It didn’t take years...hell it barely took months...The Daemon made their move in a big way though and now Raque was submerged...its citizens turned into fodder, food, and just general toys for the daemons as the domain was now secured by ruthless female ruler...Serena “The Maelstrom”. The alluring, sneaky daemon moved in the dead of night when the people would not be able to fight back at a time when the resistance would be at its lowest.
The alluring woman that entered the church that night was met by the attendants. They asked her name, and if she needed to confess or was in search of help, Serena looked at them with a satisfied smile on her face asked them if they could escort her to the altar of the water spirit, Undine and behind her...daemons began to march into the halls of the church defiling its very grounds as the creatures tore through pews and people that were onlooking. Serena just laughed as she walked into the grand hall of Undine at the eastern part of the building and destroyed the monuments and offerings of the spirits there before settling at the altar of Undine...a smile crept over her face as she took a hold of a relic that was buried under the altar, her hand moving through the monument like water. She pulled out a piece of pristine crystal that the last priest looked on with horror as he was left to watch Serena corrupt the crystal with her warped mana, turning the instrument of faith into a weapon of destruction…
Holding the “Orb of Souls” She felt her power bloom before summoning her army and casting a devastating spell that caused a lightning fast tsunami to slam into Raque and the surrounding area, turning it into a landscape of death and destruction. Those that did not die would soon wish they had as the horde of daemons that Serena summoned using her own magic coupled with the Orb...devastated everything and turned the once peaceful tourist city into a watery hellscape befitting the Daemon that called herself the queen of storms.
”Come, come brave Clover knights...the Orb of Souls and I are insatiably hungry.” Serena would say before letting out a terrifying laughter that could be heard throughout her new domain.
OOC
Let us be real here...Raque has been completely submerged underwater. The entire city is flooded with at least 10-20 meters of cold, murky water depending on where one is in the city. The taller buildings poke out of it, and the tips of most as well, but there are of course, sea creatures and other horrors lurking in the waters. Most of the citizens have been evacuated out or put in the Blue Rose Headquarters, but some were not as fortunate...
This is Serena, one of the 7 Arch-Daemon. Her domain is that of the water and she loves to make sure that any around know it as well. She has put the priests of Clover on pikes at the entrance to her domain as a sign of dominance. She has even teamed up with Sven to perform a simultaneous attack on two towns' Raque and Kikka to catch those “fearless” mages of Clover off guard.
You must defeat the sea daemon she has summoned, save the citizens not rescues, and then ultimately defeat the Arch-Daemon herself. This will not be easy, but those of you in Raque have no choice. She has blocked all escape from the city now, so all you can do is take those to the Knight base who need it, and fight your best fight. Good luck.
Event Objectives:
-Take out the Sea Daemon
-Rescue the citizens floating in the water (Those in the water take -40% to speed)
-Defeat Serena
Post your intro in Raque, you will be starting at the outskirts near the Blue Rose Headquarters.
Twas the night before a day off, when all through the base not member unbusy, not even a Junior. The day had started off slow all around the base as everyone was performing their daily duties. Naxel sat as his desk as he flipped through the different case files that this new promotion dawned upon him. It was a bunch of new faces that he knew he was going to have to learn. Their paperwork didn’t make them look pitiful like the minor cases he once had. These new people were real criminals that were deadly and dangerous to the entire kingdom. It didn’t bother the Noble that a bunch of them could end his life if he were to ever have to personally deal with one. He knew that dealing with dangerous people was a part of the job before he even decided to join this squad at the Exams. Though, the paper work went through the day and into the night. Naxel had all of a sudden became interesting whenever the sound of head thumps rang from the hall. Naxel rose out of his chair to head for the door to see what it could be. By the time he approached the door was when a member of his squad flew by running. “Hey! Magic Knight what is the rush?” He screamed at the member who acted like the base was on fire. That person would then turn around whenever he heard the Nobles voice yell to him. “Sir!” They screamed as they can back to his door. “We have received... an urgent distress call... from the Blue Rose Headquarters!...” Speaking loudly with having to take breaths every other word. Naxels eyes would quickly grow wide as the curiosity of what was going on surged through his body. “Well... Out with it Knight! What is going on??” Beginning to become inpatient with the Knight that was trying to catch his breath.[break][break]
Naxel waited patiently for a brief moment as he allowed the Knight to catch his breath. It had started to bother him as the Knight kept taking his time breathing as there was a distress going on. He would then slam his fist against the door frame with an ill tone to his voice. “Out with it! If there is a distress call I need to know what is going on!” Staring at the knight with an agitated look on his face. The Noble wanted to know what was going on, so he could do what he needed to be done. “Sorry Sir!... The Blue Rose Squad just sent out a request for Magic Knights to assist the town of Raque. Apparently the whole city is under water. There were people who managed to get to safety, but some were still out in the water.” Naxel listened carefully to each word that came out of his mouth. When he was done all Naxel could think of was that it must be serious if Flora and her Captain couldn’t handle it. The Noble would then think for a quick moment before giving a response to his co-member in front of him. “Okay, continue on to the Captains Office. Shes in a meeting with the rest of the higher ups, so they will be able to dispatch more Knights as needed. Also, inform her that I am heading straight there to assess the situation. Now go!” Ordering the Knight to continue on to inform the Captain. They would then nod in agreement as the Noble would make his way behind his desk to grab his newly obtained item. He hasn’t been able to use it yet, and figured that it would be a good time to try it out. So, once it was in hand, Naxel went down to the squads transport portal to make a quick trip to Raque.[break][break]
