Sighing after they had cleared out the majority of the masses, Willow looked off to the distance, trying to get a feel for what was going on here. All she could tell was there was a rather dangerous signature of mana, tainted water by the feel of it. Judging by the mass of magic fueled water drowning the city. And her concentration was broken by a level of concern with a scream.
Jumping as she grabbed her grimoire and readied to fight. But it was simply Hinota having a freakout due to something that Naxel did. And she could trust Naxel, then again, that was the lingering aura of the former Willow. That little aura which was smiling behind the new incarnation, and fading out for now, after putting a hand on the younger Willow's head. She could almost hear the words, clear as day, You got this, you're gonna be much better than I was, just don't get too famous. We'll both hate it in the long run. She shuddered for a moment before looking over her shoulder.
She was having quite the case of existentialism right now, and now was not the time. SHe had to shake her head vigorously to snap out of it.
Pointing back at the water, she'd start unleashing her spells form before, siphoning off mana from anything she struck. Part of her peoples' uniqueness was their shared trait of draining mana, specializing in hunting mana beasts for this purpose. She continued to unleash three shot bursts of her Drizzle Shot into the water, hitting or missing due to it being a straight shot spell. Meanwhile, Hunting Flow was thrown into the water, seeking out anything she could hit near the surface while she channeled the spells.
"I am being the looking out! Please be performing a scanning to the area. I would very much enjoy the possibility of knowing the remaining numbers!"
With the residents with the Blue Rose knights, and the item in tow, Cyrus decided it was time to get a move on. After a brief goodbye and a communication spell it was apparent that something deeper was going on, but after a quick thought and telling the group about the item he saw with the priest...he decided to go to the Church.
The Church-Lydia, Estart
Albeit a rocky start, the two mages moved forward into the church. Their tactics and spells were quick, receiving word from Naxel and Cyrus, Lydia was quick to report on the situation there before ordering Cyrus to go to the others to help them out of their predicament. Of course afterwards a quick dodge, and a thud later Estart and Lydia were having to change tactics.
While Estart was fast, he certainly was not the best at dodging, and after taking a water shot from one of the tridents he was flung back against the wall and within taking damage the tridents moved up and took up positions as they were about to fire again, the mage would have precious few seconds to get away and ready his attacks. It was a good thing he did, and with his focus regained he fired his mercury, which caught one of the Tridents, causing it to shriek with terror and pain before falling to the floor dead, its eyes were melted and its skin burned.
Lydia was quick to summon her light blades and attack the spell head on. Taking it out so that no collateral damage seemed to be the plan, giving Estart orders to finish off the small fry while she took care of the others was a big enough job. The summoned blades would attack the Lurker’s, and being too fast for them to dodge they were impaled and sent flying past the Sea Emperor as it released the rest of its energy towards the civilians. If it was going to die...it was going to take souls with it to hell. Lydia’s attack went through and the Sea Emperor was killed as well, but the civilians were about to be roasted.
The moment that Lydia and Estart would enter however, all eyes would be on them as 0 Sea Emperors, 0 Lurkers, and 2 tridents were all that would be left
The Hangman’s Hill-Hinota, Willow, Naxel, Joseph
Naxel and Willow’s excellent use of spells had stopped the advancement of the those attacking now for the time being, but as Hinota was touched by the Azure mage and the scream was let out, one of the beasts made its move. It swam to a side where the bodies were most piled towards and began to make its way through the blood and viscera. Naxel also seemed to offend his junior as it seemed that the mage had some personal grievances to deal with once it was all over. Naxel made quick moves to communicate with Lydia and Cyrus as the status reports were given. Naxel was asked to get Cyrus there by Hinota and it was not a bad idea, but Lydia also came through and ordered it as well. Things seemed to be moving on their own in this area, Willow’s concentration was broken for a moment as the scream echoed, causing the Lurker to move up more in the bodies, but then as she looked back towards the water the Azure Deer using the mapping spell would catch a blip of mana...on the island. Willow’s attacks would shoot the water, missing their target, but a few would hit the mass of bodies near her. Finally Naxel’s attack would reach out, catching the Lurker, but not killing it as fresh blood pooled in the water now. The girl behind Hinota would tug on her mantle. ”W-we need to leave...that man won’t survive this trip...doesn't anyone here have a transport spell?” She asked as the man under Hinota winced and breathed heavily.
Those at Hangman’s hill know now that there are 2 Lurkers that are attacking you, however between the explosive attack and the spell done by Willow, there are now two less Lurkers. So with that...a new round begins.
The Tridents: Intermediate The Lurkers: Senior Sea Emperors: Grand

Joseph wished that the map hadn't told him anything new. Maybe this new wave of fear wouldn't exist if that had never been noticed, or if they hadn't been focusing so much on it. It was terrifying enough when they were sitting targets for an enemy in the water, but the hill? There were no barriers now, nor a way to flee. “Enemy on land. Look for movement.” This was the first time since receiving the mission that he spoke out loud. This ability was briefly lived, allowed only due to the leeway that shock had offered. How do you get yourself to react again when fear holds the throat? The answer wasn't something that could be answered in such a situation. The voice had sounded like a jumble of tones, volumes, and ranges. It was as if he had briefly forgotten what talking was like. The fear was clear in the peach pink gaze that started to scan for movements on land. Was he going to die after barely helping anyone? Those thoughts made him wince, a pain that would surely be worse than any death. But there was something worse than fear, words that cut like violin strings getting played so skillfully and terrible that one might guess a deamon was playing it. This honestly wasn't the sort of mission he was expecting anytime soon. People with potential or strength get sent to these. Surprises and expectations didn't change that he was here and everything was really happening.
