[attr="class","julienglass2scroll"] Sol listened intently as while a few of them were open to accepting the item Hinota had refused the offer which was surprising but the more Sol thought about it the more he could see from her point of view, Elysi seemed to understand as well and accepted the refusal politely mentioned that he understood the worry for his life which made the mantis realize that it would have been taking a way for him to defend himself away and he felt a sour feeling in his gut at what he had thought for a moment before he nodded as he had shifted his decision to Hinotas and trusted in their strength so they would leave the item in his familys hands at current. As his family member turned his attention to Amaya and talked about Hania mentioned how often he trained and how there was rumors of him being a clean freak which while odd was something that Sol didnt see much of an issue with given that everyone had their quirks and he had no doubt that his own magic that had blood integrated into it could cause issue for someone like that. [break][break] It was then that Elysi explained another important factor of the gem markers in that the obsidian ones would draw the wraith like creature to them which instantly has Sol on alert as they had enough issues to deal with in the forest to suddenly stumble upon one of those markers by mistake and draw the thing would be a nightmare in and of itself.as the elder of his family turned his attention to him as he had mentioned keeping his mouth quite on certain subjects and mentioned that for their family speaking on certain subjects to those not privy to them could be far more deadly, that didn't shake Sol as he knew his blood family was extremely secretive and that comment towards him just affirmed how far they went to keep such secrets safe and he understood why he needed to remain adamant on secrecy as well even to someone as close to him as Amaya. [break][break] Sol was also warned to be careful what he wished for as once he stepped onto that path as Elysi put it that there was no turning back, however it still didn't sway the tall mantis from his goal as he wanted to be reunited with his birth family and be welcomed back to them as a full member rules and secrets included and he would do what it took to achieve such a thing.”I know once I start I can't turn back but I will move forward on that path though I will be careful as well” he said to his family with a small smile. As Elysi laughed a bit at how he had been scorched a few times and mentioned that he was getting him ready for what was to come.”yeah he really did though he did learn to avoid me getting a grip on him too” he said with a chuckle as well, he was of course referring to his decay magic which had the nasty effect that his touch could amp up his already dangerous curses even more deadly should he managed to lock his grip on a foe. [break][break] Once he had learned about such an effect his touch had Sol had actually been practicing and training his grip strength not only to cause more damage with his hands but to make it extremely hard to get his hands off someone if he managed to actually grab them. As Elysi told him he was glad that he would be careful on this mission and that there were things that would stick with people throughout their life but they couldnt let them overwhelm them, he went on to explain that fear wasnt bad and that it was a healthy thing to have but that to have courage was not the absence of fear but to overcome it when you need to. Sol nodded knowing what he meant as even now when they had started out Sol had instantly sensed unease in himself from the forest as he had swore he had felt eyes on him still he pushed forward and carried on “I know what you mean it is important to keep calm under such odds as panic only causes mistakes which can be fatal” he said softly. [break][break] Hearing his family mention that it was a foolish way to look at the situation as wanting to reunite and catch up with his family but he did respect it and warned that if he wanted to take refuge here all he need do is look for red agate which only he would be able to see, as he was the only one that heard that he responded back just as soft so only Elysi would head.”Thank you for that Elysi though I swear I will see to it that we will both get out of this forest and return home” he said his tone quite so only he heard but there was honesty and conviction in his voice as he told him that. They would wait on Amaya to change and as she did it seemed that Elysi wanted to make it clear to him that the creature they were dealing with was dangerous and that was all there was to it and even mentioned to Hinota that he just hoped that they would be able to bring the corrupted Delothosin peace by ending the nightmare he was in,Sol nodded at that and though he was always ready to do was was needed even cutting a foe down in defense of the kingdom he had to make sure he had his resolve steeled as even if it was family that was corrupt it was still a threat to the kingdom and he would deal with it as he would any other. [break][break] Sol blinked as he was scolded by Elysi again mentioning that he could deal with someone on his own but explained he understood why he was being jabbed at and why he was so harsh with himself and amaya noting that it was his limited education with their family and Amayas mindset of a socialite which could get her into trouble,Sol then heard Jin offer an apology to him as well as Elysi as well and Sol nodded in understanding.”its ok Jun Its water under the bridge besides we need to make sure we get out of here so no hard feelings” he said gaining a smile at the end knowing that his team mate had understood and that their was no anger between them. As Elysi would explain the changes on the map and how the obsidian side was dangerous due to the beast roaming around and the blue side was fine he warned that it could change at any time and then questioned what the would do now. [break][break] At that Sol thought for a moment before he spoke.”at this time I think we need to continue the mission we have gained valuable insight and ways to move forward as well, not to mention this downtime has given us a change to recover and be ready for whatever is thrown at us next” he stated before he looked to Hinota Amaya and Jin.”but thats only my thoughts on the matter at hand its not just up to me what to you all think?” he asked knowing he had good points but he was not the only one who had a voice in this matter and he would rather everyone voice their opinion before they made a decision at all. [break][break] An ornate katana with a twenty-four-inch (60 cm) blade. the sheath is made of what seems to be made of marble which has been carefully carved into and engraved with what looks like ruby, the base of the sheath has a gold kojiri. Just above the midway point, there seems to be a piece of onyx that has been set around the sheath, the top and bottom of the onyx seems to have the same white marble though it has been fashioned to look almost like fur or feathers. Connected to the onyx there seems to be additional ruby fastenings with ruby chains connecting one part to the next, near the top there is a ruby set in gold that leads off to three carmine red tassels. The handguard seems to be made out of gold leading into the hilt a hilt that is just under half the size of the blade that covered in lackered red marble before being surrounded in black ribbon with gold helm and small ruby beads at each crossing pattern of the ribbon. [break][break] The corrupting shadow was made using an unknown method outside of a certain noble family within Clover. This family has been shunned by many other noble houses because of their appearances and they macabre magic that they are born with so choose to remain in the forsaken region instead of the noble. Not a lot is known about this secretive family, it's hierarchy or its family mechanics and they aim to keep it that way, it allows them to continue doing what they are without too many questions being asked. One thing people will notice of this family is that when they pass their trial of adulthood they start wielding a weapon of some sort and how the dynamics of the family will change to that person. Jin Zhongli
Jin's eyes widened for a bit when he heard Hinota's words on the wraith like being, being part of the Delothosin family. He thought his family had secrets but this was something else. The entirety of this Delothosin family didn't really tug at his interest, only when it came to him directly. Whether the information being told effected his own life. But he was growing more and more suspicious of this family the more he found out, perhaps when he got home he would do some more background checks to see if they truly were a threat to his own home.
The white haired rogue was also taken aback when Hinota denied the item, she was smarter then most did she not deem it valuable? No that wasn't it, its because she's a selfless person a pacifist and a magic knight. The safety of others in her point of view will always come before her own. Jin was a rogue, the safety of is own well being will always come before others in his point of view. A small smirk was on Jin's lips as decided to no longer push the subject. His smirk lingered when she whispered calling him a curious man, and wanted to ask him and her bodyguards some answers. Whether her questions would be answered only time could tell. But Jin had no intention of even telling Hinota about the true inner workings of the Zhongli.
It was getting harder for Jin to hold his tongue, the more the subject went on and on about Elysi's preferred way of being addressed. Jin was not shy about expressing his thoughts, even if no one agreed with him even when it would land him in trouble. Of course depending on the circumstances. Out of all the Zhongli children he probably did the most time in the chambers because of his tongue, but he always been smart enough to never let ruin a mission or objective. He wouldn't do it here either.
Truth be told the only words Jin actually cared to listen to in this situation was Hinota, Sol and Elysi's words simply went in one ear and out the other. But he would have words with Sol as soon as the opportunity presented itself. The only reason he didn't snap back at Elysi at this very moment was because his knowledge on the current situation was extremely vital, and he would not ruin that with his own selfishness. But had it not been for the situation at hand Jin probably would have tested the elder Delothosin. But maybe for another time, for now he would simply think of Elysi as a man who had wasted five years of his life in this forest cause of his own choices. "Yes I think I will be more mindful in the future."
Now was the time to leave, they now had much more knowledge then before on how to tackle the daemon threat and other things in this forest. Jin did a light bow towards the elder Delothosin "Thank You." and his words were genuine even if he didn't particularly like the guy. If his knowledge had proved correct Elysi Delothosin would play a vital important role in them ending this threat. Jin made sure he had everything he needed before walking towards the door.
"Now where is Zaven Blake?" Jin asked