When the Azure Deer jumped through the portal he had appeared in a large nightly wooded area. The portal had quickly closed behind him to where he couldn’t go back like he needed too. His face grew blank right before he slapped his head against the tree next to him. “Damn thing is not worth the price of animal manure.” Saying aggravatingly to himself before deciding to make his way in the direction he thinks raque was. He would take this way until the edge of the woods became visible to him by the nightly moon. Though, nothing wasn’t a beautiful sight to see once his eyes would look out passed the edge. The look on his face grew wide, and his expression was horrid. Naxel wasn’t close to the town to travel quick by foot, but was close enough to see that the entire town was underwater. “What is the...” What he saw had him lost for words, but he knew he couldn’t hesitate. His arm flew out to his side as his Shadow Chariot quickly formed next to him. Naxel mounted his transportation as quick as he could before taking off towards the town as it would only take a few moments to get there by flight. Once he came across the outskirts of the town there were a lot of people gathered together. Some were injured while others were trying to help. There were some Blue Rose Knights around, but none were any that he knew. Naxel then went to the ground to dismount his transport before it would disappear into the wind. The only thing he knew to do, for now, was to help out as much as he could until the situation would get under control.[break][break]
[break] Items[break] Shadow Kings Staff[break] Shadow Chariot[break][break] TL;DR Word had reached way out to the Azure Deer Base that Raque was underwater. When Naxel learned this he immediately dispatched himself out to assist with the situation. Once he arrived, he began helping out with the injured as best as he could.[break]
[attr=class, cyrustext]It was not often that Cyrus was able to find time to rest during his busy day to day activities at the Golden Dawn's headquarters. Between helping out new recruits, training, and doing paperwork, the closest thing to an actual break he could usually manage was a little plate of snacks and a beverage while filling out forms.
And while it had seemed, for the briefest of moments, that he might have found such an opportunity on this night, the myriad of people rushing through the base's halls and the panic that was setting in told him that this would not be the case. Cyrus pulled one of the lower ranking knights aside and asked him what exactly was going on, and was informed of the situation in Raque as they spoke. Definitely an emergency, he thought. After thanking the older man he asked around for the location of the Golden Dawn's spatial magic user and quickly tracked him down, thanks in part to his recently developing Ki and being familiar with the man's energy.
"Send me to Raque, on the double. Blue Rose HQ." He instructed the man, who nodded and did as he was told immediately. A gate opened beside the two, and the sap wizard stepped through and found himself nearby his destination, along the outskirts of the Blue Rose's base of operations. Sure enough, just as he had been informed, almost the entirety of the city was underwater. The sight called to mind a certain sunken city he had recently visited, but now was not the time for comparisons. He looked around for a moment, in search of anyone who could give him an update on the town's situation, and could barely make out a familiar face in the dark of knight that seemed just as stunned as himself. "Naxel!" Cyrus called out, making his way over to him. Hama emerged from his grimoire and took a look around the port, eyes widening at the insane sight.
"I hope you guys are good at swimming..." She muttered as she stood on top of her partner's head for a better look at the moonlit aquarium.
Titaniya was on her way to rauque currently in her standard dark outfit with her black bull mantle over it when she would soon notice a sudden influx of mages going past on their brooms, one stopping to talk to her filling her in on what everything is about. Rauque was in danger and magic knights were being called to the Blue Rose HQ in order to meet up and then tackle this threat.
With this info in hand she would speed up running to keep up to get to the base as fast as she can, arriving soon enough to see the gathering of people, moving to join them while she looked everything over, rather sure she would be in less, so she would change later on, but first she would be there for any sort of debrief or planning that was needed in order to deal with everything. Staying silent as she moved to stand with two of the others already gathered so far.
[attr="class","florencetext"] It was a nice and quite night in the port town of Raque at least for now... Lydia didn't normally go out this late at night let alone so far from the crimson lion base. Not because she was scarred sure it was more dangerous at night in most towns but most sane people wouldn't try and fight someone as powerful as the vice captain of the crimson lions. Her reason for not going out late was simply because she woke up early in the mornings so being out all night meant she didn't get much sleep. However tonight she couldn't avoid it as she wanted to get a gift for Artemis and the shop was only open at night for reasons she was unsure of. It was suppose to be a quick and easy trip however that would soon change as she was talking with the mana she would sense a type of mana familiar to her but not in a good way. Before she could spot the source of the mana she would spot the massive wave over taking the town and heading towards her. Without wasting anytime she would cast a spell. [break][break] Light Magic: Hildr As the glass mage transformed and grew an extra thirty five inches she would grab the shop owner flying into the air. It seemed however she wasn't fast enough as the top of the the wave would strike the mans leg making a sound she knew all to well as it broke his leg. By now she was able to sense a few deamons in the town but couldn't fight and carry the man at the same time. Lydia would then make her way to the blue rose base which seemed to survived the flood. As the pink haired mage landed she would hand off the man to a low ranking blue rose mage who was dealing with the injured town people. Does anyone know what the fucks going on here other than the town just got flooded?

