[attr="class","zavenreescroll"] After the Royal Knights were chosen, the three captains separated to continue on with the training and preparation. One might think///what exactly were they planning? Was it covert missions, all out war, defense of a nation. No...none of these were the proper answer, the proper answer was that the captains needed to bring their respective squads up to par so that they could bring the fight to the daemons themselves. He had a squad of people he knew...and now he had to ensure their safety, and make sure that when there was rumor of a daemon...he would be the first to jump to attack. He was going to create the spear that would strike the foes of Clover. [break][break]
After telling the squad that he was going to take some time to train at the Blake Estate he made sure that the reports would still come to him as well as job requests for him to delegate, so after doing the necessary preparations he sent word to those in his squad that it was time that they assemble. At his new estate in the Shadowlands grand mana zone...He would of course be waiting for them, and told them to prepare for some extended time away from their squad, and to not pack for a friendly outing. He had a heavy heart as he wrote one of his squadmates letters, yet he still did it, sending it through the proper channels just the way he was asked to do...it was how he found out about the addition to his squad after all. [break][break]
Once the word was sent out to the members of his squad he grabbed his own gear and left the Golden Dawn headquarters and made his way to his family estate by way of broom. The trip was smooth and there were no threats that impeded his journey and also nothing of interest to cause him to stop as well. Once he was on the grounds of the estate he put away his broom and greeted his staff and some of the family members that resided there. He had rooms prepared for the guests to come and the training area set up for them. The magical array was soon started as the shadow mana fueled the area with an abundant amount of power. ”This will be my last contribution to the Clover kingdom...once the threat passes over I will make sure that the Golden Dawn and Clover are left in good hands.” He said as he looked out over the shadow grand magic zone. He had plans of his own design to enact, and this was the perfect springboard.

It had been weeks since she had been taken back home by force by her elder brother Ozma, the entire time she had been kept inside her families estate as if her wings had once again been clipped. She was sure it was because of the announcement that the Wizard King had made not but a few weeks beforehand. She knew that her family never wanted her to become a magic knight, to begin with, but in the time she had been away from her family she realized little by little that wasn't their call at the end of the day. It was her own and one that where she was still unsure of her choice she wouldn't have changed it even now. She had seen more horrors than anyone should need to in their life but she was sure that she was helping to prevent them from continuing.
She went through her normal duties as expected of her within the estate, her education continuing as they attempted to rid her of the foolish notions that she had been able to experience in the world past her own. It wasn't working, the cat was well and truly out of the bag and had no intention of returning to the darkness from whence it came. She had worried about Valo as he knew he was likely going to be fighting one of the threats coming their way, she knew he had no healing capabilities and where she believed there was no way that she could be by his side to heal him or anyone else thanks to her gilded cage and the guards that kept her from escaping it she had a simple silver bracelet made and poured her own mana into it as it was forged.
She, of course, tried it to see what she had put into it and found that it was a version of her own living restraint spell that had been taken root within the bracelet. The only issue she now had was getting it to the one who needed it, there was no way that Junjie was going to let her go anywhere outside of her 'palace' alone and so sent his sister Luli to deliver the bracelet. Within the box was a small note and directions to her families estate as she knew if you weren't looking for it, it would be easy to miss. The fact he hadn't visited in that time meant he either hadn't opened the box, hadn't found the note or he was busy with training. She didn't fault him for any of it, all she could do from that point on was pray for his safety in what was to come next.
What happened next however she, nor anyone could have expected, she was conscripted by the wizard king himself. That put her in an extremely tough position, she asked Junjie about it and he told her that it wasn't his decision but she shouldn't disobey. He was not only her superior but her families. She nodded and continued reading to find out more information, it turned out the captain she was to give support to was her own captain. She wasn't looking forward to the conversation of her being missing for several weeks without notice coming up, she didn't want to get her family into trouble but at the same time, she didn't want to lie about it either. She hated her life sometimes, standing she started to get clothing packed as she knew that training would be mandatory. With that done she had everything put into a carriage to take her towards her destination.
To her surprise, Junjie and Luli were sat within it. "W... where are you going?" she would ask the pair "With you." the male said simply as if there wasn't any room for discussion on the matter. She didn't want to argue with him but it wasn't as if this was a holiday or anything, she was going to be training but given where it was she could understand their concern. "You are still nobility within this land and Royalty from our homeland that means you must have your maid with you and a guard when you leave the estate." he continued she just gave an exasperated sigh "I will be well cared for and I'm a magic kni-" "Please do not argue with me on this." he interrupted her making her look down and hold onto her sleeves before nodding like a scolded child.
"I am not wishing to be cruel, but, you have placed yourself in danger too many times and now you are being recruited into it." he said helping her into the carriage before the door was closed. "Had you not run off that day..." "Junjie, please... enough..." she knew he meant the best for her but it was worse than the lectures she had already been given by her family "It wouldn't have mattered because I would have been in as much danger regardless. The only difference is I managed to help end the suffering of others." "And almost got yourself killed in the process." he rebuked quickly, she couldn't exactly argue with that one "I met strong people along the way who have helped me." "And because you don't fight could have put them in danger too." "I..." She looked down holding her sleeves going silent.
"Junjie, you forget your place she's your lady, not a lower servant." Luli finally said her tone was cautious as she spoke the way she did "Then she should start acting like a lady and not a ruffian." "Junjie!" "I am not saying her place on a battlefield doesn't give merit but she is a large target and because she needs protecting by others it makes her a distraction they do not need." he said to his sister "Enough!" the doll-like mage eventually said her voice holding authority "I am not an offensive mage nor will I ever be but that doesn't define who I am or give you the right to decide where my place is in this world!" her voice was still soft but it was clear she had enough of the topic. "I have gone against two archdaemons and survived because I noticed things others couldn't or didn't notice." she continued.
"I can't protect or defend people like you do Junjie but it doesn't mean I can't do my job just as well. I'm not a defenceless noble who needs someone standing in front of her to take the hit, nor am I anyone's destruction. I am a magic knight who specializes in tactics, healing and defence, if you can't accept that get out of my carriage right now." The pair were both taken back by her words and how her tone had changed, it wasn't like her at all. It was then they noticed her eyes weren't completely forest green, they had a purple swirled pattern within them. "I meant no offence princess." "Don't call me that in front of them" "You haven't told them?" She shook her head. "It has nothing to do with my duties to the kingdom. I know you feel like you need to call me by an honorific but please play it down." she said.
The pair looked at each other clearly not comfortable with what she had asked of them "Our world is different from theirs, so please... for now..." her voice was almost begging them, the pair begrudgingly nodded in agreement. She decided to go over her studies in tactics eventually falling asleep not realizing that they had entered the grand mana zone of shadow. This put the pair on high alert "Something is terrible here." Luli said "Be on guard." she was ordered the woman nodding, though she was a maid she was as skilled a fighter as her brother. The two were raised within a family of shinobi who doubled as what they showed themselves to be and that was why they were chosen to protect the flower mage specifically by her parents. Hinota however didn't know anything but the masks they wore and it was to remain that way.
Soon enough the carriage came to a stop within the grounds of the blake estate, Luli shook Hinota lightly "You must wake, we are here now." she said her voice quiet and gentle knowing not to startle her. "Thank you, I must have fallen asleep." the door opened and a man she didn't recognise stood, she guessed this had to be the steward of the estate. "Please follow me, I will have your things taken to your room." the man said Hinota looked at the pair "please make sure my belongings get to where they need to, I will need to head to the training area." she said following the man quickly before Junjie could contest her wishes. Entering the training area she looked around "I really don't belong in a place like this." she said more to herself than anyone else.