[attr="class","tamaflowersscroll"] The flower mage remained silent in the moment, there was no reason for her to add anything at current at least in her mind. She knew that there may be questions about why she had declined the item, but she also believed that it had to do with her worry about his life and where that was part of the story it wasn't the complete one. She was quite sure that Elysi was quite capable of surviving without the use of the magic item after all he had been there for five years and was still breathing. That in itself concerned her if she was completely honest because he wouldn't have always had his sanctuary and they would have been hunting him and surely would have found him, yet he was there unharmed. Something to the gentle mage just wasn't adding up but for now, she kept her thoughts to herself as she didn't want to cause a witchhunt without proof. [break][break] She did keep notes in her book of what he was saying about the daemons, the mana beasts, the gemstones. It was all important and would be needed at one point or another she was sure. She listened as the changing map was explained, she had never seen a map spell that worked like that so it was very unique, but then, due to her lack of speciality in sensory she had no real idea if this was indeed normal; perhaps she would ask her retainers when she returned home. "A path isn't so black and white Elysi and you can walk off it at any point, however, at times it may not be in your or other's best interest." she eventually commented on the subject, it was clear she was speaking from personal experience as she almost looked regretful. [break][break] She would listen to Amaya and cover her mouth with a sleeve-covered hand as she chuckled "Your cousin pays nothing for his clothing, I know this as it is my family's seamstresses that make his clothing. A gift from my family to yours, however, you would be correct that if he was paying for his clothing then he would be paying quite the fee." She would once again fall silently as Amaya accepted the offer and moved to get changed quickly, when Amaya finally came back out the floral mage moved over and helped her fix a few issues that she saw to make it more comfortable for her and make her seem more like a female even as she wore the male clothing. "This will help the clothing feel lighter and less restrictive while allowing you to feel more like you are wearing your own clothing." she said with a soft tone, she was used to this type of clothing as she made Valo's for while he was on the estate. [break][break] Hinota looked at Jin as she had attempted to give her condolences "Elysi said about it, I was just giving my condolences as I can't begin to understand how terrible it must be." she said her tone showing sadness "That the daemons would do this to people just so they could toy with them..." she felt her heart hurting just thinking on this matter. As the conversation changed she saw Jin smile when she called him curious and said that she, he and the two people she was closest to on her family estate needed to have a chat when this was all said and done. She didn't know if she'd get the answers she wanted but she would at least attempt to garner a glimpse of what was going on. [break][break] She watched Jin carefully as he spoke, she doubted that was all he wanted to say about things but she was glad he was at least being civil for now if that was the case. She went and looked over the map once more trying to map out the best route to take, it was easy to see she was weighing the options due to how she was looking at the map and the ways her eyes were moving. It was a long few minutes but eventually, she would turn around and bow in a traditional manner to Elysi "Thank you for your hospitality, we'll be leaving now." she would say politely before waving goodbye she then turned around "According to Elysi he's doing some scouting, it sounds like something he would do if he didn't have enough information. I hope he is safe." she would say as she exited the sanctuary, as soon as the others did the same she would begin moving away from the path in what seemed like an odd direction.

Kikka is a town known to be the defensive foot-hold for the Clover Kingdom, it is the town that sits in the grey area of what could be considered the noble region and the common region. It is due to this that there is a diverse range of people and backgrounds that called this place home. [break][break] A young fire mage found himself getting into trouble when he decided to steal some vegetables from a garden of jewellers. The mother of the family was the one that caught him and even told the boy and his mother that they just needed to ask due to them having more than enough. It was the beginning of a new bond between the family and the fire mage. [break][break] Over time the boy grew and where he was wanting to learn the next flashy fire move from the former purple orca. She would tell him that he needed to learn how to walk before he tried to run or those he cared about would get burned by those same flames that treasured so much. Of course, being young he didn't understand what she was getting at. [break][break] The woman's husband attempted to teach the street smart and somewhat rough male his craft. He, of course, got bored real quickly because crafting jewellery was a slow process that often was very detail orientated. Still, the man tried. On the day the fire mage was scheduled to leave Kikka for the exams the man called the young mage into his workshop. [break][break] He was just finishing up a double ring set and told him to put every wish and promise he could into a single flame and release it onto the ring. Somewhat sceptical the fire mage did what he was asked and thought it was for some sort of trinket for the woman that had helped him grow. The man placed the ring into a box and handed it to the budding mage. [break][break] "Valo, we see you as our son and we are proud to see the man you've grown into. You've helped create something that is unique and special, keep it with you and give it to someone that you believe deserves what you put into it." [break][break] The now young man gave bravado with his normal attitude but took the ring. He held onto it for three years until something terrible happened. The family that he had loved so much was taken from him. The one that had seen him at his most vulnerable and had helped him through the grief was a young woman. A woman who themselves couldn't fight due to their beliefs. [break][break] He remembered the ring from all those years ago and offered it to her, telling her if she was ever in danger just to call him and he'd come running.

When a connection is made an identical book is created in front of that person with the casters name so they know who is contacting them. As those communicating speak the pages start to fill in with blue flaming text as if being written, this is so facts can be looked over at a later point while the spell is active. As this is only junior currently only one person may be contacted at a time. If used for reinforcements the person being asked must wait 2 rounds after the initial contact has been made before they can enter, as this ability grows stronger it will allow for contacting people in other areas, if contacting people in other areas and requesting aid they must wait 4 rounds after the initial contact has been made before they can enter.