He was a magic knight, no matter the low rank. Everything was terrifying, so get through it! But you couldn't force yourself through everything. Bit by bit, his mind had been cracking towards the darker reaches of the mind. The first time it had been a quick flash of his mothers corpse, a memory horrifying enough to bounce up just to avoid seeing it more. This time it was memories of her convulsing, a mix of fear of the end that overwhelmed the eyes and the hint of wanting to just let go starting to fade in. A small unfamiliar cry, tiny hands grasping at her. All of that faded back to the mind scape at the sound of the female civilians voice. No, it was less the sound and more the contents. Leave him behind? Peach pink eyes looked to the man. The injury originally looked to be someone minutes from death. Hinota had done amazing work. He still needed more work to survive, but that was something that could be done at the blue rose headquarters. With the voice back to being gone, Cobborns hands moved to speak for him where sound failed. “He's more than able to survive the trip, we only need to get him there. We are here to save everyone we can, not give up part way.” Take deep breaths. This was a mental reminder that was used without delay. It would be bad to slip on his first mission this serious. While slightly erratic, he started taking deep breaths in order to calm down.
So much was on the line right now, he could cry when this is all over. Yes, let it all out once the mission is completed. No matter how small a part, he still had to try to contribute. You can't do that if you loose your grip on things. Hinota has caring for the injured down, “you're amazing Hinota.” He signed out these words using his hands, starting to regain a better grip on their own mind once again. They may have been far too close to an enemy on a hill full of the corpses of the innocent, but that didn't mean more had to be added. Everyone could survive, they just had to figure out how.

[attr="class","florencetext"]It seemed the mana beast were having trouble keeping up with her own speed along with the speed of her spells. Then again Lydia had met very few mages who could keep on with her current speed and so far none that could keep up with her speed when she pushed herself to the limit. Esart seemed to be doing just fine himself with his hit and run tactics for the most part. The Silva mage did seem to get hit by a spell from one of the mana beast but hr recovered fast enough to were the pink haired mage didn't have to step in. She managed to take out the lurkers without any problem as her spell moved to fast for them and cut them down. She also managed to take out the Sea Emperor as well. However it seemed the bastard had a plan it fired off a spell not at her or the junior mage who was in over his head. [break][break] No it was aiming for the six citizens grouped up right now clearly aiming to kill them. The vice captain use her speed to fly into front of the citizens cast her own spell. Death's Scythe The Scythe would appear in her hand as she landed in front of the group of six. Stay behind me if you want to live. Esart I recommend getting behind me or else this is going to hurt. She would give the Silva as much time to get behind her however once the AoE got within five meters of her Lydia would slash the air with her Scythe. This would cause shards of glass to shoot out in front of her in a seventy five meter AoE in front of her keeping anyone behind her safe while over powering the spell sent towards the citizens. If Esart did make it behind her in time he would also take senior damage. [break][break] The spell had most likely killed the tridents however if it didn't Lydia would call two of her glass swords back to her before sending one at each of the tridents. Assuming the fighting was over she would hand the third glass spell to the Silva healing him for senior mana skin or health as well as giving him some mana back. Now all that's left is to find a way to get all of the citizens out of here.

All of the fighting he had been engaged in had allowed him to drop the amount of enemies he had been dealing with down to two. He knew that his magic could be a vicious partner but seeing what it could do when he just let go was something he was still not ready for as he witnessed it deal with another of his enemies causing it to scream out in agony before falling over in a gruesome visage. He took this experience with his magic as a time to learn about how he could hold back and how far things could go if he did not hold back against someone he wanted to live. He was still under attack by the final two enemies but he planned to go about things in a more cautious way to avoid any more issues. He managed to see that Lady Ravencrest had dealt with her group of enemies fully which inspired him to attempt to get moving to do the exact same with his last couple but something happened as she cut down her last foe. Even someone as the Black Sheep of the Silva with little to no ability with sensory could tell it had used some sort of spell that triggered on its death. "Lady Ravencrest, what is going on?" He would call out to his companion having a bad feeling about what was going to happen. His assumption was made even more clear as his last two enemies would stop attacking as they seemingly knew something bad was coming also. Esart took shots at his opponent's but was not able to get around their cover. He was not going to fall for any tricks done by them and simply stayed in his cover as he called out to Lydia more about the current situation. "What's going on over there, Lady Ravencrest? I'm getting a bad feeling for some reason and I have been lead to trust what I feel." He did not know if she would respond to him or not but hoped that whatever would be going on would be figured out by one of them. He did not want to get into a situation of being killed when he had so much planned for his future in his family and for Clover.