[attr="class","julienglass2scroll"] Sol finished packing the rest of his necessities for this training mission as he mentally went thru the check list in his head, the ruby eyed man was pleased that he managed to be selected to be on one of the squads fighting against the threat to the land and considered it a great honor though he did know how dangerous this battle would be. He had been at his family home meditating when the news had been given to him since he had been recovering mentally from the test, the noble wasnt sick or injuried by any means but he needed to erase the frustration that he was feeling since while his victory was pretty much flawless and he felt he did a good job and gave a good impression the issue became that his opponent was under prepared. Sol also felt that [break][break] while her guts to attempt the exams was praise worthy her performance in said exams was less then steller, her spells while different were not enough to even make the golem pause and the man was smart enough to use his creation as a wall. The fight had quickly devolved into the blood mages favor and right when he had been ready to obtain a flawless victory it had happened, the Crimson Lion captain Ardere had stepped in to try and bolster her resolve and it had worked... for a few seconds before Sol had been on her again with his golem and this time he had left nothing to chance he had restrained her and made sure she couldnt win. Remembering it made the blood mage scowl since he hoped that his opponent had not gotten a spot not out of cruelty but if she couldent handle him then there was no way that she could handle the archdeamons coming and asking to stop would never work.” How she had managed to secure a spot in the exams ill never know hopefully next time she is better prepared..if she survives by some miracle” he muttered to himself as he grabbed his items needed and made sure to strap his ornate katana to his side like normal. [break][break] The blade was still being rather tempermental and for the life of him Sol still didnt understand how to get it to work for him correctly yet he couldent part from it as it felt like it was always was meant to be wielded by him. As he reached the bottom of the stairs and saw one of the family servants waiting for him he smiled a bit.”Sol sama are you all prepared and packed for your training trip?” she asked as Sol nodded a bit."I am Sheena san and thank you for helping me get there with your spatial magic it makes the trip much easier” he said as she opened her spell book before forming a portal before him it appeared as what looked like a ball of water before it then widened into almost round mirror with rippling edges. Picking up his things the Blood mage bowed his head a bit and smiled.”thank you again and wish me luck” he said before he would step thru the mirrored surface and emerge on the other side before he blinked at where ha had been transported. [break][break] The moment he walked thru and the portal closed behind him Sol instantly felt his heart sink and despite looking calm it was clear to see there was panic in his eyes as he saw the dark areas around him and the shadows blanketing the area.”oh no you have got to be kidding not again this is a near constant reminder of the time I spent in Kikka” he muttered to himself at the volume of a whisper. While he had mentioned to a few people that he had some issues with shadows after the events of reclaiming the town of Kikka he honestly had more trouble then he had been letting on, at this point the Blood mage was extreamly jumpy around shadow users and was even worse in pitch dark environments heck he was using a light source in his room until he fell asleep then it was enchanted to go out. It may have sounded foolish but Sol was willing to bet he wasent the only one suffering mentally from the events of that mission and no doubt the towns people of Kikka felt the effects even worse and at this point the red eyed noble outright refused to enter the town since it cause a lot of stress and anxity in him. [break][break] He was dragged out of his thoughts when he was approached by a well dressed man coming out of the estate.”please follow me I will escort you to the training ground before taking your bags to your room sir” the servant said before Sol nodded and started to follow him towards the training ground, Once they got near the entrance the servent gave a small bow to the young noble.”this is where I part from you sir you will find your things waiting for you in your room” the man said as Sol once again nodded.”Thank you I appricate what you have done for me" he said with a small smile as he let the man take his bags back towards the estate. [break][break] As he headed into the training grounds Sol blinked as he spotted a few people already there and he slowly walked up and gently coughed to alert them that he was here, as he got closer he gained a gentle smile on his face as he recognized Hinota and got the feeling the two before him were her servants or body guards. He stopped a good eight feet from Hinota so that way he didnt seem like a threat and he bowed deep to show respect. “Hinota San its good to see you again though given the upcoming threat does put a damper on this reunion” he said his tone soft and his eyes held a gentle look in them though it was clear from his body language he was still a bit unsettled by his surroundings. The man quickly bowed in greeting to Luli and Junjie.” its nice to meet you two as well my name is Sol Shinryu I had the pleasure of working with Hinota San on a job back when I was still a part of the Silver Eagles” he explained. [break][break] He hoped that he made a good impression on the two since he didnt want them thinking he was like what the other nobles painted him as which was a bad luck charm, the blood mage didnt let such rumors bother him any more but he still made it a point to try and be polite when first meeting someone it was after that moment that he reserved the right to hold a grudge if he was wronged but so far he hadnt really had things like that happen, the only person that he honestly was still very cross with at this moment was the other member of the exams Griswold and that was due to the man ditching him and the other members in a failed attempt to go thru a dungeon. The man had been quick to rush ahead and was all and all not much a team player even stating that he worked better alone which had made the blood mage wish he had spoken up and called him out on his crappy behavior but that was neither here nor there. Glancing around Sol didnt see anyone else so he wondered when captain Zaven would be arriving and the other member of their team which had Sol wondered who would be joining them. In truth he prayed that it wasent Willow or he would have to resist the urge to raise concern over the selection of the teams. [break][break] The thing that still was rather comforting at least was that Sol knew that Hinota was no slouch to be picked for this team and fight and of course her captain was tough as nails as well so he had high hopes that the final member would be just as strong.'we all need to get stronger if this threat is really as tough as they have made it out to be we need to push our limits, I may not be as weak as I was when I fought in Kikka but I still have so much to learn and strength to gain I refuse to feel that weak ever again' he thought to himself as he had vowed on that mission to become stronger and to stand unrivaled by any other mage which meant he would have to work twice as hard as any other mage he would need to sweat and bleed and break his bones to reach his goal but he intended to do it and he wouldn't let anyone tell him he couldn't do otherwise since he had his mind focused on that goal. Valo Stark
"Don't need a reason to seek strength."
It had only been about two or three days since the Royal Knight Exams, and their team training was to start. But that didn't mean the fire mage took those days off to rest, no it was the exact opposite of that. His training volume only increased further, he wasn't satisfied with himself. His acceptance into the Royal Knight ranks was given to him personally by Zaven Blade the captain of the Golden Dawn. Valo assumed the higher ups felt his current level of strength was good enough to be a Royal Knight without even having to take the exam, but he participated anyway. It was just his nature to work for everything that he attained, and everything that he wanted. It was just in his nature to compete and test himself against the other powerful mages of clover, it was just in his nature to strive and be the best. And he wouldn't let complacencies distract him of his goals. The more he achieved the harder he had to work, it was that simple to him. But he felt it coming the plateau of his own personal strength, he still had a ways to go before he was truly on the same tier as those like Zaven, Lydia and Ardere. But he was beginning to reach the upper limits of his own power, the question he had was how could he surpass it? And the Royal Knight Exams gave him his answer.
In addition to that, there was some troubling thoughts on his mind. He wasn't completely worried yet, but it had been some time since he heard from or saw Hinota. And not hearing from her in just one week was odd, let alone three. He tried not to worry himself to much about it considering their work as magic knights, there was going to be times they wouldn't see each other for a few. But if another week went by and he didn't hear anything, he was going to drop everything and start searching for her. He knew Zaven was getting worried as well, when he came to visit. He figured he could ask the Golden Dawn Captain, when he saw him later today.
Finishing another intense morning training session, Valo was walking back to his room with Agneya following close by. A towel was draped over his head. "Are we going to that Royal Knight team training thing Valo?" she asked him casually, there was pinch of interest in her voice though. "Yea. It's most likely mandatory. So we probably have to." he answered walking into his room and starting to pack his things. "And it will be good for us." he added on with a small smile. "Good for us? How?""We are going to learn how to do what Hania and his spirit did during the exams. His increase in power, strength, speed and overall ability was tremendous. We're going to do the same thing, we're going to Spirit Combine!" The enthusiasm in his voice was pretty clear.
"That's not what it's called idiot. It's called Spirit Dive." Agneya said flying around the room, but eventually stopping to take a seat on the bed. "And...I have to tell you something. You might not like it, but learning Spirit Dive is...hard for-""Stop it.""Whaa? Don't interrupt me! I'm trying to tell you something important! It's about Spirit Dive!" Valo replied the second she was finished talking. "And I don't wanna hear it. No excuses. I don't care how hard it is. I don't care how long it takes. We are going to learn it and we are going to master it together." Valo said his voice was confident and stern, once the fire mage set his mind on something that was pretty much it. There was no stopping him from then on. Agneya looked annoyed but on the inside she was smiling, she was pretty happy someone like Valo was her partner.
"Valo...are you worried about Hino?" The spirit suddenly asked him tapping her fingers together. The fire mage took a breath in and thought for a moment before answering. "Honestly...yes and no. Hinota can take care of herself, I don't doubt that in the slightest. She won't ever hurt anyone, but someone actually getting the upper hand on her are pretty slim. But not seeing her for a few weeks definitely has my mind racing, if we don't get answers from Zaven or anyone else. We'll go looking for her." Valo said this now holding the new red and gold bracelet he got her. He got it after there visit to the Tyrant's dungeon didn't really end well, but he hasn't seen her since. He placed the bracelet in it's case and dropped it into his bag. "I'm sure she's ok, wherever she is."
Like usual Valo rarely ever left through the base's front door anymore, he simply left through his window. He summoned one of his dragon golems, Massao outside the window threw his bad over his shoulder and hopped on and started to fly over to The Fringe, and the Blake Estate.
Valo was pretty used to the Fringe nowadays, there was a few missions and dungeons that he completed around here. What was new to him though was this brand new Grand Magic Zone that was already being called the Shadowlands. It was stated that this new zone appeared after the Daemon Sven was defeated. But it also happened to be where the Blake Estate was located, and upon flying in over the estate it pretty much matched the scenery. This entire place looked like it was ripped right out of a horror book with large castle's and buildings. Agneya who was resting on Valo's head, poked out. "This place looks...welcoming." causing Valo to smirk.
Eventually Valo had his dragon land on the grounds of the estate, a random stranger approached him bowed and then had his hand out. "You must be Valo Stark. I will take your bags to your room, and escort you to the training area where the others are Sir." the steward said simply. Valo cocked an eyebrow up, he wasn't keen on giving a stranger his things. He also just rather do it himself, he had spent quite some time around nobles but he refused to let their customs intrude on his own. "It's alright I'll carry my own bag. Just show me where the training area is...please." he replied. The steward hesitated and was going to insist, but the look on Valo's face was enough to know the mage wasn't going to budge with his decision. "...If you insist Sir."
