead let it flow freely. She would double check to make sure she had everything she needed before heading out on foot to the town. [break][break] The crimson lion spatial mage hadn't been to the town so she was stuck walking there herself which didn't take to long. However Lydia had never been to the two herself so it took her a bit to find the place they were all suppose to meet up at stepping inside she would look around before making her way over to the two men. "I assume you two are in charge of this little adventure?"

[attr=class, cyrustext]Cyrus yawned as he stepped outside of his family's home on their property in the Forsaken Region. Normally he would stay back at the headquarters of his Magic Knight squad, the Golden Dawn, whenever he needed a place to rest, but circumstances had changed the night before when he stopped by to visit his sister and parents (though he was still getting used to the idea of having any sort of sibling in the first place). During his visit, the head of the Elwood family stopped by to tell them that he had recently been contacted by some contacts he was vaguely acquainted with from his own time in the Magic Knights. The two had apparently been having difficulties in their latest endeavor; the excavation of a mysterious city discovered beneath the Undersea Temple. Whatever had happened the day it was discovered had been sufficient to frighten off all but one of the Knights present, Dio, who he was off to meet.
Seeing it as an opportunity to improve the reputation of the Elwood family name, the head decided to ask Cyrus if he would be willing to assist in dealing with whatever matters had arose in the ruins. Of course he phrased it differently (something about using it as a chance for Cyrus to see wonders the likes of which he had never seen before, or something to that effect), but the sap wizard had known his family head for long enough to be certain he had no interest in Cyrus' own. Still, he was legitimately curious about what this oceanic civilization was like. Plus he was interested in seeing what could cause so many knights to bail out of the situation as well.
Travel was a non-issue, thankfully. Since it had been fairly early in the evening when he had accepted the job last night, he was able to procure the services of a wagon to bring him to Neyes, where he was to meet Dio and an associate of his named Aris at a tavern in order to discuss their upcoming job. The trip was uneventful, which had Cyrus feeling a little superstitious; though not normally the sort to believe in such things, he did often feel that things had to go wrong a certain amount of times in a day before it could be considered complete. And with nothing going wrong so far, chances were it would happen once they got to the ruins.
Still, the journey to the Royal Road Tavern was complete, and Cyrus stepped off of the buggy and paid the driver for his services before heading on inside. It wasn't very busy, as he was told would be the case; the two researchers had rented out the entire building for this discussion. He also saw someone that he recognized as the new Vice Captain of the Crimson Lions; Lydia, if he recalled correctly.."Sorry if I'm late." Cyrus apologized as he approached the group. "I was able to arrange for travel, but nothing very fast."
Artemis had been informed of a phenomenon. While the Green Mantis was seen as something akin to an outsider among the more glorious Magic Knights squad, the members were at least still kept in the loop of the happenings around the Clover Kingdom. At least, for the most part. The whispers about this Water Temple, however, swept through the Clover Kingdom. People had been invited prior, and some type of celebration had happened. The reports, after that, were hazy. Artemis was not sure who to believe, and it was only by coincidence that this particular mission was received by her own Captain. [break][break]
A request sent out for aid by two men. The names were familiar, though Artemis did not ask her Captain anymore. The man was slowly deteriorating, and Artemis feared that one of these days, he might just snap. No, all the man told her was that these men were looking for capable mages, and to prove her worth, she should volunteer. There was also the fact that it was a Water Temple, where she could be in her own element. [break][break]
Artemis sighed, before following the trail within the town to get to the designated area. The place was empty looking from the outside. A bar, possibly, yet it was silent. An unusual occurrence if there was any. [break][break]
The woman shook her head. It would be better if she focused on the task at hand. From the reports she was able to decipher from the grape vine, this just might be really dangerous. The warning signs were there up in the air, and while rumour-bound, she would not dismiss them. It was best to be safe than sorry, no matter how much of an adrenaline junkie she was.[break][break]
“Hello. I was told by my Captain to report here for this request.” She would say as she opened the door to the establishment. “Artemis Somerset, of the Green Mantis.” With a slight bow, she would glance around, noting the occupants. It seems this will be very interesting, and Artemis could not help but feel a shiver run down her spine. Danger, adventure, and possibly something more. It was the perfect recipe for an adrenaline junkie like Artemis Somerset. [break][break]
Rosalia knew this the moment she signed up to explore the seabed below the Water Grand Mana Zone. And yet, what? The red-haired beauty was many things: a drunkard, a borderline sex-addict, an emotionless bitch, someone who was both a loner and a party girl…but she could put all of her bad qualities in her back pocket when she had to do her job. She found it her one redeeming quality by far, her workaholic nature. She had built it up as a habit to survive back when she ran away from home, picking up three jobs while also juggling training for the Magic Knight exams. A pain, originally, had turned into a little blessing in disguise.
Glancing at her reflection in the mirror, the witch slipped her favorite combat outfit over her mostly naked body, watching as it seemed to fit her curvaceous body like a glove. Mario always did magic with his designs for her. The black latex and leather one-piece never restricted her movement, had her perfect shoe size crafted in, and showed off all of her most admirable curves. It was an awe-inspiring design, one that attracted attention, but it was also imbued with the most basic of mana so that it couldn’t get dirty by mud or blood. Thank fucking god for that. The red-head had sent a letter to ask about how it would withstand sea water, but hadn’t really given it the time to receive a response. An unfortunate miscalculation on her part.