Get to Raque, that's all she was told, she barely had enough time to dress up. Willow Omens was one of the few selected for this mission because of her affinity to water, not because of her nature, not because of her strength, because she may be able to benefit from the experience and be of assistance with her attunement to the area. But what happened? Well everyone went for a dip, a tsunami hit, something akin to what had overtaken Old Haven nearly a century ago at this point, a town, swallowed by the ocean, was not comparable to an island swallowed by the sea, yet there it was the analog, and that was enough for the pink-haired tribalist.
First thing was first, she had to get a change of cloaks, yes, cloaks, enough silver eager branded cloaks of fuzzy fur to wear over her body that she assumed the form of an amorphous state of silvery fringe and fuzz. Willow's bangs and teal-hued eyes were the only things poking out from this mass of cloaks, with several thrown over the top of her noggin to hide her body. She was still innately nervous about the majority of things she did, but at least she was able to boldly go forward, and have her panic attack later.
From the silver eagle base, she'd form up with the group gathering at the blue rose headquarters, just on the outskirts of the deluge of drowning. Getting there by her own means, Willow would, upon arrival, be witness to two people she had yet to meet, and two people whom she knew well. One of whom was someone she went through that cursed scary home with, the other was someone who was prone to hugging her at random whenever they met. "H-hello! Reporting..." She saluted, her voice a bit muffled from under all of that fabric. "Willow Omens, reporting-- reporting in to lend assistance."
She would focus on rescuing people, unless there was some need for her minuscule spells, if only she were stronger, she thought to herself. Stronger like that Artemis woman, or strong like the supposed person she used to be, according to what her captain had spoken to her about at length. Was she really another Willow Omens in this body? She couldn't help but keep her mind side-tracking to this train of thought, to the point that she was distracted at times.
The morning had started out like any other morning had. The doll-like mage had gotten up just as the sun reached her eyes and proceeded to run a bath, after that hellish desert she had requested a few days just to relax and centre herself. It was honestly something she hoped never to need to do again but there was nothing saying that it wouldn't as it was part of her life as a magic knight. It had given her a lot to think upon although not all of it was all that kind. That caused quite the dismay in her mind as she could feel that unforgiving darkness in her bubble up to the surface for just a second making her lose her breath. This was a darkness that only her captain knew she possessed and it was a closely guarded secret to the pair, during her training he had told her that this curse or whatever she had wasn't her fault and that they would handle it together if she gave him a chance to show her how. She had agreed but made him promise in return that if she ever became a danger to him, her squad, the innocent or the kingdom as a whole he would put her down with his own hands. He had reluctantly agreed and they worked together to try and keep her darkness under control until she herself was ready to face it, at that point in time she didn't believe that was ever going to happen. she was happy being a pacifist and only doing healing for others. [break][break] She stripped from her night clothing and washed before moving into her bath to relax, thinking over the training she and Zaven done so far, she knew it was a far cry from what the end of what was needed but it was helping at least for now. It was her emotions that were the issue and that alone could make or ultimately break her and cause her early demise, still, she was happy for the failsafe in place all be it a reluctant participant being her potential executioner, in her mind, it was still safer for everyone to have it there if things with her took a turn for the worse. She soaked for a while thinking about what she would do with her granted time off, she didn't really feel like going shopping... well... that wasn't entirely true. She did want to go shopping just not on her own and so thought she might take a trip to Kikka, perhaps one of the two friends she made on the journey to hell and back would like to go shopping with her so would take a trip to Raque first to pick up Seren. Seren, after all, was a member of the Blue Roses magic knight squad so she'd be easy to find, that and she did say that she would do things with the hyperactive witch including sitting down and just listening to the world around them in quiet. In honesty right now that seemed exactly what she needed and didn't even care if she came across her mother. [break][break] With the day decided she got out of her bath and dried off before putting on a beautifully lavish white and ocean blue silk hanfu with matching makeup, she put her hair up with silver pins with sapphire tassels, if a person looked at the tassels they would see them sparkling a little due to the crushed diamonds that had been woven into it and on her feet, she wore blue silk shoes. Going towards the door she put on her mantle and picked up the broom she was still borrowing from Elenor before heading out. She did hope that Seren would be in the headquarters when she arrived, not that she minded too much if she wasn't as she could just wait around if needed though it might be a bit of a bore in all honesty. Still, she made her way down the stairs into the Golden Dawn squads courtyard and sat side-saddle before taking off towards her destination. She still hated flying as she still felt as if she was going to plummet to her death so like always hummed enjoying the feel of the breeze around her and warmth of the sun on her face. [break][break] Before too long, she found herself stopping her eyes opening as she felt something... something she didn't like the feel of and she honestly didn't know what it was as she only recently started to learn sensory so hadn't ever felt anything like it before, she moved quickly forward her eyes going wide as she saw something horrifying... Raque was submerged... [break][break] She took a moment to gather herself not wanting to be overwhelmed right now, it would do no one any good as far as she was concerned. She did have to wonder how she kept getting into these situations however, it was like fate was playing games with her and to be honest she was sick of it. Soon she saw what she believed to be a chariot made of shadow she believed and moved towards it carefully, well that was until she saw the mantle of an Azure Deer squad member. "Do you have any idea what's going on?" She asked the other sheepishly, she knew the reputation the Azure Deer when it came to sensory so felt like an ant in comparison to the other "I feel something awful but I'm newly awakened to sensing things..." she admitted, she was at least trying to better herself so things that happened in the desert temple wouldn't happen again or at least would be less likely to happen again. It was then she heard a somewhat familiar voice and looked down below herself "Cyrus!" she called out floating down allowing him to get on the broom if he so wanted that way the trio would at least be away from the water if it was needed, she at least had a bad feeling about that to say the least "We need a plan and to find out what the hell is going on here." she admitted, there had to be others that were sent here so really they needed to find them as well.
