The Chasm Crawler looked at the female in the black robe, as she approached it wanted to reach out and try to get a bit out of her, but the red colored mage had managed to skewer the beast and so it’s remaining energy was put forth to try and escape before these hunters could attack again. The Crawler moves slowly as if trying to legitimately crawl away, the fearsome look in its eyes actually looks more fear...full. As Rosalia approached and spoke to it, it understood. But they eyes upon it made it want to trigger its flight response instead of its fight. Meanwhile its eyes dropped and began to look less...alive
The creature is dying, it is scared and while it seems to understand you it looks as though it’s lost a lot of blood and trying to crawl away is only expediting it’s agonizing death
[attr=class, cyrustext]Much to Cyrus' relief, it would seem that they were right to trust Artemis and Rosa with the job of attempting to sooth the injured creature. Though it was still clearly rather distressed (and why wouldn't it be, given how he and Lydia had turned the tables on it mere moments ago), it at least seemed as though it had given up on attempting to strike any of them again. Hama emerged from his grimoire and sat on his shoulder, following his gaze as he looked up in anticipation to watch Lydia heal the Chasm Crawler. Before she did however, she exchanged a brief kiss with Artemis that surprised the young wizard, who uncomfortably returned his attention back to the suffering sea beast. The sight made him think about his girlfriend Fibi, and how he had still yet to have any luck in tracking her down ever since the Shatter occurred some months ago. He couldn't help the heavy sigh that escaped his lips, feeling emotionally drained all of a sudden.
Hama took notice of this and placed her hand on her friend's neck, lightly patting it in a comforting gesture. She could tell what it was that was troubling him. It was Hama who noticed Lydia summon three curious weapons made of glass, extending one to her partner. A gentle nudge from her caught his attention, and Cyrus accepted the offered weapon as Lydia explained how it worked. "Thank you." He said simply, grateful for the assistance. He raised the pommel of the weapon so that he could touch it to his arm and restore his mana skin, only to watch curiously as the poor creature began to shrink away from the Crimson Lion's spell, attempting to crawl away. He looked at the spell she had handed to him, and realized what the problem must have been at least partially.
"It may have healing properties, but it still looks like a weapon." He mused out loud, pushing himself to his feet. Time to focus. If the Chasm Crawler continued to resist their efforts to heal it, it wouldn't be prolonging its suffering, but outright hastening its own demise. He moved to block its escape, thankful that the creature was too heavily injured to make a more spirited break for it. "Hold friend," He spoke to the creature softly. While he could certainly use magic to restrain it as he had before, he had a feeling that such an effort would only make it panic and struggle, injuring itself more in the process. So he instead placed his hand on the creature, gently, as though comforting a frightened child. "We mean you no further harm. We just want to help." He made sure that he was within the creature's line of sight, though from its drooping eyes it seemed that range was getting smaller by the second. Cyrus removed his scarf and turned Lydia's glass sword around in his hand, wrapping the cloth around the sharp edge so that he was now holding it carefully by the covered blade with the hilt facing the animal. He slowly moved it towards the beast, aiming to touch its side with the healing portion of the spell.