He would then see that the enemy she had just struck down had cast a spell towards the nearby citizens in the area they had placed weird coral on which Lydia quickly moved in front of to protect with blinding speed. Esart would follow her quickly while shooting off a few shots at the enemies who were left to keep then held down in place during his run to his ally. "I'm ready." He'd speak out to her when he got behind her. He wasn't too sure on what was going to happen next but found out just how big the difference could be in strength between them as she swiftly attacked the spell headed towards them and then went about dealing with any of the last few enemies if they were still kicking. He was shocked by how swiftly she could deal with such a spell and wondered how much power she actually did possess. "Uh, yeah. Let's check on them." He broke out of his stupor upon her order to check up on the citizens which he turned around towards and approached cautiously. He knew if they were anything like the little girl from earlier that they could be issues for them and needed to be ready to subdue them if needed.
Not entirely sure whether his giant claws were able to land a hit or not, was a mystery to him at the moment. In the meantime, Naxel had first heard the words of Cyrus speak up after the Noble gave his report to the Golden Dawn and Vice-Captain. Whenever the Golden dawn had finished his report would cause some relief to happen within the Noble. Some Citizens were actually saved from this whole ordeal which was always a great thing to hear. He wasn’t sure what to think about the priest that was restrained for the time being. Something like that happening would be a great opportunity to interrogate the man in hopes to receive something about whatever it going on. Naxel would think on this a little more to try and figure out if he could get over to that priest or not. This would be cut short as he would hear Hinota speak up about some assistance from her superior. It wasn’t a bad idea in the Nobles eyes. In response to that he would give her a nod of agreement before hearing the voice of the Vice-Captain speak up on her report. Naxel listened to what she had to say closely, just in case it was something about what was going on. From what he understood was that the church was a mess from todays events. This made him even more eager to try and get back to the priest in order to get that possible information out of him. But for now, he kept his attention on his shadowy flat surface in front of him to begin his response to them. “It is good that you were able to get some citizens to safety Cyrus. Good work. Now, I will need you to head over here to the Hangman’s Hill. We have some citizens that are in need of an evac, but we do not have the transportation to get everyone away. If you can please head here as quickly as you can. Naxel over and out.” Informing the other Golden dawn right before he would dispel his communication towards him and the Vice-Captain.[break][break]
Afterwards, Naxel had turned his towards the general direction of where these lurkers now were. This fight with them was getting real old to the Azure Deer. Naxel would then raise his hands up once again. Just like last time he would throw them down to where he sent his giant claws into a bombardment of punches in the general area where he senses the lurkers. All they had to do now was get themselves off of this hill to where they can get the injured to some sort of safety. Then, he would turn his attention over towards Hinota as his claws were smashing into the location they were striking. “Hinota, I informed Cyrus that he should head to us whenever he could. From what he said he was able to save some citizens. One of them was a Priest that really makes me want to go interrogate him for answers. That sounds back, but from what Cyrus said makes me think the man knows something.” Informing one of his partners before turning his attention back towards his striking claws in the general direction of where the lurkers mana signature was located.[break][break]

[break] Items[break] Shadow Kings Staff[break] Shadow Chariot[break][break] TL;DR Naxel listened and then replied to Cyrus and Lydia. [attr=class, cyrustext]Cyrus listened as Lydia's update on the situation was relayed to him, ordering his golems to come to a stop as he looked at the church off in the distance. While he was loathe to leave a friend and comrade to handle a dangerous situation, she knew better than anyone just what her limits were and decided to trust her in that. Besides, helping the citizens was definitely the main priority at this moment. "Okay, change of plans." Cyrus informed the shadow wizard, now turning his head to look in the direction of Hangman's Hill. "I'm making my way over to you and the others Naxel, so hang tight. I have golems already summoned, so be ready to transport everyone as soon as I arrive. Be there soon."
With his decision made and shared, Cyrus had his golems fly at top speed toward Hangman's Hill so that they could lend their assistance. Hama hummed as she thought on the situation. "It sounds like things are pretty rough over there," she noted, crossing her arms and tilting her head as she contemplated. "How should we handle things once we get there?"
Cyrus crossed his own arms, trying to decide himself. Someone was heavily injured, so protecting the civilians was even more of a priority than usual. Naxel had also noted that they lost sight of two of their enemies, which was a problem as well. Just to save time and breath, he decided to make his call an order to his golems as well. He also made sure that he was explaining his plan to Naxel as well through his friend's communication spell before it was disabled. "The first thing I want to do is have my Heliades take up a defensive position by the civilians. While he's doing that, we can help search for the remaining enemies; my Falernum Wyverns have a high Sensory rating, so two of them will be on the lookout for the missing monsters. The last of the three Wyverns will land by the civilians as well, so we can hopefully load them up as safely as possible."
Cyrus frowned a bit. "It seems like there's a lot of people around there, so I won't be able to pull off the same tactic I did to clear the residential district of enemies without risking the civilians and other knights. We'll need to be precise about this."
Hama nodded, figuring that his plan was as good as they had for the moment. "I don't mean to pile on the pressure, but we really need to get you some healing spells Cyrus." She noted, unable to help the observation. This only deepened his frown, but just because he agreed completely; he had knowledge of healing magic now, but had yet to actually apply it. And in a situation like this, that could mean the difference between life and death for countless innocent lives.