Serena had already laid siege by the time the Blue Rose had fully grasped the situation, the city of Raque was now under the domain of a Daemon and an invasion force that was unlike any that had been mentioned before between the reports of the Crimson King, the Shadow of Dawn, and the Wizard King himself. What exactly had fucking happened, there was no warning...not even a telltale sign that it was a daemon invasion until a mage had actually managed to slay one of the creatures.
The Golden Dawn, Azure Deer and Black Bull mages were the first to arrive at the Blue Rose Base and were gathering information, soon as the influx of people evacuating the town, the Crimson Lion mage showed up and was looking for an explanation as well. A member of the Blue Rose’s intelligence gathering unit stepped forward and bowed, she was truly disheveled and nervous about all this...especially with Naxel and Cyrus there in the all female base.
”U...uh Thank you all for coming h-here and I am sorry for the st-stress.” She visibly swallows as there are sounds of agony and pain as injured people begin to flood the courtyard of the base. ”Right...I will get right to it. Raque has been reduced to a watery ruin...a great wave appeared out of nowhere and with it an immeasurable amount of daemon began to pour into the city as it became flooded. From what we can gather, the church seems to be an epicenter as a great whirlpool has formed above it, and a storm has begun to rage overhead. We need to save whatever souls may be trapped in the water still and find a way to get rid of whatever is causing this to happen...It is going to be a journey to get there...b-but as I see you all I know if anyone can do it...you can.” The female mage said as she looked up, teary eyed as she seemed scared out of her mind but was holding back and choking on her own sorrow.
Serena had already felt the mana signatures of the mages that found themselves at the edge of her new domain as she laughed. The transformed priests and mutilated villagers that were less than human...or worse filled the church with blood. ”It is good that those fools have come here...let’s start to attack ANY living thing that still bobs on the surface, and I will lure them here under the guise of a villager...We do this my way, I can’t wait to turn these mages into more power for the orb.” She says with a maniacal laugh that seems to resonate in the very water and the daemon began to snatch up any soul out of the water and would mutilate the unfortunate soul before diving back down to deliver the souls of those unfortunate to fall to the scourge.
There are no orders, just a cry for help. Get your asses out there and fight back. Save any you come across as you work your way to the church. Use this round to formulate a plan and coordinate with the Blue Rose for accepting any survivors of this brutal act of war.

Time had begun to feel like it was moving a hundred miles a second. People were all over the place, running around trying to do what they can to help with the current set of events. Naxel had watched for a split moment to see if there was any sort of organization that had been set up for things to run smoothly. Over to one side there were a lot of people that looked as if they were injured. The other side there were a people that looked about, but were scared out of their minds. In front of him he also saw that there were necessities being handled out for those that need it. Everything looked like it was in pretty good shape around here besides the city being underwater part. After the Azure Deer had taken in everything that he could was when he decided to take his own action. His first stop was over to the injured section where he saw this scared little boy being looked at by a Blue Rose Knight. The Noble made his way over to take a knee right in from of them. They were crying their eyes out while screaming that he wanted his mother. It was a horrible sight to bare witness as he couldn’t image what this little boy has been through tonight. “Hey there little guy. I know you are scared, but just know that help has arrived. But I am going to need you to stop crying for me okay? This wonderful Magic Knight is going to take care of you. Okay?” The boy listened as his cries had continued on at first. As he listened he had became a little more come by the end of Naxel speaking. Tears still fell from the young boys face, but he had calmed down just enough for the Blue Rose Member to do her work. Naxel then rose up off his knee to see if there was anything else he could help with. There was a older female that had a few different Knights around her to assist with her injuries. Right before he was about to make his way over was when he heard an unfamiliar voice sound like it was speaking to him.[break][break]
After the voice had struck his ears, the Azure Deer Knight turned around to see a member of the Golden Dawn. They had asked him if he knew about anything that had caused tonight’s night of events. He shook his head to inform her that he didn’t, and then heard her say that she had sensed something awful. When those words struck his ears was when he had began noticing the a weird mana as well. With everything he came into, there was no way of him focusing his mind enough to do everything at once. He would continue to feel this mana when he heard his name get called out by a familiar voice. Then, the golden dawn member had screamed out the name Cyrus, afterwards. Naxel quickly knew who it was at that point to know it was his old friend Cyrus Elwood. It had been quite a while since the two had last seen each other. But Naxel was still happy to see the man either way. Then, the female Golden Dawn member had suggested that we needed a plan to figure