[attr="class, cyrusstats] Combat Notes Cyrus attempts to use Lydia's spell to heal the Chasm Crawler, wrapping the blade with his scarf to show it he means no harm
Artemis would watch the creature squirm away. [break][break]
It broke her heart just a little, knowing that it was afraid. Of course, in all honesty, Artemis and their group had been the one trespassing. This was, after all, the creature’s home. At least, it most likely was its home. For what it was worth, Artemis assumed that the creature, this Chasm Crawler, was attacking what it thought were intruders. Even Artemis would have been hard pressed to deny that she would have done the same if she had been in the Chasm Crawler’s position. After all, she had once chased away an acquaintance from the Green Mantis Magic Knight’s base when he had trespassed. She had lost a friend that day.[break][break]
Artemis was unwilling to lose this creature’s life when they had ways to bring it back to full health and vitality.[break][break]
“Lydia, shall we do it as a group? Cyrus is right, the weapon does still look like a weapon.” She had watched the young man use his own scarf to cover the blade, and then use the pommel and handle to heal the creature. It was a good effort, and Artemis would nod. “Shall we follow the Golden Dawn’s mages’ example? Rosalia and I shall soothe the Chasm Crawler, and you can hopefully heal it back up.”[break][break]
Artemis would crouch down low, giving the Chasm Crawler a small, caring smile as she was hopefully joined by Rosalia.[break][break]
“We mean you no harm.” She held her hands up, speaking softly in a caring manner, showing the creature that she held no weapons or any ill will. “My companions are using the sword’s handle to heal you. I swear.” Artemis was not one show her more caring side, yet the sight of a hurt creature brought out the maternal nature in her. All she wanted was for it to feel better. She felt more connection to creatures of the deep than any other. That did not include aberrations like mana beasts, however. “We mean you no harm...shhh…”[break][break]
Artemis did her best. Hopefully the creature would be soothed enough by her soft voice, by Rosa’s own, as well as Cyrus’ action and Lydia’s own. A creature of the deep was dear to Artemis, and it hurt her knowing that the creature was less a mana beast, and was an actual sentient creature that most likely was just trying to protect its own. [break][break]
“Shh...no harm at all...we will make it all better, I promise.”
Rosalia smiled when she saw that Artemis, Cyrus and Lydia were following her lead. Her grin quickly faded when she noticed the Chasm Crawler gaze on her hand before then started moving away. Crawled rather. It had lost a lot of blood and it looked pathetic as it continued to die before the group of magic knights. It saddened the red-head. She was used to hurting, scarring, trapping, killing…but this was mostly in regards to dark, corrupted creatures of enemies of the kingdom. This creature was simply a predator whose territory the group had stumbled upon. It was a mana beast that had to survive and simply looked for food. It had picked the wrong enemy, yes, but that didn’t mean it had to die for its decision. The Magic Knights could be kind, and in the Black Bulls, family, respect and understanding were valued qualities. [break][break] Mana Beasts weren’t counted out of the things she respected. They were a part of nature, and the fact that this Chasm Crawler had survived this long and grown this strong in an environment full of evil monsters was…admirable. [break][break] Rosalia couldn’t heal, it wasn’t within her kit of abilities, despite having it as a curiosity. But that didn’t mean that she couldn’t support Artemis with her water affinity. She cooled the temperature around the Chasm Crawler ever so gently, lulling it to relax pleasantly. [break][break] “That’s right friend, you can trust us…stay still. We want to help you, not hurt you.” The witch murmured, keeping her tone in that soothing octave before glancing around at Cyrus’ using Lydia's weapon. She was curious about its abilities, but they could discuss it later. Having worked with both Artemis and Lydia before, the Ice Witch was only unfamiliar with the Sap Magic that the Golden Dawn member used. It intrigued her and she noted to inquire about it once had the time. If they ever would. [break][break] “It’s okay…we’re not going to hurt you anymore.” [break][break]
[attr="class","florencetext"] Lydia would bite her lower lip as she watched as the creature moved away from the healing spell. Not that the vice captain could blame it after all while it might have been a healing and attack spell it took the shape of a sword which after what Lydia had already shown the creature she could do it seemed like the beast didn't want to take any chances. It was at times like this the glass mage wished she had a spell that could heal the whole area however working alone most of the time meant she had no such spell perhaps that was something that she'd change now that she worked with others. She would listen to what the others said and as the other three got to work Lydia would slowly return the spell to her hand before taking off her own mantle covering the blade part up. She wasn't sure if it would actually work in tricking the crawler after the elders said they were very smart. She would then lean down next to the crawler placing a hand on it and speaking in a soft voice that those who had just watched her fight might not have thought possible. I'm not going to hurt you. We aren't a threat to you anymore. [break][break] All you have to do is touch the handle and my spell will start to fix the wounds I caused you. The pink haired mage would then extend the spell out for the creature to touch. All the four mage could do now was hope there plan would work and the crawler would touch the spell or else it seemed it would die and they'd be back to step one meaning they'd have even less of a chance to save those who stay behind to buy them sometime.