Valo with his bad still slung over his shoulder was escorted to the training area, he was till a few meters away before his Ki senses started to kick in. His eyes were darting from side to side examining the insides of this large castle, Valo wasn't entirely accustomed to spending a some time away in places he didn't know. So he had his ki senses turned on alerting him of a few ki signatures two of them that he already knew, one was Sol the noble blood mage he ran into not to long ago. He knew this young man and caught a glimpse of his fight at the exams, Sol had tremendous promise as a magic knight, and hopefully he would join the Green Mantis soon enough. And the other presence caused his eyes to pop, and without warning he went into a full sprint at his max speed so he was like a blur speeding down the hallway leaving the steward showing him the way in shock. Within the next second he burst through the training doors. "HINOTA!!!" he shouted his face now in shock. The fire mage dropped his bag at the entrance, and frantically approached Hinota. "What-what are you doing here? Where have you been?! It's been three weeks and four days. If another three days had done by, I would have burned down!!-" Valo stopped his speech, when the necklace around his neck started to glow a feint blue color.
Relax your temper Master Valorisse, she's in front of you now. She is safe.
Valo took a deep breath in and let it out. "I came here to ask Zaven some questions about where you might have been...after that I was going to come looking for you. I have trust you can take care of yourself, but it was beginning to be to long. But most important are you ok? Are you hurt any where?" the fire mage asked taking Hinota in for a warm hug. Agneya also flew and embraced Hinota by hugging her shoulder.
[attr="class","zavenreescroll"] ”So it looks like everyone has arrived...good.” Zaven said as he opened the doors that were on the other side of the training area, the part of the estate Zaven exited was the right wing where the group would share their meals in the dining hall. Above that was the Office that Zaven had built for himself so he could manage the affairs of his family. ”The Royal Knight selection was needed because of the threats that we now face...All of you are here because of orders from the crown. There is no sugar coating it, we are going to be tasked with dealing with a threat that we know very little about, but...we do know about it. So I have gathered you all here to grow stronger both individually” He looked at Sol Shinryu first, then to Hinota, then to Valo. ”As well as growing stronger as a team. At the end of the day, there is no backup, we are the cavalry and we are the last line of defense in this war against the daemons, and I will not let any more...be hurt by these damned things…” His voice was strong at first, and with it he carried a lot of powerful emotion, but as he neared the end of his speech...even he felt the weight of it all bearing down. ”We are a team, and at the end of the day we are all equals...I am not your captain, I am your fellow brother in arms, and we will finish. This. Fight.” He said as he looked at those inside of the training area. [break][break]
[break][break]
A few moments before stepping out. [break][break]
Zaven saw them arrive one at a time, the first to arrive was Hinota...along with two...personal servants. Zaven was about to go down and greet her, he had not seen her in a few weeks and honestly had been worried sick about her since the report came from the last dungeon she did. Sol Shinryu was the next person to arrive and that stopped Zaven’s brain long enough for him to regain his composure, he seemed to be friendly with Hinota, his service record was quite extensive as well...he had been involved in one of the attacks led by daemons before. Lastly was Valo Stark, the two of them had one previous outing before and he immediately went and hugged Hinota and that was when a deep anger brewed in Zaven, but only for a moment as he knew that from the hug that Hinota at least looked somewhat comfortable. With a sigh he finally reached a thought that put it all into perspective for him and he knew what he wanted to say to them. He wanted to protect these people, the kingdom and the world...of course, but at this moment...he wanted this group of people to survive the most. That was when Zaven sighed and cleared his face of all emotion as he walked downstairs, and out to meet his team. [break][break]
[break][break]
Back to the present [break][break]
Looking at Hinota, Valo, and Sol he gave a soft smile before pulling his grimoire out. ”While we are here, we will work on teamwork, so first off you three will take turns leading the team so that way when we work together what I said earlier about us being equal holds more weight, and to gauge the effectiveness of your own teamwork and for me to gauge your abilities to their fullest extent. The first leader I have selected is the one that we all seem to be familiar with...” Zaven pointed to Hinota, he was not doing this to single her out to be mean, but he knew that in combat, the support type was the best to make decisions on the fly. ”You are to follow directions from Hinota so please take your time and discuss this amongst yourselves, talk strategy. You all know of me and that my magic is of the Shadows, and I will not be fighting to kill, but I will not take this lightly...If you have questions feel free to ask me.” Zaven said this and then sat down on the ground and closed his eyes, he was meditating and Hraban was floating there in the air, the silence was hanging in the air and their task was simple. They had to at least force him to give up.

The doll-like mage wandered around the training area quietly observing things, she honestly felt out of place being here as she hadn't gotten her position the way every other person had. They were either powerful enough to be recognised and automatically offered or they had gone through an exam. She was far from powerful and she had been locked away in her families estate since just after the Wizard King made his announcement, they had found out thanks to Ozma that she had been in Raque when it had been attacked and she had volunteered to help reclaim Kikka. It was because of this they were quite sure she would jump into the fire once more and sign up to protect her home, they were right, she would have. The threat they were dealing with wouldn't let her survive because she was a pacifist and they wouldn't stop at the mist of her home.
They wouldn't care they were selfish creatures that wished to cause pain, suffering and death to any and all things, she wasn't an offensive mage and likely would never become one but that was fine with her. She accepted this weakness and knew she would have to grow in other ways. Still, she didn't believe she belonged here with others stronger and more deserving than herself. She still didn't understand why the Wizard King chose her to do it when there were far stronger and more deserving mages that could do the same as she could and likely better. She was doubting herself and her abilities, she was always doing that but she had been getting better about it over time but they had come back worse than before. She wasn't sure if it was due to her own fears or if it was because of things that had happened while she was at home.
It was then she heard a voice call out to her, it was one she had only heard once within her career as a magic knight and it was just over eight months ago. "Hello again, it has been quite some time since we last saw each other." she said as she turned to look at him now realising that Junjie and Luli had followed her to the training hall, she would deal with that shortly but her deep forest green eyes turned to Sol. "Yes, to be honest, I don't know why I am here. I am not a combatant at all." she said holding her sleeves lightly, she had been told many times by people that she had deserved her position as a magic knight but this was more than just that, this wasn't just a basic magic knight task.
They were fighting daemonic royalty from what she had gathered, far stronger than any of the others that came beforehand. She had unloaded a lot on Valo when they had last saw each other, boy did she wish that day didn't happen, but it had, during that time they had quite the talk and he had agreed that her pacifism did indeed make her a target, he also added that she made up for her weakness in other ways and had earned her position to be on a battlefield as much as himself or others. She was still unsure of her footing on a battlefield especially when it came to standing next to people as strong as her captain and Valo who were more than in their stride. She knew given that she had been a knight for less than a year she was going well but she kept being reminded of how people could do what she did but also be offensive.
"Junjie there's no need to worry, we were looking after a child of a noble, there were servants around." she informed the man who she knew was less than happy at the thought she could have been with a man alone. But seemed to become content when he explained that wasn't the way things were. She had all but let out a sigh of relief when she heard an extremely familiar voice, one that she hadn't heard in close to a month yelling her name. She looked at Valo her heart skipping while her stomach felt like it was filled with drifting flower petals as he came towards her quickly asking her a whole bunch of questions that she really had to take a minute to let them sink in. She could really only stand there and smile.
"I was requested by the Wizard King to turn up here for training, I am sure there are more valuable people that could be helping." she said looking down holding her sleeves truly believing her words, but it wasn't hard to given what she had heard so often over the last month. She looked up surprised that he had kept such close notice on the time they had been apart, it made her smile her eyes becoming glassy as she fought back tears. Over the time apart she was starting to believe her time off the estate... with her captain... with him him and Agenya was nothing more than a dream made by her mind, the one thing she had and refused to give up was the ring he had given her. A single reminder to hold onto hope, a promise that had been forever given by the fire mage.
"After my last dungeon with my elder brother Ozma, he forced back home and that is where I have been since." she confessed looking uncomfortable "My family was worried I would end up fighting the daemons and seems like my continual curse continues because here I am... going to fight daemon number three." she said looking to the ground "Because of my family being filled with magic knights other than my older brother Jirou and what my family values they couldn't deny the order of me being conscripted as a royal knight." she said knowing that her father was far from pleased with what was being requested of his daughter. He didn't want her in danger but that's all she seemed to be in since they allowed her off the estate the first time, she had no idea that Junjie and Luli had also been punished due to her actions.
It had been something they had been ordered to remain silent about when it came to Hinota as she would feel guilty over what she had done. The pair agreed without hesitation knowing the soul that they guarded and just how she would react to such news. Luli only health with the pain for a few days, Junjie hadn't been so lucky as his wounds were still very much apparent upon his back. She shook her head hearing that if it would have been a few days more he would have gone and burned something down "Th... there's no need for that Valo." her voice sounding a little distressed that he would actually go on that kind of rampage in a worry because of her. He said that he had a lot of trust in her to protect herself, she wasn't so sure on that, her eyes going to Junjie and Luli who had accompanied her.