out what to do here. Naxel then turned his head around to give the crowd a look once again. This time, when looking, he noticed that a tall as fuck female had made her way to the Blue Rose Base. Upon staring at the female was when he noticed that it looked like Vice-Captain Lydia Ravencrest of the Crimson Lions. With her being spotted, Naxel motioned his arm for the two Golden Dawn members to follow him to her. There were a couple others that had made there way to the base as well. One of them was Naxels former Captain, Willow. When he arrived at the Vice-Captain he had noticed one of the Blue Rose Knights approach them. She had started off by thanking them all for coming to their aid. Naxel could tell that she was kind of acting as if she was nervous. He would then realize that he and Cyrus were men, and that the Blue Roses were all women. The Knight continued on anyway to give them all details of went on tonight.[break][break]
Once she was done, Naxel had a quick thought run through his mind on the situation. The first thing he figured they should do was rescue as many people as they could. Since there was an officer within the Magic Knights present he figured she would be the one everyone at this location should go too. “I feel we should try to rescue as many people as we can within the water still. Me and Cyrus have worked together before on a few missions in the past. So, me and him can use my chariot to scout for those we can.” Turning towards his old friend and partner with a look of determination. “Lets get get going, if its good with you?” Saying to Cyrus right before he began making his way over towards the waters edge. When he arrived, his arm was held out to his side. The bracer on his arm had began to glow with his shadowy mana. Then, a chariot of pure shadows formed right out in front of them, over the water. Naxel turned back to hopefully see Cyrus with him. Whether he had come or not, the Azure Deer Knight would then fly off over the water to begin his search for anyone left in the water.
[break] Items[break] Shadow Kings Staff[break] Shadow Chariot[break][break] TL;DR Naxel had helped out a fellow Magic Knight with a young boy crying. He would then be approached by a member of the golden dawn before his old friend Cyrus arrived. The Azure Deer would then take notice to the Crimson Lion Vice-Captain, and make his way over. They were approached by a Blue Rose Knight that gave them a run down of the situation. Once Done Naxel took it upon himself to begin searching the waters. He extended his advice for Cyrus to help him with the search. Whether he took the offer of not, Naxel would then fly off over the water to begin his search.[break]
[attr=class, cyrustext]It was not long after Cyrus and Hama arrived in Raque that more knights began to show up as well, several of which he recognized besides Naxel. There was Hinota, a junior of his in the Golden Dawn. Lydia of the Crimson Lions, who he had previously worked with in what was, as far as he knew, an unrelated incident that was also rather aquatic in nature. He even spotted Willow, the young woman he had met while investigating the Eldritch Home among the crowd. Apparently she had made it into the knights. While he was impressed and happy to see so many familiar faces, now was not the time to be distracted by pleasantries such as greetings.
As luck would have it, Hinota spotted him and gave him a short lift so that he could better meet up with the others. The newcomers were all being briefed on the situation by the knights who had already been here. He and Naxel were the only males present as the Blue Rose knights explained things for them all. The girl speaking even seemed a bit nervous at their presence, though from what he knew of their squad it wasn't especially surprising. Naxel chimed in after the briefing was completed, providing his own thoughts on how they could proceed. Cyrus considered the Azure Deer's proposal. "I'll agree to that." He said with a nod, following after his friend as he approached the edge of the water. "It isn't much, but I have been starting to train my Ki when I have the opportunity available. If nothing else, it should be easier for us to pinpoint people who are stuck around the town."
Naxel then used a spell that Cyrus was unfamiliar with, summoning an impressive looking chariot through what seemed to be his bracers as a medium. With a nod, Cyrus stepped onto the vehicle with him. Hama looked at the mage with an annoyed expression, still remembering how he had poked at her the first time they met. She wasn't petty enough to let such an interaction in the past get in the way of the work that they had to do, but it still irritated her to have to work with the nosy boy again. "You better just focus on finding and rescuing people, you hear me?!" She snipped, stepping down from her partner's head and onto her usual perch on the sap wizard's shoulder. Cyrus ignored her for the moment, knowing the spirit well enough to tell that she was just trying to focus on their mission; even if Hama wasn't a totally official member of the Golden Dawn, she might as well have been with her devotion to their missions.
Before Naxel and them departed, Cyrus turned to the knight who had filled them in on things. "You mentioned the storm and whirlpool both over the church, but what about any creatures?" He asked. "Something this unnatural happening, I don't think it's out of the question that monsters or dangerous sea creatures could be roaming these waters as well. Have there been any reports of such sightings? If so, that would give us something else to keep an eye out for; not only to deal with such threats, but they may be targeting the trapped civilians. They could lead us to stranded survivors."