The Chasm Crawler winced and whimpered for a moment, groaning before the group surrounded it, of course the creature had nowhere it could go...it just resigned itself to its fate, it was intelligent enough to know that if these hunters wanted it dead...it would be dead...last time hunters came the three that left with the hunters looked eager to comply with whatever the hunters decisions were.
After a few moments of the healing the Chasm Crawler groaned and used its tentacles to stand up and breathe very labored breaths for just a moment or two before looking at the group of four mages. Bringing up four tentacles it would touch them if they allowed it. Once it did, the familiar weak beating of its heart could be felt alongside their own...it bonded with them. In that moment knowing the knowledge that they knew. It turned and looked up the chasm towards that sheer cliff face nearly twenty yards away. Then it offered its back for them all to climb on, it was going to take them to the keep.
Once the group was on, it was as if they could see through its eyes, it could accurately see the other Chasm Crawlers and Sunken in the depths...now they could too.
The creature is healed, for the most part. You will now be moving at its full speed towards the keep, its silent and swift movements avoid the eyes and ears of the Sunken Hivemind...but you all can see what the creature sees as you approach your final destination.
[attr=class, cyrustext]Cyrus observed with baited breath as Artemis and Rosalia attempted to soothe the poor creature, reassuring it that their intentions were helpful instead of harmful. He was quietly hoping that it would sense the sincerity in their actions, and not just for the sake of their mission either. He had always possessed a great, curious fascination with all manners of subjects that he came across in his myriad of studies while preparing himself for knighthood. He held a vested interest in the many strange and wonderful places and relics of the world, from minor obscurities to grand structures. With an avid fascination for such things, it should come as no surprise that the Elwood wizard also had a great fondness for the creatures of the world as well.
Magic Knights were protectors of the Clover Kingdom; and in Cyrus' mind, this meant that the various creatures and even Mana Beasts of the kingdom were under their protection. While he had only known of beings like the Chasm Crawlers for barely a few hours, it was still more than enough for him to consider it the latest of the many charges they kept as knights. A life to protect and care for. The fact that they hoped to convince the creature to aid them in their quest honestly pained him, seeing how fearful it was at the moment, but that same nervousness only made him more determined to try and keep it alive.
Luckily for all parties involved, it would seem that their efforts to communicate were successful. Whether out of newfound trust or giving into its possible demise, the Chasm Crawler ceased its dangerous struggling, holding still for long enough that he and Lydia could treat its wounds with her magic. Before too long, the beast shakily pushed itself up to a standing position with its tentacles, looking at the party. A tentacle rose to each of them, as if offering a handshake. To this, Cyrus grinned; he had a long-standing habit of offering such a gesture to people he had just met, after all. He extended his own hand and took hold of the tendril, giving it a gentle but firm grip. Hama also placed her hand on it, smiling at the great beast. "I think we can consider this a good sign." He noted to the others with a short but fond laugh; after all of the tension that had been in the air since the attack, it felt good to laugh again. He paused, feeling something... a sensation familiar, yet different. It reminded him of when he and Hama would synchronize their efforts, and he realized that the creature was doing the same with them all. Its eyes rose, gazing up above them as it seemed to kneel for them. "I think it wants us to get on." He suggested.