"I'm glad one of us do." she said holding her sleeves again, it was something she did instinctively when she was doubting herself, was anxious or unsettled which actually happened a lot. She was just able to hide it more before due to practice that had been unravelled thanks to her family. "I'm fine now I've seen you again Valo." the moment she was taken in by his warm embrace the damn broke and she started to cry into his chest as she hugged him in return, her hands gripping onto the back of his top. She knew she shouldn't be doing this but she couldn't help it, she had missed him and was slowly starting to believe him a figment of her imagination "I've missed you both so much, I'm so sorry for making you worry." she sobbed into his chest.
Junjie was going to move forward and say something but Luli took the sleeve of his top making him give pause looking to her "Let her this once, it's clear she cares for him and he for her." she said quietly making the man nod "This once." he said in agreement, they, of course, were loyal to their culture and traditions but they also wanted to see the one they served and devoted their life to safe and happy. The pair could tell he was plenty strong and that he cared for her, they could also tell that her tears were of sorrow but there was happiness within it. What would happen beyond this day they couldn't determine but they would remain by the book as, as much as they wanted her happy traditions and customs would be followed.
If the fire mage hoped to make his commitment permanent they both hoped that he knew how to walk through a field of landmines unscathed to gain his prize. Soon enough the captain of their group would make his appearance speaking to the trio, the doll-like mage instinctively pulled back from Valo. She started using one of her sleeves to dry her face while hugging Agneya in the other like a doll, this was nothing out of the ordinary as she often carried the spirit in such a method. She knew that Valo had asked her if she was hurt anywhere but she had purposefully not said anything because she didn't need him to get angry over what she believed to be nothing. She listened to his words and shook her head "Captain, I have no right to be here. I don't know why I was selected as a royal knight over others but this is a training hall, somewhere I shouldn't be." she said honestly
She was a healer and a tactician, she had no offensive capabilities and very few defensive, then being told that she was part of the first and last line of defence worried her. "A pacifist in a fight... ironic..." she said to herself clearly looking unsettled by the prospect. Hearing that they were going to take turns at leadership to learn more about each other and that she would be going first she shook her head "Please I don't want to go first... I..." She gripped her sleeves so tightly her nails went through the fabric and bit into her skin drawing blood. Her eyes closing, she was so sick of this being forced into situations that she had no right to be in. "Very well captain... I will take the role for now." her voice was not as gentle as it was, nor did it sound like it was at peace, it sounded void and numb of anything. Her emerald green eyes showed royal purple spirals within it.
"Agneya, please fly above it's time you and Valo started growing that bond of yours stronger. You will only communicate with him through that bond from this point on until this training session has come to an end. This is so that the enemy doesn't know anything what is being sent both way. Valo, you're the hardest hitter here and by far the fastest so we will be relying on you to be able to do the damage. Myself and Sol will give you back up by weakening the captain and buffing you. I can attempt to keep you shielded and will heal everyone as required. Keep on your toes, the captain is no slouch and will likely change target when he believes there is an opening. I will give direction as I see the need. Everybody fine with that?" she said her voice showing absolutely nothing but concentration to the tast at hand.

[attr="class","julienglass2scroll"] Sol gained a small smile on his face when Hinota remembered him and mentioned that it had indeed been a long time.” it has been I hope you have been well since last I saw you the last few months have been..interesting to say the least” he said though his tone a the end was less then enthused since he had been involved in the reclaiming of Kikka and the issues the the demons happened before that. So far it seemed that the kingdom was facing problem after problem and who knows when it would end. As Hinota would go on to say she didnt understand why she was picked since she wasent a combatent Sol gently shook his head. “ Hinota San just because your not specialized in combat doesnt mean your abilitys arnt needed healers and support mages are just as vital as front line fighters.” he said his tone was soft but understanding as he went on.” I'm kind of in the same boat since my abilitys arnt geared towards direct combat but more towards disabling and restraining a foe iv only just recently learned to make Golems to assist me, if you were chosen for this task dont doubt your abilitys because im sure none of us here will.” he added trying to raise her spirits [break][break] the blood mage knew that while mages that could attack were important the support and healing class were just as if nor more important since they not only kept the fighters going and strong the also restrained and weakened the opposing side giving their own troops the openings needed to win the battles. His musing were cut short as he saw someone else arrive before they suddenly bolted and approached Hinota before hugging her and Sol patiently waited for their conversation to finished before he looked to the green mantis with a smirk on his face.”Good to see you again Valo your looking well, I hoped you liked my match at the exams no matter how short it was” he greeted with a small chuckle at the end, while he didnt like that his opponent had been so eager to throw in the towel he felt that he had demonstrated his skill in one of the best ways possible in that he wasnt aiming to be glitzy or showy but he was efficient and straight to the point intent on knocking his opponent out as quickly as he could so the threat was neutralized. [break][break] “I must say your match in the exams was quite a show from what I caught of it” he commented knowing that from what he had gathered the battle between Hania and Valo had been one that was watched the most intently which Sol could understand why that was the case they were stronger then the others so it was important to judge strength, his battle with Willow had been different as it wasent their strength that was important it was how they could work the battlefield and the tide of battle to their advantage. It was then that the Zaven came out and greeted them before giving them a very uplifting speech which while it made the blood mage feel a bit better it also reinforced that this threat was one of the biggest things that has happened to the kingdom since Kikkas fall and reclamation, at this point there was no backing out no turning tail and running the three of them were chosen for a reason and Sol was intent on making sure this threat went down for good even if it would end up costing himself the ultimate price. [break][break] As Zaven explained that he would not be coming at them with lethal intent he none the less would still be putting in effort to harm them and toughen them up which made the ebony haired noble nod as his ruby eyes locked on the captain.”understood Sir im glad to hear you wont be using kid gloves for us no doubt we will need all the training we can get” he said before his ears caught the sound of Hinota less then pleased she was being made to lead the group first. It made Sol blink in surprise but before he could say anything he saw her close her eyes before she spoke again and this time it didnt hold any gentleness as she agreed to what Zaven had decided. The golden dawn mage would then go on to layout a plan with Valo has the main attacker while himself and Hinota would be the support by healing and buffing themselves and the main attacker while also working on restraining and cursing the captain so that way they could get him to a state to give up. [break][break] Upon hearing her words Sol took a deep breath as he nodded and he settled into a ready stance as his grimoire slipped from its holster on his hip and floated in the air ready and glowing slightly with its owners mana as he had one hand one on his katana.” I understand Hinota San my abilitys are at your disposal!” he said his voice was no longer soft but became ridged and focused solely on the task at hand and the orders he would soon be given while his eyes lost all warmth and instantly set into a fearsome glare that could potentially make lesser men freeze from terror, they were the eyes of a predator and even in this darkened environment they seemed to glow faintly adding to the eerie look of them. There was one thing that had the blood mage bothered slightly and that was the sensation he felt from his katana the moment he had placed his hand upon the handle of the blade. [break][break] The blade was still being tempermental with him and he still had yet to fully unlock what powers it held but just now when he had gripped the blade he got a whole new sensation from the weapon, it was as if this area for some reason had supercharged the blade and it seemed to be brimming with power to the point Sol could swear the blade was humming with how much strength was now held inside it but it also raised a new problem in that could the noble wield the weapon safely. The last thing Sol wanted to have happen during training was to draw the sword and have its abilitys run rampent. The Ruby eyed noble let his grip on the handle slacken a bit as he had second thoughts about wielding it at this moment.'I should stick to my magic and hand to hand combat if my back is against the wall I cant risk something happening to myself or my team mates if this blades being even more tempermental then usual' he thought while his gaze was still on the captain before the three of them. [break][break] While Sol was not the most knowledgeable of the magic knight squads he knew that all the captains were no slouches and the fact that this estate was in the mana zone of shadows instantly made the blood mage realize that the captain before them most likely used such a magic with masterful effect.Sol knew he was going to have to swallow his unease and steel his resolve to face such a foe, if his hunch was correct and Zaven did use shadow magic it meant that his spells would most likely hit them even harder then usual which the noble honestly didnt mind since without struggle or pain there was no growth so despite the fate awaiting them he internally looked forward to the trials before them. Connected to the onyx there seems to be additional ruby fastenings with ruby chains connecting one part to the next, near the top there is a ruby set in gold that leads off to three carmine red tassels. The handguard seems to be made out of gold leading into the hilt a hilt that is just under half the size of the blade that covered in lackered red marble before being surrounded in black ribbon with gold helm and small ruby beads at each crossing pattern of the ribbon. Valo Stark
"Don't need a reason to seek strength."