[attr="class, cyrusstats] Combat Notes Joined Naxel on the Shadow Chariot to search for civilians
[attr="class","florencetext"] It seemed that Lydia wasn't actually the first mage to arrive in fact there was already an azure deer black bull and golden dawn mage at the base as well. While Lydia didn't know the first she had worked with Cyrus before which also happened to involve a water problem. If she didn't know any better she'd say the sap mage was just bad luck however it seemed that just like her Cyrus happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. After a few moments two more female mages would show up at the base another golden dawn mage and a silver eagle mage. Lydia would take a moment to sense there mana assuming none of them were hiding it and there ranks were all over the place with Lydia being the strongest out of the five. Not long after that a blue rose mage would start to speak up giving the team the run down of what was going on. At mention of church being the epicenter of the world pool over the town the glass mage would close her eyes and try to find her brothers mana but try as she might it didn't seem like he was at the blue rose base so all she could do was hope he wasn't in the town currently or if he was that Augustus was at least somewhere safe. [break][break] As Cyrus and Naxel spoke about there own plan Lydia would close her eyes and focus not on sensing anything. Instead she would try and tap into Silas' memories as perhaps he had ran into whatever was causing this. However while she did manage to tap into his side of things like most times she tried to willingly view his life she was unable to find what she was looking for. Instead it was childhood time some others that she didn't need to see and dungeons that the former captain of the coral peacocks had explored. As Cyrus started to ask questions about the mana beast Lydia would finally speak up herself. Yes while I was on my way to the blue rose base I flew over the water and was able to sense deamons in the water. However strong they are and what they look like I can't tell you as I was busy bring someone to the base so I didn't focus on them to much. It seemed the two male mages had came up with there own little plan and would start getting to work on it leaving the three female knights on there own. [break][break] The vice captain would then turn and face the other three. I'm going to make my way to the church to try and takeout who or whatever is causing this. I don't recommend tagging along because if this thing is what I think it is you three are out match. Just worry about rescuing as many people as you can. I'll do the same as I make my way to the church. Lydia would then turn to blue rose mage. Do you guys have anything here I can use to signal you if I find and get someone to safety?

Oh man, this was, admittedly, more than she could cope with. Already she was starting to hyperventilate. Silver Eagles had a reputation of being elite, a cut above the rest, they were known for being the counterpart to the Golden Dawn, the two arms of the cream of the crop. Yet here she was, dressed up in layer upon layer of spare cloaks, with only her eyes showing. People who knew her would recognize her mana presence, and those who knew of her would recognize the mannerisms of a girl who was scared to do most anything and usually used her fear to fuel herself forward.
When it came to making plans, that was not her forte. It may have been her thing in the previous timeline, the pre-shattering, the time before she was a meek doe of a girl who was terrified of her own shadow for good reason. She didn't remember that she only remembered being her, and always being in New Haven, a place she could call home, call her literal Haven. Her gaze lowered to the floor, hearing everyone discuss their plans of attack and rescue, she was mulling everything over, from senses alone she felt she wasn't a proper fit for this endeavor.
The pink-haired tribalist was something of a weakling at the start of a fight, she wasn't the person to look toward for the longest sensory ranges, she didn't even have experience under her belt she could remember. But, she was someone who had a connection to water magic, she was someone who was exuberant enough in her emotions that she could empathize with most anyone, and she was a magic knight now. She did have a duty to uphold, and though her knees shook, knocking together, she was trying to steel her nerves long enough.
Taking a deep breath, those teal pools of hers closed before her visage lifted, gaze looking on to the blue rose knight, "I am having wonder," she audibly gulped her nerves down, "Having the spares of brooms for use? Preferring one with three seats for balances? Or an item to be sending people to here?" Her speech was still broken when speaking in Common, though she was getting better, at least Naxel and Cyrus would be able to tell that from her words alone.
Of course, if she was given an item or a broom, or both preferably, she would have the things she needed to operate on the rescue side of this mission. Something she could do, and if need be, she could defend anyone at least for a short while. Would anyone go with her? Would she be solo? She hoped she wouldn't be solo, that would be terrifying. Regardless, she was prepared.
Grasping onto one cloak on her body, slender and pale fingers clutched onto the cloth, before throwing them all off in one fell tug. Discarding them all into a pile to the ground next to her, she revealed herself. Pointed ears of an elf, pink hair that framed around her face with two excessively long sections that draped over her back and down half of the way to her waist. Teal-hued eyes with flecks of magenta gleaming in them. Around her upper body was a poncho that stopped at her midriff, a sarong that wrapped about her waist and went to her right knee. Underneath the poncho and sarong were dark-colored garbs that were fit for a casual situation, like shorts and a tank top to wear about the house. On her legs were long leather laces that went down to Greek-Roman fashion sandals.
"Kuekonv eki wukhyni uw hoxij hti!" She declared in the language of her people, something that only anyone who studied the culture of New Haven may have a chance of understanding.
WC: 636 TWC: 1040 Translation of Willow's phrase at the end "The Tides of Fortune are Roaring."