Deciding to go with his instincts, he slowly pulled himself up onto the Crawler, taking the available space farthest towards the creature's back as Hama took a seat on his own leg. He looked at the sword Lydia had given him, and finally used it on himself, pressing the hilt against his arm. He could feel a soothing sensation wash over him as his mana skin regenerated. Since the Chasm Crawler seemed to trust them now, he decided to unwrap the spell's blade, putting the scarf back around his neck and smiling at the Golden Dawn emblem sewn into it. As he looked, though, he felt his vision seem to shift. No, that wasn't quite right. But it was like he could see something else... other Chasm Crawlers? And the Sunken, too? He gripped their mount's sides with his legs. "Whoa! Anybody else see that?" Hama asked, having seen it as well thanks to her connection to Cyrus.

[attr="class, cyrusstats] Combat Notes Used Lydia's Halayudha healing spell to bring his mana skin back to full
The Chasm Crawler would not move. Though, she was not sure whether it was because it had trusted them, or possibly because the group had made their move and it had truly nowhere else to go at this point. Though, for the sake of the creature, it might be best for it to be unable to move at all. Any sort of movement might just make its injuries even more fatal. And there was nothing more saddening to Artemis than to see sea creatures’ lives lost. If there was a way to save this majestic creature, they must do all they can. At least, Artemis would. [break][break]
Then, there was progress.[break][break]
The Chasm crawler would slowly heal through Lydia’s sword. The magical spell was more than just a weapon. A part of it healed whoever was touching it, and it seems that the Chasm Crawler was taking in the weapon’s healing properties and slowly regaining its strength. Artemis’ mood would soar, as she reached over and held Lydia’s free hand in hers. She would give it a squeeze, if the woman would let her hold her free hand. A product of her elated mood as she saw the Chasm Crawler starting to heal.[break][break]
And then it suddenly moved towards them. Its appendages would touch Artemis on the forehead, and for a moment, she found herself connected to the Chasm Crawler. Its heartbeat would be heard by the Water mage, and it would beat alongside her own. It bonded with them.[break][break]
Then, the creature would offer its back. Cyrus would make a comment about its invitation, to which Artemis would nod slowly. “I think it does want us to get on.” She would then turn to Lydia and hold out her hand, so as both of them could get on. [break][break]
When Artemis finally got on, and the rest of them were well seated, the Chasm Crawler would take them towards the keep. It took Artemis a little to adjust to the fact that she was seeing what the Chasm Crawler was seeing. Yet, the sight would be wondrous for the Water mage. [break][break]
“Amazing.” She would whisper as she saw the countless other Chasm Crawlers from their bonded’s sight. There were also Sunken, from what it looked like. It seems that their group had been lucky enough not to have encountered those creatures. [break][break]
Artemis would look onward now as they made their way towards the destination. She felt a slight pang of uncertainty. She was sure that whatever is waiting for them is not going to be good, nor easy. However, if they wished to save this place, then they must continue on, for better or for worse.
[attr="class","florencetext"] The vice captain would keep her gaze focused on the crawler. It wasn't because she was worried about the mana beast attack the four of them. It was more of the fact that if the creature didn't let itself be healed the crimson lion mage would rather end it's suffering rather than letting it die a slow and painful death. Luckily it seemed that wasn't the case as after a few moments the creature would start to slowly stand up it was still having trouble breathing for a moment or two but it wasn't like that wasn't something the vice captain could fix. As Artemis offered her free hand Lydia would take the other women's hand. As the crawler offered a tentacle to each of the four magic knights Lydia would look at it for a moment before she let her sword float next to her and touch the tentacle with her newly freed hand. After a few moments the vice captain would feel a faint heart beat that wasn't here own almost as if she had bonded with the creature which made sense when she thought about it. As the others spoke about the creature waiting them to get on Lydia would speak up herself. [break][break] I think it knows where we need to go and plans on taking us there. So what should we name this thing? She wasn't sure if the thing would survive wherever they were going or if it would even stick around but the four of them had bounded with it so it was only right they should name it. She would then get on the creature herself still holding on to Arty's hand. It seemed the crawler still had some tricks to so them as she was able to see more mana beast just like this one as well as the sunken. I'm going to kill all of those corrupt bastards one of these days to avenge the ones we lost. It wasn't like the pink haired mage to seek revenge but she was tired of people making sacrifices to save her. She was a magic knight it was her job to protect people to get saved by others.