Valo's eyes were glued to the flower mage hoping she was ok, to him her safety and health was more important to him than nearly anything else. She started to cry into his chest, and all he could do as embrace her. He didn't know why she was crying, but the flower usually tended to have tears in her eyes. Hopefully in the future he could put a stop to all of that. Now that he had a moment, he looked around a bit. His ki senses already alerted him of people's presence but now he got the chance to look at them with his own eyes. "We've missed you too Hino!"
There was Sol a friend of Valo's whom the fire mage nodded too, and two other strangers who seemed to accompany Hinota. Valo gave them a look not knowing what to think of them. But if they were friends of Hino, they could potentially be friends with Valo. But something about them didn't seem to friendly, they looked more concerned then anything.
Eventually Valo went go give Sol a proper greeting, leaving his fist out for a fist bump. The blood mage was definitely stronger now than the last time they met, which made Valo eager since he was planning on joining Green Mantis. "I did catch a glimpse of your fight! It was impressive, especially holding your composure when Ardere decided to interrupt. You showed crazy growth! I look forward to where you end up!" Valo said honestly. The fire mage was competitive and his seek for more strength was only rivaled by a few, but with that being said he also really looked forward to other mages who sought strength just as much as he did. It only made it more exciting to be a mage.
Valo heard the comments about his own match from Sol, and he grinned in response. "Appreciate it. Hania is amazingly strong, and pretty determined. I think we both learned allot from the match." Valo replied rubbing his chin as he always did. Thinking about that match, he had to learn how to correctly use Spirit Dive. He would accept nothing less.
Eventually Zaven made his appearance, the shadow mage was just as to the point as usual. Valo respected that about him, he always just cuts straight to the point. He gave a short statement on why they are here, and the Daemon threat. The last time Valo had to face Daemon's he wasn't strong enough to make a difference, but now that wasn't the case anymore. He was four times as powerful compared to his return to Kikka, this time he was going to make a difference. But even he had to admit his overall mindset on Daemon's had changed. Now he didn't look at them as heartless beings that were just corrupted to destroy, no now he knew some of them had a decent heart. But this didn't mean he wasn't going to take one down permanently if he had to.
When Zaven announced they would jump straight into training, the fire mage had a decent size grin on his face and started to stretch his limbs. He announced that Hinota would serve as the leader this time for training, which Valo had no issue with. She was the perfect leader in his mind, but what did shock him was her protest to it. Hinota was a pacifist and didn't really engage in direct combat, which was fine because she made it up in a plethora of ways. The fire mage knew her confidence could fluctuate at times, it's not that she wasn't capable of being an excellent leader and tactician. It's that at times she was simply unwilling too, at least in his opinion. But what was odd to him was that she still felt she didn't belong in these ranks, when she has proven time and time again that her abilities and mind were extremely crucial. It just seemed she was taking more steps back, rather than forward. Valo looked at her with concern in his eyes. "Hino. You'll do fine. We've done things like this before, it's just a training exercise. We've faced two powerful Daemon's together. This is nothing compared to that." The fire mage said to try and reassure her. The fire mage was very confused.
It was clear she was uncomfortable, but no one came here to be comfortable. She was gripping her sleeves again, as she always did hurting herself in the process. "Hino..." Valo was going to attempt to stop her, but she spoke again. But her voice was unlike what it was before, he never heard her speak in such emotionless tone. His concern for her was growing, even Agneya noticed something was different as she flew towards the flower mages face noticing her eyes change. She continued to fly above keeping a bird's eye views of the battlefield.
Valo took a deep breath in and let it out, stretching his legs. His red gauntlets अग्नि, Agní, were strapped to his lower back just in case he needed them. But he assumed he wouldn't for this training exercise. His other items were on him as well, his lantern which was always strapped to his side. And the two pieces of jewelry that also provided exceptional abilities. But the only item he planned on using at the moment was his lantern, that increased his already breath taking speed. The plan was pretty simple, he was going to serve as the main damage dealer because of his speed and power. Sol and Hinota would serve as support with their, restraints, defenses, healing and golems. And he would have it no other way, to be honest the fire mage lived for moments like this facing off with a powerful established captain. He wasn't going to be holding back at all.
"Let's see how we measure up!" Without wasting another second, Valo dashed towards Zaven at his full speed covering forty three meters per second leaving a crack in the ground from where he was standing. Valo would be in front of Zaven in a second, with his right arm cocked back aiming to land a strong punch to his chest that would inflict intermediate damage if it hit. But he wouldn't stop at one punch, he would follow it up with another from his left fist aimed at the shadow mages right arm Then bring his right knee up to try and knee him in the gut, following that up with a swift and extremely fast roundhouse kick from his left leg. Unleashing a flurry of physical attacks to start off the training, hoping to overwhelm the Golden Dawn Captain with his overwhelming speed.
Agneya keep your eyes open on his every move and spell, if he does anything I want to know about it!
[attr="class","zavenreescroll"] Zaven was a careful man, and yet he was also an impulsive man, running off of the thoughts and emotions he had let free he noticed when things were moving forward. He noticed his time was running short in the Magic Knights, the connections he thought he once held were quickly just becoming strands of gossamer thread that he would need to make sure he either cut off with or strengthened for the future. The Shinryu boy thanked him and Zaven gave a small nod but said nothing further as it was to be understood that they would have to do their best to get stronger. He pushed any of those thoughts of connections and friendship away as the little resistance that Hinota put up was finally washed away as a familiar voice showed up. The same voice that now caused his scar to flare up as he experienced a mixture of anger...and anxiety. He experienced a sharp pain as he noticed that Valo too reacted in a way Zaven did in that damned dungeon many moons ago...he was beginning to piece together a puzzle in his head and he had a clue about something, but it was for later. [break][break]
Watching as the possessed Hinota gave orders he listened, everything was seeming to happen in tandem. As she did this Zaven stood up and opened his eyes and readied himself, the grimoire coming out to his side and the book flipped open with a ferocity unseen by these three, he spread his intimidating aura and outstretched his right arm into the sky. The shadow mana began to condense in his hand as he saw Sol get ready to fight, and as he brought his fully outstretched arm down he felt Valo approach, he was fast...and he was at least happy for that, he could not do much, but he was prepared somewhat as his other arm moved to block the second punch seeing as the first was the initial strike and he would be unable to properly dodge regardless unless he decided to unleash his final abyss armor, The others landed, giving the captain a jolt of additional pain, yet it did not stop the spell from going off as he was mid way through as Hinota was giving orders. The shadow ball would explode outward and encompass the entire training area, he purposefully excluded Hinota from the AoE, his own thoughts got the better of him in that instance. The Shadows of Ruination spread out and would deal not only grand damage to everyone in the area of the spell but attempts to debuff the ability to heal or buff. After the spell was done, the grimoire would flip back a few pages as Zaven immediately followed up, not missing a beat even as he felt the pain. ”Envoy of Erebus, let’s fight on an even ground for a bit Valo.” Zaven quipped, as he would attempt to keep Valo at bay before throwing a wide right handed punch, it was a feint that he would follow up with a heavy gut jab and then finally a forward kick. He was moving at a speed of 35 m/s and his attacks were all at the intermediate strength level. He was not sweating yet, but he understood the direction of attacks, and Valo was a great fighter, with proper direction and that knowledge he was a force to be reckoned with. Meanwhile Hraban would fly up into the sky as he would keep an eye on the fire spirit as well as the are in general for Zaven...this was starting to get good.

[break][break] TL;DR [break][break] Spells used [break][break] INTIMIDATING AURA[break] You aren't just someone famous, you're well-known for your brutal, efficient, strict and powerful personality. Those that are near you will feel that pressure, and if they consider themselves your enemy, will feel sweat break out across their skin. All enemies suffer a -5 to all trainable stats when facing you. You may intimidate NPCs freely, and once per thread, may force information out of staff-controlled NPCs in your rank or lower.[break] [break][break][break] Name of Spell: Envoy of Erebus[break] Elemental Type: Shadow[break] Rank & Spell Type: Grand | Physical[break] Reinforcement[break] Range & Speed: Self | 40 m/s[break] Mana Cost: 40 | 20[break] Stats Effected: Senior Strength Buff | Speed + 10 m/s[break] Applicable Perks: Mana Conservationist[break] Description:[break] Using his own shadow as a medium, shadow steadily creeps over Zaven’s body creating a multitude of runes around his ankles and wrists that are almost so intricate that one would be able to swear that they were tattoos if they didn’t know any better. The true strength of these runes aren’t seen at first as there seems to be no change, this is to lure the enemy into a false sense of security. In truth what is happening is that Zaven’s physical strength and speed have both been increased which is evident as he moves forward. When he does the shadow runes around his wrists and ankles burst forth over his body covering everything but his face making him almost seem as if he is made out of shadow, his clothing also seems to change thanks to the shadow into what can only be described as wispy robes drape over the user. [break][break] Name of Spell: Shadows of Ruination[break] Elemental Type: Shadow[break] Rank & Spell Type: Grand | Hex and Curse | Attack AoE[break] Range & Speed: 85 m/s | 150 meters | 115 sq. meters[break] Mana Cost: 40 | 20[break] Stats Effected: Debuffs healing/buffing, 25% sr endurance debuff[break] Applicable Perks: Mana Conservationist, Quick Shot, Area of Triumph, Sinister Magic[break] Description:[break] To activate this spell Zaven must open his right hand facing the sky and move it out in front of him, as he does so a small black almost unseeable orb appears in the centre of his hand. Once his arm is fully outstretched the orb expands to the point it bursts almost like a balloon that had been filled with too much water. This deals not only grand damage to everyone in the area of the spell but attempts to debuff the ability to heal or buff using the clashing rules, this applies only to senior rank spells or lower and gives a senior rank endurance debuff. [break][break]
[attr="class","tamaflowersscroll"] It seemed as if everyone agreed with her plan, Agneya had flown above to give Valo the information he would require going from the sky. It was a smart move but not perfect as this was a grand mana zone it gave their captain a clear advantage over them all. She kept her focus on what happened next. She felt so confused by her emotions right now, it was like there was a war happening below the surface that no one could see. She knew Zaven would be able to feel it thanks to the curse he had sustained from the last time they trained together. She was so frightened that this was going to be a repeat performance but no matter how much she willed it to sleep it was too strong for her to overpower. At this point, tears fell once more but this time they weren't clear, they had a red tint to them.