A warm gift for Hinota Yuiee. After spending a few weeks away from the flower mage, Valo had crafted a beautiful bracelet as a gift for her. To show her that he cares about her, and he plans to do better by her. He never wants to spend weeks away from her again. And as a symbol for his commitment, he got Warmth's Embrace made for her.[break][break]

[break] Elysi smiled allowing Amaya to take the clothing that he had offered and didn't pay any attention as she moved into the room that he offered for her to change. It was a well-furnished bedroom that was kept neat, nothing looked or seemed out of place. He would listen to the conversations but not comment much about it. Once she came back out he watched as Hinota rushed over to help her fix any issues she saw, it was odd as he didn't expect a respectable young woman of the east to know how to help fix a male's clothing. He couldn't help but wonder if there was more to it, then again she did have two elder brothers perhaps he helped them if their clothing wasn't as it should be. He guessed that would indeed make a lot of sense and so thought nothing more about it, at the end of the day it had nothing to do with him. [break][break] "They actually suit you quite well Amaya." he knew this was likely something she wouldn't want to hear but it was indeed a compliment for the normal girlie girl. "If I didn't know any better I would believe you a warrioress." he would say with a pleasant tone. He turned his eyes to Sol and smiled as he seemed to understand the darker side of his warning "So long you stand resolute in your decision then I will not try to dissuade you as you seem to understand the ramifications of walking this path." he said leaning back on his chair. "Ah, you were blessed with decay, it is a powerful element but it has quite the double edge to it." he said softly as if in thought. "Do not get into a fistfight with the eldest children, they may not look like it but they'll clean your clock." he warned. [break][break] Listening he nodded "I'm glad you acknowledge that it can lead to mistakes that can't always be undone." he said looking down at his notebook for a moment, his tone seemingly shifting a little. He looked up and smiled weakly "It would be nice to see home again." there was something behind his words but it wouldn't be something any of the group would pick up on as they didn't know him well enough. He noticed that Jin had taken note of what he had said about the wraith "This isn't something that our magic can do." he said believing he may have not explained it properly "My family member made a foolish decision and the consequences of that action is what you witnessed. It was daemonic magic that caused the change." he explained hoping that cleared things up for the group in general. [break][break] "I am thankful that you will be more mindful in the future and I pray that you will succeed in your endevour." he would say as they decided that they would continue on now they had the information that they needed "May the blessings of Gnome protect and guide you." he said watching as they left one by one. He however stopped Sol and closed the door the cabin fading from everyone's sight who was outside of it even if they tried to find it, they wouldn't see or feel it. "I won't keep you long Sol, but I want to give you specifically a warning from one of our family to another." he began his tone completely serious on the matter "No matter how dire the situation, no matter the reason you must never make a deal with a daemon." he wasn't meaning the group but him as an individual. [break][break] "With that said... the wraith..." he paused sighing and looking out the window at the rest of the group "You must be the one to put its life to an end, it will mean that your own weapon will be tainted and can never be used again so instantly sheath and bind your weapon." he said closing his eyes "If one of our family fall to daemonic corruption then our family seek to put them out of their misery. As you can imagine with so many foes I've been unable to give them relief..." he opened his eyes "You are not alone so stand a better chance than I could. Once they have perished, take their weapons and the ring from their finger, and when your task is over return them home. You will also be educated on what happens to tainted and corrupted weapons at this point and what happens afterwards." he informed him. [break][break] "I wish you the best of luck Sol, your future within the magic knights and within the family is bright." he said his voice soft as he spoke to him "Also, I know I shouldn't have to say this but not a word of what we have spoken about now." he said a slight sternness once again in his voice. With that said he opened the door and allowed Sol to exit the cabin to be with the group once more, as soon as the tall male left he would close the door once more and like before the cabin would no longer be able to be seen or felt by anyone.
[break][break]
[attr="class","header2"]GM Notes
[break][break]
With final goodbyes being said the group has exited Elysi's sanctuary and is on their own once more, however, before Sol could exit he himself was stopped and the door closed. What was said or done inside the sanctuary at that point was anyone's guess but after a few short moments, Sol exited to join the rest of the group. It would seem as if Hinota has a course in mind and it isn't on the beaten path, in fact, it seemed as if it was in a very strange direction. Will the group follow the woman or do they want to go in another direction. For those who studied the map she's heading straight into where it was onyx on the map.
"Don't you give me that judgmental thought, it is only this once." She whispered looking up at her staff as she came out of the room immediately seeing Hinota approach her before making adjustments to the outfit. She will admit, she has never had to deal with male clothing other then blouses and pants of clover's male's styles. She has worn tunics and such when training then the next minute she would wear a ball dress. She has never thought for a second of ever putting on a male hanfu as dressing up as anything other then a notable female style was never in her cards and always discouraged cause she wasn't a male like Enlil, sol or Hania. She was a female, Wearing garments not meant for her was never allowed unless dresses for whatever occasion requested for her to wear. [break][break] She allowed Hinota to make the adjustments as she nodded " thankyou Hinota. it is so strange as the material is much different along with the design but it still feel comfortable enough to wear for a time." She commented letting the flower mage make her clothing a bit more comfortable and lighter. Something she accepted greatly because if there was one thing Amaya hated it was being weighed down, being confined. it was one reason she didn't like wearing ball gowns more then she absolutely had do. [break][break] She looked over at Elysi nodding " Thankyou for the compliment, it is sweet and thankyou for the change of clothing, I will attempt to ensure they don't get too ruined" she said softly thanking him for the clothing. [break][break] She moved with the others out of the house hearing the door shut when it was only elysi and sol inside as she moved over to hinota's side curious of what direction she were to take now. it wasn't long before she saw a door open and a sol coming back out as she looked over at Hinota " So which way are we going to go now?" she asked curiosly. She hate the sensory blanket that felt like a tight sheet around her. she felt suffercated outside the cabin in this damn forest. She pulsed her mana into the ground lightly in acknowledgement that she can still atleast feel that to her senses. She folded her arms as she scanned the forest around her, wishing she knew what was waiting for them.
Aoiveae Isro is a one point Seven meter-long staff made of an unusual pale blue metal of unknown origin, with a unique ornate top making it seem almost spear-like, it is not until the owner channels mana through the staff that its true majestic form is seen. Inside of the staff, the bluish metal seems to become almost transparent and magical energy can be seen going up it, in fact, the energy is so condensed it's almost like electricity can be seen dancing up the length of the staff. From the top that was once seen as a spear tip, a circle engulfs it and from the sides, a set of wings are seen almost like an aurora.
The true origin and creator of Aoiveae Isro remains unknown, even its history to this day remains quite the mystery though it was discovered several hundred years ago. As it was found in the broken-down ruins of a temple within the Aristaeus’ Basin close to the border of the heart kingdom it is believed that it must have held some ritualistic importance. This relic was originally bought from the black market by a noble with the intention of placing it up for auction, this noble doesn't wish to be named due to the method they gained access to the relic and has every intention of giving the proceeds of the sale to the church anonymously.
[break]
Intermediate Lore:[break]
It is only through meditation and inner peace can the true power within be found. The energy feels different, it is almost like a completely different mana swirls within the weapon, it's weak but fluctuates mirroring the owner's own emotions and turmoil, there is no understanding as to what this could mean but it feels like a breakthrough is very close... although for now very much out of reach. [break] Senior Lore:[break] Inner peace and acceptance has now began to settle in to both the owner of the staff and the staff itself. A mutual understanding has been reached and so the staff itself no longer become cumbersome to it's owner almost changing its size to be perfectly fitting. It is almost as if the staff is alive with its own soul as it clearly didn't want to allow itself to be used by someone it deemed unworthy of its power. [break] Grand Lore:[break] ~Get the relic to Grand to unlock~ [break] Dive Lore:[break] With understanding and introspection the wielder can almost hear the voice within, the past memories of the one who held the staff at the very beginning of its creation. Its true potential finally reveled as the staff once belonging to a spirit user. The first memory seen was the pact that they would never part come what may as they both placed a small portion of their life's mana into the staff. An oath that has held strong even now centuries later.