Hinota watched as the Azure Deer squad member moved towards a Blue Rose member who was having a bit of a difficult time with a young boy who was not only hurt but scared. She bit her bottom lip as she felt like he might not have heard him over everything that was going on as she was quite soft-spoken or it could have been that he was ignoring her completely, she just didn't know in all honesty. What she could agree on was that the young boy's safety both physically and mentally needed to come first and it seemed like the elder male managed to do it with a bit of effort. It was a slither of hope in the sea of woe though if she was honest with herself but at the same time if they could get more and more slithers of hope then perhaps they could pierce the veil of suffering that was on the town. She just watched quietly from the broom she was on wondering what could be so powerful that it could submerge an entire town so quickly, then again she also wondered who would be stupid enough to attack a town that had a magic knight squads headquarters located in it. Soon enough the Azure Deer member came back and shook his head, she could only guess that he had heard her question and now was replying to it but she couldn't be one hundred percent sure on the matter. [break][break] She had moved down to allow Cyrus onto the broom before once again returning back to the Azure Deer member, she really wished she had asked his name but no sooner than they had got to the same level as him once more he had headed towards the Blue Roses headquarters but noticed that he had motioned for them to follow him. She nodded and quietly followed her eyes scanning over the water in case someone required help along the way but it would seem that the Blue Rose squad members were managing quite well on their own to get people out the water and to safety in the immediate area. It was a good thing but Raque was still kind of big and though the Blue Roses squad was a rather popular one with young women and some more than flamboyant males there was still not nearly enough of them to defend their headquarters, search for people, get people out of the water, transport them back to the headquarters, deal with their injuries, deal with scared children let alone finding and dealing with the cause of this catastrophe. Soon enough it wasn't just them but a tall woman whom she didn't recognize wearing a crimson lion mantle, she wasn't going to judge the other on their appearance as she had no room to given she looked like a living doll and a woman that seemed more than a little anxious wearing a Silver Eagles mantle. [break][break] In honesty, last time she came across someone from that squad she believed them an absolute idiot has he had waited outside the patron's door reading a book for her when waiting outside the estate would have been better or even going inside and informing the patron's that there would be another who would be turning up shortly. That was before the whole glaring at the patron for some off the cuff remarks and swearing at them in his and Hinota's native tongues while they weren't in the room. It was highly unprofessional in her mind. It was true that the Silver Eagles had some of the most elite members of society in it and some very strong mages to boot within their ranks but that meant nothing if they didn't have the brains to know when to bite back their emotions and keep their cool. From what she had seen of the woman so far she honestly wasn't suited to a squad like the Silver Eagles so wondered if there was more to it and if there was she could perhaps offer some advice or help, but it would depend on how this went forward. She didn't think there would be anything wrong with bonding with others even under these circumstances as she would need to rely on the other after all to watch her back. [break][break] "I know my father said to watch the tide of battle but I don't think he exactly had this in mind..." she said more to herself than anyone else, then her eyes went wide as the severity of the situation focused. Her eyes locked onto the Blue Rose member after she explained everything to them "Is my mother here? Is she hurt? What about Seren?" she asked them a clear panic in her voice as she showed genuine concern from the mother she was distant from and her friend, of course, she was worried overall but she had a connection with these two individuals "Hana Yuiee is my mother." she notified the other and was glad when she was told she was out dealing with something for the squad and that Seren herself was away doing something or other but she would likely returning sometime soon. She felt relieved at least the two women were safe at current. Hearing that Cyrus would happily go along with the member of the Azure Deer but that wasn't before the tall woman spoke her eyes going wide as she heard a word she never wanted to hear or be anywhere near. She had seen just how much damage taking part in the shattering had done to her parents and other magic knights, she honestly wasn't equipped to do much other than healing and she didn't know if that would even do much good either at her current strength, still, it wasn't like she could just go back home and pretend she didn't see this. [break][break] Seeing that the member of the Crimson Lions left and Cyrus left with the member of the Azure Deer, she hovered looking at the last person there with her "I guess we should remain together for safety." she said to the other with a weak smile "I'm Hinota Yuiee of the Golden Dawn." she said her voice was gentle waiting until to see if she was indeed given a broom if not she would offer her to ride with her. "Wkenxj za yyn fa tima E." she said in the girl's native tongue knowing that if she felt more comfortable speaking like this she could at least hold a conversation normally with the other. She found the language fascinating when growing but she never believed that she would have the chance to actually use it, live and learn she guessed.

Books had said that years ago there had been an operatic singer. Her stage name was different than her real name, but even that wasn't the one she had been born with. Her career had been what was placed into books, not anything more. Most change only the surname when they become wed, but the entire thing had been transformed. The woman’s roots had been abandoned, not that citizen roots were all that much to leave behind in the first place. Joseph had been told that his hair and eye color was from her, but the young mans mind could not remember anything about her. No attempt to was made, for it would likely to trigger memories concerning his aunties brother. A person that had stolen all sound from the pink haired person. This was an effect that had lasted many years after last seeing that person. Verbally talking was still a hard to pull off when emotions ran high, but that was fine. This happened to have been a day that the azure deer had been in the training room for much of the day, trying to busy himself with improvement. Today hadn't been fruitful, no matter the efforts. Most of the day he had been slightly distracted by thoughts of Misses Janine Cobborn.