He sighed heavily, centering his thoughts. "I'll get to work on that as soon as possible. But for now, we have to focus on doing what we can instead of worrying about what we can't." He assured the fairy, who nodded again in agreement. Cyrus felt his face relax a bit, which was good; as a member of the Magic Knights he wanted his presence to feel reassuring and hopeful for the people. He just hoped that they made good time.

Between throwing out spell after spell and trying to land hits against things in the water they that couldn't even fathom the locations of, Willow was starting to get exhausted. She was huffing and panting. Sweat beading on her brow the entire time as she prepared to continue the fight. Between the hectic nature of her personality and the bombardment of villainous creatures, Willow was swaggering now.
Without a big pool of mana and a tendency to spew it out like she was a sieve with more holes than necessary, Willow had to rely on the natural trait of her people, something that wasn't feasible in the long run. She was at a constant disadvantage from prolonged combat, yet she remained ready to fight, or pass out trying. This was something she had to do as part of being a magic knight now, right?
"Sir Naxel! I am, having the struggling. Please being have the advisory!!" She declared out to him while trying to maintain her focus. Her grimoire shut itself and floated on over to her back. The magic circles she had at the ready still prepared.
And so she would release another salvo into the water. There was no way to tell if she hit anything for certain or not, but she was going to keep doing this as it was the only thing she could do. Her sensory spell was more for finding secret passages, she had no transportation, no communication. Just attacks. She was loath of herself to neglect training, to forego the chance to move out into the world, and work on her own power and limitations.
And now she was paying for it by kicking herself into the pants while exhausting herself. Pretty soon Willow would need to take a break from the fight to recharge!
It was true the doll-like mage had lost her concentration when she was touched, it wasn't something she was used to when she saw it coming but it was even worse when it was sudden in a high tension situation. She couldn't imagine how hard it was for the fighters of the group who were giving her the much needed time to heal the severely injured man that had been laying before her. Luckily due to that time and her diligence he had almost been fully healed by that point. His innards had seemingly fixed themselves there was nothing she could do for the blood loss but the guts and gore seemed to have stopped showing as the skin had knitted itself back together. She was proud of herself as she had never thought she'd ever manage to heal such a grievous wound that had a person on the brink of death at her current power and here she was having managed it. The man was unconscious but she saw that as a good thing as the shock to his system could have caused this to go south very quickly when it had happened. She was about to acknowledge something else around her when she felt her mantle be tugged at, she wanted to shriek again but that would do no one any good so with a deep breath and a slow exhale she managed to keep her composure as she turned to the woman who was speaking to her. "Please miss, I am not meaning to be rude when I say this but as you previously saw I don't do very well with being touched so it is likely best that it doesn't happen when I am healing people." she said, her voice was very polite as she spoke to the civilian, she wasn't trying to be rude it was just a fact in regards to her. She still had to question the woman's sanity and motives on doing that after seeing how well it went last time.
[break][break]
She then shook her head a bit to what the woman had said "I can understand your anxiety about the dangers of remaining here but as magic knights, we are duty-bound to protect and save as many people as possible." she said gently to the other as she looked back to the man her spells still active, she noticed him wince and breath heavily. "I need to train a pain relief spell." she commented to herself before turning her attention once again to Naxel who nodded and spoke towards her she closed her eyes as she saw the combat take place but when it seemed to end she opened them "That is good, also the man is out of critical condition but he will still need rest, pain medication, likely some blood to help with the amount he lost and a therapist for the trama." she said giving an update to the senior member of the group. It was far too much for her at current, she felt so overwhelmed but she kept pushing those feelings back, it would do no one any good if she lost control or became overly emotional. She was a magic knight, a member of the Golden Dawn and that came with expectations which she intended to live up to. Looking over the man once more she felt safe enough to drop the healing spells for now to regain her mana, it hat took more mana than she had liked 'I'll need to learn how to conserve my mana or train to make my mana last longer.' she thought to herself hoping that was something that Zaven would be able to help her with.
[break][break]
It was then she seen what Joseph had signed and shook her head and let out a silent sigh as she started to sign back to him. ~I am far from it I'm afraid if I was as you stated then I wouldn't have let the touch of your senior affect me to the point I lost focus and thus ended my first spell. In honesty, I am finding it hard to not...~ she stopped mid sign and shook her head smiling ~I actually feel like I want to throw up due to being in this situation but we are the strength of the kingdom so such actions need to be pushed back until the danger has ebbed and the threat has been defeated, you should bare that in mind too. I sense you are much like me in that way.~ she finished signing to him, it was clear that this statement was completely different than what she had stopped herself from saying, she smiled weakly though and turned her attention to the two civilians. "Just a little longer and we can get you both to safety, as you heard my senior is on his way here." she tried to reassure the woman knowing that the man likely couldn't hear him. She turned back to Joseph and signed once more ~Is there a way you can get a message to your senior without anyone else knowing? I know I might be paranoid but I don't trust this woman.~ she sent to him waiting to see what the other said.