Putting some gloss over her rosy lips, Rosalia packed herself a little backpack of things. Some basic foodstuffs, a bottle of water, a beautiful expensive set of cards, that didn’t belong to her, and a stunning jade stone, that also didn’t happen to belong to her. She had promised to take them with her as a good luck charm. Slipping the small backpack over her shoulder and fastening it below her chest, the woman turned to take a look at how it looked. Well, her ass still looked hella fine. She chuckled and tied her Black Bulls Mantle over her shoulders before walking down to the Black Bulls cafeteria. On a Monday, most of the squad was out on missions, and the Captain was busy with reports…she eyed the ceiling quietly, pausing as she wondered if she should tell him that she was leaving. He had been so against her going...
Rosalia bit her bottom lip, turned on her heels and went over to Malcolm’s office. She knocked on his door before peaking in.
“I’m leaving for the Underwater Exploration mission thing…so erm, yanno, don’t let Aurelia burn the base down while I’m away.” She said quickly as she met her Captain’s golden eyes. Before he could say anything or move she closed the door and made one hell of a mad dash for the transportation mage in the foyer. The boy already seemed to know where he was taking her, which made her life a lot easier.
Rosalia wasn’t quite sure what she expected when someone told her “Underwater region,” but a stunning and bustling city of colors was definitely not it. Had the portal mage not taken her directly in front of the Royal Road Tavern, she probably would’ve been completely and utterly lost. Her heels clicked as she moved inside of the building, pleased when her hair wasn’t wet. She thought she’d be magically breathing while enveloped entirely soaked. What a pleasant surprise.
A bashful grin came over her lips as she spotted two very familiar faces already surrounding a table with three other gentlemen. “My my, you two look as good as ever.” Rosalia complimented Lydia and Artemis as she bowed to the rest of the party. She considered one of them a friend, and the other, a pleasant acquaintance from the exams.
The beauty turned her warm gaze to the men in their group. The one that adorned a Golden Dawn mantle was cute, a bit too young for her, but his magical essence made her raise an eyebrow. She’d never sensed anything quite like that before.
“Rosalia Boreas, kind sirs, here to aid however I can.” She introduced herself as she raised her head and sent a wink towards the older males. Purple Orcas, eh? Well, she was gonna try to aid them however she could.

Aris Avalon, and Dio Diamante would introduce themselves and greet the ones going on the journey...a bit surprised about the size of the group, but Dio just grins for a moment, a look in his eyes before finally snapping back to it.
Dio gives the players a rundown of what he found inside the water temple; Inside the water temple at its lowest level it was discovered that the former occupation forces of diamond had set up some sort of dig site that was littered with old artifacts and broken pieces of technology. Ancient waterlogged grimoire with languages never seen before, mechanical eyeballs, and even weapons and armor made of a mysterious ore that almost looked like rust.
Dio seems hopeful that a small expedition could lead to Clover reaching that next level in superior wartime technology. After all, the daemon threat may be still looming or something more sinister may wait at their borders. Better safe than sorry.
The party is informed of the situation at the Seabed village and of the preliminary findings, but in order to get there, Aris is going to use his transportation spell to get them through the turbulent waters safely.
Once the group arrives, maybe a little more seasick than when they started, Dio will excuse himself from the group as he will make his way to the Water Temple. Aris will guide the party to the Grand Elder, Maxis, and his group of advisors that are very eager to hear about the world Topside since the end of the war. Grand Elder Maxis is particularly interested in the arts and wishes to connect to the ancient twins of song and dance...an old story passed from generation to generation about two Twins that could captivate thousands with simple movements and songs.
There is much free form for you to use here as players and can roleplay it out as you wish. However, unless the requirements are met with what they are looking for, chances are that you will have to repeat this section if it is deemed unsatisfactory. A 500 Word Count post will be needed by each participant to describe their journey to the grand Magic Zone by way of a water spell “The last Voyage” creating a grand ship using supplementary construction spell by the NPC Aris. Once at the seabed and inside the city, the players will have to perform an act of goodwill (a dance, a song, or a piece of art) totaling up to 500 Word Count per player before the seabed city residents agree to let the players navigate the town freely. Aris gives Dio the go-ahead to begin the conquest and the party is ushered towards the Water Temple and told about the depression at the bottom of the temple, and the fight the residents had to endure when the Five Year War ended.
Grand total of 1,000 Words per player. To move on from this area and into the Water Temple .