As this is an unusual relic it comes with an equally unusual ability but it comes with a bit of work to unlock. You are required to do a thread of 6,000 words where you come to not only understand the energies within the relic but unlock its hidden secret; that it is capable of a partial spirit dive, and will allow you to have up to three small aesthetic changes while in this form. (The training must be approved like a normal partial dive) You are unable to access this dive ability before the relic reaches senior, the dive will be active for three rounds and it will be five rounds before you would be able to enter it once more, at grand it will allow you to enter the partial dive for four rounds but you will not be able to enter it again for six rounds. You are able to go to the spirit system and choose three abilities you will be able to access while in the partial daemonic dive. As with spirit dive, there are drawbacks that you will receive when the dive is on cooldown. This includes -5 m/s physical speed, -5 mana regeneration, -5 Debuff in Power, Durability , Control, Sensory and you will only be able to access intermediate or below spells. [break][break] In addition to the above abilities, they will find that their spells will have a number of boons and weaknesses to them. [break][break] Boons:[break] - Once every second round the mage may heal naturally one rank below their character rank free of charge, this increases to twice per round at grand.[break] - Able to redirect incoming attacks if the owner's control is +10 than the opposing mage's power stat, lowering to only needing +5 at grand rank, this is only applied if your spell is of equal rank or higher than the opposed one. This can only occur once every three posts. [break][break] Weaknesses:[break] - Unless within a dual specialized spell knock-back will automatically be attached to attack creation spells[break] - Spells cost 20% additional mana from the natural base amount of mana

[attr="class","julienglass2scroll"] Sol waited along with the others as Amaya would go into another room to get changed and as she was helped by Hinota to get adjusted once she came out of the room Sol heard Elysi tell him that as long as he was resolute in his choice he wouldn't try to dissuade him which made the Mantis nod with a small smile showing his appreciation, as his family member noticed that by his description of touching his squad member he realized that Sol had decay and had mentioned to him that it was a powerful blessing but had a double edge to it which Sol once again nodded his grin remaining as he thought back on his training of it.”it is quite powerful but it did take me a good amount of training to be able to handle the drain of it” he explained before Elysi once again would warned against close combat against the eldest daemon child which Sol went serious as he knew he wasn't giving them these words for nothing.”i completely understand while that aspect of my magic is useful right now it would be too risky to try to stay that close against a foe I know little about” he said showing he appreciated the warning and the information his family had given him [break][break] as Elysi mentioned that it would be nice to see home again Sol gave him a smile back as he hoped that soon they would be able to catch up on more things and he could learn more but he snapped out of his thoughts as the fellow Delothosin would go on to explain that that the family member had made a foolish decision and the result was the form that saw which was created by Daemonic magic, as they all started to get ready to leave Sol blinked as he was stopped and Elysi would shut the door before explained that he would not keep him long but wanted to give him a very important warning and the tone in his voice has Sol instantly focused on him with a serious expression on his face. He went on to explain that no matter what and no matter how dire the circumstances were he must never make a deal with a daemon which Sol knew internally was a bad idea to even consider. [break][break] While he had heard of such things happening given what he had seen so far and the wraith that was in the forest that was a former family member it drove the point home even further that such a fate could befall him if he was to fall victim to such a offer from their foes, he also went on to tell him something that was instantly sobering for the younger Delothosin and that was that he would need to be the one to end the wraiths life but it would be at the cost of his own weapon which would need to be sheathed and bound as soon as he had done such a thing, for Sol it was a very somber thought as while the wraith was corrupted and twisted it was still family but Elysi went on to explain that it is something that their family did when such a thing happened that they would end their life as a mercy and while Elysi was busy he couldn't manage it at current but Sol himself had a much higher chance to. Elysi also instructed him that once the foe had perished he was to take the weapons and the ring from the wraith and return them home and told him that he would receive an education on what was done when a weapon was corrupted. [break][break] “I understand Elysi and I wont take any deal that a daemon offers not even in the most dire of situations, and you have my word that I will put the wraith to rest and make sure the items are returned home” he said his voice was calm and understanding but it was clear that he took everything that Elysi had said seriously and as Elysi wished him luck and told him his future was very bright Sol gave him a smile as he was also asked not to speak of word of what they spoke.”I wont speak a word Elysi be safe” he said as once the door opened again Sol would step out and rejoin the group as they headed, as Hinota started to head off in an odd direction and Sol had a feeling that she had studied the map more then he did so she might have spotted something he hadnt.”at this time I think we should follow Hinota since we can catch up with Captain Zaven later on if he is scouting” he said as he would start to follow Hinota since he had made mental notes on the gemstones and color meaning but unless they started to actually move it wouldnt mean anything at current. Jin Zhongli
Jin walked outside he hadn't forgotten what the white noise felt like, it was a nuisance. Not being able to use his sensory or any kind of sensing abilities really began to annoy him. Quite sometime had passed since this mission had started, and next to nothing was truly done. No daemons were dead at his feet, he truly hoped with Elysi's information they could make some actual progress.
But the rogue's annoyances didn't end there. Zaven was not around as Jin hoped he would be. Zaven Blake being a magic knight captain and a powerful mage his presence would make things easier, without him it would be allot more difficult. Not that Jin was shy of difficulty, but things could always be easier. Jin let out a very quiet sigh, and noticed the direction that Hinota was headed.
He was surprised for a bit, Hinota was smart but the direction she was headed was headed to a Onyx marking on the map. That meant the wraith was in that area, so he was a bit confused on why she was headed in that direction. "Hinota why that way?" he asked her as he watched Elysi's place vanish from sight and sensory. Now with Sol being in his sight, Jin looked at him and then to Amaya. He would hold his tongue no longer.
"Sol." He said loud enough for the decay mage to hear as he walked towards him. "Be it Shinryu or Delothosin it doesn't matter, I hope to see more backbone from you in the future. Even if it's family stand up for yourself and the ones you care for." Jin added referring to Amaya. It may not have seemed like a big deal to them but Jin's upbringing and mindset didn't tolerate for any kind of disrespect, it was a sign of weakness. Weakness or any sign of it was something his mother drove out of them. They were all a team meaning they each were responsible for each other's lives, Jin needed to make sure Sol was up to task.