She had no idea if she could use any miasma based spells because she had no idea just how dangerous it would be for the others, she didn't want to hurt them. She doubted her ability to control the negativity that she had never felt until the day the owlbear had died a senseless death. She was being forced to face a darkness she wasn't ready for and it wasn't from an external force, it was from within her. She was begging it to sleep, to give her complete control, that this wasn't the time for such things to happen. That people could get seriously hurt if she couldn't get stronger. 'Aww, silly girl. You're like a precious pearl you'd decorate a shelf so perfectly, just like they want.' the dark voice would say making her close her eyes covering her ears.
[break][break]
'Let me break your chains away and set you free.' it continued soothing to her 'I'm not chained.' she would argue back 'I'm sure your boyfriend over there would argue the fact.' 'Leave him out of this!' she bit her bottom lip to stifle her soft sobs, she didn't need them to get distracted by her. 'Do I have no say in this?' she would ask 'You must have known that this was an inevitability, it's time to give up.' it continued, she shook her head 'I refuse to give in to you, I am who I'm supposed to be. You... I don't need you.' she fought back her hands still over her ears trying to block it out but of course there was no point it was within her. 'A doll thinking it is fine, why is that not a surprise. You are a plaything for others.' it continued
[break][break]
'You aren't happy, so let's have some fun...' it said with a gleeful tone, Hinota knew full well that Luli and Junjie could see what was happening with her and it worried them but they didn't know what was going on. 'Didn't I grant your wish?' "What wish?" she would whisper to herself not knowing what the voice was talking about "On what grounds are you basing this?" the voice would only laugh at her. She brought her hands down but it was like the world around her was a distant thing around her, it was completely out of focus "Every word..." she whispered it was like everything was dancing away from her and she was left with the broken pieces of her mind wondering if she had been forsaken at that moment. She wanted it to stop, she wanted everything to make sense again, she felt like she was losing herself.
[break][break]
"Va... lo..." she'd whisper more to herself as she noticed everything was darker than it had been only a few seconds before, her mind seemed to focus in that moment. She knew she wouldn't have anything to worry about in regards to keeping Valo safe even with her mind being the way it was currently, and the darkness inside her knew that she wouldn't allow it to affect anything that she used for him. She held her hands out "Scatter" she said calmly, it was the first spell that she had ever had that required both verbal and actions to activate. At first, it wouldn't seem like much but a cloud of blue and baby pink coloured butterflies that smell of mint flying around her made from condensed miasma, but she moved it towards Valo, she had no idea just how useful this was going to be but she had to try.
[break][break]
It was easy to think that this was a defensive spell or even a healing spell but at current, the spell wasn't even fully active. As the butterflies start flying above Valo they would start to release white and red lily petals that smelled of peach and apple blossoms it would be easy to think that it was a small area of effect but as it wasn't active it wasn't the case. "Reflections." she forgot just how complex this spell was as it had a trigger to not only put it into a dormant activated phase but a fully activated phase. Which it would now start to show as the dual coloured butterflies seem to separate and turn into a pair of phoenix are created one that is made from blue lotus petals that smell of summer flowers and the other of pink lotus petals that smell of cherry blossoms.
[break][break]
As the pair of Pheonix's started to fly above Valo blue and pink lotus petals started falling from their wings. The pink petals would not only heal Valo but he would feel his mana regeneration almost getting a boost as they touched him. It also attempted to cleanse him of the debuffs he was being affected by, she didn't exactly think she would be able to overpower her captain on that but it was just something her spell done naturally. The blue Pheonix's petals on the other hand were more defensive, when they touched him, he seemed to gain an almost blue miasma like mist shield around him that she hoped would help protect him from incoming damage. Sol was going to be a bit more had to deal with but she had some flower only spells, she didn't want to risk it with him.
[break][break]
Raising her hand in front of her gracefully she held her hand out creating a magic circle that started out as red and changed to a baby pink, the aroma of strawberries started to seep from the circle as deep red and baby pink rose petals come forth towards Sol. She could have added another spell but she was afraid of depleting her mana reserves too quickly, she had nothing of the same rank defensively that was without miasma. She did have something weaker but she knew it would do little to help protect him from the onslaught. She had noticed that she was the only one not affected by the spells her captain was throwing out and had to wonder why. "Sol, do you have anything that can debuff speed, endurance or strength because if so they need to be used now." it was easy to see that this wasn't an order but it was clear she wanted it done.
[break][break]
"Captain! Why are you holding back against me?" she called out finally her eyes turning towards the elder man "You say we are equals, that we fight on this battlefield as such yet you are pulling your punches against me? Do you believe me so incapable of taking the damage because I may break Or is there something else stopping you?" her voice was cold towards him still, it was still emotionless but somehow dripped with venom at the same time. It truly was unlike the flower mage, all the while the tears hadn't stopped but that was because the war over her body hadn't stopped, it was like living in a nightmare as far as the flower mage was concerned and it was one that she wanted to end as soon as possible. 'Please help me.' her inner self would call out knowing all the while no one would be able to hear her pleads.

The rose petals start seemingly dancing around the target as if trapped in an air current. By using the ammo rules allows the petals to split off from the original target to heal additional allies, while these petals are dancing around her allies it will continue to heal them over time while attempting to remove any hexes, curses, poisons, venoms via the appropriate clashing rules and heals for Senior damage. until fully healed or she ends the spell. As the butterflies start flying above her they release white and red lily petals that smelled of peach and apple blossoms it would be easy to think that it was a small area of effect but as it isn't active this is not the case. Saying the word 'Reflections' is how she activates the true abilities of this spell is unleashed as the dual coloured butterflies seem to separate and turn into a pair of phoenix are created one that is made from blue lotus petals that smell of summer flowers and the other of pink lotus petals that smell of cherry blossoms. With the use of ammo rules, an additional pair can be created so longs as she has the required control to fly around additional allies. Hinota has no real control of the pair of phoenix other than sending them to fly over the person they are meant to protect. [break][break] As they fly around the person in question blue and pink lotus petals fall from their wings, as the pink petals touch the person who it is flying around they are healed for senior rank damage and can regain +15 each round the spell is active. It is also able to regrow digits like fingers in two rounds and regrow vital organs in four rounds. The blue phoenix on the other hand acts as a defender, as its petals touch the person they seem to gain an almost blue miasma like mist around them that will protect them from grand rank damage, if the shield isn't destroyed then at the beginning of the following round it will repair itself.

Kikka is a town known to be the defensive foot-hold for the Clover Kingdom, it is the town that sits in the grey area of what could be considered the noble region and the common region. It is due to this that there is a diverse range of people and backgrounds that called this place home. [break][break] A young fire mage found himself getting into trouble when he decided to steal some vegetables from a garden of jewellers. The mother of the family was the one that caught him and even told the boy and his mother that they just needed to ask due to them having more than enough. It was the beginning of a new bond between the family and the fire mage. [break][break] Over time the boy grew and where he was wanting to learn the next flashy fire move from the former purple orca. She would tell him that he needed to learn how to walk before he tried to run or those he cared about would get burned by those same flames that treasured so much. Of course, being young he didn't understand what she was getting at. [break][break] The woman's husband attempted to teach the street smart and somewhat rough male his craft. He, of course, got bored real quickly because crafting jewellery was a slow process that often was very detail orientated. Still, the man tried. On the day the fire mage was scheduled to leave Kikka for the exams the man called the young mage into his workshop. [break][break] He was just finishing up a double ring set and told him to put every wish and promise he could into a single flame and release it onto the ring. Somewhat sceptical the fire mage did what he was asked and thought it was for some sort of trinket for the woman that had helped him grow. The man placed the ring into a box and handed it to the budding mage. [break][break] "Valo, we see you as our son and we are proud to see the man you've grown into. You've helped create something that is unique and special, keep it with you and give it to someone that you believe deserves what you put into it." [break][break] The now young man gave bravado with his normal attitude but took the ring. He held onto it for three years until something terrible happened. The family that he had loved so much was taken from him. The one that had seen him at his most vulnerable and had helped him through the grief was a young woman. A woman who themselves couldn't fight due to their beliefs. [break][break] He remembered the ring from all those years ago and offered it to her, telling her if she was ever in danger just to call him and he'd come running.