[attr="class","florencetext"] The pink haired mage didn't have to wait long for the other members of this party to show up almost one after another. The first was a golden dawn mage that went by Cyrus if the rumors and whispers she heard about the kid was correct. There was also talk about him being the next vice captain of golden dawn which was interesting and meant he had to be pretty strong himself. The next mage to show up was someone Lydia knew all to well that of course being Artemis the blonde and white haired beauty from the green mantis. So far it seemed the the little group were all high ranking knights of the order which would hopefully making things easier. The last mage to show up was none other than yet another wonderful looking women that Lydia had worked with before and counted as a friend along with Artemis. The women in question was none other than Rosalia who was wearing an outfit the vice captain couldn't help but like. Not that she would ever wear one herself but it looked good on the women. Lydia would smile at the two female mages before speaking to the red haired mage who gave her a complement. [break][break] Thank you and you look every more beautiful than the evening sun Rosalia. The glass mage wasn't normally one to flirt on missions however this was a family favor which meant that she was free to do as she pleased for the most part she however didn't plan to flirt to much even if red heads were a weakness of hers. She would then force as the two men gave the run down on what they found and of course it linked back to diamond in someway it always did. As the two men spoke about the weapons and armor they also found it was clear why her family was interested in sending one of there own to the place. This was of course to secure some of the items for themselves. Once the talking was finished Lydia would follow the two men outside where Aris would summon a huge ship made out of water. It made sense after all they needed someone way to get into the water temple. The vice captain had never been on a boat in her life before so she would look at the green mantis mage before following her lead on getting onto the boat. Lydia always found this type of magic strange after all they were standing on water but they also weren't getting wet. As the boat started to move Lydia would stumble a bit before regaining her balance one she actually got use to the movement of the boat so would manage to be able to talk around however it was nowhere near as fast as her normal speed. [break][break] She would then walk of to the edge of the boat looking down at the sea. It felt strange after all she grew up in the royal captain and had never been on a boat in her life. Yet here she was on a boat heading for a temple under water. See as she really has nothing to do but wait while they arrived she would keep looking down at the water spotting fish that she didn't know what they were. However she would spot a shark at one point and while she had never been to out on the sea before she had read about them in a book one time. She would then look at Artemis waving for the water mage to come over to her assuming she did Lydia would start to speak to her. Hey since you family is huge on fishing I was wondering if maybe you could tell me about the types of fish we see on the way? Assuming the women agreed Lydia would give her a smile while listening to her talk. After a while of listening and looking Lydia would spot what she thought was a huge fish a bit of ways away from the boat that was even bigger than the boat. She would then quickly point to it. What's that one I've never saw or heard about fish being that huge. Lydia would use this as a way to pass the time before they ended up getting to the temple. [break][break] As the vice captain stepped of the boat she was more than a little happy to be back on fresh land. Lydia would start looking around the town it was very beautiful town. The towns people were of course looking the new comes which she couldn't blame them for after all they were more than likely the first group of magic knights to come to this town in ages. The glass magic was ready to get the place they were talking about however it seemed that before they were able to move further into the town each of them had to a preform an act of goodwill. Seeing as how it was needed to move on Lydia had no problem doing so. However she would pause for a moment thinking about what she could do before turning to face Artemis. If you want we can sing a song together? Assuming the water mage agreed Lydia would hold out her hand for the green mantis mage to take. So I assume you've heard because of you before. I'll start just follow my lead if I tap your hand once with my finger sing your part. Once I tap if twice that's when we both sing at once. Once she was ready Lydia would close her eyes taking a deep breath she didn't really sing in front of people much. It wasn't that she was a bad singer she had a good voice but it wasn't the voice of someone who sang for a living. [break][break] I will not make the same mistakes that you did I will not let myself Cause my heart so much misery I will not break the way you did, You fell so hard I've learned the hard way To never let it get that far As the vice captain finished up her first part Lydia hoped that gave Artemis enough time to match her tone. She would then tap the water mages hand twice. Because of you I never stray too far from the sidewalk Because of you I learned to play on the safe side so I don't get hurt Taking a small breath the vice captain would keep going with her own part. Because of you I find it hard to trust not only me, but everyone around me The pink haired mage would then tap the other mages hand twice and once they finished up that small part she would quickly tap her hand once. As the white and blond haired mage was singing her own part Lydia would use this time to take a few breaths. Before tapping Artemis' hand twice again. Because of you I never stray too far from the sidewalk Because of you I learned to play on the safe side so I don't get hurt At this point Lydia was getting a bit nervous because the rest of the song was mainly just her but during that time she would tap Artemis hands to signal her parts or parts they sang together. I watched you die I heard you cry every night in your sleep I was so young. You should have known better than to lean on me. You just saw your pain. And now I cry in the middle of the night of the same damn thing.I never stray too far from the sidewalk Because of you I learned to play on the safe side so I don't get hurt Because of you I find it hard to trust not only me but everyone around me.Because of you I am afraid. Because of you... Because of you... As the two mages finished up the song Lydia would let go of her hand smiling at her. Well that was fun.