[break][break]
She turned her attention now to Willow she knew she could speak to her openly without anyone really knowing what was being said by anyone else "Zi un vyekx Fila, O povth zi ugik htonronv oh zyh O xun'h hkyjh hti fupen jti ojn'h eyhonv kovth, jti eqju huyytix pi ewhik jiionv tuf O kieyhix foht Naxel. Oj htiki enc fec fi yen vih htoj onwukpehoun hu top fohtuyh tik rnufnonv?" she asked the other in the hopes that between the three they could find a way to tell the senior member of their group of her concerns, she didn't want to say anything openly for two reasons the first being that if she was wrong then she could have offended an innocent woman for no reason but the other was if she was correct and this woman wasn't as she appeared she'd be aware they were on to her which could end up with her fleeing or making the situation worse for the group which didn't seem appealing so it was better if they could be convert at least for now.
TLDR; Zi un vyekx Fila, O povth zi ugik htonronv oh zyh O xun'h hkyjh hti fupen jti ojn'h eyhonv kovth, jti eqju huyytix pi ewhik jiionv tuf O kieyhix foht Naxel. Oj htiki enc fec fi yen vih htoj onwukpehoun hu top fohtuyh tik rnufnonv? = Be on guard Fila I might be overthinking it but I don't trust the woman she isn't acting right, she also touched me after seeing how I reacted with Naxel. Is there any way we can get this information to him without her knowing?

The attack from the Sea Emperor was enough to level the church, yet with the quick thinking of Lydia and her instinct to protect the citizens of Clover she put her familial differences aside and warned Estart, who raced to take cover behind Lydia. The two Tridents tried to go towards their old leaders to use their bodies as cover, but Lydia’s attack against the AoE was just too oppressive as the enemy AoE was cut in half and the resulting explosion of mana resulted in the church being half destroyed. There were no more enemies waiting for the two of them and the citizens sitting in the circle all fell to their faces from the explosion of mana, the little coral pieces falling off of their necks now as a few of them woke up...the look in their eyes...they were horrified and speaking to themselves over and over. ”Kill me...kill me...kill me…” They seemed broken mentally, and even with minor cuts and bruises...they just continued pleading with Estart and Lydia to end their suffering. Tears streaming from their faces.
The Hangman’s Hill-Hinota, Willow, Naxel, Joseph, Cyrus
The woman heard Hinota’s words and shrunk back as the feeling of dread finally swept over her. Her eyes went from unnervingly apathetic to fear-filled eyes of someone that just needed to get away. She began to shake as the nerves finally got to her, but it was not until Joseph warned the group that there was one on the land there with them that things turned to form a gruesome scene...to one truly out of a horror film. The Lurker had no idea but as Willow took shots at the water, Naxel turned to where the only place the Lurker could hide on the hill...it was amongst the bodies. Each hit from Naxel’s spell would cause a bloody mess and viscera was launched high into the air, some even managing to splatter against the woman’s face as the last blip on Joseph's map finally disappeared...the Lurkers had no time to really react they were caught by mages that were willing to do unspeakable things or to even launch attacks randomly...it was a madhouse. She would cower, fumbling back as she neared the shoreline...an eyeball of one of the Lurkers would wash up and she would touch it and freeze. She let out a screech that was almost deafening just as Cyrus showed up to see the scene. There were only the four mages that looked various worse for wear...and the two civilians left...one was on the ground with a ghastly wound that looked to be healed over for the most part and stable...and one lone female near the water’s edge. A Lurker would suddenly appear to those with sensory and on Joseph’s map, reaching for the woman to drag her under. Only Cyrus could make it in time.
The church is in a state of disarray...but cleared out, but the duo would need to find a way back to the Blue Rose Base or to the others in order to continue. At the hill it turned into a literal bloodbath as Naxel tried to find where the Lurker was hiding, only to deliver a very shocking and horrific scene to the others as he mutilated the dead citizens corpses toi kill the Lurker, the one in the water was killed after a bombardment from Willow, but the scene caused the woman to retreat in a fright...now at the edge of the hill, another Lurker showed up and was about to grab her as Cyrus showed up.

Naxel hadn't listened, but it didn't seem like he needed to? The peachy orange haired young man watched the brunette for a bit with shock in their eyes. What as he even doing? Just because they had been dead when the group had arrived, didn't mean that was okay. Had the higher ranked Azure Deer lost themselves a bit in this small mad space? Would he be able to see that man the same way after everything that had happened? All the blood and bits of body was a bit horrifying. The only thing that caused him to stop looking was nagging in the mind. Blake was doing what he had to in order to protect the living. This wasn't pretty, but it would be worth it if they could get the only two survivors back safe. What hell did those two face before the magic knights had even arrived? Had it even stopped yet? To say it had would be very unrealistic. Then the junior azure deer wouldn't be mentally struggling to keep it together as much as he had been so far. How was Willow doing? A glance told him that it likely wasn't well. Looking to his spells map gave an indication that the danger that had been hunting them before was gone. Well, the danger that had been on the island anyway. No sane person would call this hill safe, not by a long shot. Finally, his peachy pink eyes looked to Hinotas direction again.