Rosalia was nervous about the Chasm Crawler. She hated killing mana beasts that were essentially living their life as best as they could. She wanted to help it and was hopeful that Lydias’ healing abilities would be more than enough to aid in saving the beastie as it was bleeding out. It stopped moving after a bit and it made Rosalia’s hairs stand on end. Had they been too late or was it…simply taking in its fate. She bit her bottom lip and had to steel her resolve in order to not let herself tear up. Fuck. People she could kill…but Mana Beasts were such a different story. [break][break] The witch paused, dragged away from her concerned thoughts as she felt something brush up against her side. It made a soft giggle leave her lips as she was ticklish. Her eyes moved over the appendage that the Chasm Crawler had extended not only towards her but also Lydia, Cyrus and Artemis and she exhaled softly. [break][break] “Oh thank Azordesmon.” She murmured, not realizing she’d come to see her Ancient Dragon teacher as some sort of higher power. The heart of the beastie was beating, but it was weak, yet it communicated with them through feelings and gestures. It had offered to take them to the edge and beyond. [break][break] When Cyrus spoke up of what he understood of the Chasm Crawler’s intentions, she smiled and agreed. Artemis did too and the pair climbed upon the mana beast’s back before gasping in awe. Lydia soon followed after them. Rosalia’s climb was a bit trickier considering she was wearing heels and she didn’t want to heart the crawler so she…well, crawled onto it before understanding what the commotion was about. This vision that she was experiencing was no longer her own. [break][break] The Chasm Crawler was an amazing creature, to be able to sense others of its kind so well, but also notice enemies. The feeling of this knowledge made Rosalia nibble on the inside of her cheek and gently run her fingers over the soft skin of the beastie. [break][break] “This really if fucking awesome.” She muttered under her breath, before grinning at Lydia’s suggestion to name their new friend. [break][break] “What about Slinky, or Triton? Or Eleah… do we even know if its male or female?” Silliness was the witch’s specialty. Livening the mood a little in this serious circumstance made her feel better. Nerves had piled up in her stomach after the fight she witnessed earlier. Those things were…horrendous and strong. She knew she couldn’t deal with them on her own. The beauty was a drunk, a sex-addict, a closet nerd…many things but stupid wasn’t one of them. [break][break] Revenge. Lydia’s thirst for blood made sense, and it brought Rosalia back into her icy combat exterior. [break][break] “I’m going to do my best to support you, Lady Ravencrest.” The beauty’s old habit of calling people by their titles had kicked in, but she didn’t care, she was focused on everything else going on around them. She was plotting combat strategies while also trying to enjoy the ride atop this majestic beast. [break][break]

”My name is Azygnas in your tongue...hunters...Stay low on my back and I will get you to your destination.” The voice floated through the heads of the party members as the Chasm Crawler rose over a mountain that looked to be natural, but if they looked back once they passed it, they would see it to be an intricate designed piece of stone artwork depicting the royal family of Atlantis.
The Chasm Crawler would mover over the keep and its body maneuvered around tight spaces as it approached the main tower of the keep. As they passed the courtyard it was easy to see that in the western corner there was a large sphere of swirling water, magical seals moving across its surface. The towers that lined the courtyard were all alight with a loud teal light that's blinding even by the crawler’s eyes. Below them they could see that the courtyard was additionally filled with an amount of Sunken that would make the wizard king weep. They seemed to watch the Chasm Crawler, but did not make a move, a few were moving towards them that looked like they were the eyes and ears for the hivemind.