Artemis would smile and nod at the two women whom she had met prior as they boarded the vessel that would take them to their destination, one called The Last Voyage. Lydia Ravencrest was a woman whom she had shared a drink with after their dungeon run, the one where one of her own Green Mantis had left them both in. It was not every day that a woman like Artemis could unwind in the company of another very talented mage, more talented that Artemis was. While she herself was one of the rising stars within the Green Mantis, the few that they had in the past few years, Artemis knew her prowess paled in comparison to the Glass and Light magic user. It was almost unfair to compare them to each other.[break][break]
The other woman was another acquaintance. While Lydia Ravencrest had the prowess and powerful grace, Rosalia Boreas had the charm and beauty. If there was ever a woman Artemis aspired to be as beautiful as, it would be the Black Bulls mage. Truly, their brief interaction previously had endeared the woman to her, though what had seared the memory of the woman was her flirtatious nature, which complimented the woman’s beauty very well. A match made in heaven, from Artemis’ point of view.[break][break]
Both Lydia and Rosalia were two women that Artemis aspired to be, one for her strength and grace, the other her beauty and charm.[break][break]
Their fourth merry member was a young man from the Golden Dawn, Artemis would wave at the young man, “Pleased to meet you.” The young man was a part of one of the higher ranked Magic Squads, which spoke highly of him. From what Artemis could tell, she was the only one that was a part of a squad in the lower rungs. Green Mantis, after all, had seen better days.[break][break]
It was then that Artemis would be engaged in a conversation by Lydia. “The big ones, well, they’re called whales.” She would start, “Those ones are great for their blubber. Whale fat is a great resource, and their hide is very tough. However, we seldom hunt them. They’re majestic creatures, and while gentle giants, can capsize a boat when angered.” Artemis would smile at a memory, a distant one of her mother and herself whale watching. “Fishes in this part of the sea are usually dangerous. We try our best not to venture too far into the sea.” The sea was a treacherous mistress, very ill-tempered when angered. [break][break]
“How about you, Lady Rosalia, have you been out in the sea before?” Artemis asked, before turning towards the woman, as well as the Golden Dawn Mage. “You as well, friend.” She pointed to Cyrus, whom she had not gotten a name, “What do you both think of the sea?” The waters were her element, and she felt at home here, and she wondered what the others felt of it.[break][break]
As they finally neared their destination, Artemis would contemplate the information Dio and Aris had briefed them on. Weapons, items, and even artifacts. As they neared their destination, Artemis could not help but feel both excitement and trepidation.[break][break]
Arriving at their destination, the man named Aris would guide the group towards what seemed like a delegation, while Dio had decided to head towards the Water Temple. Artemis thought nothing for Dio’s actions, and watched as Aris seemed to be somewhat friendly with these people, and one of them definitely looked the part of a well-to-do individual. It turned out that Artemis’ assumptions were correct. Grand Elder Maxis, one of their venerated leaders, would request of them a performance. A song and dance, a remembrance of the days of old, when the land and sea were not so far apart. Artemis could feel their pain, their longing, and could not say no.[break][break]
Lydia would suggest an idea, and Artemis would go along with it. Singing, after all, was something every noblewomen were taught to do. “Lady Rosalia, if you’d like, you can join us by our tune, or even dance. If not, maybe some sort of a performance with your magic?” She gave the beautiful woman a small smile, before turning to the Golden Dawn mage. “You can join in as well, or perhaps an accompaniment to the performance with your magic. You both can decide on either or.”[break][break]
Hand held, Lydia would use tapping motions to signal parts to be sung. Artemis would agree to the plan, if only to make this easier. The song was an easy one, a more famous tune that captivated audiences around the Clover Kingdom. Lydia would take centre-stage, and begin.[break][break]
Because of you[break] I never stray too far from the sidewalk[break] Because of you[break] I learned to play on the safe side so I don't get hurt
[break][break]
Artemis would smile slightly, swaying back and forth as she sung her second part. She was not the best dancer, though she tried her best to move her body as naturally as possible, swaying to the melodious tune of the song.[break][break]
Because of you[break] I am afraid[break] I loose my way[break] And it's not too long (before you point it out)[break] I cannot cry[break] Because I know that's weakness (in your eyes) [break] I'm forced to fake[break] A smile, a laugh everyday of my life[break] My heart can't possibly break[break] When it wasn't even whole to start with[break] Because of you[break] I never stray too far from the sidewalk[break] Because of you[break] I learned to play on the safe side so I don't get hurt
[break][break]
Artemis would let Lydia sing her small part, her eyes now closed as she felt emotions run through her spine, making her shiver slightly.[break][break]
Because of you[break] I am afraid[break] (I watched you die...) [break] (I was too young for you to lean on me...) [break] (You never saw me...) [break] Because of you[break] Mmmmmm... Oooooh…[break] Mmmmmm... Oooooh…
[break][break]
Artemis would bow slightly, hiding the fact that this was the first time she had sung a song to a crowd, a duet no less. Of course, the crowd was a small one, but it was definitely more than the handful that she was used to performing to. Hopefully it was enough to let them through to the city.