What was more frustrating than trying so hard and yet getting nowhere? It was knowing why it was happening but being unsure how to stop it. All the sweat on their person felt unearned and wasted, but there was no good earned from sulking. Joseph let out a sigh before smiling. Forget about ever knowing about her. The dead cannot tell their secrets when it's not recorded and those that know them refuse to tell. The career, appearance, voice, none of that made a difference. Joseph had been heading down a flight of stairs with this in mind, already feeling the grip of the unknown past letting go. Everything downstairs was in chaos, leaving him to feel confused. Soon the Azure Deer member had a mission given to them. There had been no thought to question it, things were too maddened within the base. It was clearly an emergency, whatever was happening. This lead to the orange peach haired young man to run down more stairs, eventually making it to the bases Spatial Doorway. If it was an emergency and he needed to get to the blue rose headquarters in Raque then it only made sense to use it.
The junior ranked magic knight was under no false thinking, he understood just how weak they were. This didn't cause any flinching or pause in his movements. He arrived on the other side around unfamiliar foliage. Was this because he had never been to the city before? That didn't matter, because there was always a way to fix being lost. He used his hands, signing “reverberation” in order to activate the needed spell. Bit's of carbon matter floated up, making a quiet tapping sound. Soon a temporary map was created, along with horrible tunes that twisted his heart. Whatever was going on was certainly not something he fully understood, only that it was something terribly dark. One of their pale hands touched the Azure Deer mantle before he started to run towards the blue rose magic knight headquarter. First find out what was going on, then act on that information. The young man was late to the debriefing, but had heard up to the point of 'we need to save' while rushing. By the time he had arrived, people had already started to disperse. Should he go too? But he currently only really knew different types of sensory spells.
Peach pink eyes looked back to the map his skills had created, one that was humming with a number of different tunes from a multitude of instruments. What typically sounded pleasant or magical was currently a chaotic mishmash of different sounds. It wouldn't make sense for an emergency to sound pretty anyway. Not feeling all that happy with the idea of going anywhere alone, Cobborn headed for the people that were left. There was no way their emotions weren't out of the roof, so his hands quickly moved to do the talking for him. What would happen if nobody could understand sign language there? He would have to find another way to communicate, or figure out how to have a calm heart even in situations such as these. The words he signed? “Hi, I'm Joseph Cobborn from the Azure Deers. I don't think it would be good to move alone. May I move with some of you on the task of saving others?” Would they want him? It would make things easier, but even if it didn't happen? Joseph was still going to try, even solo. That sounded stupid and dangerous for someone so low ranked, but that mattered little in comparison to those in danger.
If you can't do something one way, simply find another way of doing it. This was true in both music and life. Supposing that one cannot rush into an attack, find another way to save people. Supposing that signing didn't work? He would then need to force himself to find another way to communicate. If someone waited or things to happen, then everything would pass that individual by. All of this accumulated to made their reasoning for trying to be a flexible thinker and actor. Their peachy pink eyes were not blind to the water flooded town, nor the possible dangers. Because of the map he currently had out, avoiding those dangers to save others should be easy... But there was always illusions and other ways to clog a sensory user.
So...things were happening. Lydia suggested going on her own to the center of the city to stop the cause of this entire event, claiming that she would potentially be the only one capable of doing so, which the Blue Rose attendant went to answer as Naxel moved to go to the edge of the water with the Golden Dawn mage, Cyrus right behind him. It seemed as though the other Golden Dawn mage, Hinota and the other two mages were already doing their best to figure out the situation. Hinota found out about her mother Hana and friend Seren, while Willow seemed ready to get the job done. The Black Bull however, was the odd one out as she just loomed over people like some annoying menace. Not too long later, as with the arrival with Hinota in the first place, a second Azure Deer showed up and was not at all in favor of splitting the group just yet, The Blue Rose Attendant asked for Naxel and Cyrus to come back inside to answer their questions.
”Yes there are enemies, some a little more fearsome than others, and some seem to be mutated versions of commonly seen mana beasts that stalk the docks. I will need to get numbers on how many people we have here, but we do not have much in the way of getting the stranded people stuck out there. The best we can do is offer you all a large rowboat...our resources are limited as well as our forces are now spreading out to try and contain whatever this is to just Raque. The best course of action is to have all of you move as a group and attend to the four separate areas of raque. The Hangman’s Hill should still be visible, the never dying tree stands there...The Lighthouse on the shore area, the central area where the Church is of course, and then the lower lying living area set up long ago...it was below sea level already and likely the heaviest hit. Let me know if I can help further, I must attend to the wounded and get started setting up a triage. The large rowboats are in the courtyard, so have at them if you need them. She says before bowing and leaving the party to their own devices.
Come up with a plan, or don't and suffer the consequences. Failure to leave the base after this round will result in ¼ of your survivors being killed and rewards to decrease.