Post by Joseph Ravencrest✾ on Oct 13, 2023 1:24:50 GMT -5
Joseph originally a member of the azure deer for a reason, just as he was accepted without testing or question for a reason. Their first magic was sensory, but he also just knew a lot of things not related to magic that connected to tracking and wilderness survival. His physical skills connected to tracking made him perfect for scouting, as one couldn't always rely on their sensory magic. This is perhaps why he had been sent around a month before the team that was to fight Lilith and her deamons in the forest. The man had prepared for the dangerous mission well. The point was to be as unnoticed as possible, or seem as insignificant as possible. To travel, gather the needed data, than return. Even while being a member of the golden dawn, the Ravencrest was still very much deer like at times. His personality was never a fighter, though battle still flowed through the veins. Fintan was a warrior and considering the family, it wouldn't exactly be a surprise to find out that they had fought as well. It was a military family, no matter how bad of taste in women the man had. Yalin may have had a sickness that would drain you if you spoke, but it meant all she had to do to survive was shut up. Before he had remembered her, the man had just wanted to remember something about the mother who so many idolized.
An operatic singer that many still spoke of, her music that had been recorded on magic devices saved and used. Even his own boyfriend had found strength in that womans music. It would be nice if he could just hate her, for she had been the worst mother one could have hoped for. An intelligent beauty that was selfish and would only accept what she wanted. The love so many had for her was one of the reasons why it had been so hard to remember the terrible memories regarding her. If he hadn't been surrounded by corpses and monsters on Hangmans Hill at Raque with Hinota and others, would he have remembered anything about her at all? That person had left an emotional scar so deep that it took that horrible event to pop anything of her out into the open. After that it had been like a slow leak of something foul. The memory of her had colored many memories tat had been positive before her because of actions she took. The guilt would never leave him for crimes the man was not responsible for. Survivors guilt was quite a heavy burden to pull and it became heavier with every good memory recovered. It was hard to focus on those deaths not being his fault when many of those ends had him involved, even if it was as a child that had a weak body.
This wasn't his first time going into the witches forest. The other time was to gather ingredients in order to save a woman from death, which was successful. It was before he knew deamons were here, though this didn't change that it was there. That time hadn't even been going deep, but now every time it seems he might near an escape, he gets chased from it. The man felt like an over sized toy to deamons that seemed amused that he was good at finding his way, at surviving and figuring out whats edible, at him managing to to clean himself. Nobody should make basic tasks harder than they need to be! It felt a bit like his very survival skills were seen as amusement. Were non witches typically so bad witch learning such things? Then again, managing to get all these things done again and again had their price. He was clean, well groomed, clothes in good shape, but eyes looked weary and tired. The corpse like pale pink eyes had dark rings under them, as if he had been suffering from not enough sleep for a good long extended period of time. His hair wasn't braided because honestly... who would he be doing it for? The deamons? Like they would be interested by something as stupid as hair. Then again, the Ravencrest had never actually asked if they cared.
He really didn't want to know. The glasses hadn't been worn for a long time, since the only point in having them on was to make him appear more innocent and harmless. Their long pale peachy orange hair was quite curly and wild looking, but at least it was clean. He wasn't sure how long his mission had been going for, but it had been long enough that all his old food supplies had long since run out. His current supplies were all things he tested and made sure were safe before prepping them and packing them away. This had started before the food supplies had run out, as if a 'just in case'. If you start only when things run out, then you would be half starved by the time you figure out enough things that you can and can't eat. He had a cream colored dress shirt on, brown leather gloves, and brown pants. With his shoes and bad also being brown, the only colorful item being worn was his royal knight mantel. It was more colorful than anything else on his person, even the spirit walking by his side. He had wanted the just in case to end up false, but here they were still stuck in this place. Honestly the golden dawn member was very sure that the only reasons they hadn't killed him was because the spirit he was partners with was an old woman, and they found the man quite amusing. This felt like the worst nature survival challenge one could think of, just add deamons.
The two were walking around, a cup of cold stew in the young adult hands. It would be silly to start a fire just to reheat it and needlessly risky. At least the man couldn't taste it, for they had heard stew tasted better warm. Did it even taste good when it was warm? A question that would be unlikely to ever see an answer. “Joseph, what do you regret not doing?” Rizpaw had noticed before him, but decided to not say anything about it quite yet. Instead, she wanted to have fun first. There were people nearby, and she was positive her awkward bean knew at least some of them. Her tail wagged a bit, even her old self was happy to see more friendly faces. His tired pale pink eyes with their oddly pale pupils briefly looked towards her and away from the wilds around them. It felt like a question you ask a dying person, but maybe that was appropriate. What if they never got out? “I regret not finishing my mission that was just supposed to be gathering information for the group that's supposed to enter later to fight and defeat Lilith. Hania will be fine. Amaya...” There was a pause before he started looking around again. “She's naive, but has Sol to help with that. I regret not having one more time to sleep beside Yugo and watch him read in bed, see him grow more... and Hinota. I regret not keeping my word, when we both agreed to have tea together as friends when she had to go during Raque.”
Joseph thought he was getting their last words out, not that he was being tricked by the carbon matter spirit. After he finished speaking the man sipped the cold food and glanced at her again. It was only than that he realized she was staring at a group of people not so far away. At first he was upset at her, until realizing something. If he couldn't immediately make out what they were saying, than it was unlikely that they heard him talking quietly to the spirit. The peachy pale person was upset at her, but not furious or anything. Maybe more upset if they found out someone actually heard him, but that would be his own fault for not catching onto her sooner. He reached down with his free hand, picking her up up before starting to run over.. “Hinota, Sol, Amaya?!” When was the last time he had spoken above a hushed tone? His voice was healthy, but tired. It wasn't that loud, only above a conversational tone. Still, this was loud for him. He didn't stop running until fully reaching the group, in which he released the tiny deer shaped spirit. Rizpaw was as calm and composed as ever, save for the tail wag she had going. “I thought your group wasn't supposed to enter the forest to fight Lilith until a month after my mission started? Are you... a person short? Did something happen? Lets talk somewhere further from the black marks. Sorry uh forth member, my names Joseph.
One of you, any of you can answer but.. did your mission start early? I haven't been here for an entire month, right?” The man was feeling frantic, though it seemed like Hinota was the leader at this time? She was the one in the front, or so it looked. So that was where he started focusing. If everything had gone at the proper time, it would mean a lot more time had passed than he thought. It was hard to keep track of time when you couldn't get enough rest. He suddenly started chugging the rest of the vegetable stew in a cup before grabbing a cloth out, wiping the item down, than stuffing it away in the well sized bag on his back. That way the cup would be clean enough and the only thing that would need to be cleaned would be the cup. He felt shocked, maybe this was a hallucination? “I haven't seen another human the entire time I've been here...” It was very shocking, but there was also the wonder of WHY that group was near the black mark area. “The black marks are dangerous to be around.” He of course soon started walking along with the group, because that group was moving anyway and getting away from the black markings was good. Even if nothing happened near them that he knew of yet, it just felt to him like an ominous presence of death. The man was normally far more shy, but he was desperate enough for other humans to care a bit less about coming off as awkward or rude.
Words: 1,760 “I know how to talk to people! talking and training is all I did for years. Also, therapy.” To every servant he could every day, any family member that came near that seemed up for talking. He did enjoy head pats, but not the suggestion that he didn't know how to ask things. Kea was certainly hyper, but he did know how to be patient. The man wasn't always the best at it, but they did know how.