TL;DR
Song Lydia and Artemis are singing which we didn't make up our self credit goes to the original creators: www.youtube.com/watch?v=o0oenkCT8EY
Rosalia would smile at both Dio and Aris when they introduced themselves and pull up a chair as the black-haired Purple Orca explained to the party what he had found underneath the water temple. It made the witch pause and purse her lips. Ancient Artifacts? Languages that have never been seen before? Rosalia’s inner magic nerd exited its closet and practically sat on her shoulder, grinning as she listened. She could practically hear something ring out in her head: “Side quest acquired: Find Ancient Books!” It made her almost groan audibly, because she knew that some level of her attention was going to be split off once they went down there. [break][break]
The Black Bull member did, however, cock an eyebrow when she listened to Dio talk about furthering the Clover Kingdom’s wartime technology…Something in the way he had said it was off-putting. Something about the confidence that they needed the technology…She shook her head and glanced at Aris and Dio’s hands quietly again. Were they single? She eyed them for a ring. Aris had a cuteness to him that she couldn’t pinpoint … All things considered, if Rosalia could find the time she would grab Aris for a make out session. [break][break] Once they were done talking, the group seemed to separate, with Dio going towards the Water Temple and the rest of them heading to the Elder of the Underwater people called Maxis. It gave the red-haired beauty time to properly look around the exterior buildings that littered the floor of this region. They’re architecture was unlike any she had ever seen before. She was distracted for most of Lydia and Arthemis’ conversation, but would snap back to attention when her name was called out. “Err, I lived a while at Rague back when I was in the Roses, but I’ve never travelled at sea, no.” She would smile as she gave her answer casually. That was the truth. “I’ve never really had the time to even think about it…I guess, commoners don’t get many chances to explore the seas.” It wasn’t a quip at the noble crew in anyway. It was a fact. She really had never thought about it before. “Also, lady Artemis, no need for the “lady” before my name. There’s nothing ladylike about me.” She gave Artemis an absolutely wolfish smile before laughing. Her manners were forced upon her by her brothers with a heavy hand. And she hated them with a burning passion. [break][break] Once they arrived in front of the elder, Rosalia would bow deeply and introduce herself as she listened to his task. Fuck. A performance? Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. And not the good kind of fucking either. The kind of fucking that was gonna hurt because the person on the other end didn’t know what he was doing. As she raised her head, a look of pure unadultured horror crossed Rosalia’s face. Perform? The woman couldn’t sing OR dance. Playing an instrument was out of the question. She glanced at the other three, seriously nervous for their ability to perform this task properly. Lydia and Artemis were quick to take charge, however. Nobles were educated in the performing arts, unlike her. Being a commoner to her bone, the ice witch had grown up reading books, cooking, cleaning and practicing magic in secret. None of these abilities could really help her when it came down to this task. [break][break] Artemis and Lydia quickly began performing, with the Green Mantis mage giving Rosalia an encouraging look and telling her to join in if she wished to, but Rosalia didn’t know the song. Oh man they were so screwed. She needed to think fast. The two began singing, and their voices were indeed stunning…so stunning that the entire city deserved to listen and see them…The woman tore her grimoire away from its leather strap as she watched the construction of the buildings around them. Hmmm…People were watching from both the ground and from their home’s balcony. Then perhaps, she could make the pair of beauties impossible to miss? She was a supportive mage, after all, her job was often to buff her allies in order to improve their abilities for a certain amount of time. In this case, her partners would be the centerpieces of her magic. As if they were modeling for a shoot. [break][break] “Wings of Winter.” She muttered to herself as she plucked her spell out, casting it on Lydia and Artemis, giving them both a large, stunning pair of wings of black ice. Being an ex-model, Rosalia had imbued the ice with a lacey-design that would shine when hit by the light in a specific angle. She would give the two performers the ability to fly around with ease as they performed, like a pretty dance. As she switched her shadow oddity off, the redhead would purse her lips. What more could she do?
Watching the two nobles flutter around and perform was stunning in itself, but perhaps…she tapped her foot along to the tune for a few seconds before using her mana to create hundreds of little tiny sheets of ice, She floated them up around the pair as they danced through the air, letting the natural light reflect through them easily, creating a show of glistening rainbow-like colors. Thankfully, having an affinity had given her the shot at creating two very different aesthetics, the gentle lights of the ice sheets without the oddity, and the mystique of the Wings of Winter spell that created a darker glitter. She would maintain her spell while the pair performed, moving along underneath with them so they didn’t go out of the range of her magic. Her red-hair fluttered behind her as her heels clicked along the floor and adjusted the sheets of ice on occasion. [break][break] Once her allies were finished singing and had landed safely, she would flick her spell off, letting the wings and ice sheets disappear. Rosalia would clap for Lydia and Artemis’s performance, believing that she, personally, hadn’t really performed and had no need to bow. The beauty was fine with being the supporting cast. [break][break]
White Knight: Those with this skill can cause their defensive based spells and abilities cleanse debuffs. This mechanic works in the same fashion as healing does when removing debuffs.
Mana Conservationist: You will be able to use spells with less mana than others when it comes to casting spells! Each rank of spell will have its spell cost go down by the following amounts, please remember that this is based on the rank of the spell not the character! [Juniors]: 2 | [Intermediate]: 4 | [Senior]: 6 | [Grand]: 10 | [Archmage]: 16
Description: Rosalia summons forth a living barrier of gentle pale ice that swirls around herself and several allies of her choice. The barrier acts as an intermediate level defense spell that glistens under the sun, protecting the target from damage. If an enemy gets close enough to attack, however, the ice in the barrier will strike out against them, dealing intermediate damage and turning black.