Why was the first emotion shown on the woman so far dread at the golden dawn members words? Was it the thought that she might be hindering medical treatment? It wouldn't make sense if it was a reaction to the need to save as many people as possible, or that the man was out of critical condition. The last thing the dark haired girl said to the civilian was that her senior was on his way, meaning a stronger and more experienced magic knight. It was crazy how far and fast the woman went from them already, despite the number of bodies in the way. For a moment there was the brief feeling of horror at how close the woman was to the waters and his map suggested was coming. That feeling faded at the sight of the blond magic knight approaching. It was easy enough to remember them from the blue rose base, even if the two hadn't communicated back then. If someone else was that close to the woman, then there was less fear and anxiety about not being able to get to her on time. His softly colored irises went back to looking to Hinota, giving a not to the words her fingers spoke. At least there was someone he could speak to here, even when it felt like they were on a little slice of hell in the middle of blood thirsty waters. It would have been nice to have met these people before all this, or at least to have seen Raque before this event.
Did he understand what she meant? Of course. It was a bit easier to understand now why she had been acting calmer than Naxel and Willow now, even if neither of not at their best. ~The last dying or dead body I saw was my mothers. Didn't remember that was a thing until we got here. Bits of memories got through. Our duty as a magic knight and that we must stay strong for the sake of this mission to help as many as we can are all that's keeping me together. I'm not sure how long I can use it to keep those memories out, but I will do it for as long as possible.~ Fighting fears in the mind and outside of it was very hard. It was a battle on two fronts in trying to keep his mind in one piece. In a sense it was worse than a certain brunette person and green haired persons reactions. When you're able to hold on longer, it makes the final break all the more worse when and if that happens. ~I thought the reaction you had to Naxel was from surprise, you looked so focused. I'm sorry for not realizing that you have been struggling as well, that was thoughtless.~ He had been admiring her focus so much without thinking that she might be using the same code he was to keep holding on for as long as they could. Was there a way he could silently communicate with his senior?
~Mister Blake learned some sign language so he could communicate with me at times that I can't speak. Either of us could try to talk to him this way.~ Don't trust the woman? that was a thought. ~Did anyone find the source of the creatures yet? It feels like something big would have changed if it was gone.~ Would the source look like the beasts they had seen so far, or like a normal everyday person? That was an unnerving thought. ~Does anyone know what the source would look like?~

Bit's of carbon matter go into the air in front of him and make quiet tapping sounds. The carbon matter amplifies the sound, making it capable of feeling out the area. A temporary map is created from carbon matter, changing the sound the spell was making previously. Everything that he could sense is shown on the map, the amount of magic being shown by the size of the tiny diamond over their little figure on the map.
[attr=class, cyrustext]A scream ripped through the air as Cyrus approached the location of Naxel and the others, his golems locked onto the presence of the other knights in the area. The sound put the young wizard on edge as he stowed the strange artifact he had acquired from the priest away in the layers of the scarf wrapped around his neck; such cries of fear or horror were not uncommon in their line of work, especially in situations such as these. But that frequency only made them more horrifying as far as he was concerned, not less.
"There they are!" Hama called out to her friend, pointing down at the gathering of people. Cyrus scanned the scene, trying to get a read on what the current situation was as they made their final approach. His junior in the Golden Dawn, Hinota, was by the side of the man she had been healing and speaking to the boy who had earlier introduced himself as Joseph at the Blue Rose's base. Willow looked tired from what he could tell at this distance, her grimoire not even drawn. Considering the flooded city, it seemed like a safe bet to say that she had exhausted most of her mana trying to keep track of the slippery enemies infesting the town.
What really shocked him was the sight of Naxel, bombarding corpses with his magical attacks. He knew enough of the Azure Deer member to figure that he had a good reason for doing so, but it was a brutal display in front of civilians. The woman with the group seemed to have been the source of the scream they had heard, and probably for this very reason. She had backed away from the rest of the group... right towards the edge of the water, where Cyrus could sense a dangerous presence.
"Syrup Shroud!" Cyrus shouted, directing his defensive spell towards both of the civilians as well as Willow and Joseph. He would have covered Hinota and Naxel if he were able, but for now he figured it would be best to defend those who seemed most vulnerable.
"Just as I instructed you earlier!" He called out to his golems. At his command, Cyrus' Wyverns growled in response as two of them landed by the injured civilian while the other one headed towards the Lurker in the water. With its Sensory, it would easily be able to track the beast's location. The Heliades, on which Cyrus rode, rushed down with its hammer raised to attack the Lurker below once it was close enough, and as soon as it was close enough to the ground its master got off.
Cyrus stood by the woman, between she and the enemy that had been targeting her. Between his golems going after the monster, his spell of protection over her, and himself as a barrier, it was about as safe as they were likely to get in this situation. "What is everybody's status?" He asked, directing the question to Naxel but willing to hear it from anyone present.
He looked down at the fearful woman and knelt down. "Ma'am, can you move?" He asked her in a soft tone, holding out a hand for her to take if she was too scared to stand. "I'm here to get you and the others out of here."
He turned his head to look at the others. "Is the injured man stable enough to be moved? If so, get him on one of my wyverns so we can get ready to head back to Blue Rose HQ. Hinota, since you've been treating him, could you make sure and board the same golem as him?"
He returned his attention to the woman. "We can go somewhere safe," He reassured her with a gentle smile. "I know that this is all terrifying, but we can protect you."
Hama looked at the woman from her post on Cyrus' shoulder, glancing back at the rest of the knights. She was curious as to what Joseph and Hinota were discussing; they weren't speaking out loud, so it seemed important.