Before they could catch the beast and the party, the Crawler managed to slip into the keep with precision through a ruined wall. It sat them down as the room looked to be an adjoining room to something much larger. Azygnas then spoke again in their heads ”This is as far as I can go...I cannot move well in here, but I will guard this room for you all...I hope you stop the shaking.”
Once the party was off of Azygnas the creature would swim towards the opening, leaving the group to go to their only room available…The main hall of the once great castle of Atlantis, it becomes apparent that this has gone from a fight to escape the damned place...to survival at all costs due to what they have seen and experienced... The main hall is decorated with ancient statues, along with several of the Amalgamations, which were mechanical guardians that were long forgotten, deactivated or broken near the staircase. Sitting at the staircase is an Atlantean...it looks like an old man that is near his death. The players can approach or they can choose to just move directly past him.
If they approach and move on to go up the staircase the Atlantean will only glance at the players once with a sorrowful glance and not say a word. However, if approached and talked to the old man will speak of Atlantis back in its prime. What you do at this crossroad is up to you.
Artemis would make the most of the ride. Her companions would have their piece to say, but she herself would relax as they soared through the sea. It was calming for the woman, more than most things that were supposedly soothing. There was just something about being in the water, surrounded by your element, that made the woman feel at home. She would assume that it was because she was a water mage, yet a lot of the other water element mages she had encountered had never had this kind of experience. There was also the fact that she had a sailors blood. A bloodline directly linked to the affairs of the sea. She would attribute it to that.[break][break]
And then, out of the blue, the Chasm Crawler spoke to them. [break][break]
“Azygnas…” Artemis would softly whisper, “Thank you for taking us. It seems that without your help, we would have been stuck trying to get through those creatures down below.” The Chasm Crawler had been a godsend for them. While Artemis knew that herself and the group could most likely tackle the obstacles at hand, it would have been an uphill climb. This, however, seemed to be the easier way of the two. A much preferred way. Especially since time is of the essence.[break][break]
And then, the creature would direct them. It seems that it was just a tad too big to get through the next room. This specific place would be their spot.[break][break]
“Thank you once again, noble creature.” Artemis would gently pat the Chasm Crawler’s back as they got off. “Please, stay safe out there.”[break][break]
As the group journeyed into the next and only room, Artemis would be amazed at the beauty and splendor that the room once held. Once, was the key word. She could reconstruct the main hall with her imagination, most likely filled with art and statues, which lined the walls. The intricacies of the fallen structures spoke of just how cultured these Atlanteans were. Lining the wall were the amalgamated figures, golems in their own right, yet seemingly deactivated. They were unmoving, and Artemis only spared a glance, sensing no mana nor life force from them.[break][break]
And then they came upon an old man sitting by his lonesome. She paused for a moment, before leading the way towards the figure. He seemed weak, fragile, and very aged.[break][break]
“Excuse me,” Artemis would start. She was the more curious, especially in a place like this where she felt as though it was a second home to her. “This place is quite dangerous. I am unsure if you’re trapped, but I assure you that our group can help you.” The old man looked to be Atlantean, not an amalgamation of horrific visions. He must have been one of the residents of this place, of a time long past. Maybe he needed help getting out.
[attr=class, cyrustext]Loathe as he was to jinx things, it was hard for Cyrus to deny that things were beginning to feel like they were looking up. The rest of the party followed his lead as the Chasm Crawler positioned itself for them to climb up, taking their respective seats on the creature's back. Its strength seemed to have returned as it began to climb rapidly with the party in tow. He had to let out a chuckle in agreement with Rosa when she commented on how awesome the experience was, fully agreeing with her. "It's definitely different from riding a golem or broomstick, that's for damn sure!" Hama said with a boisterous laugh. The topic of naming their new companion came up, with the girl from the Black Bulls offering a few suggestions and questions, before a voice filled the group's collective heads.