This spell goes off of the projectiles/ammo/occurrences/ rules based on a mage’s control.[break][break]
[attr=class, cyrustext]After Cyrus' arrival to the Royal Road Tavern, it wasn't much longer before their party was joined by its sixth and final member; who introduced herself as Rosalia Boreas of the Black Bulls squad. It seemed from her greeting that she was familiar with the other two women. He was passingly familiar with her name from his own work with the knights, but perhaps more pressingly her introduction made him realize that he had neglected to formally introduce himself as well. "Ah, Cyrus Elwood of the Golden Dawn, sorry!" He apologized, hating to seem so unprofessional on what promised to be an important job. He took a look at their party, appraising them as a whole; while he wasn't familiar with Dio or Aris, the fact that he was aware of who the three female members of the party were spoke measures about their strength and renown. It seemed as though they had quite the team assembled.
Once the last of the introductions were out of the way, the two men who had summoned them got the summary of what was going on underway. The news of a Diamond Kingdom dig site being discovered would have been cause for concern and interest enough on its own, but the news of ancient artifacts and technology was what really got the young man's attention in particular. Ever the dedicated student, he was always fascinated by a chance to see just what sort of things ancient civilizations had to offer the modern age with all of their mysteries. In particular, the mention of grimoires written in unknown languages caught his attention. Cyrus cast a glance down towards the book at his own hip, remembering the delivery of a curious scroll written in an unfamiliar language that had changed his life. While recent discoveries he had made led him to dismiss the possibility of the two being connected, he still couldn't help but be excited at the prospect of other such secrets.
Their overview done with, the two mages lead them to the town's port where Aris summoned a stunning ship through the use of his water magic. The sight of the grand construct brought a little bit of Cyrus' inner magic nerd out, an excited grin spreading on his face. It wasn't just because of the impressive display of magic, however; thanks to his years of study, the sap wizard had a deep fascination for the ocean but as of yet had never actually been out to sea before. The thought of riding such a magnificent vessel for his first voyage excited him to no end, and he joined the rest of the group as they boarded.
The journey across the water itself was just as exciting as the ship was for the boy, who spent a majority of the trip staring out over the edge of the boat at the water below. Lydia and Artemis got to talking, the former pointing out a creature that he recognized from his books as a whale. The sheer size of the creature was mind-boggling to the boy, having read that they weren't magical in any sort of way; they just naturally grew that large. "Wow, Hama come check this out!" Cyrus called out, seemingly to no one in particular. But after just a moment his grimoire lit up, and from its pages emerged a small woman the size of a house cat with long blonde hair that reached below her waist. It was his partner and best friend, the sap Spirit Hama. She stretched her arms, only to gawk in disbelief at the creature swimming below them. "Holy crap, that's a big fish!" She announced with an amused laugh. Cyrus grinned. "Ah, actually they're mammals! Warm-blooded, and they need air to breath. Never thought I would see one in person!"
Artemis called out to Cyrus, asking if he had ever been out to sea and what he thought of it. He grinned. "No, never! But I've always wanted to! I've read a ton about it in my studies." Hama blinked at the other women present, now aware of them. Cyrus laughed at her confusion. "Ah, sorry. Forgot to introduce you, too! Everyone, this is Hama, the Spirit of Sap. Hama, this is Lydia, Rosalia, and Artemis, Dio, and Aris!" The spirit nodded, grinning and waving to the large group. "Hiya!"
Eventually the crew made it to their destination, and Dio excused himself as he headed towards the temple. One of the leaders of the people here, Grand Elder Maxis, explained the need for a performance of some sort, which surprised the young man. He sat back and watched as the women collaborated on a song and performance, with Rosalia providing "effects" for the display while the other two sang. Once they were done, it was his turn. Luckily, he had been discussing an idea with his friend.
Cyrus opened his grimoire, calling on his magic. He didn't really have a title for this. Moreso just a depiction of man's struggle. The floor beneath him became covered in a layer of golden sap, spreading out over the stage before taking shape; it came to resemble a man supporting himself with a walking stick made of amber as he slowly made his way across the stage. The sap on the ground seemed to slow him down, as he struggled against his weight. "Come what may, I will press on." Cyrus said, affecting the voice of an elderly man. More sap beings came into existence, resembling beasts and monsters that stalked the person as he made his way. But whenever they would step near, the man would stomp the staff against the ground, creating a wave of sap that pushed his aggressors away. It saved him, but every use of it took a clear toll on the figure, whose walking became even more difficult. But still, he continued. "Come what may, I will press on." Cyrus repeated.
Just as it seemed like he could no longer defend himself, however, Hama took her cue to rise from the sap, exuding her amber glow. Her presence banished the beasts, and several other sap people arose beside her. "I have witnessed your struggles, old one, and they have touched me. Tell me, what destination drives a man such as you to press onward as you do?" She inquired in a more subdued, mature tone than she usually used.
"No journey is too far, for a man to soon to be a grandfather." He replied simply, continuing on his path. Hama put on a look of shock. "You would struggle so much, just to see someone you have never met?" She asked, as though unaware of the nature of man. The man passed the other sap people. "It is because I do not know what lies ahead, that I must press on. How else will I ever know?"