[break][break] As soon as they hit the ground tendrils of blood would erupt from around Zaven before started to try and wrap around his limbs, the serrations on the tendrils would aim to dig in and start to cause pain as Sols grimoire flipped a page and he quickly held a hand out as a spike of blood formed before him and shot towards the captain. If it managed to hit him it would leave a skull marking on his body and drain some of his strength but it would all depend, it was then that it happened as zavens spell finally triggered and the red eyed noble felt himself drop to a knee from the sheer force of it and he felt the tell tale snap of his mana skin breaking and then he felt it the pain from the spell overflowing over his broken mana skin and sent him sprawling to the ground as he felt his vision becoming dark as the pain was starting to make him black out.”Hinota Valo S..Sorry” he managed to utter before his head dropped and he lost consciousness. Valo Stark
"Don't need a reason to seek strength."
With the flurry of physicals attacks he unleashed, a few hit their mark overwhelming the Golden Dawn Captain. But it was easy to see one of his arms was up in the air activating a powerful spell in the shape of a black orb, it was kind of hard to see but because of Valo's ki sense he was able to make it out.
Valo he's building up for a power spell.
Noted.
When the fire mage landed his blows he instantly backed up a few meters, but by then it was to late. The full force of Zaven's spell was unleashed and it was a power that he did not expect for a training session. But of course Valo's nose twitched when the smell of Hinota's spells hit his nose and he saw them taking effect. Valo still shielded himself from the brunt force of Zaven's spell by crossing his arms in front of him. The fire mage had to take the full blunt force of the spell and it sent him flying back some meters with his entire mana skin broken! "Grraagghh." Valo let out a short outburst as the pain went through his body. This was probably the first time he ever took the full force of a spell like that.
Valo! Are you alright?!
Never better, things aren't right though Agneya. Something is wrong with Hino and...Sol.
He felt Hinota's spells trying to heal his wounds, but the Golden Dawn's magic was still superior leaving a hex on Valo that didn't allow any healing. Valo making his way to his feet, noticed there was many many things wrong with this scenario. Noticing Sol was out cold, his mana skin definitely could not have withstood the full force of that attack at his level right now. And how their support mage failed to shield him at all, meant things were definitely wrong and training had to stop.
"Wait something is..." He didn't get to finish his sentence as the Captain was already rushing towards him aiming to engage in another physical bout. The fire mage sucked his teeth in annoyance, Zaven had increased his speed to catch up to Valo's own. But it wasn't fast enough as Valo was still the faster, the only person that could beat him in all out speed was Lydia the Light mage. And in the fire mage's own mind, no one could beat him in a physical fight although it probably wasn't true. It's what he told himself.
His ki senses always remaining active he knew where Zaven was, how he was coming and how fast he was moving. The fire mage put his left arm up to block the incoming punch, but it was a feint. Valo would attempt stop the gut punch by bringing his free right hand down on Zaven's forearm stopping the fist right before it hit his stomach. Valo immediately after brought his left knee to his chest using his the leg to block Zaven's front kick. Stopping the physical attacks from the Golden Dawn Captain, but did not return his own. There was more pressing matters at hand. "Something is wrong Zaven."
Agneya flying over to Sol to check out his condition, the blood mage was knocked out cold. "He's ok. Just needs allot of healing." Valo first went to check on the condition of his friend and ally cursing himself for not having any healing abilities like Hinota. He heard the blood mage whisper an apology, in which Valo corrected him. "Nothing to be sorry for buddy." Valo gently patted Sol's chest and turned to look towards Hinota. She was in no condition for training because of her mental state, neither was Sol because of his physical condition at current, and in Valo's opinion Zaven did not make proper preparations for this training. No one was fit for training today in Valo's mind and thus it had to end for today. Honestly Valo's temper was beginning to show in his face, but lately he had been getting much better about cooling down.
"Training for today is done. Or at least I am done. Our team is broken right now in more ways than one. This is no way to train as a group." The fire mage said out loud not willing to here a response. Even if Zaven or somehow Hinota wanted to continue the Green Mantis knight would simply refuse. To him training, practice and preparation for getting stronger and facing strong enemies was very serious. He was not born with immense talent and 'chosen by the mana'. Nothing for him came easy. All of his capabilities he had to train hard for and work everyday. So his first training session as a Royal Knight with others among his class being such a sloppy showcase, it began to piss him off.
"Hino can you heal Sol?" Valo asked her suddenly. It was clear to him that she was reluctant to do so and probably unfit to do so right now. But his question still stood, as his unwavering faith in the flower mage would never cease. She was battling with her inner demons at the current, something he himself didn't full understand. The only thing he knew was that Hinota was a amazing healer and a powerful mage with a unbreakable resolve. He believed that even in her darkest moments, she will triumph above all else. He had seen her do it first hand.
Unawares to anyone high above the Blake estate there was floating debris, though, that wasn't what was so special about it. The shadowlands grand mana zone was a disorientated and twisted version of the events that happened within Kikka. The memories of everyone who had been within the place within that last two months had found themselves within the area created by a single shard of Sven's shadow palace. As with the darkness that had engulfed Kikka, the shadowlands had expanded little by little and was still doing so and it was for this reason the Blake family had decided to take up residence within it. They could make sure that everything was as it was meant to be while keeping the spread at bay through means only known to them. Still, there was something significant about this debris, well, more what was on it that would have been enough to set everyone on edge.
On the debris were two figures watching the arrival of the small group that was being sent to the witches forest. The first of the two observers was crouched almost like a leopard ready to pounce on its prey. He was a pale skinned elven male who had long white feathered hair, golden amber eyes, from the eyes he seemed to be crying tears of blood but these were more markings than actual blood tears, down his arm there were silvery tattoos. His clothing was a little odd as he wore what seemed to be a black steel collar around his neck which almost showed him to be in servitude but the way he clothed himself was that of a noble adventurer. The top started off white but got darker as it went down, red patterns were at each side of his chest, there was a v neck that stopped above his abdomen held back bay golden frog clips.
The top seemingly came as a two-piece held together by black frog clips, the sleeves of the top look bloodied and torn, around his waist was a guard that had a dull red gem and some glowing golden amber runes, the top itself almost seems to run to his mid thigh with black trousers underneath as a breeze passed by his white cloak fluttered a little. The other was a pale elven woman that stood at six foot one inches tall, he had long black messy hair with two horns, piercing storm grey eyes and a set of deep wine red bat like wings that seem to have black feathers growing from them. She was wearing a deep blood red Victorian style dress, on her right arm was an arm guard in a matching colour while on the left there was an arm guard that had chains and straps coming from it to her outfit.
The pair had watched as each had arrived and their interactions with each other in curiosity, they didn't have faith that the small group would be much of a match for them of their siblings let alone their mother. Soon enough with a small speech from the head of the group and refusal from the only female it would seem training would start only to abruptly end as the captain had gone to far and their supposed support mage was holding back. The woman laughed almost as if she had heard the worlds funniest joke until she stopped as quickly as she started "Pathetic" she scolded the four below them. "I have to agree, we should just save everyone's time and kill you weak ants where you stand right now." the male said standing up next to the woman.
"The issue is where he would have normally been holding back but he forgot that his magic is boosted by this wonderful mana around you and so the spell he used got stronger." the man said the woman laughing again "If he wanted to be safer he'd have lowered the strength of the spell but he decided to use one of the stronger spells in his arsenol like an idiot even though he knew there are issues." she said in glee but then almost got upset and pouted as she realized something "D'aww, we might not get to have any fun..." the man turned his eyes to the woman "He's going to kill them first." she said almost like a brat "It doesn't matter who ends their life just that it ends at the end of the day." the man stated
It was clear he didn't care one way or the other so longs the task was done. He looked to the woman and said something she looked less than happy at first but grinned nodding. "If you can defeat us we'll change sides and show you the quickest way to our mother bypassing our siblings; if you don't well... there no better graveyard." the male said, the two not taking a single movement against the four below. "We'll be nice and wait until the one on the floor is healed, but that is the only kindness you will get from us as we will not be holding back." he finished once again crouching down watching what was to happen next. They were under strict orders not to kill but to deliver information to the group below, it would be a message the group would regret receiving as the messengers would give them a taste of what to expect if they went forward with this foolish course of action.