It was the very beast on which they rode, introducing itself to them as Azygnas and vowing to see them to their destination. Though he referred to the knights as "hunters", which intrigued Cyrus. Was it just because that was the main sort of people he had interacted with in the past? That and a million other questions filled the sap wizard's head; after all, it wasn't every day that you got the chance to speak to a sentient creature of the deep. Still, they had more pressing matters to attend to, and the Chasm Crawler's mental words put Cyrus back into focus. Artemis thanked him for his assistance. "Yes, we owe you quite a lot." He agreed with her, smiling slightly. A thought occurred to him, but he stowed it away for a moment as they passed over the keep. The sight of the Sunken below was like something out of a nightmare; had the whole day not been so strange, he may have even assumed that was what it was. Eventually they made it to their objective, and dismounted Azygnas. He swore to do his part to guard the room, wishing them luck.
"Be safe, Azygnas." Cyrus urged him, feeling weary about leaving him alone after the massive army they had seen. "For what it's worth, I apologize for my part in harming you earlier. And don't worry; we will stop this." In a final show of good faith, Cyrus again touched their new friend with the hilt of Lydia's sword; while he had enough strength to carry them this far, he felt that there would be no harm in offering some form of aid before they parted ways.
The group headed in the only direction they could once the Chasm Crawler had left, and Cyrus' eyes scanned the statues and ruined machines that decorated the room. It made him uneasy, feeling as though they were surrounded by potential enemies. In fact, remembering how their encounter with Azygnas had started, he pulled out his grimoire. "I'm going to cast my Syrup Shroud on us, just so we have a bit of extra preparation." He informed the group, Hama returning to her usual post on his shoulder as he readied the spell. A warm amber glow surrounded each of the four mages, the protective aura taking effect as an unknown figure came into view. It was an Atlantean, and an older one from what Cyrus could tell about their peoples' appearances. Artemis approached him with an offer of help, and the Golden Dawn wizard kept his eyes on the room around them just to be safe.

[attr="class, cyrusstats] Combat Notes Cast Syrup Shroud on self and other players in preparation for the fight ahead, pressed the hilt of Lydia's spell to Azygnas again
Description: By casting this spell, Cyrus summons a mass of sap that quickly takes on the shape of a castle wall before hardening into a shifting amber-colored aura around Cyrus or his allies, defending them from enemy attacks. On casting, this spell will provide Cyrus with a +9 Durability buff. This defense can fully restore its lost health so long as it is not entirely destroyed, up to three times per casting. Sufficient Control will also allow him to create multiple barriers for different targets.
Rosalia could feel her jaw literally drop as she heard a booming but airy voice ring through her head, one she could immediately guess belonged to the Chasm Crawler they were riding. The beauty was surprised pleasantly at the ability of the mana beast to communicate, but it wasn’t the first time she’d experienced the presence of such an intelligent beastie. Azisorius and Azordesmon, as dragons, were also capable of communicating through the human language. Although telepathy of this form was definitely different. Chasm Crawlers…and Atlantis in general continued to impress her beyond her imagination. The way it moved its body and squished through tight spaces without impeding the mages’ positions reminded of a large octopus of some kind. [break][break] A soft gasp left the beauty’s glossy lips as a large keep revealed itself before the party. The place was like a giant magical castle of every little girl’s dreams. Beautiful, peaceful, old. She wanted to spend days there exploring, learning, simply existing in this surreal environment of beauty. The sight of the Sunken made a cold shiver run down Rosa’s spine and snap her out of her dreams. The beast they rode slipped in between the cracks of the old keep, giving the party insight of what was actually inside of it. As Azygnas urged the party to get off of him and continue ahead, Rosalia petted him softly.
[break][break] “Thank you for your kindness…and again, we apologize for your pain.” She slipped off of him gently, letting her heels hit the floor of the keep. The witch knew very well that this area was more Artemis’ element than her own, but Ice was made from water, and she could appreciate the calming energy within Atlantis as well (although to a much smaller extent.) Her preferred zone was Mountains of the Storm Jarl’s Tempest, a zone of eternal snow where the glaciers never stopped growing and the lighting was blue in color.