[attr="class","tamaflowersscroll"] The floral mage had continued forward without a word as soon as she knew everyone had left the cabin sanctuary, she knew she hadn't hallucinated when she saw a vague shimmer within the blackness of the map. She couldn't help but think the map was attempting to shroud things from them, she didn't want to think negatively of their former host but she still had several reasons to distrust the man but others seemed not to have noticed a lot of the things she herself had. She wondered if it was because she viewed things differently or if she was just overthinking it, regardless of the reason it was of no use to worry about it at current. Hearing Amaya's question she looked over her shoulder but didn't stop walking forward "I noticed something on the map and though dangerous to be in here at current I believe that it is worth the risk, there are amethyst markings in here so we should be safe enough." [break][break] She didn't believe that would be enough to keep them safe as they were all quite far off and this section of the forest was still rather large. She found herself second guessing her decision to come into this part of the forest. They were all sensory blind in a major way, adding that there was something dangerous floating around the area that they couldn't detect even if they weren't in sensory white noise. 'Hopefully, I didn't read that map wrong or this could go south quickly' she thought to herself, she was quite sure that they would find out soon enough one way or another. She hadn't really registered the thanks she had been given inside the cabin from Amaya due to them leaving as quickly as they did. "O... Oh... I'm sorry for being rude earlier Amaya..." she would begin her voice barely above a whisper as she continued to walk. [break][break] Her eyes were on the trees as she kept an eye out for markings and moved accordingly. "You are most welcome for the aid, I make clothing for Valo so I know how such clothing should fall. I even made my own Halloween costume last year where I was dressed as a boy so I know how to make it comfortable and flattering on the female form." her voice was still very low as if not to attract unwarranted attention to herself or the group. "I would suggest we keep talking to the barest minimum in this section at current and that if we must talk to do it in hushed tones, we don't know where that wraith is." she said to the others hoping that they would agree with her assessment of the situation. [break][break] She paused for a moment as she looked around the area once more for an indication of which way would be best when she heard Jin speak to Sol. She could understand where Jin was coming from but she was quite sure things were a bit more grey than black and white when it came to the entire situation "There's no need to scold him Jun..." she started "His family situation is complex, besides Amaya belongs to the butterfly circle of socialites if she allowed what Elysi said to bother her then she shouldn't be in that circle from my understanding." She said her voice low and soft. She didn't belong to the socialite circles of Clover but she understood that they ran on a tier system where you could move up and down in them depending on quite a few factors. [break][break] She knew that Amaya belonged to the most elite of these circles and that they had a mean-girl mentality. It wasn't really to those outside the circle but to each other, almost like siblings teasing and trying to one-up each other as a way to let off steam and police each other. She had witnessed it first-hand when Amaya was on the Yuiee estate and it had been her turn to host, she had granted permission for the tea party to be held within one of the grand pavilions on her family estate and had even garnered an invitation and a chance to play host for them. It was indeed a learning experience. "Besides, Amaya isn't some maiden in distress that requires another to defend her honour, she's quite able to do that on her own." she finished her tone as soft and warm as it had always been. [break][break] It was then she heard a familiar voice call out to herself, Sol and Amaya, her eyes went wide as she ran over to him almost tripping a few times but able to keep her balance thanks to hours of countless dance practices. She moved her hand over his mouth as to prevent him from talking althought she never made physical contact "Please forgive me but we must keep our tones hushed Joseph." she whispered looking up to the taller male with true worry seen in her eyes. "Joseph, you've been missing for close to two months." she commented to his own in regards to their presence. Hearing him speaking on the Onyx markings and being near them her eyes grew with fear as the colour drained from her face "We need to run... now..." She wasn't going to give an explanation there, they couldn't afford to waste time she grabbed his sleeve and started to run the way they had come keeping an eye out for an amethyst marking. [break][break] "We need to run, he's been near the onyx markings... keep an eye out for an amethyst one." she called out quietly as she passed the others keeping a hold of Joseph the entire time. "No matter what Joseph don't look back... until we get to an amethyst marking, then keep quiet and still for three minutes, this includes your spirit partner too... we can explain everything afterwards." her voice held urgency and authority to it even in is soft yet panicked state. It had taken some time but she eventually saw one of the safety markers and made a b-line to it stopping right under the tree as close to the marking as she could she put her left index finger to her lips indicating to be quiet. She could only hope Joseph and his partner would do as she requested when they were running.

Rank & Element: Junior ¦ Fire[break] Class & Type: Relic ¦ Accessory (Ring)[break] Magic Specializations: Sensory ¦ Healing[break] Appearance & Lore:[break] A set of delicate and elegant silver rings with three small round cubic zirconia in the top band and a marquise cut sapphire on the bottom.

The flames are intricate and delicate so they could easily be mistaken as tasteful jewellery. Speaking the name of another while twisting the ring will give them the benefits of the healing. With the use of the ammo rules, additional people can be healed per trigger. This ability heals for junior rank damage, this ability will also actively attempt to cleanse those being healed by it from any debuffs, poisons, hexes, curses, venoms as per the clashing rules.

From the ring springs, a book made with a blue flame cover but upon opening it the flames are an orangy-red as normal. Speaking the name of the person that the wielder wants to speak from creates their name at the front of the book in orangy-red flames.