[attr="class","zavenreescroll"] Zaven saw what had happened and he was about to speak when Valo decided he would be the first to open his mouth on the matter. Yes his spell was a bit over the top, but these were members of the Royal Knights and he told them he would not be going out for blood, but he was not trying to go easy. He did NOT owe them an explanation, he warned them of this bullshit before he began. Shaking his head he was about to say something when he felt the presence of power above him. Before he could even warn the others they revealed themselves and began to speak at them...not to them in a way that suggested that this was all...planned. ”Valo...Hinota...I know you can hear me, even if you're not of the right mind at the moment...take Sol and go inside...get everyone you can away from here. This is an order.” Zaven said as he interrupted the pair of powerhouses that just appeared and he could not even feel their presence before now. Even with his sensory ability he could tell these two together was a bad idea. He took a deep breath and listened to them, letting them finish before speaking himself. ”There is no need to bring them into this, I trust them to get the job done, what I did...I was trying to show them the harsh reality that I was shown as a child...this world is cruel and well...I…” Zaven is lost in thought for a moment, his brain quickly sidetracked to thoughts of...something...someone else. He wanted to protect everybody that he could, and to do so...he would be a monster. ” I do not give two fucks if you change sides or not, but I will defeat you both and you will tell me how to get to...what I assume is an archdaemon that you call your mother.” Zaven activated his final abyss armor and felt the mana surge through him as he prepared for the fight ahead. He hoped that Valo was at least fucking wise enough to take his warning, but he also knew that the man was as battle crazed as he was in a sense. [break][break]
Hraban was speaking to him in his head, a link between the spirit and Zaven was always there as the spirit tried to convey to his partner that what he was doing was essentially suicide. Zaven just smirked as he told the spirit one thing. ”As long as they all can escape...as long as SHE can escape. Then I will have no problems meeting my end here, but I never go into a fight I do not have every intention of winning.” Zaven thought and the spirit not only heard his thought, but felt the emotion behind it. Sadness, anxiousness, anger...all of these fueled the Blake noble and he loosened up as his grimoire flickered up beside him and the shadow mana of the area began to vibrate, as if in tune with what was about to happen. ”So I assume we are fighting yeah? Good. EREBUS STRIKE!” Zaven said as he summoned the shadow bow, a grand level spell that was buffed up to Archmage as he pulled back the drawstring and let loose a shadow arrow, before repeating the same action to attack both fucking daemons at the same time. He was no longer in any mood to talk, it was time to fight. [break][break]
What he did not tell them, was that he had intended to fight them with a bit of force because they actually needed to know that the daemons they were going to be fighting would be assholes like he was. Was it shitty of him as a leader to do so...one hundred fucking fifty percent it was, but he hoped that Valo would understand him, and he wanted the man to know that he trusted all of them with his back...trust was a hard thing to earn and they had not a many encounters before this, but he had heard of him and Hinota seemed to like him which was all he needed as well. Sol was strong anda monster in his own right and one day he would be able to stand toe to toe against even the strongest foe and go for the win. Hinota was the strongest support mage he ever had seen and he had no doubt that she was a leader, he just wanted her to step forward...fuck he was an idiot every god damn time he talked to her, tried to include her in things...the works...he could not explain that, but he knew that the curse she placed on him when they first met was a little insight on her feelings on any given occasion. These three were leaders, he wanted them to believe in themselves...yet he had failed as a teacher and as their leader...the best he could do was at least buy them time.
[attr="class","tamaflowersscroll"] Before long it had all become too clear as Sol was knocked out in a single attack, it had snapped her back to reality, her own fear of that darkness had made her hold back and if this was a true battle would have gotten the blood mage killed. In that moment she truly believed that there was no way she should be on this battlefield, she remembered the words of encouragement that came from her own captain and Valo but those would only go so far. The issue was her mindset, she was always being told by her own family and by many others she had met along her journey that she had no right to be on a battlefield, that her views were a weakness that made her a target. A weakness to the group around her that had more or less had to babysit her making them vulnerable. [break][break] She knew her defensive magic would never be as strong as her vice-captains but then that wasn't her speciality, she did exceed in it enough to protect those around her. She had proven that, but her true calling was within her healing, an aspect that each spell she possessed seemed to have. She needed a way to calm that awful voice of doubt, the voice that came with the darkness she had never heard until the day she went to train with her captain... the day she had cursed him... the day she almost succeeded in killing him. She couldn't help but believe this was the reason that she held back, she didn't want that kind of ability, she didn't want to harm anything let alone be able to kill it. It went against her core beliefs, she, of course, knew there would be times that such things would need to happen. [break][break] She had proven within that damned tower ruled by a tyrant that she could and would put her own beliefs aside and give a sound decision going forward. She just couldn't be the one executing it due to her want never to do harm, it seemed like quite the predicament at times. She didn't have offensive magic, she didn't use weapons and she was as physically strong as a single glass bead thrown by a toddler. All in all, she wasn't built for battle but to support the ones who were... then why did she withhold on using her stronger spells to defend Sol? If the darkness affected her magic surely it could have made her petals and flowers more dangerous, but, so far it had only shown itself to affect her miasma. There had to be something to that, why only one element and not both? [break][break] Those were thoughts for another time as she ran towards Sol before Valo could even utter a word. "There's no need to be sorry, the fault lies with me. I held back." she confessed as she knelt next to him tears falling from her eyes. She knew it didn't have anything to do with her tactics, they would have been perfect. Her hands came together and showed a lotus with an effigy of Sol within it before it closed around him a lotus would form after the one in her hands had burst and faded. Her eyes went to her captain "Why?" she asked almost as if she didn't understand why he would take such an action "Didn't the incident with the owlbear teach you enough such things? Or the incident with the bandits?" she shook her head looking down at Sol as he healed holding on to the skirt of her hanfu. [break][break] "This is a grand mana zone of your element, from what I saw in Kikka and my studies afterwards it would mean it would boost your magics potency to be stronger. You could have killed him with that one spell! Are you so reckless!? Do our lives mean nothing to you!?" she called out to him in sorrow and anger "We won't have to worry about the daemon thread because YOU are going to end up killing us before we can do our duties." her forest green eyes held royal purple swirls within them, she was fighting for the complete control of her body but she was emotional but not so much that she would fall into the pit of darkness the other side often took her to. "I understand you want us to get a feeling of what we are up against but all three of us have been up against at least one daemon, some of us more than one." she almost yelled. [break][break] It was then two voices were heard from above, she froze still. It was terrifying, surrounded by all this darkness and not knowing what or who could be sneaking around. Her ineptitude wasn't her folly in this case, what was, was the fact she couldn't sense anything coming. It was then she looked at Zaven and Valo, surely they should have felt them coming. She knew Valo was skilled in Ki and her captain was skilled in sensory, yet neither had even felt it, what magic or abilities could these two have that they could have been caught blind sighted. The woman seemed crazed in a way, the man seemed apathetic to the entire situation. The male gave a proposition that they could fight and if beaten they would show them the safest root to the witch queen. [break][break] This would never have been taken, they were daemons and making deals with them was a good way to be branded as a traitor. She didn't hesitate to get on her feet "Junjie, Luli protect Sol until he is able to get up to fight, once done then go inside and get everyone to the basement of the estate, they should be safe there." she said her voice calm but held command to it. The two servants were about to argue but just nodded running to Sol's side to protect him while her healing spell was going on. "We are magic knights, we don't make deals with daemons, so, we either fend you off or we die trying" it truly was as simple as that for the floral mage, she wasn't a conventional 'warrior' but she would do her duty to the best of her abilities. [break][break] She would look to Zaven and shake her head "I'm refusing to follow that order, we stand together and if we fall it will be together. It will not be one person alone making the sacrifice." she said showing she wasn't about to run away in the face of such an enemy though powerful they may be. "How much shame would you have us bring to our families and squads by doing such an act. You can't heal or shield so I'm your best chance to mitigate the damage and heal when you take any damage and Valo is the best bet for your backup for now." she said as her eyes went back to Sol hoping he'd wake soon. "I'm sorry your childhood was harsh captain but it doesn't give you the right to almost kill one of our group to prove a point!" she was still saddened and annoyed at this. [break][break] "We aren't you and you aren't your tormentor... you need to find a way that works for you and that helps us or there's a good chance we'll walk away and figure out training on our own" she wasn't trying to be harsh but she wasn't going to keep being forced into a corner to do things, Sol shouldn't have to worry if he would be getting killed by an ally and Valo... well she could tell Valo was annoyed at how this seemed to be less training and more just the other throwing his magic around like a senseless mana beast. She shook her head, her sensory wasn't the best but even she could tell taking these two on would be suicide "You'd not defeat them on your own, now stop being prideful and accept our help." she would add on knowing the next way this would go. She looked at Valo and smiled her eyes forest green "no verbal communication between you and Agnya allow her to be your eyes and give you the information you need. I'm sorry for my past failures, I'll keep the darkness at bay and we can settle it later." she whispered to him before once again turning her attention to the task at hand.

A person may think that this was a defensive spell or even a healing spell but at current, the spell isn't fully active. (The regen does not affect Hino if the spell is used on her), those under the blessings of the pink Phoenix find that it will actively try and cleanse them of any curse, hex, poison, venom or debuff that may be on them as per the required clashing rules.