[break][break] The witch regarded the room surrounding the party with awe. Her inner closet nerd was having a party in its mental wooden locker, trying to forever record what was left of the once great Castle of Atlantis. It was phenomenal. Good god if they could only find a way to save the place she’d love to share it with some of her best friends. Zaven, Malcolm, Isabelle…Rosa knew that they could appreciate the beauty (if they were sober, for sure!) She noticed the golems and the statues, and they intrigued her further. The beauty let out a little squeal as she ran over to them, trying to get a better look of any of the runes that made them function and of their designs.
[break][break] “Thanks cutie.” The witch said when Cyrus spread his Sap Shroud spell over the party. It was a unique feeling. A new sort of mana to regard upon her skin, and it was surprisingly warm. For once, the beauty found herself tilting her head curiously over at the creature that flew around him. “Erm, might I ask, in hopes not to be rude, if you would be willing to tell me about that spirit you have?” She’d seen two before, Vulcan’s and Isabelle’s, so the concept of elemental spirits was not new to her, but the feminine on surprised her with its humanoid appearance.
[break][break] Once the party started moving along, Rosalia would finally notice the old man that sat brokenly by the staircase, and her eyes widened. Her echoing footsteps increased in pace as Artemis spoke courteously about the dangers of the place and how they could help him. The Black Bull quickly took off her backpack and offered the man a pack of soft red berries and some water.
[break][break] “These are delicious and fresh, you uh…look like you’d need some nutrition sir. If you wish to come with us I can carry you up?” She offered gently. Old people were, like kids…a weakness to her. Rosalia had never met her parents, but she always hoped that they were well and happy somewhere out there. Although considering the way witches operated, her father was probably dead in a ditch somewhere. Fuck. She could use some alcohol right about now.
[attr="class","florencetext"] It seemed that the four magic knights didn't need to name the crawler as it spoke to them. Which honestly surprised the vice captain as she'd never met a mana beast that could talk personally. Sure she had read stories about it being possible when she was younger but she figured they were only stories until now that was. Right Azygnas it is then. Thank you for the help and um sorry about almost killing you before. I tend to jump the gun when people I care about are in danger. The glass mage wasn't sure if the creature was still holding that against them or not but she figured it wasn't after all it was helping them get to there hopefully final place to end this whole shit show. However she still felt the need to say sorry after all it was her fault that Azygnas came so close to death. [break][break] As they flew over what looked to be mountains Lydia would turn to look back at them she was unaware that mountains could form under water. If they managed to survive this Lydia figured she could always ask the water mage if she had seen any others on one of her many trips out to see. There was of course also the Sunken in what seemed to be a court yard of this long forgotten castle. The pink haired mage would look at them with hatred after all they were the cause of the problem those things and whatever Dio was now. That's when she'd noticed the other ones that acted different than the others she assumed they were like the generals of the army as Lydia didn't know they were a hive mind. If we get the chance we should take the ones who moved towards Azygnas out. It seems like they are the ones who order the others so taking them out would weaken the sunken a lot. [break][break] As they arrived at the further point Azygnas could take them Lydia would get off the crawler and listen to what the creature said. Thank you however if they start to get to much leave you don't need to die for us. Lydia would then use her control to make a third sword handing it to Azygnas. Take this it will be able to heal your wounds for a while but it will vanish if we get to far away good luck my friend. Lydia would then follow the others inside an she to would spot the old man. However she wouldn't run to his aid as the vice captain knew the man didn't have much longer in the world. As she made her way over to the others she would let out a sad sigh. [break][break] I'm afraid he doesn't have much time left in the world. The pink haired mage would then hold out the glass sword to the old man. Here take this it will ease in pain you might be in however it can't stop you from dying of old age if that's what's killing you. If it's wounds then perhaps there is a chance you'll survive.