Description: By casting this spell, Cyrus summons a mass of sap that quickly takes on the shape of a castle wall before hardening into a shifting amber-colored aura around Cyrus or his allies, defending them from enemy attacks. On casting, this spell will provide Cyrus with a +9 Durability buff. This defense can fully restore its lost health so long as it is not entirely destroyed, up to three times per casting. Sufficient Control will also allow him to create multiple barriers for different targets.
These lurkers were a pain in the ass with how much they snuck around. A funny thought came to mind that these lurkers were like the person who created them. Coward. Pathetic. Weak as hell. The fact that they would hide next to dead citizens, that they killed, made this thought not only funny but seriously true. Though, it was a sad sight that his claws had struck some of the dead citizens that were already murdered. Their suffering had been long over to where they are in a more safe and peaceful place now with the holy spirits. Now was not a time to be cautious as these weak lurkers used civilians as shields and covers. Naxel had people who were alive, healing, and needing protecting for there to be obstacles to stop him from protecting his people. It was a true shame that these bodies had to be used by such cowardly beings. Seeing blood coming from their dead bodies would stain his eyes and mind for days to come. The Noble knew this, but staying strong for his fellow magic knights were more important to him. Any sort of wrong move would make any of them be amongst the rest of the corpses that surrounded them. Naxel would then stop his bombardment of attacks, from his claws, to dispel the entire spell completely. A cold dead look covered his face, but would quickly shake it off before turning to Hinota as she spoke. The words she spoke was that of a status report on the civilian. He nodded his head to show to her that he understood what she had said. Willow had sent off her own spells to where the mana from the lurker had disappeared. That was another one down, but spirits only know how many more cowardly creatures would show up. So, Naxel made his way over near Hinota to get a better look on the condition of the Citizen. When he made it would be when he noticed one of the citizens were near the waters edge. A mana signature had suddenly appeared to be headed towards the woman. It was too close to them for the Noble to make it over towards her in time. Thankfully, Naxel felt the mana of Cyrus quickly close in on the location of the Hangman’s hill. He would watch as Cyrus sent a golem off towards the lurker that quickly closed in on the woman. This would bring a legit smile to his face as he saw his old friend appear in such good timing.[break][break]
Naxel watched his friend Noble appear between the woman and where the lurker was. Such a brave guy Cyrus was, in his eyes. This wasn’t the first time he had seen the Golden Dawn in action. Both of them had went on a long mission before to find Diamond soldiers. Between the two of them it was a cake walk to hunt them down and capture them. Cyrus had pulled off some moves that was really impressive to watch. Maybe one day Hinota would be able to experience seeing her Senior Knight in better circumstances than what they were in now. Naxel then heard Cyrus speak to him about the status of what was all here. He would make his way over towards the Golden Dawn to come within touching distance of him. “There are creatures that are lurking all around. Pathetic things that want to use these dead bodies of our people as shields. I am sure I just scarred those who were unfortunate to see me try and strike one of them.” Looking down at the ground at the thought in remorse. “We didn’t make it in time to save them sadly, but I have others I must protect from these pathetic creatures.” Then turning his head over to see that the others were communicating with one another. Sadly, he didn’t have the mindset to really focus on what they were going on about. “I think I need to take a step away from this location before anymore of these cowardly creatures arise again. So, I am going to head back to the Blue Rose Headquarters. The Priest you spoke of might have more information that what you’ve told me. I’m sure he went through a lot since these events began. A calm approach might get us the information we need. If the Vice-Captain makes her way here let her know I am going to try and get information.” Finishing what he had to say before turning around towards Joseph. Naxel walked over towards the young Knight to stop right next to him. “I am sorry you had to bare witness to that. Hopefully you wont judge me for wanting to make sure all of you are save, my friend.” Giving the Junior Knight a guilty side frown smirk. “I’m headed off to the Blue Rose Headquarters. Stay with Cyrus for now. I trust that guy with my life, so you will be in great hands. You are the main tracker now. Don’t let the group get blindsided by anymore lurkers.” Informing his dear fellow Azure Deer Knight right before summoning his shadow chariot. He would then hop on, looking at Joseph, and then begin elevating himself high in the sky before heading over towards the Blue Rose Base.[break][break]
With it only being himself on this trip it wouldn’t take long for him to arrive at the Base. When he came close he would see that people were still moving around like small people down below. Right as he positioned himself above the base was when he would decline himself down right in front of the front entrance. Everyone was still running around trying to take care of those who were lucky enough to to escape this horrific event. Naxel dismounted his chariot, not dispelling it, to get his feet onto the ground. Not a single person had taken notice to his arrival. That made the most sense with what was going on. Naxel actually preferred it that was since it showed that the Blue Rose Knights were doing their jobs to protect and care for those within their town. Nodding his head, he motioned his arm upwards to allow his chariot to rise up above to where no one could hop on it. He went inside the base, afterwards, to see if he could find out where the priest Cyrus had mentioned about in his report. Naxel didn’t really see him, but knew he was going to have to ask to figure out where the person might be. So, he saw a Blue Rose Knight not far from him, and began to try and catch her attention. “Excuse me. I need to find the Priest of this town. Cyrus Elwood, of the Golden Dawn, had brought him here not long ago. Do you know where the Priest might be?” Asking the Knight with a serious, but calming, look on his face.[break][break]

The doll-like mage turned her attentions towards the woman when she saw her move, it was a sudden change in attitude after she had stated that her senior would be arriving soon to help them leave the hill. It was additional proof at least in her mind that she was not what she was supposed to be portraying. "Miss, please calm down and stay awa-" it was then she seemed to be pulled into the water by something beneath, she was nowhere near the water and even if she had been what good was she, she didn't fight she would just end up in the same situation as the woman. It was more than a little worrisome but she guessed this would also be a good way to tell if there was something about her. She looked up to the Azure Deer senior and bit her lip given the situation but nodded "None of us are close enough to save the woman though." she commented to him, she was worried and thought she knew no one could save everyone this just didn't sit right with her. 'Its karma coming to bite her' the darkened voice said to her 'Hush, no one deserves this kind of treatment even if they are an awful person.' she snapped back to the darkened voice that seemed to rear its ugly head every now and then when she was stressed or in a situation she truly couldn't handle. With that, the darkened voice was once again quelled.