It is a beautiful red and gold bracelet with shiny clear and red diamonds circled throughout. With graceful elegant carvings of flowers sculpted on the bracelet itself.[break][break]
The bracelet is always warm but never to hot for comfort[break][break]
[break][break] While wearing Warmth's Embrace the wielder also has access to the perk Full Blitz. [break][break] Name of the Ability 熱波 Neppa (Heat Wave)[break]
Type & Uses: Trigger | 6 uses[break] Rank & Specialization: Senior | Physical Reinforcement | Transformation[break] Mana Cost: 24 per trigger ¦ 45 recharge[break] Range & Speed: 40 m | Self[break] Stats Affected: + 20 Speed[break] Description: [break][break] Neppa is a temperature controlling spell, that allows the weilder to increase the temperature in a 40 meter radius. [break] The forest was deadly silent as they moved towards the part of the map that had been completely blacked out on the map Elysi had made. It was as if everything had decided to flee the area due to knowing that an apex predator was around and what it could do to them. The moment the group would have entered they could have believed that they had been walking for hours due to it being pitch black, this, of course, wasn't the case. They had only been walking for fifteen minutes maximum, yet it was as if they had entered a different realm. They would have feelings of being watched yet again, but whoever was watching remained silent, something within would tell you it wasn't the wraith-like creature Elysi had warned you about but that it was still dangerous never the less and so should proceed with caution. [break][break] The group had decided to follow Hinota who believed that she may have seen something on the map within the area that they were told to avoid. She was sure it was like the map was trying to hide the flickering light but pretended not to have seen it as no one else commented on it, not even Elysi. Part of her even believed that she had imagined it, well, that was until the group came across a familiar face; at least for most of them. The peach-haired male called out to them making the flower mage run over and cover his mouth not knowing if the wraith-like being was near or if it would be drawn to them due to loudness. It was then that Joseph had said something that caused the normally kind and reserved woman to panic and grab his clothing as she began to run. [break][break] He mentioned being near the obsidian markings that Elysi had warned them to not go near as it drew the wraith to them. She informed the group to run, not to look back and look for the safety of an amethyst marking. She informed Joseph that they would explain everything soon but they needed to run. It would be up to the group if they followed what Hinota said or if they wanted to remain where they were but the temperature had fallen drastically, wails of pain could be heard from all around from all sorts of creatures experiencing agonizing pain, some voices were women begging for mercy and for their lives to be spared before shrilled screams could be heard before once again that deadly silence returned. At first, nothing would be able to be seen but off in the distance there was a gleen from two glowing moon-blue eyes looking right at the group and it wasn't moving slowly, any delay and whatever it was... it would catch them.
[break][break]
[attr="class","header2"]GM Notes
[break][break]
You entered the part of the forest that you knew was dangerous due to the 'pet' being there, not knowing if there was any real reason the normally calculated tactician would do something so deadly. The area instantly went dark and all sound was removed, it was even slightly colder. Soon enough you came across Joseph who seemed to believe you entered sooner than you should have been. After a bit of backwards and forwards, Joseph stated he had been near some strange obsidian markings that had caused the floral mage to grab him and run, the temperature now was well below zero, and wails, screaming and begging happened all around before it went silent and what was seen in the distance was two glowing moon blue orbs looking at the group and by how big they were becoming whatever it was was approaching quickly. Now make a decision... try and fight or run...
Amaya followed after hino once everyone had seemed to emerge from the house, last being Sol. She listened to his words before watching the floral mage remain lost in her thoughts as she walked. Amaya then saw Jin walk up to Sol as she listened to his words as she knew exactly what he was getting at. She was going to speak up but Hino got to it before her. She was glad for the assistance with her clothing as she was sure she could have managed.
[break][break] “Jun, Maybe at one point in my life, I could say, I did need others to speak on my behalf because I couldn’t bring myself to speak up. However, I grew up learning quickly that speaking such as that is nothing more than speech. I swim with piranhas everyday I step off my estate or out of my circle. I don’t need anyone to fight my battles or hold my handle or I would not be here myself.” She spoke gently before hearing a familiar voice turning to see it was Joseph, it was then she saw Hino dart at him as she looked at the two boys before darting after hino. She listened to Joseph and Hino’s conversation before realizing he had been near one of the onyx markings. She followed within seconds after Hino stating they need to run.
[break][break] She adjusted her staff out of the strap of her bag as she looked ahead allowing her eyes to dart for any and all signs of a amethyst markings. It seemed to take them a bit before finding one as she stopped with hino and joseph turning around before feeling the temperature had fallen drastically, wails of pain could be heard from all around from all sorts of creatures experiencing agonizing pain, some voices were women begging for mercy and for their lives to be spared before shrilled screams could be heard before once again that deadly silence returned. Just seeing two large blue eyes striking through the darkness. She kept her hand behind her on her staff, keeping silent, but watch of the eyes. She didn’t know what they had planned or how they would fight. She felt like they needed to continue running but it was strange for such a pet to do this much change to the environment. How strong was this thing.
Rank: Senior[break] Ability Appearance: two streaks of navy blue strands that give off a look of glitter. Her left eyes turns pure white with a glow and a wanning crescent moon in the middle of her forehead[break] Dive Activation:Slowly she spin the staff next to her left side with her left hand while continuing the spin behind her back, to the right side, infront of her then above her head before pulling it down infront with both hands stopping the spinlooks like this.[break] Time of Usage: 3[break] Spell Lock and Spirit Drain:5[break] Mana Cost: 30 | 15[break] Dive Abilities: +10 Control, Senior Rank Speed Buff, +10 Sensory[break][break]
This can only occur once every three posts. [break][break] Weaknesses:[break] - Unless within a dual specialized spell knock-back will automatically be attached to attack creation spells[break] - Spells cost 20% additional mana from the natural base amount of mana

[attr="class","julienglass2scroll"] Sol had approached the group after he had exited the cabin and he was approached by Jin who seemed to have an issue with the interactions that had happened when they were in the cabin and the white haired void user thought that his silence and lack of argument against his family in defense of his girlfriend was a lack of backbone, Sol raised an eyebrow at that since he didn't think he had a need to defend Amaya nor did he feel that Elysi had attacked any of them verbally. Before Sol could respond though Hinota came to his defense after she mentioned that talking should be most likely kept to a minimum and if need be in hushed tones, she went on to explain that there wasn't a need to scold the mantis as his family's situation was complex to say the least and that Amaya was likely not effected by Elysi's words due to her own social circle something the young woman confirmed. [break][break] After she spoke Sol would respond to Jin his tone hushed and calm “Rest assured Jun I have plenty of backbone but there was no reason to argue with my family member since while he could be seen as a bit harsh he has every reason to be given his situation but more then that he wasn't being malicious he was being honest with us and telling us things we needed to hear” he explained his tone showing he wasn't angry but understanding since as Hinota had explained his family was complex to put it lightly. However his attention was pulled as they heard and saw a familiar face in the form of Joseph.”what on earth is he doing here in the forest” he muttered so quiet that no one but him would hear it before he heard Hinota explain that he had been missing for two months, however the moment that the golden dawn member mentioned he had been near a obsidian marker and that they didn't feel good Sols eyes widened as panic tried to set in but he remained calm since they had been told what that entails if one was around them and how to deal with it. [break][break] Sol quickly followed the moment that Hinota grabbed Joseph and started to run telling them to keep an eye out for a amethyst marker and Sol nodded as not only was he following but so was Amaya, Sol was confident that Jin would follow as well since they knew that that beast was not a foe they could handle right now and as Sol remained on Hinotas tail he felt the temperature plummet and and he felt the cold biting at him already as the sound of women begging for their lives before the sound of screams filled the air, Sol quickly sucked in a breath of the cold air before he released a near silent hiss as he exhaled thru his teeth and he pushed the sounds out of his mind since right now the most important thing was getting to a safety marker, once they got there Sol moved as close to the tree as possible as Hinota Jospeh and Amaya did the same and while Amaya had her hand on her staff as they remained silent Sol had his right hand read to snap his fingers to summon his golems if things went south. [break][break] Right now they were remaining still and waiting since the safety marker would hide their scent as long as they stayed close and didnt move or make a noise, the Mantis spotted the moon blue eyes rapidly approaching them but his own ruby slitted orbs remained locked on them and while they were apprehension in them they were also still determined, Sol knew they needed to remain silent and still just for a little bit but all of them were ready in case the worst case scenario happened. Joseph picked Rizpaw back up before running in Hinotas direction. It didn't matter if he hadn't been saying he was around the black markings. The group seemed to know what it meant and what precautions to take. The young man didn't know what it meant or what actions to take to counter it, if anything at all. He would trust the group because he trusted most of the people in it. Hinotas intelligence and good decision making skills had been proven to him in their very first mission. Even if Amaya did seem naive to him, she was still a reliable cousin. Sol was one of the people who spoke sense in the group he ended up with during the freeing of Kikka mission. If they couldn't talk, than there was no talking. There was no verbal talking and his hands where not free to speak in sign language. It was easy to get frustrated, because he was tired of being tired and was one of those people that couldn't really think their thoughts in mental words. Knowing you aren't the only person like that didn't make it easier, nor did it help when other methods of thoughts were blocked. The carbon matter spirit didn't move from her spot, though she could have. Her partner wasn't as good at decisions when he couldn't sign, but this wasn't the first or last time something had blocked him from using sign language.
It was unlikely to be the last before escaping the forest. She hadn't lost hope, even if she was positive he was almost ready to before running into the group. If only this was the first time Joseph had felt watched, or had run from something in this place. Seeing the group had been shocking enough, like seeing a piece of fiction one could touch and hear. The amount of time that had passed still reverberated through the mind, like a piece of information that couldn't be processed yet. It would have been a hard swallow to accept it had been half a month. The idea of having been in this forest for over a month would have been a hard pill to swallow on its own. Almost two months would definitely take a lot of processing and talking, which couldn't be done yet. If the man was able to sit and chat, it would be much easier for them to see how all of this made sense. Learning what is edible in a forest as chaotic as this one wouldn't be easy, nor take only a few weeks. Running out of food supplies from Cover wouldn't have been a fast venture either, not when they were all things he made specifically to be able to last a long time and keep him healthy. It was hard to keep track of time when it had been hard to keep safe and sound. The witches were supposed to hate men, but he did have an old lady as a partner.
Besides that? Joseph wasn't physically capable of getting big broad shoulders, nor a buff thick build. He actually even made sure to not eat too much out of the risk the added weight might tamper with his mobility used to have. Be it it still did or didn't, that was never a risk worth taking. Or perhaps just being an oddball made him interesting enough to not let out and keep alive. He should look scared, but he just looked tired and annoyed. He felt tired and annoyed. The fear was there, but so was some amount of feeling that he wouldn't ever leave that place alive. An emotion that doesn't exactly come to life in only a matter of weeks and takes more than seeing people who don't want to murder him or treat their life like a toy to play with. Of course the cold and sounds were something to get the heart beating faster, so these emotions just all had to live in a chaotic mess within his person for now. Of course that wouldn't be complete without the feeling of how nice it had been to see Hinota treat him like a friend she had been concerned for and cared about. The last time he had seen her, she had been afraid of him. An even amount of different positive and negative emotions didn't make any of the emotions mix any better. A heart pounding fear, exhaustion, denial, acceptance of death, hope that life wasn't over, joy in familiar faces, relief in regaining a friend, and no longer being the only human.
He would run as hard and long as necessary. The others knew things he didn't, that much was clear to him even without it being spoken aloud. When Hinota stopped, he and it seemed everyone else did as well. Why did he motion to be quiet? He went to the tree, remaining as quiet as ever. Shouldn't they keep running? The man didn't know they were near a mark that would keep them hidden. Their corpse pale pink eyes looked towards the others briefly, his body stiffening a bit. There was a want and urge to run, but the man would trust the group.