At this declaration the man stumbled, but was caught by one of the figures he passed. Hama floated in front of him. "Then walk, sir. Forward, without stopping. When you stumble, I shall catch you. When in danger, I shall protect you. And when it seems you can walk no more, I shall take your steps."
The sap man looked up to her. "For what reason would you extend this kindness? Who are you?" He asked, and Hama smiled. "I have many names. But your kind would call me... Determination." She said. And Hama moved to join the man, seemingly fading away into his body. The figure paused for a moment, before standing up straight and tall. He dropped his amber staff, which shattered against the ground. His fingers flexed, and his legs kicked. "Determination..." He repeated simply... and with a nod, he continued on his way. The sap no longer held him, and the beasts were dispatched with ease. When he stumbled, he got back up and continued. And when at last he reached his journey's end, a house of amber... the sound of crying could be heard. His shoulders relaxed, and he stepped forward, becoming one with the building. The structure then melted down, fading away into nothing to reveal Cyrus standing where its center would have been. As the last of his sap disappeared Cyrus snapped his grimoire shut, and Hama reemerged from its confines. The two smiled at the audience, Cyrus giving a humble bow and Hama waving excitedly. They stepped off the stage, and Cyrus sighed heavily; not from magical exertion, but from his nerves at performing in front of so many people. His face was bright red from embarrassment and discomfort, hoping that his contribution had been adequate.

The elders of the seabed village all clapped at the group's performances...it seemed as though they enjoyed themselves to the fullest extent, and they stood up to give the group their due. When the clapping and fanfare died down it was just the elders and the group left there.
“Well travelers, I am sure you have many questions, but with that performance...We will answer what questions you may have if you have any. The Seabed city is yours to explore and we do hope you take part in the Water Temple challenge...Elder Hach will see you to that area if that is where you do intend to go.” With that Elder Hach stood up and walked forward before bowing to the group. He looked to be built very well, almost an olympian figure as he eyed the group without saying a word.
At this point Aris would step forward and explain that the group is there to receive the training from the Water Temple, but want to investigate the disturbance left from the Diamond occupation, to which Hach sighed before looking at Dio...there was something felt in that moment, an unspoken argument of some sort as the group broke away from the Elders as Hach would lead the way to the Water Temple.
The approach to the temple was fairly uneventful as the native people of the seabed city were amazed to see the colorful mantles of the Magic Knights that had assembled. Some wanted to get autographs, and others just wanted to shake hands or talk to them. The player’s could choose to ignore them, or indulge them for a moment, either way Hach will explain that the Seabed city was advantageous during the war for being heavily defensible and actually a place to harness natural mana to control entire fleets of ships. Post Wartime has led to a boom in the arts and is common now that the people of the seabed city are ready to explore Clover once more as ambassadors. Then as the group approaches the Seabed temple, Hach looks to Aris and Dio and then pulls them aside as some words were exchanged that the party knows not of yet. After a few moments and an exchange of yul from Aris to Hach, the Elder and Aris shake hands before walking away, leaving them with Dio as he comes back to the group with his same stoic expression.
“We do not have much time. But the Elder is allowing us to use the Water Temple for an extended training period before he releases the guardians...so we are going to go and investigate the area that the Diamond soldiers found, follow me...I will explain what I know once we arrive.” Dio would say before leading the group into the temple.
DM Notes: For this round, you are exploring the Seabed city for a moment as you are being led by Hach and then by extension the Water Temple by Dio, who seems to be awfully in tune with the place even though he will admit to only having been in once. As a group you can ask question (Limit to 5) which will be answered next post by their respective NPC’s and the group only has to meet 500 Words or more to pass through the area and arrive to the staircase depression.
Artemis would give the crowd a small smile, something that she reserved for special occasions. Her emotions, just like any urges she has mentally or emotionally, were squashed down before it could bubble to the surface. She would not let her emotions control her, nor her instincts take over. Cool. Calm. Collected. She was known for those three words, never straying for the path she had chosen, never looking back towards her regrets and mistakes. Artemis, in her struggle to control her addiction to adrenaline, her Kleptomania, had closed herself. She would let nothing in or out, at least, uncontrolled wise. [break][break]
The few smiles she gave were either necessary, or were towards people she cared about. That numbered only to a few, and she was alright with that. [break][break]
The crowd gave them cheers, and Artemis waved. They clamoured, and she gave them attention in return. Not too much, though certainly enough to keep them enamoured. She knew how to handle a cheering crowd, and people in general, as the current Head of the Somerset family. [break][break]
As they made their way to their destination, Artemis would be piqued with interest, and ask Hach a question, “Can you tell us more about Atlantis?” She would start, her bookish personality starting to bubble to the surface, “I’ve read countless books, but this is definitely the first for me. I’ve always been interested in the history of the place, and truly, this is like a dream come true.”[break][break]
It was true, after all, as a water mage, she loved learning about everything related to water magic. This place was at the top of her list, and it always piqued her curiosity, though she never found any books that delved deeper about the topic.