[break][break]
Soon enough she heard a splash into the water and turned her attention to where it had come from and seen a large golem made from sap, that had to have been her senior come to save the day at least for the woman as between Willow, Joseph and Naxel they had the place locked down in regards of being surprised attacked by the enemy. It seemed like Cyrus had everything under control and so turned her attention to Joseph briefly to see what he was saying. Seeing what he was saying she looked saddened ~That couldn't have been easy, I don't want to assume but I am not guessing she went go see her ancestors willingly.~ she signed back to the man, she smiled and nodded her once firmly to nod at his next statement of them being magic knights and they had to push their own feelings aside for the betterment of others, it sucks they had to do such things but it came with the territory the moment they took their mantles. They were the calm in the eye of the storm, the rocks on which everyone else stood, their own difficulties scars could be reflected upon at the end of the fight, it was then they could weep and show their sorrows not during it, doing it then endangered everyone around them civilian and magic knight alike.
[break][break]
She bit her lip and took his hand for a moment briefly squeezing it before letting it go ~Memories are shadows of the past, nothing can change them as much as we might like it. We fight for not only the here and now but the future too, every time you think you are about to falter ask yourself do you want to create any more darkened shadows that you and others would want to run from or shadows you can look fondly upon.~ she sent to the other until her reaction to Naxel touching her was brought up ~My family don't really do touching, you see its something, my parents, only done with myself or my elder brother Ozma when it was needed outside of that it was almost like there was a shield preventing us from being touched or us touching others so I almost panic when I am touched by people and as you have seen I am hesitant to touch others.~ she explained to the other, she was taught it would be something that she and her husband would be able to do but before that, it wasn't very seemly and only certain types of women would do it. ~My family is very strict on tradition and duty~ she said ending it there but she almost seemed to shudder for the briefest of seconds, if you blinked it would have been easy to miss it.

She was about to turn her attention toward Naxel and sign but he had opened up a conversation with Joseph so she would leave it be until he was done and turned her attention to her own senior who had now started speaking to her about the man she had been treating. "I am fine, the man is stable enough to be moved... it is a miracle he survived in honesty." she said standing now she was nowhere strong enough to move a fully grown man on her own especially when it was a dead weight "I'll need help to move him as I'm not overly strong and will remain with him until we reach the Blue Rose headquarters, the other civilian should remain with you Cyrus as she must be shook given what she just went through." she said looking to the others, it was then she seen Naxel seemingly take off and whispered something under her breath before walking over to her senior and leaning into his ear to whisper covering her mouth as so her lips couldn't be seen. "In all honesty Cyrus I do not trust her and would prefer she be away from the injured man and with you, in case she tries something." she notified the sap mage, she knew that this would be an odd statement especially coming from her. "She only started to show empathy and fear when your arrival was mentioned, before that she was apathetic to the point she showed no emotion for the dead around her, the suffering of the man that was almost eviscerated by a Daemon, showed no fear at the attacks coming our way or the enemy that was trying to kill us and worst of all she said we should leave him because he was near death though he was almost fully stabilised, I have informed Joseph and Fila but I wasn't able to tell Naxel before he left so he's unaware of my concerns." she finished saying to the other bringing down her hand allowing him to make up his own conclusion on the woman.

She stood and attempted to lift the man but it was clear it wasn't going to happen, she looked to Joseph and Willow "A little help please." she said to the pair in the hopes that she would get the help she needed to get the man on the man and settle him comfortably before sitting next to him monitoring his condition. "Fila could you go on the same Golem as Cyrus and Joseph you come on this one with me please." she assumed that Joseph must have a communication spell and so they could keep in touch, with Willow with Cyrus it meant that she could keep vital information secret, her eyes went to Willow now "kovth yki jyjmoyonj pc ow tik wkup oh riim yyn fi ju Cyrus hu on ftojmik mqiji, cuy hu pijjyvi y jinx ie oh." she said to the silver eagles member hoping she'd understand why she asked for the grouping she had.
TLDR; kovth yki jyjmoyonj pc ow tik wkup oh riim yyn fi ju Cyrus hu on ftojmik mqiji, cuy hu pijjyvi y jinx ie oh. = If we send a message to you, please whisper it to Cyrus so we can keep it from her if my suspicions are right