Jin Zhongli
Although Jin was confronting Sol, his main attention was on Hinota actually. She decided to lead them down a path they could deduce wasn't that safe, but he was wondering what was the reason. And he also found Zaven's disappearance rather concerning. Now there was also another arrival, someone with peach colored hair who was a member of the Golden Dawn along with Hinota.
Of course more help didn't hurt, but Jin had not planned for this persons arrival. He truly knew that when he took on this mission it was going to be very dangerous, life threatening he had accepted this. But so much was happening he found himself questioning what exactly was going on. Hinota had told Jin to not scold Sol, but Jin didn't wasn't scolding him at least his own eyes. There had been enough scolding for the day. No Jin wanted to see the nobles response to his words.
And of course Amaya's response was that she didn't need any defending. Of course she didn't. Complex families, royalty, nobility, socialites, they all could begin to look like pirhana’s after a while. Jin was aware of this, there was no time to explain his point but Hinota and Amaya wouldn't be on the same page as Jin. Then again this could all be stemming from Jin's own ego.
Jin's listened to Sol's response clearly "Every reaso-" Jin began to reply, before stopping himself when he spotted that something was wrong. Hinota's words hit next as she said they needed to run. In all honesty the rogue wanted to stay and fight, he wasn't against running when needed. But he didn't see this situation that way, obviously this enemy wasn't a typical one they could just defeat outright and kill. It was lack for better work complex, Jin wanted to test it's abilities see how they worked so he could figure out its weakness. No matter how powerful an ability or mage there was always a weakness, always.
But the rogue followed for now, his speed allowed him to keep up, as he followed Hinota to get to a safe spot. There was a drop in temperature as he noticed he could see his breath in the air, and felt deep cold chills on his skin beneath his clothing. Not only that but now the screams and wailing of people in danger were not ringing in his ears. Could it be from the being itself, perhaps a illusion of sorts. Jin would activate his own sensory abilities if wasn't for this white noise in this forest that prevented him from doing so. The white haired rogue also wanted to test how this being changed the elements and settings around it, he could create a void marker next to the creature and observe how it reacts to it. But right now Jin wasn't in a position to test any of this, he simply ran and followed instructions for now. There was to much at risk, and to much working against him right now to do what he had in mind. He wanted to be rid of this white noise as quickly as possible.

[attr="class","tamaflowersscroll"] The floral mage knew that there would have been questions about why she led them into the most dangerous part of the forest and she was willing to explain if asked, but that time wasn't now. She hadn't even seen the moon-blue orbs looking at them, she had grabbed Joseph's sleeve and ran on instinct. The daemonic wraith was a threat, one that they would eventually need to face but it wasn't one that they could logically go against right now as far as she was concerned, they just didn't have enough information on it. She believed that any attempts to try could and would end up with needless loss of life. She had no idea how they would be able to uncover that sort of information, surely, if there was more information Elysi would have shared it. Then again given the family he came from, she wasn't exactly sure that was entirely true either. [break][break] She had been the first to reach the Amethyst marking, she was slightly winded but did her best not to keel over as she started to catch her breath. She could only hope that when she instructed the others to run they wouldn't attempt to be a hero and do just that. It was then that she saw the first of her companions join them, she smiled at Amaya before looking up at Joseph and quickly signed for him to remain completely still and quiet until she spoke and everything would be explained. With that, she went still and watched as Sol and soon Jin met up with them. It was only then that she noticed the moon-blue orbs that had been transfixed on the group. She remained quiet and still, she had been through dangers before, she had dealt with daemons before but this was on a whole different level. [break][break] Still, she could keep things compartmentalized. It was something she had learned when she noticed her most trusted retainers doing it when she was little. It was hard for her at first but like with everything practice made perfect, the issue was even til the present day she didn't know why they felt the need to learn such a thing. Junjie was a member of the imperial guard while Luli was the matron of her palace they never needed such skills in her mind, then again until she became a magic knight a lot of what she had learned could have been argued that she wouldn't need due to the fact she was expected to spend her life in the imperial court as a devoted wife. She watched as Sol and Jin both got ready to attack if it came to that, she was pleading that it wouldn't, that the information they had been given was good.