[attr="class","florencetext"] As the crowd starting cheering for the mages the crimson lion vice captain would let out a sigh of relive. She wasn't sure that it would impress them enough to get access to explore the place. However it seemed to be just enough and they would be lead further along on there journey. As the group of mages were walking the Lydia would smile and wave at the people answering questions they asked. However the glass mage wouldn't sign anything they asked her to. As they had time to ask question Lydia wanted to ask more than a few but she would limit herself so the others were able to ask there own. It seemed Artemis wasted no time getting down to questions so once her's was answered the pink haired mage would ask her own to all three of the men. What type of monsters lie in the deep? She figured it was the best question to ask just in case they could ind out more about the mana beast waiting for the, if any of the man had answers anyway. Lydia would then pull out her cigarettes lighting one. After all there was no way for the glass mage to know when they would next get a break like this one if they even manged to find a spot to take one.

Rosalia clapped along with the elders at Lydia, Cyrus and Artemis’ performances. They were truly gifted artistically in a way that the red-head wasn’t. She was happy when the leaders of the underwater nation seemed to say they were willing to answer any questions that they had considering their earlier care. The notion made little animated stars twinkle in her eyes because frankly Rosalia could stay here and ask questions for days. On the history of the place. On the culture. On the magic. On the Diamond Kingdom. On the mana beasts that resided here and the plantlife. Everything about the place intrigued her. Perhaps she could ask her Captain to let her come back here when she had the free time to explore around? [break][break] She would bow to Elder Hach who approached the group. He looked like an old Poseidon, if mythological gods could age. Her crimson eyes would notice the shift in the air between Dio and the elder but say nothing more of it. [break][break] As the crew started walking to the Water Temple, the beauty would notice that people circled around them and eyed their mantles. Some held out their hands or wanted to talk, and while the woman would usually not be the type to indulge in such little things, to her this was a different culture, and she didn’t mind making friends from the inhabitants here. She would smile as she paused for a brief second to make and hand a little girl a starfish made out of black ice. Rosalia liked kids. She found them innocent, the ironic opposite of herself. Then she would run to catch up with the rest of the party just in time to catch Elder Hach explain the strategic positioning of the Seabed city. The witch would listen to Artemis ask a question that she had wanted to ask as well, so she listened eagerly for Elder Hach’s response. [break][break] “Your people, Elder,” Rosalia would refer to him respectfully,” is their culture and way of interaction with magic different to ours at the surface?” She didn’t pay mind to Lydia pulling out and lighting a cigarette, to her smoking was normal around Bruce and Malcolm back at the Bulls. [break][break] Once the elder would leave she would raise an eyebrow at the black-haired Purple Orca member. [break][break] “I’m sorry, what's that about Guardians that might get released upon us?” She’d ask, placing a hand on her hip as she pursed her lips at him. [break][break]
[attr=class, cyrustext]Cyrus joined the rest of the crowd in cheering for the other performances as they concluded, having greatly enjoyed both the singing of Lydia and Artemis as well as the aesthetic additions provided by Rosalia. While he was somewhat used to lots of attention thanks to his time in the Magic Knights, this was certainly a different sort of vibe. "Reminds me of that day I got picked to perform with that actress," He said quietly with a slight chuckle, wondering how the woman was doing now after all of the Shatter business.
Hama arched an eyebrow at her partner. "Wait, what?" She asked, having not been with him at that point. Cyrus grinned sheepishly but shook his head as the elders of the group beckoned them to follow. "I'll tell you about it later." He assured the spirit as groups of people approached them after the show. He smiled at them all, shaking a few hands and introducing them to Hama when they asked about the tiny figure they saw in the play. She definitely seemed to enjoy the praise and interest, though Cyrus was a bit uncomfortable with so many eyes on him. "I think I could get used to this, Cy!" The spirit chirped happily as she sat down on his palm, waving to a trio of children who came to see her. He smiled, glad to see that she was enjoying herself since she often felt ignored when interacting with people.
So it wasn't all bad.
Cyrus looked all around them as they walked, taking in the glorious sights of the underwater village while contemplating what to ask them about. This sort of thing was right up his alley; foreign cultures and traditions were always a favorite topic for him. Artemis and Rosalia both seemed to share his interest in their ways. For the moment he was particularly interested in the shape and structure of the buildings around them. For a moment his thoughts turned to the sister he was still getting to know, and he wondered what she would think of this place. From what he had learned of her interests thus far he figured that she might be interested in learning about the history of the town. As they walked, however, he noticed the Elder speaking to Aris and Dio privately, followed by shaking the former's hand before they left. It seemed odd that only two of the trio would shake hands, but his thoughts were interrupted by Dio's return to the group. He explained the current plan to the party before resuming his position as leader of the group.
Hama glanced at Cyrus, giving him a slight nudge. The sap wizard nodded. Rosalia's question about the guardians was one he had been fixing to ask as well. "While the Diamond Kingdom were occupying this dig site, did it cause any sort of disturbances or interruptions of your peoples' daily lives?" He decided to ask instead. He could save his more personal curiosities for later, once things had settled down some, hopefully.
